Kenneth Copeland
There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now from the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the Heater. Come on in. We're having a good time. You're getting to see our new studio. We did not redo our previous one. This is an additional one. So we have one, of course, in California. That was our first one, and we have one in Texas. So now we can go anywhere and film between those two places. So we're glad to have you with us today. We have been teaching on a series. If I could call it a series, and the title of it would be in Him. I can do it. And we want you to go back and watch any previous episode you might have missed because we can't restate everything. But it's just. I tell you, I've just been getting thrilled with this. You know, dad Hagin used to make this statement to us. He said it's when you get thrilled with the word that it works for you. Why? Because when you're thrilled with it, it's landing in you in a way that you can spend it and get results. And so we've just. We appreciate that you're here with us today, and we invite you get something to take notes on. We believe God is going to speak things to you, bring things clear to your heart, and we don't want you to miss those. We want you to capture that. So follow along with. And let's just dive in. I want to. I'm going to rehearse at every one of these episodes. I've been starting off with a story that really is the launching pad for this series. And that's when brother Kenneth Copeland was telling how years ago in the 1970s, that God spoke to him to sow a seed of $50,000 to Kenneth Hagin's ministry. Now, you think about it. In the 70s, $50,000 would have been, my goodness, like a quarter million easy, right? I mean, 50,000 is a lot today still. And Brother Copeland, that was at a time when they were still in debt. They were. The ministry was just beginning. And God said to him, I want you to give $50,000 to Brother Hagin. And the answer that Brother Copeland gave is this. He said, in him I have it, and in Him I can give it. It's amazing statement when he told that story, that just went off in me. So we've. And going building off of that story and just learning who we are in Christ and learning how to answer things, that when God commands us of something, it's not run to our resources and see if they give us permission to do it or not. We don't look to our resources for permission. We look, what did God say? And so when we learn to answer, in him, I'm healed in Him, I'm whole in Him, I can give that. In Him, I can pay that bill instead of worrying about where am I going to get the money from? Lay in bed and say, in him, I can pay that. You know, Kenneth Hagin, of course, was our spiritual father for decades. And he told the story when he was just learning the truths of prosperity that, you know, God spells out in his word. And he had bought a car because up till then, his cars were secondhand cars, they were used cars, and he had a traveling ministry. And so he. You can imagine that great mileage he would have put on his vehicles. And he had bought a car and they had fallen behind in their payments, and he had been on the road and he had gotten home, and his wife let him know, you know, they were behind on making the payments, and they were scheduled to come and repossess his car the next day. Now, tell me that's not going to try to go to bed with you at night, right? I mean, and he just said, you know, instead of going off to sleep, you know, he said when he'd try to go off to sleep, the devil would say, where you going to get that money? By tomorrow, they're going to come repossess your car. And he said, I'm just devil. I'm just going to act like the word's true. Do you know that's what faith is? It's acting like the word is true. Well, if we're staying up and worried at night, we're not acting like the word is true. And so when we remember who we are in Christ, we're acting like the word is true. And the very Next morning, early in the morning, his phone rang. And there was a woman that they knew of. And she said, brother Hagin, do you need a certain amount? And she called out a certain amount of money. And he said, that's exactly what I need. And he said, get it over here quick, sister. And so he was able to pay that off. Why? Because he acted like the Word is true. Act like you're in Christ. Look at that. Act like you're in Christ. Act like you're already healed. Act like you're already provided for. Act like you are developed in your spiritual life. Amen. Act like it. Because if you'll start acting like things, those things will start meeting that act. Faith is a movement. Faith is an act. Amen. So it's important that we act like we're in Him. Well, if we're going to act like we're in him, we're going to have to think in him. And so when Brother Copeland responded to God's command and he said, in him or in Christ, I can give it. Why in Christ I have it. That eliminates all struggle. It gets rid of worry. Can I tell you this? It makes life sweet when we remember who we are in him and we answer those things in him. And know this. The plan that God has for your life, you can't fulfill it. But in him you can. Why? Because he's going to fulfill it through you. Why did God command brother Copeland the $50,000 to give? Because he had the resources that he was trying to get to Brother Copeland. And so when he said yes, then that's all God needed to fulfill it. God never intended for Brother Copeland to come up with the money he intended to supply through him. Amen. We know this Jesus is the firstborn of a new race of man. And the Word tells us as Christians that we are new creatures in Christ. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. Look at this. New creatures in Christ. One translation says a new spirit that had never existed before. Jesus was that new species of being. That firstborn he lived, his life was a depiction of what the born again man can live. Amen. His life was an example of how every person in Christ can live. Amen. The way he lived and what his life produced was an example of in Christ living, of what we can do. And know this. God did in Christ what He wants to do for every person. So when we see Jesus the way he lived, that's what God wants for us. That he. That we had the exact same success that Jesus demonstrated. How can we do that in Him. We can't do it in Nancy, but we can do it in Him. Amen. So God, and let me state it again, God did in Christ what He wants to do for every person. He put into Christ everything He wanted us to have. Amen. So what's that mean? We have it. Why? Because we're in Him. Now just because things may not have developed, we might not have laid hold of things mean they don't belong to us, they still in Christ, it belongs to us. So when we see how Jesus lived, we see how every God filled man has the potential of living. Now let's not settle for less too many times. What we do is we look at others and how they're living and we think, well, I'm doing better than them. But they're not our measurement. Christ is our measurement. Amen. Now also, we don't have to labor to be in Christ. We don't have to labor to be who we are, but we are in Him. What we need to do is think like one in Him. We need to, as Brother Copeland answered, in Him, I can give it in Him, I have that. So when obstacles come up, say in Him, I can do that in Him. In Him I can succeed in this. When God says start a business in Him, I can do it because he said it to me. Now that's the key is what is he commanding you to do? You can't just randomly formulate your own plan. But you do listen to the plan he has for you in Christ. And then you demand and call upon yourself to stay in Christ in the moving forward with him in that plan. So don't lay in bed at night and worry about where's the money going to come from in Christ. You got it? That's right. Amen. Because you're fully supplied in Him. Now we at the new birth, we were born into Him. We didn't earn being in Christ just at the new birth, we became we're in Christ. Amen. The life of God is in us, recreated in Christ. Jesus is what the Word tells us. One of my favorite stories is when a preacher asked a Jewish businessman, this Jewish businessman was, he had several department stores in different locations and it was quite well off financially. And this preacher said, he asked the Jewish businessman, he said, how do you prosper? And the Jewish businessman just looked at him and said, I don't understand your question. And the preacher of course thought, that's a very simple, straightforward question, you know. And he goes, how do you prosper? And the Jewish businessman Said, I don't understand your question. He said, how did you. I mean, there are not a lot of ways to ask that, right? How did you get so prosperous? And the businessman looked at him and said, I'm a Jew. And then it dawned on the preacher. In the mind of the Jew. Jew being a Jew and prosper being prosperous, one and the same. They're the same thing. That's good. The preacher's mistake was separating them, saying, you're a Jew and you tried to become prosperous. But in the mind of the Jew, I didn't try to become prosperous. That's who I am because I'm a Jew. You're in Christ. So what's that mean? Success is yours. Prosperity is yours. Strength is yours. The life of God is yours. The love of God is yours. The faith of God is yours. Why? Because you're in Christ. In him is everything that God intended you to have. So what we have to do is stop trying to see ourselves. Well, I'm a Christian, and I'm trying to become the healed. I'm trying to become peaceful. I'm trying to become successful. No, we're not. We were born into those flows. That's the life of God at work within us. And that life is in Christ. We're in Christ. It's all the same flow. Amen. That would be like. If someone asked me, how did you become female? I don't understand your question. Seriously. If someone asked me, how did you become a female? I would say, I don't understand your question. I was born this way. I did not become what I was born as. The same thing in Christ. When you were born again, you were born into Christ. You don't have to become anything of what Christ is. That's who you are. All that's in him is in you. Now, where we miss it is we set that in our thinking as something separate. And we try to become that that's missing it. You don't realize who you are. So we do not have to labor to be who we are. We are in Him. Now. We need to think in those terms and answer in those terms. And when God requests or commands something of us, we answer in those terms. If you're asking me, if you're commanding me to do this, I can do it in Him. In Him. All the money must come because I'm in Him. All the health must come to fulfill that assignment because I'm in Him. All the strength must come because I'm in Him. All the resources must come. All the employees must come. If you told me to start a business, they must come. Because you did not give me a business that's not stocked. It's fully supplied. It's fully stocked with everything I'll need. Amen. Now, I want to read to you out of Colossians chapter 2 and verse 6. And this is the Amplified Classic translation. Colossians chapter 2, verse 6, the Amplified Classic translation. It says, as you have therefore received Christ, isn't that you? Yes, even Jesus the Lord. So walk, regulate your lives, and conduct yourselves in union with and conformity to Him. You're in union with Him. So he says, walk like one who has received Him. Conduct your life as one who has received Him. So notice this. You don't have to become that. Walk means employ that which you already have. You don't have to become that. You're employing that. You're utilizing that. You're drawing on that. You're responding to that. When you see the word walk in this kind of context, it's talking about your manner of daily life. That's what it's talking about. Your daily life should reflect that you have received him, that you are one with him, and that his ability is your ability. His life is your life. Amen. So he again, Paul writes, and he says, as you have therefore received Christ, even Jesus the Lord, so walk, regulate your lives and conduct yourselves in union and conformity to Him. What's that mean? Don't conform to the system of the world. Don't conform to how others do their business. God may tell you to do your business a whole different way. Let me just share a little bit about the home that God gave me. I have a couple homes because I'm in different locations. But I didn't just say I want a bunch of homes. God directed me, you know, and I do everything at his leading. And there is a home that God told me he was going to give me. It's the home of Amy Semple McPherson. It was her vacation home. Now, Amy Semple McPherson was an evangelist that was on the forefront in the early half of the 1900s. She was a very public figure. And God told me that he was going to give me her home. And he did. It's the first home I ever paid cash for. And that put me in the paid for flow. And I'm not coming out of that paid for flow. Can I talk to you a minute about a paid for flow? Remind me where I'm coming back to Sister Amy's house and of the, of the renovation. Okay. Remind me of that. I'M talking to my studio audience here. You see them, you hear them, I don't know if y' all can see them, but we don't have the room to show them all in this studio the same way. But you can hear them and I'm putting them to work here. And let me tell you about God said something to me when we hit that paid for flow. He said if you're going to live in a paid for flow, you have to function differently than you did before. That's right. And he said if you're going to live in a paid for flow, you have to forecast what's coming ahead in the plan of God and you have to get your faith on it now before you arrive at the need. So what's that mean? If you know you're called, let's say God has spoken to you that you're supposed to a student, you're supposed to go to a certain university, then get your faith on it now. Don't wait until tuition day when you're standing in the registrar's office and you need to pay your tuition. You won't live in a paid for flow if you're going to wait till the last minute to use your faith to live in a paid for flow. You have to get ahead of the need with your faith. You have to. That's why the Holy Ghost will show us things to come. Remember in the book of John says he will show us things to come. Why is that? So we can get our faith on things ahead of time. And so when you get your faith on it ahead of time, then when you arrive at that point of need, then your faith has already laid hold of that and you'll receive that in a way that doesn't put you in debt. And so that's what God said to me. He said to live in a paid for flow, you have to forecast what's ahead and you have to get your faith on it. Now. Meaning this. You can't just wake up one morning and say I'm going to do this unless God tells. Now there are times that God may move on you that quickly, but you can't just, you can't just, if I could say, get a great idea and then go out and say I'm going to do it today. And if you don't have the finances in place, you can put yourself in a different flow than you want to be in. So God told me you're going to have to live in a paid for flow. This is how you have to operate. You have to look ahead, get your faith on it. But I looked ahead, and when I got that home, I go, I didn't just buy a home, I bought a renovation. That home was built almost 100 years ago now, so it needs a renovation. And we're in the process of that now. So I thought. I thought now, see, I thought, you know, because why the system that you're around and you're in shows you a way of operating. I thought I need to streamline all my income, which is true. That's fine. You streamline it toward what? The plan, Right? Listen, God gives you money, it's for the plan. But I thought, I'm going to streamline all my money for the plan. That means I'm going to maybe pull it from this area, pull it from that area, not scatter out my resources as much. I'm going to streamline them. And I noticed when I started putting money aside for the renovation, God started talking about giving in a greater degree. And I'm going, you know, I'm streamlining, right? Like, I'm kind of like stockpiling. And there's nothing wrong with having reserves. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. And I'm trying to do that. But I notice God speaking more about giving more. And I'm talking about big amounts. Not like, you know, $20 here, $50 here. I'm talking like zeros on this thing, you know, behind the first number. And so I realized, my goodness, I'm giving half away. I'm trying to help God out by telling him I'm streamlining, you know. But he keeps talking to me about distributing, giving, sowing. Now, look, I'm saying that to show this. As you have therefore received Christ, walk, regulate your lives and conduct yourselves in union and conformity to Him. Not conformity to how you do a building project, not conformity to how you renovate a house. Conform to him, even in these kinds of projects. Yeah. So then I started sewing and I watched the numbers go down. But you know what? Numbers don't give me permission anyway, right? So after I started sewing, I watched something happen. Because when the contractor told me, nancy, it'll be this amount of money to renovate the home. And that's not even talking about the landscaping, the grounds, just this amount of money to renovate the home. I thought, well, then double it, because you've got to pay taxes. You know, I give my tithes, I give offerings, at least double it. And especially for taxes, it's going to double it. Right? And I recognize God's genius, that when he had me to sow what started happening. Tradesmen started stepping forward and said, I'll do the interior design. And then in the studio, I have a couple here that they're offering their trade to it. And I realized God was bringing the vendors. He wasn't just bringing money, he was bringing vendors. Why? Because when I use vendors, no taxes, baby. You don't pay taxes on vendors that sow their craft and their trade to you. So what is this? You move in conformity to him and it'll break the system that you thought you were going to be a part of. And I go the genius of God. Because when the contractor told me, nancy, it would be this amount of money that night, God spoke to me and said, it will not be that amount of money. Well, how will it not? Because I want it nice. You know, I don't want to cheapen it. I don't want to dumb it down, right? And God told me that night, it will not be that amount of money. Just because God used a different avenue doesn't mean he downsized. Doesn't mean he downscaled the quality. In fact, he gave me some people that are sowing their trade and their skill and their expertise that are. They're professionals in their field. And I'm just sitting back and watching and being impressed when I conform to him instead of conforming to what I thought. In Christ, you don't have to be at a lower flow. In Christ, you just stepped into heaven's flow. You just stepped into heaven's quality. Now, God said something to me recently. He said, I don't set your standard of living. You do. So you can live at any standard you want. But just know this. He offers you the standard of in Christ. Amen. Well, praise the Lord. So again, Colossians, chapter 2, verse 6. As you have therefore received Christ. Now see, that's what you need to say. I have received Him. I don't have to try to become something in Him. I am in Him. I am as you have therefore received Christ. Now it's up to us. Walk that way every day of our lives. We are to put a demand on the One who's in us, the One we are, the One that we are made to be in. Amen. So walk, regulate your lives and conduct yourselves in union and conformity to Him. Notice this. If he wouldn't say it, we have no business saying it. If he wouldn't think it, we have no business thinking it. If he wouldn't do it, we have no business doing it. Why? Because we're in union with Him. I'm not taking him to a place he wouldn't go. Amen. So we have to catch ourselves. We have to think as one in Christ then. Verse 7, Colossians 2, it says, have the roots of your being firmly and deeply planted in him, fixed and founded in him, being continually built up in Him. What's he talking about? Establish it in you. I'm in Christ. Don't establish the world system in you. Don't establish this is the way I was raised. This is all I'll ever have. I never this is the home I was raised. No, you have to establish in you that Christ offers you Himself. He fills you with Himself and He offers you his own standard to live by. He offers you his plan for your life, and he will fulfill that plan through you. Amen. So have the roots of your being firmly and deeply planted in Him. Why? Because when you're deeply planted, nothing can move you. There's going to be opposition that comes, but it can't move you because you're so deeply planted. I don't have to figure it out. I know that my supply is in Him. I don't have to figure out if I can have that building or not. God said I can in Him. I can have it. I can have that home. I can start that business. Amen. I can live healed. I can live pain free. I don't have to live the way I've been living because I'm in Him. Amen. Well, we invite you to go to our website because we have a free download for you of all the in him scriptures that tell you who you are in Him. You can download, download that. Go to our website@jesusthehealer.org and you can print that off. And you can spend time meditating on that, getting deeply rooted in that truth. Amen. And remember this until next time, Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Episode: 764 | In Christ I Can, Part 4
Release Date: June 5, 2025
Host: Nancy Dufresne, Dufresne Ministries
Description: This episode delves into the profound truths of living in Christ, emphasizing faith, healing, and the abundant life available to believers through their union with Jesus.
Nancy Dufresne opens the episode by acknowledging the support from Kenneth Copeland Ministries and introduces the ongoing series titled "In Him I Can." She emphasizes the importance of revisiting previous episodes to fully grasp the foundational truths being discussed.
[00:10] Nancy Dufresne: "We want you to capture that. So follow along with. And let's just dive in."
Nancy recounts a powerful story shared by Kenneth Copeland about a divine directive he received in the 1970s to sow a $50,000 seed into Kenneth Hagin's ministry. At a time when the ministry was in debt, Copeland's unwavering faith led him to respond,
[02:15] Kenneth Copeland: "In Him I have it, and in Him I can give it."
Nancy highlights the magnitude of this act, noting that $50,000 in the 1970s was equivalent to a quarter million dollars today. This story serves as a testament to the principle of trusting God over one's resources.
The episode transitions to the story of Kenneth Hagin facing car repossession due to missed payments. Instead of succumbing to fear, Hagin chose to act in faith, declaring his identity and authority in Christ.
[05:45] Nancy Dufresne: "Faith is acting like the word is true."
His declaration led to an immediate divine intervention where a benefactor provided the necessary funds overnight, illustrating the power of operating from an identity rooted in Christ rather than personal limitations.
Nancy delves deeper into the theological foundation of the series, referencing Colossians 2:6-7 to elucidate the believer’s identity in Christ. She explains that Christians are not striving to become healed, successful, or prosperous; rather, they are already endowed with these blessings through their union with Jesus.
[12:30] Nancy Dufresne: "We were born into Him. We didn't earn being in Christ just at the new birth, we became we're in Christ."
This section underscores the importance of recognizing and living out one's true identity in Christ, which naturally leads to manifestations of God's promises in their lives.
Nancy shares her personal experience of purchasing and renovating Amy Semple McPherson’s vacation home. She explains how her decision to sow generously, despite financial constraints, opened doors for divine provision beyond monetary means.
[20:50] Nancy Dufresne: "His life was a depiction of what the born-again man can live."
She introduces the concept of a "paid for flow," advocating for believers to forecast their needs and sow in advance, thereby positioning themselves to receive God's provision without falling into debt.
Emphasizing conformity to Christ, Nancy advises listeners to align every aspect of their lives—be it business, finances, or personal projects—with the principles and standards of Christ.
[24:10] Nancy Dufresne: "In Christ, you just stepped into heaven's flow. You just stepped into heaven's quality."
By doing so, believers break free from worldly limitations and tap into the divine flow that ensures success, prosperity, and fulfillment of God's plans.
Nancy reads and expounds upon Colossians 2:6-7, highlighting the call to walk in union and conformity with Christ. She explains that this walk is not about becoming something new but about utilizing what one already has in Christ.
[25:30] Nancy Dufresne: "Walk means employ that which you already have. You don't have to become that. You're employing that."
This passage serves as a foundational pillar for the episode, reinforcing the message that believers are equipped and empowered through their relationship with Jesus.
Nancy concludes by reiterating the main theme: as believers are deeply rooted in Christ, they can confidently claim victory over every obstacle. She encourages listeners to embrace their identity in Him, live out their faith proactively, and trust in God's promises for a prosperous and healed life.
[26:50] Nancy Dufresne: "We are to put a demand on the One who's in us, the One we are, the One that we are made to be in. Amen."
She invites listeners to access additional resources on their website and to continue growing in their understanding and application of these divine truths.
Kenneth Copeland:
