I got up this morning, morning at 4am to get here. I had a connecting flight in Charlotte. And guys, let me tell you two things. While I stopped in Charlotte, being from the northeast and observing everyone from the South, I'm like, this is a different world. First of all, everyone is so nice. You're getting a water bottle in the airport and they're like, how's your day going? Love your sweatshirt. And I'm like, what do you want from me? Even on the airplane, people are like bumping into each other and they're like, I'm sorry, like, making jokes. In New York, if you, like run into someone, they'll literally turn around and punch you in the face or like curse you out. I know Braxton's from the South. That's why he's so nice. It's so amazing. Like, everyone here is so pleasant. So my mom is also here this weekend with like, her best friend. And I'm just so excited that they're coming with us. It actually means the world to me. And I'm a little scared because there's parties going on this weekend. My mom is going to be like, I want to party. She's crazier than I am. I think you guys are really gonna like my mom on the vlog. Someone asked if they could do like, an interview with my mom for Mother's Day. Like, about me, with me not there. And I was like, no. My mom is like. She just has no filter. She's like my grandma, too. So I went to see Dr. Mian this week, and we did, like, full extractions again. I remember if you guys remember from the last time, because now I feel like everything's kind of, like, coming to the surface. I'm really trying not to touch and pick my face. I think me picking my face is, like, 80 of the reason that my skin is the way it is, because you make it so much worse. So I'm really trying to have patience right now. Patience is a virtue. You. So, basically, I came to this weekend last year, and it is a lot of fun. It's just like a different world. Like, I've never really been to a horse race like this before. It kind of feels like the Hunger Games when everyone is, like, dressed up in all these crazy hats. Like, I went downstairs in the hotel today, and some lady had a hat that was, like, literally a pot of flowers on her head. And I am obsessed with horses. I'm used to ride horses. Last year, we had a lot of fun. There's basically, like, a bunch of different spots you can watch the race from. And we were kind of just walking around saying hi to a bunch of different people. We're, like, double dating this weekend. We have Josh and Gabby. I'm pretty sure Isaac and Ali are also here, which me and Braxton are obsessed with them, so we're so excited. And the other really fun thing is betting on the races. I'm never a big gambler because I'm like. I feel like you're just throwing your money away for stuff like this. It does make it, like, really, really fun. And I remember last year, everyone's, like, chanting and cheering for who they bet on. And I'm not, like, big into looking at the horse's stats. I don't want to go off of, like, this horse is number one. I. I like their names. That's what I would do for March Madness all the time. In high school, when I literally didn't know anything about sports, I was just like, whoever has the coolest name, I'm going to pick, and I would always win the bracket. And plus, it'll be good if Braxton's here, because then I can use his money to bet. So then it makes it, like, way more fun. This is a test to see if Braxton watches my vlogs. So Braxton's flying in later today, because he is training right now for football. So he's going to meet us at the race. He's going to come straight from the airport. And today is the Kentucky Oak. So it's the day before the Kentucky Derby, and everyone wears pink. That's, like, the theme of today. I don't have any pink to wear, but last year I did wear pink. What I am wearing today, though, I'm curious how it's gonna go, because the dress basically looks like a Kentucky Derby hat. Kind of like that same material. The only problem is it's just, like, big and massive and, like, swirly and, like, it does at sometimes look like I'm just a floating head. So I have to kind of, like, bend it in the right way. So it could either be really cute or it could be like, oof. Like, she had a big mishap with her outfit. What's going on? What look should I do for the eyes? I don't want to do too much. I mean, you guys know I always do things with, like, Kristen, Ashton, and Sally, and I don't really, like, branch out of that when I'm traveling with friends. Having Josh and Gabby there was just, like. It was fun. It was different. And it made me and Braxton get giddy about maybe doing. Doing, like, couples things. We were like, oh, we should go on, like, couple strips from time to time. And, like, I feel, like, feel so old. Who am I? But we were talking with Josh and Gabby. We're like, maybe we should plan something this summer. And couple strips are hard because, you know, when there's couples that fight and it's like, they kind of ruin the vibe or they, like, make things like Weirdly competitive. Like I've done stuff before with couples where it's like, oh, like we do this. Like we do this. And then you have to like compare and be like, oh, well, we do this. And it gets like a very like awkward like tension. We actually had a very good dynamic. Braxton, Josh, Gabby and me. And then getting to my mom there was really fun. I get emotional when I talk about this stuff, but being able to bring my mom and have her friend here with us. My mom has like treated me to so much in my life and has always spoiled me growing up and given me so much love. So to be able to like return the favor to her feels really good. And just like take her out and watch her have fun is so funny. And it honestly scares me cuz I'm like, holy, that is me in 30 years. That woman is my twin. We act the same. I'm just like, oh my God. Like I always say. I'm like, oh my God, she's so crazy. What is she doing? But I'm like, oh my God, that's gonna be me. Hello. It's a little forward future. Look at myself. If you guys are still gonna be watching my vlogs in 30 years, that's what I'm gonna be in life. So not much is gonna change. But overall that was a very, very fun trip. And okay, I wanted to have a little chat with you guys about vlogs going forward because I've been incorporating like a little lot of fun moments into the vlogs which I feel like I didn't really get to do at times on the podcast cuz it was more so me just like talking. I didn't get reboot, reboot. Now that I'm doing all these vlogs now I'm like, okay, well hey, I'm missing talking to you guys. I need to sit down and chitchat with you guys. I have so much to say. Now that I'm not talking for an hour every week, I want to integrate a little bit more of that into the vlogs. Like me talking to you guys. And I love giving advice advice. Like I think what Alex do is like my favorite part of the podcast. So I'm gonna like weave that in a little bit into these vlogs too. And you guys will see in vlogs coming up like some. We may just have like more of a sit down chat, more of like a heart to heart. And then we're still gonna have like the party and the fun and keeping up with everything. But I want to make sure that we have a good balance. And this next month coming up, it's like we have Ashton's graduation, we have Memorial Day weekend at the Jersey Shore. I'm going to see Braxton and Houston. There's so much fun stuff coming up and I'm really excited. But always, always love your guys feedback.
