And we are having celebrity astrologer Elisa Kelly on the podcast today. I'm very excited for this.
Ashton
I'm so excited.
Alex Earl
I don't know if any of you guys saw last year when I did an interview with Cosmopolitan, she interviewed me, but she kind of read my birth chart and I didn't even really know what that meant, honestly, in the beginning. And she read my birth chart and I swear to God, it was like a psychic reading. She has predicted so many things for me over the past year.
Ashton
I am so excited. I've been saying I want to get my birth chart read for so long. And I'm so happy we're doing this.
Alex Earl
I was kind of skeptical at first because I was like, what does this even mean? And basically, I mean, you guys will see. She's gonna like walk through everything, but it's like it's written in the stars. So I'm like, I guess this is just, it has to be true. It has to make sense. And so last year, for example, she predicted. She was like, you're gonna have a really, really big year of contracts. And she even told me specific dates. She was like, in February, you're gonna, like, know what I'm talking about. And then in June, you're gonna, like, pen to paper, like, sign this really big contract, and it's gonna, like, change your life. And I was like, what? And whenever we did this, I was like, I have no idea what she's talking about. And then that accurately happened. And then the craziest thing, which is this. Honestly, like, I don't know, rung a bell for me. And I was like, we need to have her back on Hot Mess and do this again or. Well, she's never been on Hot Mess, but I need to have her on Hot Mess is. She was like, in the fall, something's gonna happen with your boyfriend's career, and, like, he's really gonna need you there for him. And obviously, Braxton got injured in the fall, and that was just, like, a really, really big moment for us. When she said that to me, I was like, literally, what could happen? Like, I don't know what she's talking about. And I put two and two together when Braxton got hurt, and I was like, oh, my God, she's a psychic. I need to have my bag on.
Ashton
So crazy. I'm, like, honestly kind of nervous, because I do want to know, but, like, the thing, like, she kind of predicted Braxton getting injured, so isn't that, like, kind of scary?
Alex Earl
Well, yeah.
Ashton
I don't want to know the store.
Alex Earl
So I feel safer. I just want to know.
Ashton
I don't want to know bad things, though. I'm like, I just want the good things.
Alex Earl
I used to go to psychic readings in high school a lot, and I would use them as, like, therapy instead of going to a therapist. I was literally like, yeah, you go.
Ashton
Like, twice a week.
Alex Earl
She was like, you should probably, like, break up with him. I was like, oh, okay. But I would always go to this psychic, but this is, like. This is written in the stars. And she's going to explain for anyone who's not really into astrology, because I am into astrology, but I'm not, like, a crazy Astrology.
Ashton
Yeah, I'm, like, into it, but I.
Alex Earl
Don'T really know, you know less than I do.
Ashton
I don't really know anything.
Alex Earl
So I'm excited for her to explain all of this to us. And it's the new year, so I'm like. I feel like going to, like, start off on a good foot. She's going to tell us what's going on. I'm ready for the new year. I feel like this is going to be a good year.
Ashton
I think this is going to be a great year. I'm very excited. I have very high hopes for 2025.
Alex Earl
Do you have any New Year's resolutions?
Ashton
I want to start, like, honestly. No. Like being healthier. I don't know, really.
Alex Earl
I mean, last year I did the 30 hard, which was all of January. I did like this. It's like twice a day working out. There was no alcohol yet, a gallon of water a day. And like, it's usually the 75 hard, but I cut it into 30 days because I was like, I just don't think I could do 75 days straight of this. And honestly, I'm not gonna do that again this year because it just, it was almost like overkill. Like, I have half a glass of water a day. Like I don't drink water and then I'm like drinking a gallon and it's like, I don't work out every day now I'm working out twice a day. Like my body was so tired and fatigued and like.
Ashton
But isn't that like, there's like a hump you get over where once you.
Alex Earl
Keep doing it, it is. And I think that's why you're supposed to do 75 days and not 30. Because I was still definitely not at the point where I like crossed the hump. But I just, I don't want to do that again. It was a little unrealistic for me. So I'm gonna do a more realistic like, I think we're gonna do like a 30 day glow up this year where I'm gonna post like my workouts because I never really post my workouts online and then like healthy recipes because I've been really into cooking and I think like having people follow along in that type of way and I think it's just a little bit more realistic.
Ashton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
Cause I think sometimes we set goals for ourself in the new year and then I'm like, these are just unrealistic and these are never gonna happen. So I think this is the year of setting realistic goals for me.
Ashton
I tried to do dry January last year and then I remember it was like bid day or something and you.
Alex Earl
Can'T do that in college.
Ashton
I was like, no, but bid day, I like don't remember anything because I had like three drinks and I hadn't drank in so long.
Alex Earl
That was the problem is I did dry January and Which is fine. It's not like, I don't need to. I don't need to drink.
Ashton
I don't need to drink.
Alex Earl
Don't need to have a drink. But it honestly was like, my body just. When I went out in February with my friends, we literally just had dinner and I had, like, a spicy margarita and I almost hit the floor. Like, my body was just not used to that at all. So I don't know, it was just like, a little bit of overkill. I'm like, if I want a glass of wine with dinner, I can have a glass of wine with dinner this January. I don't need to, like, be going out and taking shots every night. But, like, you know, a little casual drink here and there, I think is fine. Yeah, totally. I think it's good.
Ashton
Yeah. I don't really have any, like, specific New Year's resolutions. I just kind of want to be better at, like, taking care of myself.
Alex Earl
And being healthier overall. But I'm excited to hear, like, what is actually going to happen for us this year. So let's bring Aliza on. I'm very excited for this. This show is sponsored by Better Help. The New Year's is coming up. We have 2025, which is crazy that it's already 20, but we have a whole year ahead of us, a blank slate. I love the new year because I feel like you get to kind of start over, start fresh, set some good goals for yourself. And I think a lot of the times we'll set New Year's resolutions that kind of end up fading by like, halfway through January or by the time you get to February, you completely forget about them. But a really, really great way to set resolutions for yourself and help yourself become a better person, work on yourself, is through therapy. And that's something that I did this past year that I really, really loved. Elisa Kelly
Thank you. Thank you.
Alex Earl
I cannot believe it's been a year.
Elisa Kelly
It's been a year since we last met. It's been a year last January. Yes. It's been a whole year. A. A wild year. It has been a long year, a short year. All of the types of years.
Alex Earl
Yes. Also, everything that you said to me last year, like, came true. Like, to a T. So, like, how did you even get into this astrology?
Elisa Kelly
So, I mean, the long and the short of it was that I feel like I had always been very curious about just sort of like mystical, magical things. And then in my early 20s, so kind of at the same point that you guys are at right now, I started to find myself, like, very unfulfilled and feeling very sort of fragmented. I couldn't quite figure out who I was, what I wanted to be doing, what I actually wanted to care about. Which is really interesting because timing wise, in your early 20s, you go through this really big sort of existential crisis, which I'm sure you guys feel you're just coming out of it. Alex. But it was. You're kind of in it now, Ashton. And at that moment, where you are right now, I found my astrological birth chart. And it just really, really spoke to me, and it really clarified a lot of things that I was having confusion around, namely, like, how I could be both so, like, vibrant and also so sensitive, you know, and that just, you know, opened the door. And I started looking into it for myself. I started looking into it for other people. My best friend from college and I actually started an astrology dating app. Because at that time, it was like 2013. Everyone had a good idea, was like, let's make it an app. Right? And at the time, only Tinder existed. Bumble didn't exist yet. Hinge didn't exist. So we were like, an astrology dating app would be amazing.
Alex Earl
That's a great idea.
Elisa Kelly
Thank you. Yeah. Ten years later, and it's like, we.
Alex Earl
Want to get into and ask you about, like, compatibility with men and, like, what are your thoughts on all of that?
Elisa Kelly
But yes. Compatibility is very interesting to me, has always been, you know, because, like, what does it mean to actually, who do you work with? Right? Like, what are the good matches for us? But anyway, long story short, 2016, that was all in LA. I moved back home to New York, where I'm from. You know, we had to close the app, and I was having another existential crisis, and I was like, what am I supposed to do now? And astrology was a constant. And I just, like, no matter what was going on, I loved this work and I loved this practice. And from 2016 on, it just became more and more of the centerpiece of my life to the point where it was like, actually, this is my life. This is not just like a curiosity anymore. This is like, everything is revolving around this.
Alex Earl
So understanding astrology, something like, anyone can do, right?
Elisa Kelly
Yes, I think so. I mean, I think that part of, you know, back in 2013, when I started to really work with this material, it felt so archaic, it felt so outdated. It was like a lot of, like, Santa Fe turquoise Woo vibes, which is very cute, but it's not my aesthetic, you know, And I wanted to figure out, how do we make this something that is applicable, that is really easy to understand, and that's always been sort of like the driving force behind my work is that I want everyone to be able to work with it, because I really think that it's an incredible tool, and it's an incredible tool for compassion and self actualization and also just like, figuring out who you are and being confident in who you are. Like, I think if I were to now synthesize and get to the root of what I do, it's really about, like, empowering people to just be themselves and be proud of who they are.
Alex Earl
So what we're doing today is you're gonna be reading our birth chart, which was what we did last year. So can you explain to everyone what exactly that is and what it means and how that all comes to be?
Elisa Kelly
Yes, yes. So your birth chart is a snapshot of the sky at your exact moment of birth. And based on our symbolic interpretation of all of these planets and points, each one of them gives you a little insight into an aspect and a facet of your personality. And this is what I think is really compelling about it, is that, like, we can externalize one way and then have a completely different internal dialogue. And I feel like, as women, like, we know that inherently, and then astrology sort of gives us a window into what that actually means and how we work with that Interesting.
Alex Earl
I feel like Ashton knows a little less about astrology than I do, but I've been like, do you know your big three?
Ashton
I. Well, actually, I only know it because my Snapchat told me. I don't know if you've seen the Snapchat. It gives you, like, your whole birth reading. That's the only reason I have it. But I think it's. I'm an Aries sun, a Gemini moon, and a Taurus rising.
Elisa Kelly
Yes.
Ashton
But I don't really know much about any of them. But I've been dying to know, like, you saying how this, like, explains, like, so much of your personality. I'm like, I need this.
Alex Earl
Last year when we did this, I was like, oh, this makes so much sense. So I'm a Sagittarius.
Elisa Kelly
Sun.
Alex Earl
Sagittarius sun, Virgo moon, Scorpio rising.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. Okay. Yes.
Alex Earl
Should we go over, like, high level? Like, what are big three?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. Yeah, let's do it.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Okay. So your big three is probably, like, the easiest touch point into astrology for a lot of people, and it's your sun, moon, and your rising. Let's start with the rising sign, because I feel like this one has the most misconception around it. Your rising sign before 1930 was actually, like, more important than your sun sign, which I think is really interesting. But your rising sign requires your exact specific time of birth in order to calculate. And because a lot of people in 1930 didn't have the exact time of birth, and even still now don't have the exact time of birth, the sun sign became more sort of like, pop, Culturally acceptable because that's based on your day of birth, and most people know the day that they were born. But your rising sign is really interesting because it shows your perception of reality. It shows the recurring themes that come up in your life over and over and over again. So your rising sign, your rising sign is sort of like your window into what life through your eyes looks like. And this is often sort of misconstrued as the mask you wear in public. But the reason that I don't think that that's a really good way of describing it is because that makes it seem like it's a choice. You know, it makes it seem like, oh, I'm like, masking as this. But it's not. It's perception of reality. And therefore, of course, it's going to inform how people perceive you. Right. Because if you're seeing the world, like in the case of a Scorpio rising as a place where, like, you don't know fully who to trust, then maybe people are going to see you as a little off putting when they first meet you. But it's not that you actually are. It's just that you're trying to figure out, like, can I trust you? Can I believe you? Are you my people?
Alex Earl
Which is so crazy because everyone always thinks that I'm a. When they first meet me or not, unless you talk to me. But sometimes I'm just kind of like trying to read the room. But I'm such a person. I'm like, I'm. I need to figure out your personality before I unleash all of mine. And I need to know if I can trust you. I need to know who you are and what are your plans.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. Which is really very different than the Sag sun Persona. And we'll talk about that in a second. And then for you, Ashton, you're a Taurus Rising, which I think is really cool. A little glimpse into the compatibility piece of it is that you guys have Opposite Rising signs. So you're a Taurus Rising, you're a Scorpio Rising. And in astrology, opposites are really cute. They're really a really good thing because they're really cute. Really cute because you complement each other. It's like you are each other's missing links. So a Taurus Rising is very much about sort of like what's real, what's grounded, what's anchored, what can I trust, what can I believe in? And fundamentally, it really does have a true instinct for self preservation and self care and knows that above all that has to be first. And if you feel destabilized in that bad things happen, like, it's really, really critical.
Alex Earl
Okay, I'm very curious to hear all about Ashton. Yeah, I need to understand her. She's like someone to me who's like, hard to figure out.
Ashton
Well, I find myself hard to figure out.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. I'm really excited to tell you about your chart. I was looking at it and I was like, oh, does Ashton know she's psychic? Really?
Alex Earl
Do you?
Elisa Kelly
No.
Alex Earl
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
Yes you do. Yes, you do.
Ashton
I have really good intuition.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, we'll talk about it.
Alex Earl
Wait, I'm Jenna. Wait, what do you think about crystals? Side note?
Elisa Kelly
Well, you know, I feel like for some people crystals are really powerful, but they aren't for everyone. Like for me, crystals, I am more of a cerebral person than I am a tactile person. So crystals are like beautiful and I love them. And people like have such gorgeous crystal collections, but it's not like I don't work with it as much as other.
Alex Earl
Things, because our friend Sally has this crystal that, like, it is magical, I think.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. I mean, there are certainly things that are magical, but sometimes it's not even the crystal. Like, sometimes you could have, like, a magical. Yeah, exactly. It's like you can make anything magical when you impose, like, something into it.
Alex Earl
Yeah. So what do you say when people say that, like, astrology isn't real?
Elisa Kelly
Well, I mean, I don't know what is real and what isn't real when people say that astrology isn't real. Like, one, it's very boring as a statement to me, like, I could care less about it. And then two, I have been doing this work long enough that I know that it's real because the conversations that I have are real. And the way that people have, aha. Moments about themselves and their life and their timing is real. So whether or not it's the planets or it's the storytelling or it's the interpretation, like, is irrelevant to me. The work matters. The work is real and the work is life changing, and therefore it is real. So the ethic, like, the proof is in the pudding of it, you know, like, it works, it hits. It makes a difference in the world. So that's what I care about, which.
Alex Earl
Is why I'm really excited for people to listen to this episode. So, like, off the bat, our signs, like, if we were to judge, like, our compatibility, would you just go, like, oh, I'm a Sagittarius and she's an Aries, or, like, is it really matter? Like, the big three and, like, more of the breakdown?
Elisa Kelly
Well, yeah. I mean, so when it comes to the sun signs, you guys are both fire signs. So just, like, straight up, the compatibility would be amazing, right? Like, two fire signs, two very passionate, excited, fiery people.
Alex Earl
However, I just feel like Ashton's not really in Aries.
Elisa Kelly
I know. So, Ashton, like, I want to figure out when to talk about your son being in the 12th house, because I feel like this is a very important reveal for you, and I think that you might become an astrologer after this.
Ashton
Wait, what? See, I've always been saying this. I was like, I know nothing about astrology, but I really, really, really, like, feel like it's so important and I need to know more about it.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, you need it.
Ashton
Even when you were talking about how you got into astrology, I was like, I feel like this could help me figure out.
Alex Earl
I feel like for Ash, it was always confusing because Aries, I feel like we always see is like a fire sign and, like, strong and really out there. And Ashley was always like, I'm just not an Aries. So she was like, this is just like. Doesn't make sense.
Elisa Kelly
I know. So, okay, so let's just get. And then we'll circle back to the rest of the moon signs and everything else. Because, Ashton, it's like, I feel like I'm giving you the information and there's something very important I need to tell you. It's like I'm here on a mission to report something to you. Wait.
Alex Earl
I'm so excited.
Elisa Kelly
Okay, so, Ashton, you were born with the sun in your 12th house. And if you look at your chart, you're gonna find a little shape that's a circle with. It's red. It's a circle with a dot in it. And if it was a clock, it would be at, like, the 9 above the 9 o'clock position. So that's your sun sign. And your sun sign shows your sort of dynamism. It shows where your strengths are. It shows what energy means to you, how you sort of move through spaces. And the 12th house in astrology is considered the most psychic, the most sensitive, the most intuitive, the most quiet, the most reserved, the most needing of privacy, the most sort of, like, sensitive. So, yes, you are an Aries, but the way that that manifests for you is in this really psychic and emotionally charged area of your chart. So, like, you take in everything. You know, you read the room. I know that you read the room too, Alex, because you're a Scorpio rising. You're intense and you can sort of pick up on vibes. But Ashton is, like, sometimes on in another timeline, like, Ashton is, like time travel. Like, she walks in a room and she's like, oh, the energy here has, like, been lingering for decades. You know, like, Ashton, like, really gets vibes on very, very deep levels.
Alex Earl
She gets the vibes too.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, but it's also, you know, it can feel a little lonely and it can feel a little isolating to be that much in many different places at the same time. You know, to have certain ambitions and certain desires and want information. Like your moon in Gemini desperately is seeking information and wants to be sort of informed. But when you get that information, it's like, wow, this is a really heavy load. Like, what do I do with all of this? Where does this go? And even though you're an Aries, you're certainly not like the one who's, like, belting. You're not like, the one who's trying to make everything about you because you are incredibly sensitive. So you're more sort of likely to let someone else, like, take the stage and you'll be in sort of the wings and you're also feeling everything. Like, you feel everything.
Ashton
I'm like, yeah, that sounds about right.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. I mean, it's interesting that what I shared related for you because I also am a Leo, so I'm a fire sign as well. So it's all fire here, which I love. But I have my sun also in an area of the chart that's really sort. It's the eighth house, and it's very sort of like, emotional and spiritual and all of those things too. So similarly, I didn't fully relate to my leoness until I understood. Oh. The application of this is supposed to be one where I'm talking about spooky things. I'm talking about, like, intuition. So I think, Ashton, like, in your life, it's very likely that the work that's going to really speak to you is work around healing and wellness and what it means to tap into your psychic powers and your intuition and, like, hold that fully and completely.
Alex Earl
See, this is crazy.
Ashton
Yeah. Okay.
Elisa Kelly
Wow.
Alex Earl
Like, this is just to a T. Ashton.
Ashton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
And everything she's ever talked about.
Ashton
Yeah. And I also. I feel like I always struggle to really, like, explain myself or define myself to people. So I'm like, already. I'm like, okay, this is like, we're.
Alex Earl
Just gonna have them listen to this.
Ashton
I'm like, yeah, yeah. If I need to explain myself in.
Alex Earl
This episode, you'll understand, Ashton.
Elisa Kelly
Right? Just forward it along. That's like the big reveal and I'm glad to share it with you because I feel like it's those kind of connection points that really help us figure out who we are and have the confidence to be who we are without trying to be someone else, you know, like, you're not going to ever be the person who's, like, out there with no sort of awareness as to how your actions impact others. You're always going to be thinking about that, and that can feel very daunting because that's, like, a lot of responsibility. And you feel that responsibility, but low key. You would be amazing at business. Like, yes. You would be an incredible, incredible business person. Like, behind the scenes, figuring out how to, like, make things happen and connect the dots and, like.
Ashton
Interesting.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. That's also a superpower of yours.
Ashton
Wow. That's something I never thought would be a superpower of mine.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Alex Earl
We're bringing you on the team.
Ashton
Yeah. I'll work behind the scenes for you.
Elisa Kelly
Well, because you get things.
Alex Earl
Yeah. This is what we always say. She just gets it.
Ashton
I do.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, you do. You just get it.
Alex Earl
So do I get it?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, you get it. You get it in a different way. Everybody gets it differently.
Alex Earl
What do I get?
Elisa Kelly
So, Alex, some of the things that you get are. You get what people. You get, like, the connection to people. You get knowing how to share your story and make that story very accessible to others. So in a way, it's like you almost have. Well, you're opposite rising signs. Right. So it's almost like you have this. It leads you to the same goal, which is why it's really, I think, gonna be lovely that you guys are doing this podcast together. But it also. You have different ways of getting there and arriving at that place. Like, you are not afraid to just, like, speak and let that communication, like, sort of see who it connects with, you know, like, you'll speak first and then be like, okay, who does this relate to? Like, I know there has to be someone out there who gets it, but then you are sort of already thinking, well, who's going to get it? You know, like, who could this possibly relate to this unrelated. Exactly. And then ultimately, like, you're gonna find the people who are going to be most inspired by your stories and who you are and what your offerings are, but you have sort of different paths of arriving there.
Alex Earl
Okay, that's good to know.
Elisa Kelly
Yes.
Ashton
Very interesting.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Because I. I feel like I'm definitely a little bit more outspoken or don't care, or I'm like, I'll just say this.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Alex Earl
And Ashton's a little bit more reserved, and I'm like, ashton, like, we're podcasting. You have to tell them what's going on.
Ashton
She's like, tell them everything in your life.
Elisa Kelly
I'm like, wait, yeah, yeah, yeah. You want to have that counterbalance, you know?
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
It's important to sort of arrive at that destination from multiple angles.
Alex Earl
No, it's good. And I feel like I'm at a place now, too, where. Which I'm curious to hear about. Like, the last year you were saying I was coming out of some, like, turmoil or change or whatnot, because I feel like I was, like, over doing it a little bit, and then I kind of had to reel it in.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, so last year. So when we talk about a year at a time, usually we're talking about Jupiter, which is the planet of abundance, and it's like luck and fortune, and it shows where our luck and fortune is going to be. And it also shows where we're going to overindulge or do too much. Right. Because Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. And it's like more is more with Jupiter. So with you the last year and what we were talking about, I think a year ago was the fact that there were all of these like big contracts and big decisions and big important sort of like especially financial changes. I'm not sure if we talked about that like specifically, but it was. The subtext was that it was big financial considerations. And next year or in 2025, we are going to be really, we're going to continue that story. But come August, September, there's going to be a really big change around how you manifest that energy. And that change is really going to look more like travel, expansion, Becoming an expert at something very specifically and like really fine tuning what your skill set is. You're gonna get really, really good at one or a few very similar adjacent things and become sort of like a professional at those.
Alex Earl
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
Does that make sense?
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. So it's sort of like taking it's build. I mean, everything in astrology is building, just like life. Right. So we build on those contracts, we build on those financial considerations, we build on everything. And then come 2025, it's really going to be about, okay, how do I become the best at this thing better than everyone else, you know?
Alex Earl
Okay, interesting. I mean, there is stuff I like, can't say. So but I'm like, yes, this is making sense.
Elisa Kelly
Amazing. Yeah. So that's sort of how we scale from last year. I think that maybe even in the overwhelm it was in sort of taking on too much. It's trying to spread yourself too thin with regard to, you know, what you can do, you know, and what you know how to do and what you're comfortable with. And obviously like, you're a yes person. That's part of being a fire sign and it's part of being a SAG where you're like, I can do it whatever. Like, I'll figure it out.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
But it can also be, you can burn out from trying to learn so many new skills so fast.
Alex Earl
Yeah, you know, I think that's definitely part of my personality. I like to say yes to things. And then I'm like, I'll go back and figure out like, okay, what are the logistics? Or like, how am I actually doing all of this? I'm like, but like, yes, like the opportunities here, like, let's take it all the work, or a lot of the work I did behind the scenes last year, which I couldn't really, like, talk about, was all kind of planning for, like, what this next year for me would look like and, like, what decisions I would make. And, like, what are we putting into action? Literally, I feel like the whole entire year was just me going back and forth with, like, okay, this or this or this or this. And so I'm. I mean, I can't say much, but, yeah, I'm excited for this next year with all of that. So how does the birth chart change from, like. Because obviously there's the birth chart of, like, your birth chart when you're born, but then it also changes, like, year to year, like, just where the planets are.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. So there's a few different things to consider. So you have a birth chart that gets sort of activated and that goes through a metamorphosis based on where the planets are in the sky. So your chart is going to go through these big changes based on, like, we're talking about Jupiter activating it. Right. Like, what's activating your chart? What's it setting off? What's it signaling? And then you also have a chart that, you know, that's more esoteric astrology that we don't need to get into. But it's like, there's a theory that your chart also grows with you and it progresses. But really, that doesn't start to matter until you get older, because it doesn't change that much until you're in your late 20s.
Alex Earl
I mean, how should we. Like, what's the best way to go about this? Should we go, like, one at a time and walk through everything?
Elisa Kelly
Sure, let's do it. So some of the things that really stand out in your chart, Alex, are obviously, we talked about your Scorpio rising, and that being something that your perception of reality is very much informed by. Who can you trust? Who can you rely on? Who can you believe? And then the way that that actualizes is through your Sagittarius sign. And your Sagittarius sign is like, what we were talking about. It's very like, yes, let's do it. Let's put it out, and then we'll figure it out later. You know, we'll get it. Everything will work out. And there's, like, this just, like, brazenly optimistic spirit that you have of, like, of course things are gonna be fine. Why wouldn't they be fine? Which is really lovely. And it's also very important for other people to match that Energy and match that vibe. And if they don't, then that almost becomes a threat to you. Like, if people start to put up obstacles or they start to doubt your ability or if they sort of, like, get too technical about what is or isn't possible. Which, Ashton, like, you have that a little bit. Like, because remember, you're a business person at your core. You're a psychic business person.
Ashton
That's crazy.
Alex Earl
It's a psychic businesswoman.
Elisa Kelly
So, like, you can sort of be like, I'm not sure about that. And then you're like, how dare you? Yeah, like, how dare you? Why even, like, remotely think that that's not gonna happen? Yeah, of course it's gonna happen.
Alex Earl
This is literally our everyday conversation. She's like, alex, that just won't work.
Ashton
And I'm like, wait, no, she gets so mad. She's like, why would you say that?
Elisa Kelly
Right, so this is also, like, I guess, like a little bit of the compatibility piece of it too. Right? It's important for you both to know that it's important for Alex to have this sort of unapologetic optimism. And it's also important for Ashton. It's how she expresses care to be like, I don't know, are you sure about that? And for you, that might seem like it's like, what the fuck?
Ashton
It's like you're such a Debbie Downer. And I'm like, well, no. Like, sometimes it's just real.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. And it's, like, important for you to sort of. That cautiousness that you have feels like it's coming from a place of protection. For you, Ashton, being disappointed is like death. Like, Alex doesn't really care. Like, Alex doesn't even. When something doesn't work out, she's like, okay, yeah. Like, it doesn't even really fade. And for you that's, like, really heavy. So she is actually trying to protect you from disappointment. But Ashton, you should know that Alex doesn't care.
Alex Earl
Yeah, I don't care. It's okay. I'll be disappointed.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, exactly, exactly. Like, that's so It's a very different sort of approach to thinking about, like, what priorities are and what matters. So, yeah, for you, it's like, let's do it. Okay, why not? Okay, so then your moon, as we talked about last time as well, is in your. Yes, perfect, gorgeous. A student. Your moon is in your 10th house, which is about career and legacy and it's how you make your mark on the world and how people see you and receive you. So the moon in your 10th is why that moon placement, which is your emotional world? It's in Virgo, which is very much about expression and storytelling. Like, people know you for your storytelling. People care about the way that you tell stories and the way that you sort of, like, walk them through your life and your emotions and your anxiety and your fears and, like, all of the other stuff that manifests. And the realer you are about it, the more people are going to get it.
Alex Earl
Okay, yeah, that sounds on brand.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, definitely on brand. And also, like, important to remember that your moon is in a sign that has a perfectionistic quality as well. So there's a little bit of a conflict there sometimes with, like, wanting to be real and then also wanting to be perfect, you know, and just keeping that, like, you know, keeping that in check, I think is important.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Because people also relate to that pursuit of perfection. But it also could be sort of your Achilles heel along the way. You know what I mean?
Alex Earl
Achilles heel meaning, like, your biggest weakness. Yeah. Okay, Alex. And what do we mean by that?
Elisa Kelly
But, like, optimistic. You're like, is that bad? Yeah, I love Achilles. Sounds good. So, yeah, so those are some of the main sort of standout things of your chart, as we talked about last time. Also, you have some really cool signatures about, like, wanting to break the mold and do things differently, and people kind of, like, projecting on you, but that not necessarily being a bad thing. That idea of you being someone who is constantly kind, trying to, like, create controversy is going to also work in your favor.
Alex Earl
Yeah, I mean, we love, like, some good drama, you know?
Elisa Kelly
Yes.
Alex Earl
But not fat drama. But I always say, like, there's times where I'm like. I'm like, things are just too, like, complacent right now. We need some good drama.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. You want to, like, stir the pot just a little bit.
Ashton
Yeah, yeah.
Alex Earl
I always want to stir the pot, but that's something that, like, I have to hold myself back at times because I'm like, this is probably bad.
Elisa Kelly
Why?
Alex Earl
Well, it's just not always great.
Ashton
Sometimes things are, like, really good for Alex, and she's like, I feel like something bad needs to happen to, like.
Alex Earl
Be excited, you know, just gets when things are too good. It's, like, boring, but I don't know. And I also feel like I'm someone who, like, especially on social media, it's so easy to, like, get on there and be, like, fiery or, like, stir the pot, you know? Like, there's a lot of information I know at times where I'm like. I could say this and, like, just Drop a bomb right now. But I try to hold myself back from doing that because I think that's not always the best, but I always find myself wanting to do it. I'm like, this would be so good.
Elisa Kelly
You can do it.
Alex Earl
Really?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Ashton
I mean, I feel like that's probably because you have, like, that optimistic side of you to where you're like, it's, like, bad, but it's still good. Like me, I'd be like, no, it's.
Alex Earl
Bad, but it's good for the plot.
Elisa Kelly
No, it's not for you.
Alex Earl
Ashton doesn't like seeing people, like, talk.
Ashton
About her or just, like, anything.
Alex Earl
Yeah, it stresses her out, but she's getting better at it.
Ashton
We're working on it.
Alex Earl

You dunk, Michelle, you could dunk a. Dunk your way back into the competition. RuPaul's Drag Race is back only on MTV with show stopping celebrity guest judges like Katy Perry, Dochi, Sam Smith, Adam Lambert and more.
Alex Earl
The splashiest season in her story is making major waves.
Elisa Kelly
Raider Queen is back. I hold their face in my dainty little hands. Because wetter is better. RuPaul's Drag Race is back.
Alex Earl
New season, season tomorrow.
Elisa Kelly
Weddings have been sent on mtv. Yeah, I think that Alex, that's a secret weapon of yours for sure. Like, if you feel like things are getting a little too boring, like, stir the pot that you can use that always.
Alex Earl
Okay, I'm gonna get to her.
Elisa Kelly
Don't have my permission.
Alex Earl
I have a few things in my draft, so.
Elisa Kelly
Perfect. Yeah. I mean, whenever you're like, this is like, things are getting a little. There's a lull here.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Throw up one of those drafts and it's not bad.
Elisa Kelly
No, it's not. Everyone can handle it.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
You know, if you have the capacity to be able to sort of navigate it, it's an amazing thing. I also envy it. I also envy the ability to just be like, I'm throwing it out there. Like, and you have that for a reason, you know, like, that is one of your skills. It's One of your strengths. So since not everybody can do it and like, tolerate it, because you can. It's meant for you.
Alex Earl
Okay. See? It's meant for me. Okay, here we go.
Elisa Kelly
Everything works out. Everything always works out in your favor.
Alex Earl
Everything always works out. Everything is going great. Okay, good to know.
Elisa Kelly
The last thing I'll say before we look at Ashton's chart some more is that last year you had your Jupiter return, which was like part of the reason it was such an abundant year. And it is about sort of maintaining and continuing to scale and build on that. Like, that's, that's your work, you know, is like, how do you not lose that momentum, but how do you expand it and become, as we talked about, like an expert?
Alex Earl
Is this able to show, like, what is happening this next year?
Elisa Kelly
This is your birth chart.
Alex Earl
This is birth chart.
Elisa Kelly
I know what's happening next year. I know where the planets are. So I can see where they're activating your chart.
Alex Earl
Okay. Okay, we'll get to that. Let's do Ashton's.
Elisa Kelly
Okay, cool.
Ashton
Please.
Alex Earl
I'm like, I want to hear all about Ashton.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. Okay, so I want to. I'm excited to tell you all about Ashton too. So this is what I've needed my whole life. We talked about the fact that you have this Aries sun in the 12th house. And we're going to talk a little bit more about that in a moment. But I also want to talk to you about your moon in Gemini, because this moon in Gemini is really important for your compatibility with Alex. It's information. You know, both of you are really obsessed with knowledge and learning things and collecting the information, getting the tea, whatever it is. And the way that you share that with each other is really important. And that's going to be sort of like your constant. And also it's going to be your glue. So never keep secrets from each other.
Ashton
Good to know.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Alex Earl
I don't keep secrets. She keeps secrets.
Ashton
I don't keep secrets. I just sometimes, like, I don't over share.
Alex Earl
She, like, purposefully holds information back.
Elisa Kelly
So Ashton doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. And Ashton is afraid of reactions. Ashton doesn't want anyone to be mad at her. She doesn't want people to. Like, she wants to. I mean this in the best way. Like, control the outcome as much as you can.
Ashton
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Because you don't want things to get out of hand. So part of the holding things back is also being like, I don't want this person to be upset. I don't want this Person to be mad at me. I don't want this to cause a fight. Like, I want this to be as, like, nice and peaceful as possible. But then people get mad at you because they're like, what the fuck? Like, you didn't tell me the truth.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Which just makes a lot of sense because me, and I should say now, like, we're best friends, but there was a point, like, two years ago where, like, we didn't talk for, like, a year.
Ashton
Yeah.
Alex Earl
We never talked because she, like, was doing something that was, like, upsetting me or, like, with someone that was upsetting me. And I was very vocal about that. So she just, like, stopped telling me things.
Ashton
Yeah. So Then also because it was like, my boyfriend, like, didn't really. They didn't get along.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Which I want to ask about.
Ashton
Yeah. And so, like, he would say, like, things that, like, weren't nice about, like, her, and it would upset me, but I just wouldn't tell her. And, like, I would just distance myself from her because I was, like, with him all the time, and I was just like, I would always tell him. I'd be like, don't say that stuff about my sister. But I would eventually just, like, I would stop telling her because then she would just hate him more. And then it was.
Elisa Kelly
Right. Exactly.
Ashton
And then it kind of just like.
Alex Earl
And I didn't, like, enter it with caution at all. I was just like, fuck him. Leave him. Like, da, da, da. And like, that, I realized, was not a good communication style to, like, getting through to her. Yeah, no. Probably because she didn't want to hear those reactions. So she stopped telling me things. So we, like, really didn't talk at all.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, that makes sense. Yeah, I mean, it definitely checks out with the way that you guys relate. And it makes sense that the thing that made the relationship really dicey for you was the lack of communication. Because that is your glue. And if you. If something starts to disrupt that, if that gets compromised, that's when you guys get into a situation where you're not talking or you're feeling, like, distant. You know, it's the communication thread that you both need. But yes, Ashton, like, part of the reason that I want you to be a psychic witch business person and, like, honestly, just, like, be a witch, like, fully.
Ashton
Yes, please.
Elisa Kelly
I think that's my dream job. Yes, yes, we'll talk after.
Ashton
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
But part of the reason that I think this is really important for you is because that placement that we're talking about, the sun in your 12th house can be really, really Secretive and really shady. And not because you're trying to be problematic, but because it's like secrets. And your hidden emotional experience, if it doesn't have a good outlet, it's gonna find itself attracted to toxic things. And that's because you are someone who's so sensitive that like, a situationship starts to feel more like, appealing to you because it's something that lives in the shadows and you are a shadowy person. So then you're gonna find yourself in these situationships that you know aren't good for you. Alex really fucking knows are not good for you. You know, they're like, very strongly not good for you. But you're like, well, this matches my emotional intensity and therefore it makes sense to me.
Alex Earl
So Ashton was like, in a situationship where she was not sharing her. She wasn't letting her guard down, basically. And, like, that was like a problem in it because they were like, you're so hard to, like, get to. Because she doesn't want to get, like, hurt.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, I get it. It's a learning process. And the more that you are somewhat. The more that you embrace your intuition and your gut feelings and your psychic powers is not things that you need to deny, but things that you can really, like, bring in to the equation. Like, you know, if someone is keeping is lying to you, you know, but sometimes you don't even want to confront that in yourself.
Ashton
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
And then it gets worse and worse and worse, you know, and that's why it's like, embracing your magic is gonna really help you feel like a badass, you know? Like, you're gonna be like, you can't fuck with me.
Alex Earl
I did not know you were magical.
Ashton
I've always said I'm like, I feel like I'm really good at reading people, or I have really good intuition. But then I was like, oh, maybe that's just like me being egotistical. Like, everyone thinks that about themselves, but I'm like, you're kind of reaffirming my thoughts. That's awesome.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. No, you know. You know, and you're magic too. I mean, I think. I think everyone is magic. You know, it's just magic in different ways. Like, Alex is like an incredible manifestor. Alex, like, opens her eyes and is like, this is what I want, and then gets an email about it. You know, like, it's. Alex is incredible at just sort of like. And that's part of that, like, incredible optimism she has. And for you, Ashton, like, you are also a very magical person, but you are someone who can read between the lines. Like, you work on a different dimension and you probably can see ghosts, you know, like, it's. I know. I just keep, like, wait, tell us everything.
Ashton
We're gonna have to talk, like, every day forever.
Elisa Kelly
Can you see ghosts?
Ashton
I don't think so. I don't know. I don't think so. No.
Elisa Kelly
Yes.
Alex Earl
When I asked her in Halloween, I was like, can you see ghosts? And she was like, that's not real. And I was like, you see them?
Ashton
I don't know. I don't know about that one.
Elisa Kelly
We'll see.
Ashton
Okay.
Alex Earl
Really? That's so cool.
Elisa Kelly
I mean, and maybe it's the verbiage here. Maybe it's more of, like, feeling protected or feeling like there's, like, angels or guides in a space or who are going to be able to, like, connect with you, who could lean into you, can lean into their power and their support. But honestly, like, that's part of it too for you, is knowing that you have these connections to the intangible realms.
Alex Earl
So is this like angel numbers? Is this at all correlated to this?
Elisa Kelly
Angel numbers can be sort of like the entry point into it.
Ashton
I see them all the freaking time.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Ashton
Like, all the time.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. So that's sort of like the. That's sort of a cue that you are sort of on that path.
Ashton
Interesting.
Alex Earl
Wow. So does it mean anything that I.
Elisa Kelly
Was born at 3:33am Another angel number, right. Like it says, it's. Listen, like, magic runs through families, you know, and there's. When you are a magical person, you're not just in, you know, you have magical relatives. And that's why you have, like, these amazing families that do incredible things, right?
Alex Earl
Like literally Wizards of Waiver Place.
Elisa Kelly
Literally, literally casually. And you were born at 7:11, which is a corporate magic angel number.
Alex Earl
7:11.
Elisa Kelly
A few other things in your chart, Ashton, for you this year. So one of the things that I know that everyone is very curious about is when their Saturn return is happening.
Alex Earl
What does that mean?
Elisa Kelly
So your Saturn return is when Saturn, which is the planet that's associated with, like, wisdom and discipline and responsibilities, comes back to where it occupied at the moment you were born. And it's this big maturation moment where you sort of like, become who you are. So neither of you have to worry about it for a long time because you're both such babies. But it's gonna happen for you, Alex, in 2029 and for you, Ashton, in 2031, which is, like, very. Feels like a very long time.
Ashton
It does.
Elisa Kelly
But, Ashton, you are going through Something right now called your Saturn square, which is when you are starting this process of figuring out who you are and what matters and what you care about and where you want to be, dedicating your time and energy. So, Alex, you went through that in 2022. So what was going on in your life in 2022, didn't you?
Alex Earl
2022 was the start of my senior year of college, and, well, I guess end of my junior year. Oh, wait, this is crazy, because the. So I was. The end of my junior year of college, I was supposed to go abroad, and I got this. Like, I had always wanted to go abroad my whole life, and I got this, like, gut feeling where I. It was, like, two weeks before I was supposed to live in Barcelona. I was, like, set to go. This is, like, one of the things I've always wanted to do in college. And, like, two weeks before, I literally was, like, crying myself to sleep every night, and I was like, I can't go abroad. I can't go abroad. And my reasoning. But I didn't want to tell anyone. My reasoning was that I found out that you couldn't get packages. It'll make sense in a second. I found out you couldn't get packages there. And I had just started to, like, I really wanted to, like, do social media, and I was trying to find, like, management companies to, like, work with me and do brand deals. And I was like, I really, really want to do this. Like, I really want to give it a shot. And I had, like, a smaller following at the time, but I was like, I really, like, want to try this thing out. And when I found out that, basically I would have to put that on pause for, like, six months when I feel like I was just starting to get, like, a little bit of, like, ooh, maybe I could, like, try and do this. And I found out that I couldn't do it if I went. So I was like, I don't know. I just. I didn't go. I canceled my trip abroad, and then I interviewed with a bunch of different management companies, and they all, like, declined me. They were like, you're. You're not big enough. You don't have enough followers. And I was like, I will do anything. I was like, please. Like, I just really want to, like, try and work with brands. Like, I really, really want to do this. And it sounds so stupid, but I did end up finding this one girl, Lexi, and she was, like, in Australia, and she signed me that year. So, like, when I didn't go abroad and then I Started to do, like, smaller brand deals, and that's how I started to make connections with, like, it was like White Fox. Like, I got, like, my first contract and, like, Fashion Nova, and I was, like, beyond excited. And it, like, made my entire world to me. And it was through that next year that I really started to, like, take it seriously. And I would just kind of ramp it up and ramp it up. And then end of 2022 is when I, like, went from, like, a hundred thousand followers to, like, 4 or 5 million. So it was crazy.
Elisa Kelly
Wow.
Alex Earl
But I really think that it wouldn't. Wouldn't have all happened if I had went abroad. That's what I think.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. Yeah. Wow. I mean, that's amazing. And that's also, like, what a testament to believing in yourself, to your intuition, to just sort of, like, knowing the direction that you wanted to go and not, like, not trying to block yourself along the way. Because often what I think happens is that people get afraid of the thing that they want. And they get afraid of, like, failure, or they get afraid of disappointment, or they get afraid of, like, what if it doesn't work out? And then I haven't done this. Yeah, but you, like, truly, truly committed and believed in yourself, and you saw immediately the return of that. And, Ashton, no pressure, but that's kind of what, like, that's the. That's the story. That's this moment for you, too. So it's. It is about making important decisions about what you want for your future.
Ashton
But, like, what if I don't know what I want?
Alex Earl
She does know what she wants. I don't. Yeah, you do.
Ashton
Do I? Yeah, I don't think so. I always, like, wish for clarity in my life because I feel like there's so many things, like, just throughout my life that I've, like, tried or started out or, like, never really been, like, good at something or, like, felt, like, passionate, like, really, really strongly about something that, like, I've done with my life. So I kind of just feel like I'm all over the place. So that's, like, always what I've wished for is just, like, clarity in what I'm doing. And I've still kind of, like, feel that way right now. Like, I don't really, really know, like, what I want.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, I mean, I. I hear that and I think that. And I relate to it, obviously, because that was sort of the point that I was at when I found astrology. So, obviously, just become an astrologer and you're. No, but I think that it's it is about sort of taking it slow. I really think that the more that you hold your intuition and the more that you trust sort of like your. Your sensitivities and lean into them as an asset rather than as a weakness, you're gonna have more and more clarity. I think that trying to be, you know, you guys are really different. So you, like, you can't. You're not going to have the same storyline and you're not going to have the same pathway. But I really, I think that there's something around, like, wellness and there's something around sort of like truth telling and a gentleness that could be really meaningful for you. You know, you're not going to have. You're not like Alex in that you can like, just put controversies up and then it's like. And you can roll with that. Like, you have to. Your approach is going to be sort of more tender, it's going to be more delicate and it's going to have a little bit more sort of like you're going to be thinking about the implications of things more, you know.
Ashton
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
And it's a good counterbalance. You guys can support each other really nicely in that.
Alex Earl
So what's the best way for us.
Elisa Kelly
To, like, communicate or just for you guys? I mean, just tell each other as much as you can. Just talk to each other and don't lose that line of communication. Ashton, when you're doing shady things, just tell Alex. Alex, don't judge her, okay? Yeah, don't be mean. Just be sensitive and gentle. You know, like, be sort of supportive and recognize that it's coming from a different place than it would be for you, you know? And yes, like, there's a confidence building that is like part of this process. Like, you deserve to be with people who treat you well. Ashton, obviously, and Alex, you know that. And it's annoying to you when you see Ashton put herself in situation where you're like, you deserve better. Like, why. But you guys are gonna work together on it. You know, it's something where you guys are going to, you know, be in process through that.
Alex Earl
So what about compatibility with, like, men or dating? Is that because I'm a Sagittarius? Like, there's one or two signs that, like, I'm more compatible with or.
Elisa Kelly
No, because you're not just a sag, you also are the. You're a Scorpio Rising, you're a Virgo moon. You have all of the different planets. So I like to talk about compatibility through the lens of how are we compatible with People, not whether we are compatible. You know, like, what are the strengths in relationships?
Ashton
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
And we talked about last time, your boyfriend and the compatibility there. He's a Libra, right?
Alex Earl
Yeah, he's a Libra.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. I mean, Libra is really beautiful for you because the way that. And when is his birthday?
Alex Earl
October 6th.
Elisa Kelly
Cool. Yeah. So Libra activates an area of your chart called your 11th house, which is very inspiring for you. So the relationship and the way. And the way that he shows up in your life is really something that, like, makes you feel sort of like you do really good work with him, you know, like, you are some. He, like, prompts you and inspires you to be even a better version of yourself. Also, like, a more humanitarian version of yourself, also thinking of, like, how you can actually make really, a big difference and do positive things in the world. And that is a really nice compliment to who you are and what your natural motivation is.
Alex Earl
Okay, cool. And what is it, like, my problem with, like, commitment? I have, like, very big commitment issues, I feel.
Elisa Kelly
I mean, that's like the Sagittarius tale, as old as time story. Sag is the archer, and it likes to sort of, like, throw its arrow and just run. You know, it's like, it's on. It's literally represented by a horse, you know, like a centaur. So you gotta go, you know, like, got a blast. Like, you can't stay there and just, like, get bored.
Alex Earl
I love change. Or I think that's my problem is I'm uncomfortable being comfortable. Like, I always need to feel a sense of, like, I'm stressed out or, like, I'm panicked or I don't know what's going on or, like, I can't see a clear end. Like, do you know what I mean? I always need to be a little bit lost in the sauce.
Elisa Kelly
I think that's great. I think you need that. And I think that that's where your ambition comes from. And I think that it's. It's good to have that sense, especially, like, at where you are in your life right now. Like, there's gonna be different seasons in your life. Right. Like, you don't want to impose that. If you want kids, you don't want to impose that on your kids. Yeah, but for you right now at this age, like, that's a good place to be.
Alex Earl
Yeah, but when it comes to a relationship, I feel like it's like, I had always preferred to be in a relationship where I could see the ending. Like, I knew that, like, we wouldn't Last. Because of xyz.
Elisa Kelly
Right, Right.
Alex Earl
And, like, the fact, like, I'm with Braxton and I'm like, he's perfect. He's great. Like, I see no end. Like, sometimes that's something for me where I'm like, oh, my God. Oh, my God. Like, I'm committing to this for life. Oh, my God. And then I freak out and like, what. How do I stop that? Or is that just part of me?
Elisa Kelly
I do think it's part of you. But I also think that how does Braxton respond when you react? Like. Like when you feel that.
Alex Earl
That he's very, like, open to my issues? He's like, okay, like, no stress. Like, he doesn't ever try to, like, push anything or push me in any type of way. Even when we, like, I couldn't commit to, like, saying that we were dating for so long because I was like, the label's gonna stress me out. Because then once we say we're dating, then, like, then we have to know, like, when we're breaking up. Like, I just. Like, I would freak out like that. So he was like, okay, so then let's. Let's not have a label on it. Like, he's very, like, he's really chill with my craziness.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, we love a Libra. That's so Libra.
Alex Earl
But what about Libra being. Because I always got warned with Libra men that they were, like, really flirty and, like, bad. That's what I always heard.
Elisa Kelly
Well, one, not all. Not everyone is the same.
Alex Earl
Right.
Elisa Kelly
We have a whole chart. But two, like, that also is, like, not the worst thing for you.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Like, you also, like, need a little bit of excitement. If somebody was just like, constantly doting on you without ever having their own personality.
Alex Earl
Yeah. Okay.
Elisa Kelly
It's good for your boyfriend to be charming enough where you're like, oh, yeah, he's hot.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Great.
Alex Earl
And then what for Ashton? What's best for Ashton?
Elisa Kelly
So, Ashton, like, the number one thing that we need to focus on is are they available? That's the question. That's gonna be your biggest measure. I don't honestly care what sign they are. I just want them to be available.
Alex Earl
Okay, like, available like physically or like, emotionally?
Elisa Kelly
All of it. Physically, emotionally. I don't want you in long distance relationships. I know it's your favorite, but I don't want it all of Ashton's relationships. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I want you to be like. Then that's the physical, emotional. Like someone who's actually present, someone who's there with you because they do become ghosts. Right. If they're not physically there.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Ashton
That's the thing I've noticed when I'm, like, not with someone and I'm, like, supposed to be. I'm kind of like, they're not out of sight, out of mind.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Ashton
It's like.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. So it's. It's. And it goes both ways. Like, you do need to open up, as we were talking about, but, like, your opening up is going to be. You have to be with someone who is, like, not disgusting. Like, you have to be with someone who's like. Like, who's sensitive and who can hold space for you. Being complex.
Alex Earl
No more disgustos, actually.
Elisa Kelly
You know what I mean? Yes.
Ashton
I get the ick so bad all the time.
Alex Earl
Oh, my God.
Elisa Kelly
If you dunk, Michelle, you could dunk a dunk your way back into the competition. RuPaul's Drag Race is back, only on MTV with the show stopping celebrity guest judges like Katy Perry, Dochi, Sam Smith, Adam Lambert and more.
Alex Earl
The splashiest season in her story is making major waves.
Elisa Kelly
Raid a queen is back. I hold their face in my dainty little hand because wetter is better.
Alex Earl
RuPaul's Drag Race is back. New season tomorrow.
Elisa Kelly
Weddings have been sent on mtv. All set for your flight?
Ashton
Yep.
Elisa Kelly
I've got everything I need. Eye mask, neck pillow, T mobile.
Ashton
Headphones.
Alex Earl
Wait, T Mobile?
Elisa Kelly
You bet. Free inflight wi fi.
Ashton
15% off all Hilton brands.
Elisa Kelly
I never go anywhere without T Mobile. Same goes from a water bottle, chewing gum, nail clippers. I'm gonna leave you to it. Find out how you can experience travel better@t mobile.com Travel qualifying plan required. Wi Fi were available on select US airlines. Deposit and Hilton honors membership required for 15. Discount terms and conditions apply. This is your rubric. Is not, like, what sign are you? It's like, those things, like, are you, like, a reasonable, not disgusting person who's actually physically there?
Ashton
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
And, like, can physically be with you, you know, and emotionally be there with you?
Ashton
Okay, good to know.
Elisa Kelly
I feel like part of the allure of someone who is not fully available is that it keeps this sort of, like, intrigue, you know, for you around what's gonna happen and how is this going to unfold and what's the storyline? But it really damages your confidence, you know? And I don't want you to just, like, feel like your confidence is being shot time and time again. So the person who is actually probably a little bit boring, a little sweet, a little bit sort of like, even a little quiet might actually be the right person for you. You know, you don't need to find this like over the top, charismatic, exhausting energy. You know, you want someone who's going to actually be present. If you want to find someone long term.
Ashton
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
That's your long term person. But you're also like too young to get married.
Alex Earl
Yeah, yeah, yeah, we don't need long term.
Elisa Kelly
No. But still, I don't want you to have your confidence like.
Ashton
Yeah.
Elisa Kelly
Busted up by these losers. Yeah.
Alex Earl
So she dated a Sagittarius and then I also dated a Sagittarius as well. And it was like the worst match ever. Like, we would. Her Sagittarius and me would hated each other. We hated. No, we didn't hate each other. We just butt heads a lot.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, yeah.
Ashton
This is the one we were telling you about.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, you don't need to necessarily date a sad. You know, like sages are really vivacious and intense and you have one, you have your sister who's a wonderful sag. But again, I'm less concerned about what the sign is and more concerned about, like the other qualities. Like if they're available, if they're kind, if they're sensitive, if they don't have like five girlfriends, you know, that's good to know. Yes.
Ashton
Is there anything else you see for me, like, this year?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. So this year for you is going to be a lot about your community and your network and figuring out who your people are. And that's gonna be sort of like the most important focus for you in 2025 is like, what who is on? Like, who do I actually get along with? Who do I actually have a good time with? And then how can I bring those people into this next journey of wherever I'm going? You know, how can I sort of like build a community that is going to support me and keep growing with me? And also finding your community online too, like finding the people who are there for you and the people who really relate to the work that you're doing and what you care about and all of the things that make you who you are.
Ashton
Interesting.
Elisa Kelly
And then Also, I mean, 2025 this year is like a very wild year for all of us in the collective. There's a lot of really big changes.
Alex Earl
Is tick tock getting banned?
Elisa Kelly
I don't know that. I can't tell you. But I can tell you that there's going to be a lot of social media change.
Alex Earl
Oh, Jesus.
Elisa Kelly
So it might, it might.
Alex Earl
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
Because one of the things that's changing in astrology is the planet that moved into a sign in 2011, which is sort of. When I see social media sort of becoming what it is now, is changing signs for the first time in 14 years. So it feels like there is a changing of the guard happening. But I'm telling you that because if you know that, like, you can be on top of it, you know, you could be ready for the change when it comes, ready to pivot, ready to, like, you know, go in a different direction as needed. So, yeah, I don't know, but there is gonna be a lot of change.
Alex Earl
Okay. And what else this year is happening in the planets?
Elisa Kelly
There's going to be a big movement towards new starts, new beginnings, new chapters. And I love that for all of us, because, like, who doesn't want a new chapter? One and two, it's like, if there's things that we haven't been. That we've been waiting to pursue but have been afraid to actually, like, get started with, then this new year 2025 provides us with the opportunity to be like, you know what? I'm going to assign this task to 2025 and, like, make it my business to do it and make it my business to actually, like, get serious about whatever it is. So it's really this, like, invitation to, like, if there's something that you've been waiting for, like, now is the chance to do it.
Alex Earl
Okay. So for me, also, something I struggle with is, I don't know, like, where I want to live or where I want to be. And I feel like I can't commit to one place. Is that just, like, I'm using this.
Elisa Kelly
As an therapy session. It's interesting because next year for you is so much about travel and expansion, and I feel like you're not supposed to know where you want to live right now because you're still not really supposed to be stuck anywhere.
Alex Earl
Okay. Okay, Good to know.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah, there'll be a time and place for that, but it's not now.
Alex Earl
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
And again, like, you know, you have such a good intuition around things. Like, in the same way that you're like, barcelona is not for me right now because I'm not gonna be able to do what I need to do if I go there. Like, there's probably a reason that you're like, I don't know where I want to live, you know? And that reason is probably that you're not really supposed to, like, be too anchored yet. You're supposed to still be nimble because you're figuring out where the best place for you to Land is okay.
Alex Earl
And you said August, September is a time of, like, honing in on something and perfecting something. Okay. And is there any other, like, major points of this year that you see anything happening for me?
Elisa Kelly
Well, let's see. I think that it could be in March when we have Neptune moving into Aries, which is for you, access, Activating this creativity zone of your chart. That would be a very great time to release something.
Alex Earl
Interesting. Yeah, okay. I am. Okay, cool. What about for Ashton? I hate that I, like, can't say anything.
Elisa Kelly
I'm like, you better tell me after.
Alex Earl
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
Not fair. Ashton, for you, I think that this year is really, really, really about, like, doing the emotional work.
Alex Earl
I could speak.
Ashton
Are you?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Ashton
Speak.
Alex Earl
Ashton.
Ashton
What? I don't know.
Elisa Kelly
I feel. I. I feel. I get it. I understand. I think that this year for you is, like, really, like, this quest that you're on of figuring out what you want, like, that's what you should be doing.
Ashton
Okay.
Elisa Kelly
And it's the right. That's a good question to have, you know, what do I want? And also something to keep in mind is that you can change your mind whenever you want, too. You're not stuck. You know, we're never trapped into a narrative. Like, we have choice, we have free will, we have flexibility. But for you to start to discern what you like and what you don't like, that's great work.
Alex Earl
Well, Ashton's graduating this year, so that's a really big year for her. And change and figuring out what you want to do.
Elisa Kelly
What are you thinking that you want to do?
Ashton
I want to move to New York once I graduate, but I don't really.
Elisa Kelly
Move to New York to an old apartment.
Ashton
That's what I.
Elisa Kelly
With, like, crown molding. That's haunted.
Alex Earl
Literally what I was telling him, I.
Ashton
Was saying to someone. I don't know if it was Sally or someone, but I was like, I really want, like, an old apartment with, like, the old molding and just, like, all the vibes in it.
Elisa Kelly
That's exactly what you should have.
Alex Earl
Okay, cool. And can you please find a ghost for me? I want to see a ghost hunt. Yeah.
Ashton
Should I, like, get into, like, ghost hunting, literally?
Elisa Kelly
Yes, actually. But more than ghost hunting, it's like mediumship. It's like channeling.
Ashton
Really?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. Tyler Henry, that's like, crazy.
Ashton
Like, you think I have that in me?
Elisa Kelly
Yeah.
Alex Earl
How do you channel that?
Ashton
Yeah. How do you go?
Elisa Kelly
It's different for everyone, but it's really about. First step is learning how to trust your intuition and trust yourself. And not be afraid of that. Right? Like, not be afraid to bring that into a conversation. Or be like, you can be the witchiest girl in the room. Like, that's okay. You should be, you know, if you are, then be the witchiest girl in the room. You don't have to be basic. You know what I mean? Like, you can really be the weirdo. It's great. I embrace it. I love it. I think it's fantastic.
Ashton
I love that.
Alex Earl
Oh, I feel like you needed to hear that. Yeah. This is amazing.
Elisa Kelly
Permission.
Ashton
Okay.
Alex Earl
Ashton wants to get into modeling too, but she won't say it. But I'll say it for her.
Elisa Kelly
Yes, I mean, I would say that. Like, obviously, just be gentle with yourself because it's because you're really sensitive, you know, so just make sure that you're doing this work as you're presenting yourself and going out there into the world. Because obviously it's like, that's a notoriously, like, ruthless industry.
Ashton
And I think that's also why I, like, don't even tell people that I want to go into it because I'm already like, nervous of, like, what people will say or think or think about me when I, like, talk about that.
Alex Earl
Yeah.
Ashton
Cuz like, I don't even know.
Alex Earl
Ashton's confidence is something that she has to work on for sure. It makes me sad. And that's why I feel like I get overbearing with hers because I feel like she sometimes, like, lacks self confidence and she's so perfect and she just doesn't like, admit it or see it.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. I mean, a sun in the 12th house has. Can be that, you know, it can really. But an example, there's like very lots of examples of people who have sun in the twelfth house. Like Mariah Carey has an Aries sun in the 12th house. And she obviously, you know, has not let that hold her back from being Mariah Carey. So I feel like, you know, there's ways that you can figure out how to do it and how to integrate all of it. But yeah, I think that, like, honestly, Ashton, after this conversation, knowing that you are like, officially certified psychic magic witch, I really feel in my heart that you are going to have more confidence after this.
Alex Earl
I do too.
Elisa Kelly
I really do. Because you're gonna not. You're gonna feel more seen.
Ashton
Yeah. At least, like, validated in my own, like, thoughts and opinions.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. And then another piece of it is that you need to feel safe. Stability and safety and security are really, really important for you. And being sort of like outside of your comfort Zone can feel really lonely and feel really sort of, like, uncomfortable.
Alex Earl
Scary.
Elisa Kelly
Yeah. And that's not necessarily something you have to run away from, though. Like, we do want to challenge ourselves. We do want to become stronger people who are more capable of withstanding different types of circumstances and conditions. So it's not like this doesn't feel good. I should never do it. But it is something. It's like you have to work up to it, you know?
Alex Earl
So is there anything that you're working on? Anything you want to talk about or.
Elisa Kelly
I have a podcast I have. It's called Horoscope Weekly. It comes out every Monday. Yes, my book came out not that long ago.
Alex Earl
Is this the book you brought?
Elisa Kelly
It's the book I brought.
Alex Earl
I'm so excited.
Elisa Kelly
It's 365 days of reflections on astrology and tarot and manifestations and magic. So you can flip to a random page every day and see what the message is. You can go through it for an entire year.
Alex Earl
I love that. I love that. So fun. Well, thanks for coming on, Hot mess.
Elisa Kelly
Thank you. Thank you so much.
Alex Earl
We're gonna have to do another catch up. Looking forward to the year.
Elisa Kelly
Yes. It's gonna be a great one. It's gonna be a wild one.
Alex Earl
Yay. But thank you, Lisa. Wait, did I just turn the that off? How do I get that back on? I'm a hot mess.
Elisa Kelly
All set for your flight?
Ashton
Yep.
Elisa Kelly
I've got everything I need. Eye mask, neck pillow, T mobile. Headphones.
Alex Earl
Wait. T Mobile?
Elisa Kelly
You bet. Free inflight wi fi.

Elisa Kelly
To a great day and this ice cold Corona.
Alex Earl
You know what would make this day even better?
Elisa Kelly
My grandma's carne asada. Or your grandma here with us making carne asada.
Ashton
She does love a cold Corona.
Elisa Kelly
Throw in some dancing.
Ashton
Oh, we can watch the game.
Elisa Kelly
I'll drink to that. So, a backyard concert with football, food, dancing, and Corona and your grandma. Or we could keep it simple. Simple is good. Want a Corona?
Alex Earl
Thanks.

Hot Mess with Alix Earle: Episode Summary
Episode Title: Predicting 2025: It’s Written in the Stars with Aliza Kelly
Release Date: January 2, 2025
Guest: Elisa Kelly, Celebrity Astrologer
In this enlightening episode of Hot Mess with Alix Earle, host Alix dives deep into the mystical world of astrology alongside renowned celebrity astrologer Elisa Kelly. Stripping away the façade of trending TikToks, Alix invites listeners to explore the intricate dance of the stars and how they influence personal lives, relationships, and future predictions for 2025.
Elisa Kelly shares her personal journey into astrology, highlighting how an existential crisis during her early twenties led her to discover her astrological birth chart—a discovery that provided clarity and purpose.
Elisa Kelly [09:02]: "I found my astrological birth chart, and it just really, really spoke to me, clarifying a lot of things I was confused about."
Elisa demystifies astrology by explaining the components of a birth chart—sun, moon, and rising signs—and their significance in shaping one's personality and life path.
Elisa Kelly [12:24]: "Your birth chart is a snapshot of the sky at your exact moment of birth. Each planet and point gives insight into different facets of your personality."
Elisa provides an in-depth analysis of Alix’s birth chart, highlighting her Sagittarius Sun, Virgo Moon, and Scorpio Rising. She explains how these elements interplay to shape Alix's dynamic, optimistic, and intense personality.
Elisa Kelly [15:22]: "Your Sagittarius sun brings a brashly optimistic spirit, while your Scorpio rising makes you intensely perceptive, allowing you to read the room with ease."
Elisa uncovers Ashton’s Aries Sun in the 12th House, Gemini Moon, and Taurus Rising, illustrating how Ashton’s sensitive and intuitive nature contrasts with her outward Aries energy.
Elisa Kelly [17:01]: "Ashton, your Aries Sun in the 12th house makes you incredibly sensitive and intuitive, often feeling emotions deeply and needing privacy."
The episode delves into the complementary dynamics between Alix and Ashton, emphasizing their opposite rising signs (Scorpio vs. Taurus) and how their differing approaches balance each other.
Elisa Kelly [16:36]: "You guys have opposite rising signs, which is fantastic because you complement each other perfectly—grounded Taurus rising meets intense Scorpio rising."
Alix recounts her transformative year in 2022, where she trusted her intuition to decline a planned study abroad trip, leading to unexpected brand deals and a significant surge in her social media following.
Alix Earle [50:07]: "When I decided not to go abroad, I initiated smaller brand deals that skyrocketed my following from 100k to 5 million by the end of 2022."
Ashton shares her struggles with finding clarity in her career path post-college, seeking validation and confidence in her intuitive abilities.
Ashton [51:17]: "I always wish for clarity in what I'm doing because I've tried so many things and never felt truly passionate."
Elisa forecasts significant changes in social media dynamics and emphasizes the importance of community building and personal growth in 2025. She advises embracing new beginnings and staying adaptable to navigate the evolving digital landscape.
Elisa Kelly [63:43]: "There’s going to be a lot of social media changes in 2025. Being ready to pivot and adapt will be crucial."
The conversation explores Alix’s commitment issues rooted in her Sagittarius Sun, highlighting her need for freedom and fear of long-term commitments. Elisa offers guidance on maintaining healthy relationships by fostering open communication and mutual support.
Alix Earle [56:13]: "I have very big commitment issues. When I see no end in sight, I freak out and question how to stop that."
Elisa Kelly [53:11]: "Communication is your glue. Ashton, when you're doing shady things, just tell Alex. Alex, don't judge her—be supportive and understanding."
Elisa encourages both Alix and Ashton to harness their intuitive gifts and build self-confidence. She underscores the importance of trusting one's instincts and being authentic, which will empower them to achieve their personal and professional goals.
Elisa Kelly [70:52]: "The more you trust your intuition and lean into your psychic powers, the more confident you will feel."
Ashton [69:18]: "After this conversation, knowing that I am officially a certified psychic magic witch, I feel more validated in my thoughts and opinions."
As the episode wraps up, Elisa Kelly leaves Alix and Ashton with empowering messages about embracing their unique astrological profiles to navigate the challenges and opportunities of 2025. The hosts express excitement for future episodes, promising more insights and personal revelations.
Elisa Kelly [72:17]: "Thank you so much for having me. 2025 is going to be a wild and transformative year for all of us."
