There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad you're with us today for Jesus the Heater. Come on in. We're having a good time and we've been on a series that is such a blessing, and we're just glad to share this teaching with you. And you know you're going to hear some people say amen and hallelujah. I've got a little bit of a studio audience. We're in our live in our newest studio now. We have two. The one in California, the one here in Texas. We just don't have the exact same room. So you might not see them the same, but you're going to hear them the same. And so the reason I like to have a studio audience because some people ask me about that, and it's not so I can feel good about my preaching. It's not so they can say, good, good, good. No, it's so when I have people around me that are hungry for the Word, it draws something out of me. And I want more drawn out for you, the viewer. And so we're all bringing our supply. That's what we're saying. We have been on this series that we're calling in Christ. We can do it. And we're talking about being, putting some spiritual habits and right thinking in place that reminds us anything God has for our intends to fulfill it and work it through us. He's not leaving us to do it on our own. You know, when God created, he created the earth and all the different components that we enjoy on this earth. But on the sixth day, he created Adam, you know, and everything was there that Adam needed. But one of the things that God said to Adam and is he said, have dominion, multiply, replenish the earth. And he gave him full dominion over the Earth. But notice this. He did not just turn him loose in the earth by himself. He came down and had fellowship with him so that Adam could have dominion from the place of fellowship with God, that He would exercise his dominion from a place of fellowship. Well, I want you to know we're carrying out the plan of God from a place of fellowship with God, and that we're doing it through Christ. That he is our ability, he is our strength, and he is the one that gives us, if I could say, the wisdom to carry out the plan he has formed for our life. You know, the genius of God is such a. That he has a plan. If we will agree with the plan, then God will fulfill the plan. Through our agreement, he's able to work through us. And then he turns around and rewards us that the plan's fulfilled. Praise God. I mean, he does the work and we get the reward. I mean, what a system, right? And so we're talking about just learning to have the mindset to say, in Christ, I can do that. Why? Because anything God calls us to do, God never intended. We do it alone. He intended to always be a part of everything he commands of our life. And let's not leave him out of anything that requires him. The plan of God for your life is so great that you never could fulfill it. God gave us a great plan because only he's the one great in us, great enough to fulfill it. Yet he has to have a channel that he works through. And that's you, that's me. And so our job is to say, yes, you can flow through me. Yes, you can manifest through me. Yes, you can work through me. That's what in Christ means. He does a part and we just are the. We're the conduit. We're the glove that his hand goes into. And. And we take on his movement. And this is really what's stated when Paul wrote in Acts, when it says, in him we live now, think of that. In him we live, in him we have. We move, and in him we have our being. What's that mean? We're not to ever do anything apart from Him. Let's not leave him out of anything that he wants to be involved in. What does he want to be involved in? Everything we're doing. Amen. Praise the Lord. And so I want to read to you Colossians chapter six. And I'm going to start with. Let's start. Excuse me, Colossians chapter six, two, six. And I'm going to read it out of the living Bible. Listen to how the living Bible reads Colossians 2:6. Paul was writing. And he said, and now, just as you trusted Christ to save, you trust him too, for each day's problems. Yes. And then the next phrase, live in vital union with Him. Do you know that when you're living mindful of God, your attention is on God, that when a problem shows up, it's going to run into Him. It's going to run, it's going to bump right into him. And there is no need that goes unmet in Him. Right. So he said, trust him too, for each day's problems, live in vital union with Him. Verse 7 says, Let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from Him. You get the theme of this in Him. In him. It's talking about Him. And if we're not careful, we just live our life with us in mind. But it's no we're to be in him minded. He's in me, I'm in Him. Therefore, everything of him is available to flow through me. If I will just respond to him, if I will acknowledge him, lean on him, depend on him, rely on Him. Well, how do I do that? I obey Him. When he tells me to do something, I do it. And my obedience becomes a place that he fills with Himself. Amen. So again, let's look at verse seven. It says, let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from Him. When it says, your roots growing down deep, look at this. It's talking about being established deeply in something. We have to establish the truth that we are in Christ, Christ is in us. We are one with Him. We have to establish that so firmly in us. Because anytime opposition shows up, we have to say this, you just ran into Christ. You want to mess with Christ? Because I'm in Him. He's in me. You take me on, you took him on. Amen. And we need to think of those terms. We are one with him. And we need, as the Body of Christ, we need some right mental habits. And this is a right mental habit to have that when a need shows up, it just ran into the supply of Christ. Why? Because Christ is in Me and I will never have a need unmet. Not possible. Because the Provider is in me. And I'm going to put the Provider to work. How am I going to put the Provider to work? I'm not going to depend on me. I'm going to depend on Him. I'm going to obey everything he tells me, tells me to do. Now let me give you an example of a testimony that happened with us, of us putting the provider to work for us. My husband and I, we got married in 1984. Well, in 1990, we moved out to California. I won't go into the whole story, but we moved too slow. God told us to move back to California. And we had a building, a church there. It seated 1,000 people. It was on 85 acres. My husband was endeavoring to sell that and then we would come out, relocate in California, and the building didn't sell. And so we made this mistake. What mistake did we make? We waited for permission from property to sell before we moved, and we waited too long. What's that mean? When God tells you to move, don't wait for something else to give you permission of what he's already commanded. And so anyway, so we waited too long. And in waiting too long, we fell behind financially. Why? Because we got out of the plan. We missed what God was directing us to do, so we fell behind financially. One morning I woke up and I told my husband it was Monday morning and I said, I'm flying to California today. And he said, you are? I said, yes, I am. I said, God told us to go and I'm just going to go. And our oldest son was 6 years old. And so I got Steven a ticket and my husband was getting ready to go preach on the road in another state. And so I said, when you go there, we're going to California. And he said, really? And I said, we're really going. And we. There was no contention, there was no strife. It was just, I've sat here long enough and the longer we sit, the more we get in debt. I'm just going to get where God told us to be. And so that was on a Monday morning and we flew out to California and by 5 o' clock I had rented a brand new home. And we were up. We were in our home, occupying it by five o' clock, and I called my husband and I said, got a home. Whenever you get off the road meetings, come join me. It's a nice home. And it had never been lived in brand new. And we were renting it because I didn't want to buy anything at that time until we got acquainted with the area. And so we lived in that home for a couple of years, but it took us much time to, if I could say this, recover financially from having delayed our obedience. And it cost us. And we struggled financially. And because disobedience does cost you, it's expensive. Disobedience is expensive. And so I remember it was February 1993. My husband got up one morning. He was always an early riser, and he would get up and go down to the corner store and he would get a newspaper every morning, and he would get himself a cup of coffee, and then he'd come back to the house. And this one morning he came back and he had a magazine in his hand. And he threw it down on the kitchen counter. And it was a magazine of all the homes that were for sale in our region. And there was a lovely home on the front of this magazine on the COVID And Ed threw down the magazine. Now, remember, we're still in debt at the time. At this time, I guarantee you I couldn't have afforded to buy postage stamps. I handled the finances for us personally. I knew where we were at. My husband didn't really oversee that. He had just put that into my hands to manage all the bills and stuff and the paying out of bills and stuff. And so he came home, he threw that magazine down, and he said, see that house on the COVID of that magazine? I said, yes. He said, when I walked into the store and my eyes fell on that, God spoke to me and said, that's your house. And I said, okay. And my husband never asked the next question which others ask, do we have any money? My husband did not ask that. And I had been with my husband long enough to know he wasn't going to ask that. Because when God said something, you didn't need to ask something else for permission. And so my husband said, God said, you see, what's that mean in Christ? He just involved himself in our house. He was as one in Christ. It mattered to him that we had the home. And Christ was leading us to that home. And so I said to my husband, I said, well, when are you going to look at it? He said, we're going to go look at it today. I said, sounds like a good day to do that. We never once yet talked about finances. He knew we didn't have it. I knew we didn't have it. No use talking about it. Talking about it didn't put anything in it, you know, so we just didn't talk about it. And you don't need money when you have the Word. The Word will cause the money to come. The word will cause the supply to come. It's not about, do you have money? Do you have what God said to you? So he contacted a real estate agent that day, and we set up an appointment that day to go look at the home. We walked through the home. My husband said, yep, this is it. We'll Take it. And so he said to the real estate agent, he said, find out who owns the home. So the woman who owned the home lived in the Los Angeles area, probably about an hour and a half away. And he made contact with her. And she was an older woman, about, in her 80s or so. And so she sent her two sons who handled all of her business. Evidently, she owned quite a lot of property. This was a home that had been built the year that we had moved to California. But no one had ever lived in this home. It was on four and a half acres, and it was. It exactly suited my husband because my husband liked land. Why? Because he wanted to build something. And so he was always, anytime you gave him land, he put buildings on it. And so this woman who owned the property sent her sons to meet with my husband. And I love the boldness of my husband. And boldness isn't rudeness, but boldness is just knowing what God said. And so whenever he met with the sons, he. They introduced talk, you know, chit chatted a moment. And then my husband said to him, said, showed him that home and said, God told me that this is my home. He didn't ask them if they were Christian. He didn't ask them if they believed in God. He just said. He just said, what happened? God told me this is my home. And he says, I don't have any money. What can you. That's a good sales tactic, right? Buying tactic. He said, I don't have any money. Then listen to this. What can you do to get me in that home? In other words, he's asking, what are my options? Just because you don't have the obvious doesn't mean there's not options. So my husband said, what can you do to get me in that home? And they said, well, we can't propose anything because we don't own it. My mother, they said, our mother owns it. We'll go talk to her. And so they went back home. They asked their mother, the next day they came back and they told us what that conversation looked like and said, we went home, we asked. We told our mother, a preacher there wants to buy that home. And he said, he doesn't have any money, but he's asking what are the options that we could present to work with him. And she said, well, what's the preacher's name? And so they said, well, his name is Ed Dufresne. And she said, fifteen years ago, I attended in Torrance, California, the church that he pastored. She said, that service I went to, I had been sick. She said, God healed me in that service. She said, whatever you have to do to get that preacher that home, you get him in that home. What was that? In Christ, we could buy that home in us. We didn't have the money, but in Christ, what do I mean? In his plan, in his provision, we had enough. What was our job? To say yes. And if we said yes, that means we're going to make steps. This is where a lot of people miss out on letting Christ work for them. They don't make steps. They want to sit stationary until God manifests something. But if you'll just make movement that you can make. It didn't cost us anything to call those men. It didn't cost us anything to talk to Him. God needs to see that faith has a movement. And so when we made movement, God filled it with his supply. And that woman said, ask him the terms he wants and I'll just set up whatever terms he wants. And so that's what we did. And we set terms in place financially that were feasible for us to do. And we sold that home 11 years later and sold it for a million dollars more than we paid for it. Praise God. And that worked out pretty good, didn't it? That worked out pretty good. Why? Because in Christ we can have. If he says we can have it, we can have it. And that's what we're talking about in Christ. We have to establish ourselves in this truth. That in him, there's nothing I can't do. If he tells me to do it, I can do it. Now let's look again in Colossians, chapter 2, verse 7, the Living Bible, let your roots grow down into Him. What's that mean? That means when storms come and they try to blow, something deep rooted can't be moved. Because there were a lot of reasons why we couldn't have that house. But there was one reason why we could. Because God said it was our house. Can I tell you this? Whenever you're faced with opposition, whenever you're faced with need, tell that need and tell that opposition what God said. If you don't know what God said, you don't have a ready answer for opposition. You have to know what God told you to do. And this is where the success in Christ comes from. Hearing what he would say to you, what he says in His Word, but also what he says specifically to you by His Spirit. There is no scripture that told us. I'm talking about written scripture that told us that that house on the COVID was ours. But the Spirit of God said it. So the word of God says, my God shall supply all your needs. Well, that was a need for us to have a home. And so we had the general word, but the Holy Spirit gave us the specific word of which house. And so when we followed what the Spirit of God said to us specifically and moved toward it, then we gave Christ something to supply. That's why I love a statement that brother Jesse Duplantis makes. Give God a job. When we called that real estate agent, we gave God a job. His job was to get us in what he said was ours. And so if God says that something is yours, if God says for you to start that business, if God says something, something about your home, your marriage, then if you'll obey, you're giving God a job. And look, God loves moving in our behalf. Amen. He loves doing. Listen, when you own everything, what else gives, gives someone like him joy. And that is working for those he loves. Amen. Manifesting for those he loves. And so here it says again, Colossians 2, verse 7. Let your roots grow down into Him. Build this on the inside of you. Christ is in me. I'm in Him. And I'm going to put him to work through obeying his word and obeying what he tells me to do by His Spirit. So let your roots grow down into him and draw up nourishment from Him. Look at that. It's up to us to draw on who he is in us. What's that mean? Rely on Him. Depend on Him. Could I say it this way? Put pressure on your covenant. What's that mean? Put a demand on it. Put a demand on who's in you. Put a demand. Give Him a job. Amen. Now I want to go down to verse nine, Colossians, chapter two. In verse nine, it reads, for in Christ, there is all of God. Look at this. All of God in a human body. So you have everything. When you have Christ, you have it. You have it. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. So when God tells us to do something, how could we ever say no? Because we're filled with him, who is everything, who has everything, who can do everything, perform everything, fill everything with Himself. God builds it, then fills Himself. Fills it with Himself. It's amazing. That's called in Christ. So if we will think in those terms, we have to renew our minds. Because the unrenewed mind goes to calculating, but the renewed mind remembers what it knows about. I'm in Christ now. Now, how do I say it? This way you don't deal with a man who's in Christ like you deal with an unsaved man. As a pastor, if someone were unsaved, I couldn't talk to him about in Christ. He's not in Christ. But I don't want to treat a saved man like he's not in Christ. I don't tell him to go the world's way. I don't tell him to go the way the world to figure out, to get their supply, to get their answers. You've got the resources of the Divine One on the inside of you. I'm going to counsel you differently. So you can't deal with a man who's in Christ like you deal with an unsaved man. The way to help a Christian is teach him who's in him and what's in him because of who's in him. That's the way you help a Christian. You want to help one another, family members, loved ones that are saved. Remind them of who's in them. Talk to your children about who's in you. Amen. Talk to them about what can be done because of who's in you. To help every believer, they need to be taught who they are in Christ. That's one of the greatest things you can understand, one of the greatest things you can learn for yourself, but one of the greatest things you can remind someone of. Remember, don't quit. Are you kidding? Who's in you won't let you quit. Come on. Right. Amen. And that's why we don't just go to the mental arena to try to solve our problems. We go to who's in us. Amen. You know, psychology and things like that, they might help with the mental arena, but they're not going to help. They're not going to help the real root of things. Amen. Don't cheat a man by treating him like he's not in Christ when he's saved. I mean, there's a wealth in him. And to draw him to any other solution other than who's in you will do the work. Who's in you can be relied on. Who's in you can be counted on. To offer him something else is to cheat that man. Now, the way to help every unsaved man get him into Christ, that's how you help him. Amen. Because look, let me read this to you again. Verse 9 of Colossians 2. For in Christ there is all of God in a human body. These words are so loaded, right? So you have everything. When you Have Christ. You have everything. What's this mean? You have victory because he's in you. You have healing because the healer's in you. You have provision. You're not prosperous because you have money. You're prosperous because the provider is in you. Amen. And because the provider is in you, the money you need must come. It must come. The supply must show up. It must come to you. Can I say this? All the fruits of the Spirit are in you. Amen. That is the attributes of God. The fruits of the Spirit are God's attributes. Love, peace, joy, faithfulness. These flow out of God. They're in you. When you rely and draw on these fruits, you're drawing on Christ in you. Amen. All of the wealth of heaven in you. And we just have to think in those terms. I said we have to think in those terms. Well, we're learning, aren't we? We're learning. And Christ in us is for everyday life. Christ in us is not just for the emergencies. It's not just for when something derails. What about Christ in us keeping it on the rail, right? Keeping things from going off and just holding us right in the. In the central best of God's plan. Amen. Well, we're going to give you homework. How about that? It's what you do at home that's going to count in life, right? And you can go to our website@jesusthehealer.org and you can download for free. We have prepared all the, what we call in him, scriptures that are ready for you to print out perfectly free. Just go and download them. And there's around 130 or so scriptures that teach you who you are in Christ, who Christ is in you. Feed on these, speak them to yourself. Let the truths of these rest deep in you. Meditate on these things and talk them throughout your everyday life. Listen, remind your family members when you're faced with a need, that's no problem for Christ. He's in me. That's no problem for how. How rich we've been made in Him. Can I tell you this? It's our privilege to live as rich as we are. And so we need to find out who we are in Christ and conduct living from that place. You don't want to miss next time because we're going to continue this direction. And until next time, remember this. Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Episode 773 | In Christ I Can, Part 13 (June 18, 2025)
In this thirteenth installment of the "In Christ I Can" series, Nancy Dufresne delivers an encouraging, faith-building message centered on the believer’s union with Christ. The episode's central theme is that Christians are not alone in fulfilling God’s plans—they are empowered by Christ's presence within them. Nancy explores how to develop spiritual habits, maintain right-thinking, and draw on Christ’s resources for every aspect of life, using biblical teaching, personal testimony, and practical exhortation.
Nancy’s style is warm, instructive, and filled with encouragement. She repeatedly affirms the listener’s spiritual capacity in Christ, using vivid personal stories, practical illustrations, audience interaction, and citations from Scripture. The tone is candid, faith-charged, and exhortative, consistently returning to the theme: “In Christ, I can.”
This episode is a practical and inspiring call to live daily from the reality of Christ within. Nancy Dufresne challenges listeners to renew their minds, act in faith, and expect God’s supply in every circumstance—not just for emergencies, but for victorious, overflow living.
