Bowen Yang
This is Bowen Yang from Lost Culture Research with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang. We all know the feeling when life gets really busy. Taking care of yourself can feel impossible. That's why Premier protein shakes are my go to. They have 30 grams of protein, 160 calories, no added sugar, and they taste amazing. So they're a healthy choice you'll actually want to make.
Arasha
It's.
Bowen Yang
It's not just for fitness. It's for getting after life. The 30 grams of protein gives you the fuel you need. It's not just for intense gym sessions, it's just for life. With the wide variety of flavors from cafe latte to cake batter, it never feels boring. It's a flavor for everyone. I personally love the peaches and cream, but maybe you're a root beer floater cinnamon roll kind of person. Premier Protein empowers me to say yes to more. Find your favorite flavor@premierprotein.com that's P R E M I E R P protein.com or at Amazon, Walmart and other major retailers.
Arasha
When I invited you here, thought I made myself perfectly clear. When you're a guest in my home, you gotta come to me empty handed. I sat. No. Guess your presence is presence enough. And I already had too much stuff. So how do you dare disobey me?
Bridger Weiniger
Welcome to I said no gifts. I'm Bridger Weiniger. We're here. I'm back. I got back last night. I was on my big trip. I've been on four flights in a week. Every single time I made peace with dying. So I'm back. I'm home. I am back to just taking Everything for granted. That didn't take that long. I guess there's just no stopping how afraid I am of turbulence. I'm screaming. I screamed during turbulence. And then I sat next to someone who smelled horrible. And I will say, Southwest Airlines is now providing pistachios. You know, I've said some nasty things about the airline. I've said some nice things. This is a good move for an airline.
Arasha
Shell or no shell?
Bridger Weiniger
No shell.
Arasha
Okay. Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got a lot to talk about. Let me see if I have any business here. No, not really. I came into the studio today, and it smelled like somebody had dropped a bottle of perfume or an air freshener had broken or something. It's probably one of these gifts. I don't know. Oh, I'm just realizing I left the windows open at my house. Every window is open right now. That's a tip for local burglars. I've got all of my windows for the next hour and a half. If you can get over there. Well, I don't have that much. I mean, my fridge is empty. I've got nothing to give you. Okay, let's get into the podcast. Today's guest is absolutely fantastic. It's Arasha. Arasha, welcome. I said no gifts.
Arasha
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Bridger Weiniger
We were just talking about mononyms.
Arasha
Yes. Yes, we were.
Bridger Weiniger
And I'm now kind of circling the idea of just dropping my last name altogether.
Arasha
It's done. Today is the day. It's the announcement. It's just Bridger Now.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm just gonna own Bridger.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
I think if you pull up on a name, take the mononymous and that, you know, Madonna. Nobody else is going by that.
Arasha
Absolutely. No. It's like a parking spot.
Bridger Weiniger
Totally.
Arasha
You've claimed it.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah.
Arasha
Now just throw out the keys.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
And stay there.
Bridger Weiniger
Really? And I feel like I'm not too late on Bridger.
Arasha
No. Oh, no, that's. And that's perfectly unique, too, because then, like, people, I'm sure they also try to mess that up a little bit. But if it's just that one name, that's all you gotta remember.
Bridger Weiniger
It's not that much to learn. Right. Because I am asking people a lot with two names that are a little bit confusing.
Arasha
It's inconvenient. Actually, I'm coming here because the people have been asking me to ask you to stop giving two names out.
Bridger Weiniger
Bridger is being very rude. He's asking too much of us.
Arasha
He's giving us a last name.
Bridger Weiniger
A horrible last name, by the way. And one that's extremely difficult.
Arasha
It's awful. It's so rude.
Bridger Weiniger
It's really cruel what I'm doing to people.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
But Bridger. If people can commit to Bridger.
Arasha
Huge.
Bridger Weiniger
This could be big for me.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
You kind of do this with your name. Arasha.
Arasha
That's right. That's right.
Bridger Weiniger
I feel like you can own that now and nobody can really fight.
Arasha
Absolutely. I think there's like, maybe, like, there's gotta be one more Arasha out there that's like, shit, you know? You know. But there is a. I know there's a resort and spa in Ecuador called Arasha.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. That's far enough away.
Arasha
Yeah. I mean, well, listen, I'm like, we can collaborate.
Bowen Yang
It's a brand.
Bridger Weiniger
Brand. Sponsor. Sponsorship. Something. I'm brand.
Arasha
I am brand open. I'm brand curious.
Bridger Weiniger
Become the face of a Russia.
Arasha
I'm just saying, as you like a nice place. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Like, I look it up, it's got, like, waterfalls.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Truly, if something has a waterfall, I'm on board for that.
Arasha
It's a waterfall mononym. That's all we need to say.
Bridger Weiniger
And then we were just talking about the idea of everyone just being called by their number, which I said, well, what if it. You know, chronologically speaking, what number would I be at this point?
Arasha
I mean, I can't even.
Bridger Weiniger
How many people do you think have been alive so far?
Arasha
Yeah, right. Because we always talk about the current number.
Bridger Weiniger
We're at, what, 8 billion?
Arasha
Something like that. Seven and a half billion. I don't know when we made the jump from 7 billion to 8 billion. But I will quickly, I'm sure. But also was. It wasn't always in the billions.
Bridger Weiniger
It's. And it's the billion. I feel like it's getting. You know, 150 years ago was probably, like. Now I'm just making.
Arasha
No, me too.
Bridger Weiniger
The dumbest guess. I would say probably like 4 billion or something. You know, I feel like Earth, the population has rapidly exploded.
Arasha
When. But when do you think that we hit, like, the billion mark?
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
When did a billion people.
Bridger Weiniger
And how long did it. Yeah. And before.
Arasha
Did it ever, like, teeter a little under?
Bridger Weiniger
I think we should guess how many jelly beans are in the jar. How many people have been alive in the history of Earth? I would say, like 100, 130 people, I think so.
Arasha
That feels really large.
Bridger Weiniger
I know that might be too much. We've gone too far.
Arasha
Yeah. People are gonna think we're dumb. Maybe we don't guess.
Bridger Weiniger
I actually Am gonna Google this. How many. What's the rough. How many people have been alive ever since the beginning of time? Here we go.
Arasha
Okay, okay.
Bridger Weiniger
Well I don't want to look at this stupid AI overview. I'm not looking into that.
Arasha
Give me the d. Give me the.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm going to the Population Reference Bureau. This is, this is a real.
Arasha
If it's got bureau in the name
Bridger Weiniger
and it's being led by Toshiko Kanye.
Arasha
17 billion or so.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah, it's a rough number. 117 billion.
Arasha
I gotta say I'm a little disappointed.
Bridger Weiniger
I know.
Arasha
I really thought we were gonna learn like a new word. Like you know, like a gajillion.
Bridger Weiniger
117. Seems like we could get there now, right? We could get 117 billion people on earth now.
Arasha
Reproduce, everybody. Right now.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got the Midwest to fill up.
Arasha
Yeah, please. Because no one's there.
Bridger Weiniger
There's nobody. There's a lot of farmland. We could build, you know, some tall buildings. Fill em up.
Arasha
Yeah, that's what everybody's asking for out there. They want really, really vertical buildings.
Bridger Weiniger
Yes, exactly. I really do think since the beginning of time I would have guessed at least like 300 billion.
Arasha
No. Right. I was thinking 400 billion and I was like, no, don't say that. That's like so few. That's like stupid. But I guess a billion really is.
Bridger Weiniger
It's a big thing.
Arasha
Big thing.
Bridger Weiniger
But then you start comparing that to how that like really puts into perspective again how much money a billionaire has.
Arasha
Oh, and we're here. And we're here and look at where we found ourselves. Yeah, yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Since the beginning of time. So I basically would probably be like you know, 116. Yeah, 116. 700 million something.
Arasha
That's actually pretty exciting.
Bridger Weiniger
That number is kind of exciting.
Arasha
Yeah. Like we're the most recent billion.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. It's not that much to remember.
Arasha
No, no.
Bridger Weiniger
Could work as names.
Arasha
Yeah, no, that's what I'm saying is like that's how we're going to stand out. You know, as actors, as comedians, as performers. We just need to step in front of the slate and say hi, I'm 116,700,000,045 local.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm changing my IMDb now.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everybody get on it. The custom URLs are going to go
Bridger Weiniger
off, but I'll keep Weiniger. 117,600,000,045 winagar.
Arasha
Uh huh. And they're like catchy. Yeah, yeah. That's a name that rolls off the Tongue.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, I'm glad that we've gotten around to this because I. I do need to fix my name. People have been asking for it. They're writing in, they're begging.
Arasha
Shit.
Bridger Weiniger
So.
Arasha
And you're just now doing something?
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah, well, that's kind of how I live my entire life, to be honest. I snooze, like, 17 emails this morning. Oh, next week? Next week?
Arasha
Next week. Do you snooze your alarm, too, in the morning?
Bridger Weiniger
I do, but it's at nine minutes. Why is it nine minutes?
Arasha
Yeah. Is that the normal as well? Is that, like a REM thing?
Bridger Weiniger
I don't know. That's a good question. How did they land on nine and not just 10? I feel like a regular alarm is usually like. If you had an alarm clock, It'd probably be 10 minutes. Right.
Arasha
I don't know if regular alarm clocks even snooze. Do they? I thought the iPhone introduced that.
Bridger Weiniger
No, a regular, like, digital alarm clock has the button you can slam, I think.
Arasha
Yeah. And we love that from the movies. Just the.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah, exactly.
Arasha
Where's that alarm clock? This button? I've always wanted to do that, and we can't do that with our iPhones.
Bridger Weiniger
I had an alarm clock, a Pokemon alarm clock as a kid that would sing the Pokemon theme song. Just such an annoying thing to wake
Arasha
up to, but so wholesome. You're like, I don't want to be the very best.
Bridger Weiniger
I don't want to catch you.
Arasha
I want to be my worst in sleep all day. I get that.
Bridger Weiniger
But I don't think that. Because I think that was shaped probably like a Snorlax or something. So I don't think that had a snooze.
Arasha
I had a Hannah Montana one, and
Bridger Weiniger
it was, like, shaped like her head.
Arasha
It was. Well, it was like a big purple one.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, okay.
Arasha
But her, like, arm was kind of sticking out, like, it was like, in the. Like, she. Her arms. Were the hands terrifying? Oh, yeah. She was like 12 and three like that, you know, so she'd, like, move around. What? But I don't know. I thought it was cute when I was younger, I guess I didn't think that we're just deforming Hannah.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. Kind of disembodied hands.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. That seems. I'm having a very hard time picturing that. And now Miley's kind of. She just did her big. She went back and. Did she say she. Was she singing again as Hannah Montana?
Arasha
Yes, but. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She had her big 20th anniversary. But the big gag Was that she wasn't wearing a wig. She just, like, had dyed some of her hair. And she has a new song.
Bridger Weiniger
Amazing gag.
Arasha
Yeah, amazing gag. And then the new song is, like, to my younger self or something.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Oh, interesting reflection.
Arasha
It was touching. It was. I did watch. Did watch it while I was on vacation.
Bridger Weiniger
Where were you on vacation?
Arasha
I was in Miami.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, very nice.
Arasha
Yeah. I mean, I. Could you call it a vacation if I was there for a wedding?
Bridger Weiniger
No. Absolutely not. I think that that's robbery. I think if you have to go. I am on record as saying if you have to go to a different location for someone's wedding, they should have to pay for it.
Arasha
Okay, I'm so glad you brought this up.
Bridger Weiniger
Let's hear about it.
Arasha
I don't think that you have to pay for, like, the flight. I get it. Like, people are coming in from, like, all over, but I feel as though you have to give something. Right? I. I mean, I guess we are getting dinner. We're getting dinner.
Bridger Weiniger
But there's a dinner at every wedding. Okay. So that doesn't mean anything.
Arasha
Great. So that cancels out. Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
Drinks again.
Arasha
Most weddings, mostly, if you're a good person.
Bridger Weiniger
Right. There's going to be something offered to
Arasha
you, but then you got to stay somewhere. Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
I mean, you're paying for a vacation,
Arasha
which is why I feel like I'm trying to trick my head into being like, yeah, I was on vacation. And, you know, I just. Also, there was a wedding in town that I attended.
Bridger Weiniger
How long were you there for?
Arasha
Literally two days.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, so that was not a vacation. They should have paid for that.
Arasha
Exactly. They're selfish.
Bridger Weiniger
If you had been there for six months, that would make sense to me.
Arasha
Exactly. Then obviously we have to do half and half. They fund three months, I fund three months. It's only right.
Bridger Weiniger
And you've got time for a wedding.
Arasha
Right? Right. I can squeeze it in, but it's okay. It was a lovely wedding.
Bridger Weiniger
Two days.
Arasha
I love Miami, and I do love a wedding.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Okay. Well, then, see, this is again where I'm not crazy about it.
Arasha
Really.
Bridger Weiniger
The dancing part, I like. The rest of it I can do
Arasha
without, like, the ceremonies.
Bridger Weiniger
The ceremony is agony for me. Most of the socializing's no fun.
Arasha
Oh, yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
In general, the dinner's kind of mediocre. What is. What am I there for?
Arasha
I mean, here's.
Bridger Weiniger
Let's not say friendship.
Arasha
No, definitely not friendship. I was not going there. Do not worry. This is a motto that I have been recently living by my brother's Friend actually gave this advice to him and he passed it on to me. And it works for any horrible situation that you're in? Maybe not any, but for a lot of them, it helps me when I'm just like, life sucks right now. At least it's interesting.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, okay. So that's the problem. Most of my horrible things are boring.
Arasha
Really? Tell me a horrible thing.
Bridger Weiniger
See, I mean, like, I can't even think of them. They're so dull.
Arasha
They're so dull. Mundane. Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Most of the things that are bad for me are in general not even worth talking or writing about.
Arasha
Okay. Okay. But then I'm gonna peel it a layer back and I'm actually gonna say, what's interesting is that it's happening to you.
Bridger Weiniger
Barely.
Arasha
That's interesting. It's like, oh, I'm not just having a regular old day. I'm upset.
Bridger Weiniger
And again, this is my. This is just kind of the average daily thing for me is I'm upset and bored at.
Arasha
Then how interesting that this is a pattern for you. We're seeing trends. That is of interest.
Bridger Weiniger
That's very exciting. Yes.
Arasha
So weddings, reunions. Even if it's like, you got beef with the people. Interesting.
Bridger Weiniger
No, this is true. I do kind of agree with this. This is how I deal with a bad dinner.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Or if I, like, try a new restaurant and it wasn't that great, I'm like, well, at least it was not the same thing. At least I didn't enjoy myself in a new location.
Arasha
Absolutely. Absolutely. There's something to consistency.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah, exactly. So there's a little bit of that. Yeah. Basically, at this point in my life, if I agree to something, I'm like, well, at least it just won't be sitting in front of my computer. Yes, I'll have left the house.
Arasha
But isn't it just nice to sit in front of your computer?
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, it feels so good to kind of just dull the pain.
Arasha
Yes. Like, just show me my calendar one more time. Let me just scroll to the right and look at this Apple Calendar.
Bridger Weiniger
Maybe I'll circle back to a snoozed email.
Arasha
Oh, my God. That is just like drugs. Seriously.
Bridger Weiniger

Arasha
why did I search the Internet for answers to my cold sore problem? Now I'm stuck down a rabbit hole filled with images of alarmingly graphic source in various stages of ooze. I can clear my search history, but I can never unsee that.
Bridger Weiniger
Don't go down the rabbit hole.

Bridger Weiniger
What did you do while you were in Miami?
Arasha
Let's see. I went to the water.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, very nice. Did you go in it?
Arasha
Just an ankle.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. That's me. Yeah, I'm more of an ocean ankle person.
Arasha
Yeah, I don't want to go deep in there. I don't want that. But it was nice, you know. And then let me see, we were staying in Fort Lauderdale technically. Cause we. That's where we flew in. And then there was like an Airbnb and then the wedding had like a pre party. You know those. The pre. The day before.
Bridger Weiniger
The commitments you have to make. It's so crazy.
Arasha
And Again, fully funded by myself. Because you gotta be supportive to your friends. So we go to the pre. Which was at some, like, pizza place.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, Sounds nice.
Arasha
Sure, sure. And then, like, a big basketball game was happening for college basketball.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I thought you were going to say they made you play basketball.
Arasha
Right.
Bridger Weiniger
Like, I'm going home.
Arasha
I just, like, made a half court shot. It was crazy. No, there was some. Cause it was March Madness.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Yes.
Arasha
Do you know anything about that?
Bridger Weiniger
I can say sweet 16. I can say the college players are playing and eventually they get into this and there are brackets.
Arasha
Sure.
Bridger Weiniger
And eventually someone is crowned the winner.
Arasha
What's sweet 16?
Bridger Weiniger
That is the final 16 teams who are playing will be narrowed down to the terrible two. That's not true. I don't know what the final. I guess it's probably the final two.
Arasha
The final two? Yeah. The final count.
Bridger Weiniger
The final countdown to two.
Arasha
Yes, that's what they say.
Bridger Weiniger
And then there are the four, the two.
Arasha
There's the fours, the twos, the eights.
Bridger Weiniger
We're getting out of my.
Arasha
Yeah, something like that. So we caught the end of the One of those days.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Right. Were you cheering? Were you excited?
Arasha
No, I mean, I was just kind of going with it.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
That's the kind of person I am. On vacation. I'm not very much, like, adamant that we, like, go do one thing and go do the next. Which is strange because I am, I think, type A and I do like my life and work to be organized. But for me, on vacation or any sort of other trip, I am very much like, I'm gonna do whatever the vibes are calling.
Bridger Weiniger
I think that's smart. On vacation.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
This is like, in the last five to ten years vacations for me, I'm like, I will have some big tentpole events and then everything else. Because planning it down minute to minute makes it a nightmare.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
It just becomes a stress. Like, everything is a challenge. You're trying to get to everything on time. I just go and have a pleasant time.
Arasha
As you should.
Bridger Weiniger
Maybe have three or four things I really want to do.
Arasha
Agreed. I think if you have a schedule or a timetable, I know it makes some people feel better, but for me, I'm like, well, then how is this any different from my daily life where I'm like, meeting from nine to okay? Like, that's the same thing. I get the argument of people, because I also just went to Japan earlier this year.
Bridger Weiniger
That's a great place to not have that much of a schedule.
Arasha
Oh, my goodness. But let me tell you Everybody tried to infiltrate a schedule for me. They were like, and then this place, and then this place, and you got to see this, and you got to do this, and you're going all that. So such a far distance that if you go. You got to make it worth it, and you got to do this. And I was like, I want to lay. I want to lay horizontally in a beautiful new place.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah.
Arasha
Do I have to go see an old historical building? Are you sure? Cause what am I gonna. How long am I gonna spend looking at it?
Bridger Weiniger
Where did you go in Japan?
Arasha
Everywhere. Everywhere. Bridger. They made me go everywhere.
Bridger Weiniger
Did you go with friends?
Arasha
I went with my boyfriend.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
So we went to. We flew into JAP Tokyo, and then we did Kyoto. We took day trips to Osaka, to Nara, to Hakone.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, Hakone. Beautiful.
Arasha
It's truly so beautiful. Like, loved it, loved it, loved it. But I was recovering from the vacation for, like, two weeks after the.
Bridger Weiniger
The jet lag. Coming back from Japan is one of the most surreal things I've ever experienced.
Arasha
It's still Monday.
Bridger Weiniger
You sure?
Arasha
Like, surely it cannot be.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, agony. I was like, oh, I think I've just fully now broken the way I can sleep, and I just will never be the same again. Was it worth it?
Arasha
No. Like, I left a part of me in Japan. I don't know. And part of it is in the air, on the flight. Cause I hear what you're saying about turbulence, too. Oh, scary.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, it's terrifying.
Arasha
Scary.
Bridger Weiniger
My boyfriend was trying to tell me he's watched a lot of YouTube, so I don't know when. I haven't seen any of these YouTube videos he's watched about planes, but he's. And knock on wood. But he says that he's watched a lot of pilots say that turbulence cannot. No matter how bad it is, it's not really going to do anything. Yes, but what are we talking about?
Arasha
Like, what do you mean? So that's just to shake things up. Like, just in case you guys were feeling secure and safe. We just want to bounce around a little.
Bridger Weiniger
I am flying off my seat. How is that not dangerous?
Arasha
Right. Why am I putting my tray table up then? Yes, but you're right. That is what I hear is like, it's like, imagine that the clouds are like a big bounce house, and the plane is literally just doing that. Fun. Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
That's the thing that the plane should not be doing. So now it is in danger as far as I'm concerned, and I don't need a pilot telling me Otherwise.
Arasha
Exactly. I might just be joining the people who are applauding when we land sometime soon.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, and now landing, for me, I'm even scared about. I had my windows shut and I thought we were still descending, and then we hit the ground, and I was like, oh, my God.
Arasha
That's always scary when you aren't keeping track, and all of a sudden you land. You're like, oh, period. I'm here. All right. Got it.
Bridger Weiniger
Horrible.
Arasha
No, it's very scary. And truly, flying is, like, the least. My least favorite part of getting to go places every time.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm like, I think this is the. I can't do this anymore.
Arasha
This is the last time I'm gonna fly.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm driving or taking a boat from now on because it's just too much for me.
Arasha
What about the grace of walking?
Bridger Weiniger
No walking.
Arasha
I'll get there when I get there. You know what I mean? We can stop on the way. There's no rush.
Bridger Weiniger
Let me ask you about Nara. I haven't been to Nara. In Japan. This is where all the deer are, right?
Arasha
Yes, yes, indeed.
Bridger Weiniger
What was this experience like?
Arasha
So the big thing that's there are indeed the deer that you get to meet and exchange some bows. They say it's like the hippogriff in Harry Potter.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting. Do those bow.
Arasha
Apparently.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
Don't come for me with the Harry Potter stuff. I swear, I love him. But, yes. I think it's like some sort of thing where. Yeah, you, like. You bow in front of it and it bows back. And so similarly, the deer, they do this as well. You bow and the deer bow, and then you get to give them the crackers that people on the street are giving to you. I am a little frightened. I'm a scared person in general, and I am so scared. I think, of a lot of animals because I didn't grow up with any pets. So I think I have this theory that animals can sense that.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
And so they're like, you. You haven't had an animal in your home. Like, you don't get us.
Bridger Weiniger
We're going to bully you.
Arasha
Exactly. And I'm like. And fair, fair, fair, fair. I'm gonna keep myself at a distance. So I was trying to, you know, be friendly and not be a threat and just kind of be there. But it was also just so public. They just were very much around. They're walking, like, on the street. Like, it's. They're just around. It's very interesting.
Bridger Weiniger
And they seem clean. Do they seem.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah. I mean, you know, as clean as, you know, wild animals can be. But they are truly so cherished in that city. That is, like, the beauty of this landmark. And it's disappointing. Cause I think a lot of people don't understand that. And there's always gonna be, like, naturally,
Bridger Weiniger
like, disrespect some annoying person.
Arasha
Right. Someone's like, and what happens if I push it? And it's like, well, then you'll die. Like, they'll come after.
Bridger Weiniger
I've seen the videos of deer, like, punching people.
Arasha
Oh. Oh, yes. And those signs are everywhere, too. It's like there are big signs that are like, you know, don't touch them, feed them. But, like, if you get too close, like, they are wild animals, they'll attack, and they should. Right? And I was like, and you know what? I'm gonna take that one step previous and just hardly do anything.
Bridger Weiniger
Did you feed one?
Arasha
I fed one.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Does it, like, lick it out of your hand?
Arasha
Yeah, it's more of, like, a little pinch.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting. I don't like that.
Arasha
I don't like it either. It is interesting. It is interesting. But, you know, it's a little grab, and it's like, if you know how that feels on your hand, then lovely.
Bridger Weiniger
Sure.
Arasha
But we similarly also did. This wasn't in Nara. This was in Osaka. Maybe we went to the monkey park.
Bridger Weiniger
I think that's. I went to one in Kyoto.
Arasha
Maybe that was in Kyoto, where you
Bridger Weiniger
go inside the little place and they're like. You feed them the grapes.
Arasha
I think it was called Arashiyama.
Bridger Weiniger
Yes, that sounds familiar.
Arasha
Mononym Arashiyama.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, perfect.
Arasha
And the monkeys in there, we fed.
Bridger Weiniger
Yes.
Arasha
And that was so cute.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, my God. That was so wonderful.
Arasha
Baby monkey.
Bridger Weiniger
Although I saw a family just letting their toddler walk around, I was like, that toddler is going to be taken into the forest. You're just. What are you doing?
Arasha
Okay. And I'm actually so glad that you said this, because I need to share a story that I haven't actually said out loud. And I hope that it's okay, because it's not my trauma. It's, in fact, my brother's trauma.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, my God.
Arasha
So my brother and I were both born in India.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
And we spent just, like, the first couple years of our life there before my family immigrated while we were in India. This is a fully true story.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I'm so excited. Based on the theme we're currently on.
Arasha
Yeah. So I wasn't born yet, I believe. I think my brother was just, like, one.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
And in India, There are monkeys around.
Bridger Weiniger
Sure.
Arasha
And they are similarly also just out and about. And in my brother's room, my mom, like, had just put him down in his crib and was just, like. She just, like, walked out for a second. The door was open, and a monkey came into his room and picked him up and took him out. What?
Bridger Weiniger
How did they get him back?
Arasha
So full kidnapping.
Bridger Weiniger
This is Lindbergh baby.
Arasha
Full kidnap. No, the monkey, like, just took my brother out the window. And my mom, like, kind of comes back. She, like, sees a little bit of this happen, and she's freaking out. She's crying, she's screaming. Screaming. She's on the phone. She's like, a monkey took Faiso. Like, crying.
Bridger Weiniger
You can't reason with a monkey.
Arasha
No, literally. But get this. A few seconds later, brings him back and just puts him back in the room.
Bridger Weiniger
That's very sweet. She just wanted the experience.
Arasha
But also, like, is that my brother?
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting.
Arasha
Who did the monkey return? I don't know.
Bridger Weiniger
You cannot do a DNA test that could rip the family apart.
Arasha
Exactly. No, we don't talk about it. But, like, like, genuinely true story. Wow. Like. Like, I was just talking about it with my brother, too, because he just went back to India for something, and he was talking about. And he was like. And, like, I saw some monkeys. And, like, if you remember. And I was like, your trauma. Yeah, your trauma. And he was like, thank you for remembering that.
Bridger Weiniger
He could have been swapped.
Arasha
He probably was.
Bridger Weiniger
Baby swap.
Arasha
I mean, listen, like, truly, the monkeys were like. I imagine they just, like, held him up, and all of them were like, look. Look at the human boy. And he was like, can I please go back to my crib?
Bridger Weiniger
That's very exciting.
Arasha
I know.
Bridger Weiniger
It's good for him.
Arasha
Good for him. I mean, you know, he's scared, but
Bridger Weiniger
I wonder what happened in those few seconds where the monkey was like, okay, maybe I've crossed a line.
Arasha
We'll never know. Wow. We'll actually never know. I need to actually, like, ask my mom.
Bridger Weiniger
Your poor mom.
Arasha
I know.
Bridger Weiniger
That's real trauma for her. Oh, my God. I went missing in, like, a community center once, and that was enough for my mom.
Arasha
Oh, no. Do you remember?
Bridger Weiniger
I do remember, because they found me. I think I was like, two. They found me in the women's restroom, on the toilet.
Arasha
You creep. You big old creep.
Bridger Weiniger
They found me creeping around. But that was a hugely traumatic thing for her. So I can't imagine, like, monkey has taken your baby.
Arasha
Oh, my God. Yeah. I mean, listen, this is obviously not the same Thing. But, like, you know, when you lose your phone.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, my gosh. I think it's worse.
Arasha
Oh, I know.
Bridger Weiniger
I'd rather lose.
Arasha
My baby is like pennies. But this, when you lose your phone,
Bridger Weiniger
you're like, a phone can't take care of itself.
Arasha
Right. What am I gonna do? It must be so scared. It's like the 16th version of that thing. It's probably horrifying.
Bridger Weiniger
It's running out of battery. It could be stepped up, and it's silenced. Oh, I've got a. This is on. Do not disturb fully.
Arasha
Oh, my God, it's shaking.
Bridger Weiniger
It can't speak for itself.
Arasha
Shaking in my purse. Poor thing.
Bridger Weiniger
And a baby. I mean, a baby is probably gonna find its way, right?
Arasha
You'll learn your words, you'll talk to somebody, will find you selfish.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, well, speaking of trauma and being shaken up.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
I was excited to have you here on the podcast today.
Arasha
Thank you.
Bridger Weiniger
I thought Russia will come by, we'll have a nice conversation and move on with our lives. The podcast is called I said no Gift. So I was a little surprised when you kind of sauntered into the studio holding what I would describe as a very large, heavy gift.
Arasha
Right.
Bridger Weiniger
Is that for me?
Arasha
I mean, I thought it was, like, a sarcastic thing. You know, how, like, people are like, I'm having a party, but, like, no gifts. And it's like, don't be a dick. Bring a gift.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
So I just didn't want to be rude, so I. I did bring a backpedal. Yeah. Yeah. So.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, it is enormous, and it is heavy.
Arasha
It's very heavy.
Bridger Weiniger
Here, I'll grab it. Okay. This is an enormous. It's like a cardboard box with some beautiful blue tissue flying out of it.
Arasha
Yes. I was gonna, like. I told you, I'm a scared person. I worry so much. I overthink like crazy.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
So last night, I was thinking about how I was gonna wrap this box for you, and I was like, okay, we have this, like, gift wrapping, weight paper. We have this. We have this Christmas wrapping. I could wrap it up, I could tape it, but I don't know if I'll have time. And then I was like, maybe I'll just put tissue paper on top and it'll look lovely. And here that is.
Bridger Weiniger
I love that this podcast is doing this to people.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, no, listen, I got creative.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, should we open it here?
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
You hear the phrase vibe coding and might naturally assume the worst, but it turns out to be a genuinely useful tool for building a website. And with wix, Harmony, you can build a site quickly while still making it your own. WIX has introduced Wix Harmony, a vibe coder for websites that lets you type what you want and generate a site ready to use right away, complete with forms, payments, security and more built in. As you create business, power gets wired in. Wix will set everything up so that it's ready to go from day one and you can focus on doing your thing. And Wix Harmony doesn't require AI for everything. You can still click and edit anything manually or select an element and have Aria, your AI agent, make updates for you. It's a smart solution to the frustration of repeatedly prompting AI just to make small changes. Try it for free@wix.com harmony that's wix.com harmony Amazon Health AI presents painful thoughts I. Arasha
There's a lot to this. There are in fact, I think a few stages.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh my gosh.
Arasha
That we will hit.
Bridger Weiniger
Do they have to go in order?
Arasha
No, no, not at all. I think. I think there's like a stack of something right at the top.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
And I think we maybe either start or end with that.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, perfect.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
All right, let's get some tissue here.
Arasha
Yes, yes. Get it out of there.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Oh. Oh, I like this.
Arasha
Yes. Okay. I'm so glad you asked. Oh, my God. This is such a casual, natural transition
Bridger Weiniger
fest pool with the rasha want to be. Oh, is this a new podcast?
Arasha
It is.
Bridger Weiniger
Has this launched yet?
Arasha
It did. It did.
Bridger Weiniger
This is so exciting.
Arasha
It just launched. Truly so, so new. And this is my formal request to have you on.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, my God, of course.
Arasha
So these are the flyers from the show that we've put up around town. It's a call in confession show.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
And anybody can call that number and leave a dirty little secret.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got to get a phone number for this show. Oh, Ellis, get on it. Get us a phone number.
Arasha
Come on, Ellis.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, so people call in and leave secrets.
Arasha
Oh, and they leave.
Bridger Weiniger
Have you gotten some. You're gonna get a. Like a murder confession. Oh, you are just asking for that.
Arasha
So. So I have a lovely, lovely team that is the ones who go through all the calls.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
So we. We put. I sort of put these flyers up around town. I put up some social media to promote the show and everything, and we got. Currently, we're at about 16,000 confessions.
Bridger Weiniger
What a disaster.
Arasha
What a catastrophe of confession.
Bridger Weiniger
How do you get through that?
Arasha
I mean, listen, we love our interns. We love our interns. So they screen and pick out the craziest ones and then play them live for me and a guest that's embraced.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I've gotta. Come on.
Arasha
You have to come on.
Bridger Weiniger
Come on. When a monkey calls and says, it took a baby.
Arasha
This was crazy. I really regret doing this. I shouldn't have done this, but I took somebody's brother.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, this is very exciting. Well, people will need to listen to this.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
And should I say the phone number on this podcast?
Arasha
Absolutely. You sure can.
Bridger Weiniger
You might as well throw some more into the 16,000.
Arasha
Sure, sure. I mean, listen, you brought up the podcast. I didn't say or do anything.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, my God. And now I'm seeing what's underneath it, and I. We'll get to this in just a moment.
Arasha
Sure.
Bridger Weiniger
But the phone number, listener, if you want to call and leave a secret, is 213. 421-1964. Okay, very exciting.
Arasha
Perfect way to say it.
Bridger Weiniger
Speaking of these telephone pole things you staple on, I saw somebody going around Highland park that did not look like an official today. A man with a beautiful long, gray ponytail ripping all of the signs off.
Arasha
Yes. Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Have you seen this guy before?
Arasha
No. Right. Me talking. That's my dad. That is my father. Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
This guy didn't look like he was from the city or anything. I was like, who is this?
Arasha
Oh, interesting. Okay. Because what I did learn is that some neighborhoods, it is illegal. Oh, put stuff on.
Bridger Weiniger
Why cares?
Arasha
Come. Surely there's got to be crazier stuff going on that you have to attend to. No, but apparently in a few places, including, I think, North Hollywood and Studio City, maybe a couple of the places that not put that stuff up. Okay, now, East Hollywood, staple, tape, paste.
Bridger Weiniger
Throw them on the sidewalk anywhere you want. Yeah.
Arasha
And I'm sure there's lots of other options, but I learned that as we were kind of putting them up is. I was like, why aren't there any on these?
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting.
Arasha
And I was like, oh, looks like we have to actually check signs because
Bridger Weiniger
there's some neighborhood busybody going around taking them off, like this guy.
Arasha
And I'm like, sorry, you hate community and podcasts. Right. You hate promotion. Got it.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, that's very interesting to know. Well, everyone, keep your eye out for a man with a long, gray ponytail. He's coming for your signs.
Arasha
Yeah. And he hates Festool.
Bridger Weiniger
Yes, he hates Festool.
Arasha
He's like, fuck this show.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, well, it seems like we have a lot to look at here in this box. Okay, listener and viewer, you may not be aware of what's going on here, but this is a box literally full of what seems to be perfumes and lotions. And. Okay, first of all, we've got something called Murad Acne Control Retexturizing Body Pads. Is there something to say before we get into all of these?
Arasha
There absolutely is, because. Right.
Bridger Weiniger
There are so many items.
Arasha
There are a lot of items. And here's the thing. I'm gonna say this in the most positive and best way that I know. You know, as I'm sure you relate. Right. We receive so many kind gifts.
Bridger Weiniger
Sure, sure.
Arasha
And. And, you know, oftentimes from brands, you know, that are, like, you know, releasing new lines, new launches of their own, and a lot of times, right. They'll tap on people like us to help promote them.
Bridger Weiniger
Want to try this?
Arasha
Yeah, they'll ask us to try it, and they'll. And they'll send over that. That. Good, good, good, free pr. And let me just say this loud and proud. I am so thankful. I'm so blessed, and I'm so grateful. However, I have an abundance.
Bridger Weiniger
This is unbelievable.
Arasha
I've got a lot, and I want to share the wealth of some of these lovely brands.
Bridger Weiniger
This feels like it could. Just this amount of different skin products could absolutely burn you Into a skeleton.
Arasha
Right, Exactly.
Bridger Weiniger
Use all at once.
Arasha
I can't. Yeah. It's a little stressful for me to feel like I need to use them every single single day in order to. You know.
Bridger Weiniger
That's not like a consistent regimen.
Arasha
Exactly, Exactly. So I do use all of these. I just use the first one that they've sent, and I'm still on that. I'm still on the first one that they've sent, and I don't want these to expire in any way, and I want to share them with my new good friend Bridget.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm looking at something called a hair body and linen mist. We won't say the brand, so we can say whatever we want about it, but I feel like if something is for your hair, body, and for fabric, we're getting into some dangerous territory.
Arasha
It's giving head and shoulder and knees and toes.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. We're a little like, what? Which of these will it damage the least?
Arasha
Right. We're gonna need. We're gonna need one focus point.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. Because if I can put it on my rug, I don't know that I'm crazy about putting it in my hair.
Arasha
Absolutely.
Bridger Weiniger
I mean, it is a gorgeous. Again, we won't say the name. Model.
Arasha
Yes. And can I at least say this, though? It's a celebrity brand.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, it is.
Arasha
And that tells you a lot.
Bridger Weiniger
That tells you everything you need to know about the fact that it does. Does it? All this could probably be used as, like, windshield wiper fluid or something.
Arasha
And listen, this is for everybody. This is for the team. Okay? Everybody's gonna get a look in this box. If you're like, wait a minute. Free pr. I am sharing.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got something called a Be tight lift and firm booty mask. I'll put that on now.
Arasha
Now, that one I'm not sharing with anybody. Except that one is for you. And I thought you could apply it, you know, on camera.
Bridger Weiniger
This would be a good name for me. Be tight.
Arasha
Be tight. Be tight. Not monim. Be tight.
Bridger Weiniger
Be tight. Okay, so we've got. I mean, and then we've got. I mean, we're just listener. It's kind of. Have you gotten anything where you tried using it? And it was like, oh, this was a big mistake.
Arasha
So. Okay. Okay. So there's a lot of skincare up top. Underneath is a lot of makeup. Oh, okay. Eyes peeled. I know. Huge. Which I. I'm not. I'm not saying that I'm not into this. It just personally isn't great for me. But the brand, too Faced.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
Shout out. Too faced.
Bridger Weiniger
Too faced.
Arasha
Okay. Yeah, yeah. T O, O, O.
Bridger Weiniger
We're good, we're good.
Arasha
I know they send me their, like, new, like, makeup. They like always drop new, like, lip gloss or new blush or whatever.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
They specifically do a lot of lip injection stuff, so stuff that's gonna make your lips a little plumper.
Bridger Weiniger
So at home. Lip injection at home.
Arasha
Right. So no needles or anything. It's just you put a gloss on, but then it gives you just a little bit of a burn.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh.
Arasha
And you know, some people like the burn.
Bridger Weiniger
Right? It feels like something's working.
Arasha
Sure. Or, you know, they want to feel something.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
I don't want to.
Bridger Weiniger
To me, that. That makes me think, oh, do I call poison control? Have I done something that will be irreversible?
Arasha
Right, Right. And listen, two faced, like, comment. If you're like, girl, that's not supposed to happen. Maybe it's me, maybe I'm the problem. But for me, I don't love it. I know some people are like, it works for me. Or like, I need the plump or beauty's pain. Whatever, do your thing. I just feel as though I have enough juicy on my lip right now. I'm gonna be okay with that. But I did supply it for you. I did give you that just in case you choose to go on.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, when I hear Two Face, the only thing I think about is the Batman villain whose face is heavily scarred from acid being thrown on. So then I start thinking is this, that could be an interesting new origin story for that villain. Just using some sort of new facial product.
Arasha
We have to write that sketch. He's like, in the hospital and he turns over and the guy. And the guy.
Bridger Weiniger
I was just trying to plump my lip.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, yeah. And he's like, well, it didn't work. Cause you didn't try Two faced. Which, by the way, so grateful. So grateful.
Bridger Weiniger
So. But it just. You don't like the burn.
Arasha
Basically, I just don't like the burn. But that, again, could be a me thing.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, so this is a product. What celebrity does the thing called Being French?
Arasha
So it's Frenchy.
Bridger Weiniger
Frenchy.
Arasha
Frenchie. And that's Ashley Tisdale. That's my girl, Sharpay. So we gotta show a little respect. Cutie branding. Cutie branding. And let me say, I love their lotion.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, Good lotion.
Arasha
Good lotion. And shampoo and conditioner.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting.
Arasha
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Love that stuff.
Bridger Weiniger
Right?
Arasha
But again, it's like I got three, four rollers or perfumes, and it's like
Bridger Weiniger
glow on perfume oil. What does that even mean?
Arasha
What Glow on.
Bridger Weiniger
Ashley.
Arasha
Ashley. Ashley. Let us know.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. This is. This is just a Vaseline product.
Arasha
Vaseline.
Bridger Weiniger
Another vascular partner.
Arasha
Yes. Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
What is this? It's.
Arasha
I think it's like some shiny lotion. Right. See, I'm doing you a favor. We're shouting out so many brand names. They are going to come onto the.
Bridger Weiniger
This is going to just. Yeah, Yep.
Arasha
Make sure good product placement right there. There you go.
Bridger Weiniger
Vaseline, Provita, B3. So the burn thing didn't work out. Have there been. Outside of things that have been sent to you, have you ever had a bad, like skincare product or something? Something you can.
Arasha
Well, again, I just think of something else that was my fault. I got a bath bomb once from Lush, I think.
Bridger Weiniger
Right. Love Lush is the place you go in and everything's shaped like food.
Arasha
Yes, yes.
Bridger Weiniger
You go in like a candy store thing.
Arasha
Yes, Candy store. It's a great vibe and everybody there is so kind and always like, did you want to wash your hands?
Bridger Weiniger
I love the washing of the hands.
Arasha
I did want to wash my hands. I got a bath bomb there once and. No, actually I got sent this bath bomb. Oh, no. Oh, Lush. Lush sent me a bath bomb.
Bridger Weiniger
This could be like a male bomb. This is like some sort of promotion they could be doing.
Arasha
So this was why it was hilarious actually, is cause it was a Shrek collab. It was Lush x Shrek.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
So they sent me like a donkey bath bomb, right.
Bridger Weiniger
And I was like famously good smelling animal.
Arasha
Oh, yeah. And I was like, absolutely, I'm gonna use this. And it did smell incredible.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Was it shaped like a donkey head?
Arasha
It was shaped like donkey's head.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
And so I put it in like the corner of the. Of my bathroom. And I remember just waiting a really long time before I used it.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, yeah. You wanted a special occasion.
Arasha
I wanted a special occasion. Little did I know that, you know, you shouldn't wait that long.
Bridger Weiniger
Do they expire?
Arasha
Apparently.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, what are they made out of? Egg color? Dairy?
Arasha
Something interesting. Something that grows mold.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, no.
Arasha
And if you don't check properly and you just think that those are fun birthmar on donkey's head and you just bathe in it anyway.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, no.
Arasha
You will get these like red like almost like zits all over your body. I remember because I'm like, I don't have any. I don't have too many, like blemishes or pimples on my like body itself. And I remember one time coming out of the shower, and there was just a big one on my torso. And I was like, what's that? And okay. And my boyfriend's a nurse, so I sent him a photo and I was like, what's going on with me? Like, is this the end? And he was like, okay, this has to be some sort of, like, allergic reaction or like, maybe some, like, laundry detergent situation. So we, like, switched out to the detergent and all that. It was just getting worse over a couple of days. Like, it would show up on my back, on the, like, on my shins, calves. It would just show up everywhere. And I was like, like, I'm gonna die.
Bridger Weiniger
I would be so terrified.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
But then I think flesh eating disease. Oh.
Arasha
Oh. That's how we figured it out, actually. Then there was another thing in there that they had sent me, like, a smaller bath bomb or something, and I had found it in my drawers and I like, antidote. And I was like, oh, like, I'm gonna use this bath bomb or whatever. And before I did, he was like, wait, let me look at that. And he was like, there's mold all over this. Don't use it.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, no.
Arasha
And I was like, but this is what Lush sent me. Lush extract. Do you think there's something with the Lush X Shrek? And he was like, yeah, you 100% just bathed in mold.
Bridger Weiniger
This is very Shrek, though. Very swampy.
Arasha
Right? I was like. I was trying to be like Shrek.
Bridger Weiniger
It was true to the brand.
Arasha
Exactly. So I guess I did something wrong. So Lush. I waited too long. Please send me the next collaboration. I'm so grateful.
Bridger Weiniger
I would never guess those could go bad like that.
Arasha
Thank you.
Bridger Weiniger
I feel like with a lot of soaps and lotions, you just kind of think this will be good forever.
Arasha
And that is the reason I've brought all of these to you today. Because I cannot in good conscience just let these be molding away.
Bridger Weiniger
All right. You couldn't let Bio dance collagen peptide eye patches go bad.
Arasha
Of course not. I know that. There's so many beautiful bodies and souls that need that stuff.
Bridger Weiniger
We love bio dance.
Arasha
We love a bio dance where you have your biological parents and you all get together and you do a little dance. It's a bio dance.
Bridger Weiniger
No, I do like a lush. I like going in a lush and getting my hands washed and then paying for nothing and leaving.
Arasha
Oh, yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
I did go to, like, an off brand Lush in Palm Springs once. And the woman that washed my hands, I think I may have been the last person to see her alive. She seemed like she was headed into the desert to be killed or something. There was a very. There was a scary energy happening.
Arasha
That is Palm Springs. Like, shop owners is. They're like, this is my one day. You're like, what does that mean?
Bridger Weiniger
No one knows where I am.
Arasha
Right.
Bridger Weiniger
Goodbye.
Arasha
You're like, I'm pretty sure we're in Palm Springs. Got it.
Bridger Weiniger
But I did get my hands washed. And good for her. And thoughts and prayers for her family, I suppose.
Arasha
Yeah. Because then she.
Bridger Weiniger
Hope we find your daughter.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
There was like a very. I think that she was on speed or something. I don't know why she did that before her shift.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
But it was an interesting.
Arasha
Listen, everybody needs a vice, especially these days. I've been saying it. Find it.
Bridger Weiniger
Is there something to get you through the work day?
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Let's see here.
Arasha
Yeah. I mean, I think that's also more bio dance.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm gonna say. I like the bio dance. Their branding is very nice. It's very minimal. It's very medicinal, but fun.
Arasha
And I think eye patches are hot, girl.
Bridger Weiniger
They are. And unless they're expired.
Arasha
Correct. Correct.
Bridger Weiniger
Then God knows what's gonna happen.
Arasha
Walk in, like, with eye patches, the next place you have to be, and
Bridger Weiniger
everyone's like, he's got somewhere he's gotta be.
Arasha
That is a hydration king. It's a good look.
Bridger Weiniger
There's a. I mean, there are just literally so many. We've got more acne control. We've got algae body oil.
Arasha
Okay, Interesting.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
And body oil, like, what does body.
Bridger Weiniger
What is the. That's something you put into the bath. Or is this something you put after so you're greasy?
Arasha
I think you put it on before. But also, that could be a whole blatant lie.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
Because you put, like, hair oil like, 10, 15 minutes before you wash.
Bridger Weiniger
Right. Kind of a deep conditioning.
Arasha
Yeah. Yeah. What's that say? Am? Pm. What's the deal?
Bridger Weiniger
It just kind of says put it on dry or damp skin. That's it.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
So it's a little like, we don't know what the product is. And you don't either. Just try it.
Arasha
No, no. But, hey, we're grateful.
Bridger Weiniger
We're grateful. We're absolute. We've got Kiehl's. We all know. Oh, sunscreen. Now, this is something good for me. Oh.
Arasha
Oh, honey, I got a ton of sunscreen in there.
Bridger Weiniger
And this expires in July, so I've got a couple. I could have a fun half of a summer.
Arasha
See? And I definitely Was not gonna use it up by July. So that's great.
Bridger Weiniger
This is perfect. I'll take that to the pool.
Arasha
Okay. Oh, that's going to the right of the laptop. So that's what we're keeping. Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got more Vaseline. Supple and soft. Everyone wants to be subtle and subtle.
Arasha
But listen, I mean, like, look how big these bottles are. Where is a girl gonna store this?
Bridger Weiniger
Would last a lifetime.
Arasha
That's what I'm saying.
Bridger Weiniger
It's too much.
Arasha
And there's another one in there.
Bridger Weiniger
Vaseline is just giving it away.
Arasha
I'm telling you.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got marad. Oh, this is an spf. Okay.
Arasha
There's about four more of those. They all have a different color. Okay. Right at the laptop.
Bridger Weiniger
SPF is important for me. Jergens. I know Jergens Deep conditioning Shea and cocoa butter blend. This is a Don't put special value. That's. Someone's got to talk to the Jergens people. You put special value on your bottle. People are not going to buy for a skincare. They want it to seem expensive, fancy. Yes. This seems like. And I'm not speaking for you, I'm speaking for myself.
Arasha
Absolutely.
Bridger Weiniger
Jergens. This makes it seem like garbage. Okay, so we'll put that here.
Arasha
Okay. That's going to the left.
Bridger Weiniger
Garnier. We all love Garnier.
Arasha
Garnier. Fructis.
Bridger Weiniger
This is a curl construct creation mousse,
Arasha
in case you wanted to switch up everything in your life.
Bridger Weiniger
I want to define my curls.
Arasha
And don't we all.
Bridger Weiniger
With no way down.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Extra strong hold. You can go stronger, though. This is the three square. You can go up to five squares.
Arasha
It's three out of five, right? Yeah. You just seemed like a three out of five.
Bridger Weiniger
Right. I want a little bit of. A little bit of movement, you know?
Arasha
Okay. Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. So you wanted a four. That's gone to the left. Sure, sure, sure.
Bridger Weiniger
Marad. We know Marad.
Arasha
Yep, yep.
Bridger Weiniger
We're gonna name everything in here. We've got Boy Smells.
Arasha
Boy Smells. Boy Smells again. I love this one, but I have another one.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, you do like this one?
Arasha
I. I do. I mean, I like it.
Bridger Weiniger
Is it a perfume?
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Boy Smells. Rosy Cheeks. That sounds like a name of a bad superhero or something. Or detective.
Arasha
It's Rosy Cheeks.
Bridger Weiniger
Boy Smells. Rosy Cheeks.
Arasha
Yeah. That's the full name. It's nice.
Bridger Weiniger
It does smell. Okay. And this could. I guess this could be used by anybody because it's Boy Smells and it's Rosy Cheeks.
Arasha
Exactly.
Bridger Weiniger
We'll put that in the middle.
Arasha
So make that. Well, you will.
Bridger Weiniger
Now we have something called a Huda Boot. Huda Beauty. Not a Huda Booty.
Arasha
Now, this brand, I genuinely. I mean, obviously with all of them, but this brand. This brand.
Bridger Weiniger
This is a makeup.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're getting into makeup.
Bridger Weiniger
Easy Bakery.
Arasha
Huda Beauty. And I feel every time I say that out loud, I feel like it's also necessary to clarify. I don't know if anybody in here watched the most recent season of Love Island. It is not that Huda.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh.
Arasha
It is a different woman named Huda. And this is. This ties so well to what we were talking, because you would think Hooda, that's a mononym situation.
Bridger Weiniger
But they kind of came up at the same time.
Arasha
Yep. Not the same person.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, no. I bet whoever's in charge of Huda Beauty is, like, we might need to think of a new name for the product.
Arasha
No. And they did cut ties. They did cut ties. They partnered, and then they cut ties.
Bridger Weiniger
Did they really partner?
Arasha
Partner for, like, you don't partner with
Bridger Weiniger
a Love island person. What are you talking about? Asking for trouble?
Arasha
They warned them, and they did it. They did the whole cutie, like, we are not the same person trend.
Bridger Weiniger
You would be better off partnering with someone who just crawled out of the sewer.
Arasha
Partner with us. That's the real answer. And genuinely, they do. I love Huda Beauty.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
Everything they send me is incredible. But again, there's just a lot that I want to share.
Bridger Weiniger
There's only so much in the community.
Arasha
There's only so much powder.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got more of it. The Easy Bakery Bake.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Now we've got two of something here. This is called a milkshake. Coconut cream. I'm speaking to the entire skincare and beauty industry right now. I do not like when food is brought in because it's. I like to eat things. And when things look or smell or refer to food and they're not, it's just. It's disappointing. It's confusing.
Arasha
Sure. Well, hear me out, though. These are also fragrances, though.
Bridger Weiniger
Could spray it in your mouth.
Arasha
So you want to, like, you know, be eaten up.
Bridger Weiniger
Like, I'm always looking to be eaten up.
Arasha
I'm always trying to get eaten up. Literally, that's my entire brain.
Bridger Weiniger
What does this smell like? It's like a moisture mist for body. And it's milk. Coconut milkshake. So it's gonna smell like tanning salon.
Arasha
Give it a whiff. Give it a whiff.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, that's not. Oh, that's a honey and orange blossom. That's a little more sophisticated.
Arasha
Okay. It's going to the back of the laptop. We're not touching those ever again.
Bridger Weiniger
Look how much easy. Okay, we're leaving a lot of this Easy bake.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lots of easy bake.
Bridger Weiniger
Uh huh. Then we've got Superfood, Air Whip, Moisture cream, Kale and Spinach. Oh, youth to the people.
Arasha
And look at. See this is another thing we have yet to. I mean we kind of talked about it with biodance. Like the aesthetics of all these products. It's so interesting which ones you choose to keep and which ones you choose not to.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
Based on what they look like.
Bridger Weiniger
Literally what they look like.
Arasha
Like they gotta be pretty.
Bridger Weiniger
That's half of the thing. Hats. What is your like nightly skincare routine?
Arasha
Okay, so shout out. Bio Dance actually.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, interesting.
Arasha
They sent me something.
Bridger Weiniger
I've gotta find my bio. I'll find that later.
Arasha
Yes, the pink and purple right there. Those eye pillows.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, the ones that I identified. Okay. They're going the keep.
Arasha
Yes, you should keep those pile they sent because I used to be a very good skincare girly. AM PM. I was on that routine like 40 steps. Yeah. But then sometimes you're like, like I'm tired.
Bridger Weiniger
Like I don't know how people do it surely.
Arasha
Like I mean, listen, I did it for a couple years and I'm like how long is that going to ride? Cuz I'm kind of riding it a little bit. So now for me it's a little bit of I need ease in my routine. I need something that's going to be simple and that's also just not going to take a bunch of time. It's just going to be like oh, I just brushed my teeth, I'm about to go to bed. What? What's something quick I can do?
Bridger Weiniger
Right? Right.
Arasha
Biodance sent me these like jelly mix.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I like the sound of a jelly mist.
Arasha
Jelly mists. Literally just like a spray. So again there's no like tappy, there's no mix anything. And literally all you do, they say it's the first step of the skincare routine. You just spray it all over your face and just let it set.
Bridger Weiniger
Your skin's amazing.
Arasha
Oh my God. Thank you so much.
Bridger Weiniger
Biodance.
Arasha
Biodance. That's all I've been doing.
Bridger Weiniger
That's what you do. That's all you do.
Arasha
I just do like a hundred sprays and I go to bed. Wow.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Bio dance. Reach out.
Arasha
Reach out to your biological parents and get. Get down on the dance floor.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, so then we've got Milkrx Advanced Better Aging Cream. Some sort of polypeptide complex from Beekman.
Arasha
Right.
Bridger Weiniger
And they've been around since 1802. We all know that.
Arasha
Sure. They've been saying words that we all understand forever.
Bridger Weiniger
We've got a Rosafa Silky Perfection Pearl Fection. Okay. Instant plumping. M'. Kay. We'll see.
Arasha
Listen, if these are your goals, these are the products you grab. Anybody? Anybody? I've peaked. Ellis. Ellis is up on their feet coming to get that exact plug.
Bridger Weiniger
The next recording of this podcast, my face will be fully melted off.
Arasha
Yeah. You're like. So I tried it.
Bridger Weiniger
I will have blinded myself. My teeth will be, like, shattered. It's gonna be okay. We've got more Superfood skin drip.
Arasha
Look at that cutie.
Bridger Weiniger
What's this little thing here? Oh, that's like. It's kind of a pear shaped keychain.
Arasha
Keychain. Yeah. See? Okay. So Huda Beauty, they send. Every time they send me a purse, which. The last purse.
Bridger Weiniger
Every time. How many times?
Arasha
Oh, no, truly, they are. I'm obsessed with them. I'm obsessed with them. I am obsessed with them. They send me a freaking purse.
Bridger Weiniger
Wow.
Arasha
They send me keychains and they send me, like, all their powder and their blush and, like, lip stuff.
Bridger Weiniger
Wow.
Arasha
And I'm like, I love the purses. Definitely going to have an abundance of purses. Can't have an abundance of keys.
Bridger Weiniger
And yet you didn't bring me a purse.
Arasha
And yet.
Bridger Weiniger
What's this? This looks like a weapon.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
You'll never believe Cirque du Soleil has gotten into the perfume business.
Arasha
They really have. They really have.
Bridger Weiniger
And it looks like a pizza cutter.
Arasha
And you're gonna have to believe me on this one. I've got another one at home.
Bridger Weiniger
You do you love it that much?
Arasha
I love it. I love it. And I simply must share with you.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, it's a light scent.
Arasha
It's very nice. Nice.
Bridger Weiniger
It brings to mind Las Vegas.
Arasha
Sure.
Bridger Weiniger
Flying through the air. The circus.
Arasha
And how gorgeous is this bottle?
Bridger Weiniger
I know. That bottle is really something. They've gone all out.
Arasha
Iridescent, one might describe it as.
Bridger Weiniger
And again, a pizza cutter.
Arasha
And a pizza cutter.
Bridger Weiniger
That's going in the keep.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Now we've got a koozie from Herbal Oasis.
Arasha
Yes. Okay, so this is a brand that makes mushroom drinks and weed drinks. Oh, And I'm far too selfish to share those.
Bridger Weiniger
No, of course. That's a valuable item to have in the fridge.
Arasha
Exactly. And. And Also, I would have. There just weren't any more.
Bridger Weiniger
Right. You've consumed all of them.
Arasha
I've consumed all of it. I'm stoned right now. But I brought you a cutie cozy. A cozy. A koozie.
Bridger Weiniger
Is it a. Is a cozy? I never know. I'm always like, right before I say koozie, I think, is it a cozy?
Arasha
I always get scared saying koozie.
Bridger Weiniger
Koozie, you know, is it a.
Arasha
Doesn't it just give scary words?
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, yeah, of course. It's like, oh, I don't want to call it a. Yeah, I've got a koozie. Particular company muting our mics over there. They're like, cozy Koozie.
Arasha
It is koozie, though. It's koozie, though.
Bridger Weiniger
It's time to just find a better
Arasha
word, I have to admit. Okay, I see. I think I'm seeing sprite under your cozy. I don't know if we can reveal that. Is that true?
Bridger Weiniger
We've just said 50 different product names.
Arasha
But that is what you saw me getting up to get. Because it just looked so refreshing not to endorse.
Bridger Weiniger
Not to endorse podcasts, like, influencing people very quickly.
Arasha
Like, if you guys don't get 100 reach outs after this of brands being like. And we'd love Bridger to do an ad read. And we'd love an ad read.
Bridger Weiniger
Obey your thirst.
Arasha
Yeah, no, like, I got you. This is where we continue to just say, we are grateful.
Bridger Weiniger
We are grateful. Garnier Fruitis. Obey your thirst.
Arasha
Yep, yep, yep.
Bridger Weiniger
We'll just apply that to everything. O OSA Night dream. Night serum. The listener has got a whole list right now that they're just writing down. Okay, okay, okay, I'll try that. This is a bioretinol. Interesting.
Arasha
And I hear that stuff is important.
Bridger Weiniger
People love retinol.
Arasha
People love retinol.
Bridger Weiniger
But again, it's part of these whole things people do, like a 50 step thing and you have to wait weeks for results. I don't have the patience for that.
Arasha
No, no.
Bridger Weiniger
Or the time or the energy.
Arasha
And going to bed really sticky and gooey. It's fun sometimes.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
It's not always fun when you have a partner too. That's like, you know, in your space. You're kind of like, don't touch the thing. You know?
Bridger Weiniger
Right. It's just sort of ruins the end of the day.
Arasha
It does, it does. Sometimes maybe the hack is that you're supposed to do it like an hour or two before bed.
Bridger Weiniger
The scheduling.
Arasha
I know.
Bridger Weiniger
Who's Able to do that sort of planning in their lives.
Arasha
That's what I'm saying.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm busy watching tv.
Arasha
I'm on vacation.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm on vacation.
Arasha
I'm on vacation at a wedding.
Bridger Weiniger
At a wedding in Miami.
Arasha
Come on.
Bridger Weiniger
Let's see here.
Bowen Yang
Now.
Bridger Weiniger
This looks like a baby bottle. This is from l'. Oreal. We love l'. Oreal. Obey your thirst. Collagen moisture bounce serum.
Arasha
You're right. It is a cutie little baby bottle.
Bridger Weiniger
Be careful. Don't take this to a preschool or a nursery.
Arasha
Certainly not a lush. Because that smells like gifts.
Bridger Weiniger
This is like a. It's like a baby bottle. Yeah, I could easily. I'm not going to drink from it.
Arasha
And that's fair. I wouldn't do that.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, then we've got more Kiehl's retinol. Okay. And again, retinol is important.
Arasha
Retinol.
Bridger Weiniger
Noticing any expiration? Maybe I could spray some of this on my face at some point.
Arasha
It's giving more of a. Like a juice dispense more than a spray. Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, yeah. This is like an into hand wipe on face. Yeah, that's going in the keep.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
Lip gloss galore. Lip injection galore.
Arasha
Here we go with the lip injections. Can I dare you to try some?
Bridger Weiniger
You just told me it burns.
Arasha
Well, I want you to tell me if you burn two.
Bridger Weiniger
Should I try it?
Arasha
I need you to tell me if you burn two. Hear me out. I'll do a little bit too.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Yeah, you show me how to do it.
Arasha
Okay. Okay. You give me one and you keep one. And then we'll burn together.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm gonna say. Okay, you're going to do the cooling. Instant lip. Plumber. No, plumber.
Arasha
Whichever one works with my fit. You know the one.
Bridger Weiniger
This one works.
Arasha
Thank you.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I love that vest you've got on. Oh, thank you so much.
Arasha
Actually. Palm Springs.
Bridger Weiniger
Palm Springs. That makes sense. It's got a little general store. It's like cross stitching or something, right? Yeah, it's rifted in Palm Springs. Very cool.
Arasha
Thank you.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, and then I'm gonna try the. Let's see. I guess. Are they all just the same in different colors?
Arasha
Yep. Oh, well, I mean, different. Different color. Yeah. Yeah. Different. Yep. Different colors. Yep. That's the thing.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, okay. Oh, they have different things. Oh, okay. These. I've already decided on which one I'm going to use. I'll tell you the names and you tell me which. Which one I'm going to use. Stars are aligned. Sweet spot. Chocolate cream pie. Or wifey for lifey. You know which one I'm going to
Arasha
use Wifey for lifey. Let's do this.
Bridger Weiniger
What do you have there?
Arasha
I have hit send.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, that's free.
Arasha
Will do. So we're gonna try these. We're gonna put mouth to thing. Oh, my God. Mine's sparkly. Oh, okay.
Bridger Weiniger
And I've got kind of a.
Arasha
And then you get to sell these. These have our mouth juice.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah, exactly. Okay, so. So how much do I apply? I know, I'm. This could ruin me. This could ruin us.
Arasha
No, it's gonna be great. Okay, so here's what we're gonna do. We don't have mirrors, so I'm gonna go first and I'm just gonna let you tell me to make sure that I'm doing this right.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, I'll be your mirror.
Arasha
So you just kind of wanna tap a little bit.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
Here. Tap? Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, tap.
Arasha
Give it a good, like, thread.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, it's very dry.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Make sure you get in there. Oh, and here we go. Little burn.
Bridger Weiniger
I like the sound of it.
Arasha
A little bit of burn, but it's kind of nice.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, let me try this.
Arasha
Ooh, this one's like. Oh, my gosh. Okay, this one is. It tastes like middle school. I like, I definitely used to have a lip gloss that was literally just like this. Mm, yeah, yeah. Feel free to do a little rub. Oh, that's a great color on you. Uh huh. Uh huh.
Bridger Weiniger
Is it on?
Arasha
Oh, it's on.
Bridger Weiniger
Am I looking like wifey for lifey?
Arasha
Woo. We've got a little bit of a burn coming in.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm not getting a burn.
Arasha
It might be me. It might be me. Give it a few seconds.
Bridger Weiniger
Deep allergy.
Arasha
Give it a few seconds.
Bridger Weiniger
You break out in hives.
Arasha
Okay, it's coming.
Bridger Weiniger
It is.
Arasha
It's happening. It's happening.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting. Maybe I'm too strong for this.
Arasha
I might just also become like this though, in a few seconds, and that might be fun.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I'm feeling it, I'm feeling it. It's kind of a menthol burn, right?
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
Is that what that is?
Arasha
I feel like we just took an edible at the same time and you're like, it hit.
Bridger Weiniger
We're both hallucinating.
Arasha
I'm feeling it.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, I've got. I'm now wifey for lifey, so.
Arasha
Okay, that just made it to the left side. Are you keeping that?
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, no, I'm just so disoriented. More murad. Now we've got some sort of coupon oh, two faces really come strong.
Arasha
Thank. Yes. So I included the card in there so that we could properly discuss this lip injection situation.
Bridger Weiniger
No burn plumping. Well, there is burn, so we've been lied to.
Arasha
Right. I'm so sorry. Too faced. Please, please don't stop sending me things.
Bridger Weiniger
Plumps lips. Plumps lips instantly. Hmm.
Arasha
What do you think? Hmm? Anything? You guys seeing a result?
Bridger Weiniger
I don't think that that's a good idea to have your lips plump instantly. That, that is usually goes hand in hand with something like shellfish, something being wrong.
Arasha
Yeah. Well, do you remember the. What was the challenge where people would, like, like, inhale into, like, a bottle or something so that their lips would immediately inject? Do you remember that? You need to look that. You need to look that up.
Bridger Weiniger
Were people, like, were they falling off their face?
Arasha
No.
Bridger Weiniger
What was it called? The lip plump challenge.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah. Just. Just search Lip Plump Challenge and see, it's like, I think you would, like, put, like, it around a glass or something.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. Oh, the Kylie Jenner lip Challenge.
Arasha
The Kylie Jenner lip challenge.
Bridger Weiniger
Everything good starts with Kylie. Oh, boy. People are looking. Yep, They're. Oh, and I'm feeling the burn now too, actually.
Arasha
It's strengthening. Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
People are looking scared. This must have ended in tragedy. That's how most of these viral challenges do. Kyla looks great, though.
Arasha
Of course. I'm so sorry to have provided you with a burn, but truly, you're popping off right now. Like, the gloss is insane. You look incredible. I'm like, I don't know what I look like, but tell me it's sparkly.
Bridger Weiniger
You look fantastic.
Arasha
It, like, matches.
Bridger Weiniger
It continues to match with your vest.
Arasha
Thank you.
Bridger Weiniger
It's perfect.
Arasha
No, and truly, you found such a great lip color. This is awesome.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. I finally found. I've been looking forever, and it was wifey for lifey.
Arasha
Wifey for lifey Relief.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay.
Arasha
Yep.
Bridger Weiniger
More lip injection. Oh, it's more makeup. What's this?
Arasha
Okay, those are just literally the, like, powder sponges.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, these are good to have around the house. These spare matches, batteries.
Arasha
Absolutely.
Bridger Weiniger
They're the sort of thing that, you know, that's a keep.
Arasha
Yeah. It'll. It's like blot, set block.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah.
Arasha
Of course, occasionally you need something, they send a hundred.
Bridger Weiniger
The thing when these companies send you things, it's like, you do remember, you realize I'm one person. You've got to remember I'm one. I'm not. I don't have a warehouse.
Arasha
I'm one grateful person.
Bridger Weiniger
We love to get a Free thing. But again, one person.
Arasha
One person.
Bridger Weiniger
Save yourself on the shipping.
Arasha
Yes, yes. I just. One custom personalized box. One thing from every single brand in the world could be sent to us.
Bridger Weiniger
Right?
Arasha
That would be.
Bridger Weiniger
That would be great. That would be great. And we start our.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. And then this is a lavender milkshake. Yes. I think we've gotten every product here.
Arasha
Good.
Bridger Weiniger
This is.
Arasha
I think.
Bridger Weiniger
And then we have a loose lid.
Arasha
Oh, this is. That's for the retinol video. Oh, I was. Because I thought about it. For me, once you get it, you close the lid, and that's the game,
Bridger Weiniger
I think officially, you've brought me the most gifts ever on this podcast. Oh, my goodness. I mean, I can't imagine how many items this is.
Arasha
Okay, well, what gets to live on the set?
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, my God. That's up to our wonderful crew here.
Arasha
Yes. I mean, you guys can keep the one that burned you and me.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah.
Arasha
The one that would be a fun
Bridger Weiniger
memory that scarred us for lunch.
Arasha
Yeah. The one that's actively tingling on our lips just at this present moment.
Bridger Weiniger
The one that leads us to being unrecognizable.
Arasha
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. The one that's happening right now.
Bridger Weiniger
I feel it in my gums.
Arasha
Yep. So there's that.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, this is great. I'm so thrilled to have so many products.
Arasha
Oh, you're welcome.
Bridger Weiniger
This is really lovely.
Arasha
Yay.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm going to just slowly start applying these.
Arasha
Yes, absolutely. Let me know. I'll be back on the pod in about six to eight weeks.
Bridger Weiniger
Right. And you'll be like, wait, I thought Bridger hosted this. Who's this guy?
Arasha
Yeah. You look completely different. You have these huge curls.
Bridger Weiniger
I'm worried. Okay, we don't need to put them all away. Let's see. We'll just shovel. I like the sound that we're making. This is a good.
Arasha
This is good. This is good.
Bridger Weiniger
Story experience.
Arasha
That didn't make any sound.
Bridger Weiniger
People like. Yeah, people like to hear things open. Oh, I like this edge.
Arasha
That one was big. That one was big.
Bridger Weiniger
Like a little sound experiment.
Arasha
Okay. Okay. You ready for this? I'm gonna do a spray. We're gonna get a little scent up in this.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, that was so nice.
Arasha
That was big. That was big.
Bridger Weiniger
Fluffy. Okay. I think that was.
Arasha
Boy smells rosy cheeks. We love you. Let's see. I think saving ourselves.
Bridger Weiniger
This makes a good noise when you pull it out. Let's try it again. Oh, that was the burner.
Arasha
I love. That was the lip burner. You got too faced. Is never sending me Anything ever again. Literally. When I told. When I told my boyfriend that I was bringing all of his PR on set, he was like my publicist. And literally being like, okay, we'll just make sure that brands know that, you know, you are happy with all the stuff that you're sending.
Bridger Weiniger
Like, brands. No, she told me before this. I'm giving you a bunch of crap.
Arasha
Literally.
Bridger Weiniger
Don't put any of this on your body.
Arasha
You don't want to come off as ungrateful. So just make sure that you are continuing to reiterate that you are a blessed person. And I was like, you got it. You got it. I am so happy to receive all of these presents. Thank you so much. I am sharing my wealth.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I'm thrilled about these.
Arasha
Good, good, good.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, I think we should play a game.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
We're going to play a game called Gift or a Curse. I need a number between 1 and 10 from you.
Arasha
8.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay. I have to do some light calculating to get our game pieces. So right now you can promote, recommend, do whatever you want. I'll be right back.
Arasha
Okay. Well, we already talked about Festool because Bridger brought it up. I literally was like, we don't have to talk about it. But then Bridger just pulled out the flyers. Don't know where he got that. But yes, Festpool is out. You can follow estpoolpod on Instagram, TikTok, of course, YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts. We also, of course, do a video recording of it. So all the videos are up on YouTube. So go check that out.
Bridger Weiniger
Out.
Arasha
You can also check out. I did a comedy show that is now streaming and is now more of a comedy special that's out and about and it's called How I Met yout Mossy. We are about to tour, actually bringing it to New York next month and then hopefully a few other stops along the way later, which is a little bit of a tease and a sneak peek. So soon enough.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, that's great. Everybody find all of this. Find Arasha online. Etc.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, I'm excited for that show.
Arasha
Thank you. Not Arasha. Etc. It's actually just Arasha. It's just a mononym, actually, which.
Bridger Weiniger
No, I'm teaching a new last name for you.
Arasha
No, I like.
Bridger Weiniger
Et cetera.
Arasha
I like. Etc. That could be cute. It could be new.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah, it's kind of a fun new. It's kind of a. Yeah, I think that would work for you, Arasha.
Arasha
Etc.
Bridger Weiniger
That's your second chapter.
Arasha
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let me just call my agent. Yeah, I'M gonna have. I'm gonna head out.
Bridger Weiniger
Russia, etc.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, this is how we play Gift or a curse. I'm gonna name three things. You'll tell me if they're a gift or a curse, and why, and then I'll tell you if you're right or wrong. Because there are correct answers.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
You can lose, so I need you to be careful.
Arasha
Okay? All three, like, as a bundle, have to be.
Bridger Weiniger
No, I'll name one. You'll say if it's a gift or a curse and why.
Arasha
Great.
Bridger Weiniger
On and on.
Arasha
Incredible.
Bridger Weiniger
All right, this first one is from a listener named Sarah. Gift or a curse? When people bring Bluetooth speakers on a hike.
Arasha
No, no, no. Curse. Why cursed? Cursed because you're not alone on this journey, Queen. Like, if we're bringing the speaker, we better be bringing some headphones and the connecting kind that have, like the dongle that hangs off and somehow we're all connected to the same thing. That is a gift. This is a curse. Nobody asked. Nobody asked what wrong?
Bridger Weiniger
What gift I'm going to. Look, I understand conceptually, this is one of the most annoying things you can possibly do, whether you're doing it on a hike, on a bus, on the subway. There's a little part of me when somebody's doing this. I'm having a good time listening to their tunes. I think it's great. I think, bring it along. Blast your tunes at me.
Arasha
Me, you're on the hike and you're bio dancing. I'm biodancing like mom and dad. We love this music. This is la, baby. That's wild. That's a wild take.
Bridger Weiniger
Now this is something I would never do myself. But when somebody brings it along, it's usually a fun song we're hearing and we move on with our day. I think it's a gift.
Arasha
No, if a friend pulls up with that, I'm saying, thank you for bringing that. You better leave that in the trunk of your car. I don't even want it in the passenger seat. I want it to be hidden.
Bridger Weiniger
I think it's a gift. I mean, I know it's a gift. You're wrong. Okay, number two, this is from a listener named Cameron. Gift or a curse? Shoes on. Households.
Arasha
No, actually so much more cursed. Why cursed as hell? Listen, I'm Asian. You are gonna take your dirty gum filled, dirt, soiled hash slinging shoes off. Off. And you know what, Tua? We're not even being selective about it. It's not like, oh, I'm having people over, they can keep their shoes on. They can take their shoes off. There's more to being a cowboy than kicking your boots off.
Bridger Weiniger
Is that a phrase?
Arasha
I don't know.
Bridger Weiniger
That should be on a sign.
Arasha
I think I probably read it on a sign.
Bridger Weiniger
There's more to being a cowboy than kicking your boots off.
Arasha
Yeah. The monkey told me that he took my brother. He left the words. He said, here you go. And they were just stuck. They stuck with me.
Bridger Weiniger
So you're saying curse.
Arasha
Huge curse. Huge curse.
Bridger Weiniger
Correct. Correct. I can't fight against this, a household where everyone's just walking around in their shoes. What is that? You live in a public restroom? I don't understand that this has ever been a thing. It's really confusing to me that. But shoes off households are like a novelty to some people.
Arasha
And listen, sometimes you forget you. I get it. Or, like, you leave, like, a phone on a counter and you, like, walk a few extra steps. Totally.
Bridger Weiniger
There's room. There's. You can have some exceptions on occasion.
Arasha
Sure.
Bridger Weiniger
But the idea of everybody just running around in their shoes like it's a bus station.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
What are you doing?
Arasha
You got shoes on the couch.
Bridger Weiniger
You're filthy. You're disgusted.
Arasha
She's in the bed.
Bridger Weiniger
No, I can't imagine.
Arasha
I'm really sorry.
Bridger Weiniger
That's somebody who's going through something. That's somebody who's. They'll regret the choices they're making in that era of their lives.
Arasha
Exactly. And, you know, we'll.
Bridger Weiniger
Shoes in bed.
Arasha
Yeah. Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
That's a curse.
Bowen Yang
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
You've gotten one right so far. This is from a listener named Randy. Gift or a curse? When someone says, we've been busy as part of their pregnancy announcement, I love it.
Arasha
Listen, there's a reason why, like, those stupid little cliches are cliches. It's like, you know, there's nothing wrong with that one, is what I'm saying. Like, it's. It's the same energy as, like, you know, like, the husbands that are, like, you gotta keep the missus happy. Is that kind of tone that, like. Shut up. Don't come near me ever. But this one's okay. We've been busy. Yeah, you've been busy. You've been busy knocking boots. You've been busy reproducing. I get. I get it. You have been busy. You're telling me the truth, and you're doing it in a fun, silly, comedic way. I love you. I love your gift. I love your gift.
Bridger Weiniger
Correct. Gift. Great. Drag me into your sex life. Drag me kicking and Screaming into how you created your child. I need to imagine. Imagine this.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Give me a hint as to how it all happened.
Arasha
Totally.
Bridger Weiniger
It's sexy.
Arasha
I've been asking people, where are they getting babies? Nobody's telling me. They're just telling me that they've been busy. Yes, I've been busy.
Bridger Weiniger
We've been busy. Every pregnancy announcement should say something along these lines. Maybe just even we had sex. Yes, that's a good one for a baby announcement.
Arasha
Tell me exactly how this baby was conceived. That's what I want to know. Track it for me.
Bridger Weiniger
I think it's nice. I think it's nice, and I don't think there's anything wrong with it.
Arasha
Agreed.
Bridger Weiniger
It's a gift.
Arasha
It's a gift.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, you got two out of three. Pretty good.
Arasha
66%.
Bridger Weiniger
66% is a. You're soaring.
Arasha
Yay. I'll take it.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, we should answer a listener question. Would you help me?
Arasha
So why did I choose 8 earlier?
Bridger Weiniger
This is a question that happens occasionally on this podcast. Now, I have a list of thousands of suggestions at this point, and we do them randomly.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
So I do, you know, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. There's one. And it gives. It's very gracious of me, giving you some time to promote. Let's be honest.
Arasha
No, that.
Bridger Weiniger
Very gracious of me.
Arasha
Hey, I've got this. Are you ready? I am so grateful. I am so.
Bridger Weiniger
That's all I've been looking for.
Arasha
Yes. I'm just grateful to get the time to plug and promote. I love you guys.
Bridger Weiniger
There we go. That's the answer. And eight was a nice choice. Nice round number.
Arasha
Thank you.
Bridger Weiniger
All right, people are writing into I saidnowgiftsmail.com. will you help me answer a question?
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
All right, this is. Dear Bridger and malicious guest. That's rude. My partner and I are getting married in three months. Here's a link to our wedding website in case you'd like to purchase something off our registry. Okay, we're off to a extremely good deal.
Arasha
I get to rsvp, but guess not.
Bridger Weiniger
Tacky.
Arasha
Sure.
Bridger Weiniger
Tacky. Tacky. We're dealing with a tacky person, so just keep that in mind.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
We are both very excited about the wedding, and my family has been enthusiastically supportive. My fiance's family, on the other hand, has been totally disengaged, and they seem to not be thrilled about the whole thing. My fiance's parents seem unhappy in their own marriage. They once told me in front of my fiance that their children are the Only thing holding their marriage together. They never opened our save the date email. Okay. We. Well, that's their business and haven't commented on the invitation we sent them weeks ago. His sister is divorced and has taken every opportunity to bash our excitement about the wedding. She told us not to bother tasting wedding cakes because they're all horrible and we won't get any anyway. And she advised my fiance to hide his and to hide his financial assets from me so he wouldn't have to shell out if we get divorced. I know that these people are likely projecting their own unhappiness onto my relationship, but how do I deal with them? Is there any hope in convincing them that love isn't dead? Or at the very least, that they should be a bit more supportive? Thank you for your wise advice. Enraged and engaged in North Carolina.
Arasha
Okay, well, that was chic of you. Oh, I do like that.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, but that's not gonna make up for just how deeply tacky the rest of this was.
Arasha
Right? I mean, listen, we can't maybe send you anything on your registry, but. But if you want some two faces
Bridger Weiniger
bodies have quickly expiring.
Arasha
Yeah. If you want stuff that you have to use by July, we've got you.
Bridger Weiniger
This person, first of all, asks to give me to give them a gift and maybe you.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
They go on to attack their future in laws. The in laws who so nicely said that their children are holding the marriage together. I think that's nice.
Arasha
It's so sweet.
Bridger Weiniger
I think that's nice saying, you kids are so important that even though we despise each other, you're keeping it together.
Arasha
You're a sacrifice.
Bridger Weiniger
I think that's very nice.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
The sister is divorced. She's going through something. She apparently didn't like her wedding cake. So she's been through a lot of problems in her life.
Arasha
There is only one flavor that does make sense.
Bridger Weiniger
It makes perfect sense. And so she's attacked the parents and the sister. There are probably other family members she just didn't have time to attack. And so. And then she's trying to what, get deal with them? Well, stop being so horrible to them.
Arasha
Right. Have you ever heard of the let them theory?
Bridger Weiniger
Yes. Let them attack your relationship.
Arasha
Let them harass you.
Bridger Weiniger
Let them drag you through their own problems.
Arasha
Yes. Yes. It's so clear, though, that you're right. These people have been just like we recently were on this podcast. Burned.
Bridger Weiniger
Burned.
Arasha
And we're burned.
Bridger Weiniger
Recently. Currently.
Arasha
Currently we are actively being burned. We're performing through our burn, but our
Bridger Weiniger
lips have never Looked better.
Arasha
Absolutely. But we're snatched. We look awesome. Beauty is pain. They've been so burned so bad, they hate their own marriage. The sister got a divorce, so she hates marriage. They hate just the idea of love right now. And this person in the family is seemingly finding success sending probably cutie little save the dates. Or maybe they're tacky because that's what we think.
Bridger Weiniger
So I'm sure one of these things said, we've been busy.
Arasha
Yes. Oh, my God. And what a gift. So I would say, I mean, what's the. What's the partner's role in all this?
Bridger Weiniger
The guy sucks. He's a problem.
Arasha
Right. I just feel like if my family was the one behaving like that, you kind of have to be like, hey,
Bridger Weiniger
yeah, cut it out.
Arasha
Cut that shit out.
Bridger Weiniger
But the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. This is going to be a bad marriage because she's marrying someone from this family. They are bad at being married.
Arasha
Because if your family sucks, you suck.
Bridger Weiniger
We know how it works.
Arasha
Yes, that's exactly. That's a blanket statement. It's not. There's no nuance like that ever.
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
And so these two. I mean, I think, ultimately, why not just. You've got three months to the wedding. Why not end it now? I'm now looking at their registry.
Arasha
Yes. Or like, three months. Like, focus on your wedding then, girl. What are you doing? Thinking about, like, like, your fiance's family. Like, who does that?
Bridger Weiniger
Right.
Arasha
Who thinks about, like, literally anybody else except for themselves, leading up to your wedding.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. They want grapefruit spoons. I think I've actually given grapefruit spoons as a housewarming gift before.
Arasha
Why does it exist? Why does that.
Bridger Weiniger
You ever eaten a grapefruit? It's a beautiful thing to have a little spoon with a salt so it
Arasha
doesn't, like, get everywhere and stain.
Bridger Weiniger
It's just kind of the perfect thing that only does one thing.
Arasha
Okay, but you know what?
Bridger Weiniger
You can also defend your home with it. It's sharp.
Arasha
No, no. Who's putting that on a registry? Why is that on a registry?
Bridger Weiniger
Engaged and enraged. Well, it looks like they've asked for the world here. They want. I mean, this list goes on and on and on.
Arasha
Oh, my goodness.
Bridger Weiniger
I will say, it looks like they're also asking for some sort of card game. Let's see, a soap dish. Well, they're not getting any of this from me. Beautiful teapot, though.
Arasha
All the brands that have tapped in and are watching this episode, their ears might be Perking up.
Bridger Weiniger
Look at this. I'm gonna promote something called Emerson Creek Pottery because look how cute that teapot is.
Arasha
Oh, that is cutie. That is cutie. I went to Emerson.
Bridger Weiniger
Oh, interesting. This is a spinoff of Emerson College.
Arasha
Yes, Emerson. Emerson makes teapots.
Bridger Weiniger
They're doing teapots.
Arasha
They used to teach college courses.
Bridger Weiniger
Worthless. Yes.
Arasha
Stupid, stupid business idea.
Bridger Weiniger
Very bad.
Arasha
But this. They're taking off teapots.
Bridger Weiniger
Everybody needs a teapot. They have them on their wedding registries.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, I think we answered the question almost perfectly. I would say more than perfectly.
Arasha
We solved it.
Bridger Weiniger
And we were going through something at the time.
Arasha
Yes.
Bridger Weiniger
We were suffering.
Arasha
No. We are so selfless. Wow.
Bridger Weiniger
I think we did a nice job. We might have just saved someone's life.
Arasha
Gosh, I hope they have a wonderful wedding. I really do.
Bridger Weiniger
I hope that it ends soon.
Arasha
Yeah. And that they go on vacation, you know, while they're at their wedding. Sure. Yeah.
Bridger Weiniger
Get out of that situation. It's nasty.
Arasha
Just marriage in general.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. Well, I've got hundreds of items now. I'm very excited to kind of dip and try and test and burn. Thank you for bringing these. Of course, thank you to brands. Yes, ultimately, thank you, brands.
Arasha
Thank you, brands. Thank you. Shout out. Jergens, Vaseline, Garner, Fructis, Cirque du Soleil, l', Oreal, Murad, Superfoods, Bio Dance. Bio Dance. Okay. Kiehl's Too faced. Two faced. If you're still with us, Us Too face. If you're still with us.
Bridger Weiniger
Our lips are better than ever.
Arasha
We are hanging on and listen a little bit less of a burn.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah.
Arasha
Right now.
Bridger Weiniger
Yeah. It's like it's going down.
Arasha
It's going down. And I'm yelling, timber. And so let us know. Kesha, reach out, reach out, reach out.
Bridger Weiniger
Well, thank you so much for being here. I've had such a lovely time.
Arasha
Yes. This is great. And I better see you on that fest. Pool, couch.
Bridger Weiniger
Reach out.
Arasha
Out.
Bridger Weiniger
Reach out.
Arasha
This is.
Bridger Weiniger
Don't make me call the number.
Arasha
Okay.
Bridger Weiniger
Okay, listener, the podcast is over. I'm burning. I have to move on. Move on with your day. I love you. Goodbye. I said no Gifts is an exactly right production. Our senior producer is Ellis Nelson, and our episodes are beautifully mixed by Ben Tolliday. The theme song is by miracle worker Amy Mann. And we couldn't do it without our booker, Patrick Cotner. You must follow the show on Instagram at isaidnogifts. That's where you're going to see pictures of all these wonderful gifts. I'm getting and don't you want to see the gifts?
Arasha
When I invited you here, I thought I made myself perfectly clear. When you you're a guest in my home, you got to come to me empty handed. I said no gifts. Your presence is present enough and I already had too much stuff, so how do you dare disobey me?

I Said No Gifts! with Bridger Winegar
Release Date: May 14, 2026
Guest: Arasha
This lively and comedic episode of I Said No Gifts! features host Bridger Winegar and guest Arasha in a spirited, joke-filled conversation centered around rules (and rule breaking), travel tales, skincare overload, and the delightful chaos of exchanging (and unwrapping) a truly excessive number of PR gifts. The classic conceit of the podcast—guests who “dare” to bring gifts despite Bridger’s no-gift policy—yields hilarious, sometimes heartfelt, reflection on everything from vacation anxieties and animal encounters to the unbearable abundance of beauty products.
This episode delivers the perfect blend of silly banter, genuinely relatable annoyances, and loving mockery of modern life, with a particularly epic skincare PR haul filling the second half with product reviews, beauty horror stories, and a comic “burning” ritual. Both host and guest keep the laughs coming, never taking themselves (or weddings, or brand names, or podcasters named after numbers) too seriously.
