There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

I receive it right now.

From the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the healer. Thank you for being with us. And we're believing that God's going to speak to you today. And when he speaks to you, how many of you know that? It really becomes the end of struggle in our life when we hear what God has to say and then we act on what God says. So we want you to get something to take notes on so that you can record what is he saying to me. Have you ever noticed this, that there's never a time that God's not dealing with us about something. And my goodness, aren't we glad for that? Because he's constantly working to bring us into the. Of the stature of Christ. And so therefore, he is always showing us something that we can move further with him in. And so we're in a series that right now is going to take us further into some understanding and some revelation. And we've been ministering for over 65 episodes on in Christ and what that means, because really the entire message of the New Covenant is summed up in this. Who we are in Christ, what we have, because we're in Christ. But look at this, what we can do because we're in Christ. So when we find out who we are in him, who he is in us, that elevates everything. We leave the natural and we start moving and flowing with the divine. And so by faith, and we leave this natural realm and we start cooperating with God at His level. And we can do that simply because we are created in the image of God. And what. What feature of us is created in his image? It's our spirit, man. And God has stocked our spirits with his life, his nature, his ability. And he intends that we live out of all of that. He has deposited in us and made ours. So we're going to talk that further today in ministering. We invite you for any episodes that you may have missed in this series, go back and feed on these. Because even though I am always very repetitive in my teaching, it's because of this full faith does not come with one hearing. Faith comes by hearing and hearing. And we can have some things authored in our heart. But, you know, we many times carry a way of thinking, a way of operating that really can't be just by hearing something once. We need to hear it over and over and over, meditating on it, and driving that truth down into our spirit. And when that happens, it begins to rewrite the way we think. And the Bible calls it the renewing of the mind. And so as you listen sometimes to a particular episode that may really speak to you, and sometimes you might find that episode that, oh, my goodness, it's addressing something so particular to you, and you play it over and over and over, do you know, that is really wisdom to do? Why is that? Because that's one way of meditating on a truth that God is authoring in your spirit. And so we're just believing that as we keep ministering, more and more of the revelation of God is dropped in your spirit and given by the Holy Ghost. Amen. We have been taking in this series, our jumping off point, our starting point, is a testimony that Brother Copeland gave. And I so love the testimony because it opened up when that testimony became a window to a large room for me. And he was talking about, in the early 1970s, him and sister Gloria were just learning the principles of prosperity, and they had been in debt, and they were believing God to get out of debt. And. And in these earlier stages and earlier years of their ministry, God spoke to Brother Copeland and said, I want you to sow $50,000 to Kenneth Hagin's ministry. Now, $50,000 is a lot today, but can you imagine over 50 years ago, what amount that would have been? And here, Brother Copeland and Sister Gloria were in debt personally. And so when you hear this large amount commanded you of God, it would be real easy to go to the mental arena. It would be very easy to go to the natural arena and list reasons, multiple reasons why you could not fulfill that word. But notice this, when God speaks something to us, it's not a suggestion, it's a command. And so when he heard that command, he, Brother Copeland gave a skillful answer based on who he was in Christ, not based on what his natural resources showed him. And this is the answer that Brother Copeland gave. He Said in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it. I tell you, when he answered that way, he just stepped out of the natural arena and he stepped into the arena of divine provision. When God told him, I want you to sow $50,000 into Kenneth Hagin's ministry, God was offering him a flow that he was not yet moving in. And you know, to us in the natural, if we just address these things naturally, that doesn't sound like God's offering us something higher. It sounds like he's trying to bring us into a place of hardship. But. But God never moves to bring us into hardship. But he will put us in a place to where we recognize that only he can fulfill it through us. So when God spoke to Brother Copeland, give $50,000 to Kenneth Hagin's ministry, he was not only offering him a higher flow, but he was also putting a demand on him, becoming skillful in who he is, in Christ. And so Brother Copeland gave that word based answer. And of course, he could have just gone to the natural and said, well, I don't earn enough, or I don't have enough money in my account, or I need my own bills paid. There's always a reason that the natural man can give to disobey. But you're going to have to go against your flesh every time you obey God. You're going to have to go against the reasonings of the natural man to obey God. And this is exactly what the Word will do. It renews our mind so that we can agree with the Word instead of argue with the Word. How many times. It's just so easy to give a reason why you can't do something but the Word, because we're in Christ, it shows us what we can do. So the skill of Brother Copeland's answer has blessed me so much because when he said, in Christ I have it, well, I recognize this immediately. Brother Copeland knew outside of Christ he didn't have it. So he did not answer as one outside of Christ. He answered as one in Christ. And in Christ is everything available to us that is not available outside of Christ. As Christians, we have to learn to quit going to what our life is outside of him and say, we have been offered a new life and it's in Christ. So we have to train ourself mentally and with our words to go to in Christ instead of speaking about outside of Christ. Now let me finish this story. But Brother Copeland gave this skillful answer and he said, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it. And so what he did was he immediately began acting in line with his answer. He knew that only God could fulfill that through him. God never tells us to do something that we can fulfill apart from Him. We have to recognize that we are only able to fulfill something he commands of us as long as we are thinking and speaking and moving as one in Christ. Now, the accuser of the brethren. Now the Bible calls Satan the accuser of the brethren. In giving him that title, Heaven is also showing us the strategy of how the enemy works against us. He accuses us. So the accuser of the brethren is always endeavoring to draw you back to outside of Christ. Because he knows that if you think as one in Christ, is if you answer as one in Christ. And as you move as one in Christ, the devil has no place of entrance. So he's constantly trying to get us to evaluate a situation. And outside of Christ, meaning, do you have enough money for this? Do you have enough ability for this? Do you have enough, we could say this, natural resources for this. Well, we are redeemed from living based on the natural man. Now, we are not only authorized, but we're commanded to live life based on what's in our spirit. Why is that? Because that's the feature of us that is like God, when we turn toward our spirit, instead of turning toward the natural, turning toward what this world shows us, the flow of this world, or even what our own natural makeup would show us. And we turn toward who we are in Him. We come into the realm of possibility. And that's what Brother Copeland began talking about outside of Christ. It was not possible to give that amount, but in Christ it was possible. And so he began talking about in Christ. Because faith talks about who you are in Christ. Doubt and unbelief talks about who you are outside of Christ. So we have to train ourselves. That faith talk is, I'm in Christ because I'm in Christ. I have him doing the work through me. Now remember what the Word tells us, that I can do all things. Look at this. Through Christ, who strengthens me. So we can do all things through him. But outside of him, we can't do all things. And the devil is trying to always get our attention and our focus on outside of Christ. Because that's the place where impossibilities prevail. But in Christ, everything is possible. And so we have to retrain the way we think. What is that called? The renewing of the mind. Find out what belongs to you because you're in Christ. What you can do because you're in Christ. And what that does, that removes all struggle. How many times Christians that would have heard that same command that God gave Brother Copeland? They would have struggled financially. They would have struggled mentally. How can I make this happen? What can I do to make this come to pass? Brother Copeland did not go there. He went immediately and put that command on his place in Christ. Now, when he did that, he recognized God was going to fulfill that word through him as long as God could get Brother Copeland's agreement. Do you know that that's what faith is? Faith is simply agreeing with what God said. And it makes it so simple when we realize all he's asking for is for us to agree. Jesus made the statement during his earthly ministry. He said, my Father in me, he does the works. Listen, Jesus never tried to fulfill any of what he was called to do and born to do apart from the Father. He recognized, I am the channel that my Father manifests through, operates through, and flows through. Well, if that's what Jesus, that's the role that he allowed the Father to have. That's the only way we can accomplish what we're born for, is we let the Father in us do the work. Now, when we say letting the Father in us do the work, that does not mean that we do nothing. Because as new creatures in Christ, we, Number one, we have to exercise faith. What does faith do? Faith agrees with what God says. As dad Hagin, now, Kenneth Hagin, was a spiritual father to my husband and I for decades. And Brother Hagin would often remark, God is a perfect gentleman. He will never force his way into. Into any flow of your life. Meaning this. Even if you need a miracle, God will not force his miracle flow into your life. You have to invite him. And it's our faith that invites Him. Many times people say or they think to themselves, well, God knows I need a miracle. Why doesn't he just do it? Because being a perfect gentleman, his honor will not let him violate your will. He is so honorable that he will not insert himself or assert himself beyond what we invite him in for. And I want you to know this. It's your faith that invites him. So when you say, I believe that God will do that through me, what you're doing, you're giving him permission to perform what he intended to perform as long as he can get our agreement. So Brother Copeland gave this grand invitation to God to perform when he said, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it. Now, number one, as someone in Christ, God does the hard part. He's the one that performs the work. But we still have a role to play. As I said, number one, our role is faith. It invites God in, it permits him in. And we have to have faith words and faith thoughts. Now we know this. There's no faith in our mind. The faith of God that we possess is in our spirits. But our mind can be renewed to where it agrees with the faith in our spirit. And then we take on a faith, faith thoughts, and a faith way of thinking. So when we agree with God with our words, we also have to make sure our thoughts agree. And so we have to govern and control and guard our thought life. That we only think in terms of what God says. Because the accuser of the brethren is after that thought life, trying to talk you out of your. Of your movement with God. But you're going to have to carry faith thoughts. So, number one, our part as being in Christ is to have faith words, faith thoughts, because that opens the door to God to perform it. Number two, our part in Christ is to obey what he tells us to do. Brother Copeland could not have just said, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it, and then do nothing with that. What did he do? He just took the coins that he would collect throughout the day, and he would throw them in a box and he would just. Coins aren't enough. I mean, can you imagine how long it would take you simply with coins to accumulate $50,000? He wasn't trying to meet that command with coins. He was just making faith movements. He was giving God something to work with. That's what our actions of faith are. We're giving God something to work with. Faith is a movement. We have to. We have to put a movement in place that God can fill his ability with. Now, if you go and you sit in a car and you turn on the engine, if you don't put it in drive and you just sit there and turn that steering wheel, even though you have an engine, even though you have every component to have a car that's operating until you put that thing in drive, until you give it movement, that car's not going to go anywhere. And until we act in faith, God has nothing to direct. And so people many times are waiting for God to perform something. And he's waiting for us to make faith movements that he can feel with his power and his ability. You cannot steer a parked car, and God cannot steer parked faith. Faith is a movement. Faith does not get parked and make no movement, no activity. We have to give God something to work with. For example, if God ever spoke to you and said, I want you to start a business, then you're going to have to take a step to do something towards starting a business. And when you take a step, that doesn't even mean you have to financially spend something. I mean, you can just start writing out your vision. You can start calling by faith these things. You can take all kinds of different actions that don't put you in a difficult financial place. But God has to see movement because faith is a movement and God's got nothing to steer until it's moving. And so we have to, number one, use our faith because we're in Christ. But number two, we have to obey and make movement so the Holy Ghost will even guide us in what movement to make. There will be something that will seem right in your spirit to do so. For Brother Copeland, what seemed right in his spirit to obey was just take the coins that he collected throughout the day, put them in a box, and after a time when that box got full, he would. He would mail that money into Kenneth Hagin's ministry. He did that time after time, over a period of time, he had no idea how much he had sent in. And he called their office and said, do you have record of how much I've given? And they said, you have given well over $50,000. Now. Brother Copeland said, there's no way that just in the coins I sent that there was well over $50,000. But what happened? Brother Copeland took an action and God filled his action when with his miracle power, with his abundance, God made up the difference. So what is in Christ? We know this. As Jesus said, my Father in me, he does the works. So we, we are to say, my Father in me, he does the works. But that doesn't mean we do nothing. That means that we release our faith and we take steps of obedience of what the Spirit of God says. Now you'll remember what Jesus made note of, and he stated it publicly. He said, I only do what I see my Father do. I only say what I hear my Father say. So notice this. Jesus added his words to his Father's works, and he added his doing to his Father's works. So where did he hear and where did he see what the Father was going to do in his time of fellowship with his Father? No doubt the Word talks about that. Jesus had the habit of rising up early in the mornings and going to an alone place to pray and spend in time with fellowship with the Father. I want you to know that as we are making Our fellowship with God a priority in our life. It will be so easy for us to move as one in Christ. It'll be so easy to hear what he would say to us. It'd be so easy to act on what he shows us. So notice even though Jesus said, my Father in me, he does the works. Notice Jesus said, I only say what I hear my Father say. So notice Jesus knew my mouth is involved in this. And then he said, I only do what I see my Father do. So his mouth and his actions were directed by the Father. And in that, then, then God was the one who performed those words and those actions that Jesus took. So being in Christ does not mean sitting back and being inactive. We're active with our faith and we're active with our obedience. Can I tell you this? Faith manifests as obedience. So if we're going to say we're faith people, then that means we're going to have to obey what the Spirit of God leads us to do. We'll remember the passage. Remember the very first miracle that was worked under Jesus earthly ministry was at a wedding. Him and his disciples, along with others, were invited to a wedding. And I so appreciate the setting of this because you see the dynamic of a son and a mother together. And Mary, Jesus mother, was also at the wedding. And she comes up to Jesus at one portion of it and she says, they've run out of wine. And he said, well, woman, what have I got to do with it? In other words, I'm not the caterer. What are you talking to me about? And I so appreciate that she made it a very personal interest that the hosts of this wedding have everything that they need. And she came to Jesus and said, they have no more wine. And Jesus basically gave her an answer dismissing himself from having any role in this. But I love what Mary did next. She never said another word to Jesus, like, I'm done talking to you. And she turned to the servants and said, whatsoever he says to you, do it. So what did she do? She put a. She put a demand on Jesus to say something. Now, how did she know that what he said would have the result it had? Because Jesus wasn't just using his words that day to fulfill the will of God. She saw him his whole life that he would. He was only mindful to speak right words. So she knew whatever he says to you, that's what you're going to do. Notice those servants. That day, they were. Jesus told them, go fill up the water pots with water. Now, in researching it, those water pots, they Say, would be about 30 gallons. It would hold about 30 gallons of water. But can you imagine? Those clay pots are heavy to hold that amount of water. And somehow they had to haul that water. And so it was inconvenient. But notice this. God involved them in his working of a miracle. God never is going to leave you out of the miracle performed for you. He's always going to involve you. He's going to give you something to obey. Why? Because that's an action of your faith that gives him permission to work. He will not work apart from our obedience. Because in Christ, we move with Him. Now listen. That's what Acts chapter 17 and verse 28 says. In him we live, in him we move. And in him we have our being. Look at that second phrase. In him we move, he will direct the movements that we're to make. Why? Because he can only fill what he authors with his power. And so we need to hear from him what is he directing us to do? And as we make movement toward that, then he will meet that movement with his ability and his performance. Now, when Jesus gave a command to those servants, fill up the water pots with water. He did not tell them to do something they could not do. Everything he told them to do, they could do. God will never command that you do his part, but he will command you to do your part. When we do our part, God will always do his part. And so those servants, that day, they did what Jesus said. He said, fill the pots up with water. They did it. And then Jesus said, okay, take a dip and take this cup of water to the governor. And the servant had to carry that to the governor of the feast. And it had become wine. When did it become wine? We don't know. But we know this. When they received that miracle, man was not left out of that miracle. Man had a part to play. And so, because you're in Christ, God will direct your movements. And so we have to bring our faith, but we also have to bring our obedience. Because when we obey, we give God movement that he can fill with his own performance of power and his own ability. Because, as I said, when we do our part, God will always do his part. And so just know this, that when you're following what God is telling you to do, there's no risk in this life of faith. Because when we obey the Word, when we obey what God says, God will always meet our obedience with his power. When God told Brother Copeland, give that amount of money, and he did his part, God's part made up the difference. And so we see this that in Christ we can do things we could never do apart from Christ. And so it is our great honor to live as one in Christ. Amen. Well, we're going to be continuing along this line and we we don't want you to miss upcoming episodes. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode 836 | In Christ I Can, Part 76
Date: September 15, 2025
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her extensive teaching series on "In Christ I Can," delving into what it means to live, act, and believe as someone united with Christ. She emphasizes the importance of knowing your identity, inheritance, and authority in Christ, highlighting that faith and renewal of the mind are essential for operating in the supernatural life God intends. Through stories and scriptural principles, Nancy discusses how believers can move from limited natural thinking to divine possibility, with practical insights on faith, obedience, and partnership with God.
Nancy Dufresne calls listeners to recognize who they are in Christ, live from their reborn spirit, and consistently renew their minds to align with God’s truth. Through real-life testimonies and scriptural examples, she illustrates that faith is both a mindset and a movement, always requiring agreement and action. Obedience, even in small steps, unlocks the possibility of God’s power in every situation.
Final Encouragement:
“Just know this, that when you’re following what God is telling you to do, there’s no risk in this life of faith. Because when we obey the Word… God will always meet our obedience with His power.” (26:30)
