There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome today to Jesus the Heater. We're so glad you're joining us today. It's such a thrill to spend this time with you feeding on the Word together. You know, the Word takes our life and it sets it on course. And we honor the Word. Don't you? You honor the Word? Because I've learned this. Only the part of the Word you honor is the part that will work for you. We have to honor all of the Word. When we honor the healing word, it'll work for us. When we honor the prosperity word, it'll work for us. When we honor the faith word, it'll work for us. Every part of the Word that we honor, we will go to operation in our lives. So we love the Word, we honor the Word, and we're so glad you're joining us today for feeding on it because we love spending the time with people who honor what we honor. Amen. We have been on a series, and if I were to title it, I would have to call it In Christ. We can do it. Amen. Amen. And so we've been talking about what it means to be in Christ. And if I could say this just at the very beginning, this is such a central, important truth that we have to be well established in. If we don't get hold of this truth in our understanding and in the way we operate, in the way we talk, in the way we think, in the way we respond, we'll struggle in life unnecessarily. And anytime we employ the Word, that that much we have left. Struggle. I don't know about you, but I'm done with struggling. The end of struggle in our life. Why? Because we're in Christ. In Christ, there is no struggle. And I always. In this series, I talk about the time I heard Brother Copeland tell the story. This is our Jumping off point, so to speak. And Brother Copeland was telling how in the 1970s, God spoke to him and said, I want you to give $50,000 to Kenneth Hagin Ministries. Now, when God said that Brother Copeland had debt, he was younger in ministry. He was just learning some of the truths that he's taught us for decades. But that's a big direction to receive. That's a big instruction, you know, and he agreed to that. He gave toward that, and that word was fulfilled. But I wanted to focus on the answer that Brother Copeland gave God when God said that to him. When God said, I want you to give $50,000, he knew in his own bank account he didn't have that. He knew in his own resources he didn't have that. But listen to his answer. His answer was, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it huge. When he said that, I just. That that opened up an entire window for me into another room of revelation. So clearly, ah, we're called to do everything in Christ, not apart from him, but because he's in us and working through us. So this is what we've been focusing on in this series. Go back and watch previous episodes that you may have missed. Because everything God tells us to do can only be accomplished one way in Christ. Anything we try to do apart from Christ will end up failing because something that came out of God requires God. Does that make sense? If he tells us to do something, it can only be fulfilled because he gets involved. And if we leave him out of the equation, it cannot be fulfilled. So we approach everything with, I'm in Christ. And because I'm in Christ and he's in me, he's working through me. Remember, Jesus made the statement in the performing of all the miracles, the dead being raised, the lepers cleansed, blind eyes healed. And Jesus made this statement. He said, the Father in Me, he does the works. That's the same thing that we're to say. I'm in Christ, he's doing the work through me. Amen. So all he needs is for us to say yes and agree with him so he can manifest through us. That's what in Christ means, that we are letting him flow through us. What's that mean? We have to respond to Him. We have to yield to Him. How do we respond to Him? We obey Him. We obey his word, what he tells us to do. The more we respond to him through our obedience, the more he can manifest and show up. Amen. So that's what we do. Now, the vision that God has given you for your life can only be fulfilled as you employ Him. Right. God never intended to give you a vision that you had to fulfill without Him. It can only be fulfilled because you're responding to and you're drawing on him who's working through you. So learn to let this response be your response. Which Brother Copeland had in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it, or in Christ I can do it. In Christ I can fulfill it. Amen. Now, we have been reading, and I want to go back and read out of these verses. This is Colossians 2:6. But I'm going to read to you out of the living Bible. It reads this way. And now, just as you trusted Christ to save, you trust him too. For each day's problems, live in vital union with Him. What's that mean? Fellowship with him throughout the day. He's already in you. You're one with him now. Require his fellowship for your vital need. Amen. That's our vital need. Money's not your great need. He's our great need to live in fellowship with Him. Now, our relationship with God is certain. He's our Father and we're his children. That's the relationship. Just like with a husband and wife. When they get married, you have a husband, you have a wife. That's the relationship. That is not the fellowship. The fellowship, the relationship never doesn't change. You wake up one morning, you're married. Wake up next morning, you're married. That's relationship, right? You wake up, you're a daughter to a parent. They're your parent. You're the daughter, you're the son. That relationship, it's consistent, it stays in place. But fellowship can vary. And so you can be in relationship with God, but your fellowship can diminish or your fellowship can increase. So this is what it's talking about. Live in vital union with Him. In other words, make your fellowship first and foremost with God. It's not enough to be in relationship with Him. You need to be in fellowship with Him. Now, people, once they get married, husband, a man and woman, they get married, they become husband and wife. Do you know that although they're in that relationship, they can go their whole married life and not really enjoy the fellowship of each other? There are a lot of people. That's why some marriages end in divorce. They quit enjoying the fellowship of one another. That's one of the primary reasons. Well, even so, you can be born again and never really enjoy the fellowship with your father. What about this enjoying the fellowship of other members of the body of Christ, it's up to us to partake of the fellowship. So when it says here in the living Bible, Colossians, chapter six, verse two. And now, just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him too. For every day's problems, live in vital union with Him. That means have a thriving, hot fellowship with Him. How do we do that? We turn our attention to Him. We acknowledge him all throughout the day. We talk to Him. We rely on Him. We depend on Him. And when you're faced with an opposition, when you're faced with a problem, just say, I'm not facing this alone. I'm facing this with Christ. And he's the one that puts me over. That's what you have to talk. That's what you have to remember. That is living in vital union with Him. You're talking about his role in you. Instead of just talking about your role, talk about his role as one being in you and you being in Him. Now, verse seven says, let your roots grow down into him and draw nourishment from Him. What's that mean? You have to build this truth in you. You have to establish it in your thought life, establish it in your words, establish it in the way you respond to situations, build it in you so that it becomes such a part of you. You know, whenever you start something new, it may take a lot of effort on your part to establish the patterns of that in your life. But once you establish those, everything becomes an easy flow. Amen. And then it feels odd not to respond that way. So at first it might seem that you have to employ some real effort to remind yourself, wait a minute, I'm in Christ. Wait a minute. It's him working in me. And you have to remind yourself. But there comes a day when that's your automatic response. Now, that's when your roots are growing down into Him. That's. That's when you're drawing up nourishment from Him. What is that? The Word is taking root in you. Amen. And now let's go down to verse nine. It says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body, so you have everything. When you have Christ, look at that, you have everything. You're not out trying to lay hold of something that he's already made yours. By faith, you say, it's already mine. By faith, I am the healed. By faith I have wisdom. By faith, I'm free from fear. By faith, I'm free from worry. By faith, I'm free from addiction. Why? Because Christ doesn't have those issues and neither do I. I'm in Christ. Christ is in me. He's not struggling with them. I'm not struggling with them. I'm not trying to become in Christ. I am in Christ. And because I'm in Christ, all these things that try to trouble me must be dominated. They must be removed. They must be overcome. Amen. Because I do, I walk as one in Christ. I think as one in Christ. I speak as one in Christ, I respond as one in Christ. Now, before you have a certain conversation, ask yourself, would Christ have this? Because you have to make this not just part of your victory so that you enjoy good things, but also part of how you govern yourself. Amen. So there's a responsibility with this. There's not just the privilege or the benefits of being filled with Christ. There's also the responsibility of responding as one in Christ. Now verse 9 again says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body, so you have everything. When you have Christ, you have it. So since you have it, you don't have to become it. Act as though you already have it. Amen. That's called walking by faith. When you act like you already have it, it will begin to manifest because it's dawning on you. Wait a minute. In Christ, I have it. I don't have to get it. I'm not trying to get healed. I'm already the healed. I'm not trying to get prosperity. I'm already the prosperous. Now I'm going to act that way. So you have everything when you have Christ. Verse 9, verse 10. And you are filled with go through your union with Christ. He is the highest ruler, with authority over every other power. Now, what God had began talking to me about was many never enjoy that they are in Christ. They struggle, they don't rest and recline themselves on this wonderful truth that I am in him. And they rest on him to do the work of through them. They're trying to do the work apart from Him. But what a joy to know. Wait a minute. He does the work. Can I tell you, this might be a poor example, but it's one that really speaks to me and that is at dinner time when I know somebody else is doing the cooking and they're bringing it, I rest. Why I enjoy that. I'm not the one having to do all that and struggle to do that. Because they're already cooked. They've already cooked it. They're bringing it and I'm just going to partake. That's what in Christ means. He's already paid the price. He's already done everything. I don't have to do anything but rest and recline and allow him to work through me. I do have the part of faith and I do have the part of obedience. And if I will bring my faith and bring my obedience, then Christ can come into manifestation. In my situations now, if I don't use my faith and I don't obey what he says, then he cannot manifest through me although he wants to and although he's in there to manifest. So many times, we are so aware of what we're not, that we're trying to become better. We're trying to do better. And we miss. We are already better because we're in Christ now. Act like that, respond in the face of need, like that and the joy of being in him. When we're trying to do better, when we're trying to achieve something spiritually, maybe we're trying to be healed, we're trying to be prosperous. What that does, that robs us of the awareness of who is in us. We are to be aware every single day. Wait a minute. He's in me. The heater's in me. Can I tell you this? Every Christian who died prematurely died with healing in them. That's not to accuse them or condemn them. It's just that many times people don't remember that anyone who failed financially, there was provision in them all along. Now, that could have been us in the past. Sometimes we did it wrong, but we're learning. That's the key is don't just stay in that flow that's beneath us. Come into the understanding of who he made you to be and who you are in him, who he is in you. You're one with Him. Draw on him to put you over. We forget when we're trying to become something or we're trying to measure what we're not, or we get down on ourself because the accuser of the brethren will always accuse you of what you're not. When we believe that, we forget what it means to be in Christ. We forget what it means to be in him. And we lay down the joy of our place in Him. Now, when God. Several years ago, I was at home one night and God said to me, a warrior is coming home. I've never heard that term or used that term in connection with anyone, but I knew that God was speaking to me, that someone was going to be leaving earth, going to heaven. He didn't tell me who it was. But two days later, I received Word that someone close to me had just died unexpectedly. And I realized that's what God was trying to forewarn me about. And in that, when God said to me a couple days earlier, he said, a warrior is coming home. When he said that, immediately I sensed the pleasure of God with how this person had lived their life in God. And I don't know how to describe it other than the great pleasure of God filled those words whenever he said, a warrior is coming home. There was such pleasure that God had in them, and I was allowed to sense his pleasure in them. My, my, my drove home to me what it means that God joys in us. And I thought about this later. The last several years of that person, that person's life on earth, they had great opposition. They struggled with some things. And I thought how sad that the devil was able to rob them of the joy God had in them and how they had lived their life. If we're not careful, especially as people age and they grow older and they're in the natural, maybe they think, well, I can't do this anymore and I can't do that anymore. And they start becoming more downcast. They become sadder at the end of their life. What's happening? The devil is being allowed to rob them of the joy of their life, of obedience to God. Instead of these saying, wait a minute, I'm in harvest years, and I'm enjoying in these years all the time that I've served God and God has manifested for me, I'm going to enjoy that. I'm going to enjoy him. But what the devil does, he wants to rob us of the joy of who we are in him. We don't have joy in him because we've done it all right. We have joy in him because he put us in that place of oneness with him. And there is a joy just by virtue of that position, that I'm in him. I'm in him. Amen. And I need to grab hold of the joy of what that means. Because I thought how I wished that that person that went home to be with the Lord would have experienced in their last days what God allowed me to taste God's pleasure in them. But the devil was robbing them through opposition, of recognizing God's pleasure in them. And so we must remember something. Heaven sowed a seed called Jesus so that heaven could have a harvest. We are the harvest of God. And what. What farmer doesn't have joy over his harvest? Right. Our Father rejoices over us because we are his harvest on the seed he sowed called Jesus. Now think of that. He doesn't have joy over us just because we behave, just because we do everything right, but just because we belong to Him. He has joy over us because we are his harvest. That Jesus died to bring many sons to glory. And so we have to remember this. God rejoices over us, loves us apart from actions, apart from behavior, but just because of who we are in Him. Think of it. A young couple brings home a baby for the first time. They have such joy in a baby who's never brought one supply to that family. That baby hadn't done a day's work. That baby hasn't earned any money. That baby hasn't cleaned the house yet. That baby hasn't done anything that would win them a trophy. That baby hasn't done anything but suck air. Right? And that parent has great joy over a child who has not performed. God doesn't love us and have joy in us simply because we perform, but because we're His. Get that on the inside of you. God loves me not just because I earn his love. We don't have to earn it. He loves me because of who I am to him, not because of what I've done for Him. It's huge. Get this. Who you are in him matters more than what you've done for Him. Now he wants you to obey Him. Don't misunderstand me, but he loved you before you did anything for Him. He rejoiced over you before you did anything worth worth rewarding. He loves us. Let's just rest and recline on. I'm his harvest and he has joy over his harvest. Amen. We must remember we are to live joyous because we're in Him. Just because of that, we should have joy, not because we have achieve something spiritually. Now don't misunderstand me. We should have works of righteousness. We should bear the fruits of righteousness. But it's not that that just causes God to joy and rejoice. It's because we're His. Amen. We're his harvest. You are God's harvest. If you're born again, you are God's harvest. On the most precious seed he sowed, which is Jesus. Amen. God sees us in Christ. He doesn't look at us in us, he looks at us in Christ. He doesn't see all the flaws. He doesn't see all the shortcomings. He doesn't see all the faults and the failures because the blood of Jesus cleansed that away. And he sees us in Him. Amen. God sees us as he made us to be. He doesn't see us as we see ourselves because we look at ourselves and go, oh, I'm not this or I'm not that. And the accuser of the brethren will certainly chime in on that. But he sees us in Christ. Now, before we close today, I want to just read a couple verses to you. Let's go to Isaiah, chapter 62 and verse 5. It says this. As the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. Know this. He rejoices over you. Why? Because you belong to him. Not because you performed for him, not because you did everything right, but because you belong to Him. Amen. Zephaniah. You ever go to Zephaniah and read that? Zephaniah, chapter three, verse 17. And this is the Amplified Classic translation. It reads, the Lord, your God is in the midst of you, a mighty one, a Savior who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will rest in silent satisfaction, and in his love he will be silent and make no mention of your past sins or even recall them. He will exalt over you with singing. See, we talk about. We talk about our faults and failures, and he's singing over us. Why? Because our faults and failures don't live with him. The blood of Jesus cleansed those. So we need to quit talking and being mindful of and recalling and rehearsing where we missed it and what we've done wrong and just realize he rejoices over me not because I failed, but in spite of what I've done. Amen. And then Philippians, chapter three, verse one, the Amplified Classic. Listen to this. Paul writes, and he says, for the rest, my brethren, delight yourselves in the Lord and continue to rejoice that you are in Him. How many obey this? How many get up in the morning, say, father, I rejoice for one thing. I'm in you, and you are in me. I'm in Christ. Christ is in me. If we will rejoice over that, we'll stop talking about what we haven't done right. We'll stop being pushed down by condemnation, by guilt, by the past, by trying to be something or trying to perform something so God will be pleased. God rejoices over us because we belong to him, regardless of performance. Amen. I don't perform to win his affection. Because he loves me. I perform. Amen. We have to get that straight. And when we get it straight, the struggle is over and we live in great joy that I belong to Him. He belongs to Me. How about we put that first? Let's put it first. Amen. Well, we want you to get hold of scriptures that we have made available to you by going to our website@jesusthehealer.org we printed out all the in him scriptures and we want you to feed on those. You can download that for free, print it out and meditate on it. That's your homework. Why? Because we're establishing it in us, who we are in Him. Amen. Till next time. Remember this Jesus. Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Podcast Summary: "In Christ I Can, Part 9" | Jesus the Healer with Nancy Dufresne
Podcast Information
In Episode 769 of "Jesus the Healer," Nancy Dufresne delves into the empowering truth of living "In Christ." This ninth installment of the "In Christ I Can" series underscores the vital union believers have with Christ, emphasizing that through this union, struggles are overcome, and divine power flows into every aspect of a believer's life.
Nancy begins by affirming the presence of divine power in every challenging situation, whether in a sick room or a hospital. She encourages listeners to acknowledge and receive this power, stating:
“There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you.”—[00:10]
She emphasizes the importance of actively receiving this power in all parts of oneself:
“I receive that power. I receive it right now.”—[00:46]
Nancy passionately discusses the necessity of honoring the Word in its entirety—healing, prosperity, faith—to see it work in one's life. She asserts that partial obedience leads to partial results, whereas complete alignment with God's Word ensures full manifestation of His promises.
“Only the part of the Word you honor is the part that will work for you.”—[02:20]
She further elaborates on the central theme of being in Christ, highlighting that without a firm understanding and application of this truth, believers will face unnecessary struggles.
“If we don't get hold of this truth… we'll struggle in life unnecessarily.”—[04:15]
A pivotal moment in the episode recounts Brother Kenneth Copeland's profound experience in the 1970s. When God instructed him to donate $50,000 to Kenneth Hagin Ministries, Copeland responded with unwavering faith despite his own financial constraints.
“His answer was, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it all.”—[05:30]
This act of faith exemplifies living "In Christ," demonstrating that what seems impossible apart from Him becomes achievable through His presence and power within.
Nancy delves into Colossians 2:6-7 (Living Bible), explaining the concept of "vital union" with Christ. She distinguishes between mere relationship and active fellowship, urging believers to prioritize a dynamic and thriving communion with God.
“Live in vital union with Him.”—[08:45]
She compares this to a marriage, where the relationship remains, but the fellowship can fluctuate based on daily interactions and commitment.
“Fellowship can vary. The relationship never doesn't change.”—[10:10]
Emphasizing the importance of spiritual depth, Nancy encourages believers to let their roots grow deeply into Christ, facilitating an effortless and natural response to life's challenges.
“Let your roots grow down into Him and draw nourishment from Him.”—[12:20]
She acknowledges the initial effort required to establish this deep connection but assures that it becomes second nature over time.
A significant portion of the episode focuses on God's unmerited joy and love for His people. Nancy illustrates that God's pleasure in believers isn't based on their performance but on their identity in Christ.
“God rejoices over us because we are His harvest.”—[18:05]
Using analogies like a parent’s joy over a newborn or a farmer's delight in his harvest, she underscores that believers are cherished simply for belonging to God.
“He loves us because of who we are in Him, not because of what we've done for Him.”—[21:40]
Nancy stresses the transformative power of recognizing one's true identity in Christ. She highlights that believers are seen by God not through their shortcomings but through the cleansing power of Jesus' blood.
“God sees us in Him. He doesn't look at us in us.”—[24:30]
This perspective liberates believers from self-condemnation and the need to earn God's affection, fostering a life rooted in joy and assurance of God's love.
Throughout the episode, Nancy weaves in powerful scriptures to reinforce her message:
“He rejoices over you because you belong to Him.”—[25:50]
“He will exalt over you with singing because our faults and failures don't live with Him.”—[26:30]
“Rejoice because you are in Him.”—[26:55]
Nancy Dufresne wraps up the episode by reinforcing the necessity of resting in Christ's work and identity. She calls believers to cease struggling on their own and instead lean into the sufficiency of Christ within them. The episode culminates in a powerful affirmation of belonging and the joy that comes from being unified with Jesus.
“We are to live joyous because we're in Him. Just because of that, we should have joy.”—[27:00]
Nancy also directs listeners to additional resources, urging them to deepen their understanding and embodiment of being "In Christ" through available scriptures and ministry materials.
