Hey guys, welcome back to the podcast. We are going to have an action packed day today. We are going to talk about tarot tariffs, what you need to know, what's happening, what you should do in the meantime, and then we are going to do a trend report. And I am so excited. I love these episodes. I love talking. The trends are my obsession, as you know. So we're going to have a little, we're going to have a little vegetables and then we're going to have a little dessert. So hang out with me. Let's dig into it. I'm sure I will be talking like a Gilmore girl because we've just got, we've got a bunch to cover. So since this is a trendspotting episode, I want to make sure that you know about my trendspotting membership. I have a monthly membership where you get weekly trend reports that I send you. So I literally go through Etsy with a fine tooth comb and I send you a video showing you all of the trends that are happening and how to apply them. Because that's one thing that I can't show contextually, you know, through the audio of this, of this podcast. So that's where I actually show you the how and I send out also a list of what the trends are so you can kind of see what's changing week to week. You'd be amazed to see, see how long things kind of stick around. I, when I started this, I thought it was going to be really like it was going to constantly change a lot and it's really interesting to watch how they stick and then the ones that are kind of flash in the pan. I also provide product opportunities in that membership. So every week you get five opportunities. Like here are five things I would create this week for your shop. It's a mix of print on demand and digital products. And I also give you the SEO. So that's an awesome membership. We have about 200 people in there and it is, it is so good and it really benefits. I love like the, the emails I get about the membership are huge. And then right now, if you've never tried it before, I'm going to throw in a bunch of bonuses. So this is a really fun time to, to start. You can get your first month for only $17 with the code KEEP20. All of that will be in the show notes. But September 15th, I'm going to give you a niche bundle. So you're basically going to get like a free bonus training on niches with some tools to really help you niche down. And this is going to help some people really take off in their Etsy shop because what hasn't is you haven't figured out how to niche down and this is going to teach you how to do that. September 22nd is going to be double opportunity. So how I said every week I give you five. That week you're going to get 10 things that you can go create with the SEO. On September 29th, you're going to get a bonus trend spotting video that's specific to Christmas. It's going to go over all of the Christmas stuff in more detail rather than a more generalized trend report. October 6th, you're going to get five free design templates. That's where I create designs for you in Canva that you can use for commercial use. And they're ones that are really easy for you to also change. So you could take the basic design and recreate it for 10 other niches and it helps you save a lot of time. October 13th is going to be a mindset visualization audio. So I am just going to be your big sister giving you some encouragement. It'll be an audio that you can play anytime that you need to. You know, you need a little Lizzy energy. You need, you need, you need to raise the vibes and that is going to be there for you. So join now for just $17 for your first month and then get all of the bonuses. You'll also have access to a Library of over 200 product opportunities, things that we've compiled over the last several months that you can go create. So that's awesome. I hope you take advantage of that. Today's podcast is actually sponsored by Profit Tree. I don't know if you've heard it yet, but they just released a new product research tool that helps you see the like your search results on Etsy at a glance. So you can look at all of the listings showing up on that page and it tells you like how many things are in each cart, which is crazy. We haven't seen that on any other tool before. It tells you how many sales they've made, how long the listing has been up, how much it's made them, how much it's selling per month. Like the data is incredible at a, at a glance. And this goes toe to toe with like the other product research tools out there, but instead of a monthly membership it is a one time fee. You pay $67 and you get access to this whole product research tool which if you've ever heard me or another expert, there's so many amazing ones out there refer to making data based decisions. That means you're doing the research about what's working on the platform and you're seeing, you're letting the data help you decide what to create next. And that's why you need a product research tool. I'm going to be getting a YouTub tutorial up about this really soon, so keep a lookout for that. It'll probably be next week, so watch my YouTube and I'll show you exactly how I am using it. But for 67 you can get massive access to massive product research. You'll also get access to their profit tracking which helps you be like Shark Tank ready with your data. I don't know about you, but if I was on Shark Tank I would obviously prepare but right now I wouldn't be able to tell them like my return on ad spend and my exact net profit and what's going out in fees. I'm not good at that. That's not natural for me. So profit tre throws that in. So take a look at that. That'll be linked below. And we love Profit Tree. I'm really excited for them in this new tool. The last thing I want you to know about is I have a live SEO workshop coming up on Thursday, September 25th. It will be at 7pm Central Time and it will be recorded for anyone who can't come live. So if you and your Etsy shop are not getting views, your views are really low or they're inconsistent. It is an SEO problem. It means that people aren't finding. And that means that this workshop is for you. I'm going to do an hour of teaching on exactly how I find the best SEO, how I write my titles, tags and descriptions. And we're also going to spend 30 minutes doing some shop audits. So if you've been looking for some personalized help, that was a really popular thing when I did it earlier in the year. And this will be live and it will not be available for purchase after the fact. So you're going to want to grab this if you need SEO help right now. Early bird pricing is have its 50% off. It will go up on September 9th, so hopefully you're hearing before then. But either way, I'm keeping this very affordable. I hope you can join me for that or at least grab the replay, which will be up right away. So, okay, those are my announcements. Gosh, we did that. I did that pretty quickly and I'm. It's exciting. There's like really good things happening right now, really amazing resources to help you. You know, this is the time of year where even if you're just starting now, don't like wait till January. Don't be like, oh, I'm too late. No, like I can't wait for you to hear Preston's story next week on how literally we talked in November and he blew up. Even in that last two months, he like doubled his went from a hundred sales to 200 sales in like a one month period because of this time of year. So let's get you the training you need. Let's get you the resources you need. Like, I mean, the way I am giving you the biggest hug right now, this is going to be a massive Q4. So we're going to talk about tariffs for a few minutes and then we'll get into the trend report. You ready? I am not. Let's do it anyway. So first of all, tariffs. What's happening? You've probably heard rumblings. So first of all, I do need to give a legal disclaimer because I am not a legal professional and I want to make sure you know that this isn't legal advice. I'm just going to share what I've like been reading on mostly on the Etsy tariffs page. There's obviously news articles. I'm not bringing that into this. I just want to give you what's relevant to us and let you know that if you have any questions, you really need to consult a legal professional. That's even what Etsy is recommending in a lot of cases. So this is just from the Etsy Seller handbook. This is for information purposes only. I also have some information for Printify from Printify for my print on demand sellers. So not intended as legal advice. Also, even if it was like page Hulse would tell you this is changing constantly, like daily. So keep the links that I'm going to provide in the show notes to the Etsy Seller Handbook and then Printify's info page because as it evolves, you're going to want to keep track of it, keep an eye on it and see what regular updates are happening. Let's like really break this down because I, you know, this isn't, this isn't vernacular that we use every single day. Let's start with what is a tariff? Tariff, in case you're just like, I'm so not just even there, Lizzie. And I get it. I'm with you, girl or boy. So a tariff is a tax. It is a tax on things, goods that are imported from one country into another. So they can be really broad and just be. There's just tariffs for everything that comes like into the United States, for example, or they can be really specific. So sometimes there's different taxes on different types of goods, like maybe, you know, maybe tobacco or coffee versus clothes and jewelry. It would be a different type of tariff. Typically, tariffs are set as a percentage of the total item value. So they're saying, okay, this item is $100. The tariff is going to be a percentage of the hundred that'll be taxed on top of it. So on August 29, 2025, the United States suspended something called the de minimis or duty free threshold. De minimis is just a fancy Latin term meaning duty free. And all it means, what you need to know is that there used to be a special waiver where shipments that were under, I think the number was $800, they didn't have to pay the tax. There was just a waiver. It was small. No one wanted to deal with the hassle. But now even those small shipments have to pay the tax. And so what this means is that if you're shipping to the United States from another country, this new tax will be applied to your shipments. Whereas before it wouldn't have mattered, right? How many Etsy sellers are shipping packages that are have a value over $800? So it'll matter if you're outside of the United States shipping into the United States or if you are a seller in the United States who sources materials from other countries. This will likely affect the cost of goods to you. So whoever is sending you those things will probably have to, they may eat it, but they'll probably have to charge more for this extra tax that they're going to have to pay. If you live in the United States, you source goods from the United States and you ship only in the United States, this should not affect you at all right now. So if any of it feels really overwhelming or anything like that, like when I was doing my signs, I had such problems when I would try to ship internationally because they were so large that I only did the U.S. i didn't, I even had problems shipping to Canada. And I love my Canadians so much but it was like I wasn't doing them a good service because I couldn't get the product to them properly at the time because they were so big and they just kept breaking going that far. So you can just, if you're in the US you can just do US stuff. If you're outside of the US this is going to affect you more. So here's the best way to handle this right now. If you're shipping to the United States from another country, Etsy is suggesting, and I agree with them, use a delivery duty paid or there's an abbreviation DDP shipment provider. This is there some of our standard providers, I'll tell you in a second they let you prepay the tariffs to avoid your customers getting an extra charge after the transaction because that's where it gets really sticky. So when you order your shipping label you'll be able to prepay the tariffs right now FedEx and UPS are examples of DDP shipment providers. USPS or the United States Postal Service is not set up for it yet. So I don't know about you but I shipped everything pretty much USPS depending and so that would be. That's going to cause problems. You're going to want to switch for now to FedEx or UPS. Also for international folks, on the Etsy seller handbook page there is a list of other shipment providers because I think it could affect other countries as well. And what you have access to there are others but I know for sure right now United States Postal Service is not set up yet. So Etsy is strongly encouraging sellers to make the switch right now. Or you could really run into some issues with like a upset customers getting charged to like receive their package and shipment and or what they'll do is a lot of times they'll refuse it altogether and so you as a seller really lose out and so just we're just looking out for you. So the other thing that we should all be prepared for and prep our customers for are possible shipping delays, especially for goods coming into the United States from another country because customs is going to be swamped as they navigate this. I don't think there'll be crazy delays in just normal domestic shipment, but I can't guarantee that. Of course, like, who knows, all of this could backlog. I mean they may have to reallocate. I'm sure labor, it could cause some delays everywhere. But especially if you're getting anything from another country and those of us who shop on like TikTok shop or Amazon, things like that should keep keep this in mind as well because we might see a price increase and or we might see delays on anything coming. So it could say, oh, you'll have this in five days. But it turns out if it's actually coming from overseas, they can't accomplish that anymore because it's going to get held up at customs. So setting expectations is great for my print on demand sellers. I took a look at Printify's information on this since they're the provider for the majority of us and again, this is going to affect shipments coming to the United States from other countries. So ideally you have your Printify set up to like designate the that the product ordered is going to be made and shipped in the same country that that's closest to the customer. So a lot of times, like if you're in the UK for example, and you sell to the United States, you should be able to use like tell your Printify to only use US Printers, right? So it would help you avoid the problem. But there are going to be some products where that's just not an opt places that's not an option. So here's the great news. Printify is on top of it. I'm actually super impressed. They're automatically switching all shipping to the DDP providers that charge the tariffs up front. And for now they're covering the cost as well. So literally, thank you, Printify. You shouldn't have to, you shouldn't have. You're not going to worry about anything right now. They're going to take care of it for you. But like seriously, if ideally you want to have your Printify set up to for the product to be made, created and shipped within the country that it's selling into in any case you can. And if you're selling in the United States, that should be very easy. Also I want to just say like, I don't think Printify is going to be able to eat this forever. I think you should probably expect a price increase. They're probably watching to see what's going to happen though because this could just be very temporary. This whole, this whole the de minimis thing could come back, I think. I think it's all very much in flux. So that's what we got there. Links with more information below. Keep an eye on it. But I thought it would be really helpful just to give you. Because I mean, I don't know about you, but until I went and looked at it, I stay away from the news because I am someone who sometimes deals with anxiety and when I worry about with the entire world, I literally can't function with when I see what the world is doing. So if you didn't know, there's your little breakdown. I hope I kept it really simple. More information below. Here's the thing, guys. This is super annoying, but everything is figureoutable. Like keep your eye on the prize. Okay? So around here we sharpen our mindset. We keep things high vibe because we only have so much capacity and this nonsense doesn't get to steal our energy. Enjoy. Okay? We have to just keep moving forward. So don't just like, don't let it ruffle your feathers too much. I know it's easy to get frustrated but we're, that's what we're going to do around here. We're just going to next. Okay, that's how we felt. Here's our solve. Moving on. We're going to put our energy into delighting our customers and lining our bank accounts for right now. So let's talk about fall trends because that is way more fun. And Etsy has not published a trend report, a new trend report. So. Okay, I think actually they may have, they may have not done one last fall as well. So we're going to actually chat about the Pinterest fall trend report, which wasn't very long but had some really interesting insights. And then I'm going to share what I'm seeing on Etsy because as you know, I literally do a weekly trend report. Like this is my obsession. So I've got plenty for you. I will link the Pinterest trend report down below for you as well. Let me take a sip of coffee. Okay, now I'm ready for round two. Man, I'm cruising. I think, man, this can be a short episode that's a little shocking. I know I say that and then I always lie. But so first of all, this will be relevant to absolutely everybody selling anything on Etsy right now. Let's Talk about the colors of the season. I don't know if you've noticed this. It's been really fun to kind of watch and see what's happening in the stores if you go out at all. But the biggest, biggest color of the season, and it really has been all year is chocolate brown. And then there is another less popular but still very popular color and that's like a plum purple, kind of like a darker, rich purple. So this is super interesting to me because the best seller of the year is that espresso brown colored comfort colors flat lay. Like whether you're selling print on demand or you're selling your own shirts DTF or you're selling digital designs, I don't know about you. And we've been talking about it here and in the trend, in the coaching group and in the trendspotting membership that like literally that espresso brown comfort colors flat lay mock up like sells like gold. Like you put something on it that looks even remotely aesthetic on it and it converts really, really well. If if you're not familiar with that, I have a free link like like PDF of my favorite mockups. So I do a lot of testing on what mockups convert the best because there's lots of them out there. There's lots of very high quality ones out there. But I test the ones that are converting the best and that is you can like request that it'll just you submit your email, get the PDF and it'll link all of the best mockups that you can buy on Etsy if you're really new here, a mockup is just a picture of like for example, a blank shirt that then you can put your design on it to show the customer what they're gonna get without having to have one made and then go do a photo shoot. So you can use mockups for just about anything. When I had my sign business, I had I just took pictures of my blank signs so that I could test selling them without even making the sign yet I already knew I could create exactly what I was going to put on it right by painting. I would just test the design on Etsy before I'd create one to make sure it would sell. It was a great way to save time and space. So get my free mock ups and you'll see that espresso brown in there. Let's start with like. So according to Pinterest, this was super interesting. This fall, Gen Z is driving a powerful shift toward thrifting and sustainable shopping, making secondhand style not only smart but Stylish. With Gen Z now accounting for more than 50% of Pinterest users. Super interesting. Searches for dream thrift finds have skyrocketed by 550% amongst that cohort on the platform, while searches for vintage fall aesthetic are up over 1000%. It's not just wardrobes getting the thrift treatment. Men thrift outfits have grown by 31% and thrifted kitchen and thrifted decor ideas have soared by 1,012% and 283% respectively. So this is really interesting and it makes a lot of sense. From what I'm seeing, there is this love right now for. And it's interesting because it actually started with the Millennials, but now I love that the gen zers are embracing it. Everything kind of like grandma core, like a little bit vintage, like a little of updated vintage. Let's take something old, pair it with something new and make it a little bit updated. Out of curiosity, I checked Everbee because I wanted to see what the demand was like on Etsy for the term thrifted. Like our. Because I was like, oh wow, I've never checked that before. We've got vintage and there are only about a thousand searches per month for the word thrifted. And that's like a big head keyword that's as broad as we could get, right? I narrow it down by adding like thrifted dress or thrifted thrifted wall art. Those would always get smaller, but thrifted was only about a thousand. That is super low for a head keyword like that. So this tells me that people are not necessarily searching for actual thrift finds on Etsy, which makes sense because to actually be compliant, they'd have to be at least 20 years old and fit into the vintage category. But the trends in thrifting have like definitely carried over to what's happening on Etsy. So for example, we are seeing so much of the 90s vibes, so lightning bolts, daisies, retro fonts, little mystical stars, also smiley faces. However, this is a big mistake new sellers make because they're very on trend right now. But smiley the it really stinks. This is my name. The name or word smiley, an actual smiley face image, are technically someone else's intellectual property. So they are trademarked and if you use them, you could get, at the very least your listing deactivated. You could get a cease and desist from the Smiley Corporation, you could get your shop shut down and in worst case scenarios you can get sued. So don't use the smiley. Even Though it's on trend. Find other ways to do it to use, like, use the other elements. But these kinds of 90s vibes that very much that, like, that's what the gen zers are going after, right? That kind of vintage look, that kind of like thrifted, a little bit dated, but now we're going to update it look also the 90s preppy look. So those kinds of graphics and images, that's very similar to like, some of the, like lightning bolts and things like that. But there are other expressions of it as well. 90s preppy is very back. That makes a lot of sense to me with the thrifted. And then this one was great. So literally Pinterest had a whole call out saying that patchwork clothing was like, huge. Right now they're all looking for, like, patchwork clothing. So we're seeing some of these. See clothing companies actually be creating new pieces that are patchwork, but also they're trying to like, thrift and look for vintage pieces that have like, you know, like think about like a, a denim jacket, but it's all patchwork denim pieces. Or like, the jacket's a really good expression. Or like pants that are patchwork. We have been seeing that everywhere. On Etsy, it's very much falling into the grand millennial trend. It looks very quilted. It's using fabrics and like stitching them together to like, to, to. And I would, I wouldn't just say fabrics. I'd say like more. More vintage Y looking fabrics or boho fabrics. So, like, we're going to talk about in a minute, but when we're seeing pumpkin designs on shirts this fall, they're like, they're patchwork pumpkins a lot of times. So it totally tickled me. There's an absolute carryover for decor this season. Pinterest users are transforming their spaces with style that speaks to both comfort and creativity. From personalized back to office cubicle setups designed for the new era of work, to bold, vintage and unique tiles. Home and office design is getting a fall refresh. Plus, the glamour of art Deco returns for a modern twist on vintage elegance. We need to pay attention to that. We need to be studying Art Deco. We're going to start seeing more and more of that show up in design elements. We're going to want to be trend combining that with other things. So that's a really important one for us to pay attention to. For fall 2025, it's all about elevating the everyday, making every corner an inspiring, unique escape. No matter your Square footage or budget. So like cozy spaces, really thoughtful. Like, rather than, oh, it's the corner. Don't worry about what goes over there. People are. And I've been seeing this on social media, too. I don't know about you guys on, like, your, you know, your little tick tock, doom scrolls. Fortunately, this is the kind of thing that shows up for me. But it'll be. They'll find, like, the cutest little piece to tuck in that corner and then find some, like, sweet vintage elements to pair with some fresh flowers to really, like, liven up a corner that you would otherwise have ignored, you know, five, 10 years ago. So this is super cute. I thought this was interesting. A note on beauty, since we don't usually talk about that, but grunge inspired makeup returns this fall with a modern, wearable twist. Think effortless smudges, deep tones that makes sense and nods to 90s and 2000s nostalgia. 90s pixie cuts are on the rise with Gen Z. That blows my mind. And as the weather cools, cozy layering extends to fragrance too. Warm, nostalgic scents like apple, vanilla, caramel are the season's must haves, inviting you to wrap yourself in comfort head to toe. I thought that was a great one to share because some of you are focused on candles and other scents, you know, maybe like diffusers or oils and things like that. So it would be a good idea to put an emphasis on some of those more traditional, nostalgic stuff. Sense. Okay, let's run through some trending, like concepts, some things that are, that we're seeing all over the place also, just to give you a sense. So for fall, here are the things that you want to be that are like, bigger. I mean, there's always like the typical fall stuff and then there's. Sometimes it'll. Every year it'll hone in on a few specific elements. If you are doing print on demand or digital products, like a lot of folks that I work with, it is not a good idea to just throw one fall thing on a design and think that's going to work. You're going to want a trend combine. You want to bring multiple things together that make sense. They shouldn't be random, they should make sense, but bring them together to create something new. And that is how you beat saturation and you stand out in a busy marketplace. It's worked extremely well for me and for my students. So every year for fall, football is huge. There is no exception this year. What could we do differently? We're not going to just put A football on a shirt. Shirt. But what if we put a patchwork football on a shirt? Just to give you an example of how to apply this coffee is also huge. No surprise there. Cozy season is sort of like the phrase for fall. Pumpkins are really big this year, but you're either going to make them patchwork or a brush, a watercolor brushstroke style. So not just a typical, you know, graphic design style pumpkin, specifically patchwork, brushstroke or doodle would be another big one. Boho vibes are massive this fall. Like the boho does really well year round. It's a style that I love. We see it all the time. But this fall, boho is like one of the biggest things. I'm seeing it on like a large percentage of the designs. Also skeletons. I should have put that under Halloween. But you know what's interesting about skeletons is that they are a year round thing now. They will sell just as well in February as a Valentine's Day concept as they will for Halloween. And so that's been fun. I'll be. I'm curious to see how long that will last last. So this Halloween we're seeing a special emphasis on ghosts. There's, there's a lot with ghosts and you see them a lot with like cats or you'll see a silly goose dressed up like a ghost. So that's another. That's a. We'll talk about that later. That's like an evergreen trend, the silly goose. P.S. silly goose itself, I believe is or was trademarked. I don't know if that expired or not, but I wouldn't mess with it. So always have a nod to the silly goose trend. But you're going to want to, you're going to want to tweak it. You're going to want to make it like. So for example, we'll say I saw a shirt that said got too silly and it had like a goose doing something goofy on it. Oh no, it was in a prison cell. So I have like prison bars in front of it. Got too silly. So don't actually say silly goose. Other do other twists on it. Okay, so ghost, bats, spiderwebs, black cats, witches are really big this Halloween, but with a feminist twist. So you're not just seeing a typical like witch design. You're seeing it like you're seeing either a nod to the Salem witch trials or you're seeing some kind of feminist twist with it for Thanksgiving. I'm not seeing a ton yet, but what I am seeing is lots of pumpkin pie. People I think it's like probably a nod to the pumpkin spice thing, which also could do great for fall. It's for several years now that's been huge. So pumpkin pie, pumpkin spice, hand drawn turkeys. So I'm seeing a lot of really cute turkeys. Or like, let's take what we've learned. Patchwork turkeys. We could do watercolor, brushstroke style turkeys. We could do doodle turkeys. That would be like on trend, bringing. Doing the trend, combining. So pumpkins again. But we're seeing for, especially for Thanksgiving, the watercolor brushstroke style pumpkins. Lots of vintage vibes, which makes sense with what we've heard as well. So think of like the perfect thing I saw was a shirt design that had 90s style water. Water, not water, wildflowers on it. And it had like cornstalks and it had pumpkin illustrations and it was all pulled together in a very like basically what you would have seen on a sweatshirt in 1990. Very, very vintage feeling, but updated. And then everything for Thanksgiving, like lots of nostalgia, nostalgic charm with an updated twist. So yes, sometimes it does well to just have the vintage item. It usually does even better to understand how that vintage looks look is updated, like how people are liking it today because it's usually slightly different with that updated twist. And then I did some research on what's gonna. What's expected for Christmas. I found out that basically what happens in the United States at Christmas are the trends from like three to five years ago in Italy. I thought that was fascinating. Like, that was so interesting to hear. Like, why are we. So why are we that many years behind and why aren't we setting our own trends? Not to say, like, obviously Italians have like the best taste on the planet, so I get it. But we're seeing a lot of pink and red. So that P has carried over from a few years ago. We thought it was like very Barbie inspired and I'm sure that was part of it. It's still really big. Holographic is going to be really big this Christmas. Gingerbread are back again. I was so tickled by the gingerbread men and women last year. We loved that. So they're going to be popular again this year. I mean, ginger, Patchwork gingerbread. I want to go create that right now. That sounds adorable. Gold glitter. So all of the designs, like think, you know, think of anything that you might create, like a snowman, but then outlining it in a gold glitter so it's metallic. You're kind of it's kind of looking, and it's usually as an outline or little embellishments on the design to give it a bit of shine. It draws your eye to that area. That's been really interesting to see. Leopard print is huge. So for example, I'm seeing a lot of, like, leopard print poinsettias. When you're seeing a faux poinsettia, that's really interesting. Rhinestone red is going to be a big one. Peacocks and peacock colors. So, like, take Christmas. More turquoise and pale green and everything peacock. I thought that was really fascinating. And then for the past few years, pastel candy has been a really big trend. So as you're creating your designs and you're thinking, okay, gingerbread men, okay, I'm sure Christmas trees will be back, and I bet they'll be more. I bet we'll see patchwork Christmas trees, brushstroke, watercolor style Christmas trees, and doodle Christmas trees. So that's how we're going to bring those trends in. But pastel candy, like, when you're create, like, let's say you're creating a collage. Christmas collage, which PS Collages are huge. Both doodle style and, like, big, blocky, like a big rectangular design on a shirt of, like, collage things thrown together, you're going to want to include pastel candies in that. That'll be on trend. And then also minty green. To me, that feeds into the peacock thing, but I think it's also separate. Like, people are adding minty green to some of their more traditional stuff. I don't know. White owls are big. Pheasants, Woodland theme, which makes me so happy. That's my favorite. And then vintage Santa and other vintage elements. That was big last year. It's continuing this year. I think it's this nostalgia thing. Right. Do you see how it carries over? It doesn't just hit in one area. It's not just like back to school with nostalgic 90s shirts. It's literally like carrying into every holiday. And then finally, I just wanted to talk a little bit about the evergreen things that are happening right now. What that means is it extends beyond any specific holiday or event. Event. And these are styles that you could take to, you know, the book reader niche, the ha. Any kind of hobby, the teacher niche, the nurse niche, that kind of thing. So, as we already mentioned, but it bears mentioning again, the 90s vibes are massive. A lot of times we're seeing it, like, trend combined. Right. So you'll see, like, A back to school. It's too late now, but like a back to school teacher shirt but with 90s elements on it. And that's how. Oh, I never mentioned. The other big one for 90s is like checkers, black and white checkers. Or you'll even see it in like pink and white. You'll see others, you'll see them kind of veer off with the colors of the checkers, but they're huge. I can't believe I forgot to mention that. Well, there you go. Hopefully you stayed this long to hear that. And then another big trend right now that you may have seen is vintage postage stamp designs. So for example, let's say you're designing a Christmas. A Christmas design. Whether it's for, whether it's a digital design or it's for ephemera or if there's a way you could take this into jewelry, into like things that you're sewing, like any. It's. It's everywhere. They're taking the elements. So if you'd have all of these kind of vintage looking postage stamps and then you'd have the designs in them relevant to the niche. So for teachers, you might see a globe in one of the postage stamps, you might see pencils or crayons in another one, you might see. I'm trying to think of like other back to school, you might see like a backpack. So whatever the little elements are that are relevant to that. So Halloween, you'd see a black cat in one, you'd see a haunted house in one, you'd see a witch in one, you'd see a skeleton in one. So all of the elements relevant are going inside the postage stamps in like a sweet design. Those are really big right now. Another one is doodle collages. So like, I was just talking about those big collages. We're seeing like some that are all monochromatic. So one color and all doodle elements that kind of all work together. Like, I don't know, like we would have sat in grade school and doodled on our paper in one design. And it literally like looks like that. It's absolutely adorable. I actually recently did a YouTube video on, on how to create these with, with AI. I've like tested a bunch of different art generators and found one that'll create a gorgeous doodle collage for you. So if you want to check that out, I'll put it in the link. I'll put the link below as well. And then the next one, the next evergreen one is like brush stroke or watercolor. Elements. So if you've been here for a while and, and this is still around to. You heard about the brush brushstroke, which was like these big swatches on a shirt, for example, on a design and it looked like a brushstroke and then pictures were popped into it and there'd be three or four of them, usually four across a design. And just these different swatches that went together I think as like a tag on that. We're seeing a lot of painted looking elements. So think about a pumpkin. But you can actually see the actual painted brushstrokes. It looks very watercolory and the what, what really brings you in and what's very on trend are the actual brush strokes of it. So anything that you could create on like thinking forward for Valentine's Day, we're going to see hearts in the brushstroke style. They're going to. It's going to look like you can see where the brush actually painted each curve of the heart. I'm guessing for Christmas you're going to see that for like snowmen. You'll see like the white of the snowman, but you'll see the brush strokes and then coquette is still massive. You're not so much seeing a design that is just coquette, like just bows, but you'll see bows everywhere. So that back to school shirt I talked about where the different elements are in the stamps, the backpack, the scissors, the crayons, you'll see little bows thrown in there as well as just a way to enhance the image. And that's more how they're used. And then of course, I have to mention again, patchwork Quilted Grand Millennial. It's not just for the holidays. You would totally see it like in the bookish niche. You would totally see it in the nurse niche. You'll be seeing that everywhere. And then the last one is the silly goose trend. So every holiday, everything, we're seeing that everywhere. Honestly, I'm surprised it's still such such a big deal, but people are loving it, so that's literally it. I think this is the shortest episode I have done in years. So I don't know. You're welcome. On trend strategy:
"It is not a good idea to just throw one fall thing on a design and think that's going to work. You're going to want a trend combine. You want to bring multiple things together that make sense. They shouldn't be random, they should make sense, but bring them together to create something new."
