There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. Come on in. We're having a good time around the Word. And we have been on this series called In Christ I Can. And I'm so delighted that the Spirit of God has led us this way and he's helped us to come into greater revelation. And I ask you that if you haven't already watched all the different episodes in this series, go back and watch any you may have missed. And I'm hoping that there are some that speak really specifically to you and that you'll listen to those over and over again, because that's one way of meditating on the Word and establishing these truths in our spirits. And you know the first time we hear the truth taught on a particular subject, that the seed of God's Word is being sown in our heart. But every time we hear that truth afterwards, that seed is being watered. And how many of you know it's not enough to plant a seed. We have to water the seed. So what's that mean, that it takes more than one hearing? The Word tells us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So. So we don't ever get familiar toward the Word in such a sense, is that we think, well, I already know that. No, if we are hearing something we've heard taught before, we're just watering that seed. And every seed needs watering because then it will produce a greater harvest. So we thank you for taking the time to join us. And as we said, listen over and over again to any of these episodes that has spoken specifically to your need in speaking and ministering along the lines of In Christ I can. We have used as our golden text Colossians chapter two and verse nine. And this is the living Bible translation. And it reads, for in Christ, there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with with Christ. Now that's what redemption did for us. It brought us into oneness with the Father. And as we feed on these truths of who we are in him, who he is in us, what he'll do for us and through us, this is the really the foundation of our redemption. And just know this, when we establish in us the truths of who we are in Christ, then it brings us into the highest truth, order of faith. We don't struggle with our faith when we realize I'm in union with the Father, that He is in Me, to fulfill through Me what He has planned for Me. And God gave us. He authored a plan for our life, and he gave us that plan that's catered specifically to us, but he didn't give it to us so that we could try to fulfill it apart from Him. We're not to be independent from him in fulfilling the plan of God, but we're allowing him to perform it through us. Well, how is he going to perform it through us? We have to respond to Him. We have to, number one, acknowledge him and put our attention on him. And we respond to him by obeying Him. And so really God does the work, but we have a twofold work, and that is have faith in God. And number two, obey him, because when we do those, then he can manifest through us and fulfill what he, he authored for us. And my, what a blessing that will be to so many people that come in contact with our lives. And so I just so appreciate what is said here In Colossians chapter 2, in verse 10, you have everything when you have Christ. Think about that. There's nothing outside of. There's nothing that's been left outside of Christ. Everything has been put into him that we need. So when God authored a plan for your life, he also provided the supply, the resources, the provision, the peace, the victory, everything you're going to need to fulfill the plan of God. He put all that supply in Christ. And then he filled us with Christ. And then we just. All we have to do is draw on him, yield to him, and let him work through us. And this is exactly what Jesus did. He said when he was in his earthly ministry. He said, my Father in Me, he does the works. He said, I and My Father are one. And so this is why we know that there will be success when we allow him to flow through us. Because we are in union with Him. We are one with The Father. And that is the greatness of redemption of what it purchased for us. Now I want to go over to John chapter 17 and I want to see further when it's written in Colossians 2:10, Paul wrote, and he said, you have everything when you have Christ. I want us to really look at what's contained in everything John chapter 17. And just know this, that this 17th chapter of John is a record of Jesus prayer before he was arrested and crucified. So if you want to know what Jesus prayer life sounded like, this chapter is him praying. And we know that because this is a short time before he's arrested. He is taking things that are foremost on his heart and he is praying this to God and he's speaking words that really are going to mean the most to him at this time of his departure. And so I want us to start reading in verse 1 John 17, 1 these words spake Jesus and lifted up his eyes to heaven and said, father, the hour is come. Glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. Now look at this phrase. Jesus said, the hour is come. We should not be caught by surprise in the seasons of our life that we can know what's to come, because the Holy Spirit will show us things to come. We might not know the exact moment of things, but we can certainly know the times of things. We what season we're in and what's to happen in that season. And Jesus said, the hour is come, so he knew what he was getting ready to fulfill. In verse 2 it says, as thou has given him, talking about himself, power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. Well, how many did God give to Jesus? All of humanity. Jesus is the love gift that God gave the that God gave to humanity. Why is it? Because every man needs a Savior. And the good news is every man has one. The only thing that we have to do is receive this love gift from the Father. John 3:16 says this, For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have life everlasting. So what do we know about Jesus? It was the way the Father loves humanity by sending His Son. So Jesus is the love gift that belongs to the whole world. Whether they receive him or not. He has been given to them. And all they have to do to become a partaker of this kingdom of God is they just have to receive Him. Well then it says in verse two that God would give eternal life to as many as God had given to him. Well, who did God give? Jesus to? The whole world, all of humanity. And then verse three goes on and I so appreciate these words. He said, and this is life eternal that they might know Thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom Thou has sent. Now notice this is the purpose for eternal life. This is why we have life, so that we can be one with the Father, we can know him, that we come into sonship. Now, many times people think, well, we're all children of God, but that's not true. God is the Creator of all men, but he's not the Father of all men. And you know, during Jesus earthly ministry, the religious leaders accused him that His Father was Satan. And Jesus, of course, rebuked them, corrected them. And he said, you're of your Father, the devil. And anyone who is not born again, they are not children of God, although God is the Creator of all men. Now, know this. If we could say this. If there was someone who needed a building built, and they go to. They go to an architect and then they go to a builder and they a contractor to get this building built. The contractor, he oversees the construction of this building and he brings his men in and they construct this building. Just because he built the building doesn't make the building His. Just because God created us does not mean that he is the Father of everyone. He has to be received as Father. And he will not force Himself upon anyone because his honor is so great. He won't violate anyone's will. So notice this. This is eternal life, or this is the purpose of eternal life, and this is life itself. That we might know the only true God and Jesus Christ. And then it goes on and Sundays, in verse four, he said, I have glorified Thee on the earth. I have finished the work which Thou gave us Me to do. I tell you what. None of us should leave till we finish what we're born for. And we're the ones who have something to say about our exit out of this earth. That we are in command. And we should not let sickness and disease and different things of opposition decide our exit. We decide our exit. And we choose not to exit until we have finished the work that God gave us to do. This is one way that we glorify God, is we finish what he gave us to do. And verse five says, and now, O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own Self, with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was. In verse 6 he says, I have manifested thy name unto the men that thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gave them to me, and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee, or they came from God. Now I want us to look at the next verse, verse 8 of John 17. He For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me, and they have received them. Do you know when it says in Colossians 2:10, you have everything when you have Christ, I want you to know that included in that everything is what we just read in John 17:8, when Jesus said, I have given them the words that thou gave us me, and they have received them in Christ. What belongs to us is words, God's words. And that is how everything is. That's how God created everything, is with words. And the greatest thing that we could know in this life is the right words to say, because words are what produce everything. When God wanted to bring about creation, he spoke two words. Light, be. And through words, all that we see came to pass. The Holy Spirit took those words and he performed what those words said. Now look at this. Jesus said, I have given them the words. When Jesus is leaving the earth and he knows these are his last moments with his disciples, these are his last moments on the earth. And he's not saying this. I have given them a greater anointing or I've given them bigger ministries. He said, I have given them words. Why? Because with words, everything that God has authored for us can be fulfilled. So he said, I have given them the words. But not just any words which words. I have given them the words which thou gavest me. So what did God give Jesus? He gave him words. Remember what Jesus said. He said, I only say what I hear my Father say. Because he knew that as he said what God said, then he could fulfill the will of God with words. So look at this. When Jesus said, I have given them the words, the words that thou gave us me, that means this. What Jesus words produced. Our words should produce that when we take the exact same words that Jesus used, that there should be the same fruit that Jesus fulfilled the plan of God with words. Miracles came about because of words. Storms were calmed because of words. Bodies were healed and restored. Lepers were cleansed, the blind saw, the cripples were made to walk. And it was with words. It was the same words Jesus spoke that came from God. And Jesus said, I have given them the words that you gave me. And so know this that we should not be okay with our life not producing what was produced through Jesus life. Because it all came about with words. Now what that does, it puts a demand on us to make certain that we're using the right words that we'll produce. What are the right words? They are words that God has given. And I want you to see in verse eight again, Jesus said, for I have given unto them the words which thou gave us. Me. Now look at the next phrase. And they have received them. Anything that God has to give to us is going to come through words. You know, we pick up the Bible. What is that? That's the thoughts of God. And God became an author and wrote down his wisdom. Wrote down, had it written through the hands of men. He entrusted these revelations. And as men of old wrote, as they were moved upon by the Holy Ghost. But these were Heaven's words. When we take God's word and put it in our mouth, we're speaking eternal things. We're speaking heaven's words. We're speaking divine words. We're speaking like God. So when God wants to do something, he speaks words. And that which is to be performed is, it begins with words. And I want you to know that miracles that you need, they come from words. Healing that you need comes from words. Victory that you need comes through words. And so words are the carriers of every manifestation and every answer that we need in this life. Know this. God's pattern is that he says something, then he does something God never performed until he spoke. So words were the agents that were used to bring things into manifestation. And Heaven's words bring us into heaven's flow and brings us into heaven's manifestations. Heaven's words bring heaven to earth. So besides Jesus, the greatest thing that heaven ever gave us was words. And can I tell you this? Jesus was the Word made flesh. And God's word is the thoughts of God. It's the wisdom of God. And it's his way of performing and doing things is through words. He said this, I have given them the words which Thou gavest me. God gave Jesus words because that was to fulfill Jesus mission. That was enough to meet every need that Jesus would ever face while he was on this earth. His words were enough. God's words were enough to accomplish what Jesus was born for. And I want you to know we have been given those exact same words. And that's how we're going to fulfill what we're born for. That's how we're going to move into and partake of all the provision that we need for the plan of God is through words. Then Jesus gave us what God gave him, so they're enough for us. When we need something from God, our help and our answers always begin with words. You know, in this world, before we were born again, the only thing that we really lived off of was the five physical senses, what we could feel, taste, touch, hear, see the five physical senses and two emotions. We lived off emotions. We were governed by circumstances. And now we came into something that is so much higher and so much. If I could say this, it's an anchor to us. It's words. Circumstances change up and down, all around. And if people are living their life based on circumstances, how fluctuating their life is. If people are building their life just on emotions, emotions can change at a whim. All that has to happen is a bit of an experience get changed and people's emotions go all different directions. But we are called to live and really blessed to live in a flow that's higher based on words. And I would say this, words that don't even, maybe don't even seem to have much of an influence on your emotions. And we just, we have what God says. We speak words. And those words bring to pass what those words contain. The words of God contain something. They contain the ability to fulfill what the words say. So just think of it. Matthew 8:17 himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses. When we say those words, those are divine words. When we say those words, there's enough power in those words to do what those words just said. There's enough power in those words to heal us and bring about the healing that we need. So when we need something from God, just know this. Our help and our answer always begins with words. Not with feelings, not with something that we can see, not with something that we can touch. But healing, prosperity, guidance, wisdom, peace, victory, all of this begins with words. All our help from God begins with words. And that's why we say, I will boldly say the Lord is my helper. Well, how does he help us if we call him our helper, how does he help us? By us putting his words in our mouth. Then we're giving God something to work with. Jesus got results with words. And those words cause the anointing and the power of God to come into manifestation, bring about all the results of the healings and the miracles that were seen. That's the greatest thing that God could ever give us, his words. Because that's where every answer and supply comes from. Thank God for power. But without God's words. We would not even know how to cooperate with power. And power would not even be able to be assigned, assigned to a particular need without words. So notice this. It's not just enough to say Jesus gave me words, but we also have to say we received those words. Because words are containers. They contain the power to bring that word to pass. So to receive the power contained in the words, we have to receive the words. Sometimes people want to flow a power without hearing words, without believing words. They just want power to show up. But the power comes through words. I remember that I was listening to a service when Brother Hagin was ministering. Now, Kenneth Hagin was a spiritual father to my husband and I, and he was in a service and he was preaching a sermon. And right in the middle of that, God said something to him. So he paused in his sermon and he just directed himself toward God. And he just spoke back to God, and he said, yes, God, I received that. I received that. And he said, yes, yes, okay, we'll do that. And then after he just had that short. That conversation with God, he turned to the congregation and he said, now, God just said something to me about the future. And he said, with my mind, I don't understand it. He says, I don't know how it will come to pass, but in my spirit, I chose to receive it. So he said, I received what the Father said. Can I tell you something? You can receive words that you don't really fully understand with your mind. If God says it, I accept it into my spirit. And so we receive words by faith. Many times. If we doubt these words and argue against them or reason against them, then we won't receive the power that the words contain. The power contained in the words will flow only when the words are received. How do we know if we've received them? If we're acting on them, if we agree with them and make those same words our words? We put God's words in our mouth. If we could say this, why does someone may look at a Christian and say, well, how come they're so blessed compared to someone else? It's not that they were offered more, they received more, they received more words. So if you need something more, then receive more words. And I could say this to us. Miracles. Listen, we all need miracles in our life. We all need the manifestation of God's power. But can I tell you this? Miracles live in revelation. Miracles live in words. The more we understand of the Word of God, the more we can cooperate with His Word. And that Word will manifest as miracles and answers and healings and victories in our life. And sometimes people want to have victory, but they don't understand that the victory comes through receiving words. The Bible tells us that when Jesus was in his earthly ministry and he was ministering to the crowds, it says that they came to hear and be healed. Notice this. It doesn't say that they came to be healed. Only they came to hear and be healed. Why? Because healing was in their hearing. Healing was in words. And so if they received the words, they received the healing. If they rejected the words, they were rejecting what the words could fulfill. They were rejecting healing and listen. There were many that did not receive the words that Jesus spoke in his own hometown of Nazareth. He came and he preached the word to them. But it says they were offended at Him. Why? Because they were in unbelief. And so because they rejected his words. Then those words that were full of power, that they were rejecting the power that they needed. Well, Jesus marveled, it said, at their unbelief. But he didn't leave them in unbelief. You know what he did? He went, it said to the villages around and he began to teach. Teaching is the cure for unbelief. Teaching is how we offer people the understanding so that they will receive words instead of reject words. And so know this. Every time we need to receive something from God, what we need to receive first is words. We go to His Word. We feed on His Word, we confess His Word, we meditate His Word. Because in His Word lives the answers, the miracles that we need. Listen in Colossians when it says, when we have Christ, we have everything. Well, even so, we have words when we have Christ because He gave us words that will perform well. We don't want you to miss next time. And until next time, remember this. Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

I want you to know that every single person in this world needs a Savior. And the greatest thing of all is that we have one. But this Savior must be welcomed this Savior must be received and it's so easy to receive Jesus as the Savior. The Word says that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. So right now do that with me. Say, Jesus, I receive you as my Savior. Come into my heart and be the Lord of my life and I'll live for you all the days of my life. God bless you.

Episode: 936 | In Christ I Can, Part 176
Date: February 2, 2026
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
This episode continues Nancy Dufresne’s long-running “In Christ I Can” teaching series, focusing on how believers are empowered through their union with Christ. The main theme centers on how all provision, answers, and miracles that Christians need are accessed through the Word—God’s words given to us in Christ. Nancy explores Colossians 2:9-10 and John 17, emphasizing that we “have everything when [we] have Christ,” and that our lives should be built on and energized by God’s words. She also delves into practical steps for believers: receiving, speaking, and acting upon the Word to see God’s power flow in their lives, especially regarding healing and fulfilling God’s plan.
Jesus is presented as God’s love gift for all humanity (using John 3:16 as anchor) ([09:15]).
