Holly Robinson Peete
When you're Jeff Lewis, the drama never stops.
Jeff Lewis
This dementia's aggressive. Really?
Rodney Peete
So is the drinking.
Jeff Lewis
You know, I've never been on a private plane before, and I'm very excited. Are you serious? No.
Holly Robinson Peete
Never.
Jeff Lewis
What are you, a Martian?
Holly Robinson Peete
You're really demented. You're actually demented. Aye yai yai, Chef Lewis.
Jeff Lewis
Hey, it's Jeff Lewis and I have issues. In today's episode, Holly Robinson Pete and Rodney Pete, join the show. We talk about the power of brisket, the secrets to a long marriage, and uggos. Good morning.
Holly Robinson Peete
Good morning. Good morning.
Jeff Lewis
It's been a minute since I've seen you, Holly.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes. I feel like I just saw. I saw you at a party last time. We were partying at our friend's house.
Jeff Lewis
Yes. You are very good friends with Chaz Dean, as am I, who, coincidentally, is here tomorrow. Now, how did you meet Chaz?
Holly Robinson Peete
You know, when you know some known someone so long that you don't remember how you met them. Yes, but that's how long I've known Chaz, and he's been so supportive of all of our fundraising, and he's always. We have a big fashion show, Autism gala, and he's always giving everybody all of his products, and he's just been an amazing friend. I feel like we met through an old assistant who went to him and was one of his clients. And I went to him and I was like, who is this white boy that thinks he can do black hair? And he was like, I can do your hair. And he did. He was amazing. And we just connected. And then Rodney fell in love with them, and we just. We love.
Jeff Lewis
Awesome jazz, my man. So, Hugo, the Holly Rod Foundation.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
Which I've heard about for years and years and years.
Holly Robinson Peete
You gotta come to our gala. We're gonna make you come.
Jeff Lewis
Really?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
When is the gala?
Holly Robinson Peete
It's gonna Be in October.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. So do you do an annual gala?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yep.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. And then how many years have you guys been doing this?
Holly Robinson Peete
Ooh, 26.
Jameson Scala
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
And is it autistic autism awareness and part Parkinson's. That's what I thought.
Holly Robinson Peete
My dad had Parkinson's. My brother has Parkinson's. And then of course our son RJ is on the autism spectrum.
Jeff Lewis
And he's how old? 18.
Holly Robinson Peete
27.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, I keep confusing the kids because there's four of them.
Holly Robinson Peete
There's four.
Jeff Lewis
Three boys, one girl, boy, girl twins.
Holly Robinson Peete
27. 27.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so we have wait one in Japan.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes. That's the 22 year old middle boy. And the baby is 20.
Jameson Scala
Yes.
Holly Robinson Peete
And he's fight on. He's at USC with Rodney. Rodney Pete. Because finally got him a Trojan. Four kids and he finally got Alma mater Trojan.
Jeff Lewis
I don't know if it's my favorite.
Jameson Scala
That's what you.
Jeff Lewis
I'm sure. And I'm sure most people know who you are, but you were actually, you played football for USC when I was there.
Jameson Scala
Really?
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, Right before I got kicked out of the business school and had to leave. But you were there for.
Jameson Scala
You got kicked out of Marshall. Exactly.
Jeff Lewis
Did you really 85 to. Were you there 85 to 89.
Jameson Scala
I was.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. And then you went to play NFL football for 16 years, six different teams. And then meanwhile you're acting. You were on 21 Jump Street. You were on. Well, I saw you when I met him.
Holly Robinson Peete
I was on hanging with Mr. Cooper.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
And then there was. Then you guys together. Did what? Meet the Pete's. And then for Pete's sake. And then you were on the talk. And then you've been on Hallmark. So how did you two meet?
Jameson Scala
Why you look at me every time?
Holly Robinson Peete
Whose version do you want? Okay, so when I met Rodney Pete, I was dating somebody and he was dating everybody.
Jeff Lewis
Is that true, Rodney?
Jameson Scala
That is a fact.
Holly Robinson Peete
We, we met. We had a friend of ours, a couple friends of ours felt like they wanted to connect us and make a love, love connection. Lila Rochon, who's an amazing actress and Magic Johnson. So both of them knew us separately and decided that we would be good together. When I first was, before I met Rodney, I was dating this guy and I was looking like longingly staring at my two way pager. That's how long ago this was. And I was like, oh my God, just text me, just page me. And he was not. He was totally emotionally unavailable. So Lela comes over and go, remember that guy Rodney Pete the quarterback, he's having A barbecue. Let's go over to his house. And so she said, put your Daisy Dukes on, Daisy Dukes. And let's go.
Jameson Scala
Remember the Daisy Dukes.
Holly Robinson Peete
Put your Daisy Dukes on, Lego.
Jameson Scala
You're young for the Daisy Dukes.
Holly Robinson Peete
So we put our Daisy Duke. You know, Daisy Dukes. So we put our Daisy Dukes on and we put some heels. We went over to this party and Rodney's house was like five minutes from my house, which was like, okay, very close.
Jameson Scala
Right off of Mulholland.
Holly Robinson Peete
Right off of Mulholland. Like, literally just right, right across the. Right across Mulholland. So showed up at Rodney's house, walked in there, about 30 girls and five guys. All football players and all the girls.
Jeff Lewis
That's what I was gonna say.
Holly Robinson Peete
It was King's Court at your house.
Jeff Lewis
Wow.
Holly Robinson Peete
And all the girls.
Jameson Scala
Well, that number went up from like 10, three years ago. Now it's 30 girls.
Holly Robinson Peete
Because we're married 30 years. I rounded it out.
Jameson Scala
I got you.
Holly Robinson Peete
I got you. So, you know, the girls were all twirling their hair and they're like, I just want a little time with Rodney. But he just only had eyes for me.
Jameson Scala
Really?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. Because I didn't want him. All the girls were available, and I was just like, oh, hello, quarterback.
Jeff Lewis
Because you had this other guy you were obsessed with.
Holly Robinson Peete
All I wanted to do was get back to my staring at my two way so he would hit me. But I was hungry. So Lela said, let's go over to the. Let's go over to the barbecue. And there was a brisket on there. And we picked up the day before. We ate that brisket like some piranhas.
Rodney Peete
And none of those girls were gonna eat.
Holly Robinson Peete
No. The girl's like, I'm not hungry. Cause I really like Rodney. And so we took off.
Jameson Scala
My friend marinated that brisket and had it ready to go.
Holly Robinson Peete
I bet she did marinate.
Jameson Scala
It was in a smoker. No, it was Brian. So it wasn't a girl. It was in a smoker. They went in the back and just.
Holly Robinson Peete
We tore it up. Down to the bone, baby. Down to the bone. And then we were like, okay, we're done here. Work here is done. So back home. And then there's a knock on my door. And I'm like, who's here? And there's Rodney Pete with his big old smile. And I was like, don't you have a party going on at your house? What are you doing here? He goes, well, when you left, the party was over.
Jeff Lewis
I was like, he's got moves that's.
Holly Robinson Peete
Gonna get You a date. That's gonna get you one date. Let me put down this two way. Pay attention to this guy right here.
Jameson Scala
What was that date? What was that date?
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, he took me to a wine tasting party. So I thought, oh, this is a fancy black man. He taking me to a wine tasting party. You know, and we ain't going to Red Lobster.
Jameson Scala
We're going with my doctor friend.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. I'm like, you hang out with doctors, and that was the last wine tasting party we've ever been to. Thirty years later, I've never been to one.
Jeff Lewis
So when he shows up at your door, he just politely gets your number and says, I'm gonna ask you. Or do you let him? Do you invite him in?
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, I think I invited him in for a drink. Just sat and talked. And I was just like, okay, let me look a little bit deeper into.
Jameson Scala
This guy, you know, during the parties. Cause she was standoff. She was like, whatever. But we did have conversations about, we live close to each other. And I kind of worked it into the conversation. Well, where exactly do you live? It's. Oh, Woodrow Wilson. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Which house is that? Is that the one? Right. But no, no, it's 5738 or whatever she said. So I put that in the memory bank, and I went over there right afterwards.
Holly Robinson Peete
He's a quarterback.
Jeff Lewis
He's a stalker a little bit.
Holly Robinson Peete
But he's a quarterback. So he remembers plays and numbers and stuff. So that's, I think, how that works.
Jeff Lewis
You didn't think that was a little weird, that, like, 10 minutes later he's showing up at your door?
Holly Robinson Peete
I did think it was weird, but then he hit me with that line. I was like, okay, give it a shot.
Jeff Lewis
And weren't you tired from all that brisket?
Holly Robinson Peete
I did have a little brisket in my teeth. I had to mine that out.
Jeff Lewis
How long did it take to go to the wine tasting party after? So you guys meet and then. When was the first date?
Holly Robinson Peete
Soon after, about a week later.
Jeff Lewis
You didn't waste any time.
Holly Robinson Peete
But the big question was. So this is. He has to go away to training camp in July right after that. Right, right. And so he's gotta go away. And now we're just like, okay.
Jameson Scala
And I was playing in Detroit at the time.
Holly Robinson Peete
So he lived on the off season. He was in la, but then in Detroit, it's like, we gonna do this long distance thing? So that was the next big question, like, what are we gonna do with this? I love the little wine tasting party. And I think he's cute and everything, but I'm looking for a man. I forgot to mention that I went on an eat, pray love trip before that to Bali, Indonesia, where I eat, prayed and loved on the man that I needed to have.
Jeff Lewis
So you manifested, Rodney?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yep.
Jeff Lewis
And it's been 30 years. And I have a theory. These marriages that last, you know, that stand the test of time. Guest houses in adus. And that's what I asked you. I said, do you guys have a guest house? And you said, yes. And there. Proves my point. Shane.
Rodney Peete
There it is.
Holly Robinson Peete
Separate bathrooms also help. Okay, but that'd be the adu, right? There's a separate bathroom in there.
Jeff Lewis
Do you hang a lot in the guest house? I absolutely do. I knew it. I knew it.
Jameson Scala
I absolutely do.
Holly Robinson Peete
And I have no problem with that. No problem. Especially now that we have a giant great Dane that I like to sleep with.
Jameson Scala
He's taking my place.
Rodney Peete
A man's dog.
Jameson Scala
You know how you're supposed to train a dog when you first get him not to be on the couch or not to get on the bed?
Jeff Lewis
Y.
Holly Robinson Peete
He's my emotional. He's Scooby Doo. And Marmaduke had a baby, and he's my emotional support dog.
Jeff Lewis
Is he on the bed every night?
Jameson Scala
Every night?
Holly Robinson Peete
No, he.
Jameson Scala
Every night unless I put him in his cage.
Holly Robinson Peete
He loves his cage. It's a sanctuary for him. Thank God. But I like snuffing.
Jeff Lewis
How long have you had him?
Holly Robinson Peete
About a year. Almost a year, eight months, Something like that. Yeah, we rescued him. We rescued this big ass dog. He was in this cage and like, please get me out this cage. And I was like, why am I adopting the biggest dog in this little sanctuary? But I did.
Jeff Lewis
And then who walks him every day?
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, now the walking is an issue because you got to ride that baby.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah.
Holly Robinson Peete
You got a saddle pulling you.
Jameson Scala
And he.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, I bet.
Jameson Scala
I got to take him mostly. But she.
Holly Robinson Peete
I do.
Jameson Scala
She's pretty good with him now.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, he has a little anxiety. He's an anxious great Dane. I know how to pick him. But he's cuddly. He's very cuddly.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so when Rodney is not in the guest house, then the dog sleeps with you?
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, no, when he's not in the guest house, he sleeps in the. Rodney sleeps with me and we put the dog in his cage, which is very Sanctuary. He loves his little genie in the bottle. It's very.
Jameson Scala
But I'll get up at whatever time and find that he's been let out of the cage and he's on the bed.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, sometimes he needs to come out in the middle of the night.
Jameson Scala
Comes out in the middle of the night and like what is that down at my face?
Holly Robinson Peete
And he's so snuggly. You can't imagine this big ass. He's so big. But for some reason he knows how to make himself really small and fit in like just a little between your knees. He can fit right in that area. He cuddles up like a little clam.
Jeff Lewis
Now 30 years. What did you do for your 30th anniversary?
Jameson Scala
What did we do?
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, you don't remember, honey, it was two months ago.
Jameson Scala
Oh yeah. No, because we were. We were gonna do a big bash. It was June 10th. And we're gonna do a big bash and invite all the people that were in our wedding that are still together.
Holly Robinson Peete
And those who are not together.
Jameson Scala
But a lot of people were out of town.
Holly Robinson Peete
Everyone was gone.
Jameson Scala
Let's do a small dinner.
Holly Robinson Peete
Went to Gravitas, our new little favorite hangout.
Jameson Scala
Had like 12, 14 people at dinner and just.
Holly Robinson Peete
But then we celebrated later when we got. We went to Europe and we went to our honeymoon spot and we went on this big. We go on this annual amazing trip. We get the golden ticket to Magic Johnson's amazing yacht trip. So we got invited to that and then we went to Eze, which is a little beautiful medieval town in France. And we kind of recreated our 30 year anniversary, which was kind of cool. Cause that was where we honeymooned.
Jeff Lewis
Can I ask you something? There was a gift that you received and I think you posted about it and it was to celebrate your 30 years. They gave you a couple's fragrance and it was a couple friend of yours and they've developed a couple's fragrance and then they sent it to you and it says thank you for letting us share our love through fragrance with you. Does that feel self promotional? A bit. Doesn't it? And the fragrance is all pictures of them. You didn't find that weird?
Rodney Peete
Shout out to you, but here's a.
Holly Robinson Peete
Picture of me, right? Well, Ms. Tabitha is a master.
Jameson Scala
Post it, please.
Holly Robinson Peete
She is a master brand. Like this woman is amazing the way she brand build it. So I just watch her and just like I will follow her lead. But I thought that was interesting to do a couple's fragrance. Have you smelled it yet, honey?
Jeff Lewis
Well, and to give it to you for. Give it to you for your anniversary.
Jameson Scala
I didn't know what it was because I saw two big pictures of them on the box.
Jeff Lewis
I mean they're a gorgeous Couple. But, yeah, you know, I just thought that was an odd gift to get, and then. You didn't think it was weird. I mean, look, we've all done products, right? But I don't give them as gifts.
Holly Robinson Peete
I don't know. I'm just digging the whole concept of we should have thought of that. That's the bottom line. We should have thought of.
Jameson Scala
They should have put a picture of us on the box.
Jeff Lewis
I don't know.
Jameson Scala
And sent it to us.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, something like that. Personalize it. Do something.
Holly Robinson Peete
When we get home. Smell it. See if you. I really like the female fragrance, but it's supposed to. There's some pheromonal thing that happens when you rub. Yeah. So we'll see. That could be our new.
Jameson Scala
Is that a real thing?
Jeff Lewis
What else? Did she send you anything else or just the fragrance?
Holly Robinson Peete
We just got the fragrance. Fragrances.
Jameson Scala
Jeff is better.
Holly Robinson Peete
Shout out to Tab.
Jeff Lewis
Shout out to Tab.
Holly Robinson Peete
A chance.
Jeff Lewis
Paint barn doors and wallpaper and stuff. I've never, like, given someone a barn door for their birthday. You know what I mean?
Holly Robinson Peete
I love barn doors, by the way. I love me a barn door on a.
Jeff Lewis
So you guys are here to promote Kings Court. Are we promoting Queen's Court also? Might as well.
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, I mean, it's streaming. It's streaming on Peacock. I mean, people can watch it. We loved Queen's Court.
Jeff Lewis
So it's a dating show, a popular dating show that you guys host. And it was Queen's Court, and there's been two seasons of that on Peacock. And then. Can you explain the whole premise of the show?
Holly Robinson Peete
Sure. Queen's Court. Three celebrity women who have sort of lived out loud and fallen on their asses out loud. We know about their love triumphs, their love failures. And so we brought three women together with 21 men. And maybe a chance for these women who are in their 40s to find that love, to look for love and find it. And we did two seasons of Queen's Court and then Kings Court. We decided to flip the script and have three kings and bring 21 women in. And so for us as co hosts, it's a lot of fun because I got to see 21 guys and just ooh and ah on them for the Queens Court. And now.
Jameson Scala
Now it's my turn.
Holly Robinson Peete
Now the women are there for Rodney. He's very excited.
Jeff Lewis
So the men chosen were. It's Supermodel Tyson Beckford. NBA. Carlos Boozer. Yes. And then WWE. Thaddeus. Thaddeus.
Jameson Scala
Thaddeur.
Holly Robinson Peete
Thaddeus. Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
I mean, they're Hot guys.
Holly Robinson Peete
They're very hot. And fun.
Jeff Lewis
And fun. A little bit of, you know, some ego there, though. Well, because. Which one of them said, women are intimidated by our success, our reputations, our careers?
Holly Robinson Peete
That could have been any of them.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, I mean, that's not quite a humble brag. I mean, that's like, get over yourself.
Holly Robinson Peete
But that's real, because they are intimidated by it.
Jameson Scala
So they're setting reality tv. You want it to be real, don't you?
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so here's my theory. The girls were pretty, right? Pretty. I wouldn't say they're hot. I think you did that on purpose because you. When you walk in the room, you completely. Totally. And I kind of upstaged them, and I think that was by design, in all fairness.
Holly Robinson Peete
I had an amazing makeup artist and hair person. They did not. They had to do their own. They were DIY, and I'm 20 years older than these girls, so I had to come with a little extra.
Jeff Lewis
Were you involved in the casting at all?
Holly Robinson Peete
We had some say. I think they're very, very.
Jeff Lewis
Do you find it interesting that your wife was 10 times hotter than the hottest girl there?
Jameson Scala
Yeah, it was when we first walked out in the dress and the whole deal, and we saw the seven women there, and she outshined them all. But, yeah, we had some say, and, you know, I liked them all. And Holly was very choosy.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. You know, it was the dress. It was the thigh me cutouts of the dress that really shone, and then I had the best lighting, Jeff. So I just had all the elements.
Jameson Scala
That was it.
Holly Robinson Peete
I had everything but the dress.
Jeff Lewis
I needed to be rude, but I did ask you if you were wearing underwear, because you couldn't have been.
Holly Robinson Peete
No way. You could not. You could not.
Jeff Lewis
You kept that dress, I hope.
Holly Robinson Peete
Look at Rodney's face. The look on Rodney's face is my favorite, because that was when he was first seeing it. I hid it from him. Like, on our wedding day, they would.
Jameson Scala
Catch me looking down at her from behind.
Holly Robinson Peete
I was very excited about that dress.
Jameson Scala
Look up, look up.
Holly Robinson Peete
How the hell do you keep it spicy at 30 years? You got to bring some thigh meat.
Jeff Lewis
Now, you were joking that it took three hours to get ready. It didn't take three hours, did it?
Holly Robinson Peete
It did. No, it took almost an hour just to get into the dress.
Jameson Scala
No.
Holly Robinson Peete
And then I had to, like, air brush some of the stuff on the side, and I had to shave, and I had to do a lot of stuff.
Jeff Lewis
Now we're only two episodes in.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
So we really don't know. I mean, can you tease it a little bit? Like, does somebody meet a long term love? I don't know. The chances are the three men. Not every one of them will. But does at least one. Just say at least one?
Holly Robinson Peete
We are not allowed to say that shit. No, but we can say. What we can say is that. That we were very happy for a couple. One or more of the Kings.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. Because there was one. Because there's one very strong connection that's happened immediately, and I believe it's with Carlos and then.
Holly Robinson Peete
And Janae.
Jeff Lewis
I like her. I do like her. I think she's pretty. I mean, she's no Holly Robinson Pete, but she's. But she's pretty and she's cool.
Jameson Scala
She is cool.
Holly Robinson Peete
She's cool and she vibes. They hit it off immediately.
Jeff Lewis
Immediately. With the little goats and the yoga and the whole thing. Now when Tyson Beckford, when he went on his first date and went skydiving. I'm out.
Holly Robinson Peete
Me and you both.
Jeff Lewis
There's. I don't.
Rodney Peete
I don't care what in skydive for Tyson.
Jeff Lewis
I don't care who it is.
Holly Robinson Peete
Skydive for Rodney Pete. I just. I don't do the adrenaline junkie thing.
Jameson Scala
But that's who he is.
Holly Robinson Peete
Correct. No, I love that he did that. I love that he did that and I love that both women said, okay, we're gonna do it.
Jeff Lewis
That was crazy.
Holly Robinson Peete
A first date, jumping out of a plane.
Jeff Lewis
No way.
Holly Robinson Peete
No, thanks.
Jeff Lewis
It just seemed a little desperado for the girls. I mean, I. I would have more. I would have had more respect for one of them to be like, I'm not doing this.
Holly Robinson Peete
I'm not doing this.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, fuck off, Tyson Beckford. I'm not doing this.
Holly Robinson Peete
I was. I was blown away by that. I could not believe that when we found out.
Jameson Scala
And they would have found themselves at the elimination dinner right away.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, they would have been gone.
Jameson Scala
Yeah.
Rodney Peete
Sitting with Jet.
Jeff Lewis
I do think, if you don't mind.
Holly Robinson Peete
Poor baby, poor Jenny.
Jeff Lewis
I would like to be a part of casting of season two.
Holly Robinson Peete
Okay.
Jeff Lewis
I'm just gonna cast a bunch of hookers. I think, like hot ass hookers. The ones that make them crazy. Like I want to. Because the guys, they're too full of themselves right now. They know they're. You know what I'm saying? Like, they know they're in control. We need crazy hot girls that send them. I don't know. Do you know what I'm saying? That make them nuts, where they're actually fighting over them.
Rodney Peete
You Want to see them unravel.
Holly Robinson Peete
But that's just. That's just for sex, right? So we're really trying to find couples that, you know, like, these guys have been through some stuff, like some serious stuff, and they are looking for someone with substance. Right.
Jeff Lewis
I hate to tell you this, Holly Robinson Pete, but that's where it starts. And that's why your husband was interested in you in the first place. And that's why 30 years later, he still wants to have sex with you.
Holly Robinson Peete
I wasn't giving hooker back then, was I?
Jeff Lewis
I think you probably were in those.
Rodney Peete
Daisy Dukes, showing up and grabbing the meat and leaving.
Jameson Scala
Daisy Dukes.
Rodney Peete
Dine and dash and the Daisy Dukes.
Jameson Scala
Not everybody could wear them.
Holly Robinson Peete
I stand corrected.
Jeff Lewis
Now I told you I have someone. A perfect contestant for Queen's Court season.
Rodney Peete
For King's Court season two.
Holly Robinson Peete
She should be one.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, yes. Kings Court, season two. Sorry.
Holly Robinson Peete
She needs to be one of the potential queens now.
Jameson Scala
Would she drive the guys crazy as well?
Jeff Lewis
Oh, yes.
Rodney Peete
And she is ready for a husband. She's ready for her baby. She's beautiful. I think she's the perfect.
Jeff Lewis
I do, too.
Rodney Peete
The perfect girl.
Jeff Lewis
She's gonna be a standout. Standout.
Rodney Peete
America's sweetheart.
Jameson Scala
Lock her in.
Holly Robinson Peete
We're down. Just hook us up.
Jeff Lewis
Did you guys watch Love Hotel?
Holly Robinson Peete
I don't watch Love Hotel.
Jeff Lewis
It's slow compared to your show.
Holly Robinson Peete
Our daughter, Love Hotel, I liked it.
Jeff Lewis
But your show moves quicker.
Holly Robinson Peete
It's a quick clip, and I love it.
Jeff Lewis
Is it a shorter show? Is it 30 minutes? 40 minutes?
Holly Robinson Peete
A little bit shorter.
Jameson Scala
40 minutes.
Holly Robinson Peete
I believe the clock on our show is super tight. So with Queen's Court, we would sit at the elimination dinners for felt like hours. And we would get so much footage. And I loved it. It built up the drama. Kings Court is like, okay. We didn't even get a chance to bite into the food before. It's like, bye, bye.
Jeff Lewis
I prefer that. I really. I have fear ADD and I just breezed right through that show. I feel. I love. I like the Love Hotel. I just think if they shortened it to 40 minutes, I could. I could just binge it, the whole.
Rodney Peete
Thing, the drama a little bit, but.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, you guys get paid a lot for that.
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, we got kids.
Jeff Lewis
School good.
Jameson Scala
Yeah, it was a nice day.
Jeff Lewis
And you've got three of them now.
Holly Robinson Peete
We've got kids everywhere. Just college bleeding us. Yeah, these kids are expensive as hell.
Jeff Lewis
What's USC tuition now?
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, 150,000, wasn't it? Rodney?
Jeff Lewis
No, Rodney, seriously.
Holly Robinson Peete
No, it's like 70 or 75. It's crazy.
Jameson Scala
Well, with. Yeah, with room and board and all that stuff, too.
Jeff Lewis
Is he in the dorm?
Jameson Scala
Six. Six figures.
Holly Robinson Peete
You got him a little cute apartment downtown.
Jeff Lewis
You?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Why didn't you do the dorms?
Holly Robinson Peete
He didn't want to be in the dorm, and he's my buddy.
Jeff Lewis
I didn't want to be in the buddy dorms either. I didn't have a choice.
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, you know, down. It's still in the. You know.
Jeff Lewis
Were you in the dorms, Rodney?
Jameson Scala
I was. Which one I was in was called Fluor Tower, just to begin with.
Jeff Lewis
I remember that. I was in college. Uni.
Jameson Scala
College, Uni. Yep. Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, that was fun times. I missed that.
Holly Robinson Peete
I went to Sarah Lawrence College.
Jeff Lewis
You did? That's. Oh, you're smart.
Holly Robinson Peete
I mean. I mean, you know, I met a lot of nice lesbians there.
Jeff Lewis
Speaking of Raven. Simone.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, my boo Boo.
Jeff Lewis
She was your bridesmaid, was she not?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes, she was.
Jeff Lewis
I'm sorry. It's Simone now.
Holly Robinson Peete
Simone.
Jeff Lewis
Did you know that?
Holly Robinson Peete
I did not know. Did she change it?
Rodney Peete
Apparently there's an accent over the E, so now she's saying that makes it Simone.
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, yeah, but she never pronounced it before.
Jeff Lewis
She didn't?
Rodney Peete
Now she does.
Jeff Lewis
Now she does.
Holly Robinson Peete
When I tell you, was there always an accent? Yeah, when I tell you. I love that person so much. When we were on hanging with Mr. Cooper together, we would go to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles and disappear. And then we would play Salt and Pepper and Vogue in the car. She was my homie, and she was the most mature young lady. And so when I asked her to be in my wedding, I was so glad that she said yes. I love her. Love her.
Jeff Lewis
Are you still close with her?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. She came to my star ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard. When I saw her, I just. Because I just loved. I just love her. She's been through a lot in her life. You know, her brother passed, her dad passed, and I knew all of them because they were always in the set of hanging with Mr. Cooper. She's just one of my favorite people.
Jeff Lewis
She has been on this show twice and. Is she married?
Holly Robinson Peete
Married?
Jeff Lewis
No.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, she married.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, she married Miranda. Oh, but she didn't invite you to her wedding?
Holly Robinson Peete
No, I didn't get invited to her wedding. Did she have a wedding?
Jeff Lewis
I don't want to start anything. I don't know, because we were all invited, weren't we?
Holly Robinson Peete
How was it, Jeff.
Jameson Scala
But you don't want start anything.
Jeff Lewis
It was a beautiful wedding. You would have loved it.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, send me pictures.
Jeff Lewis
No, I don't. No.
Rodney Peete
They had a very small ceremony.
Holly Robinson Peete
It says thank you. Thank you. I feel better now. Cuz she was front and center at my wedding.
Jeff Lewis
To be a bridesmaid.
Holly Robinson Peete
How about that? I guess we not as close as I thought. I've been trying to bother her for a hang with Mr. Cooper reboot which she's like the sole holdout. She does not want to do that.
Jeff Lewis
What?
Holly Robinson Peete
I just don't think she had a good. Other than our relationship, I just don't think she had a great experience on that show. She was a child actor and it was tough. Right? She was at county fairs every weekend. She was working her ass off. And so I don't think she has great memories.
Jameson Scala
She was like what?
Holly Robinson Peete
Like eight, nine? She was a young girl.
Jeff Lewis
You're not talking to the right person. Why you got to get in with Miranda? Miranda loves money.
Holly Robinson Peete
She.
Jeff Lewis
She's really cool. I really like her. She's. They've. They've been hurt. They've been on twice. You gotta talk to her.
Holly Robinson Peete
I like Miranda.
Jeff Lewis
She'll get her to do it.
Holly Robinson Peete
She is sassy. I love them together.
Jeff Lewis
But Miranda will put her. She'll put her right back to work. That's who you got to talk to.
Holly Robinson Peete
That's kind of like you, Rodney.
Jameson Scala
Yeah. I put you to work all the time.
Holly Robinson Peete
He's my pimp. Yeah.
Jameson Scala
Go get it, baby. Go get it.
Jeff Lewis

Now, the reason I bring that up, I know you guys don't. You didn't come to me and be like, let's promote this. I'm bringing it up because I have a personal interest in it. It's a prescription medication for adults and it treats symptoms associated with an overactive bladder.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes. Oab.
Jeff Lewis
That, that's me, honey and Jameson.
Holly Robinson Peete
I peed twice last night and woke up and had to pee again. I couldn't believe it.
Jeff Lewis
Now, Rodney, he also, this poor guy, he also has ibs.
Holly Robinson Peete
Thanks, Jeff. Oh, man. All the acronyms.
Jeff Lewis
Anything that could help him with that?
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, my gosh. Well, we'll stick to, we'll stick to number one on this show.
Jameson Scala
I can't help you with the ibs, but I can certainly recommend Jim Tessa for you because it's, it's definitely, you know, for us of a certain age.
Jeff Lewis
Yes, certainly works.
Holly Robinson Peete
And it really, what I discovered when I started working with them is it's not really. I thought it was just like menopause and like, why am I having to go all the time? And it really is an actual situation. Like you have to get diagnosed and then, but it has been great for me. And then like, I've been working with them for like three years, four years. And it occurred to me that this was working for me, but yet I had a partner that was still going all the time. Like, and so she would wake you up.
Jameson Scala
She was holding out on me, though. She wouldn't tell me about it.
Jeff Lewis
No, you started taking it and didn't tell him 100%.
Holly Robinson Peete
The world knew, Jeff. I was doing prep tours. Pay attention to what your wife is doing. Pims has his hand out just to get the money.
Jameson Scala
There was a check coming.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, but, but. And then after a while I was like. And Then they. They actually decided that or the pharmaceutical company figured out how it really could work with men. How men have. Obviously, y' all have different plumbing and piping, but turns out now that Rodney is now my partner in promoting and talking about Gemtessa, so we have sort of a husband and wife vibe going here with us.
Jeff Lewis
How many times were you going a night, Rodney?
Jameson Scala
I was more than that. I was going three.
Jeff Lewis
No.
Jameson Scala
Oh, yeah.
Jeff Lewis
And that disturbs your sleep 100%.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, totally.
Jeff Lewis
And you're asleep, Holly.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes. And Atlas sleep.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, God. I went last night. But the problem is, is before I go, I don't know if you do this. Like, I had to go two hours prior. Do you ever do this and you didn't go? No, I always. Hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it. Because I don't want to get up, because then it's going to be hard for me to go back to sleep. But then, inevitably, you have to. Do I need gem. Tessa?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. Come on.
Jameson Scala
Do you try all the remedies? Like, don't drink water after this hour before you go to sleep?
Holly Robinson Peete
It doesn't matter if you have overactive bladder. It laughs at water.
Jameson Scala
But I was the same way. I tried to hold water, I tried to hold it. I tried to hold off for a while. And, you know, but it's. It's that pressure that just keeps building and building and building. It won't let you sleep. So you.
Jeff Lewis
That's what happens.
Holly Robinson Peete
Or even during the day, like when you're doing your radio show and you have to sit for three hours, you know, you gotta run.
Jameson Scala
Yeah. Every break. I used to.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. So it's been doing well for him.
Jeff Lewis
And I'm happy. Long drives. Can't do it. Can't do long drives.
Holly Robinson Peete
Guess what else we can't do? What I can't do, I have a Porta Potty fear phobia. So if I'm going to Beyonce, you know, I can't hold. It was like. The first time I realized this stuff was really helping me was when I went to her concert. I didn't have to go the whole time.
Rodney Peete
They wouldn't make you use a porta Potty.
Jeff Lewis
And you're probably backstage anyway after the.
Holly Robinson Peete
Show, during the show, you know, I don't do Porta Potties or long lines and bathrooms and stadiums. And so it's been. It's been great for us. And you don't want to hold it too long because then. Then you find yourself on the street corner, you know, dipping between two cars.
Jeff Lewis
You're an asshole for saying that right now. Don't embarrass me in front of the Pete's.
Holly Robinson Peete
Do the Pete's not know that? Sorry. I didn't realize that. I'm so sorry.
Jameson Scala
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, my God. I can't believe I just did you. Peace on the street.
Jameson Scala
That's out of the bag now.
Holly Robinson Peete
Did you.
Jeff Lewis
I cannot believe you just said that.
Holly Robinson Peete
I thought they knew. Between cars.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so this happened recently. Holly and Rodney. I had to go so bad while I was walked. Walking the dog because it was. I did a longer walk that I case. This car was parked next to the curb. I sat down on the curb. I got up my phone as if I was on my phone. The dog was sitting right next to me. And fortunately, my shorts were short enough where I could lift it up. And then I just went to the bathroom right there in the curb.
Jameson Scala
The old lift up is pee. Yes, I know it well.
Holly Robinson Peete
Lift up.
Jameson Scala
I've done that driving, by the way.
Jeff Lewis
You get a drive in.
Jameson Scala
Oh, yeah. With the shorts that you can just pull over. Yeah, absolutely.
Holly Robinson Peete
Are you peeing between two cars? Can we suggest.
Jameson Scala
I can see it now. That's a great promo.
Holly Robinson Peete
But you guys can do that like women. We. We cannot just pull it over to the side and do that like so. It's a whole big thing. So. So I'm very thankful to be doing this Jim Tezza campaign. It's really helped me live my life. And I don't have to. I can have a window seat. I don't have to worry about climbing over people on the airplane, because that was the other thing.
Jeff Lewis
When you talk to them again, can you ask them about Jameson Scala's IBS and see if they can prescribe anything for him?
Holly Robinson Peete
We're gonna just keep going back and forth. I got you, James. Got you.
Jeff Lewis
I'm just curious. Just a couple questions for you. What was your wedding song, Rodney? Don't say it, Holly.
Jameson Scala
Oh, it was Jeffrey Osborne limited.
Holly Robinson Peete
No, no, no. Don't sing it, honey.
Jameson Scala
That's not what we were doing.
Holly Robinson Peete
No, no, he just asked what it was. He did not ask whatsoever.
Jameson Scala
Love ballad.
Holly Robinson Peete
Of course.
Jeff Lewis
The reason I question whether he remembers is that we were talking about your new house, which apparently is not so new because Rodney said you've been living there for a year, and you're like, we've been there for three years. Yeah, time flies.
Holly Robinson Peete
Hello. Hello. Yes. Love by ltd. Ltd. Jeffrey Osborne, one of our favorite singers.
Jeff Lewis
What's Holly's favorite drink?
Jameson Scala
Ooh.
Holly Robinson Peete
Come on.
Jameson Scala
It is A.
Holly Robinson Peete
Are you serious? It's taking this long?
Jameson Scala
Yes, it is. It is.
Holly Robinson Peete
A been married 30 years.
Jameson Scala
What's that mojito that you love?
Holly Robinson Peete
No, no. Mojito Boo. Boo do. Gosh.
Jameson Scala
What is it?
Holly Robinson Peete
What? A. A lychee martini.
Jameson Scala
Lychee martini or lychee.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, that's a good one.
Jameson Scala
Lychee martini. That's right. Well, you change it up because you were drinking on the boat. Something different.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, no, I was drinking an Aperol spritz.
Jameson Scala
There you go. So I thought that one may be.
Holly Robinson Peete
Because, you know, that's when you. In Italy, you got to drink an Aperol spritz.
Jeff Lewis
What's Holly's favorite movie, Rodney?
Holly Robinson Peete
Come on.
Jameson Scala
Oh, Blazing Saddles.
Holly Robinson Peete
Blazing Saddles. Okay. That was one of the main ways we connected.
Jeff Lewis
What's Holly's biggest pet peeve about you, Rodney?
Jameson Scala
Ooh.
Jeff Lewis
What'd she complain to you most about?
Jameson Scala
Asking her questions over and over again.
Jeff Lewis
Is that true?
Holly Robinson Peete
That's one of them.
Jeff Lewis
So, wait, he asks you a question, you give him the answer, and then he asks the same question again? Yeah, I do that shit.
Holly Robinson Peete
What are we doing today? Jeff Lewis Live. What show are we doing again today?
Jameson Scala
If I'm sitting next to you, I'm driving or whatever, I don't have time to look in the calendar and see what's next or what's going on.
Jeff Lewis
Just take.
Jameson Scala
Tell me what we got this afternoon. What are we doing? Okay.
Holly Robinson Peete
Jeff Lewis Live. Hun.
Jeff Lewis
Do you know Holly's zodiac sign?
Holly Robinson Peete
Come on.
Jameson Scala
Oh, yeah, yeah, I do.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Jameson Scala
She's.
Jeff Lewis
I can't believe.
Jameson Scala
She'S a Virgo is what she is. She's a Virgo.
Jeff Lewis
Is that true?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Jameson Scala
Yeah, she's a Virgo.
Jeff Lewis
Do you have a piece of clothing that she hates that she's always criticizing you about?
Holly Robinson Peete
Come on, Rodney. Come on, Rodney. What? Don't I what? When you put on. I'm like, why are you wearing that? Take that off. Take that off from underneath your stuff. Do you need me to give you. Baby, you are not doing well today.
Jameson Scala
Wow. I didn't know there were things that you didn't like about me.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, my gosh. When you put on your suits, what do I. You always want to put it on underneath. And I say, please take that off. You look like a wig waiter.
Jameson Scala
Oh, she hates me wearing vests. Yeah. She hates me wearing vests.
Jeff Lewis
Do people wear vests anymore?
Holly Robinson Peete
Rodney does. Underneath his suits. He loves him a good vest.
Jameson Scala
I only started.
Jeff Lewis
It's actually very slimming, though.
Jameson Scala
Yeah, it is.
Jeff Lewis
Vests are Slimming.
Holly Robinson Peete
A good vest.
Jameson Scala
Yeah. Harvey Specter in suits wears vests.
Holly Robinson Peete
His show.
Jameson Scala
I'm a big fan, so love.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, let's mention Rodney's radio show. It's a big deal. You're on every single day.
Jameson Scala
Every single day.
Jeff Lewis
Three hours.
Jameson Scala
Three hours. AM 570. Yeah. I heart rate with my man Fred Rogan.
Jeff Lewis
How long you been doing that?
Jameson Scala
About eight years now.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, that show. But were you doing another show before?
Jameson Scala
No. Well, I've done a few shows since I retired. I did a show on Fox called Best Damn Sports show back in the day, which was a lot of fun. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jeff Lewis
So you've been doing this last one for eight years? Eight years, yeah.
Jameson Scala
With Fred. Yeah. It's good.
Jeff Lewis
And then what's going on with Hallmark? Are you doing any more? Are you a Christmas queen?
Holly Robinson Peete
A little bit.
Jeff Lewis
That's what I thought. How many Christmas movies have you.
Jameson Scala
You done 72,000.
Holly Robinson Peete
I've probably done about 13.
Jeff Lewis
You're a Christmas queen.
Rodney Peete
You're a queen.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, I've got one. I just did one. One came out. It wasn't Christmas. It was more of a Kentucky Derby theme movie. And I got a couple coming out in 26.
Jeff Lewis
Do you watch her movies, Rodney? I do all of them.
Jameson Scala
I do all of them.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Jameson Scala
Yeah, I definitely do. Why are you looking at me like that, Jack?
Holly Robinson Peete
And he got his hand in. Bitch better have my money.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. Does he manage the money and keep track of all the money?
Holly Robinson Peete
My pimp. I told you, he's my husband and my pimp.
Jeff Lewis
So you just give him your paycheck?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes, honey.
Jameson Scala
Well, you know the Hallmark movies, they keep them clean too. So I don't have to worry about her doing any kind of.
Jeff Lewis
She's not wearing the dress that she wore at King's Court.
Jameson Scala
See what I'm saying?
Holly Robinson Peete
And I'm working with him so he can kind of monitor all that.
Jeff Lewis
You have your own closet, right?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
You do not share with Rodney, do you?
Holly Robinson Peete
He tries to put some suits in there, but.
Jeff Lewis
But what happens?
Holly Robinson Peete
He has a little corner of my closet. Our house is a little challenged closet wise. Like, we don't have the walk in closet.
Jeff Lewis
We need you, Jeff.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes, we. We're really struggling with our closets. So he's got clothes everywhere. He's got clothes in all the closets.
Jeff Lewis
So do you want to do an addition or do you want to work within the footprint of the house?
Holly Robinson Peete
Work within the footprint.
Jeff Lewis
I'll look at it.
Holly Robinson Peete
We want to push out. We want to push out and have our.
Jeff Lewis
So you do want to push out.
Holly Robinson Peete
You want to our master. We want to push back into the garage and make our master bigger. I see we have a garage behind our bathroom. Or use the garage.
Jeff Lewis
It is. Separate closets is another secret to a happy marriage. Yes, we're doing that right now in the parlisses beautiful closets.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Where she's like, I want him out of my closet. I don't care. She's willing to give up. They have a huge bathroom. She goes, take whatever you need at the bathroom.
Holly Robinson Peete
That's it.
Jeff Lewis
I want this closet and I don't want him in here anymore. And she wants like that fingerprint lock. She wants seating in there. She wants to lock herself in.
Holly Robinson Peete
There's kind of girls.
Rodney Peete
People in there.
Holly Robinson Peete
That's my kind of girl. Girl. Because that's what I want too.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, you have to have it.
Holly Robinson Peete
I mean, like my own, like sort of almost like a she shed. Like it's my own hangout spot now.
Jeff Lewis
With the Holly Rod Foundation. What percentage goes to charity? Because I'm thinking of starting my own charity. Because you could do like 1% actually give 1% to charity.
Holly Robinson Peete
No, if I can stay close to 70. 70 is the number that we try to stick to.
Jeff Lewis
70 for you.
Jameson Scala
No.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, yeah. 30 to cherry. But now, you know, just like fund funding is so difficult, especially when you have a, I hate to say this, black led or black owned co founded charity because all of the corporations are cutting their DEI budget. So that bucket that they donate to charities that are, you know, diverse has just almost dried up. So now we have to go to sort of our friends and family. Friends and family to get, you know, to really to fund this thing. It's. It's been a challenge.
Jeff Lewis
We've been trying to fundraise here for Doug's roof. Doug Buten, he's a co host of ours. And somebody came, came up with a really good idea, but we're still kind of flushing it out through legal, right, Jameson?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. They want to do. What is it?
Jeff Lewis
We want to do a raffle. So what happens is, you know, radio.
Holly Robinson Peete
Rodney knows radio. It gets very complicated.
Jeff Lewis
We want to do a little raffle where we raffle. Like, look, we raffle off $50,000 worth of tickets, right? But then say that you buy five tickets and you win 25,000 and then we give Doug the other 25,000. Do you know what I'm saying?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, that's. The dodgers do that. A 50, 50 raffle.
Jeff Lewis
See, why can't we do a 50, 50 raffle?
Holly Robinson Peete
Everybody else you're not the Dodgers.
Jeff Lewis
Everybody else is doing it.
Holly Robinson Peete
We're not the Dodgers.
Jeff Lewis
We can make a lot of money.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
What if we did a raffle like the Dodgers?
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, I'll contact the Dodgers and what submission is for his roof?
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, he needs a new roof.
Holly Robinson Peete
It's very. There's a lot of rules, a lot of laws. What's wrong with your roof?
Jeff Lewis
No, it's not his. It's Doug, another co host.
Holly Robinson Peete
What's wrong with Doug's roof?
Jeff Lewis
It's leaking. But we have. He's got 12,000 saved. We need another 18,000 so we get him a roof.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, it'll happen. You can do it.
Jeff Lewis
Well, if we did the raffle, we.
Holly Robinson Peete
Could go for it.
Jeff Lewis
You guys want to buy some tickets while you're here?
Holly Robinson Peete
Sure, let's do it.
Jameson Scala
Well, Doug out.
Jeff Lewis
I'll talk to Rodney. Cuz he has the money.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, yeah, he got it. I just hand it off to him.
Jeff Lewis
Do you? Oh, so do you. Does he give you an allowance?
Holly Robinson Peete
No, no, I just.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. What happens when you go shopping?
Jameson Scala
That baby buys whatever she wants.
Holly Robinson Peete
I'm not a big shopper, you know, I like trips. I like to travel more. You know, I don't like. I'm not a big purse girl. I don't need. I don't have a Birkin. I'm not that girl. I like. I like to travel and I like to. I like to buy stuff off Instagram. I like to buy a new dog bowl that it has like water streaming in. You know how dogs like to drink water? That's coming up.
Jeff Lewis
I got one of those.
Holly Robinson Peete
You do? Does it work? Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Yes. And the cats drink from it. The problem is it's a mess.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, it is.
Jeff Lewis
Water's everywhere. You're just gonna be constantly wiping water off the floor. But it's okay they're drinking water.
Jameson Scala
Yeah, that's.
Holly Robinson Peete
I like that.
Jeff Lewis
So have you heard of the housewife Shuffle?
Holly Robinson Peete
No, what is that?
Jeff Lewis
It's basically what you do to avoid Rodney seeing big purchases, is if you go into, say, Neiman Marcus and you bought something, an article of clothing for two grand, you put it on multiple credit cards. Because that way he's only seeing like 400, 300, 500. He's not seeing 2000 because Rodney probably not going to question. He's not going to question $400, but he might question question 2000.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, that's really important.
Jeff Lewis
We have a lot of. Lot of housewives that call in a housewife shuffle. They'll get cash back at the grocery store. They'll buy gift cards at the grocery store and then use them. So he's thinking it's on, you know, if you go to Erewhon or Gelson's. He doesn't.
Rodney Peete
He's seeing Feeding our family. I'm so grateful.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
You're buying $600 in groceries, but you got a $200 gift card for Holly to use for dog bowls. Interesting.
Holly Robinson Peete
For my dog bowls.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah.
Jameson Scala
Cause I do see the Amex bill, but I. I don't. She actually has that set up. She's got like three or four credit cards. You can probably do that.
Holly Robinson Peete
Okay. I knew there would be some takeaway. I didn't know it'd be this good.
Jameson Scala
You're welcome. You're welcome.
Jeff Lewis
Did Chaz Dean give you a free blow dryer?
Holly Robinson Peete
No, I'm still waiting for my tools. He's not giving me. He's a little.
Jameson Scala
He gave us a lot of win.
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, honey. He gives us a lot of win. I have not seen the tools. I need the hair tools.
Jeff Lewis
You know, it's 300 bucks.
Holly Robinson Peete
I know.
Jeff Lewis
It's like Costco right now for like 199. But he's been. He's been passing them out around here like candy. Those blow dryers.
Holly Robinson Peete
I might show up tomorrow.
Jeff Lewis
I cannot believe he hasn't given you one yet.
Holly Robinson Peete
And I've been asking.
Jeff Lewis
Sarah has one, and she just went.
Holly Robinson Peete
By with flawless curls. Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
You need a Wen blow dryer.
Holly Robinson Peete
I sure do. Because that Dyson is ridiculous.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so I do want to remind everyone. King's Court airing now on Bravo, Sundays at 9pm and then it streams the next day on Peacock. Is that correct?
Holly Robinson Peete
That's right.
Jeff Lewis
It is a fun show. It is a quick show. The guys are. Are hot. The girls are pretty. Holly's hot. And then now. Now that I'm into Kings Court, now I want to check out Queen's Court.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
Because there's 21 hot guys, right?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah. And so some interesting fellas there.
Jeff Lewis
Really?
Holly Robinson Peete
Oh, gosh. There's some interesting fashion choices. Please watch it. Just. And call me and tell me what you think, because those. The guys are.
Jeff Lewis
But are they actual eligible guys or are they just people that want to be in.
Holly Robinson Peete
There's always have the people that want to be on tv, but there are a couple that. There are like real, real guys. Bachelors that want to. You know, we.
Jameson Scala
Yeah, there was some matches. Really? On Queen's Court. Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
See, that's why I want Lakendra on King's Court because she's legit. She's legit. Really love looking for love. And she's. I mean, I really think she is a catch.
Rodney Peete
And the girls will get hotter on King's Court. It's classic, like, dating show where they put the uggos out first that the men fall in love with. Then they bring in hot ones later to test how much they really like.
Jeff Lewis
Is it true, Rodney, that you put the uggos first?
Jameson Scala
Yeah, I would say that.
Holly Robinson Peete
I would say that it's just formula.
Jameson Scala
I cannot lie to Jeff Lewis.
Holly Robinson Peete
Not the uggos. That should be a cereal.
Jeff Lewis
So, uggos, when do we see the real hot ones? When do they come in?
Holly Robinson Peete
There are some real hot ones.
Jeff Lewis
Cause we've seen seven.
Holly Robinson Peete
Well, we got more. We got more coming.
Jeff Lewis
How many more girls are coming?
Rodney Peete
20 more girls.
Jameson Scala
21 totals.
Holly Robinson Peete
We got more.
Jameson Scala
No, wait. So there's 14 now. Yeah, 14 now. So we got another set of now.
Jeff Lewis
Because of episode two, right?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, so now we have 14 girls, but we're getting more.
Jameson Scala
Seven more.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, yeah. Any prostitutes?
Jameson Scala
Jeff, you know, as much as I tried, they wouldn't go for it on this season.
Jeff Lewis
Your wife is such a cock blocker.
Jameson Scala
I know, I know. I don't understand it.
Jeff Lewis
30 years, baby, which kid did you. You went. Didn't you go into labor at an Oscar party?
Jameson Scala
Oh, wow.
Holly Robinson Peete
Yes. Which kid at Crustacean? Beverly Hills?
Jeff Lewis
That's so she.
Holly Robinson Peete
EBONY magazine party. And I should. I was doing too. Way too damn much. And I was so pregnant. And I was supposed to go to the Oscars with Chris Rock's wife. Ex wife. The time they were married.
Jameson Scala
And yeah, he was hosting that year.
Holly Robinson Peete
He was hosting that year. I was supposed to and did too much. And my water broke all over Samuel L. Jackson.
Jameson Scala
We fought because I went home. I had to go home, relieve the babysitter and go home. And I tried to get her.
Holly Robinson Peete
She was trying to get me to go home, but I was like, huh?
Jeff Lewis
So you went home and then she went into labor?
Holly Robinson Peete
Yeah, yeah. And the ambulance came and the paparazzi's taking pictures. And I was so mad at the time, but then. Those are my favorite pictures now, I bet.
Jeff Lewis
What were you wearing?
Holly Robinson Peete
A cute little black dress, Just all belly.
Jameson Scala
I bet.
Jeff Lewis
You look so good.
Rodney Peete
And glam hair, full honey lashes.
Jeff Lewis
Did you go to Cedars?
Holly Robinson Peete
Okay, now that's another issue.
Jeff Lewis
What happened?
Holly Robinson Peete
I was supposed to go to Cedars, but because we were closer to ucla.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Holly Robinson Peete
But this Trojan didn't want me to have my baby. That's the sickest shit you've ever heard in your life. That is some sick shit right there.
Jameson Scala
They took her to ucla. I left the house and met her at ucla. She was already there because the ambulance, they're contracted, I guess to go to a certain place.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, and.
Jameson Scala
And got there. I said, how long is she in labor? How long we got? Oh, we got that. Oh, we got time. Let's go.
Holly Robinson Peete
He drove me bumping.
Jeff Lewis
No shit.
Jameson Scala
We jumped into my car.
Holly Robinson Peete
No child of mine is gonna be born at ucla.
Jameson Scala
Damn right.
Holly Robinson Peete
Look at that. Look at that.
Jeff Lewis
So you went to usc?
Jameson Scala
Yeah, no, we went to Cedars.
Jeff Lewis
You went to Cedars where our doctor was. You rolled in in full glam, looking amazing.
Holly Robinson Peete
Look, look at my right hand as there's a whole two way pager back here.
Jeff Lewis
You're so lucky it was at Crustacean and not Chili's. I mean that is.
Rodney Peete
That is a ton of labor.
Jameson Scala
You know crustaceans too, right? Of course. I do remember before they renovated, they had the stream of water under. Yeah, some of that is.
Holly Robinson Peete
Fun fact. Star Jones ex husband is the one that put the tablecloth around me.
Jeff Lewis
