There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. Thank you for taking the time to join us. And we invite you, get your Bible, get some. Something to take notes on. Because we, we're believing for you to hear answers for your life. And how many of you know that you never can open the Word and listen to the Word, hear the Word, and not hear answers? Because God's Word is His answer for our life. And we've been looking in the past couple of episodes at Acts chapter 17 and verse 28, because we're still on this series called In Christ I can. And Acts 17:28 shows so, so much. It says, in him we live and move and have our being. So notice this, that he has made Himself ours so that our living, our moving, and our entire being can be drawn on him. That he is the supply for all of it. And so we have to recognize that we have a higher place to draw on rather than ourselves. That he has filled us with Himself because He is wanting us to acknowledge Him. And the more we acknowledge him, the more he can move and manifest and work through us. So know this. God authored a plan for your life. Then he filled you with Himself so that he could fulfill the plan through you. We are his channel. We are the one that he wants to manifest and flow through. And then he turns around and rewards us for allowing him to work through us. It's such a deal. It gives us the best life when we realize that we're spending him and we're not just spending us. Thank God that God has made Himself ours. And the thing of it, that was his idea. It was his plan. And so for us to belong to him means more than really what the human mind can fathom, what it can grasp. But our spirits can, by faith, receive that we are one With Him. Jesus, during his earthly ministry, he would declare this. He would say, don't you know that I am one with the Father and the Father is one with me. I'm in my Father, my Father is in Me. And he does the works. So Jesus was letting us know the miracles. The flow of heaven that was manifest through his life came from the Father in Him doing the works. He was letting us know that miracles came from the oneness with the Father. And this is what redemption was about. To bring us into a place of oneness with the Father. And in being one with the Father of a necessity. We had to be redeemed from sin, delivered from, from the power of sin, cleansed of sin. But also it was just so we could be one with the Father. So know this. Being one with the Father gives us the best life. It's the highest flow we could ever experience in this earth is to live out of the One who has filled us. In Colossians chapter 2 in verse 9, the living Bible Translation this is been a golden text for us in this series. But it reads in Colossians 2, verse 9 For in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. Notice this. This is why Jesus paid the price for us. So that we could be filled with with God, so that we could be one with him. That we do not see where we end and he begins. But there's such a oneness that we are constantly. He has made Himself one with us so that we could spend Him. Don't spend the old man. When the new man is full of God. Don't go back to the old man that is consumed with self, consumed with humanity. But we draw on the new man because it tells us in the Word that when we're born again, old things are passed away. All things become new. That we are new creatures in Christ. We're a species being that had never existed before. What is that? We're God filled. And the remarkable thing of it, it was his plan. God planned to make us one with Him. And Jesus purchased that plan. And it's the Spirit of God who leads us into that plan every single day. We need the help of the Holy Spirit to teach us how to live as one with the Father, how to draw on the Father, how to yield to the Father. Acknowledge the Father. Listen. God and His Word are one. So in Acts chapter 17 and verse 28 when it says, in him we live. We could say this in the Word we live. Why? Because in the Word we learn our Father. We don't learn our Father from our emotions. We don't learn our Father by feelings, by whether we feel him or sense him or not. Thank God. We should sense him. But we don't learn him through feelings because that can deceive us to have a proper understanding of the Father. God and His Word are One. So when we say in him we live, what's this mean? We have to. We have to build in us a foundation of the Word. Because when we draw on the Word, we're drawing on the One who fills us. So God is not going to move in our lives apart from the Word. If we say that we are one with Christ, we say that God has filled us with Himself, the way Jesus was one with the Father, then we're going to have to recognize that by going to the Word and being Word people. So it says again in Acts 17, in him we live and move and have our being. For us to live the life he really authored for us, it requires God working through us. It requires us yielding to Him. How much can God work through us? He can work through us to the degree that we yield to him, the degree that we acknowledge Him. If we acknowledge Him a little bit, he'll manifest a little bit. He'll work a little bit. But if we will acknowledge him fully, then he will be the fullness of how our life is comprised, that he will be the one that gains the expression. So when people say, I want more of God, let me tell you this. You're already filled with God. That's what Colossians 2, verse 10 tells us. You are filled with God through your union with Christ. It's not about getting more of God. It's about us responding more to God. Because the more we yield to him, the more we respond to him, the more we acknowledge him, the greater the flow that we will recognize that he's able to manifest through our life. So know this. Don't fall into this thinking that I've got to get more. No, I need to. I need to have greater revelation of the One who fills me, that when I see and recognize who he is, what he will do, what he will be through Me, in Me and for me. That's how we have more of God. It's not by, if I could say this, him withholding something from us. And we're trying to coerce him to give him something, to give us something more of Himself. He's already. He's not withheld any of Himself. From us. It's about us recognizing who he is, what he will do, and what he will be in us, for us and through us. And acknowledging that a day that we acknowledge him is a day that he can manifest. The day that we forget to acknowledge him is the day we go back to being the way we used to be. We start drawing on who we used to be. We start thinking the way we used to think or respond the way we used to respond. Do you know that one day we can respond to God and the next day not respond to Him? What's that mean? Every day let's give ourselves the spiritual habit of responding to him, drawing on him, yielding to him. You say, well, Pastor Nancy, how do I respond to Him? First of all, acknowledge Him. Put him in your thoughts. Recognize he's in you. He's with you. It's not trying to get him. It's recognizing he's in me. So I'm going to acknowledge Him. When we acknowledge him, we give way to Him. We give place to Him. That means that we. We consider him before we say something. We consider him before we think something. We consider him before we do something. I remember something God said to me years ago. And he said, if you wouldn't think it about Jesus, don't think it about anyone else. If you wouldn't say it to Jesus, don't say it to anyone else. If you wouldn't do it to Jesus, don't do it to anyone else. And so what is that? That means we're considering him first. We're considering the One who has filled us so that we take our cues from. From him instead of taking our cues from the lower nature of self. And you say, well, I have to die to self. Well, can I say this? The Old man was crucified with Christ. It was buried with Christ. What it means when we say. We hear the phrase, I need to die to self, it's really just quit drawing on self, Draw on Him. Quit giving self the attention. Give the attention to Him. That's how we put him to work for us. We acknowledge Him. And so we say, father, if you wouldn't do it, I'm not doing it. If you wouldn't go there. If it wouldn't be pleasing with you for me to go there, I'm not going there. If I shouldn't be in that location, I won't go to that location because I want my deeds to glorify you. It says that we're to glorify him in word and indeed what we do with our Body should glorify God. Where we take our body should glorify God. Do you know people will say, I've had a lot of wrong things happen in my life? Well, I would have to say this. If you go to wrong locations, wrong things happen. That's why we have to say, I want to be where God wants me to be. Because then things that God want to happen, wants to happen in our life can happen in right locations. But if we go to wrong places, be around wrong people, we will begin to love wrong things. Know this. You love what you're around. Sometimes people develop an appetite for something and they say, well, I love doing this. Well, if you're around the wrong thing, you can grow. You can develop an appetite for something that's against the plan of God for your life. That's why. That's why I was very careful to keep my children around the right thing, to keep them on course with the plan of God for their life. My dad was a cotton and wheat farmer. And my oldest son was so much like my dad in his abilities. They were very close in how they thought, how they operated and what they liked. And my dad said to me one time when my son was a teenager, he said, nancy, if you will send him to be with me in the summertime, he said, I'll train him to farm. He said, and then I will leave to him the farms. I'll leave to him the equipment. I'll leave it to the family, but I'll leave it to him to run it so that it will end up blessing my family. And, you know, he would share the fruit of that with Daddy's family. And I said, daddy, my son loves doing that. He loves that you love doing that. But God has a call on his life. And I can't confuse my son by giving him an appetite for something that would draw him away from the plan of God. I didn't keep my son away from my parents. I kept him away from developing an appetite for something that would confuse him. Just because you like something, just because you developed an appetite for something doesn't mean God offered it. And so to live in him means that we stay away from things that would develop an appetite for things that would pull us away from what he planned for us. People think just because they like it that God wants them to do it. Well, you can begin to like the wrong thing by being around the wrong thing. So many times people will fall in love and marry the wrong person because they were around the wrong people. What you're around is what you will eventually love. So that's why you want to make sure that where I take my body, what I participate in, I want it to glorify God. I want it to play into the plan of God for my life. I don't want it to draw me away from the plan of God for my life. I love what one general of the faith said. He wrote this in one of his books and he made this statement. He said, before I put my hand to anything, before I pick up a project or before I begin to do something, he said, I asked myself this question first. Is this going to further me in the plan of God for my life? Or is it going to distract me from the plan of God for my life? That means he was sober. He recognized that everything he participated in would take a place in his life. And he wanted to make sure it would draw him into the plan of God and not away from the plan of God. So we see this in him. We live. God has a plan for our life. And to live in him, we have to live in that plan. We have to embrace the plan. We have to live mindful that every step I take is going to lead me further into the plan or away from the plan. Everything I fellowship with will either clarify the plan of God for me or confuse me about the plan of God. That's why I'm careful with my fellowship. That's why I'm careful with who I let be a voice in my life. Because if they don't help me to live accurately, I don't have room for it. I only want what God planned for my life to live in Him. You know what that means? One of the things it means is I have to rid myself of personal ambition. Ambition is not a flow of the life of God. It's not a flow of the nature of God. I want you to know that motive is everything to God. I don't have an ambition for a big ministry. I don't have an ambition that I be well known. Why is that? I've been through enough difficulties in life that that strips you of wanting to promote self. I want the plan of God. That's all I want. And I don't decide what that plan looks like. If it were up to me, I'd be a church secretary somewhere. I would enjoy that immensely. I would love to administrate your office. I'd love to organize your paperwork. I would love to do all of that stuff. But you know what? I don't consult my ambition to address my obedience. I rid myself of personal preference. Not because I'm a robot, but because I choose his plan. And I don't want something to compete with my affections for his plan. By putting something of ambition in place. I don't want motives to twist my path. I want to just please him. And it doesn't matter to me where that's at, you know? Someone asked our spiritual father, Kenneth Hagin. They asked him. They said, brother Hagin, you seem so settled. It seems like nothing disturbs you. They said, how did you become so settled and listened to his words? He said, because I suffered so much. What's that mean? I suffered so much. He wasn't talking about God bringing suffering. He was saying that in the face of tests and opposition, he learned God. Not that God sent the test, not that God sent the opposition, but he learned how to draw on the greater One within him. He learned to put the Word to work for him. And so at every test and every opposition, he drew on God. And that settled him. So to be unsettled is an invitation to learn God better. To be unsettled is an invitation to learn to yield to Him. And so I would say this. The more we face tests and opposition, the more we should let it rid us of personal ambition. I just don't really care what the world calls important anymore. Why is that? I've been through enough. I have faced enough opposition. I have faced enough, if I could say this, spiritual opposition. Not just personal opposition, not just financial issues, not just. Just issues as a human. But I faced enough spiritual opposition to where I had to learn and stay with the Word of God. If I was going to experience the victory that belonged to me, I had to learn God. And I'm still learning. And we all should be still learning. But notice this. You get to the point to where nothing satisfies me but like what he planned. And so just know this. When we are going to live under this great flow that Acts 17:28 talks about, in him we live, that means we get rid of anything that isn't Him. My personal ambition didn't come from him. The plan of God came from Him. That's what I'm interested in. I'm not trying to look successful in the eyes of people because there's so many people that the world would call successful that God would say, they missed the mark, they missed my highest, they missed my best. I want God pleased more than anyone else because he's the One who paid for me. He's the One who planned a life for me. He's the One who wanted to be one with me. And so I don't let other people sway me. I don't let other people say, well, well, we think you ought to do this, or we think you ought to do that. It's not that I don't listen to people, but I want to recognize God in your counsel. If I'm going to listen to you, I'm going to have to recognize that that's in line with what I have in my spirit. Because I will not let somebody who hasn't heard the plan of God for my life direct my life. I know this. I will be accountable for God. You will be accountable to God for what God has said to you. And not everyone has heard what God has said to me. Not everyone has heard what God has said to you. So don't let others sway you from people who didn't hear from God about you. And know this. We are not led by people. We are led by the spirit of God in our spirits. And anything that someone else may say to us should only confirm what our spirit spirit has already received from God. It should not confuse us. It should not make us waver. If it's against what we have in our spirit. We are kind to them, but we set aside what they say. We don't take in words that would draw us from the highest life. In him we live. I don't live in the minds of others. I don't live in the mouth of others. I don't live in the opinion of others. I don't live in what others plan. In him we live. This is. This is so huge in our life that we recognize that if we're going to live the highest and the best, he's the source of everything. And if it doesn't come from Him, I'm not interested. If it doesn't lead me to Him, I'm not interested. Know this. That God will lead you to people, but only to people that will lead you to Him. If people lead you away from Him, God has more different people for you. And I've learned this, that we can't. We can't fellowship with the ones God has put in our life as fully as we ought. Unless we walk away from people that God didn't put in our life. You have to choose if you're going to advance in God. You have to choose who you listen to, where you go and who is a voice into your life. Because know this. God has blessed us. He will put those around us who will lead us to Him. We do have to be Listening to someone else. Why is that? Because it's easier and really accelerated learning to learn from somebody who's already been there that they can help us along our way in a speedier fashion. But know this, that's not just everyone. That someone who their life has shown advancing in God. And I don't want to exchange the plan of God for fellowship with another person. The fellowship of other people are not a worthy exchange for the plan of God. If someone's going to rob me of my. Of the plan of God in my life, I'm not willing to make that exchange. So know this. Really consecrating yourself, it's not a hardship, it's a joy because it brings you into the fullness of what God wants for you. Consecration means this. I'm going to eliminate something in my life that I want to be filled with God if I want. If I want God to be the fullness of that area, I'm going to get rid of anything else that occupies that area so he can fill it. So know this, that to live in him we live. That's the best life. That's what God offers for us. So he has given us himself for our life. Why would we say, no, I'll just take what others want, I'll take what I plan for my life? No, if he gives us himself to really live life in its highest sense, then we get rid of anything else that would challenge that, that would dilute that, or that would draw us away from that. Well, I just want you to know that no matter how difficult life has been, the plan of God is still available. I want you to know, no matter how many steps you may have missed, no matter how many wrong directions you may have taken in life, no matter how many wrong relationships or wrong marriages you might have gotten into, everything that ever belonged to you in Christ, it still belongs to you in Christ. Do you know that any misstep will not rob you of what God still has made yours in Christ? If you will adjust yourself, say, father, I repent of that wrong step. Now this is the thing we have to recognize. Repentance is such a. God rewards repentance. Why is that? Because when we say, father, I did it wrong, then what he does, he shows up in a very strong way to bring us back into the place to where we experience his best. So know this. With the prodigal son, when he came home and he repented to his father, his father rewarded him. His father was not ashamed of him. And he didn't distance himself from him. He took it public. My son is back home. Let's have a party. I want the entire community to know I'm not ashamed that my son has made himself right through repentance. And I receive him in his repentance and I reward him for that repentance. We can't just keep doing wrong and keep doing wrong and keep doing wrong and and persist in wrongdoing and think that we can live the life God authored for us. But once we recognize, wait a minute, I've cheated my life by the choices I made, I'm going to repent of that. Everything that has ever belonged to you in Christ is still yours. So I want you to correct any kind of thinking of condemnation, any kind of thinking of shame that makes you think that I have to lay down something of God's best because I missed it so much. I made so many wrong decisions. That's what the blood of Jesus is for, to put it back as though you never missed it. So correct the way you think. Don't let the accuser of the brethren do your thinking for you. He has failed from the beginning and he will like to turn you into a failure in your thinking. But if you'll recognize, wait a minute. Christ is in me. I'm in him. And that elevates my life. And I choose from this day forward, in him I live. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Episode: 1008 | In Christ I Can, Part 248
Date: May 13, 2026
Host: Nancy Dufresne
Theme: Embracing Oneness with Christ and Living in God’s Plan
In this episode of "Jesus the Healer," Nancy Dufresne continues her “In Christ I Can” teaching series, focusing on what it truly means to live “in Him” as described in Acts 17:28 ("In Him we live and move and have our being"). Nancy explores the implications of oneness with Christ, how believers can draw on God's fullness, and practical steps to align daily life with God’s plan—emphasizing yielding to the Holy Spirit, letting go of personal ambitions, and responding to God’s leading rather than external voices.
Nancy Dufresne’s teaching centers on actively yielding to the indwelling Christ, letting go of anything (ambition, unhealthy relationships, past mistakes) that competes with God’s plan. She urges practical daily habits—acknowledging God's presence, aligning actions with His Word, and surrounding oneself with influences that further God’s design. Above all, she reassures listeners that God’s best remains available through repentance and renewed alignment with Christ.
Key takeaway:
"In Him we live." True success and satisfaction come from embracing oneness with Christ, fully responding to His indwelling presence, and refusing to let anything—ambition, opinion, or condemnation—distract or deter from God’s highest plan.
