Man, it's beautiful, isn't is beautiful? It is happening for you, just not in the way that you imagined. I want you to picture this, okay? Imagine God. God itself comes to you, sits you down over a nice hot cup of oolong tea. And you know, God would have the finest of the fine oolong, the best. And God sits down with you and affirms to you that what you want, what you desire is happening for you. The love of your life is coming towards you. But first, yeah, you're going to have a few failed relationships, ones that hurt deeply, too. You may even have a heartbreak that takes 18 months for you to fully soften your heart again, to heal. You even lose yourself because you abandoned yourself in that relationship. You stretched yourself too far for somebody who couldn't even see the real you. They don't want to see the real you. And that regret, that regret right there chips away at your confidence for some time. It's going to take some time to pick yourself back up or God sits you down. He affirms, yes, you will be worth $10 million. But the first time you edge close to your first million, you're about to get there. Maybe you even touch that first million, boom, you lose it all. You even go into debt. You know, the economy changes, cash flow slows right down. And you go into a season of drought and deep regret, worry, uncertainty. You even lose hope for a while. And all you can think about was that 1 million you had. You were on your way to that 10 million. You know, that would be difficult, wouldn't it? But in that season of drought and debt, that's exactly where life needs you. That's exactly where God wants you, wants you in the regret, the worry, the shame, it's exactly what you need to feel. Because it is happening for you. The thing that you want is happening for you. The life that is Meant for you is happening for you, my friend, just not in the way that you imagine. Now, if God laid all of this out for you, just like how I explained it, would you still go for it if it was promised? If you knew the very things you desire are promised, but the way there is not what you imagined or necessarily wanted, would you still go for it? I know, for me, of course. Yeah, it's promised. Let's do this. A couple heartbreaks. All right, A couple failures. Cool. We can do that. That's just some nutrients for our foundation. The answer is yes. And I bet the answer for you would be yes, too. And what a beautiful thing that is, right? That life is happening for you. It is coming. It is on its way, just possibly in a very different way. You see, we often see limitations in our life as setbacks, as mistakes, as detours to our destination. But what if they were always a part of the journey to our destination? It's not even a detour. That was the only way to get there. Have you ever thought about that? It was never a straight or even a slightly curved line. It was like. It was more like a figure eight. You know, you go up and around and down and backwards and down and around and then forwards again. When you decide to have a great life, it does not mean that just beautiful, great, happy things are going to happen to you along the way. Because greatness requires a lot out of you to develop discipline, resilience, perseverance. And like, do you need discipline if you're extremely rich and comfortable and already have everything that you need? Not really. You would just melt in your comfort, indulge in your pleasures like a true Nepo trust fund baby. When is discipline normally initiated? When something requires it? When hardship hits, when purpose calls? When we want to build something, when finances are low, or when we're getting ready to invest, when the body is sluggish, or when a health scare comes to our attention and we have to change our ways, or when we just want to love our body in new ways, and then we got to cut the sugar and the processed foods, the smokes, the drinks, you know, what about compassion? What if the thing you require, what if the thing you want requires a certain level of compassion and grace? You may go through a season where everybody around you is living in their purpose, beautiful lies, posting it on Instagram. And you, you are struggling to get anything off the ground. And the only way to keep your head up is there's a certain level of grace, compassion and discipline. The thing you want in life requires a certain version of you. It requires a certain type of character, my friend. And all those attributes of that character, they are already in you. That's the beautiful thing. That's what I love. God did not make no mistakes. God planted everything that you need to succeed within you already, like a seed. But that seed requires water and light. And what is water? Water is our daily effort, our actions. And what is the light? That is the belief, and that is our faith. You have all that you need to succeed, my friend. Remember that. But what you need requires nourishment. It needs the attention, the light, and the effort. When you ask for a faithful, loving partner, you're going to go into a season of preparation, developing a foundation of self, love, of humility so you can admit when you're wrong. Maybe even a season of celibacy to overcome that lust. Not because anything's wrong with sex, no, but so you don't fall into the wrong hands because it is happening for you. It's not perfection we're trying to achieve. No, no, no, no. We're always in progress. We're always building. We're just developing momentum and we're simply building ourselves and molding our heart so we can receive. And once you're in that relationship, of course there's still growth to be had, but at least you're in a position now to nurture, maintain and grow and not watch it slip through your fingers. I always say you don't want nothing before it's time. You don't want nothing before your time. Divine alignment is what we're all about. This is why we are getting ready, so we can stay ready, so we don't have to get ready when the thing presents itself. Because it is happening for you, my friend. Know that. Don't lose hope. It is happening for you, just not in the way you envisioned it. You might have thought you would have had it done by 25 years old because you focused on how good it would be to have the thing. But rarely do we meditate on the hurdles and the ditches and the mountains we need to climb. How often do you think about losing it all on your way to gaining it all? Probably never. Why would we, right? But that is a reality that happens. That happens often for a lot of people. You know, they say often, you know, people who, you know, achieve wealth from, like, nothing, often it takes a few times of going bank bankrupt or losing it all. I listen to a lot of financial podcasts and, yeah, I've heard many stories of people of losing it all. It's a part of the journey. Sometimes when we hit rough patches, they do not have to be a signal that the dream is over. No, these pitfalls are actually a part of the dream. Failures that nurture our foundation, information for our progression. You know, I love what Pharrell said. Pharrell said, you aren't truly, like, hot as an entertainer unless you've reinvented yourself at least three times. Meaning, yeah, many people can get 15 minutes of fame, but the ones who build a career that lasts over 20 years will go through deep valley of despairs. They will fall off, they will go through tragedies, and then they will alchemize them and come back better and more in alignment. Nobody imagines having a hit song and then just falling off the next year and then taking 10 years to come back into the scene. No, everyone just pictures them breaking through and then climbing that mountain and, you know, staying at the top. But that's not how it always works. The failure was a part of the design. But we keep looking at our failures as proof that we're not enough, that we are not capable, when in fact, that setback was a part of the story. It was a part of the setup for the next step. My friend, do you understand that the heartbreak introduced you to parts of yourself you have been avoiding that season of uncertainty, developed something in you that comfort never could. This is what we often forget. But this is why we tune in in hindsight, so we can remind ourselves. But many of us, we judge an experience by what it gives us immediately. Did this move me closer to what I want? And if the answer is no, we call it a tragic failure. But life does not work like that. You know, some things move you forward by giving you something. Other things move you forward by taking away something. A relationship ends, a job disappears, a business fails, money gets tight, an opportunity falls through. Someone says no. And in that moment, all you can see is what you have lost. But something else is happening. It is happening for you. You are learning. You are adjusting. You are developing. You are getting rid of what no longer serves you. You are becoming more capable of carrying the life you are asking for. And that's the part that we do not see. We want the harvest, but we don't pay enough attention to our roots. You know, we want the million of dollars, but we don't think about becoming the person who can responsibly hold 10 million. And many of us, yeah, we want the relationship, but we don't think about becoming someone who knows how to communicate radical Honesty, how to listen, how to apologize, how to stay when things get uncomfortable, how to love without abandoning ourselves. Some of us, we want the platform or we don't think about developing the discipline to create when nobody is watching. Or we want freedom, but we don't always want the responsibility that comes with it. We want the life, but we don't always think about the person that life requires. And that person is built through experience. If you can reframe your mind and just see everything as an experience that is serving you for your highest good. As long as you keep your purpose and your vision centered. Yes, you will waver and you will backslide and you will lose yourself just to find yourself again. But reframe and see everything as an experience and you will be on your way, my friend. It is happening for you. You could read a hundred books about resilience, but nothing teaches you resilience like having a having to begin over again at 30. You can read about patience, but nothing teaches patience like waiting for something you cannot control or having some children, right? And you can study self love, but nothing reveals your relationship with yourself like being alone after a relationship. Life teaches you through experience. And sometimes the lesson comes disguised as a problem. Sometimes the lesson comes disguised as a problem. Did you hear me? And that's why I don't want us to rush through or rush to label, you know, a current season. Don't call yourself behind. Don't call it a failure. Don't decide that your life isn't working simply because it isn't unfolding according to the picture you had in your head. You may just be in the middle. And the middle is often messy. You know, it's like if you're writing a book or you're making a song and someone walks into the studio halfway, you, I. I know like anytime I'm making something I don't like to show people until I'm like past the messy middle because I'm like, you're not even going to understand what I'm working on. This thing sucks right now. And your life is the same way. The middle is where the identity you had starts to fall apart before the identity you're becoming has fully formed. The middle is uncomfortable because you don't have the old certainty anymore or the new certainty. You don't know exactly where you're going because the path is starting to look a little bit different. But it is happening for you, my friend. It is happening, remember? And that is a real part of growth. It could feel like failure, but it's transformation it all depends how you look at it and what you decide to do with it. If your life right now is asking you for discipline, discipline is the lesson. If it's asking you for patience, then patience is a lesson. If it's asking you to forgive, then forgiveness is a lesson. And if it's asking you to become financially responsible, that is the lesson. And you're going to be given experiences to be able to fully embody and learn those lessons. Life is always teaching us. It is a mirror. We learn through joy and we learn through pain. And unfortunately, we don't get to cherry pick the human experience. We're going to experience the full spectrum. That is just how it works. And the faster you stop fighting the lesson, the faster you can actually learn it. Your faith is in your ability to keep becoming and keep unfolding. And that changes everything, my friend. I always say, like, my greatest skill is just not giving up. And I'm dedicated to growing, you know, And I will backslide, I will detour, you know, I will shift, I will waver. But I am committed. I am committed to my highest self, and so are you. It is happening for you. A rejection does not destroy you. You learn. A failure doesn't define you. You adjust. A closed door doesn't end the journey. You just look for another entrance. And a delay does not mean denial. It means you keep on preparing. Your life can change dramatically in a few weeks or months. Maybe a couple years, too. We're all on our own timelines. But think about who you were five years ago. You didn't know everything that was coming. You didn't. You couldn't predict every person you would meet, those synchronicities, the places you would go, every opportunity that would appear, every loss you would experience, every loss you would learn. No. But yet it happened. And here you are. You are becoming. You are still learning, and you are still here. It is happening for you, my friend. That is beautiful. Can you say that to yourself today? It is happening for me. Maybe just not in the way I imagined. But we can take that next step. Do the work that's in front of you. Make the call, write the page, go to the gym, pay the bill, have the conversation, apologize, forgive, create, rest. Try again. And let tomorrow reveal itself. Because the path becomes visible as you walk it, my friend. As you walk the path and you have belief and faith, you illuminate the path and it starts to make sense. As you go, it starts to happen. Even if you can only see the next step. But that is enough for you to notice. Notice that things are starting to happen for you, right? The phone rings, the synchronicities happen. The email comes through, the right person enters your life. I've been having so many crazy synchronicities lately that even though I'm in like a little bit of an uncertain space, I can. I can notice the signs and I can notice how things are aligning so beautifully. I'm like, oh my God, it is happening for me. I just did not know it was going to happen in this way. And that is an ex. That is excitement. And when you can excite yourself in that way, follow that excitement. We need that. Hear yourself speaking and realize I actually believe what I am saying. It is happening for me. You're going to wake up one day, one morning, and realize you don't even think about that old heartbreak anymore. You walk into a room and you don't need everybody to approve you anymore. You look at your bank account and realize you become someone who knows how to handle money. And it is flowing abundantly. You create something and the world responds. That is happening for you. And that's the part we don't want to forget. The path isn't only struggle. No, things will go beautifully right as well. You will have days where the work feels effortless. You'll meet people who make you grateful you didn't settle for the wrong ones. You'll meet people who want to support you. You'll experience love that feels peaceful instead of confusing. And you'll make money doing something you actually care about. You'll wake up excited about life again. And you'll laugh until your stomach hurts. It's all happening for you, my friend. It is happening for you. Maybe just not in the way you imagined. Because you will travel somewhere you always wanted to go. You'll sit across from somebody you love and realize they used to dream about having this. You'll get the yes. You'll get the opportunity. You'll get the breakthrough. And when these moments come, receive them. Do not rush past them. When they come, we have to receive them. Be in gratitude. Indulge in them. Indulge in them. Take them off our to do list or our goal list and be like, I did that. It is happening for me. Many of us, what happens is something good happens and we think something wrong is going to happen right away. It could, but let's not put that onto ourselves. Let's just be ready for whatever happens. We believe in our abilities, our ability to pivot, learn, adapt and move forward. You might discover that the thing you thought was Your destination was actually just a doorway. You might end up somewhere you never planned to go and realize, wow, I am home. And that is the mystery of being alive. You don't know everything that is coming for you, my friend. And thank God that you don't. Life is full of beautiful surprises. Beautiful things are ahead of you. There are people you haven't met yet. Places you haven't seen, ideas you haven't had, songs you haven't written, conversations that you didn't even know were possible. Laughter. So oh man, the laughter that's going to come. Love that you haven't experienced. Versions of yourself you have not met yet. There is so much life coming towards you. It is happening for you, just not in the way that you imagined. So don't let one difficult chapter convince you that the book is ending. No, keep going. Keep walking, keep creating, keep loving, keep becoming. And when the road takes an unexpected turn, we don't need to panic now just turn on the In Hindsight podcast.
