This show. I mean, you guys really start some shit.
Jeff Lewis
I'm sorry if I'm coming off as an asshole. I just want people to do their jobs.
Garcelle Beauvais
Jeff Lewis has Issues.
Jeff Lewis
Hey, welcome to Jeff Lewis Has Issues. In today's episode, Sutton Strack and Doug Button join the show. We talk about used shoes, Avi's whereabouts, and Sutton's relationship with Garcelle. I have so many questions for you.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, no.
Jeff Lewis
First one, where's Avi?
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, I'm going to imagine that Avi's at home.
Jeff Lewis
So Avi is still working for you or.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, in my opinion, uh, oh. In my opinion, Avi is no longer working with me now. We're still friends. I love Avi. He's like family. But no, he's no longer working with me.
Jeff Lewis
Did he find another position? Was it just not working out? Like, what prompted him to leave?
Garcelle Beauvais
Everything was working out. It's just, you know, things evolve and so, you know, he's no longer with me.
Sutton Strack
When did that happen?
Jeff Lewis
Did he find another position?
Garcelle Beauvais
I don't know. I don't know. I've been really busy. I've been traveling a lot in the past couple of months, so we haven't really spoken.
Kathy Hilton
Did you not need him as much?
Garcelle Beauvais
I think. Well, you know, I'm about to just live by myself in my house, so things have just evolved and it's different now.
Jeff Lewis
How long did he work for you?
Garcelle Beauvais
You know, I met him in 20. He was the property manager of where my store was And I started renting there. I had a writing partner named Jeff Festa. And so we. I've rented a little space in the back. And then I had. And then we kept moving spaces and I had my storefront for three years before I actually put my store in there. So that's how I met him.
Jeff Lewis
Wait a minute. Hold back up for a second.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Did you say Jeff Festa?
Garcelle Beauvais
Uh huh. Do you know him?
Jeff Lewis
Does he work for 32 flavors now?
Sutton Strack
Yeah, that I met.
Jeff Lewis
I know Jeff Fassler.
Garcelle Beauvais
He's one of my best friends.
Jeff Lewis
Shout out.
Garcelle Beauvais
Jeff Fassey.
Jeff Lewis
I had no idea.
Garcelle Beauvais
So we are writing partners and we wrote a screenplay together, and it was on Almont Drive. So that's how I met Avi, and we became really good friends. So he was just the property manager there. And later, a few years later, I said, well, do you want to manage my property on Soma Way, where I lived in Bel Air? And so he did that. And then it was about two and a half years ago when Josh, my old assistant, he left. And so I said, avi, do you wanna try this? He'd never been an assistant before. So he came on, which I was so thankful that I had him. I trusted him. And, you know, we had a good time.
Jeff Lewis
And he did a good job for you.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, he was great.
Jeff Lewis
So he managed the house, the construction, all of that. The new house on the main road.
Garcelle Beauvais
That's right. Well, on the boulevard.
Jeff Lewis
Yes, yes, I like to call it the Boulevard. I love how she made it sound like it was on a freeway or Dorit.
Garcelle Beauvais
It's on the Boulevard. It's Lower Bel Air. I can walk to the Bel Air Hotel and Kathy's house and Jennifer Tilly's house. We're all together there.
Sutton Strack
I'm curious because on Avi's. I was just looking. On his thing, it still says he works. Like, does he know this? Because it says he's the manager for Sutton's Track.
Garcelle Beauvais
I believe he knows.
Sutton Strack
Okay, okay.
Jeff Lewis
Would you hire him? So it sounds like you're not working together now, but would you work with him again, like, if you bought another house?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, of course. I mean, I may even want him to come back and manage, like, if I ever moved or if I got another property. You know, I love Avi, and he's really good at property management. Really good. And he helped me tremendously when I did my remodel.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Garcelle Beauvais
And he really kind of took that project on.
Jeff Lewis
So does he call you one day? Does he say, hey, can I speak to you for a moment. I think it's time for me to leave. Or do you say, look, the house is finished.
Garcelle Beauvais
Right.
Jeff Lewis
I don't have a ton of work for you here.
Garcelle Beauvais
Right.
Jeff Lewis
You might want to go and start looking for something else.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, I mean, it's like, things.
Jeff Lewis
What happened.
Garcelle Beauvais
Things have evolved, and, you know, he was always an independent contractor.
Jeff Lewis
Did you fire him or did he quit? Did you let him go?
Garcelle Beauvais
We parted ways.
Sutton Strack
Was it mutual, though? That's the. That's the question.
Garcelle Beauvais
Um, I'm not sure.
Sutton Strack
Okay.
Garcelle Beauvais
We'd have to ask Kavi. It was a good question.
Sutton Strack
Okay, well, I'm glad you say that, because let's open the door.
Garcelle Beauvais
And here is ding dong.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. Before we jump into the reunion, I do want to ask you. So there's some sort of giveaway you're doing today?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, we did that yesterday, so. You know, US Weekly gave me the high honor of celebrity with best shoe collection, which is probably true.
Sutton Strack
You have the best shoes.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, I do. You know, I have all my foot problems, which has gotten so much better. My neuropathy, and so I don't wear a lot of my heels that I have. But they're my friends. I love them. And some of them I've never worn. I've been collecting shoes since I lived in New York City, and I have my first pair of Manolo Blahniks I ever wore. They still look good. So I thought, in honor of Us Weekly's award, I would give away a pair of my shoes that I wore once to a red carpet event.
Jeff Lewis
Wait a minute. So this is. Is this a new award? It's called the Reality Star Style Best Shoe collection award. Is it new?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, I think it was their first year. They did it. It was really fun.
Sutton Strack
Very niche.
Jeff Lewis
And then you're okay, but now you're doing a giveaway.
Garcelle Beauvais
I just did this to be fun.
Jeff Lewis
So you're giving away an old, stinky pair of shoes?
Garcelle Beauvais
Excuse me, sir. I wore them once, and they are beautiful. This is a Runway.
Jeff Lewis
But don't you have an athlete's foot?
Kathy Hilton
I see blood in that.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, you do not see blood. Y' all, these are beautiful. They're from the Runway. These are valuable.
Jeff Lewis
It looks scuffed up.
Garcelle Beauvais
Shut up. They do.
Jeff Lewis
Did someone else wear them?
Garcelle Beauvais
No.
Jeff Lewis
Avi wear them.
Garcelle Beauvais
No. They are a 36.5. So we did the giveaway, and we did have a winner today. It was random. Do you want to know who it is?
Sutton Strack
I'm already done. You're saying?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, you're done.
Jeff Lewis
Well, of course we want to know who it is.
Garcelle Beauvais
Okay. Wait, wait, wait. What? No, I don't think you.
Jeff Lewis
I'd resell them. I put Sutton straps. Well, shoes that have only been worn once. I bet I should consider.
Kathy Hilton
These are on my poshmark all the way.
Garcelle Beauvais
I mean, yeah, if you see the bottom.
Jeff Lewis
Did a gay win or did a do circular fashion?
Sutton Strack
We'll resell them on sale.
Garcelle Beauvais
This is total circular fashion. 100%.
Jeff Lewis
This is what you're doing. Finally, you're explaining it.
Sutton Strack
She's giving out her old clothes.
Jeff Lewis
You're just selling your old clothes under the circular fashion.
Garcelle Beauvais
Doug and I are going to talk about that later. We've got a little project we're doing. Okay. So this the winner is.
Kathy Hilton
He looks shocked by that.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. Who's the winner?
Garcelle Beauvais
He is not shocked. The winner is Kellyann Harshaw. Shout out to Danny.
Jeff Lewis
Congratulations, Kelly.
Garcelle Beauvais
And Kelly is mommy to a stupendous little boy. She's enjoying life. A thing of beauty is a joy forever. And beauty is truth. Truth, beauty.
Doug Budin
What are you talking about?
Garcelle Beauvais
It's from her Instagram, and that's a quote from John Keats. So thank you, Kelly Ann, for that.
Jeff Lewis
Beauty is truth and truth is beauty.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, Beauty is truth. Truth is beauty.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, I love that.
Kathy Hilton
I love that.
Garcelle Beauvais
From John Keats. Yes.
Jeff Lewis
Love it.
Garcelle Beauvais
So thank you, Kellyanne. We're gonna get in touch with her and we're gonna ship these over to her.
Sutton Strack
Do you pay for shipping?
Garcelle Beauvais
Look at this.
Jeff Lewis
You should probably spray those with Fabrice.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, my gosh, they're so beautiful. And a satin shoe with this beautiful feather. Y' all are really. Obviously I'm looking at what you're wearing right now, Doug, so I don't think you can really comment on. I'm talking about this. This. This thing over my beautiful shirt.
Sutton Strack
This is.
Jeff Lewis
I think that looks very comfy. Cozy.
Garcelle Beauvais
It's comfy. See, that's cute.
Sutton Strack
I am wearing my. My Sutton. Sutton label.
Garcelle Beauvais
That's the non binary shirt. Oh, yeah, we don't have. Yeah, that's what they're called, the mbs, the nbs.
Jeff Lewis
So anybody can wear them.
Garcelle Beauvais
Anybody. They're for anyone.
Sutton Strack
I'm a vague.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, but, you know, we don't have any more of these. When we get more, you know, this. Could I sell it? This is an excess return shirt that we kind of redid and we put the patches on it. And people love these shirts.
Kathy Hilton
And so you probably owned that before.
Sutton Strack
These were my shirts. I returned.
Garcelle Beauvais
They were excess returns. Nobody had worn them ever.
Sutton Strack
I'm the one who returned it five years ago.
Jeff Lewis
You wore it for two weeks.
Garcelle Beauvais
Aren't they so cute, though? I love these shirts.
Sutton Strack
I think I purchased this. This was.
Jeff Lewis
You did.
Garcelle Beauvais
You purchased it?
Jeff Lewis
You bought it?
Sutton Strack
Yes. Yeah, I'm gonna. Now that I'm friends with Sutton, I will tell you. I was snickered into a $371 purchase at BravoCon.
Garcelle Beauvais
Uh huh. They. We sold out at Bravocon Sheets. The sheets sold out. I know. We're getting more.
Jeff Lewis
They switch sheets, like, I don't know, three times a week. Two or three times a week. And I have them on right now every time they go on Sutton. I love eucalyptus, but I haven't been able to replace them. No, it's the. I don't know which ones. They're white you sent. You have to find those sheets again.
Garcelle Beauvais
I know. Well, those were also excess returns, so we get them.
Kathy Hilton
Doug slept on those.
Garcelle Beauvais
As many supplies. What we get, we sell out. So it's really exciting.
Jeff Lewis
That's where the stains came from. Oh, my God.
Garcelle Beauvais
Can we not talk about Doug's stained sheets?
Sutton Strack
Yeah. Thank you.
Garcelle Beauvais
I really just can't.
Sutton Strack
Brittany Hanes was a guest at my B and B room last week. And the next morning, Brittany said, specifically, what are these sheets? She loved my sheets.
Garcelle Beauvais
See, I think there's different colors. We can go onto the website, but.
Jeff Lewis
Here'S the problem, son. See what's available when you do this, like, you release the collection.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
You never. You can never replace it. You have to wait for another collection that's as good.
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, I'm sorry. That's called sustainability.
Jeff Lewis
I'm sick of waiting.
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, you know, you got to be patient.
Jeff Lewis
And I do love the puffer jacket that you sent me.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, yeah, those are good, too.
Jeff Lewis
You know what? Dreet's right. You do buy your friends, and I am happy to be.
Garcelle Beauvais
I'm glad it's working. My plan is working.
Jeff Lewis
I think I was mad at you and I actually.
Kathy Hilton
Because you canceled.
Jeff Lewis
You canceled on me and I was mad at you. And then when you sent me, that was obvious.
Garcelle Beauvais
I'm just kidding. It wasn't.
Jeff Lewis
When you sent me that jacket I wore to Tahoe last year, I was like, all is forgiven.
Garcelle Beauvais
Good. I'm telling you, I'm smart. Smart girl.
Sutton Strack
I mean, you do that right, you'll send someone an orchid.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, I buy people all the time. Yeah.
Garcelle Beauvais
Hello. It works.
Sutton Strack
If it ain't bro.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
All right, so what was her name? Who won the shoes?
Sutton Strack
Kellyanne.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. Honestly?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
Honestly. Honestly?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
She wants to resell Them? What could she get for them? What did you pay for them? Retail?
Garcelle Beauvais
I. You know, I think they were. They were expensive. They were like, in the 900, $1200 range.
Jeff Lewis
So what do you think if Sutton Strack owned them and she only wore them once to a red carpet. What red carpet event?
Garcelle Beauvais
I can't remember. These are. They're like.
Jeff Lewis
You got to make something up. Like, really fancy. It's the Met Gala.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, I would say. I think I bought these when I was in London. When I lived in London.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, that's good.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah. So they're.
Jeff Lewis
There's a whole history.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah. So these are probably from like 2008.
Sutton Strack
Oh, yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Do we say vintage, then?
Kathy Hilton
Vintage.
Garcelle Beauvais
Does that count? Yeah, I guess. Twenty years. Is it 20?
Jeff Lewis
So they were purchased in London?
Garcelle Beauvais
They were purchased in London.
Jeff Lewis
They're vintage and they've been boxed ever since.
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, I keep my shoes in, like, this. Beautiful. My closet is beautiful. My shoe closet is.
Jeff Lewis
I've seen that.
Garcelle Beauvais
It used to be a bedroom, but I made it into the shoe closet. Right. And so it's all enclosed, like glass climate control. And it has mirrored and with the beauty light.
Jeff Lewis
So they've been preserved.
Garcelle Beauvais
They've been preserved.
Sutton Strack
They've been happy.
Jeff Lewis
What?
Garcelle Beauvais
They've been very happy.
Jeff Lewis
Kelly can get for them if she wants to put them up on ebay.
Garcelle Beauvais
I mean, I don't know. That would. I don't know.
Jeff Lewis
I'd ask. 500, I think, to start.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
I mean, 4.99.
Kathy Hilton
Oh, 6.75.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, you would. Oh, because they're vintage.
Kathy Hilton
They're worth Celebrity angle.
Jeff Lewis
You're right. 9.99.
Sutton Strack
I think 675 is a good start. You can also take them four payments.
Jeff Lewis
Four easy payments.
Garcelle Beauvais
Do they do that?
Jeff Lewis
I don't know.
Garcelle Beauvais
I don't either.
Jeff Lewis
We could. You know what? I'll sell those shoes on the radio. If Kelly wants to call me.
Garcelle Beauvais
Kellyanne needs to, you know. Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
I wonder what we can get for him.
Sutton Strack
Well.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, my God.
Jeff Lewis
We should auction your house on this radio, too.
Garcelle Beauvais
Okay.
Sutton Strack
675.
Jeff Lewis
Where are we starting? 8 million.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, no, no. 11.
Jeff Lewis
11?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
Really?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Kathy Hilton
We're gonna start a tennis court.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
11 seems high. Well, how many square feet?
Kathy Hilton
Make an offer.
Garcelle Beauvais
It's like six something, you know, big house.
Sutton Strack
It wasn't on a main road.
Garcelle Beauvais
It's on a boulevard.
Jeff Lewis
Maybe we start at 10 million. 9, 9, 9, 9, 5. Four easy payments.
Garcelle Beauvais
Four easy payments. With your bank.
Jeff Lewis
Two and a half.
Garcelle Beauvais
The bank of your choice.
Jeff Lewis
Are you like me? Where the house once the house is finished. You're bored.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, no. You know, I love this house so much, and it's got, like, a good vibe. There's something about this house that's.
Jeff Lewis
Well, now that Avi left.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, well, it's very quiet. It's a very quiet house and it's very cozy. I love. The backyard is beautiful. But I still want to do the landscaping on the hill because it gets flat up there, so I've always wanted to do something up there. There's stairs that go up and I just don't know what to do with it.
Jeff Lewis
We have a call here that thinks that Doug should be the property manager for Sutton. Yeah. No, you're very thorough.
Sutton Strack
I am. In fact, I have a punch list of things to talk to you about that I observed yesterday at my house. At your house? But we don't need to do that.
Garcelle Beauvais
Why not? I mean, I wouldn't want to.
Jeff Lewis
Why? What's the problem? Is it the marble work?
Sutton Strack
No, there's. This is. I don't know if it's my OCD or if this is just something that happens, but you have a couple of faucets that are.
Jeff Lewis
Yes, I'm on it. Don't worry. I know what you're talking about.
Sutton Strack
So.
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, you say lever or lever.
Sutton Strack
I say a lever.
Jeff Lewis
They're wall mounted faucets and the levers are not straight, and it drives me crazy.
Garcelle Beauvais
So that my refrigerator has, you know, these things that the handles.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Garcelle Beauvais
And one is not. It makes me insane.
Jeff Lewis
Yep. They're not level.
Garcelle Beauvais
They're not level.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah.
Garcelle Beauvais
And my. It, like, makes it. I don't have ocd, but I do when I look at that refrigerator.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah.
Garcelle Beauvais
Like, why?
Sutton Strack
So in Jeff's house, there's this one bathroom that has them, and so they're so sensitive. I straightened it and the water started coming out.
Jeff Lewis
I know you're talking.
Garcelle Beauvais
He broke it.
Sutton Strack
There's no hole in that sink yet. So then the water started filling up. Oh, shit. I took off my jacket.
Jeff Lewis
Not your sus.
Sutton Strack
No, it was my fleece green jacket. And I used it as a mop to clean up in that sink because I didn't want water sitting there.
Jeff Lewis
Sutton's clothes make great mops.
Sutton Strack
Yeah, it's true.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. My housekeepers. Dual purpose.
Garcelle Beauvais
Dual purpose.
Jeff Lewis
They're soft. Like this. Soft rags.
Kathy Hilton
Circular fashion.
Garcelle Beauvais
It's circular fashion. Dual purpose.
Sutton Strack
The other thing is in some of your sinks, so they say waterwork on them, but the plate that says waterworks.
Garcelle Beauvais
What's that?
Sutton Strack
The.
Jeff Lewis
It's a brand.
Garcelle Beauvais
I was like, does the water work?
Sutton Strack
No, but it's not facing. It's, like, askew. It's at a weird angle.
Jeff Lewis
I know they. All those need to be adjusted. I know what you're saying.
Sutton Strack
I don't know. Is that the kind of thing you do want facing you, or does it.
Kathy Hilton
Look, I want to see it.
Garcelle Beauvais
I want to see it.
Jeff Lewis
We want to see the label.
Garcelle Beauvais
Really?
Jeff Lewis
No, I don't care. I just want those labels.
Garcelle Beauvais
Just this label. The Sutton Sutton label is cute.
Sutton Strack
Are you doing sinks now?
Garcelle Beauvais
Tomorrow. That's happening tomorrow. Certainly. There are some excess return sinks I can get a hold of.
Jeff Lewis
I should start buying, like, storage units. You know, where you can go to auction and people that don't pay their bills. I bet you could buy Dorit's storage unit.
Sutton Strack
That's a TV show, I think. Storage Wars.
Jeff Lewis
And we could resell it.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, my Lord. Mercy, no.
Sutton Strack
How your. How are your tomato plants doing?
Garcelle Beauvais
I guess Doug went and got me, like, fancy tomato plants.
Sutton Strack
Yeah, you have them planted and.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes, they're planted. And he told me to put marigolds around them, so I have done that. And they're about. Is that a foot?
Kathy Hilton
Almost.
Garcelle Beauvais
Okay, they're about.
Jeff Lewis
So they're growing.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
When will they be ready?
Sutton Strack
Sutton's. It's, like, 85 days. So Sutton's will be ready in July.
Kathy Hilton
She can't sell the house. She has her plants planted.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, my gosh. And I planted gardenias in the front. Like, I have things that I've done that are special.
Jeff Lewis
So you started a garden over there at Sutton's?
Sutton Strack
Well, Sutton, okay, Sutton was going to come to Tomatomania with me, but I.
Garcelle Beauvais
Was out of town.
Sutton Strack
And then when I sensed her.
Jeff Lewis
You're such a liar.
Sutton Strack
When I sensed I was out of.
Garcelle Beauvais
Town, you booked a trip to her.
Jeff Lewis
You just dip it. Dip to see the travel itinerary? Ask Avi.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, well, it's not gonna be on my calendar, I can tell you that. But I was out of town, wasn't I?
Sutton Strack
You said.
Garcelle Beauvais
I mean, I was hiding in my bedroom.
Sutton Strack
What was I doing?
Jeff Lewis
You didn't miss anything. Trust me.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, I wasn't.
Sutton Strack
That's why Sutton couldn't just come next year. That's the joy of Tomatomania. It's every year.
Garcelle Beauvais
Every year. And see, that makes me very.
Jeff Lewis
Fires.
Sutton Strack
Were there fires up there? I don't think so. In Tapia Brothers.
Jeff Lewis
So what's going on with your garden?
Sutton Strack
I mean, it's coming in.
Jeff Lewis
So you're gonna start making your sauce soon? No, no, your base.
Sutton Strack
Don't conflate at all that happened.
Garcelle Beauvais
You look. That. That looks terrible. Like he's making fun of you, Doug. And I don't like one iota.
Sutton Strack
He's not making fun. I refuse to.
Garcelle Beauvais
Did you see his face when he said sauce?
Sutton Strack
That carnie. Now Carnie has promised to come tomato picking for sauce. Tomatoes this year.
Jeff Lewis
Guarantee she'll be out of town.
Sutton Strack
She blew it off last week. This year she's coming. Cause we're gonna make sauce to Labor Day 1.
Garcelle Beauvais
Do you use plum tomatoes for sauce?
Sutton Strack
Yes. Sauce tomatoes. I say Marzano.
Garcelle Beauvais
I know things.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah. Wow. Carnie's gonna be on an influencer trip.
Sutton Strack
Yeah. Maybe at the tomato farm with me. We just don't have Keon.
Jeff Lewis
I very much related to the episode. I think it was two episodes when you went back home.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
And we got to know your mom.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
And I just very much related. Cause my grandmother was very much like Reba. And you just. I think they're, you know, they're not full of compliments.
Garcelle Beauvais
No.
Jeff Lewis
Not. Not warm and fuzzy.
Garcelle Beauvais
No.
Jeff Lewis
But you kind of figure out the ways they show their love.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah. She's. She does. What is it? The acts. She's like.
Kathy Hilton
Acts of service.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Garcelle Beauvais
You know, when I was growing up, she would. You know, I was a ballet dancer. So I would stay at the studio and get home like at 9:30 at night. And she would have put my supper in the oven to keep it warm. And then also she would turn back my bed covers. That's how, you know. That was loving.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Garcelle Beauvais
And I was just with my family in Birmingham for my nephew's college graduation. And my mother was my roommate at the hotel. And she told me I looked pretty before graduation. I was like, was that a compliment? Like, I wanted to write it down and put, you know, have the date on it. So I remembered. Cause she doesn't do that often. So whatever I wore, I need to wear again.
Jeff Lewis
But what was interesting is that you recognize ways that she shows her love.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Because it's not in traditional ways.
Garcelle Beauvais
No. And you know what's really great? I loved those two episodes. And I feel like Garcelle and Kyle and I, the three of us really bonded, and it was very natural. We were very relaxed, and we had so much fun. And we. And all three of us went really deep with one another. And then I got tense with my mother. And afterwards, we have gotten so much closer.
Sutton Strack
You and your mom?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes. It was like a friendship renewal between the two of us. And I really enjoy my time with her now. And we Speak a lot more. And we've become close, and. Which is what I wanted, because she's turning 83 in July, and, you know, you don't know.
Sutton Strack
Did she watch? Do you know?
Jeff Lewis
Did she. Oh, I know. She'll be around for a while, I think. She's not watching.
Garcelle Beauvais
She's not going anywhere. I know everybody's like, how's your mom? I go, oh, she's the same. And, you know, it's. One of my friends said, oh, that's so refreshing, because sometimes you ask. And they're like, well, you know, she had a stroke or she's having hit replacement surgery. Mom. I'm like, no, she's the same.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, she's Reba. That was my grandmother. Like, accident after accident, surgery after. It was like. It was like the Terminator. Like, you couldn't. Couldn't kill her.
Garcelle Beauvais
But so it's great. And, you know, I love watching my children with her. You know, they think she's so funny. And I'm like, yeah, that's funny, you know?
Jeff Lewis
Well, that's interesting, because she's your mother. Where my relationship was with my grandmother, and my grandmother, I think, was a little softer with me than she was with her daughter.
Garcelle Beauvais
100%, I'm sure.
Jeff Lewis
And I found it funny. Yeah, I found it funny.
Sutton Strack
Of course you did, because.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah, my brothers didn't find it funny.
Sutton Strack
You weren't getting it, was she?
Jeff Lewis
No, I was, but I thought it was funny.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, you could take it.
Jeff Lewis
I can take it.
Sutton Strack
Was your grandmother soft with your two brothers as well?
Jeff Lewis
No.
Sutton Strack
So you in particular.
Jeff Lewis
She would. But she alienated a lot of people with, you know, the way she spoke, and she was kind of, you know, she could be cold and. Yes, yes. And. But I always thought it was funny.
Sutton Strack
But Todd and Greg didn't have the same relationship with your grandmother.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, my kids think she's hilarious, but she has a very dry sense of humor, maybe a caustic sense of humor that people don't understand. And I'm like, she's kidding. You know, I want to tell people. No, no, that was a joke. That was a joke. You know, they don't get it.
Jeff Lewis
I mean, I've brought this up before, but when my brother brought home his girlfriend for the first time to meet her, and she was on the swim team, and her first response was, well, you're built like a swimmer, all shoulders and no hips.
Garcelle Beauvais
That would be something Reba would say.
Jeff Lewis
And I fucking rolled, like, laughing. But, I mean, the poor girl. And then, you know, and then my brother Was obviously embarrassed.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes.
Jeff Lewis
But I thought it was so funny.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, my God. That's something Reba would say.
Jeff Lewis
That's why when I watched it, I was like, oh, my.
Sutton Strack
This is really related.
Jeff Lewis
But My grandmother was 93 when she died. That was about six years ago. So. Yeah.
Garcelle Beauvais
That's a nice, long life, you know?
Jeff Lewis
Yeah.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, my God. Well, and I tell you what, she loves gardening and all of that. She has roses and she loves tomatoes.
Sutton Strack
She's Southern.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah. But she doesn't cook that well.
Jeff Lewis
It's a beautiful place you're at in Georgia.
Garcelle Beauvais
I love that house, too. Also. That house has such a good energy to. Was built in 1880.
Sutton Strack
In Augusta.
Garcelle Beauvais
In Augusta? Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
How long have you owned it?
Garcelle Beauvais
I bought that house when my ex husband and I bought that house in 2009. I moved to Orange county in 2008.
Jeff Lewis
You lived in Orange County?
Garcelle Beauvais
I did for four years. I didn't know this where in Emerald Bay.
Jeff Lewis
Wow. Okay.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah. And in Laguna Beach.
Jeff Lewis
Yes.
Garcelle Beauvais
And so about a year afterwards, I had three children, and we would go to Augusta. There a was. It was just too. I needed a house. And so we bought that house with.
Sutton Strack
The guest house in the back. Did your mom live in the.
Garcelle Beauvais
That was like a gut renovation. My mom's house was. And so. And she's got a big basement down there. It's two bedrooms upstairs. But right now, I think my next project really is going to be. I need to put a bedroom downstairs for her with a bath. Full bath.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, so she doesn't look up and down the stairs.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah. Well, Avi coming.
Sutton Strack
Oh, but then your mom will help.
Jeff Lewis
You with it anymore.
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, I don't think.
Jeff Lewis
I think she fired him.
Garcelle Beauvais
Avi and my mother were sort of like oil and water.
Jeff Lewis
Everybody agrees that she fired Avi because I feel like. Right.
Sutton Strack
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
The way she skirted around the whole thing.
Garcelle Beauvais
I don't like the word fire.
Jeff Lewis
All right. You let him go.
Garcelle Beauvais
We parted ways.
Sutton Strack
Well, that parted ways.
Garcelle Beauvais
You parted ways, in my opinion.
Kathy Hilton
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Okay.
Kathy Hilton
I'm gonna get drinks with Avi and get the tea.
Sutton Strack
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
The reunion Real Housewives. I watched all three parts.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, God. I didn't.
Jeff Lewis
Very disappointed that Garcelle is no longer.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, me too.
Jeff Lewis
Do you think. No. She called you all assholes, and she also unfollowed all of you.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Did she follow you again or. No.
Garcelle Beauvais
You know, I don't pay attention. As Doug mentioned earlier this morning, I am terrible on the Instagram. I do not pay attention to if somebody's followed me. Like, I wouldn't even know how to do that.
Sutton Strack
You know, she didn't unfollow everybody. She kept Jennifer Tilly and Kathy Hilton.
Garcelle Beauvais
Garcelle, who are not full time, by the way.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, but weren't you closest to her?
Garcelle Beauvais
Very.
Jeff Lewis
So obviously she's upset with you if she's unfollowed you, you know.
Garcelle Beauvais
Okay.
Kathy Hilton
Have you guys spoken?
Garcelle Beauvais
We spoke the day that she made her announcement.
Kathy Hilton
How was that conversation?
Garcelle Beauvais
It was. You know, she's just said something. I couldn't talk to anybody because I knew that you would convince me not to leave. Yeah, that's very true.
Jeff Lewis
You said recently, I can only imagine that she needs a clean break right now. I love her, and I'm giving her the space she needs. Did Avi. I was gonna ask if Avi wrote that, but did you write that? Who wrote that?
Sutton Strack
That statement?
Garcelle Beauvais
I think I said it.
Sutton Strack
It's Keith's.
Garcelle Beauvais
Wow.
Jeff Lewis
Do you feel like just, you know, I don't. I'm not privy to all of, like, you know, what happens behind the scenes, but it seems from, you know, I'm an avid watcher, and it seems like she was most hurt by you, and.
Garcelle Beauvais
I'm sorry for that. You know, I would never want to hurt Garcelle intentionally so I'm sorry that she feels that way. And I'm sorry, you know, that it went down like that. I hope that I can rectify things later. Sometimes I think when you're really close with someone and you get hurt in the relationship, sometimes you need some time away to heal. And I'm hoping that we can rectify and fix everything.
Jeff Lewis
Do you think that there's a part of you that really wants to be liked by the whole cast? And as a result, you may overlook maybe the people that are really closest to you and most loyal, like Garcelle, because I feel like she would have taken a bullet for you. Like, I found her to be very, incredibly loyal to you.
Sutton Strack
Look at that conversation she had with Reba. Right. Where she even stuck up to her.
Garcelle Beauvais
But, you know, I also met with Garcelle's family and.
Jeff Lewis
Right. But maybe. So you agree that Garcelle is probably most hurt by you.
Sutton Strack
Right. That proves the point that you were the closest with her.
Garcelle Beauvais
I think that, you know, down the road, Garcelle and I just need to have a really long, thoughtful conversation that's private. But, you know, I just hate that. I hate that this has happened.
Jeff Lewis
Yeah.
Garcelle Beauvais
Garcelle was a very good friend, and I love her dearly.
Jeff Lewis
What are you gonna do next season? Cause all you Got is Jennifer Tilly.
Garcelle Beauvais
I guess I'm gonna get on the cross and.
Jeff Lewis
Well, you're gonna need to find. You need some allies. Cause you got some girls that want to take you down. Okay, what are we gonna do about that?
Garcelle Beauvais
What's new? Okay, go on. That's, you know.
Sutton Strack
Well, now, no Avi either. So no Garcelle, no Avi.
Kathy Hilton
There's no show.
Sutton Strack
You got Tilly, right? Jennifer's going.
Garcelle Beauvais
Doug, are you gonna come? You can come be my sidekick.
Sutton Strack
I don't think so.
Garcelle Beauvais
Oh, come on.
Jeff Lewis
He would love that. Oh, by the way, I looked this up for you.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes. Oh, good. Thank you, Jennifer.
Jeff Lewis
So, you know, Dorit made that very famous comment that you live on a main road, a boulevard, and it is, you know, Lower Bel Air. Lower Bel Air Boulevard. We looked it up. It said no. Living on a main road does not inherently make someone poor. While properties on busy streets may have lower resale values and attract fewer buyers compared to quieter locations, this is not directly linked to a person's overall financial status. So you're okay?
Garcelle Beauvais
I'm fine.
Jeff Lewis
You're good?
Garcelle Beauvais
I think I'm good.
Sutton Strack
Fifth Avenue is a main road, by the way. You know, Fifth Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Park West, Park Avenue, main roads.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes. You know, I moved apartments in New York.
Sutton Strack
Oh, you did?
Garcelle Beauvais
I did.
Jeff Lewis
I saw a picture with a beautiful. Is that your terrace?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes, yes, yes. So I'm still on the Upper east side, but I moved off the main road of Park Avenue and I took a very quiet, sad street off of Park Avenue. And I love it.
Sutton Strack
Between park and Lex or between park and Madison?
Garcelle Beauvais
Park and Madison. Look, you know, this is how I roll.
Sutton Strack
I like this.
Garcelle Beauvais
But I downsized because I used to have three bedrooms and now I just have one bedroom. I love it. And I have two outside spaces and I have a working fireplace.
Kathy Hilton
Wow.
Jeff Lewis
Congratulations.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Kathy Hilton
Housewife of New York look.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes, that would be fun.
Jeff Lewis

Jeff Lewis
All right, we're gonna play a game today. I'm gonna ask you a question, and you tell me, which real housewives of beverly hills cast member does it apply to? So that could be Kyle, Jennifer, Kathy, Dorit, Bose, garcelle, or Erica. And just the first name that pops in your head.
Garcelle Beauvais
I hate games.
Jeff Lewis
That's why we're playing it. All right, this season, we're referring to the last season. Who had the least interesting storyline?
Garcelle Beauvais
Erica.
Jeff Lewis
I agree. Who was the most fake? Once the camera's turned on.
Garcelle Beauvais
Thick.
Sutton Strack
Fake.
Jeff Lewis
Fake.
Sutton Strack
F a cak.
Kathy Hilton
Who's the thickest?
Sutton Strack
Who was fake? Oh.
Jeff Lewis
First name. I know that name popped in your head.
Garcelle Beauvais
I know. I can't. I mean.
Sutton Strack
You don't know.
Jeff Lewis
She knows. She's not gonna answer.
Garcelle Beauvais
No, I can't. Really. I mean, who's fake?
Jeff Lewis
I mean, who's fake?
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, I mean, about what?
Sutton Strack
Name them.
Jeff Lewis
Just throw us a name. Who's fake?
Garcelle Beauvais
I mean, I can just look. Anything.
Jeff Lewis
All right, Dorit.
Garcelle Beauvais
All right, so I didn't name them.
Jeff Lewis
Who had the worst confessional look?
Garcelle Beauvais
Name them. Well, I mean, the. The earrings that buzz wore. Yeah, they were a little large. I am wearing hoops, and I never do that.
Jeff Lewis
Who lied the most this season?
Garcelle Beauvais
Lied?
Jeff Lewis
Lied.
Garcelle Beauvais
Name them. I don't know. Did anybody? I don't think anybody lied.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, what?
Garcelle Beauvais
Who? You what? Okay, peanut gallery, who was it? I don't know.
Jeff Lewis
All right, who was the least prompt?
Garcelle Beauvais
Dorit's always late.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, who are you currently closest with?
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, Jennifer, Tilly and I, we've known each other almost 20 years.
Jeff Lewis
Who is Andy's favorite real housewife of Beverly hills?
Garcelle Beauvais
I don't think he has a favorite.
Jeff Lewis
I do.
Garcelle Beauvais
You do? Well, you name him. I don't know. Name him.
Jeff Lewis
Kyle.
Sutton Strack
Yeah, I would have guessed Kyle.
Jeff Lewis
Also, I think Kyle's his favorite.
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, I mean, you know, I think Kyle has a special place.
Jeff Lewis
She's his favorite.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah.
Jeff Lewis
Who had the drunkest moment this last season?
Garcelle Beauvais
I don't think any of us did.
Jeff Lewis
I know. I didn't see anybody. Real sloppy. I was disappointed.
Kathy Hilton
Could we get sloppy next season, please?
Jeff Lewis
Who do you text with the most?
Garcelle Beauvais
Well, Jennifer.
Jeff Lewis
Okay. Who shares the least on the show?
Garcelle Beauvais
I think Erica, this.
Sutton Strack
This season especially. Right.
Jeff Lewis
Who does production find the most difficult?
Garcelle Beauvais
I'm gonna say Dirk.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, who has the most money?
Garcelle Beauvais
I think it's a three way tie between.
Jeff Lewis
Okay, you, Kathy and Jennifer.
Garcelle Beauvais
Maybe four. Okay, maybe Kyle.
Jeff Lewis
Kyle?
Garcelle Beauvais
Yeah, I think the four of us are.
Sutton Strack
But Kathy and Jennifer were not full time, so.
Jeff Lewis
But who has the most money? Most?
Garcelle Beauvais
I don't know. I mean, I don't look at people's bank accounts, name them.
Kathy Hilton
Just guess what you told me what.
Jeff Lewis
You think.
Garcelle Beauvais
The question is not who has the least amount of money. Jameson.
Jeff Lewis
Oh, Jameson is being shady over there.
Garcelle Beauvais
Yes.
