November is Prematurity Awareness Month with the 17th November being "prematurity awareness day". As you may already know, pregnancy may be unpredictable. Some little bundles are in such a hurry to meet us, they come way before they are due. In this episode, we explore Mama Jessica's experience of a premature labour and mothering a premature baby. We discuss her journey from labour to parenting, the physical and emotional journey and how she coped with an unexpected delivery.

In our 7th episode, we take a laid back approach to our conversations around our parenting journey. We discuss the day to day norms that contribute to us feeling overwhelmed, content and reflective. We also express our feelings by associating songs that best reflect our feelings in the moment. Motherhood is a collection of simultaneous emotions which we have been able to capture during our conversation.

It is important for all mamas to know and remember that it is okay NOT to be okay, and it is vital to acknowledge when these times occur, so that we can get the right support for our mental health and overall well being. As the saying goes...'a problem shared is a problem halved'. Let somebody know what you are going through, there is always help and support out there if and when you need it
