Thank you to Kenneth Copeland Ministries for sowing the airtime for this broadcast.
There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.
I receive it right now.
From the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet.
The soles of my feet.
Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. And we're going to continue along the series that we've been on called In Christ. I Can and I tell you what, we are so loaded with all the best of heaven, all the blessings of heaven, and it's such a joy to discover what all it means to be in Christ and to have Christ in us for us to be in him and what he can do for us and through us. And so we're just going to continue along the lines that we've been on. We've been reading out of Ephesians chapter one. I want to just go back to some previous scriptures that we've referred to to just real briefly so that we can move ahead. In Ephesians chapter 1, in verse 20, the King James translation, and I'm just in the second half of verse 20, it says that God raised Christ from the dead and set him at his own right hand in heavenly places. But look at verse 21. Far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and far above every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that world which is to come. And then in Ephesians, verse 2, chapter 2, and verse 4 says that he has also quickened us together with Christ. He's made us alive with Christ, that he raised us up together with Christ. So notice this. We too are far above all principality, all power, all might and dominion. What's that mean? Those are levels of demon powers that have no, they have no, they had no sway over us. We are to walk in our utter, complete victory. And we're not fighting the devil. We are maintaining the victory that Jesus won for us. We're enforcing that victory and we're refusing to be swayed by the enemy off of our victory. Know this. The number One thing the devil tries to do is he tries to sway you off of your victory by thinking that you have to fight him and overcome. You do not have to fight him. You are fighting the good fight of faith. You're not fighting the devil. You're fighting the good fight of faith, which is a fight of words. You're holding to the word of God and says, jesus has already defeated you, Satan, and he has already overcome you. And I'm standing in my victory. I refuse to be swayed off of the word. When the devil says that you're going to lose your home, I refuse to be swayed by that because no weapon formed against me will prosper. When he says that your life is going to be shortened. My God has already supplied all my needs. And look at this, my need of health too, my need of long life. He has already paid the price for me to have victory in every arena. And I refuse to be swayed by any strategy or any counter thoughts that the devil would try to bring. And then I want us to look. We had looked real quickly at first John, chapter four. In verse four, the amplified classic translation says, little children, you are of God, you belong to him, and have already defeated and overcome them the agents of the Antichrist. Because he who lives in you is greater and mightier than he who is in the world. Know this. We're to focus on the greater one. And we are to completely overlook the defeated one, the lesser one. Why? Because he's already been defeated. And all we do is we hold him in his place of defeat by us keeping on walking in our place of victory. But look at the wording again. It says, you have already defeated and overcome them. What's this mean? I'm not trying to win. I'm not trying to fight the devil. I'm not trying to break through. I don't. I'm already through. Jesus put me all the way through. And I think in those terms. I speak in those terms. And therefore that's what manifests in my life. If you think you've got to struggle and fight to get all the way through, then that's exactly what your life will look like. But if you will realize, Jesus already put me all the way through. He's already been. He's already put me far above all principality, power, might and dominion. That's through, baby. That's not trying to get through. You're already through. And so we just have to hold fast to what Jesus has already made ours. Now I'm going to read First John chapter 4 and verse 4 out of the living Bible, it says, you belong to God and have already won your fight. Look at that. Jesus won the fight for us and we're holding fast to. This is a fight that has already been won. And I don't have to fight the devil. I am enforcing his utter defeat. And then we see this we had looked at in the previous episode that Jesus said to the disciples, behold, I give you power or authority to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you. What? When you're exercising your authority, you are to really that the devil cannot hold you back from advancement. The word tread on means to step over and keep going. So when the devil shows up, we don't stop and get impressed and stop with our progress and stop, become occupied with him. No, we just keep doing what God told us to do. If you'll remember this over there in Mark 11:12, it talks about how Jesus and the disciples, and they were on their journey to Jerusalem, and Jesus was hungry and he went up to a fig tree to get figs off of it, and there was no figs there. It was displaying leaves but no fruit. So it looked like it was acting like or displaying that it was producing something that it wasn't. If the leaves are there, the figs should have been there. And Jesus really used this tree as an illustration of how faith worked. And he said, no man eat fruit of thee hereafter. And then notice this. It says the disciples heard him, but he just walked off and he kept going on the way to Jerusalem. Once he spoke to that tree to die, he didn't just sit there and watch. Did it work? Did it work? No. He stepped over that and kept going. I want you to know, when you. When you're dealing with opposition, answer it, step over it and keep going. Don't stand there and say, well, did it work? Did things change? Did. Did the pain leave? Did the symptoms leave? Ignore that. Just keep going. Remember what he told the 10 lepers who cried out for healing. They said, jesus, have mercy on us. And he said this. Go show yourself to the priest, it said. And as they went, they were healed. What was it? As they just moved on in the plan of God. Because until that time, they were. They were held out of society. They weren't advancing in this life at all. They were isolated. They were separated from that which they loved and those who loved them. They're living apart from the rest of society. Nothing of their life was advancing. Everything had come to a Hard stop and notice what Jesus did, notice what the healer did, notice what recovery did it put him back on the path of living your life. And that's what the devil wants to stop. He wants to stop the plan of God from advancing in your life. But Jesus said, just. Just tread on serpents. Just step over them and keep going. Don't stop the plan of God for anything, for any opposition that shows up. But know this, devils are subject to us. And I want you to know this. So many times Christians are afraid of the devil. They're afraid of sickness, they're afraid of opposition, they're afraid of tests and trials, they're afraid of lack, they're afraid of depression. And they're afraid of something that of beings that Jesus has already defeated. Know this. When you have the name of Jesus and you are in Christ and you understand who he is in you. And you're a carrier of the anointing, devils are afraid of you. You're not to be afraid of them. You are to hold them in their place that they are defeated. And you will exercise whatever anointing that's in your life necessary to, to make sure that none of their yolks ever get on you. Why? Because the anointing destroys the yoke. And the devil is afraid of the anointing because the anointing destroys his yoke. And you can think back over your life of something. Maybe you were. If you've ever been in a car accident and a car was destroyed, you didn't enjoy that event. Well, no devil enjoys something when he's being destroyed. Either he's afraid, afraid of the anointing. Demons are afraid of the anointing and they want to back you down off of operating and flowing with that anointing that's in you. And the anointing of God that's on the word. Because the devil is afraid of the anointing. I want to, I want to remind you, never be afraid of anything the devil produces. Don't be afraid of evil curses and of witchcraft and all this mess that people get frightened by because you are far above all of that mess. Don't give any credibility to it because Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. There is no curse that can land on us because the blessing has already landed on us. And the blessing upon us will not allow a curse to take hold of us. But you've got to give put your faith on the blessing and not put your faith on a curse. Quit being impressed by the talk of the devil. Quit Being impressed by the things that the devil would try to launch against you. There was a man by the name of Dr. Lester Sumrall. I mean, he was an apostle to the world. And what a man of raw faith that he was. He went all over the world. God sent him to every region of the world. And he talked about how one time a witch doctor, he had landed in a certain country and he came to a certain region to preach. And a witch doctor got up in his face and started preaching, you know, working this chant or something against him. And Dr. Sumrall just looked at him because he was telling him, you know, you're going to die. I put a curse on you. And Dr. Sumrall said, well, none of that will work on me because I don't believe it. And he said, but because you believe what you say, he said, double back on you. And this witch doctor ran off screaming as in terror. Why? Because he believed in his curses. But Dr. Sumrall didn't believe in him, so they couldn't land on him. And if you will recognize, nothing of the devil can land on you unless you believe it, unless you accept it. So don't be afraid of any devils. Devils are to be afraid of you because of who you belong to, who's in you. And you are a carrier of the anointing of God. I want us to look at Deuteronomy, chapter 28, verse 13. We'll start with that. And I'm going to read out of the king James translation, Deuteronomy 28:13. It reads, and the lord shall make thee the head and not the tail. And thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath. Notice this. You are never to be under something. You're always to be over A situation, a circumstance is not to be sitting on you. You're to be ruling and reigning over those situations. Why? Because you've been raised and seated with Christ far ab all principality, power, might and dominion. I like what it says. And the lord shall make thee the head and not the tail. Well, when you think of an animal here, an animal has a head, then an animal has a tail. And if that animal was to walk into a room, what comes in first? The head, not the tail. The tail is the last thing in the room. God puts you in front of situations, not behind. The head means it's in front. The tail means it's behind. We are not behind the devil being the cleanup crew for him, wrecking, wreaking havoc in our lives. We're in front of Situations and listen. If we will learn to hear the word and hear the Holy Spirit, he will warn us and keep us in front of things, that things are not to catch us off guard. I mean, whenever something is trying to get out of place, the devil, God will warn me by the Holy Ghost, so that nothing catches me off guard. And what can I do then? I can fortify. I can. I can be prepared for what the devil is trying to. To work against me, and I can take my stand against it. Or sometimes it can be aborted altogether. But God will prepare us by forewarning us. And so that's called being the head and not the tail. It is not my job to let the devil just go in and. And wreak havoc in my home and my finances and my health. And then me go and be his cleanup crew and grow from crisis to crisis to crisis. If you're living from crisis to crisis to crisis, God offers you a different position. It's called being the head, not being the tail. The life of the believer is not one of ongoing tragedy, ongoing difficulty, ongoing struggling that's doing it wrong. God offers us more. He makes us the head and not the tail. I'm not the last one to know. God keeps me in front of situations. And we are to be in that head position. The head and not the tail. Thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath. What's that mean? No such thing as valley days in the life of the believer. People say, well, you're going to have mountaintop days and valley days. Maybe you can tell me what scripture you're referring to on that, because I don't find any. I see here, thou shalt be above only, not beneath. That means you're on top, you're not under it. Well, I know what people mean when they say that there are valley day circumstances that come, but I don't go into the valley. I don't let those circumstances push me down. I stay right on top of that. I still have opposition that comes, but I don't get under the opposition. I don't let that thing sit on me and push me around. I stay above it and I rule and reign over that until that thing just realizes that its strategy won't work and it will leave. Amen. So we see this. Let's read again. In Deuteronomy, chapter 28, verse 13, it says, and the Lord shall make thee the head and not the tail. And thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath. Now listen, you're going to have to listen to the Lord, though, you're going to have to learn to hear the leading of the Spirit because He'll tell you things to keep you in front of situations. And then it says, if thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, look at this. If thou hearken so, there's conditions to staying the head and not the tail. There's conditions to staying above and not beneath. And that is that we have to listen to what he commands of our lives. We have to hear what he says and obey Him. Amen. So it says again, if thou. If that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day to observe and to do them. So the doer of the Word is the one who's the head. The doer of the Word is the one who stays above situations. If they're not going to listen to the Word and not going to do the Word, then they're going to move from being the head to the tail. They're going to move from being above to beneath. But I'm not going to be beneath. You don't need to be beneath. We don't need to be the tail. We need to be in front of situations, not behind situations. How does that happen? We hear what God says and we obey it. Now, verse 14 says, and thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day to the right hand or to the left, or to go after other gods to serve them. So he's saying this, if you'll hold me in my proper place, if you'll seek first the kingdom of God. This is what the Word tells us. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. What's that mean? We hold God first and foremost, and what he says is the priority of our life. Then I want us to look at James chapter four. James chapter four and verse seven. And this is the King James translation. It says, submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Notice this. There's a divine order here. The Word does not say, resist the devil and he will flee. The Word says, submit yourselves to God. Then submit. Then resist the devil and he will flee. What's this mean? We have to hear what's God telling us to do? What's God leading us to do? What's God saying to us? And then we, when we obey what he's saying to us, we're submitting to that. We're agreeing with God and what he's telling us to do, then when we resist the devil, he will flee. But if people try to resist the devil without obedience to God, that's going to compromise their authority. Their authority won't work for them as it ought. We can't live in violation of what God's Word says and think that our authority will work for us. Listen, we are to rule and reign over devils. But that's from a place of agreeing with God, agreeing with His Word and living in line with His Word. If people are going to live, they're not going to meet the standard of the Word. They're going to live any way they want to live, think anything they want to think, go anywhere they want to go without any regard to God, then the devil will be able to dominate them. But when someone is living in line with what God has commanded of their life, they can know this. No devil can hold me back. No devil can work his plan successfully against my life. So our safety is submitting to God. What's that mean? Submission is not a word that a lot of people like, but submission is a word of safety. Submission means this willing to be led. And I want you to know I am willing for God to lead me. I'm willing for His Word to lead me. He does not have to. I don't want God to have to deal with me and deal with me and deal with me before I obey Him. I quick, prompt obedience is what moves in to great blessing. That when he tells us to do something and we quickly agree, that's called I'm willing to be led. I'm not going to be bullheaded. I'm not going to be hard headed. And sometimes people will, they will obey if it's explained to them why they need to do it. But that's not, that's not obedience, that's being bullheaded. You know, if God just says do this, I don't have to say, why do I have to do that? Because that's not a submissive heart. If God says it, there's a reason. And I want you to know God is always right. Now let me give you an illustration of that. My husband and I had, we lived in a home that we had bought in California and we moved out here in California in 1991. And after a couple of years of being there in California, we bought our first home in California. We had previous homes, but there in California that was the first one. And we were in it for several years and God spoke to my husband and I and Said, I have another home for you. It wasn't till eight years later that that other home showed up. And why did it take eight years? Because God was growing our faith. We were developing, we were learning. And so eight years later, we found that home and we were able to buy this lovely home. And I thought it could be the home we would just live in the rest of our lives. And it was one where your joy is full. You know what kind of home God wants you to have? One where your joy is full. So whatever suits you and whatever, wherever your joy is full, that's what God wants you to have. If the home isn't enough for your family, it's too small and it's not accommodating your needs, and your joy is not full there, well, you're authorized to believe God for a home where your joy is full. And so we had bought this lovely home, and it was on some acreage, and I thought we could be there for the rest of our lives. Our joy was full there. But here, it had taken eight years before we got into that home. But after four years of living in that home, God began dealing with me about sell the home. And I could not understand it. It did not make any sense of why God was dealing with us about sell the home. Now you say, did God deal with you and not your husband about it? And, well, I found out this when I was younger in ministry and younger in my Christian walk. God would lead us on the homes we bought through my husband. But later he began to talk to me about the homes. Why? Because the wife, that's her domain is that home. And so God began dealing with me about the home to buy. In fact, he's the one that showed me that home. And my husband said this to me, and it bless you to know this. He said, honey, he said, if you want that home, I agree with you. I believe that God is leading us to that home. But he says, I have my faith on some other projects with the ministry. There were other buildings we were building. He says, I've got my faith on these buildings, and if I put my faith on that home, it's going to stretch my faith too thin. He said, if you want that, that home, you put your faith on it and I'll agree with it and we can have that home. So because that was a project that he had let my faith take the lead on, then God talked to me about that home that we found. But then God also talked to me about, I want you to sell the home. Well, I went to my husband. And I said, am I hearing right? Because it seems like God is dealing with me about us selling the home. And he said, well, God didn't talk to me about it, but he said that bears witness with me. So know this. In a marriage, if someone is. Is taking the lead with their faith on a project, it should still bear witness with the other one. Even though if God's not talking as directly or specifically to both, he may just be talking to one. So in that situation, because Ed had told me, I want your faith to take the lead on this, that God talked to me about the sale of that home. So I tell you, it was. It was a bit of a struggle for me because the devil was. It didn't make sense to my mind, and the devil was taking advantage of what I didn't understand to try to hold me back from making that move of selling the home. So I said to God, I said, God, I'm going to pray in the spirit until I get. Until I get clarity. I said, I have peace in my spirit, but my mind's given me fits. And God said to me, he said, he said, if you have peace in your spirit, even though your mind is giving you trouble, he said, the peace is the clarity you need. You don't need to keep praying to me for follow peace. So I did. I said, well, I don't understand why in my mind I'm to sell it, but in my spirit, I have peace about it. So we sold the home. And about a short time later, also we found the next home and we bought. It was a smaller home. It was a home that really. It was every bit as lovely and my joy was as full there, but it didn't have all the property with it. And then one day, just about six months later, my children came to my house and said, mom, dad's plane went down today. And God spoke to me and he said, that's why I wanted you to sell the larger home. Because he said, I knew this event was coming and I didn't want you held responsible financially for that larger home. And he said, so I gave you a home that would suit you during this season of your life. You see God, when he doesn't tell us something, it's not because he's trying to withhold. Sometimes we're not in the place to hear because it's not time for us to hear some things. So just trust God. Submit to him, even though you don't understand, Submit to him, because I guarantee you this. Everything he leads you to do is for your good. He's never trying to get something out of you. He's always trying to lead you into more. So know this. Submit yourselves to God. And then when you're obeying God and the devil tries to oppose while you're in submission to God, while you're carrying out what God's instructed you do, the devil will oppose. But the Bible says submit to God, Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Know this. Everything God is leading you to do, the devil's going to oppose. But you have authority over him and all you have to do is say, devil, I resist you you because I'm obeying God in the way of obedience and he will flee from you. Amen. Well, we've got so much more to teach on along this line and you don't want to miss upcoming episodes. And until then, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Title: In Christ I Can, Part 125
Release Date: November 21, 2025
Host: Nancy Dufresne, Dufresne Ministries
In this episode of “Jesus the Healer,” Nancy Dufresne continues her multi-part series “In Christ I Can,” focusing on the believer's position of victory in Christ, the authority granted over the devil, and practical faith in everyday life. Drawing from scriptures such as Ephesians 1–2, 1 John 4, Deuteronomy 28, and James 4, Nancy emphasizes that Christians are not striving for victory—they already possess it through Christ. She blends in personal testimony, scriptural teaching, and practical application to encourage listeners to walk in their God-given authority, resist fear and the devil, and maintain a lifestyle of submission to God.
“I receive that power. I receive it right now, from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.” (00:41-00:46)
Scripture Focus: Ephesians 1:20-21, Ephesians 2:4—Believers are “raised up together with Christ,” positioned far above all demonic power (02:16-03:08).
Key Insight:
“We are not fighting the devil. We are maintaining the victory that Jesus won for us. We're enforcing that victory and refusing to be swayed by the enemy off our victory.” (03:20)
Practical Outworking: The “fight” believers are called to is the “good fight of faith”—standing firm on God’s promises, not direct combat with the devil.
“I'm not trying to win. I'm not trying to fight the devil. I'm not trying to break through. I don't. I'm already through. Jesus put me all the way through…If you think you've got to struggle and fight...that's exactly what your life will look like. But…you’re already through.” (06:09-07:09)
Authority Given: Jesus gave power over “serpents and scorpions…over all the power of the enemy” (Luke 10:19 referenced) (09:47).
Application: When facing opposition, respond with faith, then “step over it and keep going.”
“When you’re dealing with opposition, answer it, step over it and keep going. Don’t stand there and say, 'Did it work?'...Ignore that. Just keep going.” (10:13)
Biblical Examples:
Key Principle:
“So many times Christians are afraid of the devil...They are afraid of beings that Jesus has already defeated...When you have the name of Jesus and you are in Christ...devils are afraid of you. You’re not to be afraid of them.” (13:18-14:20)
The Anointing: Dufresne stresses the anointing destroys the devil’s yoke and that Christians are “carriers of the anointing” (15:05).
Memorable Illustration:
Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:13—“The Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail” (20:12).
Application:
“You are never to be under something. You’re always to be over a situation...You are to be ruling and reigning over those situations.” (20:30)
No “Valley Days”:
“No such thing as valley days in the life of the believer...I see here, thou shalt be above only, not beneath. That means you're on top, you're not under it.” (22:13)
Prerequisite: Remaining “the head” depends on hearing and doing God’s Word (23:10).
“Submission means this: willing to be led. And I want you to know I am willing for God to lead me. I'm willing for His Word to lead me. He does not have to...deal with me before I obey Him. I quick, prompt obedience is what moves into great blessing.” (25:10)
“If you have peace in your spirit, even though your mind is giving you trouble…peace is the clarity you need.” (26:44)
On the Real Fight:
“You’re fighting the good fight of faith, which is a fight of words. You’re holding to the word of God and says, jesus has already defeated you, Satan...I refuse to be swayed off of the word.” — Nancy Dufresne [04:12]
On the Believer’s Place:
“The number one thing the devil tries to do is he tries to sway you off your victory by thinking that you have to fight him and overcome. You do not have to fight him.” — Nancy Dufresne [03:20]
On Authority:
“When the devil shows up, we don’t stop and get impressed…No, we just keep doing what God told us to do.” — Nancy Dufresne [09:49]
On Demonic Fear:
“Devils are to be afraid of you because of who you belong to, who’s in you. And you are a carrier of the anointing of God.” — Nancy Dufresne [16:53]
On Obedience:
“Quick, prompt obedience is what moves into great blessing.” — Nancy Dufresne [25:15]
Personal Revelation:
“Everything He leads you to do is for your good. He’s never trying to get something out of you. He’s always trying to lead you into more.” — Nancy Dufresne [27:17]
To Walk in the Victory “In Christ”:
Nancy Dufresne powerfully reminds believers that through Christ, they can confidently face opposition, refuse fear, and expect God’s best by staying submitted and obedient. The key is not to struggle for victory, but to maintain and enforce the victory already accomplished by Jesus. Listeners are encouraged to “be the head and not the tail,” live above only and never beneath, and trust God’s Spirit to keep them in front of life’s challenges.

“Everything God is leading you to do, the devil’s going to oppose. But you have authority over him, and all you have to do is say, ‘Devil, I resist you because I’m obeying God in the way of obedience,’ and he will flee from you.” — Nancy Dufresne [27:17]
