Ezekiel, chapter 28. And the word of the Lord came unto me saying, son of man, say to the Prince of Tyre. Thus says the Lord God, because your heart is lifted up. And you say, I am God. I sit in the seat of gods in the midst of the seas. You are a man and not a God, though you set your heart as the heart of a God. And then I'll go down. So there's something going on here. Go. Go down to verse 12. Son of man, take up a lamentation for the King of Tyre and say you were sealed with the seal of perfection, full of wisdom, perfect in wisdom. You were in Eden, the garden of God. Now, who else was in Eden? The devil. But he is Lucifer in heaven, when this text is taking place, every precious stone was in your covering. The Sardis, topaz, diamond, beryl, ox, Jasper, sapphire, Turcos and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timberls and pipes were prepared for you the day you were created. Musical instruments. Musical instruments were in him. By the way, the stones were the same stones that the High Priest had on his breastplate. Isn't that amazing? The exact same ones. The exact same ones that the High Priest had to have 12 stones when he went into the presence of God. Lucifer had them. Before God had a earth worshiper, there was a heaven worshiper named Lucifer, Son of the Morning. And he was the worship leader of heaven. And the scripture said that they were prepared for you the day you were created. Now listen to verse 14. You are the anointed cherub. He was anointed. He still is anointed with a. With a. With a demonic anointing. I'm sorry. I've seen musicians get under a demonic anointing and they're good. And they pull you in. Into, you know, the Holy Spirit. I don't need to get. The Holy Spirit responds to atmospheres. So do demons. That's why you're more prone to get in trouble and get drunk at a club than you are a library. Many People don't. Let's keep moving. All right. So you were the anointed cherub that covers. I established you. You were on the holy mountain of God. You walked back and forth in the midst of the fiery stones. You were perfect in all of your ways the day you were created, till iniquity was found in you. And he says in verse 16, therefore I cast you out as a profane thing out of the mountain of God. O covering cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones. Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty. And you corrupted your wisdom for the sake of splendor. I cast you to the ground before kings that might gaze at you. It says in verse 19, you'll become a horror and you shall be no more forever. And I just want to quickly flip over to Isaiah chapter 14. Maybe they can throw that up part up for me. Isaiah chapter 14 is interesting. I'll just turn there. I won't preach long this morning. But Isaiah chapter 14 is really something that goes right along with this. He says. He says, verse 10. You have become weak as we. You have become like us. Your prop is brought down to Sheol. The sound of your stringed instruments. Notice that, the sound of your string instruments. Verse 12. How you are falling from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning. How you are cut down to the ground, you who weaken the nations. For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stars of God. I will also sit in the mount of the congregation on the further sides of the north. I will ascend above the heights of the clouds. I will be like the most High. Yet you shall be brought down to hell to the lowest depths of the pit. And they'll gaze and they'll wonder, and they'll say, is this the one? Is this the one that shook the nations? I'm summing the last part up, so I want to talk to you for a few moments about what happens when we worship and when we don't worship. The devil has not always been a devil. He used to be Lucifer, the anointed cherub. There came a day in heaven when he chose. When he chose to be transformed into the devil. You have to understand that when we've been set free by the blood of Jesus Christ, there is a requirement upon our life as a Christian worship God. We are to be very intent as worshipers. We are not. Worship is not. It is part of coming to church. But it's not just coming to church. It is important to the atmosphere that everyone gather together because things can happen corporately in a church that that cannot happen individually by yourself. Bethel was called the house of God. And Jacob got a vision and he saw angels ascending and descending over Bethel, taking the praises and the prayers up and bringing the miracles down. There, there. There is a blessing to being in a congregation when you have understanding and when, come, let us reason together. But even greater than it, oh, magnify the Lord with exalt his name together. That means you throw in your praise and somebody else throws in a hallelujah. You know you're sitting in the wrong section if nobody on either side or behind you or around you says praise the Lord ever. I noticed after they sung the second song, there was a huge silence, deafening silence between the second and the third song. I tell them to work on transitions. And you know what?

Ought to feel that silence. Everybody up here ought to praise the Lord because that's what it's about.

It's not about the song.

[Worship Leader]

It's about praise the Lord. And everybody out there ought to say hallelujah. Well, why do we do that?

[Lead Pastor]

Because he's worthy of it.

[Worship Leader]

Because that's the point of it. We just said all of that about him.

[Lead Pastor]

Now celebrate matters.

It matters.

There's some churches that never see ever, ever a move of God. And it's not by coincidence. They never get loose and praise the Lord. I tell the story of being in eastern North Carolina, being raised in eastern North Carolina, and they used to have a billboard that apologized for the jets that land out there in eastern North Carolina at the base where they train the pilots, the fighter pilots. They said, pardon the noise. It's the sound of freedom.

I just wish we would get free enough to have to apologize for the noise. I would like to put up a sign, a billboard all over Gainesville, in every city we're in. Pardon the noise. It's the sound of free freedom. Free Chapel. Are there any free people at Free Chapel? Bible said, he whom the son sets free is free indeed. And the Bible said, where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. Hallelujah. You ought to be free. If you're going to go to a

your praise ought

to get loose every once in a while.

I'm not only. I'm not only happy today about my salvation. I don't have a perfect life, but I'm happy about my salvation. I'm not only saved, I'm satisfied. I'm not just saved. I'm satisfied.

I'm not craving drugs this morning.

[Worship Leader]

I'M not craving an illicit, sinful act. I'm not craving alcoholism, alcohol. I'm not sucking my teeth. I need a Jack Daniels. I don't care about Jack Daniels. I've been set free from Jack Daniels and any and all of that, you can have it. I'm not wishing that I could be somewhere else while I'm in here. This is my party. Hallelujah. This is my club. This is my celebration. This is my life. This is my word. Hallelujah. It's all in Jesus.

Well, you must have a pitiful life.

No, I didn't throw up last night

[Lead Pastor]

because I drunk too much.

I wasn't over the command. Man, we really living. I don't have to go get checked. I don't have. No, no, no. Come on. Let's preach it like we ought to. I'm not hungover this morning. I don't have any issues that I'm worried about. I don't have to worry about out. Amen. I'm saved and I'm satisfied. There is now, therefore, no condemnation. Glory to God. To them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. I made it another week. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. I made it another week. Oh, hallelujah. Hallelujah.

Worthy is the Lamb of God.

First Peter, chapter two and verse nine said, you are a chosen generation. And if you're a generation, you're supposed to generate something. You're supposed to just sit back and take your daddy's stuff and your grandpa's stuff. You supposed to keep generating. And you can't take their faith either, and you can't take their praise. So if you're a young person, you need to get crazy about your praise and say, I don't care what nobody thinks. I'm going to praise the Lord. Lord, if they can go crazy at concerts, I can go crazy for Jesus.

But you are a chosen generation. You are a chosen generation. When they were in the sandbox and they said, who wants to play? And everybody raised their hand, all the little kids raised their hand. And the biggest guy, the best player, gets to choose who he wants on his team. I take you. I don't want you. I had that feeling many times.

They pick Aaron. Aaron, stand up, Aaron. They'd pick Aaron.

See, if I was standing by Aaron,

they would pick Aaron.

But what they don't know is I try real hard. I try real hard. I will get something done before it's over.

But, but, but. We're a chosen Generation.

It's not by accident that we're here right now. Praise God. It's not by accident. They wrote two of the songs that they sung this morning. They're glorious. Hallelujah. Oh glory to God. We're a chosen. God chose you. Well, what did he choose me for?

[Lead Pastor]

Well, listen to the rest of the verse. He chose you. He chose you. A royal priesthood, a holy nation, a special people that you may proclaim the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his what?

Proclaim the what? Proclaim the what? What are we chosen to do if you've been saved?

[Lead Pastor]

You are chosen to be a praiser. That's part of your duty. A royal priesthood. Praise is our purpose. We were raised to praise. He brought you from death to life to worship.

That's why the Bible said, let everything that hath breath praise the Lord.

God breathed on mankind in the book

of Genesis 2 and verse 7 made man a living soul. The only other time that God breathed

on someone was in John in John

20 when before he left this world, Jesus breathed on a group of his disciples and said, receive ye the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is nothing less than the breath of God. So when he says, let everything that has breath that. Let everything that has the breath of God in you praise the Lord. If you've got the breath of God's life in you, I want you to praise him right where you're sitting right now. Hallelujah. I'm going to preach right now. We were justified to glorify. We were liberated so that we could leap for him. We. He took those cigarettes out of your fingers so you could clap your hands and praise him and not burn yourself. He took the sin shackles off your feet so you could dance a little jig for Jesus every once in a while. Hallelujah. Oh glory to God. Glorify God in your body and your spirit which are God's. You've been washed to worship, you've been redeemed to rejoice. You have been delivered to dance. You have been set free to sing. So lift up your voice with some old fashioned praise and be thankful unto him and bless his name. I'm here this morning to defend old fashioned Holy Ghost shouting and praising the Lord.

We haven't outgrown it and we will never lay it down as a church.

My heart's desire is to see my children not be raised in a dead church. My heart's desire.

I just felt a streak of glory go through my heart when I said that. That when the devil Thought that he wrecked my family, my daughter, my children. I just said, it is my heart's desire that my children not be raised in a dead church. And last Sunday, my daughter stood in this pulpit and preached one of the greatest messages. I'm like, man, I'm under pressure now.

What in the world?

What? If you don't believe in women preachers, you're too late.

[Worship Leader]

You always have been too late.

[Lead Pastor]

Amen.

But let's keep moving. Hallelujah. How many of you don't want your grandchildren to come up in a dead church? Well, if you like it, you better do it. God's church is to remain powerful.

Praise.

As long as I'm alive, there's going to be some hand clapping at Free Chapel. There's going to be some hand raising. There's going to be some foot stomping, there's going to be some jumping, there's going to be some praising, and there's going to be a little bit of talking in tongues, too. I'm going to throw it all in there. Hallelujah. Somebody praise the Lord. If you're not ashamed, I understand if this embarrasses you, but we've reached beyond that at this point. He's been too good. You didn't have a car, but he gave you a car. You didn't have a house, but he gave you a house. You didn't have nothing. But look what the Lord has done. He healed your body. He saved your soul. He set you free. And you're called and chosen and ordained to praise him. If you like it, you better do it. If you don't want this church to become lukewarm, you better do it.

I know everyone that said we used to shout. We used to really praise the Lord. We used to see the Lord move. I rebuke that spirit. Too many churches have it in their past, but don't have it in their present. Hallelujah. May that never be this church for the Spirit. Searcheth and seeketh for such that will worship him. And the hour has come when they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Praise is a serious Bible subject. It's not a cheap, shallow something that is to be made fun of and to be made light of and for. You know, the more knowledge it seems like, the more people get knowledge of the Bible. You know, I graduated from this and that and Ph.D. this and that. If you know more than I know about God, you ought to be the

craziest worshiper in the whole place. You sit there all the way through the service with your PhD in theology, can speak it, Hebrew, Greek and any other language that you need. And you know, all that stuff in the Hebrew, it means this and it means hallel. It means da da, da da. And you never do it. What is wrong with you? And you make fun of anybody who does. Praise is not man's idea. It's God's idea. And he likes a happy atmosphere. Pray God is attracted to a celebratory atmosphere. Not complaining, not griping, not feeling sorry for yourself. He even said, put on the garment of praise when you start feeling heavy,

because God's drawn to celebration. Hallelujah. Praise God. You know that song they used to sing? Sometimes I wish we'd bring it back. I could dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance, dance all night When I think of his goodness and all he's done for me When I think of his goodness and how he set me free

I could shout, shout, shout, shout, shout, shout, shout all night.

Lucifer has not always been the devil. He was the anointed cherub. Hallelujah, y'. All Preach me to death on the first little part of this sermon. I'm about dead. Hallelujah, Lucifer. He wanted the music to become the main thing. And he wanted to become the main thing. Sometimes we have to remember that music is not the main thing. And the preacher. And the preacher is not the main thing. The main thing is the one we're preaching about and singing about. And if we don't lift him up, we have failed at our mission. I don't want you leaving here saying, man, what a preacher. There's not much danger of that. Thank you very much. I want you to leave here saying, after you hear the music come on the grounds, what a God, what a God, what a God, what a God. He wanted the music to be above all, music is important. But the word of God is important, too. But neither one of those are more important than Jesus. Lucifer was heaven's choir director. He was the worship leader. He had iniquity that was found in him. And God dismissed, demoted and distanced him from the throne room of God forever without ever having the possibility of restitution, restoration and repentance. Whatever he did

so ticked God off

that God made no return route for Lucifer. You and I fail every day. And if we come through the blood and truly ask God to cleanse us, he gives us access over and over and over and over again.

Mercy.

Over and over and over again. But Lucifer did one thing. And God said, you're not going to get into my presence ever Again. What was it? What did he do. Inwardly? It was pride, self exaltation and rebellion. Pride, self exaltation and rebellion.

Pride that manifests inwardly, then manifests outwardly by saying, I refuse to worship. So when you say, I don't have

pride, I don't have self exaltation and I don't have any rebellion in me, I'm just going to sit here.

The way that. Pride, self exaltation.

Isn't this a nice point?

The way it manifests in all of us is when we think we don't need to worship. There came a day when it first manifested in heaven the ability to worship God. Satan said, I from this day forward want all the praise, all the worship, and I will never worship God again. And in that moment, God said, then you can't be in my presence. As of today, I will not praise God anymore. And the thing that keeps us in

a heavenly atmosphere is praise.

[Worship Leader]

If you don't keep praise in your life, then you will lose the heavenly atmosphere and you will be further and further from the presence of God. That's why you need some good music in your car. That's why you need to be a worshiper all week long. That's why you need to go on walk and renew your spirit, renew your mind. Keep the Word going, but get some good worship too. And mix the Word with worship.

I'm almost done. I want you to see it. What I'm trying to say is the only thing that can keep you from God's presence is when you say, I will not worship God the way it's prescribed in this book. Everything we do, the clapping of the hands, the standing, the raising of the hands. It's not a denominational thing. It's a Bible thing. A fish cannot exist without water.

A human cannot exist without oxygen.

And I'm going to say something.

A Christian cannot live without praising and worshiping God. A real Christian cannot continue without worshiping and praising God. Now, you can do it with a pipe organ or you can do it with a guitar and lights, whatever. But you need to worship the Lord.

Sooner or later, you've got to learn how to praise God. Clap your hands, rejoice, get happy, praise God. Go around saying, thank you, Jesus, before you eat your food. Thank you, Lord, for this meal. I give you praise. I worship you. Hallelujah. Take your family, your little family and gather them around. Say, let's worship the Lord. Lift up your little hands. You taught them baseball.

to Praise the Lord. And when Satan said, worship me, God said, heaven is not big enough for two objects of worship. And Satan was cast out. And I want to close with this. Satan was cast out. Now in the book of Jude, it said he took one third of the angels in heaven with him. It says this in the book of Revelation. But we are told about those spirits and what happened to them. And it says three things happened when they joined with Lucifer and refused to worship. The Bible said they were cast. In Jude, it said they were cast down. I'm going to tell you what happens to people who don't learn to praise. You get cast down. It's not God doing it. You just get down.

You don't have to stay down. God wants you to praise your way out of the valley, praise your way out of depression, praise your way out

[Lead Pastor]

of the hopelessness that you're in.

[Worship Leader]

I'm not bound. The Bible said that he was. They were cast down. The next part of Jude, it's only one chapter and it says after they were cast down, it said, and they were bound with chains. So once you start losing your praise, you're getting farther from the heavenly atmosphere around God's throne. You get down.

[Lead Pastor]

And I've watched it.

[Worship Leader]

When people don't maintain a life of praise, they get down and then they get bound and they can't praise the Lord.

[Lead Pastor]

I'm so glad I'm free this morning.

[Worship Leader]

You can't. And if you can't praise God, you will become something you don't want to be.

[Lead Pastor]

He became from an angel. He went from being an angel to a devil because he couldn't praise the Lord. And lastly this. The Bible said that when Satan fell, one third of the angels joined him. And this is so important. If you don't worship, you encourage somebody else not worship. And it wasn't just Lucifer not worshiping, but he was anointed with an anti anointing of worship to cause a third of the population of heaven to not worship God either. Every time you don't worship, you're encouraging somebody around you to not worship. I want to go to a church where the weirdo is the one who doesn't worship the Lord. Hallelujah.
