There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.
Nancy Dufresne
I receive it right now from the.
Kenneth Copeland
Top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. We have been on a series and we're just going to keep going, you see. How long, I don't know because I don't have notes on it anyway. These papers are just, you know, they're scriptures here and there. But we're just going to follow how the Holy Ghost leads us, because what that means is he's prescribing something for your life that is catered to you. And we just appreciate that because in what the Spirit says is our help and what the Word reveals is our answers. And so we're just here to hear from him. And aren't you glad that he's always. He's always our great helper, helping bring us into more of what God has for us? And we've been on a series, really, if we could say it in its shortest. In its shortest phrase, in Christ, in him. And we're exploring what that means. We're discovering it, we're talking about it. And I so appreciate that. I have this avenue to minister it because, number one, I'm sitting down, so I'm comfortable. That's really nice. I'm not in shoes or heels or anything that distract, but in this setting right here, I can sit and take my time. And in taking my time, we can just go further in some things. And Dr. Lester Sumrall, who was a pastor to my husband and I for years, he made this statement, when you need revelation, start teaching it. Because it's almost like that magician's handkerchief. You start with the part you do know, which is what the corner of that handkerchief you see in the sleeve, and you start pulling it and there's more and more that's connected to that. So thank you for being in this setting with me so that we can Keep pulling on what the Holy Ghost has to reveal to us. Because the more I. The more we minister, the more comes out. And it's for you. Isn't that. Isn't that so wonderful of God to have us in mind? We were talking about on the previous episode, we were reading out of Ephesians chapter one. And I'm going to start with verse 17. This is a prayer that Paul prayed, but it also shows us something of what belongs to us. Ephesians 1:17. Paul prayed that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. See, we have knowledge of us and we want to turn our. We want to not draw on that part of our being. We want to draw on the part that is him on the inside of us. Amen. Why? Because it's no longer us that lives. It's Christ that lives in me. The old things are passed away. All things are become new. We are. The old man is dead in Christ. Now we are alive in Him. It's learning to live and draw from a different place rather than us. So we were talking about on the previous episode that the Spirit of God will give unto us the spirit of wisdom and the spirit of revelation in the knowledge of him when we find out who we are in him. That is loaded with wisdom, that is loaded with revelation. Wisdom is the thoughts of God. Wisdom, the wisdom of God for the believer is who we are in Christ. When we start tapping into who we are in Christ, that's we tapped in the wisdom of God for our lives. Because who we are in him is his wisdom for us. Does that make sense to you? That when we start living based on who he is in us, we're living the wisdom of God because it was his wisdom that planned to make us one. That Jesus, everything that was in Christ, we're brought into that. Everything that is his is ours. Amen. Not by virtue of anything we earned, but by a pure gift of God. The blood purchased that place for us. Now, in Christ there are as a spirit being. Remember in Genesis, God said, let us make man in our image. People will say this, and it's a correct statement. They say, we know we win. Look at the back of the book. But I'm going to say we know we win. Look at the front of it. Come on.
Grant DeFresne
Yeah.
Kenneth Copeland
Yeah. We're made in his image. That's in the front of the book as well as the back of the book reveals it. But we don't have to wait Till the back. We can see our win and our victory at the front of the book. Why? When God said, let us make man in our image? There's nothing but victory in God. Therefore, we're made in the image of victory. Thank you, Jesus. We're made in the image of who God is. What is he? Spirit. God is not a man that he should lie. God is spirit. Remember Jesus was talking to the woman at the well. He said, God is spirit, and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Look at this. Not in spirit and emotions, not in spirit and feelings. You know, sometimes people think that they're close to God because they emotionally sense something. Well, it's fine to sense his presence emotionally, but that's not what's going to occupy the kind of worship that God's looking for. Because what if you don't feel anything emotionally? I'm worshiping in truth. I don't wait for my emotions to know. I can just look at the word. I can look at what he said and know that he's in me and I'm in him whether I feel him or not, whether I see anything change or not. You know why? Because I'm not worshiping him in anything but truth. So Jesus made this statement, God is a spirit. So when it says we are made in the image of God, when he said, let us make man in our image, what's he talking about? Spirit beings. He made us like him. Spirit beings. That's the most real feature of us. You can look at your flesh and think, what? Wow, that's very real. Because you can see it. But your spirit's more real than your flesh that you see, because that's the feature of you that was made in the image of God. Now let's live out of that feature of our being. Our mind, our soul. Our soul is made up of our mind, our will, our emotions, and our body. They are all to be dominated by the feature of us that's like God, our spirit, our spirit is to dominate. Our spirit is to take the lead. And because our spirit takes takes the lead, our emotions, our feelings, our body, our mind is to serve us as spirit beings, not rob from us and start overthrowing us spiritually. Putting the spirit man down and dominating the spirit man. But no, the spirit man is to be in the lead. And all these other features of our being, our soul, our body is to serve our spirit. We cannot live out of any other lower flow of our being and think we're going to live as God intended. We can Only live the life God authored for us when our spirit is taking the lead. Because he's a spirit. Now look at your body, a healthy body that's born into the earth. It can see, it can hear, it can touch, it can taste, it can feel all these things, what we would call our five physical senses. Right. Do you know your spirit has senses? It can hear, can see, can touch. What with the hand of faith. Yeah. Our spirit being has a form and it has all these senses that you can sense things, perceive things of another realm. The spirit realm belongs to us by virtue that we're spirit beings. Now, just as we're sitting here in a room, I've got a precious studio audience. You don't see them, but you hear them. Right? Why do we have them? Well, number one for you, because when they're in here in their own hunger, it draws things out of what the spirit of God would say through us. And it spreads a bigger buffet before you so that we want drawn out so to benefit you. So as they sit here today, they can hear things. In the room I'm speaking, you can hear maybe the temperature, the air unit going. You don't hear it. We can hear a little bit of it. We can see lights. You don't see just because we're in the room. And you know what? We don't struggle to hear them. We don't struggle to see it just because we're in proximity. We hear it. We see it without trying to. Can I tell you this? As spirit beings, we are to hear and see God's realm without trying. Why? It's to be the flow. We're not to struggle to hear God. No, we are spirit beings. He gave us ears, spiritual ears to hear him. When we say, I don't hear God, that's like someone saying, sitting in the room, hearing me say, I'm struggling to hear you. Why? Because the sound is all around you. All you have to do is pay attention. Amen. Now, if you're going to be on your phone, you know, be texting somebody, you might miss the words I say, but you're going to hear my voice. Well, even so, when people say I don't hear God, well, where is your attention? Come on. Because you can't turn your attention toward him and hear nothing. God never, he's never stopped speaking, never stopped moving. When he said, let there be light, light's still moving. I mean, scientifically, they show you that the universe is still expanding every moment that is expanding. Why? Because God never stopped moving. In God's movement. He's never stopped seeing, speaking. His movement speaks to us. Everything speaks to us. I don't struggle to hear he as a spirit being. I hear the realm that I'm born for. We're not just born for this natural realm. We were made in his image for his realm. The spirit realm, the God realm, is our home realm. But so much of the time we're more developed in the natural realm than in the spirit realm. But we can develop spiritually. We can develop ourselves spiritually so that we're more sensitive to God's realm. And when we do that, we hear him as easily as we hear the people in the room with us. There is no struggle to hear. In fact, we hear things we don't want to hear when we're in the room with certain things. You can have a television going and someone's flipping channels on that television and you can hear things you're not even seeking to hear. Things you don't even believe, things you don't agree with. Well, even so, in this world you're going to hear the devil speak just because you hear it. Just treat it as background noise of the channel to be turned. That you don't have to listen to it just because you heard the noise of it. Amen. In Christ, hearing belongs to us. Don't say I don't hear from God. Just turn toward the real you. Turn toward your spirit, man. The feature of you that has every ingredient of God's spirit. Amen. God hears, God sees, God feels. Jesus said. He said he's touched with the feeling of our infirmities. What's that mean? He feels things. Yeah, but it's his. It's this spirit being that has all the same attributes as just like the senses of the physical body. So just choose. Let's live out of our spiritual senses rather than just our physical senses. Yeah. And in Christ we can develop skill in hearing the spiritual. It doesn't make us weird. And don't become odd. The spirit realm is our realm. It's the faith realm. It's the God realm. Yeah. And don't let your words, don't let the mental side cheat you of the spirit realm by saying, I don't. You know, I never hear from God. God hasn't spoken to me. God hasn't shown me anything. That realm is for yours to see. You can see it anytime you choose to see it. If you'll turn to that realm. How do we turn to that realm? When we turn to the Word, we turn to God's realm. God's word came out of him. Right. Aren't you so glad that God took his thoughts, his words, his actions, his wisdom, his knowledge, and became an author with it? Yeah. He didn't just keep it to himself. He took of his own mind, his own wisdom, his own being, and he put it through men. And men became the secretary of God and just wrote the thoughts of God, the being of God, the actions of God, the movement of God, the compassion of God, the love of God. And they just wrote it. And then God says, here, here's my word. You can be like me when you're being a doer of the word. Yeah. And who would in their right mind say, no, I think I'll stick with my own, my own thoughts. It's like, what? What? No, Just recognize that this realm is not your realm. Our home realm is God's realm. And we are spirit beings now. As we feed on the Word, we learn his realm, we learn him, we learn his thoughts, we learn how he moves, we learn his ways. Now, the Word talked about God in the book of Psalms, in one psalm. I don't have it as a reference in front of me, but he said, the children of Israel, talking about those delivered out of Egypt, the Hebrews, they knew God's acts. But it says, but Moses knew my ways. What's that mean? If I were to. If this were a painting right here, let's say an artist painted this. That's his ax. But to know his ways means you go with him into his studio and you watch him take a blank canvas and you watch him put on that canvas maybe a wash of color. I have an artist friend of mine and I'm so impressed. I appreciate art, I just, I appreciate creativity. And I'm just so blessed by these fabulous things of artists that they create. And I have this wonderful friend of mine who's an artist and world class artist, and I saw him at one time start a painting and I go, I would have never realized that this painting began like that because he took just like a linen cloth, he saturated it in a very watery concoction of water and paints, and he just went like this and just rubbed it all over the canvas. And I go, really? Because what he ends up with is such a detail. When I see his act, it looks so perfect. But when I saw his ways, I saw the steps, I saw how he. I saw his wisdom, I saw his knowledge, how he moved. That's what God wants us. He doesn't just want us to see the outcome of him. The acts of Him? Yes. He wants us to partake of him, but he invites us to know his ways. What are his ways? The way he thinks, the way he moves, the way he blesses, the way he responds. How does. How. How does God deal with people? You say, how does God deal with man? One way. The Lord is good and his mercy endures forever. That's how he deals with mankind. He is good to all. He's merciful to all. The just and the unjust. The Word says he reigns on the just and the unjust. What's that mean? He withholds none of himself from humanity. Those who belong to him get an outpouring of Him. Those who don't belong to him get an outpouring of Him. And then how they respond to that outpouring is going to dictate where they spend eternity. You have to learn the laws that govern eternity. While you're on the earth, what are the laws that govern eternity? Well, whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. When you do that on the earth that dictates where you spend eternity. You can't do that in eternity. You have to do that on the earth. And that chooses your eternity? Yeah. It's you who make the choice. But how did we change from the ranks of the lost to become one with Christ? How did we do that? You want to know why? When? How? We were unjust. He rained on us and we left the ranks of. Of the unjust and joined the ranks of the just. Why? His goodness, his mercy. That's the ways of God. So when we find, when we open up the Word and feed on it, we are moving into the ways of God. When we follow, hear the Holy Ghost, we're moving with the One who knows the mind of God. When the Holy Ghost speaks to us, we're hearing God's wisdom. Because the Holy Ghost doesn't speak of himself. He takes of the wisdom of God, the things of God, and he speaks that which he knows of, the mind of God to us. When the Holy Ghost speaks, the wisdom of God just spoke to you? Yes. And then we say, no, I think I'll stick with what my plan is. You go, really? That's called an unsound mind. So an unsound mind is not just someone who's under medical care, medical attention, and maybe having to be confined to a room so they don't hurt themselves. It's unsound to say, I'll stick with lower thinking when the thoughts of God are offered to me. That's Unsound and in Christ. We have the mind of Christ. Think of it. There is nothing of how he thinks that he's withheld from us. We can think like he thinks. We can move as he moves. Acts 17 tells us, in him we live, in him we move. And in him we have our being. What else is left? Nothing else is left, meaning everything of us, of our life, of our daily life, of our movement. It's authored by Him. And if we obey him, we're drawing on what he authored for us. When we choose to not obey, then we're choosing to stay with what we can formulate ourselves. And my, my, my, how that troubles our life. The devil paints to us that to follow the plan of God, to obey God, is hard. But Jesus dismantled that when he said, come unto me all you that labor are heavy laden, and I'll give you rest. Learn of me, Take my yoke upon you. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Anything God commands of us, it's light and it's easy. You know what makes it hard? Wrong thinking. Holding to the thoughts of the unrenewed mind. How do we turn? Because, listen, there were times that God would say, I want you to do something. And, boy, I'd kick against it. I'm talking about mentally. I'd struggle with that. And then after struggling for months, I'd finally agree because I couldn't endure the struggle anymore and then go, oh, my gosh, it was so great obeying it. Why did I struggle against that which ended up blessing me? And I learned the struggle is far less, far easy, far worse than the immediate obedience. When we think right, we leave struggle. When we're struggling with something, it's due to wrong thinking. We're not thinking as one in Christ, we're thinking as one in. In natural terminology. In natural terms. So what's that mean? If we're going to make decisions outside of Christ, we'll struggle. But if we'll make our decisions in Christ, how that blesses our life. How do you make a decision in Christ? What do you mean by that, Pastor Nancy? Well, you know, there was a time that the very first overseas trip that I went on when I met and married my husband, I was so looking forward to it until I got there and there was like, all hell cut loose on me. And therefore after that, I associated everything about traveling overseas as a negative thing. And so I pushed back against it. But then I realized this. The devil only tries to trouble you in the things you're born for. So when it dawned on me, wait a minute, I'm born for that. Then I started saying, what? When I get ready to go on an overseas trip and I'm packing, and that thought, that sense of dread would come, you know what I would do? I'd say, thank you, Father, that your will includes this trip. And because this is your will, this trip is my home. When I arrive, I will be as at home there as I am here. Because I'm in you there, just like I'm in you here, and my home is in you. My home is not in a location, it's not in the United States, or it's not in a certain state, it's not in a certain country. My home is in you. And I'm in you. Everywhere I go. See, it's all about renewed thinking, the thoughts of the Word. Amen. In Christ, we have his wisdom. We think like Him. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Podcast Summary: Jesus the Healer w/ Nancy Dufresne | Episode 792 | In Christ I Can, Part 32
Release Date: July 15, 2025
Host/Author: Dufresne Ministries
Description: Nancy Dufresne’s teaching ministry emphasizes faith, healing, renewing the mind, following the Holy Spirit, and understanding what belongs to all in Christ.
The episode opens with a brief acknowledgment of support from Kenneth Copeland Ministries ([00:00]). Kenneth Copeland sets a powerful tone by encouraging listeners in their moments of illness, emphasizing the presence and power of God available to heal and uplift ([00:10]). This introduction seamlessly transitions into Nancy Dufresne's message, highlighting the continuation of their series, "In Christ I Can," which focuses on understanding and living out one's identity in Christ ([00:43]).
Nancy delves into Ephesians 1:17, reflecting on Paul's prayer for believers to receive “the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him” ([02:30]). She emphasizes the shift from living by our own understanding to living through Christ, asserting, “It's Christ that lives in me. The old things are passed away. All things are become new” ([03:00]). This transformation underscores the essence of believers' new identity and the wisdom that comes from knowing Christ.
The discussion shifts to the concept of humans being spirit beings made in the image of God ([04:15]). Nancy explains that while our physical senses connect us to the natural realm, our spiritual senses enable us to perceive the spirit realm. She states, “We are made in the image of who God is. What is he? Spirit. God is not a man that he should lie” ([05:10]). This section underscores the dominance of the spirit in believers' lives, encouraging listeners to let their spirit lead over their fleshly desires and emotions.
Nancy emphasizes the importance of developing spiritual sensitivity, asserting that as spirit beings, believers should effortlessly hear and see God's realm. She remarks, “We don't struggle to hear Him. No, we are spirit beings. He gave us ears, spiritual ears to hear Him” ([09:45]). This highlights the ease with which believers can connect with the divine when operating from a spiritual perspective.
Further expanding on spiritual senses, Nancy explains that the spirit has the ability to perceive beyond the physical—the ability to see, hear, and touch in ways that transcend the natural senses. She encourages listeners to tune their spiritual senses to recognize God's presence continuously, stating, “If you're going to be on your phone, you know, be texting somebody, you might miss the words I say, but you're going to hear my voice” ([14:20]). This analogy illustrates the importance of prioritizing spiritual awareness over worldly distractions.
Nancy transitions to discussing the mind of Christ, emphasizing that believers possess His wisdom and can think and act like Him. She asserts, “In Christ, we have His wisdom. We think like Him” ([20:05]). This section explores the ease of obedience when guided by divine wisdom versus the struggle that comes from relying on human understanding. Nancy shares a personal testimony about overcoming resistance to God's will, highlighting the blessings that follow immediate obedience: “...the immediate obedience” leads to greater blessings compared to prolonged struggle ([23:15]).
Nancy shares a heartfelt personal story about her initial resistance to overseas missions and how embracing God's will transformed her experience. She recounts, “I started saying, thank you, Father, that your will includes this trip. And because this is your will, this trip is my home” ([24:50]). This testimony illustrates the practical application of living in Christ’s wisdom and the peace that comes from surrendering personal plans to divine guidance.
Kenneth Copeland ([00:10]): “There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you... Say, I receive that power. I receive it right now.”

Identity in Christ: Recognizing and embracing one's identity in Christ is foundational for spiritual wisdom and revelation. This identity shift from self-reliance to Christ-centric living unlocks divine wisdom.
Spirit Dominance: Living as spirit beings involves allowing the spirit to guide over the flesh, emotions, and physical senses. This alignment ensures that believers operate from divine wisdom rather than human limitations.
Spiritual Sensitivity: Developing sensitivity to the spirit realm is crucial. By tuning into spiritual senses, believers can effortlessly perceive and respond to God's presence and guidance.
Mind of Christ: Possessing the mind of Christ empowers believers to think and act with divine wisdom. This mindset facilitates obedience and minimizes struggles associated with following God's will.
Practical Obedience: Immediate obedience to God's guidance leads to blessings and aligns believers with God's plans, contrasting with the difficulties that arise from resisting divine direction.
Personal Testimony: Nancy's story serves as a testament to the peace and fulfillment that come from surrendering personal plans to God's will, illustrating the practical benefits of living out spiritual truths.
In this episode of "In Christ I Can," Nancy Dufresne eloquently explores the profound truths of living a spirit-led life in Christ. By understanding and embracing their identity in Christ, developing spiritual sensitivity, and adopting the mind of Christ, believers can navigate life's challenges with divine wisdom and experience the blessings of obedience. Nancy's insights, coupled with her personal testimonies, offer listeners a roadmap to deepen their relationship with God and live out their faith with confidence and clarity.
