There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the healer. And it is our complete joy to spend this time with you around the Word. And we thank God for the Word because it gives us the best life. And we're not just learning what the Word says, but we're also learning how to be better doers of that Word because thank God for what the Word teaches us. But it's so we can live the Word. And so we thank you for joining us today. And we are in the middle of our series called In Christ I Can. And we've been on it for almost a year now. And we are three thankful for what God has been showing us and teaching us in Christ. Everything is ours, everything that we're going to need in this life. God deposited our supply, our provision, everything we're going to need, he deposited it in our treasure box of Jesus. And then he put Jesus in us and us in Him. And that means that we're to never do without or be deficient in any arena in any way. God, because he is our sufficiency. And so we've been teaching on in Christ. What belongs to us is also the faith of God. And how many of you know that? All that he's made ours as in Christ, by faith we activate that by faith we receive it. And so we have to understand what our faith is meant to accomplish and what our faith is meant to do. And one of the things that belongs to us in Christ is, is the faith of God. Not just human faith, but divine faith. God gave us the measure of his own faith, and it's up to us to develop it, strengthen it, and live by that divine faith that's on the inside of us. So we've been talking about that faith, and one of the things that we were talking about is faith Knows how to hold fast from the time you release your faith until your answer comes, comes into manifestation. What are we going to do during that span of time? We're going to hold fast to the word of God. Not only that, after we've received our answer, after our answer comes into manifestation, we're still going to hold fast. Because God said something to me years ago. He said, if you believe everything the devil tells you, he'll steal from you everything I've ever blessed you with. So know this, that the devil is constantly trying to steal from us everything God's blessed us with. And people will erroneously think, well, if God does it, it's done forever. Well, it should be and could be, but it's up to us holding fast so that we don't allow something God provided to be stolen from us. John 10:10, Jesus revealed how Satan works. And he said, the thief comes not but for to steal, to kill and to destroy. But I have come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. So know this. But so what? Because Jesus came, and so what Jesus came brought us far more than any injury that the devil could bring in his coming. So we need to be occupied with the right one coming. That means be occupied with what God's doing in your life and not be occupied with what the enemy's doing against your life. And so we have to learn what our attention should go on. And it's life and death, what we put our attention on. And what we put our attention on is going to also affect our faith. So there again we've been. Go back and watch the last few episodes if you missed them, because we're talking about a faith that holds fast. Strong faith isn't only interested in receiving from God, but it refuses to allow anything to be stolen from it. So how many of you know we're not weak in our hold, we're strong in our hold. And we say, we refuse to be stolen from. What you receive from God has to be upheld by. By faith. You received it by faith, but we have to uphold it by faith. Because the devil always comes and tries to launch a counter attack against us to try to see if we will let go of what we've received from God. But just that's nothing to be feared. It's just something to be forewarned about so you can be forearmed. And so this is what we've been ministering on. Because faith not only receives from God, but it holds fast in 1st Thessalonians, chapter 5, in verse 21. And this is the King James translation. It says this. Prove all things, hold fast that which is good. Notice if we. If what we receive from God was going to be held to automatically, why would he tell us to hold fast to it? He's letting us know there's an enemy arrayed against what we've received from God. But we are to hold fast to that which is good. Hold fast means to hold hard. Don't waver, don't let go of it. To hold fast includes daily releasing our faith. It's a lifestyle of faith. It's not just moments of faith. Faith is how we live. It says the word, tells us the just shall live by faith. He's talking about a lifestyle there. What enables us to hold fast is ongoing feeding on the word and confessing it and acting on it. So we are to always keep that word in our mouth. We're always to have the confession of the word. And let me just say this, the testimony and confession of our life. It is life to our faith that we should constantly be saying, God is doing this. In my life, God is doing that. In my life, God is doing this. He's moving this way. He's moving in my family. He's restoring my health. We constantly and daily are to make our affirmations, our confessions and our testimonies of faith. Because it is life to our faith. It will keep our faith quickened and stirred up. Anytime we have backed up on standing our ground, it's because we quit hearing the word Amen. So we need to keep hearing. And if you can look at your situation in your life and say, you know what? I've yielded too much to the devil, I've given up too much to the devil, I. Things have been stolen from me. Well, if you. If you gave the devil a place, you can take it back. And anything that you have allowed him to steal from you, you can take back. Amen. I want us to look at Hebrews chapter three and verse five, and this is the King James translation. It reads, and Moses verily was faithful in all his house as a servant for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after. But Christ as a son over his own house, whose house are we? Look at that. We are his house. If we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope, firm unto the end. So notice this. We are to hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope, firm unto the end. I would say this. Look at the words, hold fast and rejoicing, rejoicing assists us in holding Fast that that's one way we hold fast that when we're rejoicing. Father, I thank you for all the provision to pay for these needs. I thank you for all the money that comes to pay for my situation to pay for these bills. As you rejoice as you rejoice as you rejoice that is you testifying and that is going to help us to hold fast. We don't hold fast with worry we don't hold fast with fear. We hold fast with rejoicing. So this verse coupled our holding fast. The confidence and the rejoicing coupled them together. So we shouldn't separate them. We should make them both the flow of our life. If we're holding fast, we're rejoicing. Look at that. How do you know if you're holding fast? If you're rejoicing, you're rejoicing. Father, I thank you that needs met. I thank you that my body is healed and we're rejoicing over it. Then we know we're holding fast. If we're not rejoicing, we're not holding fast. There was a testimony. I saw this back during the 1970s. Oh, yes, I was alive back then.

And so it was well over 50 years ago, you know, and I was watching. It was a medical doctor that he was giving his testimony on a Christian television station one day. And he was on the second story of a building and something of the railing broke and he fell over the balcony and he fell to his death. And they took him up and he suffered great physical damage. Well, the doctors were able to bring him back, but there was so much dam his body. And so every day he would just worship God and thank God for the body parts working, for his healing from the accident, the severity of that accident. And he just kept releasing his faith as he rejoiced. He would just rejoice and rejoice and rejoice. And every single day he kept improving. He praised God daily for complete restoration. Well, he decided at one point to do an experiment. After a couple of years, he always woke up just worshiping God. And that was his first response of the day. He would just wake up worshiping God, walking around his bedroom and thanking God and praising God for his goodness and raising him up. And so one day he decided, if I leave off rejoicing, what will happen to my body? So he just did a little bit of a spiritual experiment. And he decided, I'm going to take the next five days and I'm not going to do any rejoicing and I want to see what will happen. By the fifth day, he was almost completely bedridden again. And his wife came in and found him in bed and said, what is the matter with you? And she was really quite disturbed by it. Troubled by it. He said, oh, no, don't be concerned about it. He said, I just decided to do an experiment. What would happen to my health if I quit rejoicing? And so he saw within five days he was almost completely bedridden again. And so after he saw that's what the lack of rejoicing did for him. And so he just. He just sat up in that bed that morning, that fifth morning, he began to rejoice and rejoice and rejoice. And within a short time all the symptoms were gone again. And I so appreciate that he took that, that he took the time to experiment on that, because the Word tells us that his praise shall continually be in our mouth. Well, if the praise of God is continually in our mouth, what's that mean? Power is going to be flowing continually. God said to me years and years ago, he said, in the rejoicing power flows. So notice it's in the rejoicing or while you're rejoicing, power is flowing, but outside rejoicing power is not flowing. And so we have to make sure we're always staying in the rejoicing fl. That's why the Word says, I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth. He's talking about a lifestyle flow that we must give ourselves the spiritual habit of worshiping and praising God. And so this doctor, he was the one who gave us a very true picture of what rejoicing will do for our life. Gratitude is imperative to holding fast to what we've received from God. Praising and worshiping God for what he's blessed you with will keep the devil from stealing from you. It's when we're mindless, when we're not watchful over what God's blessed us with, that the devil comes in and he steals from us. How many of you know a thief doesn't want to be watched while he's stealing? Well, neither does the devil. He wants to steal going unnoticed. He wants to steal from you without you recognizing that it's him. But praising and worshiping God keeps. Keeps the safeguard around our lives. Amen. And I just know that if we will be active in praising and worshiping God, that it will keep the power actively flowing and keep us in the flow of holding fast to what we've received from God. There was a testimony of a. A pastor friend of mine was telling me that he had a woman who visited his congregation one Sunday morning. And as he would, they would minister to the sick in their church. And they were always emphasizing Jesus as a healer in their ministry. And so he was in his Sunday morning service referring to Jesus the healer. And when he did, this woman who was a visitor, she was sitting off to the side and kind of toward the back of the auditorium. And she just stood up in an appropriate way. And she stood up and just began to worship God. Not out loud to where it distracted anyone, but she just raised her hands and quietly began worshiping God to herself. And so the pastor noticed that she kept, of course, attending the church. And after two years, he said, every time I would mention Jesus as healer, she would stand to her feet, no matter what part of the service they were in, and she would reverently raise her hands and worship Jesus. He said after a couple of years of her attending the church and doing that, he said, finally I asked her one day, he said, sister, I noticed that every time I mentioned Jesus as the healer that you began to worship God. Is there a story with that? And she said, yes, Pastor. She said, fifteen years ago, I was dying of cancer. And she said, Jesus healed me. And I can never think or hear of him spoken of as a healer. And me not acknowledged what he's done for me. And she says I have to stand up and rejoice and praise him and thank him for it. Do you know what she was doing? Yes, she was magnifying and bringing glory to God. But she was also keeping the devil from stealing what God had blessed her with. And too many times people lose what God has blessed them with because they're not watchful. And being grateful is one way of being watchful. So she made gratitude and worship and praise an ongoing flow throughout her day. She was always looking for the opportunity that when Jesus was referred to as healer, that she always took that opportunity to worship him and thank him. Now go with me, if you would. Let's look at Hebrews chapter 4 and verse 14. It says this, seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession or our confession. So notice this. In this passage we see because we have a great high priest, and that high priest is Jesus, that we can hold fast. What's that mean? We're certain that we're not going to lose anything because we have a high priest. If we will acknowledge that he is working for us. So Jesus, it says here, it says here that Jesus, he's our great high priest. So let us hold fast our profession or confession. Jesus is the great high priest of our confession. And how much we confess something demonstrates to our high priest our interest level. I love something that Norval Hayes, brother Norval Hayes was a man who had a story, strong healing ministry. And he said whenever you go to believe God for something that Jesus as the high priest for us in the presence of God will turn to the Father and say, they're believing for this. And God will say, how much have they confessed it? Because he is the high priest of our confession or of our profession. Notice it doesn't say he's the high priest of our faith. He is the high priest of our profession or our confession. Why? Why does it not say he's the high priest of our faith, but he's the high priest of our confession? It's because confession is faith released. He's not the high priest of faith that's not released. He's the high priest of faith that is released. So when we release our faith, it's his job to see to it that it comes to pass as our high priest. And how many of you know he's good at his job. And the more we confess it, the more he works, the more we confess it, the more we have it, the less we confess it, the less he works and the less we have it. So we're the ones that measure our, our manifestation to ourself by how much we confess it. I remember years ago that my sons, there's nine years age difference between them and my youngest one, he was probably about five or six years old. And in September he's of a particular year. He began telling me what he wanted for Christmas. And he had a way of. He would wait till I got in the car and then he would start talking and he'd describe he wanted a game system, you know, he wanted these video games. And he told me about every character and you know, I really didn't, I really wasn't interested in hearing about every character and what they would do. But he was so completely interested. And he knew that in the car with me driving, he had a captive audience. I couldn't go anywhere. And every time we got in there, he would say, mommy for Christmas, I want this and I want that. And he'd tell me about what all these game characters would do. And it was the exact same thing. Every time we got in the car, he Started that in October. And he kept going and going and going. And by several times in I said, yes, honey, I heard you. I thank you for telling me all that. I heard you last time. But that didn't stop him. He just kept telling me. And so he did that October, he did that November, he did that December. And so you can imagine what he got for Christmas, what he was constantly professing or talking about, because he was showing his interest level. Now, when it got to about October, the end of October, my other son, who was nine years older, he would have probably been about 14 or so, I said to him, what do you want for Christmas? And he, well, I don't know. Well, make me a list. What do you want for Christmas? And so I asked him in October, I asked him in November, I asked him in December, and he just had no answer for me. And so anyway, my husband and I were sitting at home one day in the family room, and my oldest son walked in and says, well, I know what I want for Christmas. And he told us what he wanted. And so my husband turned to me and said, are you going to get that? And he said. And I said, nope. I said, because he only asked once. He's not that interested in it. And so my husband said, well, he asked for it. I said, he only asked once, and he never brought it up again until after Christmas. And when he. Well, and when he didn't even get. I got him something else for Christmas, but he never even asked after Christmas, what about this or what about that? Because his interest level was so low. My husband said, well, you told him to tell you what he wanted. I said, yes, I did. But he's not that interested because he only said it once. And like I said, he never missed it. He didn't get it. He didn't ask why he didn't get it. Why? Because he wasn't that interested. Jesus is the high profession. He's the high priest of our profession. And the more interested we are in it, the more he has to take to the Father on our behalf. So we have to be interested enough to keep saying it, keep confessing it, keep calling it, holding fast. Listen, if we were interested, we won't let go of anything that's valuable to us. Amen. If we value it, we don't let it go. And so I saw that, that Jesus, he is the high priest of our profession, or can we say this? He's the high priest of what we express interest in. Yes. Yeah. And so when we confess something that is faith released he's not just the high priest of our faith, but he's the high priest of our confession, which is faith that is released. So he cannot be the high priest of something. We don't release our faith, for we have to release our faith. Now go with me, if you would, to Hebrews chapter 10. In verse 23, it reads this. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith. Look at this. Without wavering, for he is faithful that promised. If we're wavering, we're not holding fast. Now look at that. If we're. If we believe it one day and don't believe it the next day, we're not holding fast. And if we don't hold fast, the devil will steal it from us. Then I want you to look at Revelation chapter 2 and verse 25. Revelation, chapter 2, verse 25. And this is the King James translation. It reads, but that which you have already, hold fast till I come. Notice this. How come he says that which you have already? Because in Christ all is already ours. He's already made it ours. In Christ, all of it is ours. So that which you have already, hold fast till I come. We already have healing. We already have supply. We already have provision. We already have wisdom. We already have victory and holiness and sanctification and redemption. Amen. Everything that he's made ours in Christ, we already have it. There are some things that we have in Christ, though, that may not have manifested yet. Why? It's waiting for our faith to show up. Are there symptoms in your body? Well, they need to manifest. Well, how are they going to manifest? We have to keep confessing them. We have to keep showing our interest level in it. To hold fast means to daily release our faith for what Jesus already provided. Not to get him to provide it, but to release that which he has already provided. Amen. In Christ, all things are already ours. Hold fast to what we have, because we are in Christ now. Notice that. Hold fast. Don't allow it to be stolen from you that which you have. Go back there to Revelation 2:25. But that which you have already hold fast. Notice this. It doesn't say, that which is manifested. Hold fast. Because we have to hold fast before it manifests. That's where the great value of holding fast comes in that we hold fast even though we don't see it. Amen. We hold fast to it. We hold fast that we are the healed. We. We hold fast in the face of symptoms, in the face of sickness, in the face of difficulty, in the face of disease, and in the face, face of the doctor's report, we say, he has made me whole, and I'm holding fast to that, that by his stripes I was healed. I'm redeemed from the curse of the law. So we hold fast to that even before we see any kind of manifestation for it. And know this, the enemy will launch a counterattack to endeavor to take back ground he lost. But that's our ground. It's not his ground. Amen. I love the story that one soldier told. Well, I tell you what, the time is coming to an end for this episode. We're going to pick that up in the next one. You don't want to miss it because we're going to talk further along this line. But it matters to our faith that we're not just receivers, but we have the skill of holding fast. We have the skill of enduring in the face of opposition. Listen, the devil thinks that if he can just say it enough that he can talk us into letting it go. Well, I want you to know that we have to have more hold than he does. And we can have more hold because the greater one's on the inside of us. Amen. So because we're the greater ones, the greater one is in us. Rather, we're dealing with a lesser one, that the devil is a lesser one, and the hold in us is so much greater than the hold in the lesser one, and we can simply outlast him. One of the fruits of the Spirit is patience. And how many of you know the devil doesn't have any of the fruits of the spirit? But we have them. And we can simply outlast him by holding fast to that which we have. Amen. Well, we're going to continue along these lines next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

Podcast Summary
Episode 964 | In Christ I Can, Part 204
Date: March 12, 2026
Host: Nancy Dufresne (Dufresne Ministries)
This episode, a continuation of the In Christ I Can series, centers on the biblical principle of "holding fast" to what believers have received in Christ—especially healing, provision, and spiritual blessings. Nancy Dufresne dives deep into how faith is not just about receiving from God, but about maintaining and safeguarding those spiritual benefits through confession, gratitude, and continuous rejoicing, despite the enemy's attempts to steal them.
Nancy Dufresne [02:18]: "If you believe everything the devil tells you, he'll steal from you everything I've ever blessed you with."
[04:23] 1 Thessalonians 5:21 is a central text: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."
Holding fast involves:
Principle: If it was automatic, the Bible wouldn’t command believers to hold fast.
Nancy Dufresne [09:26]: "We don't hold fast with worry, we don't hold fast with fear. We hold fast with rejoicing."
Nancy Dufresne [11:07]: "He just sat up in that bed that morning, that fifth morning, he began to rejoice and...within a short time all the symptoms were gone again."
Nancy Dufresne [16:23]: "She was also keeping the devil from stealing what God had blessed her with."
Nancy Dufresne [19:27]: “He's not the high priest of faith that's not released. He's the high priest of faith that is released.”
[21:00] Nancy illustrates the importance of interest/persistence using a story about her sons’ Christmas requests. The one who consistently asked and showed excitement got exactly what he wanted; the other, who only mentioned his wish once, did not.
Key Insight: Consistency in confession demonstrates genuine faith and deep desire, which "gives Jesus more to take to the Father on our behalf."
[24:10] Hebrews 10:23: "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he is faithful that promised."
If believers fluctuate in their conviction, they risk the enemy stealing their blessings.
[25:00] Revelation 2:25: "But that which you have already, hold fast till I come."
Nancy Dufresne: “We have to have more hold than he does. And we can have more hold because the greater one's on the inside of us… We can simply outlast him by holding fast to that which we have.”
