There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today. For Jesus the healer. It is such a joy for us to be able to share this time with you and bring the Word to you. And we thank you for being hungry and loving the Word and honoring the Word, because, you know, really our lives are a picture of the Word that we're responding to. So if we want our lives to reflect more of what God has for us, all we have to do is respond to more of the Word. And so we honor the Word. You honor the Word. We love the Word. And how many of you know, we don't just appreciate the Word, we're doers of the Word. We do appreciate it, but it goes beyond appreciation. And we, we are doing the Word. And I would say this, in our everyday life, we're not waiting for church services to just hold fast to the Word, but it's the way we live every day. And when we are doers of the Word, it gives us the absolute best life. And so we're just so thrilled to be able to continue sharing with you, teaching the Word to you. And we are on a series that we're going to be continuing with, called In Christ I Can. And we're well over. We're about at 120 episodes or so now with this topic. And I don't know, I've just settled it. If we need to stay on it for a year or two, we'll stay on it for however long because there is so much that belongs to us because we belong to Christ. And it is our privilege to discover it. Because only the parts of God's Word and only the parts of our inheritance that we discover is the parts we'll enjoy. So the more we discover, the more we find out that belongs to us, the more we can really live the life God authored for us. And I want to say this, every one of us, we want to live as rich as we really are. And how many of you know that takes in more than just prosperity in your financial arena? It is the whole of our being. It is every facet of our life that God wants. Heaven in our home. And so we're just thankful that we're able to bring these messages to you because it's helping us to know who we are in Christ, who He is in us, what he will do for us and what he wants to do through us. And it's all dictated by our response to that, our response to who he is in us. And we need to, we need to continue to grow in our response to, you know, you think about it, that everything we enjoy of what God's made ours is a direct reflection of our response. Do you know that people, when they hear the gospel message preached for the first time, when they hear the salvation message preached, that it's, it's not going to benefit them unless they respond to it? We are, every single one of us are born again because of one reason. We responded to what God offered us. And so your salvation came because of your response to God's Word. Everything then that we receive from God is going to be in response to His Word and in response to the Holy Ghost, who only works in line with the Word. And so that's why we're discovering more and more of what belongs to us in Christ. Because the only part we can enjoy is the part we respond to. Although all has been made ours in Christ, that doesn't mean we're partaking of it until we find out what's made ours. And we, on purpose, we join our faith to what he has made our possession. Now listen, just because we're. We're possessors of everything that's in Christ doesn't mean we're partaking of what's ours in Christ. We want it to show up in our everyday life. We don't just want to expect his power to operate and benefit our lives in the emergency moments of life, but everyday life is to reflect the greater One is on the inside of us. Amen. And so that's why we're spending the time to discover who we are in Christ, because everything belongs to us in Christ. I want to read to you. And it's really been a golden text for us. It's in Colossians, chapter 2 and verse 6. The Living Bible translation says it this way. And now, just as you trusted Christ to save you, Trust him too for each day's problems. What's this mean? We're not to leave any of him out of our everyday life. And how many of you know that we don't just want to involve him when there's a problem on the horizon? You know none of our if you're a parent and you have children, you don't just want your children coming to you at the problem moments of their life. You want them to be an ongoing fellowship with you every single day and enjoying the fellowship of each other. Well, God's the same way. And we are in Christ every single day. We're not just in Christ when there's a crisis, when there's a test and trial that faces us, but in Christ is our position that we hold every single day. So let's trust him every single day for the Christ in us to manifest for us and through us. So again it reads in Colossians 2, verse 6, the Living Bible. And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust him too for each day's problems. Notice this faith is involved. To trust him is to have faith in Him. And just as we trusted or had faith for him to save us, we're still going to have faith on him to on faith to draw on him in the face of God everyday needs. And then it goes on and says, live in vital union with Him. Listen, he is vital. The life of God on the inside of us is vital to experiencing the life God authored for us. Now we have to trust that that life is in there and draw on the life of God that's on the inside of us so that his life will manifest in everyday situations and not just human struggle, not just our own human reasoning be in this. But rather we replace that by drawing on the life of God that's in us every single day. Verse 7 goes on and says this, Let your roots grow down into him and draw nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord. Well what's that mean to grow in the Lord? Well number one, grow in our understanding of who he is in us. Grow in our understanding of how he wants to work for us and through us. And not only that, grow in our understanding of how to respond to him and put him to work for us. And then it says, see that you go on growing in the Lord and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught. Let your lives overflow with joy and thanksgiving for all he has done. Look at verse 8. Don't let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies. They're wrong and shallow answers built on men's thoughts and ideas instead of on what Christ has said. Know this, that when we're taught what the Word says, who we are in Christ and who Christ is in us, then we. We don't owe it to someone to live differently than that. If they. If others don't know it, we want to help them to know it. But we're not going to just try to equal what others know. We're equaling what we're taught in the Word. We're holding to what we're taught. And we're laying down our own reasonings. We're laying down our own philosophies, our own natural way of thinking. But we're also resisting the input from others that would draw us back to the natural and draw us away from who we are in Christ. So he warns us about this. Don't let others influence you and pull you away from who you know that you are in Christ. Because God expects us to live in line with the light that we have of His Word. Amen. Then I want you to see verse nine. It says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. Now this is what I wanted us to get to. You have everything when you have Christ. Meaning this. We're not trying to talk God into giving us something. We're not trying to coerce him into something. Everything you need for your life, everything you need to fulfill the plan of God for your life, God put in Christ. And then he put Christ in you and you in Christ. So everything that you're going to need to fulfill his best is readily available to us. That we just learn how to put him to work for us. How do we do that? By responding to him. By obeying what he tells us to do in His Word and obeying how he's leading us by His Spirit. Now, notice the last phrase of verse 10 in Colossians 2, verse 10. It says, he is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. Now that's who's in you. What's that mean? Every other power is a lesser power. We are the power of the one who is in us is greater than anything or any. Anyone or any test we're going to face. We're already equipped with great power, greater ability in the face of opposition. Know this. That means every other power is a Lesser power, the power of sickness, the power of fear, the power of lack, the power of depression, the power of anxiety. All these things that rob from us, they are a lesser power. Anything that flows from the enemy and the kingdom of darkness is far lesser than the power of God that resides in us and that is working for us. Amen. We have to always keep in mind that the greater One is in us. Everything that's in us is far greater than everything that would be against us. So we have to keep our minds renewed to the truth of that. That he is the highest ruler, with authority over every other power. And he has faith, filled us with that same authority. Now, I want us to go to Ephesians chapter one, and I want us to start with verse 20. And I'm going to start right in the middle because I don't want to read all the previous verses because there's so much that could be said. And I start reading it and I start teaching on it. So I'm trying to streamline what I teach on in this episode. But Ephesians chapter 1, in verse 20, Paul was writing and he made this statement right before just the second half of verse 20, it says that God raised Christ from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. So what's that mean? Resurrection power raised Jesus from the dead. Resurrection power raised him past opposition. And here in verse 20, it says that it set him at God's own right hand in heavenly places. How many of you know that there's no demon powers up there. There's no opposition up there. That's where Christ is seated. Now notice that he's seated. Why is that? Because his work is completed. He has finished his assignment. He has finished what he was born to do. And so now he's seated as a sign to say it is complete. All that you ever need in this life. I have finished it and completed it for you. Now look at verse 20. Well, let me read that right before verse 21 again. That God raised Christ from the dead and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places. Look at this. Far above all principality, far above all power, far above all might, far above all dominion, and far above every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. So notice this. This is exactly what Paul writes in Colossians 2, that God is the greatest power, he is the ruler over. That there is nothing that is a close second to the power of God. That in you is a far superior power than any Any power that would try to work against you. So what we have to do is renew our minds to everything that comes against us is subservient, it is secondary and it is far below any other power, the power of God. So notice this, when verse 21 says far above, it doesn't mean barely above. It doesn't mean that. That God is. That it's a close second between Jesus and the devil. I mean, when Jesus defeated Satan, it was not a hard struggle in the sense of it was not a close second, that he was raised far above. Why? Because the power of God is far superior to the power of opposition. Anything that opposes you, you need to think of it, talk about it as a far lesser power. And not only that, it's a defeated power, it is a defeated foe. So know this. Sickness is a defeated foe. Lack is a defeated foe. Depression, anxiety, fear, all of these things that come out of the kingdom of darkness, they have already been defeated. They are so far beneath the power of God that belongs to us and is working for us. Now let's go on reading. In verse 22 it says. Well, let me read verse 21. It's just too good. It says that he was raised far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. Listen, when Jesus was for three days in the heart of the earth, is what the Word says, that where was it? He was down in hell and he was paying the price for humanity. That at his raising, when the power of God raised him from the dead, that everything principality, power, might and dominion, those those levels of demon powers listed in verse 21, Ephesians 1, verse 21, they all opposed his Ra, all at once. Principalities, powers, mights and dominion tried to withstand him being raised, and they were no equal match. He was raised far above them because they all tried to stop his raising and they were no worthy opponent. So notice that's the power that's for you, that will raise you past every principality, every power, every might, every dominion, that none are a worthy opponent to the power of God that's working in you. Because you're in Christ and Christ is in you. Look at this in verse 22 and it says, and that same resurrection power had put all things under his feet and gave him to be the head over all things to the church which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. Now look just a few verses down at Ephesians, chapter 2, verse 4. It says, But God, who is rich in mercy for his great love, wherewith he loved us even when we were dead in sins he hath quickened us together with Christ. What's that mean? He made us alive. That when he raised Christ, we were raised with him. So we have been raised and seated with Christ. What's that mean? We too are far above all principality, all power, all might dominion. We are far above him, above them because we are one with Christ. We are seated with him. It's a shared seat of authority. Amen. Because where the head sits, the body also sits. It's not a bunch of little thrones lined up down the row next to Jesus. We are in the same seat that he occupies, the seat of authority, the seat of dominion and that operates here in this earth, that we don't have to wait till we go there to experience the authority of that seat that we occupy with Him. So what's that mean for us in Christ? It means that Jesus has made us master over our enemy. Jesus mastered Satan, defeated him, was raised far above him. So therefore we too have been made masters, not because of what we've done, but because of what he did. So we are not out fighting the devil. You've got to lose this thinking that I'm fighting the devil. No, I'm not fighting the devil. I'm raised far above him. I'm raised along with you. Jesus is not fighting the devil and I'm not fighting the devil. I am fighting the good fight of faith. That is not a fight with the devil. The good fight of faith means to be unswayed from our place that we've been raised to. That's the good fight of faith. And we fight it with words. When the opposition comes, we speak. I've been raised far above principalities, powers, might and dominion. Those are levels of demon powers. Those are rankings of devils that we have been raised far above them. Listen, not barely above. We're not barely above sickness, we're not barely above lack. We have been raised far above it. What's that mean? Outside the reach. That if we will know who we are in Christ, we no longer yield and entertain and treat the enemy as a worthy opponent. Jesus defeated him utterly and destroyed him. Now all he has left is the power of suggestion, the power to talk and try to persuade, persuade us and sway us out of who we are in Christ. But once we realize in Christ, I'm far above this, then you start treating it that way and you stop being intimidated by anything that opposes you and tries to trouble Your life. So Jesus has made us master over the enemy because we share in his seat of authority. We're not master over the enemy because we defeated the devil. We defeated the devil in Christ. That when Christ defeated the devil, Jesus did that for us. We were in Christ and he was defeating the devil. Therefore, we're authorized to say that the devil is defeated in our life because Christ did it. We're not trying to get victory, and I'm not trying to get on the other side of opposition. I'm already through. I said I'm already through. I'm not trying to break through. I have broken through because I've been raised in far above all this opposition and circumstances. Try to come and try to talk to us that we've got to get past this and we've got to get victory over this. I've already been given victory over all of it. I've been raised. You've been raised and seated with Christ. So why is it that people will struggle with things? Because they don't see themselves on the other side of it. They don't see themselves far above it. They think that they have to work to get past opposition. The devil is a defeated foe. In every encounter with him, always think of him, speak of him, and treat him as a defeated foe, not as one that you have to overcome or that you have to fight. You're not able to fight him. That's why Jesus came and defeated him in our behalf. Jesus did not defeat him for his own sake because Jesus was not held master by the devil. Jesus already had victory. He came and defeated him for our sake. I'm not fighting him again. You're not fighting the devil again. We are enforcing our place that we have been raised and seated at. We are far above. When symptoms come, don't try to break through symptoms say, I am seated far above this. I am not a. I'm not subject to this because this doesn't belong to the seat that I've been raised to. Amen. So the renewed mind talks about how far above we are, and therefore we are inaccessible to these things. These things cannot live with us, and we forbid them to live with us. And you say, pastor Nancy, how can I say that I master over these things if they're troubling my life? Because when we don't know that we're master, we go to a lower level in our thinking and in our dealings. And the level we think at is the level we'll operate at. So I'm trying to say we have been raised. We have to see ourselves raised and seated far above opposition. I'm not trying to get past them, I'm already above them. And so I demand that my seat of authority show its victory in the face of opposition. When something comes and tries to trouble the body, I say, no, you don't, because I'm far above this. No, you don't, because I am not accessible to you. I'm not taking that, that doesn't belong to me. You're going to go have to fight. Put that on somebody who doesn't know what I know. Now see, when you know something, you refuse to permit things. It's when people don't know it that they accept what they are already seated far above. Now that's not. That doesn't fit us when we're seated far above it. But we're living with things that we are far above that doesn't suit us. That doesn't suit the new creature in Christ. That doesn't suit who we are in Christ. No wonder we're troubled, because we're living far beneath what Jesus has raised us to. So just because Jesus has raised us to that, it doesn't mean it goes into automatic operation. We have to add our faith and say, I'm not living low. I'm not living on the low level of sickness and disease. I'm not living on the low level of depression. I'm not living at the low place of lack. I have been raised and seated far above this. You say, well, Pastor Nancy, I see that that's true in the Word, but that's not my experience. You have to start saying it. You have to build that truth in you. What do I mean by that? As you say about you, what the Word says about you, you're sowing a seed, seed in you. And when you sow that seed, you have to water that and it will produce a harvest. Many are trying to produce a harvest on these truths when they haven't sown the seed of the Word in their heart. So they hear it once and they go, well, that's not showing up for me. Well, you just keep sowing that seed. You keep saying, I'm far above all principality, power, might, dominion. I'm far above opposition. I'm raised and seated far above symptoms. I'm raised and seated far above lack. I'm raised and seated far above depression and fear and troubling of the mind. You keep saying that. And what are you doing? You're sowing the seed of the Word in you. And if you will keep watering it by keep saying it. One day you'll see first the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear and you will see the truth of what belongs to you in Christ play out in your daily life. Because we have been raised to rule and reign. We have not been raised to struggle in this life. Struggle is wrong for the believer. Did you hear me? Struggle is wrong for the believer to struggle with anything spiritually, mentally, physically, materially. Because Jesus never struggled with things of this world. He dominated. He ruled and reigned. And then he raised us to the same place where he rules and reigns from and says, you can live a struggle free life. Now don't misunderstand me. That doesn't mean there won't be opposition, but we won't struggle in the face of that opposition. We will sail over it whenever we think, right? And if you think I've got to really work to break through this, to break, Jesus already broke us through. That's what I'm trying to tell you. He already broke us through. I'm not trying to break through. Breakthrough I am standing in the place of victory that's far above and you are too. You are far above and I'm already through. I said I'm already through. You're already through and you say, well it doesn't feel like it. That's because you've got to sow the seed of this in your heart so it will produce a harvest in your life. Because that's your inheritance in Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time because we're going to continue along these lines. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode: 881 | In Christ I Can, Part 121
Date: November 17, 2025
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
This episode continues Nancy Dufresne’s long-running teaching series "In Christ I Can." The main theme is the believer’s authority, inheritance, and position “in Christ”—emphasizing not just knowing what belongs to the Christian, but actively responding to and living out that reality. Dufresne unpacks key New Testament scriptures to show that all Christians, by virtue of their union with Christ, are raised and seated far above all forms of opposition, from spiritual forces to life’s daily challenges. The message is faith-filled and practical, focused on renewing the mind and enforcing spiritual victory in everyday life.
"Say, I receive that power. I receive it right now." (00:38)
“Everything we enjoy of what God’s made ours is a direct reflection of our response.” (03:42-03:46)
“He is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. Now that’s who’s in you. What’s that mean? Every other power is a lesser power.” (11:45)
“When Jesus defeated Satan, it was not a hard struggle ... He was raised far above them because they all tried to stop his raising and they were no worthy opponent.” (17:44)
“Many are trying to produce a harvest on these truths when they haven’t sown the seed of the Word in their heart.” (25:40)
The episode methodically builds a faith case:
