Early ct mobile.com hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Hot Mess with Alex Earl. Wait, did I just turn that off? How do I get that back on Foreign Special guest on Today Braxton's back. Because this is like a little pre Valentine's Day episode and we have a really fun activity today. Or I hope it's gonna be fun. I'm not really sure it's gonna be fun. So I mean this will be a really great one to watch if you guys watch it on YouTube. But if you're listening, you'll still be able to follow along because we're gonna be playing this game where we paint each other and during it we're gonna ask each other. So this is going to be so much fun.
Braxton
This is not going to go well. I'm actually terrified.
Alex Earl
I'm actually pretty good at self portraits. Like I think I'll be able to do you amazing.
Braxton
I'm not. I can't. There's a few things That I absolutely cannot do. And drawing is at the top of that list.
Alex Earl
So Braxton didn't want to do this episode because Braxton is like a perfectionist, and he likes to be the best at everything. And today he's upset that I'm going to be better at this than him.
Braxton
I'm not upset, but it's. Yeah, it's a certainty.
Alex Earl
I'm going to blow you out of the park.
Braxton
It's going to be so bad. Just know that I love you. And I don't. This is not how I view you. How I view you. Just.
Alex Earl
You better make me pretty, babe.
Braxton
It's not going to.
Alex Earl
We're going to have a fight.
Braxton
It is not going to get translated on this canvas. I just want you to know that. But I'm going to do my best.
Alex Earl
Well, it's almost Valentine's Day, so happy pre Valentine's Day to everyone. And I'm very, very excited for our Valentine's Day this year. This is our second Valentine's Day together.
Braxton
We're going to dinner the night before because the night of. We have different plans.
Alex Earl
Yeah, I'm. I forced Braxton into.
Braxton
It wasn't a.
Alex Earl
It was a trick question. He was like, what do you want for Valentine's Day? And I was like, oh, well, actually, Braxton asked me to be his valentine. Very important.
Braxton
Very important.
Alex Earl
I, like, started. We were laying in bed, and I don't know, it was. It was literally like midnight. And I was like, Braxton like, didn't ask me.
Braxton
Like, heating up.
Alex Earl
I was like, he didn't ask me to be his valentine. So I was like, started sitting there, and I was like, literally at the same second he knew. And he was like, you said something like, will you be my valentine?
Braxton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
And then I said, what? And I said, how'd you know that? Whatever. And I was like, did I say something? Because I was just thinking that. And then he showed me in his notes. His notes. App of a to do list of the day. It said, ask Alex to be my valentine. So then I was like, okay. I thought, like, I thought you were hearing the thoughts inside my brain. I wish you have me chipped.
Braxton
I do have you chipped.
Alex Earl
Yeah, we have each other's locations now. Speaking of chipping each other.
Braxton
We do. I don't even remember how that came to be. Well, no, she. She shared her location with me on, like, an Uber ride one time, and.
Alex Earl
I get shared in every time I'm in a car ride alone. I think I'm dying.
Braxton
Yeah. And shared indefinitely. But, like, I, I guess I, I, like, shared it or hit to like, end of day, whatever it was. And so she thought for the longest time that I had her location, but at some point that logged off because I was like, look, I thought, I.
Alex Earl
Always thought he had mine. And then he was like, oh, I don't have it. And then I was like, oh, someone just shared it. Not in, like, I think more in, like a concern type of way. Which is good because I'm never for sharing locations with a boyfriend where it's like, you just, like, don't trust him, so you just want to, like, stalk him. I check your location when that was my next question.
Braxton
Do you check it?
Alex Earl
Sometimes if you don't answer me. So I'm like, oh, is he working out? Or, like, what's he doing?
Braxton
That's fair.
Alex Earl
And. But honestly, I've only checked it like, a handful of times. But the other night I got very stressed out when I was on the plane coming to New Orleans because I texted Braxton and it didn't go. It didn't, like, deliver. It wasn't green. It just, like, didn't deliver. So it looked like his phone was dead. And then I sent him a text an hour later, and he, I. He knew I was getting on a flight and I knew he was going out to this party in New Orleans. And then I got on the flight and I called you and the FaceTime ring, like, went through, and then I was, like, confused. So then I checked your location and said your location was off. I. I freaked out. I texted all my friends and they were like, oh, his phone's dead. Like, his phone's probably dead. And I said, no, no, no.
Braxton
Oh, see, I didn't know this.
Alex Earl
Yeah, I forgot to tell you this.
Braxton
But we FaceTimed when you were on the plane before you took off.
Alex Earl
Yeah, because you guys, there was like 30 minutes and then he got service, but for these 30 minutes, I was like, oh, my God, something happened to Braxton. He's kidnapped. And my friends were like, his phone must be dead. And I was like, I'm telling you, Braxton's phone doesn't die and Braxton's responsible. Where if he was out and his phone died, he, he would text me like, hey, babe, my phone's about to die for sure. So I was literally in a full blown panic that you were, like, kidnapped and being murdered.
Braxton
Yeah. Meanwhile, I just didn't have service.
Alex Earl
Which is great that I'm thinking of that and that you're, like, cheating on me.
Braxton
I appreciate that. But no, I just didn't have service in this place. And so I went to text her and it, you know, the bar on the top, it like, started to load, so I put it in my pocket. It's another 20, 25 minutes later, and I pull it out and she's now in the air and it goes green. So obviously when you have WI fi in the air, you can't see, like it's a text message. And. And then finally I went outside, like, got service, and she was like, I thought something really happened to you.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Braxton
But thank you.
Alex Earl
I was really concerned. Very concerned. Okay.
Braxton
Do you want to talk about what we're doing for Valentine's Day?
Alex Earl
Oh, yeah, I forgot to say.
Braxton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
So for Valentine's Day, Braxton said, what do you want? And I said, or he said, what do you want to do? And I took it as, this is an excuse.
Braxton
This is.
Alex Earl
That I get to do what I want to do.
Braxton
This is my offer.
Alex Earl
And I said, I really want to foster a dog for Valentine's Day. And he said, what? And because we're leaving, I think, six days later to go to Aspen. And I said, well, it's fine because we'll foster this dog and then afterwards, like, it'll have a family, like, it'll be adopted. And he said, what if she doesn't get adopted? She or he. And I was like, well, that's just not an option. Like, we're gonna post this dog every day. We're going to give it the best life for a week. Like, it's obviously going to find a home. And he was like, but what if it doesn't, like, and you have to give it back to the shelter? And I said, I'm not.
Braxton
Well, first of all, I'm playing devil's advocate because she's like, we're, you know, cuz we're traveling five, six days after.
Alex Earl
Because I'm not giving it back to.
Braxton
I'm like, what if? And I agree. And so that would. That was the question.
Alex Earl
If. If it doesn't get adopted, the dog's coming to Aspen with me.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
And it's staying.
Braxton
Okay. And that's what I was trying to get to.
Alex Earl
I am very concerned because Kristen and I told you guys are fostering this cat, Cali slash chili. And one day into fostering the cat, we just, like, we're like, oh, we.
Braxton
Need to keep it.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Braxton
Yeah. Well, I know that's a. I know that's going to happen, but it's a.
Alex Earl
Little bit easier than a dog.
Braxton
I Want a dog so bad. I would do anything. It's just my life mixed with your life does not set the.
Alex Earl
If I didn't travel every other day, I would have 45 dogs right now.
Braxton
Exactly.
Alex Earl
So he gets no excuses this time, because for Valentine's Day, we're going to go to the dog shelter, and I want to bring them all toys, because when we brought them for Christmas, they were so happy. So I want to bring toys, and then we'll find a buddy to take home with us. And then we're going to make pizza. Yeah, we're going to make pizza. Because I was like, that would be kind of rude. I would love to go on, like, a Valentine's Day date, which is why I think we're going to go the night before. I felt like that would be kind of rude of us if we got this dog, and then for sure we wouldn't do that. We had just left it at home on Valentine's Day.
Braxton
That wouldn't happen.
Alex Earl
So this dog's gonna have the best Valentine's Day ever, and we're gonna be its Valentine's. And I'm so excited.
Braxton
It's gonna be a lot of fun.
Alex Earl
I'm so excited.
Braxton
Good.
Alex Earl
This is gonna be so much fun. And we need a really loving pit bull, and I think we need to show people that pit bulls are nice.
Braxton
I agree. There's a negative connotation and a misconception about pit bulls. All right, so maybe that's the. Maybe that's the goal.
Alex Earl
Yeah, we have a lot of goals here. I also want Braxton to get a.
Braxton
Dog, so I want a dog.
Alex Earl
I really think you should get a dog. You don't travel as much as me.
Braxton
That's relative. You're right. There's not many people who travel as much as you. But I'm also out of the house a lot of hours of each day.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Well, Brockson also would get a golden.
Braxton
Retriever, which there's nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with that. I've only. I only grew up with goldens. I had one. His name was Buddy from when I was, like, two, two and a half till I was 19. And the vet was, like, that's, like, the oldest golden trey retriever I've ever seen. So when Buddy died, my mom, like, could not stand an empty house, obviously. So, like, six months after she got score. So, like, those only two dogs.
Alex Earl
And score is really cute. That's Bracken when we went to North Carolina. So cute. And I do see the golden retriever hype now.
Braxton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
And not that I didn't see it before. I've just never, like, had one or been around one. Besides, like, when people walk by on the street and I'm like, can I pet your dog? So, Braxton, we're going to have to figure this out.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
In the back of, like, our house, wherever we live, I want to have, like, a background, like, barn area.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
Slash, like, little mini animal shelter.
Braxton
And my mom, I would love.
Alex Earl
And my mom is gonna run it, because Mom's gonna need. Mom's gonna need a job. So. Yeah, no, I told my mom. She said this. Perfect. So she's gonna move in back there, and my mom's gonna run the animal shelter. And that's also, like, her dream. So then we'll get, like, really great girls, and, like, we'll have, like, interns come in, and they'll help get, like, really good content of the dogs. So the goal is that they're there, like, no longer than two weeks, and they have so much fun.
Braxton
I would love that. This is the first time hearing of this dream, but I'm fully in support.
Alex Earl
I didn't tell you this?
Braxton
No.
Alex Earl
Oh, yeah.
Braxton
So this is not at all.
Alex Earl
I'm gonna have a sidekick animal shelter.
Braxton
Okay. I like that.
Alex Earl
Cool.
Braxton
You ready?
Alex Earl
Yeah, I'm ready to get painting. Are you ready? Is the question.
Braxton
Absolutely not.
Alex Earl
I should roll up my sleeve.
Braxton
Yeah.

Alex Earl
This is our second Valentine's Day together. How? Before we get into like the question games, I just want to talk about Valentine's Day for a second. When did you first, like when did you first take a girl out for Valentine's Day? Oh my God.
Braxton
Goodness. I was with. I was with my dad and my stepmom. I think I was in. I was either in seventh or eighth grade, so I was in middle school. I think it was seventh grade.
Alex Earl
In middle school you had a Valentine?
Braxton
It was middle school. We, we went, picked her up and we all went to dinner and they nicknamed her Skater Girl because of what she wore.
Alex Earl
What do you mean?
Braxton
And she just. I don't really know. I don't really remember, but what she wore, I guess to Valentine's Day. From now on, like if they ever, ever refer to her, which is like never. If they ever, if they ever do just.
Alex Earl
Sorry. Are we still thinking about your middle school girlfriend?
Braxton
I am not. I'm just saying when you ask them the story of going to dinner that Valentine's Day night, they will call her Skater Girl.
Alex Earl
I used to be a skater girl. Did I ever tell you that?
Braxton
No, you did not.
Alex Earl
Like what? That's how I have all these scars on my knuckles. 1, 2, 3, 4. I ran over all my knuckles skateboarding. And then I quit. But I used to be a tomboy.
Braxton
I ran over all your knuckles?
Alex Earl
Yeah, like, I went, I got a, a skate. It was a long board. Sorry. And I went down my dad's driveway cuz he had a hill and I sat on the skateboard and then like was holding onto it with my hands and then I hit a bump and I like put my hands down and I ran over all my hands.
Braxton
Okay, so you sat on the longboard?
Alex Earl
Well, yeah, but I used to ride it around my like community neighborhood.
Braxton
That's kind of cool. I had, yeah, I had A skateboard in like. I don't know what was that? Third grade? Second. But that didn't last too long. It's like, what just wasn't mine.
Alex Earl
I used to be a really big tomboy at that age too. I. I don't know if I've ever told you guys this. I would, like, only shop in the boys section. I wanted to paint my room black. I only. The only gift I ever wanted was red fire ants. Yeah. I was like, having a tomboy face. And then I grew out of it, I guess.
Braxton
You definitely grew out of it. But when.
Alex Earl
That's the joke.
Braxton
When. When did you.
Alex Earl
It only lasted like a year or two.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
Until I discovered, like, justice blue bras. And I was like, I need that. I used to buy. I used to buy push up bras and like, bras that were huge on me and, like, didn't fit me at all.
Braxton
Just manifesting.
Alex Earl
I would just wear them manifest and put socks in them. I would put socks in them under my school uniform so it looked like I had boobs because I was always sad.
Braxton
I feel like that was like everybody in middle school.
Alex Earl
Yeah. But I think my first Valentine's Day, I went to dinner. So, like my high school boyfriend. But this is like one high school good. I don't like, I don't like, I don't count him as a boyfriend.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
But like, I guess my high school boyfriend, freshman year. Poor guy. No, it's just like, it wasn't like a real relationship. First of all.
Braxton
I'm fine with that. I'm not arguing with you.
Alex Earl
I didn't experience the real feelings. I feel like that I felt in other times, so.
Braxton
Okay. Yeah, way to walk into that. That's fine with me. I don't. Truthfully, I don't think any of them count anyhoo. If you ask me.
Alex Earl
Yeah. None of them count. Losers. You're getting me off track. Oh, we went to dinner and then afterwards we went to CVS and I picked out like a bear and some flowers and it was really nice night.
Braxton
But his mom.
Alex Earl
His mom did drive us to the dinner. That's cute. So it's my parents.
Braxton
Yeah. Wait, you picked out your own flowers?
Alex Earl
Well, yeah.
Braxton
Okay. How'd you feel about that? Because that.
Alex Earl
I was happy to get a gift. Like, I was. I felt like I was living in a movie. I was like, are you kidding me? We got to go get one of these heart teddy bears and heart shaped chocolates. Yeah. I was having the time of my life.
Braxton
Yeah. I remember in second grade, my dad took me to CVS before Valentine's Day, and I was freaking out cause I didn't know what to get my hopeful valentine in second grade.
Alex Earl
You had a second grade valentine?
Braxton
Okay, dad will tell you this story.
Alex Earl
So Braxton's had 10,000 girlfriends.
Braxton
That is.
Alex Earl
It is true. Every time. Why don't I tell them every time I go through your phone?
Braxton
Alex. No, no, no, no.
Alex Earl
She not, like, go through his.
Braxton
No, not go through my. But she plays this game. I play this game, which I. I don't agree with.
Alex Earl
Anytime. Let me just. Like. So I hit the top of his camera roll. And you know how you can hit the top and it scrolls up, like, really, really fast? And then I stop it. I've never once.
Braxton
That is not true.
Alex Earl
Stopped without there being a new girl there. And I said, now who is this?
Braxton
But also, it's like any.
Alex Earl
I'm a girlfriend number. Like 10,000 over here.
Braxton
It is any female. It's not like girlfriends. Just any female. Like a picture of me and three friends or me, all my boys and their girlfriends. It's just like always. Like, who is that?
Alex Earl
Well, yeah. Who is it?
Braxton
Oh, my goodness.
Alex Earl
Okay. All right. I'm confused on how to do this hair because it's looking like.
Braxton
Okay, I.
Alex Earl
Hold on.
Braxton
I think the.
Alex Earl
You look like Caillou.
Braxton
Don't do that. Okay. I actually feel pretty good about this so far.
Alex Earl
Well, hold on.
Braxton
I'm a long ways away. Don't worry.
Alex Earl
What did we do for our first Valentine's Day together? Our first Valentine's Day.
Braxton
We had a fun day. Yeah. So we went to the Faina. We had. We got massage.
Alex Earl
It was a whole surprise day. Can you.
Braxton
Could you pull?
Alex Earl
What, my glasses down?
Braxton
No, I was gonna say your hair back, but I can just cover this. I don't know.
Alex Earl
Give me hair, please.
Braxton
So we went to the Faina and we had a massage, which was amazing. And then we went. Went downstairs, had lunch, and then we went to the zoo. Remember to see the coffee bars with.
Alex Earl
We went to the zoo with Kristen.
Braxton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
Because I didn't want Kristen to be alone on Valentine's Day, so Kristen came. Braxton is so good about also dating all of my friends. So Kristen came to the zoo with us, and I guess we have, like, very animal feel filled Valentine's Day.
Braxton
We do.
Alex Earl
So that was. So the zoo was actually great, but it made me really sad. I actually, like, don't really like zoos. It is honest. It is sad for anyone listening or maybe any guys, although I'm not sure how many guys are listening to this podcast? But, like, girls just, like, put this on in the car for your boyfriend. You can just put it at this point and just, like, hit play, act like it's random. What should guys be doing for their girls for Valentine's Day? Or any. Any tips? Any romantic.
Braxton
Yeah, I. Honestly, guys, it's not that hard. And girls, it's not that hard. I think. I think Valentine's Day is not like, a. Oh, let me, like, impress her with the world. I gotta go all out. Which you can. That's. That's amazing. But, like, I don't think girls should, like, expect that. But I think what makes girls happy on Valentine's Day is, like, they feel like something was planned, right? Like, they feel like you, like, put thought into it. It's not like you Woke up on February 14th, and you were like, oh, it's Valentine's Day. So, like, genuinely, like, I would say two things. Get her flowers. Get her. You know, it doesn't even have to be, like, a gift. Like, get her flowers, write her a card, and then, like, do something that day that makes her feel, like, appreciated.
Alex Earl
I like sentimental things. I think they're always the best. Yeah, like, not monetary, but, like, sentimental.
Braxton
You want it. You just. You just want her to feel like you were thought of. And also girlfriends.
Alex Earl
Oh, you have an arch in your eyebrow.
Braxton
Are you saying that in a bad way or.
Alex Earl
I don't know.
Braxton
Okay. Also girlfriends. Like, it will. It doesn't have to be one. One way. Like, Alex got me flowers for our one year, and, like, I felt like that was the first time I ever, like, got flowers, and it was actually pretty cool, actually.
Alex Earl
Yeah, I did get you flowers.
Braxton
I actually really enjoyed that because we.
Alex Earl
Weren'T together, and I wanted to give him something, but I did. I think that was definitely the first time I've ever gotten a guy flowers.
Braxton
Yeah, but it was, like, really nice and thoughtful, and it was the first time I've ever, like, been given flowers. Yeah, that's really sweet. So, yeah, that would be my advice. Just do something that you guys that is, like, important to her and just make her feel like you planned it.
Alex Earl
All right, so we're gonna play this game. I'm gonna ask you these questions in red, and then you asked me the ones in blue.
Braxton
Okay. Beautiful.
Alex Earl
So who do you think was more nervous on our first date?
Braxton
Explain you. And only reason being is that I knew where we were going and what we were doing, and you had no idea.
Alex Earl
Oh, I'm thinking you're Thinking of the helicopter, I'm thinking of our first, like, dinner date. But that actually does make sense. I was so nervous.
Braxton
I would still say. I would still say you even our dinner date. Especially because of the entrance.
Alex Earl
Our first dinner date. I walked into Broczen's house and I was so nervous, and I literally just like, tripped over my own boots and, like, face planted.
Braxton
Yeah. But yes, the helicopter for sure, because you just. You had no idea what we were doing, and we were going to literally the middle of nowhere.
Alex Earl
Yeah. That was crazy. That was a crazy first date, which I do feel like I've said a lot on here, but maybe if anyone's new and doesn't know, Braxton picked me up from class. And we only. Only knew each other for, like, a few weeks at this point, but we never, like, really hung out or anything. And I've only seen you out, like, a few times, and you were like, I'm gonna take you. I don't think you said a date, but you were like, I want to take you to do something. But obviously I was like, date and day. And he picked me up from class.
Braxton
Look at me, please.
Alex Earl
He picked me up from class. I brought heels to class. I did, like, a full beat. And then he, like, took me to an airport, and I was like, what is going on? And we went on a helicopter ride around Miami. That was a really crazy first date. Were you like, I want to impress this girl. Let me do something crazy?
Braxton
Yeah. Well, it was. It was more like. Yeah, it had to be, like. It had to be, like, different. Like, I wanted to do something different. And I didn't know exactly what that was different. You were just different.
Alex Earl
Like, did you know you liked me at this point? Or do you take a girls on helicopters? All first dates.
Braxton
I'm proud of that. No, that was my first time ever.
Alex Earl
Ever helicoptering?
Braxton
No, it's not a trick question. Oh, yeah. Yes, obviously. Of course.
Alex Earl
So why. Why.
Braxton
That might have been my first. Why did you go so full out for me?
Alex Earl
But why was I special?
Braxton
Because you were.
Alex Earl
Answer the question.
Braxton
Because you were special. You just. You just were.
Alex Earl
Okay, well, I'm killing it, so watch out.
Braxton
I don't. I don't doubt that.
Alex Earl
So there's nothing else to why I was special?
Braxton
No, you just. You just were. There was. I don't know what's. Like. You can't describe it. You were just special. And I wanted to do something different, and I picked that, and I think I did.
Alex Earl
I'm sorry, I. I made your ear really big. Oh, Alex, I'm. I'm fixing it. Braxton has this cute little thing where his ears, like, stick out at the top. So I'm trying to, like, emulate it on here, but, like, I don't even know if I should have attempted to do ears because.
Braxton
Yeah, that's interesting. What do you think I'm most sensitive to during a fight or disagreement?
Alex Earl
Oh, you don't, like, when, like, I don't take accountability.
Braxton
That's a good.
Alex Earl
Anyone doesn't take accountability in general, that's a good. Braxton just likes you to admit, like, what you did, and then we can move on and work on it or whatever.
Braxton
But I think that's very fair. Like, it's, like, it's simple.
Alex Earl
Like, yeah, just admit what you did.
Braxton
Yeah, that's it. Let's just. Let's be. Let's be honest here.
Alex Earl
And I learned that very early on because I think Braxton, like, one of our first conversations is just like, what do you not like when girls do? Or whatever? And he was like, not take accountability.
Braxton
So I just think that's very important in a relationship.
Alex Earl
Yeah, well, in any relationship, for sure.
Braxton
Like, you don't always have to be right or wrong. Like I say. I say it all the time. It's like, I don't. I don't want to be right. That's not the point. I just want. I don't want us to, like, understand each other. So, yeah, I think, like, accountability is a huge thing for me.
Alex Earl
So I always know. Gotta admit, sometimes I don't like it, though, that.
Braxton
What? If you ask me that question, what she hates is being told what she did.
Alex Earl
I don't. I can tell you.
Braxton
She could have told me the sky was blue. And I say, alex, like you said the sky was blue. And that, like, all of a sudden is an argument, in a sense.
Alex Earl
Well, it depends, because sometimes he remembers things the wrong way.
Braxton
There it is. And that's the point.

I'm like, giving you, like, Mac Whirl lip liner. Oh, you won't know what that is, but, like, the girls will know. That's like, what your lips look like right now. Like, I don't know. I didn't mean to make them so dark. You have literally BBL lips. So sorry. Your lips look like when I. Wait. Holy. I'm an artist.
Braxton
I think you're gonna be so impressed.
Alex Earl
What do you think? Oh, wow, this is a deep one.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
What do you think my view on marriage is?
Braxton
Oh, hold on. I'm so focused on this, babe. I'm not joking.
Alex Earl
Really?
Braxton
Yeah. Like, I cannot draw, paint, sing. Like, that's just absolutely not my alley, but maybe country, because you just have to kind of deep voice. It's. I wish. Okay, sorry, what was the question again? Oh, what. What's your view on marriage? I mean, I think that's simple. A. I don't think there's any rush in your mind, but you absolutely want to get married and you want to have kids, you want to have a family. I mean, I think you view marriage as a positive. But I. I do think that there's no. There's no, like, rush into it, you know?
Alex Earl
Yeah. I am so excited to get married.
Braxton
Yeah, I think that.
Alex Earl
But I feel like you do. I only wanna. I mean, I feel like everyone only wants this, but I want to have one marriage. So I'm like, no rush. Let's make sure it's gonna be all Good.
Braxton
For sure.
Alex Earl
I guess, like, when your parents are divorced, it just.
Braxton
And we both come from divorced parents.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Braxton
Mine got divorced when I was, like, five, six. We kind of have, like, the same type of blended family, like, between, like, my dad and my stepmom. Your dad, your stepmom. They have three little ones.
Alex Earl
We have, like, the same family setup, which is really crazy.
Braxton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
My dad and stepmom have since one of five. Our little siblings are, like, two years.
Braxton
Around the same age.
Alex Earl
Like, around the same age. I'm also one of five. And then, yeah, like, it's her and.
Braxton
Ashton, and then it's me and my older brother Austin, and then her three little ones and my three little ones.
Alex Earl
I'm excited for the day that we can get all of our little siblings together.
Braxton
I know we. Well, we're working on it this spring. Like, that's, like, one of the main goals. What's the most romantic thing I've done for you recently?
Alex Earl
You've done a lot recently. Always. What has been recently? My birthday was really romantic. When we had dinner just, like, in your backyard. And you set up your house with flowers. Like, you just do little romantic things all the time. Like, my favorite things are, like, the little letters you leave me in the morning. Like, little sticky notes. But I will say, I think one of the most romantic things you've done for me, which was actually last Valentine's Day, which I loved so much, you gave me a letter that you wrote in, like, your journal or something. How crazy that.
Braxton
That was a year ago.
Alex Earl
Yeah. That is not okay. Why is time flying so fast? You gave me this letter, or Braxton, I guess, wrote this letter to me in his journal. But, like, early on into us hanging out, and he never gave it to me. And then for Valentine's Day, he framed it and gave it to me. And it was just, like, the sweetest thing.
Braxton
It's like, kind of one of those things that she was, like, never going to see.
Alex Earl
It was kind of cooler that you wrote it, like, for me not to see. Like, I think that's what was so cool about it is, like, you were just writing that because I'm so awesome. What intimidated you most about me early on, if anything?
Braxton
You know, it's kind of. Obviously we slow played the whole thing and it was like, kind of stop. It wasn't stop and go, but it's more stop and go. Because I'd say, you know, you would. You would say, oh, I'm not looking for anything. And, you know, granted, at the time, I didn't necessarily know if I was either. But, yeah, you would say, like, you know, like, finishing up college, this, that. So I think, you know, hearing that a couple times was like, oh, like, should I. Like, should this be a pursuit or no? Like, should we. Should we do this or no? And so I think that was. Yeah, I think that was kind of hard to figure out and made it a little bit more difficult to see what. What, you know, the next three, six, eight months look like.
Alex Earl
This is what I'm telling you. Ladies can't be looking too, too desperate over here. All you got to say is that you don't want them. And then, oh, no, no.
Braxton
She didn't say she didn't want me.
Alex Earl
Fly you on a helicopter.
Braxton
She did not ever say she didn't want me. Let's. Let's walk that back.
Alex Earl
But I think what is good about that, I will say, is we've always been like. I've always felt so comfortable with Braxton telling him, because, like, usually, I don't know if you're, like, talking to a guy and you, like, don't, like, want. I don't know, sometimes you don't want to tell them how you're actually feeling, especially, like, if it's not a positive thing. And I feel like I've always felt very open and honest with you, even, like, now, like, if I don't know, anything crosses my mind, like, I think we have just, like, honest conversations. And I don't, like, hide things from you, which I think is important. It's very important in our relationship.
Braxton
And also, I think something to note is, like. And this. Good, bad, or indifferent, I think you shouldn't get upset at how somebody feels, right? And especially if they, like, come to you and talk to you about it and tell you. Because, like, at the end of the day, like, that's how they feel. And to me, it's like, I would much rather know. I would much rather see what's behind the curtain, whatever it is. And this could be, like, a great thing, too. But I think the harder thing is to hear things that, you know, you don't necessarily love. But I always tell Alex, like, I'll never get upset with how you feel because it's, like, how you feel. Now. What you do because of how she feels is, you know, obviously a separate conversation. But I don't think you should ever react and get upset with somebody for how they feel, because at least. At least they're bringing it to you. And, you know.
Alex Earl
Yeah, that's true. Wait, mine's Kind of shaping out to be pretty good.
Braxton
Okay. I'm, like. I'm, like, not sure how has your definition of love changed, if at all, specifically between us or, you know, from, I guess, predating to now dating or from three years ago to now?
Alex Earl
Well, I think I really understand a little bit more when people are saying you love someone not with their flaws, but, like, I mean, yeah, I guess, you know, and it's like, not because, like, you do something one day, I'm not, like, suddenly not gonna like you. Like, I wouldn't want to imagine, like.
Braxton
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Alex Earl
Life without you. You could, you know, have something terrible happen to you and, like, I don't know, your face got burned off or something. Like, whatever, whatever. But, like, I would still want to be with you because I love you for who you are on the inside. And I think that is a big thing that's changed for me is, like, I didn't. I didn't really understand when people said that, and I kind of thought they were big fat liars.
Braxton
I think that's the sweetest. The absolute sweetest thing you've ever said to me. Like, I kid you not, and not saying it diminishes anything else you said to me, but, like, that's truly, like, the nicest thing. And that is what everybody, I would say, says unconditional love is.
Alex Earl
Yeah, like, that's. I really think it's like, an ultimate best friend.
Braxton
I don't. I don't think you could have answered that any better. I really appreciate that.
Alex Earl
Thank you.
Braxton
Sweet.
Alex Earl
What's the best gift I've given you?
Braxton
There's two. I think Christmas this year was, like.
Alex Earl
That was a big gift.
Braxton
It was a big gift, but that wasn't the point. It was the point of, like, when I talked about Valentine's Day, about doing things that, like, your person knows that you, like, plan thought about, like, put effort into. I think that was the same thing because it was such an amazing gift. But it was like, you had no input from me. You had no help.
Alex Earl
You, like, did all this struggle to get.
Braxton
I know. And you did all that on your own without me ever knowing. And I just, like. I don't know. I appreciate the thought process behind. Behind it. That was a phenomenal gift. And also, I would say my birthday, like, not this past year, the first year, because, like, it was just. We went on a trip, and she just surprised me. And, like, the present was like a. Pack your bags, we're going.
Alex Earl
Good trip.
Braxton
That was. That was an amazing.
Alex Earl
I Mean, a good present.
Braxton
That was also an amazing present, but a good trip.
Alex Earl
I'm a pretty good gift giver.
Braxton
You are. I'm actually really impressed because I'm not easy to get gifts for.
Alex Earl
Getting gifts for guys is so terrible.
Braxton
I also just. I. I tell her all the time. Like, she's like, what do you want? I'm like, a card. Like, I don't. I don't want for anything. I. I don't know. I mean, my. My mom could tell you the same thing. Like, she's. She gets mad at me every year for Christmas because I don't have a list.
Alex Earl
Yeah, you are annoying. For Christmas, I was like, can you just tell me one thing you want? Like, just tell me. Like, I told him a million things I would want.
Braxton
I did not expect the spreadsheet that I got. All right, what's one difference between us that you love?
Alex Earl
When I'm, like, a little stressed out or in, like, a heightened situation, you're really good at, like, backing it up and putting things into perspective and, like, listing things out and just, like, calming me down. So I would say that.
Braxton
How do you propose to do eyebrows?
Alex Earl
How. I'm not telling you.
Braxton
I love that you help me pack. I'm a horrific packer.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Braxton is good and calm at most things, but when Braxton gets a little stressed out, he gets a little stressed out about. And it's about, like, a presentation or like, something like, I don't know. When he packs this man. I went, I'm the room. Before this trip, he had his whole closet on the floor. He'll have 45 sneakers on the floor before a trip. He has a list. I came in, he had, like, a note list of everything, which I think that was.
Braxton
That was to help me pack less, not to overpack. I was just like, okay, I know.
Alex Earl
But I'm saying, like, it's crazy. Like, we are going away for two days, and he has, like, a notebook list out of what he has to bring and everything. And, I mean, I understand it stresses you out, but, like, he. I've never seen someone so terrible at packing as I've seen Braxton.
Braxton
Oh, okay. Let's stop this bleed.
Alex Earl
He just can't do it. He can't.
Braxton
But I'm getting better.

Alex Earl
How have you seen me grow in this relationship? Oh, that's a good one.
Braxton
That's a very good one. How have I seen you grow in this relationship? All right, hold on, let me get this color combo right. I mean it is a lot of ways I would say, like, would you say you're the same person as call it two years ago?
Alex Earl
No.
Braxton
Yeah. And I think a lot about you has changed. Not that it needed to, but like for the better. Like I've seen you in all aspects of life, like your friendships, like the people that you have, you've kept the same people around you and I think that's really hard when you, when you, when you grow and you come into a lot of the things that you've come into, I think maturity wise and a like business acumen that you've grown so much and it's like really fun to, to watch and it's, it's like really cool to be along for the ride for that. And then obviously I Think in our relationship, I think that you've kind of, like, has your definition of love changed? Like, I've, like, felt that, you know, like, from two years ago, a year and a half ago, I've felt the softer, more sensitive side of you has been able to, like, show up and not be as afraid of all the things I think you were previously afraid of as far as getting hurt and, like, you know, talking about your feelings and opening up and, you know, being able to admit that. That you love me. And I think that has felt really. I think that's felt really good to, like, see that change, because you never know what happens. What excites you the most about our future?
Alex Earl
I think the animal shelter. I think fostering our dog next week. I think I'm really excited to the potential of us building, like, a. A home together.
Braxton
And not like, like, custom building a home or making a home out of a house.
Alex Earl
Making a home out of a house.
Braxton
Okay.
Alex Earl
Yeah. So not like, the actual place, but kind of, because, like, I'm excited for sure, like, have a place one day that, like, we could call ours. And, like, I just feel like it would be so fun having a really homey home with you. So I feel like that would be fun. And I feel like that's something, I guess I've always, like, longed for. When your parents are divorced, I feel like. I don't know if you feel this way, but I feel like the last time I felt like a home like, that, like, really, really homey home, home, home was, like, when I'm, like, a little kid and, like, I do. You know what I mean? Like, once they, like, kind of break apart, like, there's just some piece of you that, like, it hasn't felt, like, whole or complete. So I'm excited to, like, have that for myself one day. And kids. Yeah. And obviously, like, have kids and everything. And. No, I can't think about all that right now, but I think, like, it's starting to build the foundation of, like, a cozy place.
Braxton
No, I agree. I think, like I said, you know, I was. I was young. Like, I don't really remember my parents when they were together. You know, I was, like, five. Like, I have, like, little. Little memories, but, like, I don't know. I don't remember the feeling of, like, waking up on Saturday morning and going downstairs and, like, my mom and dad are, like, in the kitchen, or they're having coffee together or they're doing things or, like, you know, we go out for family outings or family vacations. Like, I agree. Like, I don't really remember that. So I think, like, for me, that's, like, going to be very exciting because I get to. You know, I get to do that. And granted, both my parents are. You know, I was raised by both of them. It was a great situation, as great as it could have been. But I just think, like, there's something special about, you know, being. Being. And growing up in a house where you see the. Your father, love your mother. And I think just being able to create that and show my kids the way that I want them to see that happen is, like, really, really exciting for me.
Alex Earl
I agree. And I'm done with my painting.
Braxton
Are you okay?
I am.
Alex Earl
I'm very excited. I'm excited for this reveal. How did you do? I feel like I did pretty good. Let me fix, like, one little thing, but then I'm, like, done. Are you done?
Braxton
Like, yeah. Like, I could always keep editing, but I don't think it's gonna get any better than this. This. This. I think. Look, I'm not saying it's good by any stretch of the imagination, but this went very well.
Alex Earl
Okay.
Braxton
For me, I think.
Alex Earl
Okay. Should I show you yours first?
Braxton
Yeah, yeah, let's do that. Because that'll be. That'll be better.
Alex Earl
Let me show the camera. This is my Bruxton. I think this is pretty good. Okay, ready? One, two, three.
Braxton
Oh, wait. That's really good, Alex.
Alex Earl
Really?
Braxton
I'm very impressed.
Alex Earl
Wait, hold on.
Braxton
Lips. My eyes. That's, like, really good.
Alex Earl
Thank you.
Braxton
It's almost like you, like, colored it, like, with crayons. Like, it just looks way more. It looks way more detailed than mine is, is what I'm trying to say.
Alex Earl
I think it's not too bad, Alex.
Braxton
That's very good, the hat.
Alex Earl
Thank you, Picasso.
Braxton
The nose is like. Have you ever drawn faces before?
Alex Earl
Like, I love drawing faces.
Braxton
I was set up.
Alex Earl
Yeah, but I draw. I don't paint. That's different.
Braxton
This is really good.
Alex Earl
Thank you. Thank you. Okay, let me see.
Braxton
Okay, guys, don't. Yeah. So here we go.
Alex Earl
My stomach's turning.
Braxton
I mean, it should. I don't think it's horrible.
Alex Earl
Just turn it.
Braxton
Okay. And here's you. What do we. What do we think?
Alex Earl
Look.
Braxton
I think your lips are pretty good. I think your lips are pretty good.
Alex Earl
I think your hair.
Braxton
Look at the swoop of the hair. I got those. It's really.
Alex Earl
Do you think my hair is that short and fried off?
Braxton
No, no, I just didn't. I didn't have time to get to the rest of it. I had to get everything else.
Alex Earl
Thank you.
Braxton
You don't have to lie.
Alex Earl
Where's my glasses?
Braxton
I didn't have time for that. Alex, say one positive thing.
Alex Earl
I literally can't. I literally can't say one positive thing. I think. I think you did a really great job, like, detailing the pupils on the eyes and like, the eyes are so pretty and crystal blue. Thank you.
Braxton
How did you like.
Alex Earl
And you made my nose kind of look tiny.
Braxton
Like, how did you do that though? Like, did you just, like, dot or like a gentle stroke?
Alex Earl
Just a dot, I think. Wait, hold it up, let me see. Okay. I think this is pretty good.
Braxton
The fact that you drew the hat, like, kind of makes this.
Alex Earl
Thank you so much, Braxton. I love this.
Braxton
You don't have to lie. I love you too, though.
Alex Earl
I wish you drew the glasses, though. I really do.
Braxton
Alex, you know that wouldn't have gone over well. You see how I did the nose and everything else.
Alex Earl
