Thank you to Kenneth Copeland Ministries for sowing the airtime for this broadcast.
There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now. From the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. We are continuing on a series that we've been on called In Christ I Can Do It. And so we are taking a testimony that Brother Copeland gave. And this has been our starting point for every single episode in this series because it demonstrates so clearly how we're to draw on Christ. And God spoke to Brother Copeland back in the 1970s, and this was before Brother Copeland as he was young in ministry, and he still was. He was still believing God to pay off debt, and he was learning about the truths of prosperity. And God spoke to him in the midst of that and said, I want you to sow $50,000 to Kenneth Hagin Ministries. And so when Brother Copeland heard that, he gave an answer that really. It went off on the inside of me. And it was a window and into a room of revelation for me. And Brother Copeland's response to that was, in Christ, I have it, and in Christ I can give it. And I saw then in Christ we can do anything God tells us to do outside of Christ. That's where it's impossible. And so I saw our skill is to learn to draw on who we are in Christ. What does that mean? To. To put him to work for us. Amen. He's in us and filled us with himself. Why? So he can flow through us and work through us. Now. That's exactly what Jesus did. Jesus made the statement in the midst of all the miracles performed around him in his earthly ministry, he made the statement. He said, my Father in me, he does the works. He recognized that it was not Him. He, it was the Father healing through him. And this is what we need to understand the call of God. The plan of God for our life is not depending on us to fulfill it, but for us to draw on the Greater one in us to put him to work for us. So when God gives us something to do. Have you ever noticed the plan of God is impossible to you? It's impossible for you to fulfill all the different aspects of the plan of God apart from Him. God never intended to call you to do something and then him step out of the scene. He intended that once he calls you and makes known to you his plan for your life is that you employ him, you depend on Him. You draw on him and his ability and his resources and his supply and his wisdom and his genius and all the gifts of the Spirit and everything of your inheritance, that you draw on that to fulfill what God says. God does not give us a command so that we can look to ourselves to fill it. Amen. So this is what we've been talking about, ministering about, because it's so important that we understand this is a central truth to our lives. If we don't put him to work for us. There is so much of what God offers us that we'll never enjoy as we ought. Amen. I want to read to you. We started in the previous episode and didn't read this entire passage, but I want to go ahead and carry on with that today. This is Colossians, chapter two, verse six, and it's the living Bible translation. And Paul is writing and it reads this way. And now, just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him too, for each day's problems. Look at this. Trust Him. Not trust you. Trust him for each day's problems. So notice this drawing on him every single day is to be the flow of our life. Not just at a time of emergency, not just at a time of crisis. But he wants to fill. He wants to fill our days with his ability every day. And then he goes on and writes this. Live in vital union with Him. What's this mean? Acknowledge him all throughout the day. Turn your attention toward Him. We are not to spend devotional time with God in the morning and then walk out of that place and forget him for the rest of the day. Our devotional time is to set our attention on him so that we live that way throughout the day. God said something to me years ago. He said, start every day in the Spirit and then keep your heart turned toward Me all day long. What's that mean? Don't leave him out. The more we acknowledge him, the more he can be involved. The less we acknowledge him, the less he is able to be involved in our daily lives. So it says, live in vital union with Him. Verse 7 says, Let your roots grow down into Him. Notice this. He's saying this. Establish this as a foundation in your life, in Him. Let your roots grow down into him. And draw up nourishment from Him. What's that mean? What's nourishment? It's supply, it's ability. It's his power, his grace. Draw up nourishment from Him. This is all about Him. It's not about us. It's about him in us. Then I want to go down to verse nine. It reads, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ. Think of that. You have everything. We're not trying to get anything. We have everything when we have Christ. That everything is in him, not in us. That everything stems from Him. It doesn't stem from us and our education and our IQ and our ability or our past or our works. It stems from Him. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ, you are one with Him. You are filled with God because He's filled you. Amen. These are astounding truths that we have to learn to employ every single day of our lives. Amen. I want to read to you. Let's go to look at what? First John, chapter 4, verse 17. The last phrase of this verse says, as he is, so are we in this world. Notice this. We're to. We don't have to wait to heaven to go to heaven. To live like heaven on earth as he is. Think of how Jesus is now as he is right now. That's how we're to live in this world right now. So all of heaven is offered to us before we go there. We don't have to wait to go there to live from that place. What's this mean? Jesus said I'm the door. What's that mean? It means he's the access to the Father. He's the access to the realm of victory. He's the access to open up everything of heaven to us. We can. If I could say it this way, we're to be successful in both worlds. This world and in the spirit realm. Both worlds. Every man can choose his world which one you want to live out of. You can live out of just strictly this world. Accessing the flows of this realm and. And you'll live cheated. But we have an open door that we can draw out of the faith realm. The spirit realm is a faith realm. Why? Because it's a realm we don't see. And faith is Moving with the unseen. So because something is unseen, that means that's in the faith realm, the unseen realm. And so Jesus said, john writes, and as he is right now, so are we in this world now. Let's demand it of the flow of our life. Amen. Do you know what Jesus is right now? He's ruling and reigning. So are we in this world, we're to rule and reign. What are we ruling and reigning over? Not other people, over circumstances. Opposition that comes. You know, my mother used to make this statement. There were four kids in our family growing up, and my mother used to make this statement. She said, you can start anything with me. You're big enough to let me finish. I don't know if you understand what that meant, but we knew what that meant. In other words, if you're going to argue with me, you can start that. But know this. I'm going to finish it. So before you start something with me, you better make sure you're going to take the. Because you're going to take the finish I hand out. So she'd say, you're big. You can start anything. You're big enough to let me finish. Meaning it going to take some big pants here for you to endure the handout I'm going to give you. Well, it's the same thing with the devil. He'll start things, but we determine the finish. You can't stop opposition from coming, but you're to write the ending.
That's right.
That's right. Amen. Let me just take the example of my husband's homegoing. The devil intended to do a lot. And there were some things that he was able to work, but he wanted to. He wanted to derail the plan of God that God had for this ministry, that God had for this family. The devil intended to dismantle the whole thing. So when he attacked the family, I decided, he's attacked. He started this, but I determined the finish. He's not dismantling. We're not slowing down. We're not laying down the plan. Listen, it's not just about me. It's about the plan. It's the plan of God that blesses people. It's the plan of God that blesses the earth. Notice that God's given a plan for your life. And that plan will bless the earth, not just your life, not just your family. It will bless many. It will bless the earth. So when the devil opposed me, when the devil opposed my family, devil opposed this ministry. The devil's really opposing the plan of God. And I decided that he's not dismantling that plan. Why? Because he can touch different things. But I determine. I determine how it affects me. I decided I'm not going into depression, I'm not going into grief, I'm not going into sorrow because I'm not losing the momentum of faith when my husband exited the earth. The plan of God is so great that it's not limited to one person. Amen. The plan of God did not leave when he left. Now, don't misunderstand me. He was part of that plan. But I knew this. It was my responsibility and Faith's responsibility to pick that plan up and keep going. What do I mean by all that? I'm saying I determine what happens with the plan, not the devil.
Right?
Come on. Amen. If I'll keep moving with God, God can work that plan and fulfill it. If I choose to quit, if I choose to stop because of a tragedy, then the devil will write the ending. But as Jesus is, so are we in this world. He's ruling and reigning. He's made us to rule and reign, not through our ability, but through him in us. And I'm not trying to point to me because I didn't do anything great. I just drew on the great One. Amen. And so you too have the same ability, the same victory available to you, that's available to me. And you can live in this world as victorious because Jesus is victorious. As he is, so are you to be in this world. Amen. Another thing that Jesus is. Remember what it says in First John, chapter 4, verse 17. As he is, so are we. You know another thing Jesus is. He's peaceful. So are we. He's whole. So are we. He's provided for, so are we. Amen. Everything he is, we're one with Him. All of this happens because of him. Not because of us. Not because our faith made it happen. His power made it happen. His power filled our faith with his ability. So we can't take credit and say, see, I believed God for this, or, oh, I prayed for this and I got this. No, if he hadn't filled. If he hadn't have filled our faith with himself, if he hadn't have filled our being with Himself, we'd have none of this. It's all about Him. It's not about us. But faith is just an open door that allows him to flow in and work. Amen. Don't close the door to God. Don't get into worry. Stay in faith. No matter what happens, listen, there are going to be people that enter your life. And there's going to be people that exit your life. The plan of God did not exit with them. Amen. So no matter what opposition the enemy throws your way, you write the ending based on who's in you. Amen. You decide the ending. And that's what my mother. In a very minimal way, I'm trying to demonstrate what she said. You can start anything you're big enough to let me finish. It's the same thing, Devil. You start something, I'm going to finish it by the power of the Greater One in me. And when I say I finish it, I'm not talking about me and myself. I'm talking about me and relying on the Greater One in me. Amen. So even as he is, so are we in this world. Jesus is ruling and reigning. He has given us that same authority. Why? Because he's the head, we're the body. We have a shared authority. Our authority comes from Him. It's the exact same authority that he rules and reigns with. Amen. It's not a different one. Even as he is, so are we. It's the exact same flow, a shared authority. Now, how did Jesus live when he was on this earth? Didn't he have opposition every day? He had people trying to kill him, push him off cliffs. He had staff accusing him. He had staff stealing from him. He had all kinds of religious leaders opposing him. He had opposition on every turn it. And he was completely undisturbed. Why? Because they didn't determine the outcome. He did. By who he depended on. And he said, my Father in me, he does the works. Amen. You see that? He gave us an example of how to live. He brought blessing everywhere he went. And notice this. I don't care what the opposition is. You can still have a flow of blessing everywhere you go because of who is in you. Amen. Now, I want to just say a few of these things to you. We are created in the image of God, so we have the same capacity as God. I'm talking about in our spirits. What's that capacity? Unlimited. God is completely unlimited because we're made in his image. And I'm talking about what feature of us is in his image? Our spirit. That means our spirit is unlimited in what it can move with God. In Smith Wigglesworth, an English preacher, he used to make this statement. He said, I'm a thousand times bigger on the inside than I am on the outside. What did he realize? It's not about my own natural human ability, but there is an unlimitedness in me because the Unlimited God is in me. Amen. Now that depicted and determined how he handled opposition. One of my favorite stories with Smith Wigglesworth is he was. He'd gone to sleep one night and while he was asleep, he was awakened because he sensed an evil presence in the room. He was. He had it. He was rolled one direction in his bed. And when he woke up, he rolled to the other side of the bed. And when he rolled to the other side, he saw Satan sitting in manifested form on his bed. And I absolutely love what he said. He said, oh, it's just you. And he rolled back over and went to sleep. Did not resist him, I'm saying, getting up and fighting him. Didn't get out. Didn't even get out of bed, even went back to sleep. Like, you're not keeping me awake. I don't care that you showed up. I determined my sleep, not you. This is called realizing that the capacity on the inside of you causes you to live different because of who's in you. You have unlimited capacity for the power of God. And what did he do? Do you know when he's turned over and said to Satan, oh, it's just you. Don't you know Satan wanted a different response? Don't you know he wanted him to cower in fear because he saw this being and he didn't give him what he came for. He gave him the authority. How did he. The authority? Let me say it this way. Satan saw Wigglesworth exercise authority. He didn't say, devil, I resist you, Devil, get out. He just said, oh, it's just you. That was resistance. What is that? He made him. He spoke of him as small as he is. Satan's authority is so far less than ours. Remember what it says, that we have been raised and seated far above all principles. We're so far above all principality and power and might and dominion. Jesus, he spoiled principalities, made a show of them openly. The devil boasts of things that he can't, that he's not empowered with anymore. But if he can get you to believe the wrong thing, then you lay down your authority and you don't operate as you ought. Smith Wigglesworth operated as he ought by saying, oh, he, it's just you. There's a scripture in the Old Testament that said, when we see Satan narrowly as he is, we will say, is this the one that deceived the nations? Why? Because his talk is so much bigger than who he really is. I don't want us to get to heaven and say, wow, look at the life I could have lived compared to what I did live. Let's learn who we are in Christ. The unlimited capacity of God on the inside of us. Amen. Know this. In John chapter 15, Jesus made a statement and he said, you are the branches, I'm the vine, you draw your life. The branch draws its life from the vine. Right. None of the flow of the vine is withheld from the branch. None of it. Everything that flows in the vine is available to the branch and the branch partakes of it. And because it partakes of the life in the vine, it produces fruit. When we realize none of what is in Christ is withheld from me. He's the vine, I'm the branch. And my life will produce who I'm connected to. Amen. When we know who we are in Christ, faith issues are over. This is why I say the truths of this series that we're teaching is central to the life of every believer. It's central to our faith. Now, Ephesians 1:3, it says, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us. Look at this. With all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The Norley translation. My favorite translation of this verse says, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with everything that heaven itself enjoys. I love that verse. Now do you know where you sit? All is at your disposal. In the place we've been raised to. Let's not live beneath our place, let's occupy our place. How do you do that? You live as one in Christ. You think as one in Christ. You speak as one in Christ. What's that mean? Drawing on him, putting him to work for you through acknowledging Him. Instead of acknowledging opposition, acknowledging need. So many people live need minded. We're to be Christ inside minded. Amen. Filled with him. Amen. Since it's all that belongs to us in Christ has already been given, all that's needed on our part in faith is to say thank you. I take it. I take it. Amen. I put him to work for me in that vision he's given me in that plan that he's given for my life. Thank you, Father. You made yourself available to perform that plan through my life and I thank you. You're working right now to talk about it. When you speak about it, you give him permission to perform. When you speak what the Word says about the plan of God in your life, then you're giving him permission to manifest and fulfill that plan through your life. Amen. When you understand who you are in Christ, you're not fighting for your victory. Amen. Your taking your place from victory. You're standing and facing opposition from a place of victory. I remember years ago. You're not. You're not trying to get the victory. You're standing in victory. I remember years ago, there was a test I was going through probably 30 years ago, and I said to God, I remember where I was. And I said, I need help. It just seems like I'm not getting on the other side of this situation of the opposition that was coming. And God spoke this, and he said, I've already seen the end and you win. See, I was talking about the place I was in, and he was talking about it from the end result. The word says that he knows the end from the beginning. What's that mean? He's already seen the outcome. And he said, and you win. I go, oh, I've forgotten that. And I said, thank you that I've already won. Not because I've arrived at that place yet, but I've already been placed in victory. And so I'm going to talk about the ending is victory, not a time of struggle. Amen. So we're not fighting the good fight for victory. We're. We're fighting the good fight of faith from a place of victory. Amen. Hallelujah. And we're just thankful that we're learning these truths. Aren't we thankful we're learning them? Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
Theme: Living from the reality of our identity in Christ, with practical insights into drawing upon God’s power, presence, and provision for daily life and overcoming opposition.
Nancy Dufresne continues her in-depth teaching on the series "In Christ I Can," focusing on the believer’s authority, the importance of drawing from Christ for every area of life, and how faith is not about striving but about receiving and living from a place of victory. She shares personal stories and biblical principles to encourage listeners to stand in their identity, access God’s limitless supply, and finish strong—no matter the opposition.
Nancy summarizes that everything we need for life, blessing, and victorious living is already ours in Christ. Our responsibility is to acknowledge, receive, and give God permission (by our words and faith) to work through us—writing endings of victory, no matter where we begin.
