There are pressures that many of us are feeling. I'm with you. I could feel it, too. I'm in a season where I wake up some days and I instantly feel the overwhelm. Ah, sending my daughter off to college. I'm in a new country trying to build a new business, a new vision. I'm also preparing for like a. A talk at a convention. And man, it's. It's got me thinking a lot about it and just, you know, having to show up in ways that seem nearly impossible all at once. It's a lot. This season is a lot for a lot of us. And I find myself sitting and meditating and the only thing I can say to myself is, I can do this. I can do this. Four simple words. Yet, oddly enough, holding so much power. I can do this. You can do this. Can you say that with me? I can do this. I can do this. There's something so powerful about just reaffirming to ourselves that we are capable, that possibilities are ours, that no matter how we feel, we can do this. Maybe you don't fully believe it, but that's okay. You don't have to. Sometimes you just need to give yourself the possibility because you may have not done this before. Whatever this is for you, whatever has been on your mind, you know, you may be coming a parent for the first time and maybe doing it alone. Maybe you're changing careers, or maybe you've spent four, six, eight years studying something only to enter into a world that says, yeah, we don't have a job for you. The economy right now has its hands up in the air like, ah, sorry, we can't hold our end of the promise. The world is changing. The world is very different. Many of us feel these pressures. But I can do this. Remind yourself of that. I can do this. Many of us are standing, wondering what we're supposed to do. Maybe we're starting over, moving somewhere new, leaving something behind, Building something you've never built before and trying to figure out how to become the person who could hold the life you were asking for. And sometimes you're scared. I have moments like that. I'm not gonna lie. Let me be a little bit vulnerable. There are days, these days, I just sit while I'm drinking my tea and good poor tea, or a nice little spring green tea, and I'll be like, wow, I'm a little scared. It's been a while since I've actually said those words or, you know, truly felt that. But, yeah, I'm like, wow, I'm a little scared because sometimes I wake up and feel like I'm standing at a crossroads. Like, life can become incredibly beautiful or it could go terribly wrong. You ever been there where you just feel like there's, like, two different destinations for you and it just feels like a very defining moment? Ooh, defining moment. We're gonna do another podcast on that, and we don't know which one is coming. And that's the part that can really, you know, start to rock our nerves. Not knowing the uncertainty, the fact that you can't see around the corner. You can't guarantee the outcome. You can't guarantee the thing that you are trying to bring into this world. You can't guarantee that the person you're becoming will be enough for what life is asking you for. But you see all those thoughts, all that reminiscing, all that worrying, where do we bring it to? I can do this. Those four words, we remind ourselves. I can do this. You know, where the body goes, the mind goes. Sound body, sound mind. I always remind myself of that. Anytime I'm procrastinating or I'm afraid to do something, I'm thinking of something, I remind myself. Where the body goes, the mind will follow. When you're procrastinating about doing a task, just get your body to go do the task, and the mind will follow. If you're gonna go paragliding or bungee jumping, what happens when you're at the edge, about to jump? The mind is like, no, no, no, no, no. But once you Jump. The mind has nothing to do but follow. Where the body goes, the mind will follow. So when we say, I can do this, and then we just allow our body to make a step, the mind will follow. I can do this. I can take the next step. I can make the phone call. I can have the conversation. I can can sit with this uncertainty. I can learn what I don't know. I can ask for help. I can try again. I can get back up. I can rest when I need to. I can begin where I fell off. I can be scared. I can love again. I can do this. Remind yourself of that every time that feel fear starts to creep in. And that's what courage is. It's not the absence of fear. Courage is simply refusing to let the fear make every decision. You can be scared and go anyway. You can be nervous and do it anyway. You can doubt yourself and move forward again. Where the body goes, the mind will follow. You may be doubting yourself in the mind, but you take a step, you get emotion. The mind will have to follow. You can have no evidence that it's going to work and still take a step. I can do this. Remind yourself of that. I can do this. I can do this. And if you need some proof, go back into your beautiful memories of things that you did that you were unsure of. Moments where you thought you would be broken, but you rose again. You have the ability. I can do this. Let me tell you again, there are so many things I am overwhelmed by in this season. Talking like real time in this season. Every day, I feel it pulsing through my spirit and my nerves like never before. I haven't felt like this in years. Years, actually. This is some of the most foreign feelings I have ever felt. But I always have to come back to. I can do this. I can do this. Let yourself hear your own voice saying it and feel it. Because sometimes we're so busy listening to everything outside of us. The opinions, the expectations, the news, the economy, the worries. The people who don't understand what we're trying to do are the people who tell us what is realistic and what isn't. What we should be doing by now, who we should have become by now, that we forget to hear our own voice. Come back to your own sound mind. I can do this. And you don't have to do the next 10 years today. You don't have to figure out your entire life this morning. Let's stop overwhelming ourselves. You don't have to know how the story ends. You just have to meet yourself today. And then Tomorrow. And then you will meet tomorrow. That's enough. One step, then another, then another. And then sometimes you make a leap, and then sometimes the next step, it's tiny. And then sometimes the step is simply getting out of bed, opening the laptop, sending that email. And sometimes it's sitting down and finally admitting, I don't know what I'm doing, but I can do this for real. There's so many new things that I'm doing in life, you know, new country, new visions, new everything. And I remind myself, I can do this. And then we remind ourselves of how exciting it's going to be once we do this. And now we have this new evidence pouring into our confidence. So it's like, wow, life believes in us so much that is giving us these opportunities or responsibilities that we feel as a weight, but really it's life saying, hey, I want to see you expand. I want to see you expand further. Life believes in you. God believes in you. Because why God made you. God knows what's inside of you, giving you the opportunity to realize and see what is inside of you as well. I can do this. I can learn, I can adopt. I can change my mind. I can begin again. I could be a beginner at 40. I can make mistakes, I can bear. I can embarrass myself and still love myself. I cannot have all the answers and I can still move forward. I can do this. We can do this. That's the beautiful and terrifying thing about being alive, is that most of the things that make you nervous, you're gonna do for the first time. Your first day at a new job, your first child, your first business, your first big loss, your first time starting over, your first time falling in love, the first time standing in front of a room and saying something you actually believe in in front of, fuck, 500 people. The first time choosing yourself. The truth is, you just have to step into it. And when you do, remember, I can do this. I can do this. Not because we are fearless, but because we are willing. You're going to feel the fear. You are going to feel the fear. But where the body goes, the mind goes. Remember that we are willing. Not because we know everything, but we know we can learn, we can adapt. Not because we know what is coming. No, we're not psychists, but we could meet whatever comes, you understand that's the power. We don't need certainty to move. No, we don't need permission. We don't need everyone to understand. We don't need to know the entire path. We know. I can do this. I can take the next step. That's all. That is enough. The pressure in your life may just be great possibility, my friend. Remind yourself of that. Far too often we allow ourselves to be so overwhelmed, we forget what is happening, how we are unfolding and we are becoming. And that's why we are here. In hindsight, having this beautiful reminder. I want you to put both feet on the ground today at some point, and take a breath and just notice where you are. You are here. You are alive. You are breathing. I saw someone say, hey, if I offered you $10 million today, would you take it? Another person was like, yes. They're like, would you say, thank you? The person was like, yes. But what if I told you the condition to accept those $10 million means that tomorrow you would no longer be alive. Would you take it? The person said, no, of course. And then he said, that means that tomorrow is worth $10 million. Because you would rather choose tomorrow than and be alive then get $10 million today and not be alive tomorrow. Which shows the beauty of life, how valuable life is for us. We all want another day. We all want another step, no matter how tired we get. So we breathe into it and we have that gratitude and we notice where we are. We are here. We are alive. We are breathing. And we made it through every difficult day so far. Think about that every day before this day. You did it. There were so many moments in the past where you did not know if you can do this. But yet you are still here. That is proof. You are the proof. Your presence is the proof. And yeah, maybe we made mistakes. Of course we made mistakes. We are human beings. Oh, my God. The amount of mistakes that we all make. We are humans. Maybe we fell apart, of course, and maybe we had to start over. Yeah, maybe we have regrets. Of course that's a part of the human experience. But you are becoming. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. That's your mantra for today. I can do this. Repeat this self to yourself every day, all day, if you need to. I can do this. One more time. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this. There is possibility in my presence. There is possibility in the pressure. And it's not like you're even saying it to convince yourself. You are saying it just to remember something. Because within yourself, yourself knows, I can do this. I can do this. Whatever this season is asking of you, whatever life is placing in your hands, whatever you've never done before, take a deep breath. Look at it. In your mind, in your heart, in your spirit. And say, I can do this. I can do this. And picture yourself doing it beautifully. Not because you know exactly how it's going to work out. Not because you're never going to be afraid. No. Where the body goes, the mind follows. But because you trust yourself enough to meet life as it comes. One breath, one day, one step. I can do this. And that's what we needed to feel today. Because you don't know in hindsight, everything gonna be more than a ride. Thank you for the comments lately. It's inspiring me. Please leave comments, share it in your stories if you like. Really helps me with momentum. And yeah, I just love being here with y'.
