There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're with us today for Jesus the healer. And know that it is such a joy for me to be able to bring this word to you and to get to spend the time with you. I wish I could see every one of you. I wish I could see your face. I know that you see me, but I don't get to see you. And I just. I know that this Word is a blessing to you. So I'm. I'm just thrilled to be able to spend this time with you. And I say this. The Word, it takes our life and it sets it on course. Aren't you so thankful that every time we hear the Word, we can have course correction, we can have course clarity, we can have course direction. And we don't want to be off in any arena of our life. We don't want to be off course. We want to be right on course. And know this, that we can be on course with one arena of our life and be completely off course in another arena. So we're thankful to take this time and have course correction time, because the Word won't leave us like it found us? And you say, Pastor Nancy, I don't know that I need course correction. Well, I would say this. None of us are perfect. None of us have arrived at full perfection. So just know this. There's always more that we can advance in. There's always more that we can lay hold of. And so thank God for the Word that shows us what is available to us. We've been in this series called In Christ I Can, and it's such an important series because it is. It's pertinent to every single believer. It's to be part of our foundation because who we are in Christ is the foundation of our redemption. One of the greatest things that we recognize is Those in Christ that we have been made one with our Father. There's the success of life. That anything that we are, anything that redemption means to us, the first thing it means to us is we are one with the Father. He is one with us. Listen. This is what Jesus prayed before he left the earth. He said, father, that they may be one even as we are one. So know this. He delivered us at Calvary from sin. He delivered us from the power of sickness and disease. He delivered us from lack and poverty. He brought us into a place to where sin would no more have dominion over us or Lord it over us. But the highest thing that redemption brought us into was oneness with the Father. Thank God we're delivered from hell. We will not, we will never have to end up in hell. And that is something to rejoice about. I don't make light of that, but that the reason for that is because we are one with the Father. And when we recognize that we are to live this life mindful of that oneness, then we recognize that he is the One to do the work through us. He's one with us. Not so he can be inactive, but so he can manifest through us. He's one with us, and we are one with Him. And isn't this the most amazing thing? He's not ashamed to be one with us. It was his plan. It was all his wisdom, it was all his love flowing for us, through us and in us to say, I will be one with. I will walk in them and I will manifest through them. This oneness with the Father is one of the greatest things for us to establish in us. Because when we recognize that we are one with the Father, then we recognize, ah, he's the One working through me. It's not me doing the works, but he works through me. He directs my works, he empowers my works, but it's him working through me and manifesting through me. All I'm doing is I'm just yoked up with the One who's doing the work. And because of that, I move in obedience to Him. Well, we've been looking at Acts, chapter 17 in verse 28 in the last several episodes. It's so important for you to get hold of these truths that we've been teaching in these most recent episodes. I'd invite you go back. This is about. What would it be? Number eight. Number no, we anyway. Eight, nine. Somewhere around in there that we have been teaching on who we are in Christ based on Acts 17, verse 28. So if you've Missed any of those. Go back and watch them. Because we're just. We're just giving utterance to things that are just coming up by the Spirit of God in these episodes. And so Acts 17, verse 28. It's loaded. It says, in him we live, in him, we move, in him we have our being. Notice this. There's not. There's none of your life left out of that. And there's none of him left out of your life. Because he will be in every single facet, every single arena of our life. So just to touch real quickly, in him we live. What's this mean? He's the sustaining force of our daily life. He's the sustaining force of this eternal life that indwells us. When we got born again, the life of God came in us. Eternal life came in us. And so what is that that that made us, that made us citizens of heaven? Because we have divine life on the inside of us, then we are dismissed from ever having to just be limited to human life. We're not just drawing on the natural life, we're drawing on the life of God that's on the inside of us. And then it says, in him we live, in him we move. What is this? Faith is a movement. If we are. If we are yielding to the One who's on the inside of us, we're moving, we're producing, we're bearing fruit. We are working as he works through us. And so it's important that we recognize his movement. He directs. We're not just authoring our own movements in life, but we're following how he's leading us and directing us. And our movements come from his leading. Then it says, in him we have our being. So what is this? Our entire being requires Him. Spirit, soul and body. Our Spirit man. It requires him so that we now have the life of God in our spirit. We no longer have the old sin nature. We're new creatures in Christ that came about because of Him. For our spirit. Then what about for our soul? That our soul is made up of our mind, our will and our emotions. Know this, that we need God for our soul. We need to be taught God thoughts. We need to think as he would have us think. The Word is given to us. The Word is the thoughts of God. The Word is the wisdom of God. That for us to say that when we say in him we have our being, that means he is to be the. The One who authors the thoughts we carry. Because that part of our being is the soulish arena. Now know this. The devil can only work through wrong thinking. He cannot work through right thinking. That's why God restores our soul. That's why we're to renew our mind. That's why as as John said that our soul is to prosper. David called it the restoring of the soul. Paul called it the renewing of the mind. John called it the prospering of the soul. What are they saying? As we take on the thoughts of God, as we bring our thinking in line with God's word, then what happens? God is able to restore our soul. He can't restore our soul apart from us taking his word and making it our thoughts. And so know this. Your thoughts, your mind, your soul needs God. There's no such thing as holding to our own human thinking and think. We'll arrive at God's best. We have to have his way of thinking. Why is that? His way of thinking closes the door to the devil. His way of thinking opens the door to God. The way we think is going to either open the door to for what's right or for what's wrong to happen in our life. Many times people are suffering all kinds of difficulty in their life due to one thing wrong thinking. Think about Job. He was a man who was devout with God. He loved God. He honored God. He was a man who was prospering. He was a man whose life was on the increase. But he thought one wrong thought. And the wrong thought was he feared that his children would were in violation of God. So every day he would offer an offering to God out of fear, not out of faith. And so what did he do? He repeatedly brought that one wrong thought. That my children are in violation of God. My children are in violation of God. And because he took a spiritual act, but he did it from a place of fear, not a place of faith. That he was not expressing faith. Every time he acted, he was expressing fear. Why was he expressing fear? He thought wrong. He acted on that one fearful thought and that which he feared came upon him. Do you. I want you to know that when we take on the thoughts of God in it runs fear thoughts out. Too many times people pray and they think because they're doing a spiritual act of praying that they think that it's faith motivating it. Sometimes fear can motivate people's prayer lives. Sometimes fear can motivate the way people confess the Word. They're afraid that something is going to happen. So they start acting on that fear and they start confessing or praying based on fear, not based on faith. If we will have God for our being, God for our soul. It'll help us to recognize I'm not acting on fear because the one I act on is the one I'm opening the door to. If I act in fear, I just open the door to the devil. But if I act in faith, I just opened the door to God. Now, let me give you an example of what I'm talking about. Years ago, we had a secretary there at the ministry, a precious woman, an older woman. And one of our employees came to her as he was leaving. He was going home before the day ended. And he went to the secretary and he said, I don't feel well, so I'm going to go home. Just let you know, whoever needs to know that I'm going home because I have symptoms. Well, as soon as that person walked out, she thought to herself, oh, he's getting sick. I hope I don't get sick. Now what thought is that? Fear. Fear suggesting that she might get sick just because someone else got sick. I don't care what happens to someone else. They're not authoring your life. Don't look at someone else's life to determine what's going to happen to you. So this is the first thing she missed. So she did not recognize that as fear talking to her. What she thought was, I need healing. I need healing power to flow so I don't get sick. Well, that's wrong thinking. And so what did she do? She started confessing healing scriptures. And the next day she got sick and she was the one not at work. And she came back and she told me what happened. She said, pastor Nancy, she said, I recognized I was quoting healing scriptures because I believed the threat of fear that told me I was going to get sick. So she said, I see. What I should have done was rebuke fear that was talking to me, not quote healing scriptures. She said, by quoting healing scriptures, I was doing it in fear, not in faith. What was it? She recognized the wrong thing. She thought she would needed healing when she needed to resist fear that was talking to her so that she wouldn't think wrong. See, when she thought wrong, she acted wrong. What was the wrong act? She confessed, healing scriptures based on fear, that was the wrong act. Why was it? Because she thought wrong. So anytime you have to recognize rightly, because when she thought wrong and acted wrong, what did it do? It opened the door to sickness. I was listening to one precious minister. They were in the final stages of a very aggressive form of cancer. This was decades ago. And I was listening to the testimony because she had received her healing. And it was remarkable how God moved in her life to restore her. And she went on to live a very long life. But in listening to her testimony, she made this statement, because I was, I was about 22 at the time. I had just gotten saved, just been saved a short time when I was listening to her testimony. And here she was in the ministry, full time ministry, following the plan of God. But here she's diagnosed with a terminal condition, an accelerated form of it. And so she said in the, in the, in the course of giving her testimony, she said, I don't know why this came on me. And then she answered it. She didn't even know. She answered it with the very next phrase. She said, I don't know why this came on me because I prayed against cancer every day for 10 years. Well, why did you pray against it? Because the thought of fear that she would get cancer was suggested to her. And she prayed the fear, even though she thought she was praying the word, she was praying the fear. What's, what is it that is prompting you to say the words you're saying, think the thoughts you're thinking, take the actions you're taking. And even at the time of her testimony, after she had received healing, she never even recognized it was you speaking and acting on fear thoughts that you were going to get cancer. So listen for people to start taking action so they don't get sick. I don't eat right so I don't get sick. I eat right because I'm a good steward of the body. I'm not trying to stop something. I'm staying on the positive side that I'm honoring what God's given me. Amen. I don't rest at night or get proper sleep at night because I'm afraid my body will break down. I rest because God blesses his children with sweet sleep. You see, you have to stay on the positive side, not on the fearful side of something. And so she never recognized, even out of her own testimony, she never recognized that by her thinking that she would get sick, that that's why she started quoting healing scriptures and taking authority over something she didn't even have. Now, this is what you have to recognize. It helps you to recognize this if you think in these terms. Did she take authority over tuberculosis? Did she take authority over arthritis every day? Did she pray against leukemia every day? Did she pray against, you know, brain problems Every. No, she singled out something. When you single out something, know this fear is talking to you. Be careful what you're singling out. Because we don't need to get on the negative side of our confession. Stay on the positive side. I don't say what won't happen in my life. I say what will happen in my life. That's key. That's critical. I don't pray against sickness and disease. I say I'm kept by the power of God. See, I'm saying what I have. I don't say what I don't want. Because fear will suggest things. And you'll start. You'll start speaking in line with what fear says to you. Listen, in him we live, in him we move. And in him we have our being. Our soul needs to take our cues from Him. Our thinking is to come from Him. Our words are to come from Him. Our actions are to come from Him. And if they don't come from him, it's going to open the door to the devil. If we're thinking wrong thoughts, if we're thinking, I might lose my job, I might lose my house, you better catch that thought so that you don't pray in fear and open the door to the devil. And you say just because you're praying that that employs God. It's not prayer that employs God. It's faith that employs God. But it's fear that employs the devil. Even when it's spoken under the guise of prayer, you can pray a fearful prayer. And it's the guise of prayer, it's the form of prayer that. But if fear is motivating it, God's not involved in that. Why? Because God has no participation in fear. Fear doesn't come from Him. So if we're going to have a fellowship with God, it's based on faith, not based on fear. Amen. Don't say things. I'm afraid my children aren't going to fulfill the plan of God. I'm afraid my children are going to. Don't say that. Because you need him for your being. You need him for your soul. And God's not feeding you those words. You have to say what belongs to your children. What your children are in Him. Not what the fear is suggesting about your family. Suggesting you may lose your home. No, I won't lose my home. I'll never lose my home. Why? My God supplies all my needs. I'm resting on what God is in me, what he's doing for me and what he's already made mine. I don't have to get occupied with the threat. A soul that needs God is a soul that needs right thinking. We all need right thinking in Him. We have our being in our soul is part of our entire being. We are a spirit soul. We have a soul and we live in a body. We need him for every feature of our being. We are a threefold being and we need him for all of it. Without him, we. We don't even know how to think right. Without him, we don't even know what a right decision looks like. Without him, we don't know how to even have faith. Thoughts. He's required for the soul. This is one thing that I see in the body of Christ. The body of Christ needs skill with the soulish arena. If they don't. If they don't have skill with the soul, they go to lower forms trying to find relief and help. They'll go to psychology. Psychology is trying to fix man through the mind. You can't fix man through the mind. You have to fix man through the greater one in you, through your spirit. The thing with psychology is it keeps people focused on them. But if we are dealing with the man through the word, dealing with man through the spirit, then our focus is on God. There's your help. Amen. That's been my problem in my life when I was in view. Have you ever noticed that about your life? When all I am is preoccupied with me, preoccupied with my past, preoccupied with my feelings and my emotions and what someone did to me, that just holds me in view and that's my problem. I am in view. The fix for every man is God in view. The fix for every man is God in you that he has. You are one with him and he is one with you. You know, I understand people try to help us through these other methods, but they're faltering methods. They're not. They might. They might have temporary help, but they're not going to really hit the root of the problem. So know this. The Christian needs to have peace in any arena of your life to have peace so that you're not living under shame, guilt, condemnation, regret. You have to renew the mind. That's the only way. And that's not done through psychology. That's done through feeding the word into the spirit of man and bringing your thoughts in line with God's thoughts. Him for our being, him for our soul. Because know this, that whenever we thank the thoughts of God, the door is closed to the devil. He's done working what he used to work on us. That door is closed to him. To have peace. Come into the thoughts of God. Take the thoughts of the Word and refuse to allow your emotions to rule you. Refuse to allow your feelings to rule you. What's to rule you? The word of God. Listen, your feelings and your emotions are not your enemy unless you give them the wrong place. God gave you your emotions. They're to color your life. You're not a robot. You're going to feel something. I understand this. But they're not to take the lead. The Word is to take the lead. And then when you put the Word first in your life, then you refuse to allow your emotions and your feelings to unseat the Word. You refuse to allow your feelings and your emotions to take the lead. Your emotions and your feelings don't have the stuff to lead your life. But a renewed mind is the thoughts of God in your thinking. And then you're being led by the Word instead of being led by thoughts or by feelings and by emotions. How many times people have torn up their home because they let their emotions rule them? They let their feelings rule them. I'm really not so concerned about my feelings. I don't really care if my feelings get hurt. I want the word of God to lead me in the way I think. Because when I think right, no one else has permission to hurt me. They may offer me hurt, but I've resisted. I refuse to be hurt by others. Why is that? I'm not a robot. It's just I refuse to be offended. I refuse to get in unforgiveness. I refuse to take note of what wrong has done has been done to me. Why? Because I am being occupied with God who treated me right. And I'm not going to be occupied with someone who treated me wrong. If I'm going to listen, people think I've got to talk out my problems to get them out. That's not getting them out. That's letting them in. Because what you're focusing on is what's going in. You focus on the Word. Don't focus on getting something out. Focus on getting the Word in. And that will wash out what has been troubling, what has been a heartbreak, what has been a difficulty. I don't make light of difficulties and hard hardships people have faced. But you can't fix it doing the wrong thing. You don't fix the past by dwelling on it, by pouring it in. You fix it by doing the Word. Know this. It says in John, chapter 15, verse 3. I believe Jesus said, now you are clean through the Word I have spoken unto you. What's this mean? Pour in the Word. That cleans out the past, that cleans out hurt, that cleans out Wrong thoughts, wrong feelings. You're clean through the Word, spirit, soul and body. Every time we're feeding on the Word, we're thinking about the Word, then we're. We are, if I could say this, partaking of a divine cleansing agent. And that's what cleans out wrong thinking, wrong ways of operating, wrong wrong feelings. That's what overwhelms and washes them out. Amen. You don't. You don't get the wrong thing out by handling it. You get the wrong thing out by pouring in something greater. Amen. The more you think about it, the more you talk about it. I'm talking about troubling things. The bigger they become to you and the more. The more entrenched you get in that. But if you will just go to something higher. Go to the Word. Don't keep you in view. Go to a higher view, the view of God, the view of the Word, the view of who you are in Christ. Go to that mirror and quit looking at the old man. Quit looking at the hurts and the difficulties. Know this. In him we have our being. He is to be the view of our entire being, our spirit, our soul and our body. Amen. Well, we trust that these things are a help to you. Renew your mind. Feed on the Word. That is the greatest need in the life of every believer is to renew their minds with the Word of God and develop their spirits. Not develop their feelings, not develop their emotions, but develop their spirit. Ma'. Am. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this. Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Host: Nancy Dufresne
In this episode of "Jesus the Healer," Nancy Dufresne continues her longstanding series, "In Christ I Can," focusing on the believer’s oneness with the Father. She dives deeply into Acts 17:28—"in Him we live, and move, and have our being"—and unpacks how this foundational truth shapes our faith, thinking, and daily practice. Nancy emphasizes the necessity of renewing the mind, guarding against fear-based thinking, and allowing God’s Word to guide our thoughts, words, and actions.
Nancy closes by urging listeners to focus on the renewing of their minds and the development of their spirits over their emotions, reiterating that Jesus is the healer, and everything needed for victory is found in Christ.
