There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the healer, and it is our delight to be able to spend this time with you. So thank you for loving the Word and being hungry for the Word. And how about we just feed on the Word together and have our lives changed? Because that's exactly what the Word does for us as we become doers of that Word. You know, it's not just the hearers, thank God. It begins with hearing the Word. But we are to move from hearing to the doing. That means the Word is to find its place in our everyday life. So we're thankful that God is helping us to understand His Word more and more, to really hear it more and more so that we know our part. Because to the Word, there's God's part, then there's man's part. And we know this, God always does his part. So we're better learning how to do our part. Well, God's part is grace. God's part is goodness. God's part is power. But our part is faith and obedience. And how many of you know faith does obey? So when we're in faith, we're walking in obedience in the Word. Whenever we need a miracle, God is always going to give us something to obey. And as we obey, his power will meet our obedience to His Word and the answer will be forthcoming. And so we're just. We're just thankful for this opportunity to learn together our part. Even better. We've been on our series called In Christ I Can, and we're coming up on what is it, Summer. We've had maybe 230, 240 episodes just on this series now. When we started it, we had no idea that we would be on it this long. And we're so grateful we're not in a rush to get off of it. But we're just thankful for all the understanding, the revelation that God is giving us on it. And we trust that it's been a blessing to you and thank you for staying with us for all these episodes. And if you haven't been with us for all the episodes in this series, go back and watch them. Because some of the things that we're teaching you just don't get with one hearing. You have to hear it over and over again. I want us to look at today, we're finishing up kind of where we were at with previous episodes. Isaiah, chapter 48. In verse 17, and this is the King James translation, I want you to see what the Word says, and especially in relation to who we are in Christ. What belongs to us in Christ. Look at what belongs to us. God is speaking. He said, I am the Lord thy God, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Now I want you to see something in Christ. Success belongs to us. We know this victory belongs to us. Well, if we're going to experience success, then we have to be taught the right way to go. And God says here he will teach us to profit. Now, we're going to look real quickly when he's using this word profit, it doesn't just seem. That's not a financial term in this setting. But notice it says, I will teach thee to profit. Then notice this which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. How are we going to prophet? We're going to follow how he's leading us. We have to go the way he's leading us or we'll not arrive at what he intended for us to experience. Now, when we look at this word prophet, as I said, it doesn't just mean simply a financial or an economic term. It is in the Hebrew, the word prophet. It means this. It means to climb, to ascend, to excel, to gain ground. I like this one rising above circumstances. So God said, I am the one who will teach you to go higher. I'm the one who will teach you to ascend. I'm the one who will teach you how to gain ground, how to excel. I'm the one who will teach you to live above circumstances. Now, isn't that amazing? That's what belongs to us in Christ. Why? Well, we know this. We've been raised in and seated with Christ in heavenly places. But we have to, in our everyday life, know how to walk out that. If I could say that this advancement that belongs to us in Christ. One thing About God. He'll never leave you in the place he found you. There's always more for us. We can always go further. We can always advance into beyond the place we're at today. We always need to pay attention to our life. Do we need to. Do we need to examine and say, wait a minute, have I advanced even from the point I was at last year? Or what about this last month? Or what about this even yesterday? Am I advancing or am I losing ground? Because one thing about faith, it will never keep you in neutral and it will never just keep you at the same place. Faith is a movement, so the Word tells us in Acts, chapter 17, verse 28. For in him we live and move and have our being. When we see this phrase, in him we live and move. What's this give us the idea? Advancing, always going forward. So know this. God will not leave you like he found you. He won't leave you in the same place. If we will follow him as he's teaching us to profit or teaching us to advance, how are we going to advance? The second phrase of that verse tells us he will lead us by the way that we should go. If we're going to. If we're going to take more ground, if we're going to go further with God, go further in our spiritual life, go further in our. What about this? Our relationships, our home, our businesses. If we're going to advance in the plan of God, we're going to have to follow the way he's leading us to go. We can't just go any direction and think that we're going to advance. We can't just take any path and. And think we'll get to where he has for us to go. We have to follow the way he's leading us. So notice this wording that he will lead us by the way that we should go. There's a way we should go, and there's a way we shouldn't go. And so we don't ever want to just resign ourselves to going to the place we shouldn't go. We have to on purpose. We have to take steps to follow him if we're going to arrive at the place we should arrive at. So again, Isaiah 48, 17. God will teach us to advance. He won't teach us to just stay where we've always been. There's always more for us in God. Now, if we're going to advance, we're only going to be able to advance by faith. It's going to call for our faith so that we don't just get rutted and rooted in the place at today. Know this. That when God delivered his people out of Egypt, what was it God was leading them on the way that they should go. As they exited Egypt, his way of leading them was through the Red Sea. His way of leading them was through the wilderness. Listen, he only wanted them to go through the wilderness, not camp in it. And when they camped there, they started facing difficulties they didn't need to face. But why did they camp there? They quit using their faith. And so because they did not keep moving with God in faith, they stayed where they were at. And for 40 years they just kept occupying that wilderness. Now, the goodness of God was he did not want his people to suffer. And even though they were not advancing, why were they not advancing? They weren't going the way they should have gone in the way he was leading them to God. Why? Because it takes faith to follow God into advancement. Because they were not using their faith. Because they were in unbelief. How did they stay in unbelief? They never brought their thinking in line with what God said to them. Their bodies were delivered, their lives were delivered out of Egypt. But their thinking was still that of a slave. They did not take on God's way of thinking. Therefore they could not advance. And so because they would not move with God in faith, that first generation died, never arriving. That's where unbelief puts us. Never arriving. But God is the one who led them to that wilderness. But he didn't intend that they camp there. Listen, don't camp at a place where God only intended for you to pass through. Because faith will never leave you camping in the wrong place. It will always leave cause you to keep advancing. So we have to advance by faith in Christ. What belongs to us is more advancement increase. God always has further to take us, but we have to go there. We can only go by faith. Now how? What are we going to have to do with our faith now? This is what we've been looking at in the past several episodes. Number one. To advance with God by faith, we have to plant the Word in our heart. Why Is it because the Word tells us that we are God's garden? In God's garden, He does not want to have barren land. He wants us to be a land that's producing and bearing fruit. If that's the case, we're going to have to have seed planted in that garden. What is the garden? It's the soil of our own spirit, the soil of our own heart. And so we have to plant the seed of God's Word and into our spirit. And as we plant that seed, what's going to happen? We're giving God something to work with. Know this, that if the seed is to grow, it has to be planted. If the plan of God is to advance in our life, we have to plant the Word in our hearts. We have to. We have to make sure that we are well. We have to realize this. The seed has to be planted or there's no advancement, there's no growth. God has a plan for our life, but we will not advance in that plan, in that plan unless we plant the seed. And so we have to recognize that once that seed is planted, we just can't walk off and leave it untended. We have to tend to that seed. How do we tend to it? Every seed has to be watered. So it's a moist seed that is going to be able to grow at the rate it should grow at. Advance at the rate it should advance at. So if the seed is to grow, the ground must be kept moist. The soil of our heart must be kept full of that Word, because the Word is the seed, but also the Word is the watering. So the first time that we hear a truth taught out of the Word, that's a seed being planted in our heart. The next time we hear that same truth being taught, it's the watering of the seed. So we have to hear more than once, what's it tell us in the Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Notice. Faith comes by hearing and hearing. Full faith does not come with one hearing. We have to hear repeatedly. What is this? This is meditation of the Word. This is what Joshua, chapter one. In verse eight, God said to Joshua. He was letting them know, if you're going to lead these people into the promised land, he said, this book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night. So what was he telling him? What you do with the Word is going to determine whether or not you arrive at what? At the promised land that I made yours. It's the same thing true with us. If we're going to arrive at the fullness of what God has planned for our lives, we're going to have to plant the Word in our heart and we're going to have to meditate on that Word. We're going to have to. We're going to have to water the seed of the Word in our spirits so that we can have a. So that we can have the Word that produces in our life, it has to grow up. So we have to make sure that we understand this. Listen. The seed of the Word is powerless until it's planted. But also a planted seed won't grow unless it's watered. So we have to make sure that we're planting the seed of the Word and we're watering. Know this. Prayer is not the planting of the seed. Why? Because the seed is the Word. Thank God for the role of prayer. Prayer is a very important part in the life of the believer. But prayer is not the seed for faith. The Word is the seed for faith. We cannot pray our way into faith. We have to sow the seed of God's Word and water it in our life. Then we know this. We have to cultivate that ground. What's that mean? We have to make sure there's nothing in our life that's going to rob the Word of its ability to produce. What will keep the Word from producing? Unforgiveness, doubt, disobedience, offense, strife in the home, all kinds of thing. Any flow that doesn't come from God will rob the seed of its power to produce. This is what I would call cultivating the ground. And so my dad, being a cotton and wheat farmer, he didn't just plant the seed and walk off, he had to come back and water it, but he also had to watch over that crop, watch over that seed to keep the wrong thing out of the field. And so this is what cultivating is. It's making certain that that seed is kept safe, that it's not. It's not impaired or robbed from through bitterness, unbelief, unforgiveness, doubt, all of these things that will rob us of God's best. One thing that we see, and we were looking at previous in the previous episodes is cultivate means this. And I'll just touch on it again real briefly. It means to prepare for a crop, we have to. When we plant the seed, we're expecting something to grow. So we're going to make sure that we get rid of anything that's going to hinder that seed. We're going to get rid of ill will, we're going to get rid of offense. We're going to get rid of strife out of our lives because we know it'll rob from the seed. So we're preparing to produce a crop. Not only that, another definition of cultivate means to improve by correction of faults. So when we recognize that there's some things in our life that's going to not benefit us. We're going to make corrections. Another thing is to study. Did you know that one definition of cultivate is to study? So that means that we're going to have to study the way God operates, study what God has for us, study to follow his plan. Then another one. A definition of cultivate is to cultivate the love of excellence. How many of you know that we should always be. If I could say this. Reaching for more and producing more and gaining ground. Never just stop at one place of development. Keep advancing, keep growing up spiritually. Keep making progress in your. In your walk with God. Keep progressing in your faith. Keep progressing in your love walk. Keep, keep progressing in the renewing of the mind. We're going to have to make sure that we are. That we're cultivating. Look at this, the love of excellence. What's that mean? We're not just saying, well, that's just the way I am, and I just leave it at that. No, I want to be the best version of myself, not just the today version, but I want to make sure I'm putting things in place so that everything about my life becomes more and more excellent. That I don't just become okay with the way I've always been. There's always more and there's always advancement. Even in the way I think, in the way I handle my business, the way I handle people, the way I conduct my own spiritual, mental and physical life and financial life. There's always another level of excellence to go to. And so if we're cultivating the Word in our life, we're going to make sure that we're not just staying where we've always been. Then another definition of cultivate means to labor to make better. That means we're going to have to be interested to apply ourselves to the Word and to protecting that seed so that it can produce to its optimum. Now, the reason any farmer ever sows a seed is for one reason, to get a harvest. And I want you to know that when we sow the seed of the Word, we can expect. Expect a harvest on that seed. Jesus said this. He said, herein is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit. Well, you can't bear fruit if we're not planting a seed. And so we have to make sure that we're planting the seed of the Word in our heart, because that's the only way we can arrive at bearing fruit. So the more seed we plant, the more potential for fruit bearing. So know this. The Word talks about seedtime and harvest. We Know this, that that is a law that God has put in place that as long as the earth exists, seed time and harvest will exist. It's never just seed time. It's never just harvest time. It's the two together, seedtime and harvest. My dad never planted a seed and then just didn't even consider a harvest. No, he planted a seed because he knew it would arrive him at a harvest. My dad also never went out to try to reap a harvest if he didn't plant a seed. So notice they move together. Seed time and harvest. Now I'm saying that to say this. It's a law. Don't break the law just by being someone who sows seed but never harvest it. Don't break the law by trying to harvest where you've never sown a seed. It's seed time and harvest. That's a law. Don't break them so much of the time. There's a mentality with people and a mindset with believers is, you know, I love being generous to someone. I love being generous to my church. I give, I sow the tithes, I give my offerings. That's right, that's good. Then they'll say, and I love giving to people. Good. But do you know what God joined to that seed? A harvest. So what's that mean? It takes faith to sow a seed, but it also takes faith to harvest it. Don't leave the unharvested seed in the field. Make sure you're harvesting. If we just say, well, I love giving to others, but I have a hard time, you know, receiving something for myself, that's breaking the law of harvest. There should be a harvest. You can expect a harvest. And that's God's idea. And it's not greed. That's something that God authored. He's the one that put seed time and harvest in place as long as the earth remains. Now, I will say this. Our motive has to be right. We're not just trying to harvest so we can appear to be impressed, impressing others with what we have. We don't find ourselves self worth in our harvest. But just know this, every seed carries a harvest. If that seed is is planted, watered and cultivated, then we can expect a harvest. Now, as I said, we have to harvest by faith. When my dad would plant a seed, he never expected that that harvest would just show up in his barn. He had to go and do his part to receive the harvest. So we harvest by faith. Now Galatians chapter 6, verse 9 tells us, and let us not be weary in well doing. For in due season we shall reap if we faint not. So this, this verse is telling us how to reap. Number one, don't grow weary in well doing. Just do what God told you to do and keep at it. And if we'll be faithful to do what he tells us to do do, then we will arrive at a place where it's due season. How do you know when it's time to harvest on a seed? I'm talking about when you have sown the word. How do you know when it's time to harvest that well we will reap in due season if we faint not. And it takes the spirit of God to lead us of when to put in the sickle so that we can receive a harvest on something. So we know this also In Hebrews chapter 6, in verse 11 and 12, it says, through faith and patience. Well we can, we can say this word. Patience is steadfastness. Through faith and being patient and steadfast, we inherit the promises. What's that mean? Just stick with what God said. Once you plant your seed, stick with it, it's going to produce. Don't do give up on that. Keep your faith out there. Now I know this, that prosperity belongs to God's people because that is God's blessing that belongs to us to. To belong to God and not prosper. Those two don't go together. And so I know this, that we're growing in the knowledge of prosperity, the truth of prosperity. I think back of all the generations. On my side of the family. On my mother's side there were Methodist circuit rider preachers. On my dad's side there were Baptist preachers. So all through my just natural lineage, there were preachers. Many of them started churches, built churches. But I know this. Not all of them would have had the kind of revelation that God has given us about the harvest, about the prosperity that belongs to us. And you know what I do? I say, father, in the spirit realm, a seed. The harvest never rots on that seed. And so for those ancestors that they planted and they didn't know to harvest, I said, by faith, I choose to harvest their seed. You say, well, is that scriptural? Well, the Word says that you shall sow where you didn't, you shall reap where you didn't plant. Another man planted and you reap. I want you to know that God does not want us to not receive our harvest. Not only do I use my faith for. For a harvest on seed I planted, but we can reap where we didn't. Sow. And so I just use my faith, Father. Any seed that my husband sowed, that he never see the harvest, I'd use my faithful that any ancestor that they sowed and they never. They didn't know to reap a harvest. That crop has not rotted in the spirit realm. It's waiting for someone to harvest it. And I choose to harvest it. Because you shall reap where another man sowed. And so we. We have to realize if we'll follow the Holy Ghost, he will always lead us to know how to harvest. So know this, that a garden is not meant to be barren. It's meant to always be producing. And so many are waiting for God to send a miracle their way. And he's waiting them to. For them to harvest on a seed that they've sown. You do it by faith. Once you release your faith, once you sow your seed. Rather you water that seed, you watch over that seed to keep it cultivated. You say, father, at due season, I thank you for helping me recognize my harvest and leading me into it. I love what God told one preacher some time back. He was believing God for an airplane. And he had the resources to buy a certain airplane that he thought this one would fulfill my need. And the Spirit of God spoke to him right before he was going to purchase it. And he said, don't reap the blade, wait for the full corn in the earth. Well, what's he talking about? There's a passage in the Word. It tells us, first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear. What's this mean? The seed goes through a process of growing. Don't reap it when it's not the full corn in the ear. Don't reap it when it's only a blade. And so he didn't buy that one. And just a short time later, a better plan came along. God gave him something better. If you, he had not followed the Holy Ghost, he would have reaped a blade when he could have waited for the full corn in the ear. That's why through faith and patience, we inherit the promises. Be patient for your harvest to reach its peak. Don't try to harvest something. Don't settle for less. That's what I mean. Don't settle for something less because you think something better is not coming. Follow the Holy Ghost because he. He wants you to reap a full harvest, not just a partial harvest. He wants you to reap that harvest when it's at its peak. And the Holy Ghost is the one who will lead you to do that. He'll say, start a business. He'll say, sow this way and it will open up an avenue for you to come to, for that harvest to come to you. There's so many ways that the Spirit of God leads us. If you'll follow him, he will lead you on, using your faith to reap the harvest on the seeds you've sown. Amen. It's not seed time. It's seed time and harvest. It's not just harvest. It's seed time and harvest. Let's not be lawbreakers. Let's do the whole law, that law of seed, time and harvest. Let's participate in it and receive all God has for us. Amen. That's what belongs to us. Well, we're so glad you joined us today. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Podcast: Jesus the Healer w/ Nancy Dufresne Audio Podcast
Episode: 1000 | In Christ I Can, Part 240
Date: May 1, 2026
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
Main Theme: Living in continual advancement by faith, understanding the law of seedtime and harvest, and partnering with God’s Word to reach our potential in Christ.
This episode, part of the long-running “In Christ I Can” series, centers on how believers are called to continual advancement and increase through faith in God’s Word. Nancy Dufresne teaches on Isaiah 48:17, the law of seedtime and harvest, and the keys to moving beyond spiritual stagnation by cultivating, watering, and harvesting the Word. The practical, faith-oriented message encourages listeners to interact actively with God’s promises, expect progress in every area, and never settle for less than God’s best.
“One thing about God: He’ll never leave you in the place He found you. There’s always more for us. We can always advance into beyond the place we’re at today.”
“We can’t just go any direction and think that we’re going to advance... we have to follow the way He’s leading us.”
“Don’t camp at a place where God intended for you to pass through. Faith will never leave you camping in the wrong place” (11:00).
“Never just stop at one place of development. Keep advancing, keep growing up spiritually. Keep making progress in your walk with God” (20:00).
Nancy wraps up with a charge: actively engage with the spiritual law of seedtime and harvest. Don’t short-circuit your progress by failing to harvest or trying to harvest where you haven’t sown. Trust God for increase in every area—spiritually, relationally, financially—and let the Holy Spirit lead you in every step.
Final Encouragement:
"Let's not be lawbreakers. Let's do the whole law, that law of seed, time and harvest. Let's participate in it and receive all God has for us. Amen. That’s what belongs to us." (26:45)
This summary covers the practical and spiritual keys Nancy Dufresne shared on advancing with God: always grow, plant the Word, remove hindrances, stick with the process, and expect a harvest in due season. The teaching maintains her warmly personal, encouraging, and faith-stirring tone. If you’re looking for a life of steady progress—spirit, soul, and body—this episode is packed with actionable wisdom and encouragement.
