There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now from the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the Healer. Thank you for taking the time to join us. And know this, any time we sow toward the Word, it's going to bring rich a rich heart in our lives. So thank you for being hungry for the Word. And just know this, it is one of the greatest joys of my life to spend this time with you. So thank you for feeding along with us. And doesn't the Word just give us the best life? I mean, it takes our life and sets it on course. And you know, the thing I so love is that people who have lost all hope in life can go to the Word and get all the hope they need. And so we are inviting you to spend time watching the rest of this episode but also go back and watch any previous episodes, especially in this series that you may have missed. We have been almost for a year now on this the series called In Christ I can. We are learning who we are in Christ, what that means and what God can do and perform in us, for us and through us because we are one with Him. We have been making something available to you. We want you to go to our website@jesusthehealer.org or or defrainministries.org and if you will go to the page that says bookstore, you can shop there. And but this we have some free materials for you. This is a booklet that you can download and then you can print it out called in him. And it's just some of the main in him verses that you can feed on. And then we have a larger compilation of this and this is 120 pages of in Him Scriptures. But the treasure about this one is a ministry friend of ours that him and his wife went through all the in him scriptures and they researched those through 229 different translations of the Bible. And they pulled the best of those translations and compiled them for us. They did years worth of work for us. And then they're offering it to us to offer to you for free. So don't bypass getting those. As I said, they're perfectly free to use. So go to our, our website and download those. But don't just download them, feed on them if you will. Find out, feed on who you are in Christ. Establish that in your spirit it will rewrite everything about the way you live your life. So these are for your meditation, for you to just build yourselves up on the truths of who you are in Christ. Because when we understand who we are in Christ and we begin to put that flow in our everyday life, we come into the highest order of faith. Listen, faith is no struggle to the one who knows that God is in them and they're in Him. And that makes all the difference in life. And it brings us into a life of rest and trust that we never even knew was possible before. So get those materials. It'll be a blessing to you. And then today, if you would, we're going to pick up where we had been starting in some previous episodes. Let's look at John 14:10. Because you don't you think that Jesus is worth imitating? Don't you think that something he did may be something we need to do? Absolutely. I love what one preacher says about Jesus. He said, Jesus was the sample son. Well, we are in the same flow, the same seat of authority that Jesus is in. So our lives should be producing exactly what Jesus life produced. Jesus lived the life to show what the born again man can live, what the born again man, what his life should look like. And so when we find something that Jesus declared, we need to make sure that we're putting it in our mouth. So John chapter 14, verse 10. Jesus made this statement. He said, believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? So we see that Jesus confessed it. He publicly declared it. And I want you to know, when you testify to the fact that Jesus is in me, that the Father is in me, I'm in the Father, I am one with him. Jesus was magnifying his oneness and his union with the Father. If Jesus needed to do that, we need to do that. That's what needs to be magnified in our life. Look, I'm not trying to get this. This is who I am. I'm not trying to break through something. Jesus was the great breakthrough. And I want you to know because of what Jesus broke through. He defended principalities, powers, might and dominion. He spoiled them, he reduced them to nothing. And then he said, I'm in you, you're in me. The Father's in you, you're in the Father. If that be true, we need to be saying that and making that foremost in our mouth and in our thought life and in the way we live every day. If Jesus testified to it, if we'll testify to it also, it will bring us into a robust faith. You never see Jesus struggle with His f. He never said, wow, today my faith feels weak. Wow. I hope I have enough faith to minister to that lame man. Wow. I hope God can do it. You never see Jesus struggle with his believing. You never see him struggling that faith life because we hear him testify, the Father's in me, I'm in the Father. And that will bring about a robust faith in your life. But notice he says, after declaring his oneness with the Father, he said, the words that I speak unto you, they are not of myself. So what's he letting us know? Because I'm in the Father, the Father's in me. I'm not drawn out of me anymore. I'm drawing out of Him. Well, I want you to know you are authorized and privileged to draw out of the Father, draw on his wisdom, draw his strength, his faith, his attributes. What are they? The nine fruits of the Spirit that are in you are yours for the spending. Why would we draw on us when we have the Divine in us? We're no more authorized to draw out of our flesh, to draw out of humanity, to try to live this life. We're drawing out of the Greater One who's in us. God will not back up humanity because he has filled us with Himself so that he could flow. And so we are to draw out of him, not out of us, because that will cheat our life. And God does not want our lives to be cheated and he doesn't want to be hindered from flowing in our lives.
A
So.
B
So now we're authorized to draw out of the Divine One in us. So Jesus said that the words that I speak, they're not of myself. So notice the first place that his oneness with the Father showed up was in his mouth. The way we speak is revealing who we're mindful of. Listen, the problem with a lot of people is they're talking about what they're facing instead of who they're facing. We are one with the Father and we need to be talking about him who is in us, instead of talking about what is against us. In fact, the more you talk about the problem, that's why it persists. The more you think about the problem. That's why it persists. But if we'll talk about who's in us and who's working for us and who is moving through us, that will change everything about what we're facing in this life. We are no longer, if I could say this, intimidated by what we see or feel because we're mindful of who is in us. Amen. Well, I want you to know that we're authorized to not be focused on this realm anymore because the Word says, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. So the person who is growing spiritually mature and robust in God, they're always focusing on that which is not seen. Well, I want you to know what. What does that mean, to focus on what's not seen? You might not see the Father in you, but you believe it and you know it and you declare it and you hold to it in your thought life. And you, and you, and you cause it to be a foremost thought in your daily life as you meditate on these things that will show up in this realm when you understand that I am focused on who I am in him, even though I don't see Him, I know this. I'm focusing on what is unseen, and it will change what. What I do see. Amen. Well, Jesus made the statement. He said, the words that I speak, they're not of myself, but they are of. They are the Father. Then he said this, but the Father that dwelleth in Me, he does the works. So notice Jesus recognized that he was not drawing his words from Himself, and he also wasn't drawing the works from Himself. He was drawing his words from the Father. And therefore God's works got in his words and begin to manifest as healing and power and demonstrations. I want you to know that miracles are not just for the pulpit. They're for you every day, that they are to manifest through you. And you're to believe because the Father's in Me. The miracles flow through me. Why you can't separate God from the impossible. I want you to know that the impossible is not any kind of problem to the Father. Why? Because everything is possible in his realm. And when you talk about the Father, you're talking about all things are possible. Amen. I want you to see something here. Let's go to Philippians, chapter one. We were in this in a previous episode, but let's go back and visit it again because we want to get more out of it. Philippians, chapter 1. In verse 11, Paul was writing and he said, being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ. What's by Jesus Christ? The fruits are by Jesus Christ. And look at this. Unto the glory and praise of God. So the fruits are going to bring praise and glory to God, but the fruits are brought about because of Jesus Christ, because we're one with him. Because he's in us. We're in Him. We're going to have fruit that's going to show up. Now, notice this. Paul calls it fruits of righteousness. But sometimes people might not understand or might just really read over that phrase without giving it much, much thought. So when Paul is talking about fruits of righteousness, could we not say good works of righteousness? Well, know this. You're right with the Father. And because you're right with the Father, our life is to produce works that, that are different than before we were born again. Now, I want to say this. None of us are saved by good works. It's only by Jesus good works that we're saved. He paid the price. He shed his blood. He's the one that brought us into oneness with the Father. He's the one that is our righteousness. We're right with God not because we have done everything right, but because Jesus did everything right and he took the righteousness that was his and he credited that righteousness to us. So because we are right with the Father, you know what that means? We have access to the Father. We can come boldly to the throne of grace. The throne is a place of obtaining. The throne is the place of receiving what we need from God. Because we're children of the throne. We belong to the throne. We belong at the throne because we are righteous with God. Now, because we are right with God, there should be evidence that we're right with God. And that evidence is going to show up as good works. Now, God expects us to produce good works. You're not saved by good works, but once you're saved, good works are everything because that is the fruit of our life. Remember what Jesus said. You will know them by their fruit. Now, couldn't we say this? You will know people by their works, by their good works. You know, as pastoring for 25 years, I appreciate the people that would attend our church that say, I love Jesus. That's wonderful. But I wanted them to show that love by doing something in the. I wanted them serving in the local church. When you love Someone, you do something, and I want you to know that's what fruits of righteousness are. We love God, we are one with him. And we're going to show that through doing something to say we love God, but do nothing for the body of Christ. Do nothing. In our local church, those two don't go together because when we love someone, we don't just say something, we do something. And so Jesus said here that God is glorified, that he is. He receives praise and glory by our good works. So when we're not doing good works, God's being robbed. He's being robbed of the glory and the praise that belongs to Him. But notice these good works don't come from us, because Philippians 1, verse 11 says that these work, these fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, he's the one that that empowers, enables us to produce these good works. But when we stand before God, we will answer for whether or not we fulfilled the good works that we're called to. Now let's go over again to Ephesians, chapter 2 and verse 10. This is the amplified classic translation Paul was writing. And he said, for we are God's own handiwork, his workmanship. And that workmanship showed up as in the next verse. We were recreated in Christ Jesus. So that's what he worked in us. He recreated us in his own image. And then it says this, we were born anew. Look at this. That we may do. I want you to know faith turns you into a doer. If you say you have faith, then that means you're doing something. And so the more we have faith, the more that's going to show up through what we do. So he said, born anew, that we may do those. Look at this, good works which God predestined or planned beforehand for us. Do you know that when, when you were born again, God had already planned certain works that you were to carry out certain fruit that your life was to produce. Because now you're right with Him. Your life is supposed to be full of fruits of righteousness or good works, because you're right with Him. We'll give an account for whether or not we fulfilled those. That means this. The plan of God is not optional to me. The plan of God is mandatory for me. But I want you to know it's the plan of God that gives us the absolute best life. And so we are God planned beforehand that there are certain things that we're to bring to this earth, certain things that we're to supply in the body of Christ. The Word tells us that God has, has fitly joined us together as it pleased him. Now every Christian has two ministries, one in the church or in the local church and one outside the local church with the world. What does that mean? That means when we're out among the world, we're out among the unsaved. Our ministry there is to tell them you need a Savior and you have one and we tell them about Jesus. That's one ministry. If we could call it outside the local church, that every person is to do. But every minute, every believer also has a ministry in the church. And what does that mean? We're bringing a supply to the body of Christ. Some people get into the thinking, well I, you know, I do evangelistic type work and that's all I do. Well, that's not what the Word says. The Bible says that we are to, we are fitly joined together and we are to bring our supply where it pleased God to set us. He set us in the body. He didn't set set us in the world. So you can't just take your ministry to the world and make it a substitute for our ministry in the Body of Christ. We have a, we have a ministry to the body of Christ as well as outside the body of Christ. So that means how can we ever fulfill that ministry to the Body of Christ unless we're part of a local church? That's what we're going to have to do. We have to be part of the, of a local church so that we have good works of righteousness. We're to produce something in that local church. We don't just sit back and think attendance is enough. No more than just being a member of a family is enough. Every family member has responsibilities within that family of something to bring to that family. Even so, the family of God, we have a responsibility to produce good works. And if we don't, we'll get in trouble with God because we're not fulfilling the plan that he predestined for us before we were ever born again. So know this. We have a ministry in the local church as well as outside the local church. Now I want to talk about real quickly. My husband, when he got born again, he, he was born again on Sunday mornings. A co worker invited him to church and that night he went back to the pastor after he was born again that morning and he said, pastor, he said, I've been living for 25 years for the devil, but now that I belong to Jesus, I want to do something for him. Now look at that, already thinking, right, I want to do something. I want you to know that God turns us into doers. Faith turns us into doers. Not just somebody that appreciates that we're born again, but someone that does something. So my husband, even though he was a baby Christian, just born again that day, he said, now that I belong to Jesus, I want to do something for him. What can I do? Now listen to what the pastor said. He said, I don't have anyone in the church that will clean the restrooms. Now, look at that. There were several hundred people in that church, but none of them would clean the restrooms. Why is that? Because somebody. Some people think that certain works are beneath them. But I want you to know, anything that blesses anyone, it's not beneath us. And so my husband said, that's my job. I'll do it. So he began his ministry by cleaning the restrooms in the local church. He was so faithful with that that the pastor appreciated those good works. How many of you know, you say that's not a good work. That is absolutely a good work because it's not the task that elevates you, it's the honor with which you do the task that elevates the task. And so that task, he did not think it beneath him. If people think a task is beneath them, they need to renew their mind. They need to realize that it's the honor I do the task with that elevates that task. So my husband did that for years. He was the one who cleaned the restrooms in the local church. But it so blessed the pastor that he turned him into a door greeter. Then he turned him into an elder in the local church. And while he was serving one day as an usher, an elder in that local church, they were receiving communion together as a congregation. My husband was holding the juice and the. And the bread, the elements of communion. And my husband said to God one day, he said, God, I don't even understand what communion is all about. And so while he stood there, all of a sudden, when he said that, he had a vision. And the ceiling of that. That church building disappeared. And he. He had a vision of seeing Jesus hanging on a cross. And while he had that vision, he was seeing words fly through the air. And they would strike Jesus body. And every time a word would strike Jesus body, his whole body would jolt. And my husband said, at first I could read the words because they were coming slow. He said it was words of sickness, words of disease, words like cancer, tuberculosis, arthritis. And he said the words were Coming slowly at first. And he said, all of a sudden they came so fast. He said there was no way I could read them. Words I recognized words I didn't recognize. And he said, I saw the sickness of humanity being laid on Jesus. Now see, that happened because he was serving in his local church. When we serve and we're doing something, we're positioning ourselves to see something further, that God will reveal something further to those who are doing something further. So my husband, years later, when we were pastoring and of course he, he went on to become, he went into full time ministry. Almost 50 years in the full time ministry. It didn't begin in the pulpit, it began cleaning the restroom. The good works of cleaning the restroom. People would not ever think that that's a good work, but you know, it's serving just we're, you know, can I say this? I love something that I heard God, a preacher say. And this is something that God said to this preacher. This preacher was saying, oh God, I want to be a traveling minister. And all that you've opened up before me is to lead a Bible study, but I want to be a traveling minister. And God said, your problem is you're too call conscious. You need to learn to do what's right in front of you. I like that. So many times people think, well, I'll only do this if I'm called to this or if I'm called to that or if I'm called to this. God's called you to good works, so just do what good works are right in front of you. When God wanted to promote someone into a healing anointing, he found my husband, who was doing the good works of cleaning in the local church, just putting his hand to something. And because he did that, God revealed to him this vision he got to see. I haven't ever seen that vision, but my husband saw the sickness and disease of humanity being laid on Jesus. Years later in pastoring our church, my husband was holding a miracle service in our church. And he began relaying in the service that vision that he had seen decades before when Jesus was hanging on a cross and saw those words of sickness and disease being laid on him. And this is what my husband said when he told that vision. He said, this is how God taught me about divine healing. We went home from the service that night. It was probably about 8:30 and I walked upstairs. We had been home a while and I walked upstairs and my husband was already in bed. And I had just come upstairs from downstairs. And when I walked in the room, my Husband said, honey, come lay your hand on me. I said, why? He said, I'm sick. And so I went over and I laid my hands on him and prayed for him. And when I walked out of the room, he told me later, he said, God said to me, because he said to God, he said, God, where did I open the door? Now listen to what God said to him. He said, tonight, when you were telling the vision of seeing the sickness and disease being laid on Jesus, you said this. This is how God taught me about divine healing. He said, I didn't show you that to teach you. I showed you that so you could teach everyone. And he said, because you treat it as something just for you, you're not telling it to others. And look at that. That was disobedience. Because part of the good works was he was to declare what Jesus bore for humanity. And he said, you're not telling what I showed you because you're treating it just like it belongs to you. I want you to know your righteousness doesn't just belong to you. It belongs to the good works that you're to produce. And those good works are to make a difference in someone else's life. So ever since then, I learned my lesson. I even tell the things he's seen because just because he's not here to tell it, I am. I see myself as a steward of the things that God showed him so that others can know it. Because God wasn't just showing him. He was showing someone in the earth. And I'm in the earth. So I make sure that I tell it. Because I know this. What God has authorized me to see and hear and learn is not just for my life. It's so that I can turn that into good works and my life can be full of the fruits of righteousness. And I want you to know, God has taught you. He has shown you, he has given you revelation out of His Word. And it's not just for your life. It's not just so you can have a better life and your family can have a better life. Yes, it begins there, but it doesn't end there. Our lives are to be full of the fruit of good works, because once we're born again, good works are everything. And we will stand before Jesus and we will either show him a life full of the fruits of righteousness or a life that is diminished or lacking in good works. Well, I don't know about you, but I know this. I was not made one with Christ just so my life could be better. I was made one with Christ. So everyone I come in contact has the opportunity to receive of him that dwells in me. Jesus in his earthly ministry did nothing for himself. Everything he did, everything that was worked through him was not worked for Him. It was worked for everyone he came in contact. With Jesus life was simply a life full of the fruits of righteousness because he was in union with His Father. He was one with His Father, and miracles were the result of that oneness. Many times people say, I want to see miracles. I want to be a part of miracles. Then you're going to have to do some good works that's going to bless somebody beside your life because God will manifest his power through those who are full of the fruits of righteousness. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until then, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Podcast Summary: Jesus the Healer w/ Nancy Dufresne – Episode 955 | In Christ I Can, Part 195
Release Date: February 27, 2026
This episode of "Jesus the Healer" with Nancy Dufresne, titled “In Christ I Can, Part 195,” continues a year-long exploration of the believer’s identity in Christ. Nancy focuses on the transformative power of understanding one’s union with Jesus, the call to manifest “fruits of righteousness” (good works), and how these truths impact both personal faith and wider ministry. Drawing from Scripture and personal testimonies, Nancy encourages listeners to actively translate their newfound identity in Christ into tangible service both within and outside the local church.
Nancy Dufresne (00:17): “Say ‘I receive that power. I receive it right now from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.’”
“The Word just gives us the best life…People who have lost all hope in life can go to the Word and get all the hope they need.”
“Don’t just download them, feed on them if you will. Find out, feed on who you are in Christ. Establish that in your spirit; it will rewrite everything about the way you live your life.”
“If Jesus needed to do that, we need to do that. That’s what needs to be magnified in our life—our oneness with Him.” (06:22)
“I’m not trying to break through something—Jesus was the great breakthrough.” (06:45)
“The way we speak is revealing who we’re mindful of. The problem with a lot of people is they’re talking about what they’re facing instead of who they’re facing.”
“The spiritually mature…are always focusing on that which is not seen. You might not see the Father in you, but you believe it and you know it and you declare it.” (10:50)
“You’re not saved by good works, but once you’re saved, good works are everything because that is the fruit of our life.” (15:30)
“When you love someone, you do something…We have a responsibility to produce good works.” (19:00)
“He began his ministry by cleaning the restrooms in the local church…It’s not the task that elevates you, it’s the honor with which you do the task that elevates the task.” (22:20)
“Because you treat it as something just for you, you’re not telling it to others…Your righteousness doesn’t just belong to you. It belongs to the good works that you’re to produce.” (25:22)
“I was not made one with Christ just so my life could be better. I was made one with Christ so everyone I come in contact has the opportunity to receive of Him that dwells in me.” (26:35)
Nancy Dufresne speaks with warmth, directness, and a mix of teaching and storytelling. Her tone is encouraging, pastoral, and at times corrective, always pointing to Scripture and practical application.
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne passionately encourages listeners not just to know their identity in Christ, but to manifest it through active service and good works both inside and outside the local church. She underscores that such fruit is both the privilege and the evidence of the reborn believer—fulfilling God’s plan and bringing glory to Him through everyday acts of obedience and love.
