Hey, everyone. Vince here. Last week we released episode six of How I Died Med School, which marks about the halfway point for the 13 episode season. John's in some hot water with Dr. Cooper and the ghosts he's trying to help are getting a little restless. As part of our celebration for the new season, we're opening up a seven day free trial starting today right now of Patreon bonus content. That's bonus episodes for all of seasons one through four, which totals over 40, by the way. All the behind the scenes info, photos and unreleased scripts, plus access to the first two episodes of How I Died Med School. You can dive in now on the prequel and follow John as he navigates his first months as a doctor at Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. On day one, a heart surgery patient named Marcus goes into cardiac arrest and John believes it was a medical error. But of course, he has no way to prove it. At least not yet. And the mystery unfolds from there. Listen to the trailer right after this. Or if you're excited to jump in, stop this right now and go to patreon.com howidied to listen to all the great stuff completely for free. Seriously, go now. This offer is only available through June, so go start your seven day free trial right now at patreon.com howidied and if you're enjoying what you're listening to, consider upgrading after the free trial to get all the new episodes of Med School. Plus Mike and Ray's fantastical adventure miniseries which follows the scientists before the bubble explosion. And the full Crowley miniseries which, as you know, fan favorite and personal favorite, pulls at every single heartstring and is a great murder mystery. So go check it out. Scalpel spreaders and the new valve doctor.
C
We're approaching tachycardia.
B
Almost got it. So this shouldn't be happening.
C
We can fix it. Is he rejecting the new valve?
B
V fib. Shit.
C
Shocking him will put extra stress on the new interns. To the side, please.
B
Cortez pushing me. A Dion and magnesium Grim. Begin manual cpr. Harry, fill in.
D
I told you. The books, the classes, they're different than being in front of people. You know I'm not good with this kind of stuff.
C
Anything in this field takes practice. That's the whole point of a training. You're not going to get fired for being intimidated by patients. But you will get fired if you don't bring anything to the Table.
D
Practice with people. Practice with people. I wish I would have jumped into action like Vikram and just done cpr, but I want to be good at this. I'm not cut out for these high stress situations. I'm the backup when something goes wrong. Wanting to help isn't the same as being able to.
E
Okay, what the heck does that all mean?
D
It means Dr. Cooper should have taken you back to the OR for exploratory surgery.
E
John, are you telling me that my death was preventable?
D
I think so. Doesn't Marcus family deserve to know what happened?
C
They do. Do you want to be transferred to a different attending? Or better yet, flunk the last credits you need before graduation? Accusing someone of an imaginary coverup is a great way to do that.
E
Go talk to my wife and tell her you'd recommend an autopsy. She'll listen. It's that simple.
D
I can't.
B
Sure you can.
E
Of course. Guard Argod. We're all condemned to decision. Inaction in its own right is a choice. You're not gonna feel better by doing nothing.
D
I'm not gonna feel better by doing something either.
E
Then I guess you gotta ch.
C
Please, for the love of all that is good, do your jobs. Be halfway decent at them. And we shouldn't need to interact much. Okay. Enjoy rounds and welcome back to Hopkins.

The war is over and both sides lost. Kingdoms were reduced to cinders and armies scattered like bones in the dust. Now the survivors claw to what's left of a broken world, praying the darkness chooses someone else tonight. But in the shadowdark, the darkness always wins. This is old school adventuring at its most cruel. Your torch ticks down in real time, and when that flame dies, something else rises to finish the job. This is a brutal rules light nightmare with a story that emerges organically based on the decisions that the characters make. This is what it felt like to play RPGs in the 80s. And man, it is so good to be back. Join the Glass Cannon podcast as we plunge into the shadow dark every Thursday night at 8pm Eastern on YouTube.com theglasscannon with the podcast version dropping the next day. See what everybody's talking about and join us in the dark.
