march roars in like a lion … and don’t i know that life! pumpkin rolls out but the best “what ifs” stay. as we launch into a spring refresh in home, heart, closet, and temps let’s pause for the importance of exiting our seasons like a lamb. i love you. too much. forever. xoxo. kb.

what if… girl. what if you are actually good at it? yes that. anything you haven’t tried or thought “maybe someday”… i think it’s time. time for the good old college try. time for the measuring cups and the printed recipes. time for substack or the LLC. whatever has been planted in your perfectly imperfect heart deserves a shot. so well the depth of pumpkin roll seems a little frosted in comparison, it turns out the key to knowing yourself is just a little self love sugar sometimes. i love you, you talented thing you! give it a try! what if you are actually good at this? xoxo kb.

a little love note from me to you in between official seasons. i love you too much. forever. xoxo kb

my anchored thought for the very first month of a new year. i have always thought of january as calm. january is for sorting. for quiet. for reorganizing. for purging. physically and mentally. for clarity and peace. i stopped making my resolutions or words a must by january because i just love shifting and sitting. so if it’s helpful, i’m passing along my •unrush january• method. you have the whole month to get cozy with yourself and let what will float, float. to decide what this year feels like. what speaks to you and through you. truthfully though i do love just knowing the year has started. a start and freshness. but there is a melting away of old and welcoming new that cannot be done ((at least in my experience)) in the sweet chaos of the holiday season. so calm, disheveled january is the mood. it will pull itself together just like us. i pray that feeling washes over you and you feel your shoulders relax a bit. it’s january. it’s a world time out, a self plug in.

… a gentle way to reflect. we don’t need to tidy trees, homes, kitchens, AND new year resolutions all at once. that’s unfair and you’ve earned way more than to be limited in all your limitlessness. let’s just take some minutes during all the activities and the movement of the final two weeks of the year to note what worked and what didn’t. let’s give ourselves grace and room to breathe and then, sometime towards the top of january when things settle, we can aim. we can collect and refocus. we can slowly listen to the pace of our hearts and the needing of our wildest dreams. i am so thankful to have done so much time along side you this year. we are building something so special… a true Homecoming. i love you. too much. forever. xoxo kb.

diving into full swing holidays and testing all our *knowing* of what we need the very most! whew! i see you. i hear you. let’s talk about solutions for maybe rounding out some holiday plan sharper edges. in a plot twist of the holiday pummel, i offer that the ball is actually in your court. i also return to my favorite term “unhosting” …. oh just the sound of it feels like freedom. and just like vivian in pretty woman, “You’re right. We say who, we say when, we say how much” yikes - bad reference if you know the movie but you get where i’m headed. grounding ourselves in what we know we need most. it’s Homecoming and this is a fun exercise in enjoying the sacred quiet of the biggest gift. i love you. too much. forever. sorry again for the pretty woman reference… just the words match. everything else is a little off. xoxo::: kb.

in a world of lap sitting, we take a moment to talk about trusting our intuitions. an honoring of our guts from wishlists to hosting this holiday season. all the ways the world tries to noisy up the most sacred of seasons and the weird ways it wants us to sit on strangers … get in. get cozy. let’s talk boundaries with santa, grandparents, creepy uncles and the way you don’t have to do a thing that doesn’t settle well. i love you. too much. forever. protecting you always. xoxo ::: kb.
