There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

I receive it right now.

From the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. Thank you for taking the time to be with us. And just know that anytime we give toward the Word, my goodness, what a harvest. Going to get back on that Word. Amen. And so we're in the midst of our series called In Christ I Can, and we've been on it coming up to a year now. And I am so thankful the Holy Ghost has led us this way because it is such a rich, it's such a rich flow of the life of the believer. Whenever we find out who we are in Christ and know this, that it is the foundation of our redemption. If people do not understand who they are in Christ and what belongs to them because they're in Christ, they're going to struggle unnecessarily in this life. And when we find out who we are in Christ, that puts away every poor self image. It puts away any sense of condemnation. Because in Christ there is no shame, there is no guilt, there is no condemnation. And the Father sees us without any condemnation. Why? Because he sees us in Christ and we need to see ourselves as he sees us. And know this, if people are living under a sense of condemnation over their past and over things that have happened in their life, they're invited to renew their minds to who they are in Christ. Because we are not trying to outrun a poor self image. We're not trying to outrun a sense of condemnation. We are to, we are to walk in victory over that. Because that is the flow of the devil who is always trying to bring us into a sense of condemnation. And that called really sin consciousness. Always, always mindful of where they missed it, of their shortcomings, their failures, their faults, their weaknesses. Why does the devil try to hold the believer in a sense of condemnation? Because he knows that if he can, then our faith won't work right. And he knows this, that it's by faith that we receive from God. We need our faith to work right. And I'll say this, I've said it before, but it's so important for us to learn. Anytime God is endeavoring to bring us into the. Into the next thing that he has for us, maybe a new season in life, a new season in ministry, he's bringing us into a greater place of advancement. The devil is always going to send an attack of condemnation because he knows that if he can get you under a sense of condemnation about your past, about your own weaknesses, that it will cripple your faith because it takes faith to move forward into the next thing God has for us. And the devil's trying to stop our advancement. That's what Paul said over in First Corinthians, chapter 16, verse 9. He said, A great and effectual door is opened unto me. But there are many adversaries, so notice this at the door of more, at the door of increase, at the door of the next thing God has for us. The devil has already stationed many adversaries. But we're not to be held back by those adversaries as we renew our mind to who we are in Christ. Those adversary strategies don't work against the one who knows who they are in Christ. Amen. And so any poor self image, any sense of sin consciousness, any sense of condemnation and guilt and shame, and all of that is an invitation to renew your mind to who you are in Christ and who he is in you. You are victorious in this life because you're good. We're victorious because he's good. Amen. And so we are partakers of his goodness. And the devil's always trying to point to how we're not good enough. Well, I want you to know he's our goodness. Amen. And so we can come up and walk in the light of who he has made us to be. And this is the life that's in Christ. And that's why it's so important that we've been on this for a period of time, because it helps us to really live the life God authored for us. We've been looking in the previous episodes at our faith life. Why is that? Because everything that is ours in Christ, we partake of it by faith. And there are components to our faith. There's ingredients to our faith. And we've been looking at some of that. And we can look at this. We were stating in the previous episode One characteristic about faith is faithful listens. If you're a faith person, you're teachable, you'll listen to someone who knows God better than you. You don't. We don't become a know it all. If we become a know it all, we're going to be held outside of God's best. But we have to be someone who listens to those who know God better than us. We have to be someone who's teachable and not think that the way we think is always correct. Well, if it's in line with the Word, it's correct. But if it's not in line with the Word, we're invited to come up higher and to change. So faith listens. Faith is teachable. Another thing is faith is quick to believe. And that is we are easily persuaded when we see that it's in the Word. We're not critical, we're not pessimistic. We don't go to church with a critical ear. We don't, if I could say this, constantly critique our pastor. That doesn't mean we're gull, but it does mean this. That we're quick to believe and we're easy to persuade when we see that it's the Word. Amen. Then not only that faith hears, we have to hear what the Word says. Well, that goes back to being teachable. That goes back to listening. Amen. That we have to hear. Because in the hearing, faith comes into our hearts. But once faith comes, faith has to be released so that we can receive what God has provided for us. And if I could say this, many times people are trying to get more faith when they really just need to perform the act of receiving. What is the act of receiving? We say, I believe, I receive, that the Word shows it to me. That's mine in Christ. So I receive and I become a partaker of what he's already made it my present possession. And so faith is quick to receive. Amen. Faith performs the act of receiving. There needs to be a point in time when you look back and you say in the face of a need, I remember last Monday or last Saturday or last Wednesday, I released my faith for that answer. Well, see, perform the act of receiving. And it's not just about getting more faith. It's about releasing that faith through performing the act of receiving. How do you perform the act? I believe I receive. You say, I believe I receive. And once you say that, now you act in line with those words you just said. Since you believe that you receive, you act like it. So faith Faith has a confession, but it also has an action. And so our confession is to lead us to our actions of faith. Then not only that, faith stands its ground from the time it releases its faith until the time our manifestation comes. So we are holding fast. Now, this is where I'm eventually going to arrive at. We're going to spend some time teaching about holding fast. Because if we don't know how to hold fast, everything that we that belongs to us in Christ will be robbed from us if we don't know how to hold fast. So from the time we release our faith until the time our answer comes into manifestation, we're standing our ground. We're holding fast. And that's when Ephesians says, having done all to see, stand, stand. And I would say this, that people think that the Word is only working if their answer is manifesting. Well, I say this. Standing our ground is as much a part of the Word as receiving our answer is part of the Word. Receiving our manifestation is part of the Word. Anytime you're standing on the standing your ground on the Word of God before your manifestation comes, you're a doer of the Word. The Word is working in you. Your faith is working. So know this. Faith performs the act of receiving, but faith also stands its ground until that manifestation comes. But once that manifestation is received, I will say this. You have to learn to also hold fast so that that which you've received from God isn't stolen from you. People have the idea that, well, if God gave it to me, then I'll always have it. No, because there's a devil out there who comes to steal, kill and destroy is what John chapter 10 and verse 10 says. So know this, once you've received it, you can always maintain it. You can always hold fast to it. But don't think that means the devil's going to leave you alone. It means that he will try to come back and try to steal from you what God's blessed you with. But faith has a hold. It will hold fast to what it's received so that what it's received isn't stolen. It doesn't have to be stolen. But know this, the strategy of the enemy is he's going to come back with a counterattack to try to steal what you've been blessed with. That shouldn't frighten you. That should fortify you in the sense of, I know that that's mine and I'm not letting go of it. Amen. So strong faith isn't only interested in receiving its need met, but strong Faith is. It also refuses to lose anything. It refuses to be stolen from. And too many times we put up with stuff being stolen from us, and we shouldn't. And if we've allowed it to be stolen, we can take it back. I said we can take it back. Because I can look at my life and see, well, I laid down some things, I put up with some things, but we can recognize, wait a minute. I've been putting up with too much. I'm going to go back and I'm going to lay hold of what God's already made mine. Amen. Because everything you receive from God, the devil is busy trying to steal it from you. That's why we have to hold fast. The Word wouldn't tell us to hold fast if there weren't an enemy out trying to steal it from us. Amen. So when something is received from God, an answer, a supply, a peace that belongs to us, but yet over time, it begins to diminish. That means maybe symptoms come back. That means maybe something of the old tries to come back and we see our stand of faith or our answer diminishing. Then we have to say this. Where is the leak? What have I done wrong? Where? What is the remedy? And I would say this. It's primarily in this phrase of holding fast, that if we don't hold fast, that which we've received from God can diminish in our life. Now go with me, if you would, to Hebrews, chapter one. Hebrews chapter one and verse one. This is the King James translation, and it says, God, who at sundry times and in divers manners he spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets he hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds. Look at verse three. Who being the brightness of his glory and the express image of his person. What's this mean? It means that when you see Jesus, you're seeing the Father. That the way Jesus moved, that was the image he was expressing, the image and the flow of God himself. So look at verse three. Again it says, who being the brightness of his glory. So we could say Jesus was the brightness of God's glory and the express image of God's person. And look at this. Upholding all things by the word of his power. So this world that it's spoken of in verse two, that Jesus, he was part of making, he made the worlds that we see. But notice once the worlds were made, he didn't just walk off and leave it, it says in verse three, he upholds all things. What's that mean? Once he puts something in place, he sees to it that it stays in place. Now aren't we glad because we have a whole solar system out here that if one planet gets out of, gets out of rotation, one planet gets out of place, what happens? It's going to affect the whole. So we see this about, about God, when He made the worlds, he didn't just walk off and leave it. He upholds it by the word of his power. So what's that mean? He holds fast. He will not allow the enemy to upset or uproot this system of the universe that he put in place of the solar system he put in place. So know this. What was created by God still has to be upheld by God. Well, what we've received by faith still has to be upheld by faith. And that's what I want you to see. Many don't know. Many would know rather. Kenneth Hagin's healing testimony. Kenneth Hagin was a spiritual father to my husband and I for decades. And many don't realize that he was raised up off of his deathbed when he was 15 years old, he ended up being on his deathbed. He was born with a deformed heart. He was born with an entire deformed chest cavity on the inside. He was deformed that things weren't wired in the right place. And so not only that, then he had an incurable blood disease. So he had three different things that could have caused him any one of those three a premature death. And by the time he was 15, he was completely bedridden. But he began to find out the Word of God. He began to find out that healing belonged to God's people. And so he believed God for his healing. He followed the Holy Ghost who was tutoring him into receiving his healing by faith. And within 16 months, he was raised up off his deathbed, completely healed. And after that he was in high school during that time. And when he was raised up off of his Deathbed, he weighed 89 pounds. Can you imagine? He was over 6ft tall and weighed 89 pounds. He looked like a skeleton. But he had been bedridden for a year and a half. So you can understand how he would be so thin. And so he said he would have to walk back to school. And he said there were days he felt like he couldn't put one foot in front of the other because you can understand just his natural strength had been compromised from having been bedridden for so long. And so he would walk back to school, and there were steps at his school that he would have to climb to go into the different classrooms. And he said that at times he felt like he was going to fall over. And so people would ask him, they said, how do you feel? Does your heart give you any more trouble? And he would say, well, sometimes it does. And after a period, a short period of time after having been raised up, he said he almost ended up completely bedridden again. Now, before he had paralysis. This time, the paralysis hadn't come back, but his heart was in such a weakened condition that he said he was almost completely bedridden. And so he looked to the Lord and he said, lord, I'm missing it somewhere. Where am I missing it? And he realized that when he was raised up off of his deathbed, he believed healing belonged to him while his heart still wasn't beating right. See, he could feel that his heart was beating inconsistently. But in the face of that, he said, I believe I receive healing even when my heart isn't beating right. I say my heart does beat right. I say that my heart is healed. And he found out he realized where he was missing it. Because after he was raised up and he was in such a weakened condition, his body hadn't built back the strength yet, people would ask him, does your heart give you any more trouble? And he would say, well, yes, it does. So he realized, wait a minute. I'm having two confessions. I'm believing I'm healed. I'm up by faith, but I'm taking. I'm taking notice of my heart. And then people will ask me, how you doing? Yes, I still have heart conditions. But see, he had to get rid of two confessions and have only one confession. And so what was he doing? He wasn't holding fast to thank God I'm healed. In the face of circumstances, in the face of feeling heart condition again, he was to hold fast to what the word said and not be swayed because of what he felt in his body. So he realized that he was missing it. And when he read this passage in First Thessalonians, chapter 5 and verse 21, the King James translation says this. Prove all things, hold fast that which is good. Well, how many of you know his healing was good, that being raised up off that deathbed was good? A heart that beat correctly was good. But when the heart tried to get out of. Tried to get out of rhythm again, tried to misbehave again, he instead of saying, no, you don't, he said, well, yes, I'm having heart symptoms again. So whenever he would have a separate confession other than what the Word said, then he began to have. He began to find himself almost completely bedridden. So what was it he realized he's leaving out? This component of holding fast. Faith holds fast. It refuses to let go of what it's received from God. What's it mean to hold fast? It means hold hard to it. Don't let it go. And you go, well, I don't quite know what that means. Have you ever seen two toddlers wanting the same toy? I mean, one walks up, they have a toy, another one sees it, decides they want it, and, man, the tug of war is on. And they'll start screaming, and then some will start scratching, biting, hitting, whatever. To hold fast, I want you to know, to hold fast, you will scream, you will hit, you will do whatever. I'm not talking about with people, but I'm talking about with the adversary. You will not be passive. You won't just stand back and not. And be apathetic. You will take any action you need to take. You'll get aggressive about it. Holding fast means you get aggressive. He had two opposing testimonies or confessions, and when he did, it almost put him back in a bedridden condition. But after he learned to have only one confession instead of two, he said all the symptoms left. Whenever he said, no, I hold fast that my body works right. My heart is still healed. See, just because you can. Well, let me say it to you this way. The body healing doesn't begin with the body. Don't check the body to see if you're healed. Healing begins with the Word. You check the Word, the Word says you're healed. And when you agree with the Word in your spirit, then that agreement will start affecting your body. And then the body will pick up what you believe and agree to in your spirit. So brother Hagin, when he'd have heart condition, he would just say, no, I believe I receive my healing. And that's called holding fast to it. Amen. So what enables us to hold fast and to not let go of something? It's by ongoing feeding on the Word and confessing it. You may want to hold fast, but if we're not feeding on the Word, we're not going to be stirred up to hold fast. We're not going to be strengthened. There won't be any strength in our hold. Feeding on the Word on a continual basis and confessing it keeps anything that we've received from God from being stolen from us. So what's this mean? Listen, in 25 years of pastoring, I've seen that people would come to the church whenever they were faced with a great difficulty, a great tragedy, great opposition, and absolutely they should run to God. They should run to the church. But I would see that after they sat under the Word and that word caused them to rise above those circumstances and that problem was no more in place, then I recognized that they would quit attending. Why was that? They weren't holding fast. And if they don't hold fast, the devil's going to come with a counterattack, and then they won't be fortified in the face of the devil. So just know this. We have to hold fast to what we received. That means we have to be continually feeding our faith. Just because we received our answer and the manifestation doesn't mean we get to relax our faith. But we're ever saying, thank God for my healing. Thank God. And not because we're afraid of it being lost, but because we know how the enemy works. And we're keeping ourselves fed and we're keeping ourselves fortified with the word of God. Anytime we have backed up on standing our ground, we've quit hearing as much as we should have. When we. When we aren't taking in the hearing of the Word, it causes us to be passive and less than aggressive with our faith. So keep feeding on the word. So brother Hagin would also testify that he would again go back to one confession, that his heart. Then that heart would start beating right as it ought. And he said that one time after he was raised up off the deathbed, his principal called him in to his office, and he was there in his high school years. And so the principal said to him, he said, ken, do you think that you ought to be back in school and attending class? And brother Hagin, you know, as a. He was 16 and a half, he said, yes, and listen, the principal's name was Mr. Smart. What a good name for a schoolteacher or principal, right? He was called Mr. Smart. And he said, Mr. Smart, he said. He said, God has healed me. And Mr. Smart said, well, some of the teachers have talked to your doctor. And the doctor said, I guarantee you he'll be dead in 90 days. And the doctor said to these teachers, I guarantee you that boy has the strongest willpower of anyone I've ever seen. Well, the teacher talked to the doctor because they were afraid that he would fall dead in their class, and they didn't want to have to deal with that kind of situation. So Mr. Smart, the school principal, said, do you think you ought to come to school. Why don't you just stay home? And Brother Hagin made this statement to him. He said, Mr. Smart, I'm not up by willpower. I'm up by faith. Now listen to what he said. And my faith will hold. Look at that. My faith will hold. See, he decided to hold before symptoms showed up. He decided to hold before that old familiar weakness showed up. Brother Hagin even said. He said there were days I'd be sitting in class and I'd be looking at the blackboard as the teacher was teaching, and he'd say I'd go blind sitting right there in class. And he said my eyesight would leave for a period of time, then he'd come back. And he said, just in the middle of that, he said, I'd just say, no, you don't. I've received my healing and I'm not taking. I'm not going to allow my healing to be stolen from me. And he just kept going. That's called acting in faith. That if you just. If you think you're going to receive everything just by reading the Bible and confessing it, well, that's part of it. But you have to have actions. And so he would not miss any school. So the principal said to him, he said, kenneth, he said, that's. He said, that's. That's a faith I don't understand that you have. But he said, let me just say this. If you ever feel like not coming to class, just don't come. He said, if you're in class and you feel like you need a drink of water, don't even ask the teacher. Just get up and go out and get a drink of water. And Brother Hagin said, but what he doesn't realize is I can't get up and go get a drink of water because a healed man doesn't need to get up and leave the class. He said he was really giving me permission to yield to my flesh. But he says I would not. I would not take. Take him up on any of those offers because a healed man doesn't need to leave the class. A healed man doesn't need to miss school. And after. After a short amount of time, all the heart symptoms, all the blindness, all the different things that had been showing up little by little, all went away because he held fast. I want you to know, when we receive what belongs to us in Christ, we have to hold fast to it so that the devil doesn't steal it from us. Amen. Well, God bless you. We're so grateful you joined us today and remember this until next time Time Jesus is the Healer.
