It’s day one of testimony in the Lindsay Clancy triple murder trial, the 35-year-old mother who strangled her three young children, but blames postpartum psychosis for the killings. The first witness was Clancy’s ex-husband Patrick, also father to 5-year-old Clara, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan. Patrick Clancy described his wife’s declining and confusing mental state in the days leading up to his children’s deaths. He’s expected to testify for both the prosecution and defense, and has publicly defended his ex-wife, saying she is not a monster, she was just ill. A heartbreaking, yet beautiful love story is emerging out of Arkansas. 24-year-old Arkansas police officer Fred Marsh proposed to his girlfriend of three years and then went on a canoe trip with another couple to celebrate. Within hours of his proposal, his brand new fiancée, Hailey, struggled while in the water and Marsh immediately jumped into the river to push her towards the canoe, and to safety. Unfortunately, Marsh then struggled, became exhausted, and slipped under the water, never to come back up again alive. We remember the young man who died, as he lived, a hero to the love of his life, to his family and to the community he served.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Two weeks ago, a federal judge ordered President Trump to pay E. Jean Carrol the money a jury unanimously awarded her for Trump’s alleged 1991 sexual assault, and so he finally did. But this week, Trump wants it all back. His legal team has filed an emergency injunction to force Carrol to return the money to the escrow account it had been in for the past three years, as they continue to fight the verdict. The Supreme Court has already declined to hear Trump’s appeal, so it is unclear how or where his legal team plans to take this fight next, but Carol’s attorneys had a lot to say about Trump’s latest move. The family of 18-year-old Nolan Wells announced that independent autopsy results list Nolan’s cause of death as “undetermined.” The autopsy, conducted in Washington D.C. and outside the jurisdiction of Mississippi officials, was also unable to determine the time or even day of his death. There were, however, some interesting details, including “red discoloration” on the back of Nolan’s head, but without several organs that were removed during the first autopsy, the pathologist could not rule out foul play, raising more questions as to what happened to the college teen during a Fourth of July weekend of partying with friends.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
