There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. And we are in the middle of a series that, my goodness, we've been on all year. And I'm so glad because we've been been able to take the time and really discover more and more of what the Word says about who we are in Christ and what belongs to us. And this series is called In Christ I can and we have a few resources we want to get in your hands. They're completely free of charge. You can go to our website at jesusthehealer.org or dufresneministries.org, it takes you to the same to the same page. And you can go to our bookstore on that website and you can download, download for free. We have a small booklet that is this. It says in him. And these are just a few of the main scriptures that we would call in him scriptures or we have the complete listing. And the wonderful thing about this, one of our minister friends went through and my goodness, there's over 120 pages. This is front and back. So that's about 250 pages almost in Him Scriptures that he went and referenced 229 different Bible translations and pulled the best out of those different translations and he compiled them and made them available to us. So you can go to our website, you can print those out. You can just download them to your device completely free of charge. And why are we making those available to you? Because it matters to us that we feed on these and we find out what belongs to us in Christ. Listen to this. I mean we belong. We look so much better in him than outside of Him. Where did this really, this series first began moving in me is when I was listening to Brother Copeland last year and he was giving the testimony of how in the early 1970s, him and sister Gloria were in debt. They were just learning the truths of prosperity. And God spoke to him, and he said, I want you to sow 50,000 doll to Kenneth Hagin's ministry. And the skill of Brother Copeland in that moment was not to say, well, I don't have that much money. You know, he himself was in debt, but he didn't first go to himself. He didn't go to his own resources. He then turned and went to who he was in Christ. And he gave this answer. He said, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it. I want you to know that everything we need in this life, we have it in Christ. Now, what we need to do is recognize all that is ours in Christ and then draw on who we are in Christ. How do we do that? We speak words. We acknowledge who's in us. We acknowledge that he's in us, that he's working through us. He's working for us. Then Brother Copeland didn't just say, in Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it, and then do nothing. But he took action. And he took the coins that he would collect throughout the day. If he broke a dollar bill, he would take then the leftover change, and he would put it in a box under his bed. And when that box would get full, he would just send it off to Brother Hagin's ministry. After several times of filling up that box and sending it in, he contacted Kenneth Hagin's ministry and said, how much have I sent in? I don't know how much. He didn't count it before he sent it. And they said, you have given well over $50,000. And brother Copeland said, I know that much didn't come through my hands. Well, why? How did that happen? Well, God is a multiplier. And the Word says that he will multiply our seed sown. And so he was able to move into a flow of who he was in Christ when he remembered, listen, when God commands something of me, he's not just wanting me to fulfill it. He's wanting to fulfill it through me. When God commands something of your life, it's not so he can see if you can do it. He's commanding it because he's showing you what he wants to do through you. If you will give him the opportunity, if you will respond to him, yield to him and obey him. Listen, that's exactly what Jesus did through his earthly life and ministry. He said, the Father in me, he does the works. So Jesus didn't try to fulfill the plan of God apart from God, but he allowed God to fulfill it through him. And I want you to know that that's when the blessing and the blessing of God on our life is so apparent, when we're letting God labor through us. The Bible says we're co laborers with God. Well what's that mean? He's laboring and we're co laboring. We're allowing him to manifest through our life, but he's the one that does the work and we're just coming alongside him with our faith and our obedience. I want us to look at Galatians 3:13 today and it reads this. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us, for it is written cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith through. I want you to see that we are redeemed from the curse of the law. Well, anything that's spoken of is a curse under the Old Testament. We're redeemed from that. But I want you to know the blessings of the Old Testament we don't need to be redeemed from. I mean in fact we are to partake of the blessings that they experienced under the old covenant, but even more because under the new covenant it's a better covenant. But know this, that we are redeemed from the curse of the law. Well, what is the curse of the law? Sickness, poverty and spiritual death or separation from God. We're redeemed from those things. Well I would say this, since we're redeemed from the curse of the law and healing belongs to us in Christ and provision belongs to us in Christ and union with God belongs to us in Christ that we're one with Him. Why is it that so many Christians lives look like they're struggling with the same things that the unsaved are dealing with? You know, the people who are without Christ and they're lost in this world, their bodies are full of sickness, they have lack, there's all kinds of difficulties in their home. There's so much crisis in their home. But why is it that some Christians that although they're born again, still struggling with the same thing that their unsaved neighbor is struggling with? Well, I want you to know it's not because we're under a curse, because we have been redeemed from the curse of the law. Now the unsaved, they're experiencing those things because they're still under the curse. But those of us who have received Christ, we are no longer under the curse. We're under the blessing. But why is it then that it seems like we're experiencing, as Christians, some of us, the exact same things that the unsaved are dealing with in their own lives? Well, it's for a different reason. They're experiencing it because they're under the curse, but we're experiencing it for a different reason. And Paul said this in Ephesians 4. 27, he said this. Neither give place to the devil. Listen, the devil can't take a place in us, but we can certainly give him a place. We can open the door to him. But if we gave him a place, we. We can take back the place that we gave him. If we open the door to him, we can close the door to him. And I want you to know in Christ, you know one thing that belongs to us in Christ. Correction. Do you know the Bible says that whom the Lord loves, he corrects? Do you know that a flow of the love of God is correction? But God doesn't correct us with sickness, disease, poverty, and all kinds of hardship and crisis. The way God corrects the corrects his children is through His Word. He points us back to the Word. He shows us the Word. He shows us who we are in the Word so that we will live based on who he has made us to be. And I want you to know correction is a gift of God. A correction is a blessing of the Lord because it's not what we're doing right that harms our life, it's what we're doing wrong. So if I find in the Word of God something I need to correct, if God shows me by His Spirit, you need to make this change. You need to correct this. That is a flow of the love of God. And I'm not going to become defensive when God shows me what to correct. Because what he wants me to do is experience all the blessings that belong to me in Christ. Now, if I'm going to step out of or step away from the Word, be swayed from the Word, not be a doer of the Word, then I'm going to end up giving place to the devil. And we don't want to give place to the devil. We want to close the door to the devil. And so don't ever think just because sickness may be trying, you may be having to stand against sickness or lack. Don't think it's because you're under a curse. You're not under a Curse. We are redeemed from the curse of the law. But we need to check. Wait a minute. Have I given place to the enemy? Have I opened the door to the enemy? Because what's the enemy come to do? He comes to steal, to kill and to destroy. And the first thing he steals is the word of God. Because if he can steal the word of God out of us, then he can affect our faith. Why? Because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. So we have to make sure we're keeping the door closed to the devil. And I want us to go to First Corinthians 11:30. Now, this passage here in Corinthians First Corinthians 11 is when Paul is telling the account of what happened at the Last Supper that Jesus experienced with his disciples. Now you'll remember what Jesus said. He said to his disciples. He said, take the cup and drink of it. He said, this cup is the New Testament in my blood. And then he gave him also the bread to eat. And what was that? He said, this is my body broken for you. So this is really the communion elements. So Jesus at the Last Supper was spending that time with his disciples, and he gave him the bread. Take and eat. This is my body broken for you. So what was it? His body was broken. Why? So that ours could be whole. And then he said, this cup is the New Testament in my blood. It's symbolic that whenever we drink of that, that we're reminding ourselves, wait a minute. His blood was shed so that we could be cleansed. So that we could be brought into right fellowship with God. So that sin would have no more power over us. So that our past is cleansed away by the blood of Jesus, and we are forgiven that that blood has set us right with. And so we are to receive communion together as a congregation. But you can receive communion at home. Just remind yourself that, you know, just at a meal, you can say, I take this bread. And I remind myself, his body was broken so that mine can be whole. His blood was shed so that my. So that I could be cleansed and come into union with the Father. This is what belongs to us in Christ. But I want you to see that. That after Paul was again reiterating this passage about communion at verse 11. Excuse me, chapter 11. In verse 30, Paul said, For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For what cause? Well, let's go back to verse 27. And it says this. Wherefore, whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. Now what's he talking about? About receiving it unworthily? Listen, Jesus made us worthy that if we're born again, he made us worthy to come into the presence of God, to have standing before God. But what Jesus is, what Paul is writing here when he says unworthily, he's talking about in a manner that's irreverent, in a manner that is not appropriate, not being mindful of what Jesus. The price that Jesus paid for us. But just know this. Jesus made you worthy as his, as a. As a child of God and as part of the body of Christ. But let's not do these things in a manner that's unworthily unworthy. Meaning that we're not making light of this, but we're sober about what we're doing. But look at the last phrase of verse 29. It says, not discerning the Lord's body. And then verse 30 says this for this cause. For what cause? For not discerning the cause of not discerning the Lord's body. Many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. Well, why is he telling us to judge ourselves? If we're disobeying the Lord in some way, if we're living, that's against the Word. Some way before we receive communion, we need to judge ourselves. We need to say, I'm going to straighten up. I'm going to make correction. I'm going to come in line with the word of God. Because when I do, then the blood of Jesus cleanses the bread which is symbolic of his body being broken for me, I can receive healing. And so we want to recognize what he did for us. Now notice the wording that Paul said in verse 30 for this cause. So there's causes why people are weak and sickly among you and many sleep. Now, he's not talking about the unsaved. He's talking about the Christian. He's saying that this is one primary cause why Christians are not experiencing the health and the wholeness that Jesus, that belongs to them in Christ. Listen, in Christ, wholeness belongs to us. But we need to examine ourselves and we need to say, wait a minute. Have I Opened the door to the enemy. Is there a cause of why I'm not experiencing the wholeness that Jesus purchased for me? Now the last phrase again of verse 29 says, not discerning the Lord's body. Now there's a twofold application to that. Number one, not discerning the Lord's body would mean not discerning that your sickness and your disease was laid upon Jesus. If we don't discern that, then we won't take our stand against sickness and disease. And that's the cause that many Christians are weak and sickly and many die prematurely because they don't discern that Jesus already paid the price for their healing. Now that's one side of discerning the Lord's body, that his body was broken so that ours could be whole. Now I want to see again in verse 30 for this cause, many are weak, sickly, and among you talking about Christians. And many sleep or many die prematurely. I see that as a progression. Once weakness comes, then if we don't correct ourselves, it can progress to sickness. And then if we still don't correct ourselves, some. Some can die prematurely. Well, let's not wait until we get far advanced. If we recognize. Wait a minute, there's weakness here. Let me. Let me see what I need to correct. Let me talk to the Lord. Let me find out where am I missing it? Because. Listen. Because we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of his dear son. The devil cannot do to us anything he wants, anytime he wants. We have to somehow open the door to him to attack us. But if we open the door, we can close the door and no one else can close it for us. The one who opened it is the one who has to close it. And so we have to recognize. Wait a minute. If I'm endeavoring to use my faith for my physical healing, and I'm not receiving healing, is there a cause? Have I opened the door somewhere? And this is what it says. If we'll judge ourselves or we'll examine to make sure we've got everything right, then we won't be judged. Meaning that cannot linger with us or stay with us. So, number one, we have to discern. For this is a cause why many are weak, sickly, and many die prematurely, not discerning the Lord's body. So one cause is not discerning that Jesus already paid the price. But let's look at the other side of the coin, and that is not discerning the body of Christ. You know, Jesus body was Broken for us, talking about his physical body. But now there's a spiritual body called the Body of Christ. And we have to discern how do our actions, how does our life affect the Body of Christ at large? It matters to us that we live in line with the Word because it matters to God how we're affecting the whole body. We want to be a blessing to the Body of Christ. We don't ever want to do anything to bring injury or harm or to bring division or lack of unity, because in Christ, wholeness belongs to us. But if we do anything against the Body of Christ, it's going to be a harvest back into our own physical body. And we want to make sure we're being a blessing to the Body of Christ. So we have a supply to bring to the Body of Christ. And I want you to know that if we don't bring the supply that we're to bring, that it can open the door to the enemy to attack us. Not that we're now back under a curse. We're not under a curse, but we gave place to the devil. Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about with this that will make it more clear, hopefully to you. Years ago, we had just started our church here in Southern California. It was the early 1990s, and I had been traveling with my husband, preaching with him on the road. I was administrating the offices. When we started the church, I began as the pastor of the church. And I pastored for 25 years here. So listen, I was. My time and my days were full with ministry. I wasn't out doing something against the Word. I was endeavoring to fulfill the call of God. I was helping my husband first and foremost to fulfill what was on him. I was assisting him. So I was doing all these things. And one night I had a dream. And in the dream I saw myself in a casket. And when I woke up and see, I wished. I wished that would have been a dream from the devil. But I knew that God was showing me something. He was warning me about something. Well, remember what I said? That a flow of the love of God is correction. And God was showing me I needed to correct something and if I didn't, that it would end up in. That I would end up dying prematurely if I didn't make that correction. Was that God sentencing me to death? No. He was showing me that I was not discerning the Lord's body as I ought. I wasn't discerning how something I was leaving undone was affecting the Body of Christ. Now, let me explain it to you. When I woke up the next morning after having that dream, I said, God, I recognize that's from you. How did I know it was from God and not the devil? Well, number one, I sensed the anointing when I woke up from that dream. Number two, I knew the meaning of it. And number three, there was no fear with it. So anytime God shows you something, sometimes you see really wonderful things in a dream. But sometimes as this situation, I saw correction that needed to be made in the dream. So I recognized there was an anointing on me when I woke up. What is that? That was the presence and the influence of God to help me to recognize that God was revealing this to me. Second of all, I knew the meaning. If you have a dream and you have no idea what the meaning is, forget about it. Just set it aside. Don't run around and ask somebody to interpret it for you. You're an intelligent being. God's an intelligent being, and he can bring you into the understanding of what he's showing you. If you don't understand it, just set it aside. Number three, there was no fear with it, even though it wasn't. It was showing me something that was serious. And so I said to God, I said, God, what is it that I'm missing? And he said, there is a supply in prayer that you have not been bringing. And he said, you're going to have to bring it because your husband's ministry needs it and this ministry needs it. And he said, if you don't bring it, then I will have to. I will. I cannot stop you from going down the wrong road. And what was it? I was leaving out something that I needed to bring to the body of Christ. Well, I want you to know, in Christ, wholeness belongs to us. But we need to wait a minute and say, is there a cause if I'm not receiving my healing? Well, listen, I made that correction real quick. And of course, that was years and years ago. But I so appreciated God correcting me because it rescued me. I didn't want to end up like what Paul said in First Corinthians 11:30, for not for the cause of not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause, many are weak, sickly, and many die prematurely. So healing and wholeness belongs to us in Christ. But also what belongs to us in Christ is correcting ourselves. And that's a great thing. Listen, if we miss it, we need to repent because God rewards repentance, and repentance is Not a sign of weakness. It's a sign of strength. It's a sign of hunger for God. And God will forgive us and help us to make corrections. Years ago, my husband, when he was in his late 50s, he went to the doctor for a checkup. And the doctor told him and said, you have cancer. And basically they said, you have about two, two years to live. Well, he didn't come home from that appointment that day and just start quoting healing scriptures. He went to God and he said, God, you haven't missed it. But I missed it somewhere. Why? Because in Christ, those things don't belong to us. And we need to find out what is it. Have we done something to open the door to the enemy? And so my husband came home and he said, God, you don't miss it? I've missed it. So somewhere, where did I miss it? And God said two things. Number one, he said, I've been dealing with you for years about properly resting your body, and you haven't. So your body is broken down and it could not fight this. He said, number two, you've not been obeying me. In the office that I've called you to, I would tell you to say something. He's talking about a ministry office. He said, I'd tell you to say something, and you wouldn't say it. You see, there was the body of Christ, needed him to say and declare what God was saying to him, and he wasn't doing it. And so he said to God, he said, God, I repent. I'm going to make those corrections. What did he do? He judged himself. And so when we judge ourselves, then we can stop going down that path, the wrong path that we're on. And so God said to him, he said, God, I repent. And God said to him, okay. He said, Within 30 days, it'll all be gone. And he went Back to the doctor. Day 28. And it was all gone. Why? Because what belongs to us in Christ is also correcting our course. Because we are redeemed from the curse of the law. We should not be living with the same things that are happening in the world that should not be happening in the church. But we have to go to the Word and we have to say, I'm going to examine myself in light of the Word, and I'm going to make sure I'm not giving place to the devil. And if I know I'm giving place to the devil, I'm going to close that door and God will forgive me and I will get back again onto safe territory. Where the blessing of God can flow unhindered in my life. Listen, when we miss God, he doesn't withhold the blessing, but we hinder the flow of God when we step outside the will of God. Well, we're going to continue along some of these lines next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode 938 | "In Christ I Can, Part 178"
Date: February 4, 2026
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her extensive series, "In Christ I Can," focusing on the power and privileges believers have through their union with Christ. She leads listeners through a biblically grounded teaching on healing, deliverance from the curse of the law, and the necessity of discerning both the work of Christ and one's relationship to the Body of Christ. She shares personal testimonies and practical spiritual applications, challenging believers to examine themselves and align with the blessings that are theirs in Christ.
"In Christ I have it, and in Christ I can give it ... everything we need in this life, we have it in Christ." (03:15)
Shares a dream where God warned her of premature death—not as punishment, but as correction for neglecting her prayer role for the Body of Christ.
Tells of her husband's health scare:
Nancy Dufresne’s tone is compassionate, pastoral, and authoritative—rooted in scripture but warmly personal. She maintains a gentle but firm emphasis on the believer’s responsibility: to recognize, receive, and steward the blessings of Christ through self-examination, repentance, and obedience.
She never frames correction as condemnation, but always as God’s loving invitation to wholeness and spiritual safety, encouraging listeners to step fully into their “in Christ” identity and not to settle for anything less than the fullness of the blessings Jesus provides.
