I think it's all the heavy breathing for a while just cramps it up a little. Whoopsie daisy there.

Alex, what's it like dancing with 10 people compared to your normal two?

[Alex]

It's fun just to see how every everyone else works in the team dance and, like, learning choreography and I guess getting to work with the other pros too is fun. Just like how they explain things. Getting work with the girls is nice. So they can teach me more, like, feminine hands and stuff. But it's been really fun. And our dance is just like. I feel like we're all laughing the whole time. It's a good vibe. These steps, learning them came really fast to me because I think I'm by maybe two months in becoming a little bit of a better dancer surf like Val. It didn't take as long for me to learn the new steps in footwork and framing. It just kind of, like, made sense. So that was like, the coolest part of this week. I was like, wow. I'm kind of understanding it now. I feel like this happens every week, but, like, until I go on stage, my full performance isn't there in terms of my face. So I've really got to still bring that. She's cooking.

What's the dance this week?

[Alex]

Our dance this week is Impossa Dovi, which is very, like Val explained to me, like, a matador with a bowl and, like, a cape. So we've, like, cape and skirt work, which is also really stressing me out. And I have to walk down four stairs, which. It'll be fine. I just get very stressed about the stairs.

[Alex]

Yes, the steps are. You saw I just fell down the one step and face planted and rolled my ankle off of it. I don't know. I don't like the steps free falling down the stairs, but I'm not gonna fall. That won't happen. Now I need to stretch and practice. And now it's time to be anxious.

You said you were more anxious this week than any other.

[Jordan]

Why is that?

[Alex]

I think, like, the pressure is on. We gotta do good. Even though Val's like, we just gotta have fun. I'm like, I know you want me to do the best I can. No worries, no stress. No worries, no stress.

How was a Val this week compared to last?

[Alex]

Val was good. He was a little mean, but he was also good, like, a good way mean. He was constructive criticism mean. And I had, like, one more breakdown, and then we're fine. I think that's the key to getting a good dance is I just need to have a little breakdown first, and then I really lock in.

What are you guys dancing to this week?

We're dancing to Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi, which is going to be so fun. Such a fun song. And Bon Jovi sent us a video.

It's good. How is yours? It's kind of crazy how, like, those came together because we only had, like, one day to practice.

Ours came together really late. I think ours isn't that complicated, so it came together pretty quick.

Overall, I'm feeling good. I feel like I still want to do the dance better than I did it in dress rehearsals, so I just want to go out there and have fun and really just be. Whatever that means. I don't know who I'm channeling. I'm just gonna channel, like, a professional dancer. So maybe I'll channel Jenna Johnson. And that's my character for this week. And then all of a sudden, I'm gonna be an amazing dancer out there. That's what I think. My arms are going to be so strong and toned, and I'm going to have the abs of God. So, yeah, I'm channeling Jenna Johnson.

The biggest accomplishment is what?

That we didn't kill it.

Yeah. That we walk away knowing that we did a good. Really, a really great dance and we accomplished what we set out. The scores are a byproduct of that, and typically, they match the product. And today they did it. You know, today you gave a 40 piece and you got a 39, and that's, you know.

Bonjour. We are now in week nine, which is insane. I know. We had the rock and roll night, and now we have the 20th birthday of dancing with the Stars tonight. And this week has definitely been a little tough because I was also preparing a dance with Joey Grassaday, who won last year. So I had split time with, like, Val and Joey, and then Val had to film a Christmas special, so they missed a day of practice. So I've just felt like a little behind and panicked. I'm like, where is Val? So, yeah, like, the dance is still not where it needs to be. And we're about to go into dress rehearsal, which is the last time we do it before the show. So we really have to pull it together.

Which dance? Because you have two. Which dance do you feel like?

[Alex]

My fox shot with Val. It's good. It's just not great. And it's gonna be great because now we have a Bob Bob. And we are doing, like, old Hollywood glamour. I really like the costume tonight. I think all the vibes and the magic are coming. I just have felt a little stressed and anxious, but that's fine. No worries. I took a shot before last week's dance and I think it really helped me. So I'm going to be guzzling some tequila today, and hopefully that helps bring out my magic. But I think this is perfect. I'm excited. We have beautiful gown, which is literally the prettiest dress I've ever seen. And I'm so excited to wear this. And I'm supposed to have this on right now because I think we're Supposed to go to dress rehearsal.

I came in here today, and it was not working. So me and Val share, like, a. I guess, under part of our toilets. So I don't know what he's doing over there, but I think he clogged the toilet. And it was. Was. Mine was blue and filled to the brim, and I stepped on it to flush it, and it sprayed me in the face this morning.

Was this the first week you've done a rehearsal on your own like that?

[Alex]

Yes. I had one day without Val, which was the first day. We haven't seen each other since August 15th.

Yeah. Literally, we've seen each other every day. Like, after this is over, like, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm, like, going to have to show up at Valentina's house and stalk them. Like, I'm going to be so depressed.

Have you had these kind of nerves before this week?

[Alex]

I don't know. I'm a little bit more anxious this week. I think those dances where I have to be really graceful and charming in this, and it's easier for me to be, like, that's more my style, I guess. So now I've got to be like a princess. It's a lot to think about at once. It's like, okay, step this way, but at the same time, lean this way and look this way and have your head up and also have your elbows up and have your fingers here. But by the time I'm even thinking those things, we're 10 more steps gone. So it's just. Yeah, it's fine. It's fine.

What style dance do you have with Joey?

We're doing the jive. It's really fun. We have this move that he jumps on my face, basically, and that's how I almost broke my nose this week. But it's good. I'm not even worried for, like. I'm less worried to be like, okay, break my nose. Break my face. Than, like, me missing a step in this fox shot. That is what's really scary.
