Being hard, bitter, sour are not signs of ripe fruit. Nor are they signs of a ripe human being. The riper we get the softer and sweeter we become. We learn simple lessons that make life sweeter for ourselves and everyone around us.

This is a recording of an essay I wrote in 2007. To my mind it's one of the best that has come out of me in recent years. I couldn't not share it with you. I pray it touches your heart as it has touched mine.

Why is it that life is constantly knocking down whatever it is we try to build? What is all this opposition? Where does it come from and how can we get rid of it?

No one can win all the time. When the False Personality catches you napping and pins you there are some ideas it helps to remember while you weather the storm.

It doesn't matter how much you give or how much you take. That with which we must all contend sooner or later is that which is required of us. Be it justly or unjustly required, requirements are part of this life experience.

Getting stuck on the hamster wheel of life gets easier every day. Getting stuck in the past will ensure you'll have plenty of company. It won't, however, establish you on a path that will lead to your transformation.

It's not easy to be clear when you're stuck in the mud the five senses make of life by constantly stirring things. It is possible to find clarity in one area and work from there.

Why after so many thousands of years with billions of people dying is there such mystery surrounding death? Why is it so feared and misunderstood and how can we make peace with the inevitable?

Once we've seen all these things inside of us and we realize they're destroying our happiness, what are we supposed to do about it? What's the next step?

One of the marks of spiritual development is tolerance. As we ripen spiritually, as we apply the esoteric ideas seeded into humanity by more conscious beings than ourselves, tolerance manifests.
