There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the healer. And again we're going to be continuing along the line we've been on teaching in this series on in Christ I can. Because everything that belongs to Christ belongs to us. He is in us, we are in Him. And it was the genius of God to put everything into Christ that He dreamed for us to have. I want you to know that when God gave a plan and authored a plan for your life, he committed himself to everything that that plan calls for. Everything that the plan of God needs to come to pass. God has already stocked that plan with provision. And can I tell you this, that what the plan of God needs to come to pass in its fullness is our health. We need to be healthy so that we can fulfill the plan of God. And I want you to know that we are authorized to resist anything that does not speak of health, anything that doesn't speak of provision, anything that doesn't speak of wisdom and help. We have all in the plan of God that we need to fulfill God's dream for our own lives. And thank God for the word of God that shows us what God has planned for us in Christ. Everything is ours. Outside of Christ is where we're going to struggle outside of Christ when we operate independent from him or think independent from him, that's where we're going to face difficulties. But if we will recognize God gave a plan for our life, then he filled us with Himself because He intended to fulfill that plan through us. That we're simply his channel, that we, we come into agreement with what he's planned. And we say, father, work your plan through me. And Jesus basically said the same things when he said this. He said, my Father in me he does the works. And so our joyous. Our joyous privilege is to Put him to work for us every single day. Don't wait until the crisis of life, but every single day, learn to turn your attention toward him, acknowledge him and draw on him as the One who is working through you today. I so love the scripture when it said that God is working in me both to will and to do of his good pleasure. So learn to say that every single day God's working in me both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Because we don't want to try to fulfill what he has called us to apart from him, but we are doing that in agreement with him, working in us. And so that's the great thing about the Christian life, the new. The new creature life, that we are new creatures in Christ, that we are not trying to fulfill anything apart from from him, but we're depending on him, resting on him, leaning on him as we acknowledge and put him to work for us. We were looking at in a previous episode something that's written in Jonah, chapter 2, in verse 8. Here Jonah is sitting in the belly of the well. And I, you can imagine that he thinks this is the end, this is the way that there doesn't look to be an exit out of this. There doesn't look to be a happy ending out of this. But he made this observation and it's recorded in Jonah 2. 8. They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. So what? What does that mean? He believed that what he saw around him was not going to trump what he believed about the mercy of God. He believed that the mercy of God could deliver him from that place that looked to be a dead end. It looked to be that his life was over. But he was saying, I'm not going to observe what circumstances show me, because if I keep my attention fixed on surrounding circumstances, I have to. I have to reject the mercy of God to do that. Well, I want you to know circumstances around your life can look like they're painting a certain end, but you can believe instead in a higher flow, which is called the mercy of God. So we have to learn to not observe the lying vanities, because the devil can adjust situations and circumstances out in the world to try to dupe us and try to deceive us into letting go of our faith and letting go of what the plan of God is for our life. But here again, Jonas said they that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy. We have to become skillful at not letting what we see trump what God has said. I want you to know what God says is greater than anything you can see around you. Can I tell you this? That what God says is greater than what your body says. What God's word says is greater than what your finances say. Don't believe anything more than you believe what God says, because if we choose to believe something different than what God says, we forsake the mercy that. That God has waiting for us. You know, symptoms and sickness want you to call yourself sick instead of calling yourself healed and whole. But don't observe lying vanities. Symptoms are nothing but the temptation to agree to sickness. And we refuse to agree that we're sick. We are the whole, and we refuse to allow sickness and symptoms to rob us of our health. That is, we will not observe the lying vanities. Symptoms are nothing but lying vanities. And we are to fill up with the word of God that will flush out any kind of. Any kind of deception that sickness and disease would try to work on us. Lack wants you to call yourself broke instead of that, that Jesus is your provider. So we are to speak the truth in the face of every circumstance that seeks to lie to us about that truth. You know, there was a time when I pastored for 25 years, and there was a precious family that was in my church for a period of time. And not all of their family members attended the church, but most of them did. And there was one daughter, a grown daughter, that she was in her mid-30s, and she would attend periodically, but not often. And one day I looked back and I could see the troubling on her face. She was in service that day. And so I recognized she's going through something. So I contacted her and I asked how she was doing. And she said, well, Pastor Nancy, I'm having all kinds of physical problems. And she began to tell them to me, and she said, you know, I'm trying to watch my diet and fix it through eating right and things like that. And I said, well, sister, there's nothing wrong with that. You know, it's fine to make better choices with your diet. But I recognized in her conversation that it wasn't diet that was the problem. It was the fear that I was hearing her talk about. There is a tone that fear carries, and I could hear that in the things that she was saying to me. So I decided I would go visit her. And so I went and sat and talked with her. And I said, sister, I'm not saying that you're not having some, maybe some symptoms in your body, but what I perceive in my heart is that fear is at the root of it, that fear is trying to deceive you into accepting these symptoms as something that belongs to you. And she basically said, no, I'm not fearful. She said, it's. I know that my body is not performing right. And I said, well, what do the doctors say about it? And she said, well, they say they can't find anything wrong with me. And I said, well, how long have they. Have you been going to a doctor? Well, a couple years now. So it wasn't just in one or two appointments, but for a couple of years she's been going to the doctor insisting that something was wrong with her body, yet medically they couldn't find anything. And in speaking to her, like I said, I perceived that, that it was simply fear. What was it? That fear was playing with the conditions and the symptoms that she felt to try to dupe her and really get her to agree with the wrong thing. But this is exactly what Jonah was saying. They that observe lying vanities. If they put their attention on it, if they trust lying vanities, what's going to happen? They're going to lay down the mercy of God that's already in their direction. How many of you know that healing is a mercy of God in Christ? The mercy of God is yours. How many of you know that provision is the mercy of God? It's not just mercy doesn't just have one flow. Mercy has many flows and many manifestations. And so I. I said, well, I'm going to ask you to do me a favor. I said, I'm going to come back and visit you next week. But between today and the time I come back, would you go through the scripture and find certain verses that talk about our dominion over fear? That how God's not given us a spirit of fear, but a power, love, and a sound mind? Just any verse that speaks to you. I said I could bring some verses to you on that, but I said, I would rather you find verses that really speak to your heart. And I said, then just make a list of just several of those verses. And if you would just until next time, speak those verses over yourself. Say them to yourself when you're laying in bed, think of them and just mull over them, mutter them to yourself. Just let those cycle around in your thought life. And she said, okay. So I went back the next week and I could tell there was no change on her countenance. There was no greater peace showing up. She still looked troubled. And I said to her, I said, did you take the time to find those verses? She said, well, No, I really. I really haven't taken the time to do that. And I said, okay, well, I expected that. So I said, I brought some verses with me. And so I brought some that I've stood on through the years, that I know they work. And I said, I want you, if you would, next week when I come back, I'm going to leave these with you. And just every morning, every afternoon, and every evening, it won't take maybe five to 10 minutes to speak these to yourself, but say them and let your heart agree with it. Don't just read a piece of paper, but recognize that this is the word of God to you. Recognize that God is saying these things about you, that he's not given you the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind. Well, she half heartedly agreed, you know what I mean by that? And so I went back the next week and I said, did you find. Did you find those verses? And did you look them up and meditate on them? And she said, well, after you left, I lost the piece of paper that you left me. And I thought, okay, you know, I can't want something for you more than you want for you. It won't do me any good to want it if you don't want it. And so I committed. That's. That's the last time I'm going to visit her. Because she just wasn't interested in the help that I was bringing. Because she had already decided that her body was the problem when I knew that fear was the problem. And she did not think that fear was the problem. But what was it? Fear was adjusting things in her body that was duping her and deceiving her. And she was observing lying vanities. And because of that, I was offering her the help of heaven. Not because it came from me, but because it came from the word. And I have the experience enough to recognize. I recognize fear when I hear it. I recognize the behavior of fear when I see it. And she didn't believe me, but I couldn't convince her. And so that was the last time I went to her home and visited her. About a month later, I got a phone call from her family, and they were so precious. And they said, pastor Nancy, our daughter is in the hospital. And I said, I'll come and. I'll come and see her. So I went there into the hospital room and her family was in there. And I said to her family, I said, what are the doctors saying? They said, the doctors say they can't find anything wrong with her. But her body is shutting down. Organs are now shutting down. And they said, really, she doesn't have too long to live because her organs have started shutting down. And I said to them, I said, what are you believing for? For your daughter? And they said, pastor Nancy, she has suffered so much with fear that we don't want her to suffer any longer. We'd just be okay if she went to heaven just because we don't want her to live this way. Well, the parents were quite accurate that they recognized that it was fear. Yet you could not convince her that fear was the problem. She was so committed to the thought that her body was failing her when really fear was attacking her. And so we prayed, and within about 15 minutes, she went home to be with the Lord. And it was interesting because it was about a week later, my husband was. And, you know, I thought, could I have done more? Could I have said something a little different that would have gotten her attention? And my husband had a vision about a week later, and he said, I saw her in heaven, and I saw Jesus talking to her. And Jesus said to her, pastor Nancy gave you your answer, but you wouldn't believe her. And this is what Jonah was saying. Those that observe lying vanities, they forsake their own mercy. Many times God will send a pastor, send a message, send a sermon our way so that we can really hear our answer. But we've decided that it's this way. And then when God is telling us where really the root of the problem is, we don't believe him because we are observing something that's lying to us. She was being lied to by the devil that her body was the problem. Why? So she wouldn't attack the real problem, which was the spirit of fear. If she would have dealt with that spirit of fear, her body would have started responding to the healing word. But because she was trying to deal with the wrong thing. And anyway, so after she went to heaven, the doctors said, we want to do an autopsy on her because we didn't find anything wrong with her. So the parents agreed to that. And after they did the autopsy, they came to the parents and they said there was absolutely nothing wrong with any organ. There was no disease, there was no sickness in her body. But yet it shut down. What was it? Fear. Shut it down. I want you to know that if we believe the wrong thing, we'll have the wrong thing. But why don't we believe in the mercy of God so that we can have a flow of the mercy of God? But too many times people are observing Lying vanities. I want you to know the circumstances around your life. They may be a fact, but they're not the truth. The Word is the truth of God. You may feel certain things as a fact. That may be, that may be so, but that is not the truth. The truth is himself took your infirmities and bare your sicknesses. You may say, well, Pastor Nancy, I'm struggling to pay my bills. Well, I want you to know that may be a fact, but truth trumps fact. And the truth of it is that God supplies all your needs. But if we're going to observe a fact and give it the highest seat, instead of the truth of God's word, we're going to forsake our own mercies in Christ. A sound mind belongs to us. That's part of our inheritance. And part of a sound mind is recognizing when we're. When deception is trying to work or when the truth is being offered to us. And so many times people have been deceived and did. And the sad thing about someone who's deceived, they don't know they're deceived. That's how deception works. And they will argue with you to stand their ground that they think they know the right thing. Don't you know that, Jonah, if someone could have been in a conversation with him, he could have said, no, I know that my life is going to end in the belly of the whale because this is where I'm at. But he didn't believe that that had to be the end. He believed that the mercy of God could reach in and change every circumstance. And he called his situation. He called where he was. This is a lying vanity. Because the mercy of God can change all of this. And I want you to know that the Word tells us that God is always the truth. God is always going to speak the truth. And the Bible says, let every man be found a liar. But God's the. God speaks the truth. And so we always have to hold to what God says. Have you ever gone to a movie theater or even on television, watched a movie, and it can seem so real. But as you're watching this movie, you know this is completely fiction. It's not true events. It's not true. It's not even people that have ever lived. But you, in watching that movie, you kind of step in, into the role of what they're playing off in front of you. And even though they're depicting it as an actual event, it's still just a movie. I was listening to some precious, precious ministers years ago the spirit of God said to them, just as you can see a movie and it looks real, it's all fiction, it's not truth. And he said there are going to be circumstances that are going to play off in front of you and you have to recognize just because it looks real, it's not the truth. And he says don't believe something that's not the truth and it's my word that's truth. Within about three days, their daughter in law was in a catastrophic car accident. And they got the phone call that she was really on the brink of death. They went down to the hospital and the doctors came out and they said if she lives, she will be in a wheelchair the rest of her life. They said she will be completely incapacitated. They said there's been brain damage. And they said her back has been destroyed. And they said there's really, she's just going to be a vegetable if she lives. And so these, these in laws of hers full of the word and full of the Holy Ghost. They thanked the doctor for what he said, but then they walked out in the hall and they said, we will not believe that movie. It's fiction. That is not the truth about, about our daughter in law's future. And they said, we will not buy that story. We have a truth to believe. And so, so they refused to believe it. Now they weren't calling the doctor a liar. The doctor, listen, it's not about getting the doctor to change what he says. It's not. It doesn't matter what the doctor says. It matters what you say about your life. It's not trying to get people around you to change what they say. What matters is what do you say about it. And so they recognize the doctor saying that was not the problem, that he's just telling them that the condition physically of this realm, of that of their, of their daughter in law's situation. But they had a choice to make. What am I going to believe? Am I going to believe this scenario that looks like it's playing off in front of me or am I going to believe what the word says? And so they said, satan, we refuse to believe this picture that you have shown us it isn't real because the word is what's real and truthful in our life. So they refused to believe it. And they would not play it over and over in their thought life. They would not talk about that as being the situation or the outcome of their daughter in law's life. So they just said, we believe that the power of God is Making everything right in her. So they went back to the doctor. The next day they went back to the hospital rather to see their daughter in law. And when they got there, the doctor said, you can take her home. There was not one physical condition problem. There was not one problem with her brain, not one problem with her back. She walked out completely healed the very next day. Why? Because somebody refused to believe lying vanities. They refused to believe the picture shown them. They refused to believe that movie that was playing off by the enemy in front of them. If they would have believed that picture, they would have been stuck with that picture. But they refused to believe that picture and that picture had to change. I want you to know that I will not believe anything more than I believe what God says, because that's the truth and that's the mercy of God. The mercy of God is what God has already said to us and what God is doing for us. Don't buy the picture that circumstances are trying to paint for you. Don't believe the movie that circumstances around your life are trying to show. You see them as something that's changeable. You know, that's the thing is, is that when a movie company, when they create a movie, they can change the details of that movie at a whim. They can decide they like a scene or they don't like a scene. They can add additional scenes, they can cut out other scenes, they can add certain events or they can remove certain events because it's at their whim of that movie. I want you to know the devil does, tries to do the same thing with circumstances. He tries to play off certain scenes in front of your life to see if you'll buy them. You know, I remember after my husband went home to be with the Lord, I got one of the staff members said, Pastor Nancy, they said there was, there is a loan coming due. You owe us amount of money. And it was a large amount of money. I didn't know all of the different business dealings and the status of some of the business projects when my husband went home to be with the Lord. So I gathered the staff and said, tell me what you know about different business deals that he was involved in or the status of different things. And so my, one of my staff members said, well, he owed a certain amount of money that's coming due in five months. And so I said to God, I said, God, what do I do about that? And he said, don't do anything, I'll handle it. Well, you know, in the natural, sometimes you want to feel like you're doing something to address something that's looming in front of you. And so one month before the money was due, a lawyer had called me and he said, nancy, I was thinking that there might be one avenue that was going to pay out some funds to you. But he said, that avenue shut down. They're not going to pay out anything. And I said, well, it's a good thing I don't have my faith in avenues. And so that was the only avenue I knew of or thought of that could have met that need that was going to come due about a month later. And I said to God, I said, God, I told you the day my husband went home to be with the Lord that my faith is in you and it's not an avenue. And avenues can change. Avenues can come and avenues can go. So I don't care that the avenues change. I just trust that you're going to take care of this need. And so that's all I said to God. I didn't pray extra. I didn't fast extra. I didn't call a prayer meeting. I didn't call anybody else to pray. Why? Because either God can do it or he can't. And I decided I wasn't going to lose my peace over it. Well, one week later, the lawyer called me back and he said, nancy, after I called you last week, I decided that that company was not going to rob from you. And I've been working with them all week, and tomorrow you'll get that check and told me how much it was, and it was the exact amount I needed to pay off that note my husband had. This is what I want you to see. I believe the devil adjusted that circumstance. I believe he wanted to get me out of faith and into fear. Because if I would have gotten into fear when that avenue shut down, I believe he could have kept that avenue shut down. But because I didn't believe the lying vanity, I believed that God had another avenue. I didn't care what avenue he used, but I didn't come out of faith and I didn't get into fear. And. And because I didn't, God was able to make sure that avenue opened back up and it became the avenue that God did use. I want you to know, don't believe every circumstance because if you can see it, it's up for change. Because the word of God trumps everything that we see. Amen. Well, that's our inheritance of what belongs to us in Christ. The unchanging word that changes everything in our world. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

I want you to know that every single person in this world needs a Savior. And the greatest thing of all is that we have one. But this Savior must be welcomed. This Savior must be received. And it's so easy to receive Jesus as the Savior. The Word says that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Saved. So right now do that with me. Say Jesus, I receive you as my Savior. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life and I'll live for you all the days of my life. God bless you.
