Thank you to Kenneth Copeland Ministries for sowing the airtime for this broadcast.
Kenneth Copeland
There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now from the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the Healer. Come on in and join us. We're having a good time. We're in the middle of a seat. And if I were to title it, it would be in Christ. I can do it. And we invite you. Go back and watch any previous episodes that you may have missed because it's such an important truth that we have to get established in us of who we are in Christ. Because if we miss on getting that right, we struggle unnecessarily. And God doesn't want us struggling. And he wants us to live as rich as we are. How rich are we in Him? That's how rich we are. And I love one preacher that he lives in another country. And some news media was trying to. They were investigating him, so to speak. And they were. They were gathering the numbers of how much this minister was worth. And they started listing all the millions of dollars. And it wasn't him personally, but his ministry. He had buildings. He had multiple buildings. And they started listing all of his wealth. And they said to him, you are worth such and such amount of money. And it was millions. And he said, and, you know, most people would be glad to think that there was that kind of success associated with him. And when they told him the number of millions they thought he was worth, he said, you insult me that you have diminished me down to millions. When I am worth who I am in him, all the riches of heaven are mine. And basically he said, you are insulting me to take me down to something natural that you can measure, because all the riches of Christ, all the riches of heaven are in us. And it's something that cannot be calculated. So if I could say this, don't live by the calculations of life that you, who you are in Christ is so much more than who you could ever be in yourself, who you could ever be as a businessman or a business owner or an entrepreneur, you are so much more in Christ. And don't diminish that by just looking and checking the natural arena for your success. In this series, we've been teaching on something that it was a statement that Kenneth Copeland made that was so, so rich. And I've been starting each one of these episodes in this series, telling this, because this is our starting place for this that we're teaching. And Brother Copeland was telling about. In the 1970s, God spoke to him and said, I want you to give $50,000. Sow that into Kenneth Hagin's ministry. And this was at a time, of course, Brother Copeland didn't have that. That's a lot of money today. It was so much more money in he himself was in debt. So when God told him to give $50,000, that's an impossible number to most people. But Kenneth Copeland recognized that when God told him to give what was an impossible amount, that he did. God did not intend that brother Copeland raise it, supply it, or fund it. He intended to use brother Copeland just as a vessel who said yes, so that God could send the supply through that vessel who said, yes. So I. And he ended up giving that amount. Over time, he was able to sow and sow little by little. And when he had Kenneth Hagin ministries, he had their office to check how much had he given. They said, well, you've given well over $50,000. And brother Copeland said, I know that amount did not come through my hands, but when I said yes, God brought his supply. And so I love the answer, though. And this is what we've been focusing on, the answer that Kenneth Copeland gave to the command. God said, I want you to sow $50,000. And brother Copeland said, in Christ, I have it, and in Christ, I can give it. Oh, that's skill. That's mastery. Because it's not about what you can calculate. It's about what do you know. What do you know about who you are in Christ and what you can do because you're in Christ. So when brother Copeland made that statement, in Christ, I have it, and in Christ, I can do it. See, in his own bank account, he didn't have it, but in Christ he had it. Why did he have it in Christ? Because God said it. Anything God says you have, you get that. Anything God says you have it, he just needs you to agree that you have it. When it doesn't look like in the natural, it shows it to you. When God has given you something, this natural realm might not show it, but it will catch up. This natural realm will catch up if you will believe that it's yours because God said it. Amen. So when Brother Copeland said, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it, I realized anything that we try to do outside of Christ is a failure. There's only success when we do it as one in Him. We have to remember we are in Him. You say, well, Pastor Nancy, what does that mean? That I'm in Him so I can do it. That means I'm not trying to fulfill it with my ability. I'm not trying to accomplish it with my own finances, with my own education in myself. I'm not trying to carry out what God says, but I'm leaning and drawing on the one in me. I'm responding to the one in me. So how do we respond to God? We obey Him. You know, many times people think that response is simply a feeling. Response is an action that we take. So how do we respond to God? When he prompts us to do something, we do it. He prompts us to give something, we give it. He prompts us to call someone, we call them. What is that? We obey. And the more we obey, the more we respond to God. What about this? Have you ever sensed the. You just sensed a longing or a desire to pray? That's the spirit of God leading you to go aside. You know, Smith Wigglesworth, who was an English preacher, he was on the forefront in the early half of the 1900s. And he was a man of the Word, he was a man of the Spirit. He knew how to follow the Holy Ghost. And one time, some Bible school students he was preaching to asked him a question. They said, how did you become so keen at following the Holy Spirit? He said, the moment he would prompt me to do something, I acted on it. He said, if I was led to, if I sensed prayer well up within me, that sense that leading to pray, he said, I'd go aside and pray. I didn't ignore the leadings. I obeyed. That's responding now. That's how we follow and operate as one in Christ. We respond to Him. And if we practice not responding, my goodness, if we practice overlooking, ignoring response, then at a time that he wants to help us, we won't be skillful at yielding to Him. If we practice the wrong thing, we get good at the wrong thing. If we'll practice obeying. The moment he says something, act on it. Now, know this. Sometimes he'll tell you to do something and it's not to be done right then. You hear him right then. But you know that there's a time that's going to be fulfilled. Obedience means you also follow when to do something. Because there are times he has spoken to me about things and I didn't just jump on it. I waited for the time as well. But in daily life, of something that belongs to you in Christ, you don't have to wait to lay hold of it's projects or assignments. He may give you that a time feature may be involved. But when something belongs to you in Christ, healing, prosperity, peace, joy, you don't have to wait for those things, for you to respond to those. Amen. But to draw on the greater one. Respond to the greater one. Now, to respond to him, we have to acknowledge him. Now. That's key. We have to turn toward Him. We have to. If I could say this. Put up. Dad Hagin used to say it this way. Put up your spiritual antenna. What's that mean? Keep an ear turned toward him of what he might say to you throughout the day. God said to me sometime back, he said, living in My presence does not come by earning, it comes by turning. Now what did he mean? I knew exactly what he meant. He meant you don't have to pray long enough. Read your Bible long enough, do good works long enough to qualify for My presence by because he's already in us. When we say we're going to get in the presence of God, technically we're always in the presence of God. But in experience, we're not always in the presence of God. Meaning we're not always acknowledging him, we're not always turned toward Him. Now, if you'll practice turning toward him, then you'll recognize what he's saying to you so you'll be able to obey and therefore draw on Christ in you. So to live as one in Christ, that means turn your attention toward him throughout the day. That means be listening for what he may say to you. That means respond to what he tells you to do. How do you respond? You obey. Amen. So the more we obey throughout our daily life and know this, he will train us to operate as one in him. In daily affairs of life. He won't wait till a miracle is needed to train you. He will train you on the everyday things of life. Meaning this. When you sit down, for example, to pay your bills, and there's more bills than income, if that's ever happened to you, you sit down, practice paying those bills in Christ. What's that mean Jesus in you? I have more than enough. I'll always have more than enough. I'll never worry. I'll never be overwhelmed about these numbers I see or the numbers I don't see. So you start talking it as you do your everyday things. And then you learn to bring him in on it. It will change the way you think. And when you think right, then the door is open for him to move. Listen. Wrong thinking closes the door to heaven. It's right thinking that God works through. God can't work through wrong thinking. That's why the devil wants us thinking wrong. He wants us thinking that anything we hear from God we have to accomplish on our own. That's why the devil always tries to get you to turn back towards yourself. Because he knows in you, in your own ability, there's not enough. And what God says will always be impossible to you. But if you'll draw on in Christ, you'll realize all things that God says are completely possible. Because he's the one who intends to do it through us. Amen. So we have to learn to draw on in Christ to draw on him who is in us to live as one in Christ. We obey Him. We turn our attention toward him in fellowship. We keep an ear toward him all day long, not just during devotional time. You know, if somebody starts out their day spending time with the Lord, whether feeding on the Word, whether they're praying in fellowship with God. God never intended for you to start that way and then turn the rest of the day over to your flesh, turn the rest of the day over to your mind. He intends for us to start that day so that that will govern the way we operate that day. We bring him into everything. We live as one in. We don't just have devotional time as one in Christ. We live as one in Christ. We bring him into everything. So mamas, when you're diapering little babies and you got several little babies around you, they're not there and able to pull you out of Christ. You have to do those daily things and realize, bring him into everything you do. How do you do that? Through your attention. By acknowledging Him. And as you acknowledge him, you'll hear Him. And when you hear him, he will give you something to obey. Why? Because he wants to manifest through you. So anyway, praise the Lord. Obey, obey, obey what you what he leads you to do. Because that's what one in Christ, that's when we'll experience success. Amen. Remember, Jesus said to me, he said, I have never failed and he said, so I share my success with you. So how does he share our success with? His success with us is. He speaks to us and gives us something to obey. And we fulfill that as one in Christ, drawing on his ability, his divine help. Now we are new creatures in Christ. The Word tells us that when we're born again, we become a new creature in Christ. Behold, all old things are passed away. All things have become new. One translation says, we are a new species of being that never existed before. When you're born again, this. This one never existed before in your life. You are something new that never existed before. In all the years you might have been alive before you were born again, this had never existed till you got born again. Amen. This is in Christ man. This God filled man. This God filled person. You had never. You're a new species now. Jesus was the firstborn. The Word calls him the firstborn. So as the firstborn, he is showing us a new race of man. And we are now in that race. We are one of that race of man. We're not a race of a color. We're a race born of God. He was born of God. He was born again. And he came out of hell. He was born again. Amen. And he lived this life on the earth as a God filled man. As an example to show us that once we're born again, we're God filled and we can live the exact same way he lived when he was on the earth. Why he was a God filled man. We're a God filled man. Amen. Don't get tripped up. Me calling myself a man because I'm saying mankind. When the Word talks about man, it's talking about mankind. It's not talking about gender. So don't get tripped up over that, that I am a man in Christ. Just like God calls us all the bride of Christ, he calls a man, a male is a bride in Christ. It's not these terminologies, naturally, that are to trip us up. But when the Word says I'm a new man in Christ, he's talking about mankind. Amen. So when we see how Jesus lived, he's showing us how every man can live and what God authored for every man to live. God did not author a way of life for Jesus that you can't participate in. God authored a life in Jesus to show us an example of what he authored for every man. Now how can we live that life one way in Christ. In Christ. So God did in Christ what He wants to do in every person now. Think of that God did in every Christ, in every man, what he did in Christ, what He wants to do in every person. What's that mean? He put into Christ everything He wanted for us. Think of that. That if Jesus could have it, we can have it. Why? Because he's our big brother. And what the big brother gets, the little brother gets. Amen. So God put into Christ everything He wanted us to have. And Jesus was a God filled man. We are God filled. Amen. We don't have to labor to be who we are. We're in Him. We're to just live on that. Now, I want to read in previous episodes we read this, but I want to read it again. Colossians, chapter two. And we're going to start with verse. Let's start with verse six. I'm going to read out of the Amplified Classic translation. Paul is writing and he says this. As you have therefore received Christ, even Jesus the Lord, so walk, regulate your lives and conduct yourselves in union with and conformity to Him. What's that mean? In Him. So as one in Christ, live that way, be conformed to that. Verse 7, it says, have the roots of your being firmly and deeply planted in him, fixed and founded in Him. Be continually built up in Him. Do you see the phrase? In Him, in him, in Him. So he's telling us it's up to us to establish this truth in us so that we respond in our thought life. We respond in our actions, we respond in our words as one in Christ. We have to build this truth in us. We are in Him. But we have to meditate on these things, speak of these things, to establish them in us so that we can live that way. Now, I want to read to you out of the living Bible, the translation starting with Colossians, chapter 2, verse 6, the Living Bible. And it reads this. And now, just as you have trusted Christ to save, you, trust him too. For each day's problems, live in vital union with Him. Now, that's what I was talking about earlier. In fellowship with God, that you acknowledge him, you give him your attention, because everything else wants your attention. And you have to learn to bring your attention in on where your help flows from. That's right. Now, verse seven says, let your roots grow deep into him and draw up nourishment from Him. So God never intended you to live this life apart from Christ. See that you go on growing in the Lord and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow. Look at this. With joy and thanksgiving for all he has done. Now notice what the one who's living in Christ is going to have a flow of joy in thanksgiving if we're not live. If we're not enjoying Thanksgiving, we're not living as one in Him. Even though he's in us, we're not letting Him. We're not depending on him. Because when we're drawing on him, it can't help but arrive us at success. We're going to be in joy and we're going to be in thanksgiving. Amen. Now, verse eight says this. Don't let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies. What's that mean? Others are going to live out of their mind. But we're not living based on what our mind tells us. We're living based on who we are in Christ. Don't come down to a flow that's going to cheat you by the philosophies of men. What's that mean, by what men can figure out? It says they're wrong and shallow. Answers built on men's thoughts and ideas instead of on what Christ has said. Verse 9, it says, for in Christ there is all of God. In a human body, so that you have everything. When you have Christ, you have it all. There's nothing you need in this life that's not already in you. Why? Because he's in you. And every supply you need flows out of the greater one in you. So it's up to us to respond to that, to draw on that. So again, verse 10 says, so you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. What's that mean? You're done being pushed around. The devil can't push you around. The devil can't make you. The devil can't dominate. The devil can't hold you in addiction. The devil can't hold you in bombardment. The devil can't hold you in perversion. He can't hold you in anything that tries to diminish you because you're in Christ. Live as one in Christ. Amen. Now that life, the life of God, the ability of God is to flow out and dominate our thoughts, dominate our flesh. Instead of our minds dominating us and our flesh dominating us and keeping our spirit pushed down. So we have to draw out of our spirit. Because when we talk about drawing, responding to. To Christ who's in us, it's responding out of our spirits, not out of our minds, not out of our flesh. Well, there's another direction I wanted to go, but I don't have time today. You're going to have to make sure to join us for the next episode because we're headed to something I wanted to focus on today. When I got up this morning, God started showing me and talking me a little bit more about this. And so in the next episode, we're going to dive into it further. But I'm going to give you homework. How about that? Do you know it's not what we do in church that's going to make us a success, make us a success in daily life. It's what we do at home. It's what we do outside the church building. So what? As a pastor, I would give our congregation homework. And I would say, I'm going to give you something to work on at home. Well, I'm going to give you something to work on. Can I. I'm going to invite you to go to our website, jesusthehealer.org and you can download. And this is what we call in him scriptures. If you print it off, this is exactly what it's going to look like for you. And we have all these scriptures printed out for you, and we want you to meditate on these. What are these scriptures? They tell you who you are in Him. They use the terms in him, in whom? Through him, by Him. When you see that terminology that's going to reveal and unveil who you are in him and who he is in you. When you understand that, you're done living a common life, you're done struggling in life, you're done living the way you used to live. Listen, you get this in you. It will transform your life. You're born again. But our lives need transforming. We are to present our bodies to God. Then verse two tells us what to do with our minds. It says, be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Listen, he's talking to people that are born again there. And he says, you still need transforming, although now you're born again. Your mind needs transforming. And how do you do that? You feed the word into it. So we invite you, go to our website, jesustheheater.org and you can find these downloads. And this one is titled In Him. It's a complete listing. There's about 130, 140 Scriptures that we have available to you. You start meditating. Those start, you say, how do I meditate them? Speak them to yourself, feed on them, mutter it to yourself. And just as you're doing duties throughout the day, and cleaning your house or whatever. Just start feeding on these, speaking these to yourselves and it will build an awareness in you of who you are in Him. Amen. And so we invite you if you missed any previous episodes, go back and watch it. But don't miss upcoming episodes because we're going to continue this direction. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode: 767 | *In Christ I Can, Part 7
Release Date: June 10, 2025
Host/Author: Dufresne Ministries
Description: Nancy Dufresne’s teaching ministry emphasizes faith, healing, renewing the mind, following the Holy Spirit, and understanding what belongs to us in Christ.
In Episode 767 of Jesus the Healer, titled In Christ I Can, Part 7, Nancy Dufresne delves deep into the profound truth of our identity and authority in Christ. She emphasizes the importance of recognizing our position in Christ to experience true success and fulfillment in every aspect of life.
Nancy begins by highlighting the significance of understanding who we are in Christ. She underscores that our richness and success are not measured by worldly standards but by our position in Him.
Nancy Dufresne [02:00]: “Who you are in Christ is so much more than who you could ever be in yourself... you are so much more in Christ.”
Nancy shares an inspiring story about Kenneth Copeland, illustrating God’s ability to provide beyond natural means when we align our faith with His promises.
Nancy Dufresne [03:15]: “In Christ, I have it, and in Christ, I can give it.”
Kenneth Copeland was instructed by God to sow $50,000 into Kenneth Hagin's ministry during a time when such an amount seemed impossible. Copeland’s obedience and faith resulted in the miraculous provision of the requested funds, demonstrating that God's supply surpasses our natural limitations.
Nancy emphasizes that responding to God is an act of obedience rather than merely an emotional reaction. She encourages believers to act promptly on God’s prompts to cultivate a responsive and obedient heart.
Nancy Dufresne [10:45]: “When he prompts us to do something, we do it. He prompts us to give something, we give it.”
To illustrate effective obedience, Nancy references the renowned preacher Smith Wigglesworth. He exemplified unwavering obedience by acting immediately on the Holy Spirit’s promptings, which Nancy encourages listeners to emulate.
Nancy Dufresne [12:30]: “I acted on it. I didn’t ignore the leadings. I obeyed.”
Nancy discusses the importance of integrating obedience into daily routines. Whether managing finances or handling household duties, bringing Christ into every action transforms ordinary tasks into acts of faith.
Nancy Dufresne [16:50]: “When you sit down, for example, to pay your bills... I'll always have more than enough.”
A significant portion of the episode is dedicated to expounding on Colossians 2:6-10, where Nancy unpacks the Apostle Paul's instructions on living in union with Christ.
Nancy Dufresne [18:00]: “As one in Christ, live that way, be conformed to that.”
She emphasizes that believers must root themselves deeply in Christ, allowing His presence to guide their thoughts, actions, and overall conduct.
Nancy introduces the concept of believers being a "new species" in Christ. Drawing parallels to Jesus as the firstborn, she explains that Christians are part of a new race authored by God, empowered to live as He lived.
Nancy Dufresne [21:15]: “When you're born again, you become a new creature in Christ. All old things are passed away. All things have become new.”
Building on the idea of a new creation, Nancy stresses the necessity of mind renewal. She encourages listeners to replace worldly thoughts with truths from the Word, ensuring that their lives reflect their identity in Christ.
Nancy Dufresne [23:45]: “Wrong thinking closes the door to heaven. It's right thinking that God works through.”
Towards the conclusion, Nancy assigns practical homework for listeners. She invites them to visit jesusthehealer.org to download a collection of scriptures titled In Him. By meditating on these verses, believers can internalize their identity in Christ and reinforce their faith.
Nancy Dufresne [25:00]: “Start meditating, speaking these to yourselves... it will build an awareness in you of who you are in Him.”
Nancy wraps up the episode by reiterating the importance of living as one in Christ. She encourages continuous fellowship with God, obedience to His prompts, and integrating His presence into every facet of life to experience true success and divine manifestation.
Nancy Dufresne [26:00]: “Obey, obey, obey what he leads you to do. Because that's when we'll experience success.”
Nancy encourages listeners to visit jesusthehealer.org to access downloadable scriptures that focus on living "In Him." These resources are designed to help believers meditate on and internalize their spiritual identity, fostering a life aligned with God's will.
By understanding and applying these principles, listeners are empowered to live victoriously, fully utilizing the authority and resources available through their union with Christ. Nancy Dufresne's teachings in this episode serve as a comprehensive guide for anyone seeking to deepen their faith and experience the transformative power of being "In Christ."
