Jeff Lewis

When you're Jeff Lewis, the drama never stops.
Jeff Lewis
I feel like I'm being perceived as difficult. Cause I'm difficult. No charity. Don't ever ask me about charity. No charity. I've been on one for two weeks.
Joey Zauczyk
Okay. For how long have I known you?
Jeff Lewis
17 years.
Joey Zauczyk
You've been on one for 17 years.
Bethenny Frankel
Jeff Lewis has issues.
Jeff Lewis
Hey, it's Jeff Lewis and I have issues. In Today's episode, Beverly D'Angelo, Shannon Beador and Joey Zauczyk join the show from we care spa in Desert Hot Springs. We talk about our experience cleansing our bodies and eliminating waste in all kinds of places. Good morning, ladies.
Beverly D'Angelo
Good morning.
Jeff Lewis
How you feeling?
Beverly D'Angelo
Good morning.
Shannon Beador
Well, I just had to run to my room and then I grabbed Bev's key.
Bethenny Frankel
So you couldn't even get in after all that?
Shannon Beador
No, I had to run back.
Beverly D'Angelo
Where was my.
Shannon Beador
I literally. I was right there. I grabbed it. I literally ran.
Jeff Lewis
How do you have the energy to run?
Shannon Beador
What is the temp? That's what I wanted.
Beverly D'Angelo
81 degrees right now.
Bethenny Frankel
No, no, no. My car said 96 on my drive here.
Beverly D'Angelo
I still stand corrected.
Jeff Lewis
So Bev and I have zero energy.
Beverly D'Angelo
Zero.
Shannon Beador
I didn't sleep.
Beverly D'Angelo
Why not?
Shannon Beador
Well, I think the toxins, whatever that pill is. The pills we took last night, did you take it? I didn't take any pills.
Beverly D'Angelo
I didn't take a pill. The digestive?
Shannon Beador
No, it's called.
Jeff Lewis
See, I'm not taking Those pills.
Beverly D'Angelo
I took the aloe and I took the enzymes early in the day. And you know what happened to me?
Jeff Lewis
We'll get to that point, Beth. But we caravanned here yesterday. It was Bev and Shannon and Joey and Shane and myself all in one talk to Joey. What?
Beverly D'Angelo
Joey slipped us to Mickey.
Jeff Lewis
Joey did make. Yes, he did. So first of all, we drove here. Now, Shannon and I were very strict about the preparation and the fast.
Beverly D'Angelo
Not me.
Jeff Lewis
And then. Bev, you cheated a bit.
Beverly D'Angelo
It wasn't about cheating. It was about survival.
Jeff Lewis
I was in.
Beverly D'Angelo
I was in New York City participating wildly and. And. And prominently in an AMC event. Christmas in July. The best Christmas ever in July. And that was July 31st that we did that. I had on, you know, my Santa Claus had. We did play trivia. We did karaoke. It was. I. I was. There was a lot of wild abandon. And although I'd been pretty good leading up to that, I did have a slider.
Jeff Lewis
You also said you had a chocolate martini.
Beverly D'Angelo
And a chocolate martini.
Shannon Beador
And a frittata.
Beverly D'Angelo
And a frittata on the plate.
Jeff Lewis
And a croissant.
Beverly D'Angelo
And a croissant apricot and a croissant on the plane. Because I left on Tuesday. It's really no laughing matter. I'm destroying myself. But I left on Tuesday. I left my house at 5:30am There were some hiccups with the planes. I didn't get to JFK till 10:30. Got to my hotel, you know, loving whenever it was the event, went the following day. And then I flew back. I left my hotel at 3am on.
Jeff Lewis
The New York City.
Beverly D'Angelo
3Am, 3am August 1st. And then got back home. You picked me up and we got here.
Jeff Lewis
How long had you been.
Beverly D'Angelo
2:30Pm Aug. 1.
Jeff Lewis
How long had you been home before I picked you up?
Beverly D'Angelo
An hour and a half.
Jeff Lewis
Wow.
Beverly D'Angelo
So, I mean, I. There's.
Jeff Lewis
You were a little frazzled and I understand when you.
Beverly D'Angelo
But. But speaking of the fatigue. No, I. We were talking about why did I have a slider. I don't even eat meat. But I was saying it was a matter of survival because I didn't sleep. I was going on fumes. The same way that you're hungry right now and it's tied to your fatigue.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
I just. I had them make me a protein shake, which. Well, could they use Soy is what.
Beverly D'Angelo
Very soy. I don't like soy.
Jeff Lewis
It doesn't taste great.
Shannon Beador
I feel like I'm not hungry. I feel like I'm gonna vomit.
Jeff Lewis
Really?
Beverly D'Angelo
Well, I talked to someone last night. Who's a friend of a friend who's here. And she told me that she vomited 11 times.
Shannon Beador
I want to tell.
Beverly D'Angelo
Is everybody in these rooms shitting and vomiting?
Jeff Lewis
So we are at a very strict wellness center. There is basically no food.
Beverly D'Angelo
It's not a wellness center, it's a spot.
Jeff Lewis
Ah, okay. Well, there's no food at all. So it's juicing.
Shannon Beador
You can't chew, you don't chew.
Beverly D'Angelo
Is that no chewing?
Shannon Beador
No chewing? No.
Jeff Lewis
So teas, juices, juices, protein shakes.
Shannon Beador
One cup, one cup of soup. It's.
Beverly D'Angelo
The protein shakes are new.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, we. At 4 o'clock we get one cup of soup. So we look forward to that all day. What is that?
Beverly D'Angelo
What's that music? I'm hallucinating. But here's the thing. They do say, you know, they are oriented toward the purity that's involved here. You know, I mean there's, there's like that psychological purity they're going for. But here's my main problem with all health spas. My main problem is that we are putting the responsibilities for our self care in the hands of others. So we're only here for a few days. What will we take home that's in it? We really should do another a before and after show because we just got here and we should talk like in a week. What did we take home or something like that.
Shannon Beador
Like we need like before after photos too.
Jeff Lewis
So Bev thinks her theory is this is a cult. And then my theory is that I think the introduction meetings that they have where you're supposed to sit there for an hour, that's today. I think that's programming.
Beverly D'Angelo
I, I think you're wrong. I don't think it's a. Let me clarify. I don't think it's a cult. Meaning that it's like the source that, that restaurant in Los Angeles where everybody. It was a health food restaurant, but it was really a cult upstairs. No, I don't think it's a cult like that. I think it's a certain, there's a certain mentality when you put the responsibility for your self care and your nutrition and all that kind of stuff in somebody else's hands. There's. We've handed over a lot of responsibility. I drank a lot of stuff yesterday that resulted in a great deal of discomfort and destruction to my bed, you know, my robes.
Jeff Lewis
So Bev, what actually happened to you yesterday? Because.
Beverly D'Angelo
Oh my God.
Jeff Lewis
Because you had a colonic schedule.
Beverly D'Angelo
Well, and by the way, I'm. I am a colonic advocate. I Think they're okay?
Bethenny Frankel
They're calling a queen.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah, well, I'm not a colonic queen, but I am. I do. I do not have a resistance to the concept. I think that, you know, and in my time, I certainly have. Oh, we've got.
Jeff Lewis
Here he comes.
Bethenny Frankel
It's your fault, Joseph.
Jeff Lewis
Joey just walked in in a row.
Beverly D'Angelo
Joey, it's your fault. Anyway, so I have do edit this.
Jeff Lewis
No, we're live. We're live.
Beverly D'Angelo
We're live. Okay, Joey, it's your fault, and I'll get to you in a minute. But anyway, so I. I have done that, and I use the. The place that I use is an open system, which means that you're not, like, holding it in and. And doing all these elaborate things.
Jeff Lewis
What went wrong?
Beverly D'Angelo
I don't know. All I know is that this. The. The woman said she was 15 minutes.
Jeff Lewis
Late for your appointment, correct?
Beverly D'Angelo
Yes. And the woman said that the first stage was hydration. Because I explained to her I use. No, I've used an open system.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Beverly D'Angelo
For my colonic regimen. How is this different? She says the first round is hydration.
Jeff Lewis
So you pumps your body full of water.
Shannon Beador
Fill your colon with water.
Beverly D'Angelo
Fill your colon with water. And then. Then. Did you have a full one yesterday?
Shannon Beador
Okay. You're the only one that's had a colonic so far. Jeff and I are.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, Mine's at three.
Beverly D'Angelo
So they pump you full, Joseph. So the first round for. They pump your intestines full of water, right?
Joey Zauczyk
Yeah.
Beverly D'Angelo
And then the second round is the coffee and the castor oil, Right?
Joey Zauczyk
Oh, she filled me up with coffee right away because I told her I wanted to get. Because the first colonic is usually like, you don't get anything.
Shannon Beador
You don't get much.
Joey Zauczyk
Yeah. And then she puts in the. I've got the coffee. Oh, thank you so much.
Jeff Lewis
What'd you get?
Bethenny Frankel
Joey just had something.
Beverly D'Angelo
What are you getting room service?
Joey Zauczyk
Can I just say something? They're not following the regimen. So this morning in front of me, I have my beautiful.
Shannon Beador
Can I see this?
Joey Zauczyk
My beautiful detox drink. And then I have my morning food, which these are the things that are going to keep you full the whole entire day. And then I also took my two. That's a. Oh, my God. You already had a protein shake.
Jeff Lewis
What's wrong with that?
Bethenny Frankel
It's not part of the plan.
Beverly D'Angelo
Can I have some of your detox thing? Of course.
Shannon Beador
The green food.
Beverly D'Angelo
What is that?
Jeff Lewis
Hungry.
Beverly D'Angelo
What is that?
Joey Zauczyk
It's green.
Shannon Beador
Green food. It says mix 1 teaspoon of green food. With water. Time for a detox drink and a regulator chaser. Oh, what's the detox night?
Joey Zauczyk
This will keep you from.
Jeff Lewis
But you didn't sleep.
Beverly D'Angelo
Can you pour a little bit of that?
Joey Zauczyk
Just taste it with my straw, B. I don't want.
Shannon Beador
You take the regular chaser. Did you take the regulator chaser?
Joey Zauczyk
I took the regulator chaser last night.
Shannon Beador
I'm burping it up.
Joey Zauczyk
Bev, that's gonna be half of. Okay, whatever. I'll have another one.
Beverly D'Angelo
That's half of.
Joey Zauczyk
You're supposed to get your own at the pool bar.
Bethenny Frankel
Oh, you're mad someone else's.
Beverly D'Angelo
Wait, wait. Excuse me. Is this anybody? Is this. Is this a half? Can we look at the math here? I have a quarter inch of your beverage. You have five inches.
Joey Zauczyk
Why don't you have the whole thing?
Beverly D'Angelo
No, I won't, because.
Jeff Lewis
Don't be a baby. Just get another one.
Beverly D'Angelo
You gave me castor oil last night.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. And you gave it to Shane, too.
Shannon Beador
Wait, Shane was texting?
Joey Zauczyk
Me and Shane were texting all day yesterday.
Shannon Beador
I spit it out.
Bethenny Frankel
We have.
Joey Zauczyk
Yeah, I had four shots of it yesterday.
Bethenny Frankel
Okay, so.
Joey Zauczyk
And I was. I mean, I wasn't fine, but I. I got everything.
Beverly D'Angelo
Did you go to the bathroom last night?
Joey Zauczyk
Oh, yeah. But I had a great colonic, too, so I. Listen, I wanted to get. And run everything through me, so I took the Castro.
Jeff Lewis
I've noticed there are so many restrooms on this property. And now I realize why.
Beverly D'Angelo
Why?
Jeff Lewis
Because you can't make it back to your room.
Bethenny Frankel
Everyone is.
Joey Zauczyk
Well, we were in yoga this morning, you guys. And three people had to run out of the room while we were like, in downward dog. Because you can kind of hear. It's just the vibe here. It's kind of like, you know that.
Shannon Beador
You'Re going to have to hear them in the bathroom.
Joey Zauczyk
The vibe here.
Beverly D'Angelo
The vibe is we're all shitting and vomiting.
Joey Zauczyk
No, the thing is, it's just, you know that it's going to happen. So we're all in this together as one big happy family.
Bethenny Frankel
I didn't think I was going to be in it together.
Joey Zauczyk
I feel. Am I the annoying one? That feels great, like I'm the.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yes, yes.
Shannon Beador
It's very annoying. You did yoga.
Beverly D'Angelo
You were here last week, right?
Joey Zauczyk
No, two months ago.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so, Shane, why don't you explain what happened to you yesterday?
Bethenny Frankel
So we all. We all come here. They're all getting checked in. Joey walks in like he owns the place. Because he's been here.
Beverly D'Angelo
Because. Because he's there. He's their guest.
Bethenny Frankel
So. So he's like, okay, Shane, here, he's there. Juice. Here's the celery juice. Here's the. Here's the detox tea.
Beverly D'Angelo
You're their ambassador now.
Bethenny Frankel
Oh, Shane, take a shot of this. So he pours us shots of this, like thick oil. And he was like, oh, it was.
Beverly D'Angelo
More than a shot. That was 2 ounces.
Bethenny Frankel
It's like a gut. Health shots. Yeah, I thought it was gonna be like a ginger. Like something good for you to get you.
Beverly D'Angelo
Me too.
Bethenny Frankel
Pumped.
Beverly D'Angelo
It was a little.
Bethenny Frankel
We cheers and we take the shots.
Beverly D'Angelo
And I did it too. And Joey said, good for you and Shannon.
Jeff Lewis
And I tasted it and spit it out. Too thick.
Bethenny Frankel
I didn't know that. It was an extreme laxative. I didn't know that.
Beverly D'Angelo
Me neither.
Bethenny Frankel
I took the shot. I get in my Uber, which is a 30 minute drive to my hotel. And as I'm approaching the hotel, I was like, oh, maybe like, this is not agreeing with me. I don't know what. I don't know what that was. Yeah, it was. It was a hour situation, I thought, because I had, like two hours before broking out there. So I was like, oh, I'm gonna do all my cameos. I'm gonna do my work, I'm gonna work out. Like, I was like, I. Yeah, I accomplished.
Jeff Lewis
You were on the toilet for how long?
Bethenny Frankel
Nothing. Two hours of my life.
Jeff Lewis
Thank you, Joey.
Bethenny Frankel
I did it and I wasn't expecting.
Joey Zauczyk
How do you feel this morning?
Bethenny Frankel
Clean and clear, period.
Joey Zauczyk
That's the best thing. That's the thing.
Shannon Beador
When you were leaving, you were saying something with that shot. It's like burning my stomach.
Joey Zauczyk
Shay texted me. He goes, what the WTF did you give me? What is going on? What's happening? I'm like, just let it ride. I was walking you through it.
Bethenny Frankel
I didn't know what it was. I didn't know. I googled it.
Joey Zauczyk
I was like, I don't really know what it is either. They just tell you to take it here. So I'm gonna do what they say. I'm gonna follow the program.
Beverly D'Angelo
This is what I brought up, though. This idea that, like, you're placing yourself blindly in. In the hands of it. I. I do think that their program is fine. I. I do. If they're tailoring it to you, that's great as they are with Joey. But just as the shopping list, I'm having a lot of tr. Incomplete colonic yesterday. I have never pooped more in my life. I literally, you know that cliche. I The bed and everybody. It's like, that's the worst thing that can happen. Anyway, so I. I haven't done that yet. Huh.
Jeff Lewis
So.
Beverly D'Angelo
But Bev.
Jeff Lewis
So to continue. So your clonic. They, they, they filled your colon, they.
Beverly D'Angelo
Did the hydration thing.
Jeff Lewis
Then what happened?
Beverly D'Angelo
And I. It was so much pressure. I said, I'm really uncomfortable. I feel like I have to, you know, just sit on the. Maybe if I sit on the toilet with me, that that'll help. And because I. She said, oh, I can do this thing to alleviate the pressure. But it wasn't. But when it was making it worse, she was like bending the tube and stuff like that. So I went in, I eliminated and, and that seemed okay. And I came back and I said, okay, that's good anticipating. Now we'll do the coffee or whatever it was. And she said, I can't do it. I can't. You can't do the rest. There's enough time. And I said, what do you mean there's not enough time? It was four. I watched the, the baby hand go click, click. It was 4:47. We'd started at 4:15. Take out the five minutes on the toilet max and rinsing off and everything like that. That was 15 minutes getting hydrated anyway. So she said there wasn't enough time. We go back to the lobby. I, I immediately go to.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, that's when the drop happened.
Beverly D'Angelo
I went to a superior and I said, I don't. I said, I said, wait, I have to ask a question. I said, I am not complaining. I just want to know what is the deal.
Joey Zauczyk
I heard you.
Beverly D'Angelo
What's that? You heard me. I wasn't complaining.
Joey Zauczyk
Not at all.
Beverly D'Angelo
I wasn't angry. I just wanted an understanding of how I will approach these sessions. I said, for example, the clinician was 15 minutes late. I had difficulty with the way it was being done. I'm not used to that system. I kept saying, how do I accommodate the system? But I felt incredibly full. I went, sat down, a lot of water came out. I came back. I'm ready for the next round. She told me I couldn't take the next round. I just wanted to know what it is. And she said, well. And I said, what happened that made her so late? She said, well, we accommodate what people need. Sometimes it takes more, sometimes it takes less.
Jeff Lewis
And I said, don't take it from your time.
Beverly D'Angelo
No, that's what I said. I said, well, if, that if she. If it's okay for her to be late because she was taking such good care of the person in front of me. How come she said, I can't do so. Can't finish it.
Jeff Lewis
What were the after effects then? So you. I remember you had spoken to the administrators. Now, at the same time, I was in the lobby, and I could see that the. The person that performed.
Beverly D'Angelo
The clinician.
Jeff Lewis
The clinician.
Beverly D'Angelo
Clinician.
Jeff Lewis
She was very upset. And then a manager came in to talk to her. So I don't know if she was making it about her or what happened, but I don't know why she was upset.
Beverly D'Angelo
I think she was upset because I went immediately. I talked to her superior immediately.
Shannon Beador
Do you know when you get. In my experience.
Beverly D'Angelo
And her superior said, what. What's happening? That's what I.
Shannon Beador
But in my experience, when you get a colonic, when you feel that pressure, that's when you release. And then everything comes out in the tube.
Jeff Lewis
I'm fine, Joe.
Shannon Beador
So I don't understand why, like, you didn't keep going, you know, like, she didn't say, oh, yeah, just breathe. And then everything would have come out.
Beverly D'Angelo
She told me not to push.
Jeff Lewis
So then, Bev, what happens? You go back to your room, and then what happens?
Beverly D'Angelo
Just to be clear, I was saying, how do you do this? How do you do this?
Shannon Beador
And you can't push, So I don't know how to do it either.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so you go back to your room. What happens?
Beverly D'Angelo
I go back to my room. It's all a blur.
Shannon Beador
She went. She went to the spa. She went to.
Beverly D'Angelo
Oh, no, it didn't go back to my room.
Shannon Beador
She went to the room.
Beverly D'Angelo
I then had the. I then had the. This is what happened. I then had the. What is it? Sacrificial massage.
Shannon Beador
The castor oil.
Beverly D'Angelo
Systemic. Systemic recovery massage.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Beverly D'Angelo
Where first they do a skin brush, which is lovely. They brush your skin, and then they massage you with castor oil. So we did my bat. I was on my stomach, and it was such a real. I didn't feel good. Felt kind of nauseous, but it. It was such a. That was lovely, the skin brushing.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Beverly D'Angelo
And then I turn over and I hear, like, slush, you know, like. And I went, oh, my God. And I said, I gotta go. And so I left a little trace and went running into the bathroom there. And then I'm like, googling. Can somebody come and get me? Because it had begun this outpouring of the contents of my intestines. And the thing is, I don't really know if everything's. I don't know if everything's come out, but that. That Is a process that continued till this day. I, I had a. I, I was up at.
Jeff Lewis
What happened.
Beverly D'Angelo
I don't know how much.
Jeff Lewis
First of all, what happened when you got back to your room?
Shannon Beador
Yeah, that's the.
Beverly D'Angelo
I think I came to your room then.
Jeff Lewis
No, there was a problem because your door got locked.
Beverly D'Angelo
Oh, that. Oh, God, I forgot about that. Anyway, so I'm lying there getting up. I'm three feet away from the bed, from the toilet. Up, down, up, down, up, down. It's really, really bad. I didn't even wear any clothes at that point. Point. Just like, I'm going to be in there. So I'm like, lie down, get up, lie down, get up. And I don't know. I, I, I think I leaned maybe a little bit when I opened the door. Maybe put my weight on the handle when I was leaving the cubicle the last time. And I'm lying there and won't got to get up again. And the door's locked. I, I'd locked myself out. And, you know, I was desperate for this elimination, so I pooped in the wastebasket. And then. You think it's funny? So I pooped in the waste basket. And then I. So I put the robe in there, too, because that had been in the way. And then, then I called and I said, can you please come and help me?
Joey Zauczyk
I saw the lady running with the key in a bag, and she was like. I was like, what is going on?
Beverly D'Angelo
No, no, that, that was the second round. So she came to help. She came to help. And, And I said, you know, in these kind of doors, there's always like a little hole, I think, if you just poke that. So she brought it. I told, actually, I told her that on the phone. So she brought a little thing, but it wasn't long enough to. To release the lock mechanism from the outside. And I said. And I put the bag outside my door, and I saw her go out and kind of look back and go. And she. And then, then she came back about five minutes later with black gloves on, with rubber gloves on to get the bed. I did get. Finally get in now, but it hasn't stopped. I, I got up at 5. I don't know what time I went to sleep because I was kind of in a haze. Up, down, up, down, up, down.
Jeff Lewis
Do you think it has. And there's the issue of the aloe pills. Do those all. Are those as strong as the castor oil?
Beverly D'Angelo
She did give me a lot of aloe pills.
Joey Zauczyk
You take the aloe pills to, like, quote, unquote soften the stool. And it's. It's kind of a last resort for the. For the colonics.
Beverly D'Angelo
Well, she gave them to me yesterday.
Joey Zauczyk
I don't know why she gave them to you before. Listen, this is the thing. You. On a positive note, you got all the kinks out on your first day, so now you know who you don't want to go see for a colonic. I told. I told the front desk to hook you up with the good. My good girl for the colonics. So that's the positive of it.
Jeff Lewis
I was gonna see Sherry today for a colonic. Is she Good girl?
Joey Zauczyk
Well, now that you said her name on radio, I have to. She's fine. No, she's good.
Beverly D'Angelo
Use sign language.
Joey Zauczyk
No, she's good. She's good. But there's one person that's really good.
Beverly D'Angelo
No, you use sign language. Not. You're saying, no, she's fine.
Joey Zauczyk
Sherry's great.
Jeff Lewis
She's not bad like Bev's person, but a lady.
Beverly D'Angelo
Let's not say my person is bad.
Bethenny Frankel
Well, she didn't do a job.
Beverly D'Angelo
Here's what you've got.
Joey Zauczyk
Sometimes people are just.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah, but that's my whole point. Is it her job? Have I placed myself.
Shannon Beador
Yes.
Beverly D'Angelo
In a position of giving the responsibility over to everybody? Because what I did yesterday was. I advocated for myself. Said this. Very uncomfortable. I feel like I have to press down. Don't press down. I feel like I have to press down. I feel like, you know. So in other words, for me is if I do everything that everybody says here, am I going to be okay? Because I really. I cannot tell you how much I pooped. You know, I was given the. The aloe things. I took your castor oil, Joey. And nobody took it.
Joey Zauczyk
Like a champ, too. I was really. Yeah, well, you just shoved it down.
Beverly D'Angelo
No, but that's what I'm talking about, you guys. Why are we putting ourselves in the position of giving all these.
Bethenny Frankel
We should not be trusting. Joey. Joey.
Shannon Beador
Okay, Joey, you're out when you feel pressure. You said last night three times it came out of your rear end.
Beverly D'Angelo
The.
Shannon Beador
The. The thing.
Joey Zauczyk
Yeah, I had a good thing, but so my girl, a lady.
Shannon Beador
I've never had it come out of.
Bethenny Frankel
You popped the table.
Joey Zauczyk
Oh, girl, you got it.
Beverly D'Angelo
Mine came out.
Joey Zauczyk
Oh, one time. When you squeeze too hard, sometimes they can pop in. They just. To reinsert. But my girl Lydia, like, she really takes the time to, like, massage in the right way.
Jeff Lewis
And will Sherry do it?
Joey Zauczyk
Well, you better tell Sherry to do it.
Bethenny Frankel
So are they down there? Like down there putting the tuba.
Joey Zauczyk
You. You have a towel over you and you have a good.
Beverly D'Angelo
I didn't have a towel.
Joey Zauczyk
What?
Beverly D'Angelo
I had my clothes on.
Shannon Beador
Wait, wait, you didn't have a gown?
Beverly D'Angelo
No.
Joey Zauczyk
Wait, what I'm. I go fully naked with. And then they put a towel. No, no, no, no, no, wait. I think that something's a little botched.
Beverly D'Angelo
I said, I said to her robe and she said, no, just lift your dress up. So I had this on. That was part of the delay. I had to rinse out the back of it.
Joey Zauczyk
So that's not how it's supposed to go. You're supposed to undress in the bathroom. See if you need to release anything before you go into colonic.
Beverly D'Angelo
No, no, no.
Jeff Lewis
Are you. So when you do this, am I lying down and just like on my side? I'm not like.
Joey Zauczyk
And then you switch to your back and then that's when you start my back.
Jeff Lewis
So I'm on my back ass up.
Joey Zauczyk
For a little bit.
Shannon Beador
Not ass, no, ass down. They stick it up your rear at your fanny and then you roll over on your back and then it's inserted.
Beverly D'Angelo
But I will say something again. Having done these open colonics, the bot to have your body flat with your knees raised, that's not facilitating what's going on. You've got to have your body up a little bit.
Joey Zauczyk
Yes. So you're up.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah. I was perfect. She had me perfectly flat.
Joey Zauczyk
What? Yes, girl. Something was not. Because I was not.
Beverly D'Angelo
They have a wedge, Jeff. You want that wedge about here. You need the wedge, not have.
Joey Zauczyk
You have a wedge. And during your drive, the wedge was.
Beverly D'Angelo
Not behind my back. Absolutely not. I had my head perched on the edge of the wedge.
Jeff Lewis
A wedge salad sounds so good right now.
Joey Zauczyk
I could really go for a wedge. Oh, but I just have my regulator and my detox drink, so I'm full.
Shannon Beador
Okay, well, you need to get. You need to order them for us from the pool bar.
Joey Zauczyk
Well, we're going. We're all going to go to the pool bar. We're going to order our drinks and our cocktail.
Beverly D'Angelo
I love how positive you are. But listen, here's what you got to do. You make her tell you every step of the way exactly what she's doing. Cuz that's the problem I have.
Jeff Lewis
But I'm with you, Beth. I don't want to blindly take all these pills.
Beverly D'Angelo
I don't either.
Joey Zauczyk
I supplements.
Shannon Beador
It's. Yeah, you. Well, they.
Beverly D'Angelo
That's the cult like aspect. Like you're either in the program or you're not in the program.
Shannon Beador
They have tried and, and they have come up with this protocol that seems to work for the majority of people.
Joey Zauczyk
The best thing about we care is that there's no. You don't have to follow the exact regimen. And you can go off. You can get a protein shake if you want. The thing is, you're just having liquid so you're going to look good and feel good after regardless.
Jeff Lewis
I don't think that feels good.
Beverly D'Angelo
I know, but it's day one. It's day one. It's day 1. You will. You will fill a certain reset. This. Jeff and I talked about this. The way that this happened was I called him up and said, you're the king of the flipping. I've got a house that I, you know, I'm looking at in those terms. And we, we rekindled a French. Very much so. And we were both talking about needing a reset and we talked about many, many spas. And we landed on this one because he can really only do weekends. I'm talking too much. Shannon, please. I know, it's terrible. Shannon has.
Jeff Lewis
Bev, you were supposed to be like my, like wellness center buddy. Yeah, but you were the first person on the way. Like you said, pull over, Jeff. I need to get a Diet Coke, a Xanax and a cigarette.
Beverly D'Angelo
I didn't though.
Shannon Beador
For a final.
Beverly D'Angelo
I. I only got the cigarette.
Jeff Lewis
Me. You made me pull over to get cigarettes.
Beverly D'Angelo
But you.
Shannon Beador
For a final.
Beverly D'Angelo
That. You called it a. For our final final. Cuz I. But see, I quit. I quit. So it was just. I, you know.
Jeff Lewis
Aren't you glad I kept the cigarettes? Cuz you were going to throw them out.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
And I said, I don't think she had one. She goes, throw them out. I said, I'm not going to throw them out because I knew she's going to need another one. So last night, even though it says no smoking everywhere, Bev came over and begged for another cigarette.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah.
Shannon Beador
And who.
Beverly D'Angelo
Okay, shoot me.
Shannon Beador
Who lit it for you in the fire pit? Bev.
Beverly D'Angelo
Shannon lit it.
Joey Zauczyk
We were team. I got the fire pit to light, Shannon got the cigarette and Jeff.
Jeff Lewis
But the worst part. So Bev is jonesing for a cigarette, right?
Beverly D'Angelo
She said, no, I wasn't.
Jeff Lewis
Yes, you were. But you had a bad day, so we were going to make this happen for you. So we couldn't light the fire pit because they don't leave lighters here, obviously, because there's no. No smoking. So. But I. Fortunately in my backyard, I have a fire pit. So I was like, let's light the fire pit, and then we'll light Bev's cigarette. So we couldn't light it. And then you called the front desk.
Joey Zauczyk
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
And said, hey, we're having trouble lighting. Can you send someone to light it?
Joey Zauczyk
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
And then in the meantime, we got it going. So Joey was so obvious because he's. Then he calls. He's like, hey, yeah, we don't need anybody now. We got. You know, we got it working, so don't send anyone.
Joey Zauczyk
Because B was literally.
Beverly D'Angelo
I know, but, you guys, we're doing this live. They could be listening to all of this, and we could all get kicked out. Plus, I want. Do want to make something clear. January 1st, I did quit smoking. And I did it all the way through till, like, seriously, like, when I went to New York for this bash, I like, because I was singing at the Grand Old Opera. So that's. That is for real. I did. I had quit.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. I don't care.
Beverly D'Angelo
You know, if I smoked, I would need more than two.
Joey Zauczyk
That's true.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. No, I don't care. It's just that there was a lot of no smoking signs.
Beverly D'Angelo
Well, thank you for broadcasting it. Yeah, let's just all go to smoking jail.
Shannon Beador
Jeff put the pack of cigarettes out so that everyone at the spa saw that we had them.
Jeff Lewis
Because Shane was so scared, because he goes, hey, give me your room key. I'll take the cigarettes back to him. I'm like, don't worry about it. I had them right on the table on top of my phone.
Beverly D'Angelo
We're gonna get.
Jeff Lewis
And people were walking by and seeing the cigarettes because they want.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah.
Bethenny Frankel
Not for how much you paid. No way they're gonna let you stay.
Jeff Lewis

I want to say I was like, 6:00?
Joey Zauczyk
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Really? Really? You. You saw Juan?
Joey Zauczyk
Oh, loved one one.
Jeff Lewis
Juan was a very sweet guy. Now I think if he was hot, I would have taken my underwear off.
Beverly D'Angelo
Oh my God.
Shannon Beador
But I always take your underwear.
Joey Zauczyk
Why would you not take your underwear?
Jeff Lewis
I just didn't feel comfortable. So I left my underwear on.
Joey Zauczyk
That's not very relaxing.
Jeff Lewis
But I told him, I said, if you want to do the glutes, I'll just pull them down. But he just, he never did. That's so I just didn't feel good. I didn't feel. I, I didn't.
Joey Zauczyk
You know, they say undress to your comfort level. So there you go.
Beverly D'Angelo
So it was kind of being a Parker. So what happened?
Jeff Lewis
So it's kind of like in and out, like, you know, falling asleep, waking up, falling asleep. And so he was here. Show me your arm, Joey. So he had taken one. He took my arm and he was holding my hand, kind of like pushing my hand down with one of his. With one of his hands. And then with the other hand, he was massaging the forearms.
Beverly D'Angelo
Right.
Jeff Lewis
So like I'm in and out of consciousness.
Beverly D'Angelo
Right.
Jeff Lewis
So I, I closed my hands.
Beverly D'Angelo
Oh, Like a love.
Jeff Lewis
Close my hand. I didn't realize what I was doing.
Beverly D'Angelo
You were holding it like I. I'm holding your hand now because I love you.
Joey Zauczyk
Oh, so cute.
Jeff Lewis
And then I realized what I was doing and I, like, like, quickly let go. And then I realized I'm so glad I had my underwear on because I didn't look like a pervert. You know what I'm saying? Because I think it was so weird.
Beverly D'Angelo
And what did he do? What did he say?
Jeff Lewis
He didn't say a word.
Beverly D'Angelo
He didn't say loved one.
Jeff Lewis
But I was holding his hand for quite some time.
Beverly D'Angelo
You what?
Jeff Lewis
I didn't realize.
Joey Zauczyk
I've done that before.
Beverly D'Angelo
We are so out of here. They're gonna. If they hear this.
Jeff Lewis
We would get out of here. Because you smoke. That's why we get.
Beverly D'Angelo
I do not smoke in present tense. And you know as well as I do, if you're a smoker, one cigarette is not going to make it.
Joey Zauczyk
No.
Beverly D'Angelo
So let's.
Jeff Lewis
You know, I was wondering, do you think he'll say something to the manager?
Joey Zauczyk
Yes. We're live radio. They know we're doing the radio show.
Beverly D'Angelo
No one's looking at listening. We're like 20ft away from the main desk, Jeff.
Jeff Lewis
Now, for those of you. You wouldn't know this, but Bev, you're, you're. I mean, you're a storyteller. You're a talker. Except when you don't want to talk and then you tell us you're on vocal rest.
Beverly D'Angelo
No, no, that's true. I'm on vocal rest.
Joey Zauczyk
The hallway in the car, I was like, I'm on vocal rest.
Jeff Lewis
But they kept talking story forever.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah, no, I do have to go and vocal rest for real because I have to record something in a week.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so when, when do you start the vocal rest?
Beverly D'Angelo
Today.
Bethenny Frankel
10:00.
Jeff Lewis
Now you need to work. So Joey is shooting a film next. Next week. I am in New York.
Joey Zauczyk
I am. I read the script last night.
Shannon Beador
Oh, you did?
Joey Zauczyk
I read like 30 pages of it. And then I read Mike, which means.
Jeff Lewis
He read 10 pages of it. Beth.
Joey Zauczyk
Probably. But Beth is gonna help me go over my lines and it's a very short part. Yeah. So I got work today.
Jeff Lewis
Bev gave you some great advice. So, Joey. Well, it's just a quick couple lines, right?
Joey Zauczyk
It's like. Yeah, it's like six lines.
Jeff Lewis
And Bev said, you've got to read the script. You have to read this.
Bethenny Frankel
The whole thing especially.
Joey Zauczyk
Well, there's like big stars in it. So I'm seeing their names like of their characters. I can't. Well, I can't tell you. Oh, I told you guys yesterday. I told you guys yesterday.
Shannon Beador
Yeah, I remember.
Joey Zauczyk
I, I told you guys yesterday in the car. I just can't say it on this thing.
Jeff Lewis
Platform.
Joey Zauczyk
On this platform. Okay, but, but that's why I'm a little nervous. But I feel like since I have you giving me advice, it's gonna be. I'll be good.
Jeff Lewis
You were saying that you want him to underline the verbs.
Beverly D'Angelo
Yeah, I was saying if it's just if you're a non actor and you're approaching something and you're trying to figure out out what your character, who your character is. Because if you don't have any background and you're just trying to go like, what do I do? What do. Yeah, remember that and just look at the verbs.
Joey Zauczyk
Wow. I say I will do that today. I do have to finish the script.
Bethenny Frankel
A verb is an action script.
Beverly D'Angelo
But the importance of, of reading is the problem.
Jeff Lewis
He doesn't know what a verb is.
Beverly D'Angelo
Come through to the now the importance of reading a script. When you have small part. I think it's even more important that you, from my point of view, that you have an overview. When you have a small part, a supporting part, even a line is so that you understand the intention of the writer and why you have. What? Why would anybody have three or four lines in a movie? Yeah, you know, there's got to be.
Shannon Beador
It's a ring. It's her ring camera.
Beverly D'Angelo
It's my ring app.
Joey Zauczyk
All day yesterday, we're like in quiet clothes.
