There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

I receive it right now.

From the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're with us today for Jesus the healer. And we invite you to take notes on what God may say to you today. Follow along with us in your Bible and we. We're expecting God to give you answers for your life. And how many of you know, we get what we expect. So we invite you, release your faith to receive what God has for you. Today we're in the middle of a series called In Christ I Can. And it has been a complete joy that we have been to me, especially on this topic, because the Holy Ghost is helping us because really the foundation of our redemption is to know who we are in Christ, who He is in us, who he is for us and through us to be a blessing to others. So know this. It's up to us to yield to the greater one that's on the inside of us. We've been using in this, in this series, our golden text, Colossians chapter 2, verses 9 and 10. And this is the living Bible translation. And it says this. For in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything. When you have Christ, look at this. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. So doesn't that bring us into a whole different flow of life? That the life of God, the nature of God is on the inside of us? Listen. At the new birth, God did something with our spirits. He gave us a new spirit. He took out that old sin nature and he replaced it with his own nature. We have the nature of God, the life of God, the ability of God. Eternal life is on the inside of us. Why is that? Because he is. He has filled us with himself, and he filled us with himself so we would draw on him. Now God did something with our spirits, but he did not do anything with our mind and our body. It's up to us. He has done something with our mind and body in the respect of he told us what to do with our mind and body. God addressed our spirits, but he has given us his word so that we can address our minds and our bodies. Romans chapter 12 and verse 1, it tells us what to do with our bodies. Present your bodies unto God. And what's he mean by presenting your body to God? That means don't present it to sin. Don't let it participate in the flow that it used to be be participating in. But now present your bodies to the way God wants you to use your body. So we present our bodies to God. And know this, you have to do this by faith with your spirit. Your spirit has to say, I choose to allow my body to only do that which is pleasing and glorifying to God. So you have to do that. You have to use your faith to agree with God inwardly about your body. You don't take counsel from your body, your body will lead you in the wrong directions in life. Well, we have the life of God and the nature of God on the inside of us that helps us to dominate that physical body. Not only that, we're told in Romans chapter 12, verse 2. The very next verse, verse 1 tells us, present your bodies to God. A sacrifice holy, acceptable unto God. The amplified rather verse 2 says this. Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed. Look at this. By the renewing of your mind. Verse one tells us what to do with the body. Verse two tells us what to do with the mind. If we don't do those things with the mind, with the body, we will imprison our spirit. And know this, your spirit is in direct. Or we could say this. The. The. The flesh of man is at enmity with God is what the word says, meaning it's on the opposite team of your spirit. Your flesh is over here, your spirit is over here. And what is going to be the variable? It's going to be the soul of man, which is your mind, your will and your emotions. The renewed mind will side in with your spirit. The unrenewed mind will sight in with your body. So know this, the mind can go back and forth. It can either cooperate with your spirit, the faith in your spirit, the nature of God that's on the inside of you, or it can or it will side up with the body. So what's this mean? If we will take on the thoughts of God, our minds will will join forces with our spirit. And how many of you know two against One always wins against the body. It dominates the body. And so that's why we present our body to God. We quit presenting it to wrongdoing, but we renew our minds so that when we think like God, then we, our minds will agree with the faith that's in our spirit and it won't hold our spirits captive. So many people, they want to do right inwardly, but their mind and their body dominate them. And so they live disappointed because the insides, they want to do right in their spirit. You know, if you're born again, your spirit wants to do right. But it's up to how we handle the mind and the body as to whether or not we are going to let our spirit have its way. God will not force us into doing right, but he has empowered us to do right. So know this sin shall not lord it over you. What's that mean? Is that the old way of living is not your boss anymore. You are authorized to talk to your mind and your body and say, you're not pushing my life around anymore. The life of God is on the inside of me. We draw from the greater One who's on the inside of us. And so here we've been using in the past couple of episodes, Acts, chapter 17, verse 28, where it's written, in him we live and move and have our being. Know this, that we are to draw on the greater One that's in us. How can we do that? Well, Colossians 2 in verse 10 that we just read says, you are filled with God through your union with Christ. So because you are filled with God, now acknowledge the One you're filled with. Yield to the One you're filled with. And so it says, in him, we live in Him. Look at this. We move. If we're living in him, that means that his life is the sustaining force of our life. We don't just wait for moments in life to yield to Him. He's to be the sustaining force of our daily life, that every day we're mindful to allow him to. To manifest through us, putting him to work for us, drawing on Him. You say, well, Pastor Nancy, I know I need to do that. How do I do that? Well, what does the Word say? What does the Word tell us to do that when we live in line with the Word, that we are bringing our lives in agreement with the Word, our thinking in agreement with the Word, our deeds in agreement with the Word? What happens? God and His Word are One. He is able to live and manifest through us. Whenever we are being doers of the Word in Him we live. We don't go to our other features to draw our direction from. We draw it from him who is in our spirit. We don't go to our flesh to find our next action. We don't just go to an unrenewed mind to. To find how we should handle a situation. But we draw on the Greater One who's on the inside of us. Now, the more we acknowledge him who is in us, the more we recognize he's in us. I am filled with God. Why? Because of my union with Christ. That's what Colossians 2:10 tells us. So when you acknowledge I am filled with God. So I'm going to take my cues I for today's life, the life I'm living today, I'm going to take my cues from the One who abides within. If it's not okay with him, it's not okay with me. If he's not directing it, I'm not doing it. If he's not pleased, I'm not doing it. And so many times people are saying, I just want more of God. Well, can I tell you, there's not God's not withhold, withheld any of Himself from us. But to have more of God, that really means acknowledge him more, respond to him more. We can't necessarily have more of him, but we can respond more to Him. We can acknowledge more of Him. We can recognize what the Word says of who he is in us. And the more we acknowledge him, the more we yield to him, what happens? The greater the flow we have of his nature and his life manifesting through us. So it's not about talking God and coercing God into giving us more. It's about us yielding to Him. And the more we yield to the human side, to our flesh, to our feelings, to what we want in life, the less room we're giving him to manifest. So the less we respond to us, the more we respond to Him. The more we respond to him, the less we respond to us. There can come a point to where we grow in our consecration and we grow in our walk with God that we just don't even allow the human side to have sway over us. We become so skillful with the Word and yielding to the One within, that that's the One that God in us is magnified and glorified because he's getting his way through us. That's completely how Jesus lived. He was not on this earth for fulfilling his own desires. Jesus made the statement. He said, my meat, the thing that sustains me. The thing that nourishes my existence, my meat, is to do the will of him that sent me and to finish his work. Notice it wasn't enough that he was born the Son of God. He had to obey as the Son of God. He had a work to finish. He had a plan to fulfill. And he was never on this earth expressing his own desire. Jesus made the statement. He said, I only say what I hear my Father say. I only do what I see my Father do. Jesus had his own will, but he laid down his will to pick up God's will. And that's exactly what the renewed mind does. It recognizes that my own will will cheat me out of the best life. But if I will yield my will to His, God will never take your will from us. From you. God will never override your will. We must choose his will instead of choosing our own human plans, our own human thinking over his. So know this. Acts 17. In him we live and move and have our being. So if we if for us to really live the life he authored, it requires him working through us by us yielding to Him. Now we've been looking spending the last several episodes so much on. In him we live. But look at this. In him we move. What's this show us? God will not lead us to a stationary life. If we're following him, there will be movement. What kind of movement? The movement of faith. The movement of the life of God on the inside of us. That God will always keep us moving in this life. Not stationary, not stagnant. And what's it mean? What do we mean when we talk about moving? I would dare to say it includes being fruitful. Jesus said, herein is my Father glorified that you bear much fruit. Well, how can we bear much fruit that we move with the plan of God by faith. That's how we're going to bear much fruit. We obey God in Him, we move. We don't refuse to move. We. We choose to move into a life of obedience. Can I tell you this? Faith is obedience to God. Faith is acting like the Word is true. Faith is doing the word. Faith will not just turn you into a hearer. Faith will turn you into a doer. And it's the doers that bear much fruit, not just the hearers. Jesus said, those who are blessed are those who hear what I say and do it. So notice this. Hearing is to move us to doing. Hearing is not enough. Hearing is not the stopping place. Hearing is just enabling us to move into the doing. You know what's that mean if we're going to in him, we live, in him we move. That means in him we're going to have much fruit. We're going to have obedience in our life. If you look at the life of Elisha, you'll remember that God spoke to Elijah, the prophet. And he said, go anoint Elisha to be prophet in your room. In other words, prophecy. Bring him into the room of the spirit you occupy. Bring him into and let him see how you move, how you operate. He was saying, train him. And so in that, when Elijah heard what God said, he went to where Elisha was and it says, he threw his mantle, his garment, his coat over Elisha. That's all he did, he just threw it over him. What was it? That's your invitation to come up under this. Now, he had to choose to obey. But this is what I want you to see. The day Elijah went and threw his mantle over Elisha, inviting him into a place of training with him. Notice what Elisha was doing. When Elijah found Elisha, he was plowing with 12 yoke of oxen. That's always impressed me. You talk about an ox much larger than a cow. 12 yoke of them. What's that mean? That means there were 12 oxen yoked up to 12 other oxen, two moving together under the command of Elisha. That day was 24 oxen. Think of the fortitude of this man, the strength of this man. This man was a doer. He was putting himself to a labor that really, it showed that he has a. He had a life of movement. He was a working man. He was a man who was producing. And he was in the field working. When that mantle and inviting him into a higher place in God was thrown upon him. He was out working. I want you to know that faith and a life in God, in him. We move, we're producing, we're fruit bearing, we're obeying, we're taking ground. We're not just floating and waiting for our ministries to be recognized. No, we're out working. And you know, to someone who's moving with God, they don't really care what that movement is as long as God's directing it, as long as God is authoring it. I don't really care where God puts me. It doesn't matter to me because I know this God will always give me the best life. God will always treat me right. So I could not prefer a better plan than what God's already authored for me. So I am quite content to say his plan is best. And so I'm not developing a preference of my own. You know, sometimes people don't advance with God as they should or in the plan of God as they should, because they think some things are beneath them. I want you to know nothing is beneath us in the plan of God. Let me explain it to you this way. When my husband was invited by a co worker, he was a construction man, a builder at the time that he was invited to church. And he went to a church and heard the salvation message for the first time that morning at church on that Sunday morning, he was born again. That night he went back to church and they told him, bring your Bible. And he brought his big Catholic Bible with him. He was ready to obey whatever they said. But he walked into the service that night and after the service he went up to the pastor and he said, Pastor, for 25 years I've been living for the devil. But he said, now that I'm born again, he said, is there something I can do for God? And the pastor said, yes, there is. He said, I don't have anyone in the church that will clean the toilets. And my husband said, that's my job, I'll do it. Notice this. He had a church full of people. There was an entire congregation. And the pastor said, I don't have anyone who will clean the toilets. What does that mean? The pastor was left to clean them. So when this pastor heard this man say, well, what can I do for God? Notice what it looked like. Doing for God looked like work. Doing for God did not look like a sermon in a pulpit. It looked like somebody just doing what was needed to be done. So many times if we're not careful, we can become so calm minded that we don't even recognize what's in front of us to do. Some will say, well, I'm not called to this, or I'm not called to that. Well, it helps you to know what you're called to. But can I tell you this? If you're not doing anything, do what's right in front of you to do. And that's exactly where my husband found himself. There was nothing else available to him or offered to him. The pastor said, I don't have anyone to clean the church or rather to clean the restrooms. And that's what my husband said. That's my job. I'll do it. But I want you to see this. This man had a chance. Church full of people, but no one would do that work. Why was it everyone thought it was beneath them? When you love God and When you're following God, nothing is beneath you. That is something involving God. Do you know, you say, well, cleaning the restroom isn't involving God. If it's the place where God's people meet, it matters. We always want to be a blessing at the place where we're learning God, meeting with God, and that's the local church. So my husband was so glad to be the help. He put himself to work. Why? Because in him we live, in him, we move. My husband was looking for a place to move. He was looking for a place to serve, he was looking for a place to bring a supply. And he did not put stipulations on what that could look like. I know this, that in pastoring for 25 years, there were a few times that I would try to help people that thought that certain, certain work was not worthy of them. And I would have. I remember on one occasion I was speaking to somebody and they said, pastor Nancy, I don't have a job. I've been without a job for a certain amount of months, and I'm really struggling. And I said, well, where have you put in applications? Have you put applications in somewhere? And they go, yes. And I said, well, if you put applications in places that you would like to work, what about putting applications in in different places places? If you put applications in at the places you prefer and nothing's opened up, you're going to have to go to different places. And I said, you know, I was at such and such a store the other day. I saw help wanted signs there. What about going putting an application there? And they said, oh, but you don't understand. I have a degree. I have a, you know, a college degree. And I said, well, that's good. But know this, you're also unemployed. Know this, you're not. You're not able to pay your mortgage on your house. Your family is struggling. So it's not about a degree, it's about work right now. And so they said, well, I'm not going to do that. That's beneath my degree. I'm more educated than that. And I said, you know, the thing is, even though you're educated, you don't have money. Even though you're educated, you don't have enough to feed your family. So evidently, it's not about education right now, it's about work. In him we move. If you want God to promote you, start moving with what's in front of you, what's available to you. And so my husband was willing to put his hand to whatever was offered right to him. Why is that? Because he didn't think anything was beneath him if he was going to move with God. And a lot of people will do something if it looks impressive, but what about if it doesn't look impressive? I want you to know it's not the task that makes you look worthy. It's the honor you bring to the task. It elevates the task by the measure of honor you bring to it. God was honored by the attitude and the heart my husband had just to help clean those restrooms. And you say, well that's a far stretch. Well, I want you to know the Word says whatever you do, in word or deed, do all to the glory of God. I don't care what the task is, but when you do it to the glory of God, you just elevated that task because you brought an honorable purpose and motive into what you put your hand to. So my husband served there for years just cleaning the restrooms. After a short amount of time, the pastor was so blessed by his willingness to just be used that the pastor asked him clean the whole building. Well, my husband took that on even though he was working somewhere else. He took on cleaning the restrooms, cleaning the whole church. And then the pastor asked him to be a door greeter. And because he was faithful, the pastor asked him to have a leading voice in the church. So know this, whenever God was looking for someone to do a task, he's going to find someone who's willing to work. And it's not self assigned work, it's whatever is available, whatever is needed. And we, we sometimes don't recognize that God isn't just looking for someone who will do something that's visible. But what motive and what if I could say honor do you bring to a task that isn't that visible? When God was looking to find a man that he could promote into the healing ministry, because in 1971, Jesus walked in and put a healing anointing in, in my husband's right hand. What preceded that? Cleaning the restrooms, cleaning the whole church, being a door greeter at the church, then being a leading position in the church. He found a worker, he found someone who was moving. God is going to have a difficult time assigning someone to movement who's not moving. When you, when you want God to move in your life, start moving. Be a doer of what is available to you. Put your hand to something and bear fruit. Know this, in him we live. And if we're in him, we should be moving. And if we're not moving, we're not yielding to to the One who's on the inside of us. Because the God in us will turn us into someone fruitful. He will turn us into someone who puts movement to our faith. It's not just enough to have words of faith, we have to have actions of faith. Words of faith. We confess we put faith words in our mouth. But we also are to have actions that show we have faith. Many times people will freely talk about what they like, but it's actions that show what we really believe. And so in him we live. But because we live in him, it will turn us into someone who's moving with Him. We're putting our hand to something and we're producing for the kingdom. Like I said, the task is not as important as the motive, as the hunger to be a help and a blessing. Many people would jump at the offer to do something publicly and something that would contribute to notoriety. But how many just say, I just want to bear fruit. It doesn't matter to me just so long as God is glorified. I want you to know those are the people that are safe with promotion. When somebody is too particular about what task they'll put their hand to, they're probably not as safe with promotion as they need to be. So know this that faith is a movement. Faith will move with God. But if we're moving with Him, I guarantee you he won't leave us stationary. We move into producing much fruit to his glory. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until then, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode 1009 | In Christ I Can, Part 249 | May 14, 2026
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her in-depth teaching series, "In Christ I Can," focusing on understanding our identity in Christ, the work of the Holy Spirit within, and practical steps to live out our faith. The central theme revolves around yielding to the "greater One" inside, renewing the mind, presenting the body to God, and moving in obedience as expressions of faith. Through scriptural insight and personal anecdotes, Nancy encourages listeners to embrace a life of action (“in Him, we move”) and fruitfulness for God's glory.
Nancy Dufresne passionately teaches that the Christian life is marked by action, obedience, and humility. Yielding to the indwelling God means more than confession—it transforms our minds, disciplines our bodies, and directs us to serve faithfully in any capacity. Movement with God opens opportunities for fruitfulness and promotion, and nothing is beneath those who truly love and follow Him. The call to listeners: Be a doer, bearing fruit wherever God places you, and let faith be seen not just in words but in works.
