There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. We appreciate you taking the time to sit under the teaching of the Word. And we're hungry, aren't we? We're just hung to grow in the things of the Word and to learn how to be better doers of the Word. You know, Jesus said it's not just the hearer that's blessed, but the doer. And so we're hearing so that we can better know how to do. How many of you know that? Our progress doesn't stop at the hearing, but we're to move on to the doing. And our minds are not being renewed until we're actually doing that which that we hear. You know, there are people that can confess the Word, but we need to move on from confession to doing our confessing that is absolutely vital to us, must lead us to the doing of the Word. And so we are learning the Word together so that we can better know how to do it. And when we do our life, when we do the Word, it takes our life and it sets it on course. So it's such a joy to spend this time with you. We've been in the midst of our series called In Christ I Can. And with the last several episodes, we've been really talking about and reading scriptures that show us how all sufficient the kingdom of God that we belong to is in supplying and taking care of every single need of ours to where we don't have to lean on the world and we don't have to lean on the ways of the world to have every single need met. And we have to realize this, that in Christ we have every single thing we need. I want us to go to our golden text that we've been using in this series, and that's Colossians 2. Nine, the living Bible says this, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. And so we see this, that it's not about getting God to do something for us. It's not about getting God to send something for us, but it's about us recognizing that he has put in Christ everything that he planned for our life. And then by faith, we draw out of that life in Christ and we draw out of the treasure box of heaven. And Jesus is that treasure box. And I want us to also see 2 Corinthians 3, 5, and this is the King James translation and it reads, not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything of ourselves, but our sufficiency is is of God. What's that mean? That he never intended that we try to do anything in this life apart from Him. That the plan that he authored for us, it calls for Him. And all we are is co laborers with God. God is the laborer and we are the co laborer. And that's exactly how Jesus functioned. He realized that the miracles, that the healings, that the things that happened through his earthly life and ministry was due to his union with the Father, his oneness with the Father. And we have that same place with the Father, that same position, that we are one with Him. And that's why Jesus paid the price, so we could be one with the Father. And when Jesus was moving among men, he wasn't trying to meet the needs of men himself, but he said, my Father in Me, he does the works. So Jesus drew on the Greater One who was on the inside of him. And you say, well, Jesus was to do that because he was a son of God. Well, so are you. And not only that, people are implying that he had something more available to him than we have available to us. But you have to remember this. The Word tells us that when Jesus was born in the earth, he laid aside his mighty glory and virtue. What's that mean? He walked as a man. And because of that, he wasn't doing any miracles or healings until after he was anointed, when he was baptized in the River Jordan by John the Baptist, that He it required the anointing of God for him to fulfill the plan of God. And he, he moved under that anointing. And he relied upon the Holy Ghost to help him to fulfill the plan of God. And we have the exact same thing available to us. For we are the Temple of the Holy Ghost. And there is an anointing that abides in each and every one of us. Because God never intended that we live this life and fulfill his plan apart from Him. But we have the Word, the Spirit, the anointing of God, the power of God available to us. And we move through this life based on our union with him, not trying to operate apart from Him. So this is what 2 Corinthians 3, 5 is really announcing to us, that we are not sufficient of ourselves to think anything of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God. So we don't try to do anything apart from him because it will certainly end in disappointment. But our sufficiency is of God. And how many of you know we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of God's dear Son. And know this, that in that kingdom is everything we need all sufficiency. And so we need to recognize our sufficiency is of him, that, that. That the kingdom of God that we belong to is more than sufficient to take care of all the needs of God's people. We don't have to rely upon the way the world operates because we have another order, a higher order to live from. And when we say that the kingdom of God is all sufficient, that means for every arena of life, financially, physically, it applies to our families, it applies to our business, it applies to every single arena of life. Our sufficiency has been placed in Christ. God put into Christ everything that we're going to need for this life. And then he put Christ in us and us in Christ. And I say it this way, Jesus is the treasure box of heaven. And we draw out of that wealth of who we are in Christ and who he is in us. And we have to develop our faith though recognize who we are in him and what belongs to us, because we, we belong to Him. And we put a demand on all that provision that is ours in Christ and that God put resident in Him. And I want to now add to this that it's not enough to know the will of God for our life. We have to know the ways of God, of how he accomplishes it. God's plan is that we fulfill his plan. That's his will for our life. But we have to know what's the way that God's going to fulfill his plans through us. So faith is not just about knowing the will of God, but it's also discovering the ways of God and taking those ways, going those ways, not going back to the human way, but staying with the God, the God ordained way, the divine way of carrying out God's will. It's the will and the way of God that's coupled together that ensures our success. So it's not just knowing his will, but we must learn his ways. For if we don't know his ways, his will will not come to pass in our life as it ought. His ways are outlined in Scriptures so that the will of God becomes a reality in our life. I want us to look at the book of Psalm 103:7. Psalm 103:7. It reads this. It says, God made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel. So know this. The Israelites, the people knew the acts of God, but Moses knew God's ways, His ways of bringing about those acts. Let me put it to you this way. If I'm someone that I appreciate fine art, and if I were to see a beautiful painting by an artist, and he has that displayed in a store, displayed in an art gallery, and I look at it, that's his ax. That's something that he was able to produce. But if that same artist sees me admiring that painting and says, would you like to come back into the studio and see how that was created? Ah, now I'm not just going to see his acts, I'm going to see his ways of accomplishing that piece of art. Well, this is what I'm talking about. We can see what God does and not know how he does it. Well, that's not what we want to do. We want to not only see what he does, but we also want to know how he brings, to pass his will. And so I want you to, I want you to look at Psalm chapter 95 in verse 10 and 11. And this is the Amplified Classic translation. Before I read that, let me again refer to the previous passage that we talked about there. In Psalm 103:7. It says that God made known his ways to Moses, but His acts to the children of, of men, toward to the children of Israel. So what's this mean? That the children of Israel stopped. They were content. They stopped at just knowing the Acts. They didn't go on to learn his ways and that. And because of that, they never arrived in the promised land. So it's not enough to just be interested in knowing what the will of God is for our life, but what's the way that we're going to accomplish that will? So now I want us to see Psalm 95, 10, 11, the amplified classic translation. It reads, 40 years long was I grieved and disgusted with that generation. What generation is he talking about? That generation that was delivered out of Egypt, the Hebrews that saw these mighty things that God worked to bring about their deliverance out of slavery. And it says that for 40 years, what was it? They were traveling in the wilderness. They never arrived at the land that God had given them. So it says for 40 years. Long was I grieved and disgusted with that generation. And I said, it is a people that do err in their hearts and they do not approve, acknowledge or regard my ways. Wherefore I swore in my wrath that they would not enter my rest or the land of promise. So notice this. They traveled but never arrived because they were not interested in learning God. They weren't interested in learning his ways. It says that they didn't approve, they didn't acknowledge, and they didn't regard God's ways. Well, let me say it to you this way. If you have a couple that's married, but the spouses are not interested in learning each other's ways, you know, they're not going to have the kind of fellowship and the kind of marriage they could have if they're not interested in learning one another. Well, God wants us to learn one another. When somebody says, you know, I don't understand my spouse, I don't understand my husband, I don't understand my wife, that's not a good statement to make because we need to learn not just what they like, but how do they think, how do they operate? You know, when my husband and I, we had a very short courtship and God spoke to me and said, he's going to be your husband. And so because of God making it so clear to us, and of course he was older when we got married. There was 20 years age difference and I was in my early 20s at the time. But we didn't go the. Well, our courtship and our marriage was, if I could say this, the exception. It wasn't the rule of how most come to pass, but because our courtship was short. I didn't know his ways early on in the marriage very well, but I had to learn his ways. And if I'm interested in someone, I'm going to learn how they think, learn what's important to them, learn how to cooperate with them. But by the time of his homegoing 30 years later, I knew my husband pretty well. I mean, early on, if we were at dinner with somebody and there was a conversation that was going on, I might not have known what my husband's answer would be. In a course of A conversation. But by the time after living with him 30 years, somebody could ask a question or bring up a subject, and I could have answered it for him because I knew his ways. I was acquainted with how he thought, I was acquainted with how he functioned. And so it's the same thing with God. We should not be oblivious to knowing Him. He's not trying to hide Himself from us. He wants us to know Him. Not just know his will, but he wants us to know his ways. He wants us to know how. What's important to Him. And he wants us to make what's important to him important to us because that's a sign of true love. You know, Matthew chapter 6 and verse 33 says this. Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. What's that mean? Make important to you what's important to God. You know what's important to God? His kingdom, the way of operating his kingdom. And if we will be interested in learning that, then the things that we need will just come to us because we're in a position of receiving when we put. When we put first what God puts first. And so here in Psalm 95, God is describing these Hebrews that they were not even interested in learning God. They weren't interested in knowing how he functioned. You know what they were interested in just getting what he gave them he want. They wanted provision, they wanted water, they wanted food, but they didn't seek to learn Him. Well, I want you to know that in our inheritance, in Christ, the greatest thing that belongs to us is God Himself. He is our great joy. And we want to learn him and his ways. How do we do that? The Word reveals Him. And Jesus said to the disciples, if you've seen. If you've seen me, you've seen the Father. So when we saw not only the will of Jesus, but the ways of how Jesus operated, then we're seeing the will and the ways of the Father. And so Jesus was a picture of. Of His Father's will. He was a picture of His Father's ways. Do you know what? That's what we're to look like. Our lives are to be a picture of God's will and a picture of God's ways because we have been interested enough to learning him and learning his ways. The thing is that the Hebrews, they did not want to adapt themselves to God. They wanted to go on thinking the way they always thought, operating the way they always operated. They wanted God to adapt to them instead of them Adapting to God. Can I tell you, that's the big problem in the world today is they change the Word to suit them instead of them changing to come in line with the word. Well, God's not going to change how he functions and how he operates because his honor will not let him be changeable. He doesn't need to change. You know, when you're perfect, you just don't need to change. And God's the only one who doesn't need to change. What's that mean? God is not going to allow us to try to. Well, we're not. We're not changing him to suit us. We have to adapt to suit Him. How do we do that? We learn his will and we learn his ways and we come into line with how he operates instead of trying to get God to bless the way we operate apart from Him. As a result of not knowing his ways, God was displeased with that first generation of Hebrews and they did not enter into what he had already made theirs. I don't want to have things that belong to me and me not enjoy them in this life simply because I wasn't interested enough to learn the ways of God. To enter into what he's provided for us, we have to learn his ways. Listen, what he's provided for us is our possession, but we have to partake of it. And we partake of it by going God's way. Now look at Matthew, chapter seven. And we're going to start reading in verse seven. And this is the King James translation. Jesus was speaking, and he said this. Ask and it shall be given you. Seek and you shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Look at that. Ask, seek and knock. What does that show? That shows interest. Someone is interested if they're taking those steps. And then look at verse 8. There is a reward that if we're interested in knowing. It says, for everyone that asketh, receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth. And to him that knocketh, it shall be opened. Notice this. Nothing is held out of this person who will ask and seek and knock. Everyone that asks receives. Everyone that seeks, finds. And to everyone that knocks, doors are open to them. So what's this mean? These truths are for everyone. They're not just for ministers. They're not just for a select few. They're for every one of God's children. Who will ask? Who will seek, who will knock? You know, when it talks about asking, it doesn't always just mean asking something of God. What does it mean? It means about Asking to know something. If we were to ask our pastor, teach me this, teach me that, then we're asking to know him better. We're asking to know the word better. You know, sometimes people, they just show up in church to get a need met, but they don't stay around to learn the need meter. They don't stay around to learn the one who provided for them. In 25 years of pastoring, I saw people show up in the church at a time of crisis and listen, that's appropriate. That's the right thing to do. When things start getting. Start getting difficult in your life and they've not had, they've not been part of local church or they've not had a pastor, that's the best thing, run to the church. And God is so gracious, God is so loving. He will always meet the needs of someone who shows up and shows interest in Him. But then I also saw this. I saw that after that time of pressure was over, after the circumstances were over, after the difficulty had passed, then they quit showing up. What was it? They were interested in having something from God, but they weren't interested in knowing Him. Well, God will bless them as far as he can. And God's not offended at that. But he recognizes they fell short of what they could have had. Because to know him is far better than to just have something that he gives. When we know him, we'll never. We'll always know how to cooperate with him and we'll never do without. And so know this, that when we're asking, we're seeking, we're knocking. It shows our level of interest. If we're not asking, if we're not knocking, if we're not seeking out some things in His Word, it shows that we need to increase our interest. These truths are for everyone, but they must be hungered for. They must be. They must have enough interest to say, I'm not going to keep living the way I have been living. You know, I remember my goodness as a baby Christian, I was in my early 20s. And I remember something I said which was completely ignorant. And I said to God one day because I was having just some nagging symptoms in my body. And I just said, God, God, why don't you go ahead and just heal me? In other words, I'm implying he's not holding up his end of the bargain. And so God said to me, he said, if you were interested enough in your healing, you'd do something with my word. Well, he let me know the problem was that was what I was not doing. It wasn't that he wasn't doing something. It's because I wasn't doing something. Well, I fixed that and I just got hold of. I got hold of one of one sermon by Kenneth Hagin and my goodness, I wore that tape out back then. It was a tape. And I listened to that thing day and night, over and over. And at the end of three weeks and every single one of those nagging symptoms were gone. Why? Because I was asking. Seeking, knocking. And therefore I always received. And so I want you to know when you put interest in the direction of God, that the answers for your life will become manifest and things will change and it will rewrite the story of our life. Know this. We will only find what we seek. If we don't seek for it, we won't find it. You know, that's the same way, just in the natural. Why do we send children to school? Because we know if they don't seek to have some kind of academic learning, they won't get it. And it's the same thing with God. If we don't seek to know some things, there are some things we'll remain ignorant of. And when we're ignorant, the devil is counting on our ignorance to work his plan against our life. I remember the story of one woman that she was. She lived in. I'm not. I know she didn't live in Oklahoma. She lived in a different state other than Oklahoma. And there was. Dad Hagin had a healing school there in his Bible school. And during that time. And this woman was given a terminal diagnosis and she didn't live in Oklahoma. But she picked up and she moved to Oklahoma for. For one reason. To attend that daily healing school there at dad Hagin's Bible school. And when she showed up there at the healing school, she was talking to one of the ministers there. And she said, I decided that I wasn't going to die prematurely just because I was ignorant of the word of God. Now how smart was that? That was a smart thing for that woman. And she did receive her healing and did not end up dying of that disease. Why? Was it because she was asking, she was seeking and she was knocking. And when she did that, she received a miracle. She was interesting. She was interested in finding out, how do I cooperate with God? How do I. It's not about getting God to do something. It's about how do I receive what God has already done for me. And so she just decided to. That she wasn't going to die just because she lacked knowing the ways of God. She knew it was his will that she be healed, but she did not know the way of how to receive what was his will. But when she learned it, she received her healing and it lengthened her life. So I want to read to you something that dad Hagin said. He was laying on his deathbed and the Spirit of God spoke to him as a young man and he was born with an incurable heart condition. And he said, during the time I was bedfast, the Holy Spirit kept trying to tell me that I could be healed. And finally one day I heard something on the inside of me, the still small voice that said, you don't have to die at this early age. You can be healed. And I answered back, well, if I could be healed, I want to know how. I knew medical science couldn't do anything for me. So I asked the Lord, how can I be healed? And that same inward voice said this. It's all in the book. Now I want you to know every answer you need. It's all in the book. We have to be interested enough to get in the book and find out how to cooperate with God, how to move not only with his will, but with his ways. Because it's all in the book and we're going to keep teaching along this line next time and you don't want to miss it. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Podcast: Jesus the Healer w/ Nancy Dufresne Audio Podcast
Episode: 933 | In Christ I Can, Part 173
Date: January 28, 2026
Theme:
Nancy Dufresne explains the sufficiency found "in Christ"—emphasizing that God's power and provision are available to every believer through their union with Jesus. The episode explores how faith is not just about knowing God's will, but also His ways, and the importance of seeking, knowing, and cooperating with God, not just receiving from Him.
Power at Hand: Nancy opens by encouraging listeners that "there's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one" and that believers should receive this power by faith (00:10).
Receiving by Faith: Emphasis on not "trying to get something" from God but realizing "he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at" (00:28).
“Say, I receive that power. I receive it right now.” — Nancy Dufresne (00:36)
Hearing vs. Doing: Nancy stresses the importance of applying God's Word, not just hearing it.
Renewing the Mind: Renewal comes not just from confession, but from actual obedience and action (00:43 – 03:02).
“Our progress doesn’t stop at the hearing, but we’re to move on to doing.” — Nancy Dufresne (00:56)
Cites Colossians 2:9 (03:10): “For in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ.”
Believers are "filled with God through your union with Christ." All provision is found in Jesus, who is described as "the treasure box of heaven" (03:26).
"It's not about getting God to do something for us... but about us recognizing that he has put in Christ everything that he planned for our life." (03:40)
References 2 Corinthians 3:5: “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (04:28).
Explains how even Jesus relied on the Father; miracles came from his union with God, just as believers must rely on Christ and the Holy Spirit (04:48).
“God is the laborer and we are the co-laborer. And that's exactly how Jesus functioned.” (05:02)
Knowing God Personally: It's not enough to know God’s will; we also need to learn His ways (08:30).
Uses Psalm 103:7: “God made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel” (09:00).
Those who only sought God's acts (the Israelites) missed entering the Promised Land because they didn’t pursue His ways (10:20).
“We can see what God does and not know how he does it. Well, that’s not what we want to do.” (09:41)
To truly know God, we must “ask, seek, and knock”—indicating deep interest (16:35).
Relates personal anecdotes about spiritual curiosity in marriage and faith:
"If you have a couple that's married, but the spouses are not interested in learning each other's ways... they're not going to have the kind of fellowship..." (12:07)
Applying this to God: We are meant to learn not just what God gives but who He is, and how He works (13:30).
Warns against expecting God to adapt to us—as the Israelites did—but rather, we must adapt to Him and His Word (15:29).
"People want God to adapt to them instead of them adapting to God" is a major issue today (15:50).
“God’s not going to change how he functions... When you’re perfect, you just don’t need to change.” (16:09)
Matthew 7:7-8: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you…” (17:09).
God rewards those who actively seek Him and His ways—not limited to ministers, but for all believers (18:00).
Asks listeners: Are you interested in knowing God, or just receiving from Him?
“Sometimes people, they just show up in church to get a need met, but they don’t stay around to learn the need meter.” (19:53)
Personal story from Nancy’s early faith journey—realizing healing came when she pursued God’s Word, not passively waited (22:05).
Healing testimony: A woman with a terminal diagnosis sought out teaching at Kenneth Hagin’s healing school and was healed because she chose to “ask, seek, knock” (23:34).
Key quote from Kenneth Hagin (shared by Nancy):
“If you were interested enough in your healing, you’d do something with my word.” — (22:30)
“It’s all in the book.” — Holy Spirit to Kenneth Hagin (24:53)
On Sufficiency in Christ:
“Jesus is the treasure box of heaven, and we draw out of that wealth of who we are in Christ and who he is in us.” (07:12)
On Knowing God’s Ways:
"He’s not trying to hide Himself from us. He wants us to know Him. Not just know his will, but he wants us to know his ways." (13:55)
On Adapting to God:
"God is not going to allow us to try to... We’re not changing him to suit us. We have to adapt to suit Him." (16:25)
Calling for Hunger for God:
“We will only find what we seek. If we don’t seek for it, we won’t find it.” (25:17)
