There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the Healer. And we are continuing on our series called In Christ I Can. Because everything that we'll need in this life is resident in Christ. And he and God put Christ in us. Us in Christ. And we are living large when we draw on the greater one that's on the inside of us. Amen. And so we've, we're. We're privileged to be able to teach this, this direction for quite a while now. We'll probably continue along this way because when we recognize that who we are in Christ and who Christ is in us, it brings us into the highest order of faith. You don't struggle to have faith when you understand who he is in you and what he wants to do for you and wants to do through you, and how many of you know he's in us, not just for our benefit, but for the benefit of those around us. Amen. And, you know, whenever I go out to minister in a service, many times before I walk out, I'll say, father, there's nothing in me for these people, but there's everything in the God in me for these people. Well, it's the same thing with you. When you're going to work, when you're conducting your daily life. There's nothing in your. In your human side that really is going to give you the kind of life that God planned for you. But on the inside of you is the greater one. And he will, he will lead you into everything that will give you the life that God planned for you. Amen. You know, it's something in First Timothy, chapter six and verse 17, First Timothy, chapter six and verse seventeen, it tells us this, that God gives us richly all things to enjoy. Look at that. God gives us richly all things to enjoy. That's the King James Translation and notice this. God is interested that we have enjoyment in this life. If God didn't want us to enjoy our life, why would he give us richly all things to enjoy? Well, I want you to know that God wants you to have everything that's important to you. He wants you to have everything that will bless your life. And can I say this? What he's planned for every single human will give us the absolute best life. Now think of it. Paul, the Apostle Paul, he started out against the plan of God. He started out against what God was doing in the earth. He was persecuting Christians consenting to their imprisonment and their death. But he had an encounter one day on the road to Damascus, and Jesus spoke to him. And from that day forward, his life turned and he became the one that God used to pin around half of the New Testament. Now think of this. We are feeding. Half of what we feed on in the New Testament came through one man, God in one man. And it's been over 2,000 years since Paul was alive and we're still being blessed by his obedience to the God that was in him. Now think of that. If one man over 2,000 years ago, let God flow, manifest, speak through him, and we're still being blessed by that today. What if every believer that's on the earth allowed God to move and manifest through them to full capacity how different this earth would look. Amen. Well, God wants to manifest for us, but he also wants to manifest through us for others. And it says this in 1st Timothy 6:17. God gives us richly all things to enjoy. God is not a hard taskmaster. He does not want you living with your nose down to the grindstone. You know, I pastored for 25 years and it was complete joy the whole time I did it, then some other pastor may listen to me say that and say, well, I don't know what you're talking about. It's been difficulty for me. Well, it doesn't have to be because I pastored by the Holy Ghost. I leaned on the greater one. Did difficult circumstances arise while I pastored? Sure they did. But the one who was in me was more than enough to meet that circumstance. So I never felt overwhelmed. I never felt like I don't know what to do about this. Because if I didn't know, I always knew I could turn to the one that was in me who did know. And I want you to know that he everything he's planned for your life, it contains enjoyment. He never formulated a part of his plan for your life and said Now I want you to have a measure of enjoyment, but I don't want you to enjoy this. It doesn't make sense because all God authored brings blessing. And so it says he gives us richly all things to enjoy. He wants you, if you enjoy it, God doesn't mind you having it as long as it's not in violation of his Word and it's not going to injure you or bring harm to you or to someone else. Amen. If it's going to elevate, you know, when God, when God makes known his plan to us, when God shows us something or brings us into more, it, it not only elevates us, but it elevates everything around us. So know this, if something is pushing you down, God's not involved in that. Why we shouldn't enjoy anything that pushes us down, puts us down, but that which elevates us and it's he wants us to enjoy every single aspect. I don't care if it's dealing with a difficult situation, the greater ones on the inside of you to do that, you have help and so you're never left to a struggling life. But when it says he's given us richly all things to enjoy, he wants you to have the home you enjoy. He wants you to have the profession you enjoy. He wants you to have the fellowship of others that you enjoy. He wants you to have things that you enjoy, you know, people will think and they'll imply, well, if you're spiritual, you shouldn't like things. Well, I like things. I mean, I wear things I like. I mean, I like things. You know, I like things and I enjoy it. I don't gain my self worth from it, but I enjoy having it. And many times when people are attaching their self worth to things, they're not going to end up enjoying that, not the way they should. But when your enjoyment is attached to who you are in Christ, then everything that comes to you can bless you because, and I'm talking about every good thing that comes because you're not attaching your self worth to a thing. I don't attach my self worth to a house or to a possession because I'm in Christ. And can I tell you this, A house is not near the value of who I am in Christ. The wealth of who I am in Christ is far surpasses any dollar amount of something. But even so, in this life, there are things that make life enjoyable and God wants us to have it. But if I could say this to you, the thing God wants for us as our Enjoyment most is Himself. He is my greatest enjoyment. He is my greatest delight. And I. I choose to make myself mindful of the one that I enjoy. And you can do the exact same thing. You don't have to earn his fellowship. He belongs to you. I want you to know that it was God's plan for you to belong to him, but it was also his plan that he belong to you. And we can. We can enjoy him as much as we'll partake of Him. It says over in the book of James, it says, draw nigh unto me and I'll draw nigh unto you. You know what that means? You can have as much of the fellowship of God as you want. Now, we know this. He's in us. The greater One is in us. But when James says, draw nigh to me, and I'll draw nigh to you, he's talking about fellowship there, because he's already in you. But if you'll turn toward that fellowship, if you'll turn toward him for fellowship, then you will sense you'll realize really how near he is. And I would say this, that we determine how much we enjoy God. He doesn't offer any more of Himself to one believer than he does to another. That it's all about how nigh we come to Him. And so we can have as much of his pleasure of his enjoyment of the. Of the fellowship of him as we choose to have. How do we choose to have enjoyment of Him? Acknowledging Him. We turn our attention toward Him. We think of Him. We spend time talking to him, listening to him, engaging with him, just like we would a loved one in the family. And so we can know him better than we know anyone else. And God. God is all Himself for our enjoyment. I want to read to you out of John, chapter 17. This has been one of my favorite passages for a long time. John, chapter 17. And if you want to hear the prayer life of Jesus, you can read this chapter. And you can see how Jesus prayed, because this was a prayer of His. And it's not long before his arrest that he's praying this. John 17:1. It says these words, spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, father, the hour is come. Now look at that. He said, the hour is come. What hour is he talking about? The hour when he is going to be offered up as a sacrifice. Jesus was born to die, and he knew that he was to be a sacrifice. But notice this, because he was in fellowship with His Father. He knew the times of his life. He knew the seasons of his life. He knew what each season held for him. And he said this. The hour is come. You can. You are to know what is approaching in your life. You are to know what God is wanting to bring you into. Listen, God doesn't want something to happen to that catches you off guard. Now what I mean by that, The Word says that he makes us the head and not the tail. What's that mean? That we're in front of situations, not behind them. God doesn't try to build drama into your life in a negative sense. Meaning he's not trying to drop something on you and it just startles you and stuns you. Oh, I didn't know that God wanted me to do this or God was telling me to do. He doesn't operate that way. He leads by peace and there's joy in his leading. He doesn't lead by drama. Jesus knew that he's coming to a very dramatic hour in his life. But he knows the seasons of his life because he knows his Father through fellowship. And so I want you to see this. Just as he was able to say, the hours come. You need to be able to know what seasons of your life you're in and what those seasons hold. So he said, father, the hour is come. Then look what verse one says, glorify thy son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. Now we find motive for everything Jesus did was to bring glory to the Father. Everything in this life is attached to a motive. Make sure your motive is right. What is your motive to be to glorify Him? I don't do things that are money motivated. I don't do things that push someone else down so that I can be advanced. I can't do that to the glory of God. But can I tell you this? You can do insignificant things that bring much glory to God. It's not the task that makes you important or gives you or gives value. It's how you do the task. You know, my husband, when he was born again, he was 25 years old when he first heard the gospel preached and he got saved by a co worker, invited him to church for a year and a half. My husband declined him. Every week that coworker invited my husband to church and. And he kept declining and this co worker just kept at it. And I would say this, don't give up on people because my husband declined for a year and a half. But one day he was in such a state that he needed to make a different choice in his life and he chose to go to work with his Co. Excuse me. To go to church with his co worker. And on a Sunday morning, for the first time, he heard the salvation message. And he was born again that night. On Sunday night, he went back to church and he said to the pastor, he said, you know, Pastor, for 25 years I've been living for the devil. But he said, now that I belong to Jesus, I want to do something for God. Is there something I can do for God? And listen to what the pastor said. He said, yes. He said, we don't have anyone in the church to clean the restrooms. And my husband said, that's my job. Do you know, it doesn't sound very significant. But it's not the task that makes us significant. It's how we do the task. And my husband, he started cleaning those restrooms. He did it for a long period of time. Then he was promoted to door greeter. Then he was promoted to be a leader in the church. And then God had him pastoring. Then he traveled the world. But I want you to say, I want you to see this. It didn't begin with world travel. It began with doing tasks that others didn't even want to take on. But know this. It's not the task that makes us honorable. It's the honor we bring to the task by how we do it. Do we do it to glorify God? So Jesus said this again in John 17, verse 1, he said, glorify thy Son. And this is the reason Jesus said that he was asking the Father to glorify him so that the Son also may glorify thee. So notice this. Always know your motive in Christ. It matters what your motive is. It cannot be self promotion. It cannot be so that you can feel good about yourself. Because if we're just going by what this world calls success, the world will step on others so that they can go higher. But when God promotes you, everyone is elevated. It is not pushing down one so that you can advance. So know this. The motive matters. And the motive of every believer should just be this, to bring glory to God. If it doesn't bring glory to God, I have no business doing it. The one in Christ is only interested in glorifying God, not in glorifying self. Now I will say this, this is for ministers, but this is also for anyone who may be in business. That as your success grows, as your influence grows, as you are given a larger voice, maybe in the body of Christ or in any field of endeavor, to keep pride from coming in, you have to spend time in fellowship with God. Because Fellowship with God helps keep pride out. What's that mean? It keeps your motive right. Don't feel like you have to have a leading role just so your self image is boost, is boosted. It is who you are in Christ that elevates you. And there is nothing else that's equal to belonging to Him. Him living in you. And your identity is who you are in Him. Anything else than that is going to pull you out of who you are in Him. And so Jesus was so clear on his motive. He said that you're going to glorify me for one reason, so that I can glorify my Father. And then it goes on. In verse two, Jesus prayed. He said, as thou has given him power over all flesh and that he should give eternal life to as many as thou has given him. So notice this. Jesus is saying, I am offering. I am going to be offering eternal life to every man. And that is to glorify God. There is not one man that Jesus did not die to make eternal life available for it's available to anyone, every man. For this is what Jesus said. You have given him power over all flesh. Not to make flesh, not to make men do something, but to offer them something. What is he offering? Himself. He's offering salvation. He's offering eternal life to them, every man. He offers it to them. And then notice this. Let me read verse two again. It says, as thou has given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. Verse 3. And this is life eternal. That they might know the the only true God and that they might know Jesus Christ, whom Thou has sent. Notice he says eternal life. It's knowing God. Eternal life is the life of God coming into someone because they came in union with God. When you join up to God, you just joined up to eternal life. And now you exchanged. You exchanged human life for divine life. That's what in Christ means. I moved out of me and I moved into him and everything he is is now available to me. This is eternal life. To know God, to know Jesus. Can I say this? This is eternal life. To know who you are in Christ, to know who he is in you. And in this place of fellowship with God, God is giving us the greatest thing that we could ever enjoy. It's Him Himself. I want you to know that many of us could look back and we could say this. We could remember before we were born again. And then the time we got born again, we can recognize. Wait a minute. I got born again because I wanted to know Him. I wanted Him. Well, I want you to know God has made Himself our reward and so we can know him as much as we choose to know of Him. And this is eternal life to know Him. So what does this mean? He is our greatest enjoyment. God is big on enjoyment. I mean, I don't want anyone who would work for me to not enjoy working for me. I don't want anyone to be a part of my home who didn't want to be in my home. I wouldn't want someone to come over and spend an evening with me if they didn't enjoy that. Well, God's the same way. He's big on enjoyment. He doesn't want you fulfilling a plan you don't enjoy. So what's this mean? We have to recognize what God offers me is full of enjoyment if I'll recognize the enjoyment in it. And too many times people think that they only enjoy what they come up with. Well, if you'll pay attention to what God's authored for your life, it's far greater than what you could ever author for yourself. And it's full of enjoyment just to obey God at night, to lay down your head when you go to bed and you go, I'm satisfied inside. Because you can go to bed having been top in your profession, having earned a lot of money, having accumulated a lot of things, but your insides aren't satisfied. Well, nothing, no home, no possessions, no car, no profession will ever supply the enjoyment that God Himself does. And that's where the satisfaction inside comes from. The greatest enjoyment God could ever give us Himself. And to lay down your head on a pillow at night and say, he is my great pleasure. He is my greatest desire. He is my greatest enjoyment that brings everything up into the realm of God, into a divine flow. And I tell you what, I don't want to work so much for him that I don't have time for Him. And you have to make sure that in this, in Christ life that I'm not so busy doing something for him that I ran right past him and the enjoyment of him. So if I could say this, remember this. You are not the Savior of the world. And God doesn't need you grinding your nose all the way down on the grindstone. That means he's not riding you hard every day so that you have no time to enjoy Him. He's always built into the plan, the enjoyment of him for your life. Don't just substitute the fellowship with him for working for him. And so this is, I choose. I always have time for him because he is my greatest enjoyment. And in Christ, I'm not going to be cheated out of that which Jesus purchased for me to have. Listen, Jesus said, as the Father loves me, he loves you. Well, I want to enjoy that flow of experiencing the fellowship of his love. Fellowship with God is one of the greatest flows that you can ever partake of because your fellowship with God is what waters every single arena of life. Can I tell you this? When you are enjoying your fellowship with God, enjoying who he is in you, obeying his plan, enjoying his plan, you're going to minimize marriage issues. You're going to minimize all kinds of issues in the other arenas because you'll be satisfied. How many times people seek a different marriage, a different job, a different house, a different location because they're trying to feel dissatisfaction with something out here. But when he is your greatest enjoyment, then nothing else dissatisfies you because you can't be dissatisfied when he's occupying his appropriate place in your heart, in your life, and in your attention, and in your affections. So notice this. All that belongs to us in Christ Our Father is the greatest. He is the greatest thing, the greatest one, the greatest foe that we could ever enjoy in this life. So how much enjoyment do you want? It's up to you. And the wonderful thing of it is, is that he never leaves us. He never forsakes us. So 24 hours a day that we are never away from the one we enjoy most. You know, there are times when I met and married my husband that he was, he was traveling in the street. Probably about 75% of our marriage, he was gone. And there were times that I missed that he was there. But the one I enjoyed most was never on the road. He was never traveling at that. My, I did not feel cheated because my husband was gone, because my heavenly Father was always there 24 hours a day to be enjoyed. And I didn't put pressure on my husband, stay home and offer me my, you know, my enjoyment. I, you know, it's hindering our home, hindering our marriage because you're gone. That's not true. Because God fills everything with Himself. And so my husband could obey God and I could enjoy that he was obeying God because I was enjoying God himself. So in Christ, the enjoyment of God is yours. So enjoy as much as you want because he never withholds any of himself from us. Amen. Well, we're going to continue this direction in upcoming episodes and we don't want you to miss it. And we also remind you, go back and watch any previous episodes you may have missed. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.
