There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now from the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Heater. Come on in and spend this time with us around the Word and I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed. Because never leaves us the same when it finds its place in our heart and it finds its place in our daily life. Amen. How many of you know it's not just the hearer that's blessed, but it's the doer of the Word. The Word tells us in John 10, verse 10, Jesus made this statement revealing how the devil works. And he said, the thief comes not but for to steal, kill and destroy. But. But I have come that you might have life. Notice, two have come. Satan has come, the thief has come, but also Jesus has come. So it doesn't matter that the thief came. When we're mindful that Jesus came and he came to undo the works of the thief, well, what's the first thing that the thief wants to steal from you? The Word. And so he comes to steal the Word, because if he can get the word out of us, then he has open access to everything else. How do we keep the word that we hear from being stolen from us? Do it immediately. That when we start using that word, putting that word into action in our life, then the devil cannot steal it. If we leave that word. Let's say this. You hear your pastor preach, and that word is offered to you right there. And you just. If I could say this, you leave what you heard just laying there. The thief can come and take it. But if you'll immediately start using that word, put it into action, the thief can't get it from you because it's in movement in your life. And so we need to not just be hearers, but to be doers using that word we've heard. And I would say this, you Know, I pastored for 25 years, and it always blessed me so much when I saw congregation members take that word that they heard in the service, take it home with them, and implement that in their home and in their business, in their daily life. Because we can always tell when the Word is being done in our daily life, because our life will show the fruit of that Word. And so it always blessed me as a pastor to see families change, to see marriages and bodies and all kinds of situations change in the life of the sheep, because they were doing the word they heard. So thank God for the opportunity to hear. But if I could say this, we don't just want to be good note takers, that we're good at taking notes, but just leaving what we learned on the paper. No, we're taking notes so that we can not forget to implement what God's dealing with us about. And can I say this? For the rest of your life, God is going to be dealing with you about something. Aren't you grateful for that? Why is that? Because he doesn't want to leave us like he found us. And he is bringing us into the fullness of the stature of Christ. Why is that? Because he's teaching us how to. How to walk as Jesus walked, live as he lived, and produce what was produced through his life. Well, you say, well, Pastor Nancy, he was Jesus. Well, Jesus made this statement. He said, the Father in me, he does the works. So the same one that works through Jesus is the same one available to work through us. And so that's why our lives can produce exactly what Jesus life produced, because we had the same source, the same Father that Jesus had. Amen. And so when we hear this Word, we want to immediately implement it and be doers of it. You know, James warned the people, he said, if you're here but not a doer, you're going to deceive your own self. And the devil's not even involved. You know, it's not enough to say, I go to church, we all should go to church. That's God's system of using the local church to educate and train the body of Christ. But it's not just about attending, but it's about implementing what you hear of God's Word when you attend. And so James warned people, he said, if you hear it, but don't do it, you're going to end up being deceived, thinking that just the hearing is enough. The hearing is to always lead us to, to the doing. So hearing the Word is the beginning, but we have to Implement the Word of God in our everyday life by being a doer of it, or that Word misses its target. And if we'll implement the doing of the Word, life will be heaven on earth. And that's what the Word says, that we're to live days of heaven on earth. What's that mean? That we can live there before we go there. And as if we will live there before we go there, we'll be living the way God intended for us to live. You know, Jesus, the Word said this, that even as he is, so are we in the world. Meaning you don't have to wait to get to heaven to live like heaven. And God has filled us with Himself so that he can manifest heaven through us, all around us, and change not only our world, but those we come in contact with. Amen. And so we have been on a series called in him or In Christ. And we're just talking about what it means to be in Him. And if you're born again, you're in Christ and He's in you. Now why is he in there? Because God wants to perform and manifest through us. As I quoted earlier, Jesus made the statement, my Father in Me, he does the works. Well, the Father in you wants to work through you. He wants us to be responsive to him so that he can be. So that we can be the channel that he can flow through. Amen. I want to quote to You Acts chapter 17 and verse 28. It reads this. For in him we live, and in him we move. And in him we have our being. Notice this. Every move, movement is to be together with Him. That he is manifesting through us, not apart from us. And we're not to live this life as though we don't have him in us. How do we allow him to. To manifest through us? Well, number one, we have to acknowledge that he's in us. We have to be mindful that he's on the inside of us. And because he's in us, everything he is, is in us. You know, if I'm to go visit someone at their house, when I walk into their house, I bring everything of my being into that place. I bring my height there, I bring my eye color, I bring everything physically, I bring the education I have that's connected to me, I bring into that room when I walk in. Well, it's the same thing with God, that we. We are the dwelling place of God and we are the temple of the Holy Ghost, is what it says. So when, when us, being the temple, God comes in to dwell, he brings Everything he is with Him. So what's that mean? There's nothing of God's best that's off limits to us. He manifests his goodness, his mercy, His. His power, his ability, his genius, his wisdom through us. And to allow him to be a channel. My goodness, that's what we need to become skillful at, is to allow ourselves to draw on Him. Well, how do we draw on Him? We respond to what he tells us to do. To be the channel that God can manifest through. He will give us something to obey. And if we'll obey him, then he will show up and manifest through us. Amen. And then we'll live. And as it's recorded in Acts, chapter 17, verse 28, in him we live, and in him we move. And in him we have our being. Notice this. He has left Himself out of none of that. He wants to be in our life, in our movements, and in our very being. And can I tell you this? God is a family man. God is. He's a father. He longed to have a family. He longed to have children. And why is that? Because he wanted fellowship on his level. That's why he said in Genesis, let us create man in our image. Because he had created plants, he had created trees, he had created animals, he had created all these things that fills the earth. But nothing was created on his level until he created man. That was a spirit being. Like He's a spirit being. And he longs to have fellowship with his children. And that's one of the greatest rewards of being in him, is that we have him for our highest fellowship. And that's when it says, in him we live, and in him we move. And in him we derive our very being. Because he wants to fill every part of our being with Himself. Can I tell you this is that sometimes people get the mindset that God is only interested in our spiritual life. But that's not what this verse says, that he wants to be in our being. We are a threefold being. What does that mean? We are a spirit. We have a soul which is made up of our mind, our will and our emotions. And we live in a body. So we are spirit, soul and body. Notice this. God's not only interested in one feature of our being, he's interested in the whole of man's being. So notice this is that just as he's interested in your spiritual life, he's interested in your soulish life. He's interested in what goes on in the mind of man. He's interested in your will. He's interested in the physical being of man. Why is that? He gave you your body? Because we need our body to remain on this earth, right? That gives us permission to be on this earth. And God's interested in all of it. And can I tell you, he was so interested that we be in that our physical being be in such great and full strength condition that Jesus's body, he bore stripes for our healing. That's how important that a healed body is to God. That he allowed the stripes that that purchased our healing to be laid on Jesus. Why is that? Because God's interested not just in our spiritual life, but he's also interested in our physical life. There is no part of our being that God is not interested in and it's important to God. And can I say this? When our health is as it should be, how much more we can. God can use us as his channels, right? God can use us in all kinds of ways, in all kinds of measures. But God doesn't just want us having a limited health. He wants us to be whole from the top of our head to the soles of our feet. Why? Because then there's nothing to hinder us as channels for him to manifest through. And so God's interested in all of our being. Never buy into that. God's not interested in your health. That God's not interested just in the in the mind of man or in the will of man. He's not just interested in the spirit of man, he's interested in the whole of our being. And can I tell you this because he's interested in the whole of our being. He's interested in anything that that's connected to us. Do you know that your financial welfare is connected to your life? God's interested in your financial welfare. Can I tell you another thing that's connected to your life is what about a home to live in, a job, to have the things that are part of our everyday life. God's interested that you have the home of your joy, that you have the home of your desire. Don't think he's not interested. He's interested. And let me just tell you a little bit of a story that really, really drove this home to me. The interest of God in every feature of our life. When my youngest son was about 4 years old, the staff was over at my house one day we were working on a ministry project and there were probably, I don't know, about six or seven staff members over that day. And I had to go run an errand and so I left my 4 year old son at home with the staff and they were working on the project. And I went out and ran the errand. And when I came back, one of the staff members met me at the door and said, pastor Nancy said while you were gone and said, you son got hold of. I don't know what they call it today, like slime. You know, it's just this. Back then they called it gac, but today it's more of a slime type consistency. Well, he got it and he put it in his hand hair. And so they said he was playing with it and he just plopped it on his head and started just rubbing it into his hair. And his hair was longer on top in those days. And so they said, we tried to get it out, we put oil in his hair, we did all kinds of things to try to get it out. And they said, we can't get it out. And I thought, ah, this is a perfect opportunity to cut his hair short. Because it was summertime. And I thought the shorter the better. It's just easier to keep, it's easier to wash. It makes it less work for me. As the mama and I had in previous weeks said, why don't we cut your hair? And he says, no, I don't want my hair cut. I don't want it cut. And so I would try to persuade him of all the benefits of having his hair shorter. And I just could not, I couldn't sway him to want his hair shorter. Well, when he had put this slime in his hair, I thought, we now have a perfect opportunity for short hair. So I said to him, I said, honey, we've tried to get it out. We can't get it out. The only thing we can do is we have to cut your hair short and get it removed. Because, I mean, he had driven it down to the scalp. It wasn't just on the ends. He had gotten it all the way into the scalp. And so I pull out the scissors. I'm going to, because I tried to even get, you know, like a shaver through his hair, but it just gummed up the mechanism. So I thought, well, I've just got to take scissors and cut it out to begin with. So right before I started cutting, one of the staff members says, you know, Pastor Nancy Sid, when I was little, I fell asleep one night with gum in my mouth. And so when I woke up, the gum had gotten in my hair. And my mother tried several things to get it out and she couldn't get it out. And so finally she tried peanut butter and when she put that peanut butter in there, said, that gum released. And I thought. And I said, you know what? Y' all tried oil. Y' all tried this. They tried all these different things. I said, peanut butter's not gonna work because there's oil in peanut butter, you know. And I thought, well, you've already tried oil. It's not gonna work. And so my son is just crying because I'm getting ready to cut his hair. He said, mama, I don't want my hair cut. Oh, I don't want my hair cut. And I said, baby, I said, there's no other way to get this out. We just have to cut your hair. And so I start cutting, and he's crying, and. And I had taken the scissors and cut it as short as I could with the scissors. But I thought, well, now maybe I can get the shaver with the comb on it, you know, to even it out, because now it was kind of chopped inconsistently. And so I went to put the shaver through it to just not taking it all the way down, but just had a little bit of growth on it, and I couldn't get the shaver still through it, even though I had cut much of the length off. And so I said to the staff member, uh, oh, we've still got to get this out. I said, go get me the peanut butter. Let's try it. And as soon as that peanut butter hit that product, it released. And I go, uh, oh, meaning I could have tried this before I cut his hair. But anyway, it's too late now. So I got the peanut butter worked through his hair, all of that product came out. And then I evened up his hair and sent him out, and he's just standing there crying because I've just cut his hair. And I said, baby, it's just hair. It'll grow back. It'll be back in a couple weeks. You won't even remember this happened. And I'm trying to talk him down off the cliff. You know what I mean by that? Or up out of the rafters. He's worked up up here. And I'm just trying to diffuse that. So I walk out of the bathroom where I had cut his hair, and I'm walking down the hallway, and you could hear him still in the bathroom, just crying because his hair had been cut and he didn't want it cut. And God spoke to me, and he says, I want to talk to you. And I thought, okay, let's talk. You know, I thought he was going to say, good job, you know, but he didn't say, good job. What God said to me, he said, you know, it was important to him that his hair not be cut. And he said, because it was important to him, it was important to me. Now listen to that. It wasn't in the scope of eternity important about the length of his hair, but because it was important to my son, God made it important to him. And then God said it was important to him that his hair not be cut. And he said, because it was important to him, it was important to me. And I don't appreciate that what was important to me was not important to you. That changed so much that day for me in the way I approached what was in somebody else's interest, what mattered to other people. I saw that even though it wasn't that important to me about his hair getting cut shorter, I saw that even if something isn't naturally important to me, I have to choose to make something important to me if it's important to those around me. Because that's the way God operates. If it pertains to you and it's important to you, God makes it important to him even though it's not important in the scope of eternity. Because this is where the devil dupes so many people into a life of defeat. He gets them to buy into the mindset that God's only interested in your spiritual life if it's important to you. God's interested in it whether it's spiritual, mental, physically, materially. Amen. It's important, you know, since my husband, he went home to be with the lord unexpectedly in 2013. And I have noticed that with every anniversary, every birthday, every Christmas, these times of celebration that I would have had with my husband, God does something special for me during that time. Why is that? Because the Word said he is the husband to the widow. He steps into the role. And just as my husband was good to me at those times of holidays and celebration, God makes himself, he makes those celebrations important to him so that he shows up in my behalf during those times. What does that mean? If it's important to you, it's important to God. And I want you to know your whole wellbeing, spiritually, mentally, physically, materially is important to God. And that really, when that experience happened with my son years ago, it really. Can I say this? It changed the way I even conducted my marriage. Because I saw if something was important to my husband, even though I wouldn't have naturally had an interest in it, I made myself take an interest in it. Because I saw that's the way God handles his own children. He notices what's important to you and he makes it important to him by choice. It's important to him about your health. It's important to him that your bills are paid. It's important to him that you have the home you desire for your family, you know, Kenneth Hagin, as I've said in previous episodes, dad Hagin was a spiritual father to my husband and I for decades. And dad Hagin, for my goodness, over 60 years, was in the ministry, full time ministry, and really probably closer to 70 years. But in that time he traveled primarily through his ministry. He drove by car. So much of the time he would drive sometimes all night long just because the heat of the day would be so much that he would choose to drive great distances through the nighttime. And most of the time in those earlier years, he had used cars, cars that were, you know, easier for him financially to get hold of. And there came a day, though, that he always wanted a luxury car. And for the. For after decades of having driven used cars from place to place to preach, he was in a financial situation to where he could buy the first luxury car brand new that he had ever had. Well after he got this car, about three weeks later, his ministry hit a tight place financially. And he was sitting at home thinking to himself, wow, I wish I hadn't have bought this car. Because as I said, this was his first brand new car. And not only that it was a luxury car, it was a little bit more expensive than any car he had ever owned, and especially because it was new. So he was lamenting the fact that he had spent the money on this car. And now his ministry was hitting a tight place financially. So he's considering maybe, you know, the dealership, he's friends with the owner there, maybe he will consider taking back the car. And he's just thinking about his options of how he could get out from under the responsibilities of this car while he's considering that all of a sudden Jesus appears to him, stands in front of him, and Jesus asked this question of Brother Hagin. He said, do you know what kind of car I want you to have? And Brother Hagin said, no. He said, I want you to have the kind of car you want to have. What's this mean? If it's important to you, Jesus makes it important to him. I want you to know that in Christ every part of your being is important to him. Don't let the devil dupe you into thinking that just because it's a desire of your heart that God's not interested. Just because it's a dream you've always had. God's not interested. God's more interested in your dreams and your desires being fulfilled than anything, than you even desire it. He longs for you to have every part of your being fully supplied, fully met. And I want you to know in Christ, every part of our being, every facet of our life is supplied. So know this, it's not just about your spiritual life. It's about anything connected to you God is interested in. And I talk to God about those things. I'm the type, I like stuff. Anybody else like stuff. I like stuff. You know, sometimes there are people that they find great joy in somebody maybe writing them a card and writing a sentiment to them and writing something sweet, that's always a blessing, you know, or others just if somebody does something for them that means a lot to them, that's great too. But I like stuff. I mean, I like getting presents, I like getting stuff. And my oldest son and I, we're pretty much that way, you know, and we really like it when we can order something online and it gets delivered to our house. It feels like Christmas every day, you know, I like that. And do you know what? I never look at all the things that God's blessed me with and say, you know, this is just too much. No, because I know this, that if it's important to me, it matters to God that the desires and the longings and the wants of my life get fulfilled and satisfied. Because as we said in Acts chapter 17, verse 28, for in him we live, in him we move. And in him look at this. We have our being, every facet of our being, our material life, our financial life, our physical well being, our mental well being. What about this? The well being of your family, the well being of your home, the well being of your business. Do you know it matters to God that you have all the customers for your business you need? It matters to God that you get the good contracts in business. It matters to God. Why? Because it matters to you. And anything that's important to you, God makes it important to Him. And he will manifest and work through those desires of yours so that he can, he can bring to pass and fulfill the longings of your heart. So never, if I could say this, dumb down the desires of your life, because if it's important to you, it's important to Him. And he, he will fill those desires with his ability and his provision and his blessing. Well, you don't want to miss it until next time. Remember this Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Date: September 2, 2025
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
Theme: The all-encompassing interest and care God has for every part of our lives—spiritual, physical, material, and emotional—through our union with Christ.
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her ongoing “In Christ I Can” series, focusing on what it truly means to live in Christ. She teaches that God's concern for us extends well beyond our spiritual state—He cares deeply about our physical health, mental wellbeing, finances, relationships, and the simple desires of our hearts. Through stories, Scripture, and personal testimonies, Nancy illustrates how God’s presence in our lives is meant to impact every facet of our existence.
Nancy Dufresne’s speaking is warm, personal, and faith-building.
