There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. And we invite you to go back and watch any previous episodes in this series that you may have missed, because we're on the series in Christ. I can. And we have been just enjoying this series so much. And we thank you for following along with us and taking the time to join us. And not only that, how about if a series, a particular episode, something that's taught in an episode, go back and watch that over and over because that's one form of meditating on it and getting it on the inside of you. And know this, that meditation is how you take ownership of the truths of the Word. And so you can't spend effectively what you don't own. So we have to drive these truths, establish these truths on the inside of us. And by listening over and over again, it will do that for us. We've been using as our golden text in this series Colossians chapter 2 and verse 9. And this is the living Bible translation. And it says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body. How many of you know Jesus took on flesh, The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. And so he was the example of someone that in a human body you can still be indwelt by God. And then he showed us the kind of life that could be lived and what that life can produce. So it says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body, so you have everything. When you have Christ, the King James says, you are complete in him. How many of you know nothing is left out there is God did not form a plan and make it incomplete by not having the supply to fulfill that plan, the resources to fulfill that plan, the health to carry out that plan, the wisdom to know how to walk out that plan. And so everything that we need to accomplish what we're born, God put it in Christ. We don't have to ask him to do it. He's already done it. He, Jesus. I call Jesus this, the treasure box of heaven, that everything God planned for your life, he put it in Christ. And then he put Christ in us and us in Him. So what's that mean? We're not distant from our supply, we're not distant from our help. He is as close as our own words. He's as close as well as our own heart beat within us. He is that close. And so it is faith that believes that. And so we have to believe he's in me. And I don't want you to doubt that by thinking, well, you know, I haven't earned Him. I haven't done. I haven't done enough good things for him to dwell in me. Listen, he's not in us because we're good. He's in us because he's good. And he is just that good to indwell us. Now it's our privilege to. To discover all that he is in us and wants to do through us. And so that's why we're delighted in teaching in this series, because it's helping us to discover all that belongs to us. And in discovering it, we put him to work for us. How do we put him to work for us? We acknowledge him all throughout the day. Listen, I've noticed this, that the day I don't live mindful of his presence is the day I go back to. To thinking like I used to think or being like I used to be. And when I am, if I could say this, less than what I should be, I know I'm not acknowledging him the way I need to. And so it's so important that we don't go back to what we used to be. And that's by we keep ourselves continually in communion, in unbroken fellowship with the Father. And because we become more and more like the one we're aware of. And that works on the positive or the negative side. If we're constantly aware of what the Devil is doing, of what he's trying to work, of what he's saying to us, repeating what he's saying to us, it brings us into the flow of that which he says. But if we're more mindful of God, of who he is in us, what he's doing right now for us, I want you to know he's working for you right now. I said he's working for you right now. And so the more we acknowledge him, the more that work can manifest. And he wants that work to manifest in every single circumstance and situation of our life. Amen. So again, Colossians 2. 9 says, for in Christ, there is all of God in the human body. So you have everything. When you have Christ. What about when the devil says, what are you going to do about that, Bill? Say, I have everything because I have Christ. And all the supply will come, all the money will come. And it's not money that gives you everything. It's him who's in you, who is everything. And because he is in you, everything you need in this life must come to you. It must come. And that's what we're to live mindful of. And doesn't that make life simple? Doesn't that remove the struggle? If we're struggling with. We're trying to do it apart from Him. We think we're the ones who have to fulfill something when we do have a role. But our role is by faith, we obey Him. That's our role. By faith, we obey what he leads us to do, what he commands of our life. And when we obey his commands, then his power and ability gets into that movement, and he fills that movement with Himself and He brings it to pass. So know this. God never intended for you to live this life apart from him, but completely together with Him. And I would say this, even a test that you're facing, talk to him about it. Don't try to face that test apart from Him. Sometimes we think, well, I'm only going through this test because I veered from the word of God. I veered from obedience. Well, that may be true, but he's the one who's going to bring you back into the place of his best. And so what you have to do is not turn from him simply because you've missed him.
A
Because.
B
But just say, father, I know this. We'll face this together. And in facing it together, that you will lead me exactly on what I need to do to experience the victory that you already made mine. So even when you miss God, run back to him. Because he's the One who will put it back the way it should be. And know this. When we miss God, that's when we need his help the most. That's not when the time that we tuck tail and run, so to speak, we don't just cower down and avoid him, but we run toward him and say, I missed it. And because I missed it, I need your help more than ever. And he delights to do that. Amen. He delights to do that. And he will not scold us for missing it. He will just offer his forgiveness for us missing it. Amen. And then he puts it back as though we never did miss it. So I so love this passage in Colossians, chapter two, in the tenth verse, you have everything when you have Christ. And as I said, the King James says, you are complete in Him. So what's this we're authorized to say, my health is complete in him, my finances are complete in Him. There's nothing missing, there's nothing lacking. My family is complete in Him, My children are complete in Him. Because in him is everything we need to have every single need met and supplied. Amen. Well, we've been ministering along the line of something regarding our faith that there's some. There's so many components or ingredients to a life of faith. One of the things that someone is ever. Who's. Who's got a strong, robust faith, they're ever listening. Why is it because faith comes by hearing. So someone who's a faith person, they're listening for God. They're listening for what he would say to them. They're listening to the Word that they're feeding on. They're listening to the Word that that is being taught. What's this mean? They're teachable. Faith people are teachable. They're not hard to be led, they're not bullheaded, they're not adamant about having their own way. But they are easy to lead and they're easy. They're quick to believe and they're quick to implement what they see that the Word is saying to them. So know this one ingredient, description, characteristic of faith is it's teachable. It is willing to listen. You. Our spiritual father sat around a dinner table with us years ago and he made this statement. He said, most people don't listen. Well, I took note of that because I don't want to be in that most people category. I want to be someone who listens. Not just listen to everyone, but listen to those who know God better. And you might need to evaluate who you're listening to, because someone may love you, but that doesn't mean that they have God's answer in their mouth for you. Recognize who holds God's answers in their mouth for you, and then make yourself a student to them. Listen to them. Be teachable, be willing to be led. Amen. Because whether you realize it or not, there are some things that God will only say to you through someone else. Your blessing is connected to Another man. There are things that God will teach you and show and reveal to you, but he'll do it through the voice of your pastor. And so you ever want to be listening to your pastor, make sure you have a pastor. And I would say this. I thank God for television. I thank God for online teaching. But that never takes the place of you attending in person, a local church. Because Paul said, I long to see you, that I may impart. He didn't say, I long for you to see me. He wanted to see them. And you might see the pastor's, the pastor's face on a screen or on your device, but they're not seeing you. And so we have to realize that we need to be part of a local church where a man of God can see our face and can speak into our life and we're ever listening and we're teachable. And in listening, what's going to happen? Faith is going to come. And so we respond that word. We're easily persuaded. That's another characteristic of the faith of God. It's easily persuaded, quick to believe, not quick to criticize. That doesn't mean we're gullible. It doesn't mean we just believe everything that comes along. But when we see something's in line with the Word, we're quick to grab it and say, I'm doing that. I'm living in line with that. I'm bringing my life in order with that which I see is the word. So faith hears. Faith. Why? Because faith comes by hearing. So we hear, we listen, we're teachable. Number two, we believe what we hear when it's the word being taught. Another thing is that we perform the act of receiving. What's that mean? People think many times, well, I just need more faith. When they just really need to perform the act of receiving. What's the act of receiving? I believe, I receive. Amen. That's Mark 11, 23, 24. What things have you done when you pray? Believe that you receive them and you shall have them. That's how you perform the act of receiving it. And once you perform that act of receiving it, then you're to stand your ground until the manifestation comes. Standing on the Word. And then, not only that, you're holding fast. You're holding fast to the truth. No, I received that help. I received that answer. The power of God is working in that situation. And then also faith receives the manifestation. That when that manifestation comes, we recognize that's God. Many times people don't even recognize that a manifestation has been happening. But they thought it would show up one way and it came another. Learn to recognize when God is manifesting in your life. Then we say this, after you've received, there's something else you need to do, and that is you hold fast to what you receive so that the thief doesn't steal it from you. Because the Word tells us in John 10:10, Jes was speaking. And he said, the thief comes not but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy. What's he going to steal first? The Word. If he can steal the Word out of you, he can steal your faith. And so he's going to try to steal the Word. How do you keep the Word that you've heard from being stolen from you? You do it. You implement it. You immediately put it into place in your life, because nothing can be stolen from you that you're using. And so it's when people aren't using it that the enemy, they're not watchful over it, and the enemy steals something from them. So we're to hold fast to what we have by using it, employing it. Amen. And then we see this, that holding fast means hold hard to it. Why is that? Because this verse tells us again in John 10:10, he said, the thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill and destroy. But look what Jesus said. But I've come. But I've come. So two have come. You choose which one's going to get your attention. Amen. The thief comes for to steal, kill and destroy. But Jesus said, but I have come. So we need to be occupied with the greater one that has come. But he says, I have come. Look at this. That you might have life and have it more abundantly. So I love this phrase when he says, I have come, that you might have. Notice this. The devil comes to take. But Jesus comes so that you can have something. And the devil's always a taker. He's trying to rob something from you. And everything that he's ever gotten, he stole off somebody. Because nothing that he has belongs to him. Nothing is his. Amen. So we're to take it back. And if we recognize that we've allowed the devil to steal from us, we can take it back because it's still ours, even though he tries to hold onto it. We go back after it and we hold fast and we don't let go. Amen. So to hold fast means this. Hold hard. That means don't be shaken off of it. That means that if there's going to be opposition, you just hold. You just tighten Your grip of faith on that. Amen. And you outlast the devil. You outlast him. I want you to know that at the new birth, the nine fruits of the spirit were sown into your spirit. One of those fruits is patience. And I want you to know the devil has none of those fruits of the spirit. So if you will employ the fruit of patience, you'll outlast him because he's not patient. And you can endure longer than he can. You can be patient all the way to the end, all the way till the manifestation of your answer. Amen. And so we see this, that we have to hold fast, and this is so important in the life of faith, is that many people don't realize they have to hold fast while from the moment they release their faith until the manifestation, but they also have to hold fast after something is manifested. So that's what we've been ministering on in the last couple of episodes because it is so important to receiving what belongs to us in Christ. We have to not only find out what belongs to us in Christ, but we have to hold fast to what belongs to us in Christ. Listen, strong faith isn't only interested in receiving, it's interested in not losing something. Because we're. The devil is always busy trying to steal from us everything that God has blessed us with. And we refuse to let that be stolen. Amen. Listen, what you receive from God has to be upheld. It has to be held onto. Why do we know that in Hebrews chapter one, in verse three, it says this, that God upholds all things by the word of his power. Look at this. He upholds all things. So at creation, when he spoke and the Holy Ghost moved and performed what the words were that God spoke, God is still upholding everything. And aren't we glad because we had the whole solar system, everything around us. Now think about it. You'll remember that in a time of war, Joshua, they were in the midst of a battle and the sun was going down on them. And he said, what was it? He didn't want it to go dark on them. Why? Because they were in the enemy's territory. In the enemy's territory. The enemy knew where all the advantage points were of that land. And so they needed it to not go dark so that they wouldn't lose the advantage over the enemy in that time of war. So what did Joshua do? He said, sun, you stay there. Moon, you stay there. But it wasn't just the sun and moon that stood still that day. What about all the planets, the solar system. He was speaking to the sun and moon because that's all he knew about. But God dealt with every other thing because he was upholding everything by the word of his power so that things did not get out of order and become chaotic. Not only did the sun and moon stop, Mars stopped, and Jupiter and all the planets in our solar system stopped because God was upholding it. So notice this. Joshua dealt with what he did know, and God dealt with what he didn't know. And when you just don't be concerned about what you don't know, just deal with what you do know. And God will help you. Help you, and he will deal with what you don't know about. And how many times God has spared our life and we never even knew it. How many times God has intervened and we never even knew it, because God knows so many things that we don't know about. But we can know this, that if we'll stay in faith, we keep the door open for God to uphold all things. Well, as I showed you, that things of this, of creation have to be upheld. Things in that we've received from God, it has to be upheld. And how do we uphold it? We hold fast. We refuse to let something that God's blessed us with be stolen from us first. Thessalonians, in chapter 5, verse 21, it says, prove all things, hold fast that which is good. Well, why would he tell us to hold fast if it automatically stayed? He's letting us know that because we're told to hold fast, there's going to be opposition to what we receive from God. So we hold hard to it, and that includes daily releasing our faith through thanksgiving, through gratitude. What it enables us to hold fast is an ongoing feeding on the Word and confessing it once we received our healing. We say, thank you, Father. It's so good to be healed. I'm so grateful that I'm healed. We're not trying to get it. We're holding fast to what we have already received. Amen. Anytime we have backed up on standing our ground, we quit hearing as much as we needed to be hearing. So if we slow down or we diminish in our hearing, then we will diminish in our hold. So to increase our holding power, increase our hearing of the Word, Keep filling up with the word. Amen. And then in Hebrews chapter three and verse five, it says, moses verily was faithful in all his house as a servant for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after. But Christ as a son over his own house, whose House we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope. Look at this. Firm unto the end. So you say, Pastor Nancy, how long do we have to hold fast? To the end. To the end. And that's just our lifestyle. And I will say this, it's not a hardship. It becomes a flow of our life because the just shall live by faith. Could I not say this? The just shall live by holding fast to that which they. Which belongs to them in Christ. And so rejoicing. Notice this? It said, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing. So we're holding fast the confidence and we're holding fast the rejoicing. So rejoicing helps us to hold fast in the face of adversity. So rejoicing is a help to our faith. It is a. It's one way we release our faith, but it's a help to our holding fast to what God says is ours. If we're holding fast, we're rejoicing. If we're not rejoicing, we're not holding fast as we ought. And we're in danger of the enemy stealing it from us if we stop rejoicing over what God has blessed us with. Gratitude is imperative to holding fast to what we receive from God. And you say, well, why is that? Well, let me ask you this just as a parent. If you've given something to your children for maybe for a gift at Christmas time last year and they didn't take care of it, they didn't appreciate it, they didn't use it, they just set it aside because it wasn't important to them. And aren't you going to think twice when they ask you for something next time? Why Is it Because we're going to know. How did you treat what already gave you? Well, I want you to know, when we're grateful for what God has done for us, it keeps us in a place of receiving, not God. It's not that God's looking to withhold, but it's gratitude that will receive what lack of gratitude won't receive. Amen. We're ever, ever grateful. Always stay on the side of gratitude. Always stay on the side of rejoicing. Always stay on the side of recognizing that if it weren't for the goodness of God, I wouldn't even have this. Don't complain about the things you have. That might not be the dream job. It might not be the dream house, it might not be the dream car. But if you'll be grateful that God has even moved for you to have those things. It won't be long before the one of your desire shows up. Listen, God wants to see how do you treat what is less than what you wanted. Amen. Because if we're. If we're not grateful over the little things, how would we be grateful for the big things? And so gratitude is such an important part of right thinking. It's an important part of faith. Amen. And so we hold fast to our gratitude. And that helps to hold fast in our faith. Amen. And then we see this in Hebrews 4:14. It says, seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens. Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. Or we could say this, our confession. So as we confess the word, as we testify to what God is doing in our life, that's one way we hold fast. When you're believing God for a healing, you can say, the healing power, God's working in me. And as you do that, as you profess that and confess that, then the high priest takes our words and he holds them before God and he sees to it that they are fulfilled. And it's Jesus who is waiting to hear what are we saying? Because as we're confessing, we're releasing our faith. It's not enough to have faith. We have to release the faith. We have notice. Jesus is called the high priest of our confession. He is not called the high priest of our faith. What is the difference? You can have faith and it not be released. Confessing is the releasing of faith. And he can only see to it that our faith is fulfilled once it is released. So he is the high priest of our confession. And you have to wonder when. When he goes before the Father. The Father would say, how much have they confessed this? Because our confession degree or confession level shows our level of interest. How interested are we in receiving what God has made ours? If we're interested, we'll talk about it. We'll confess it. We'll claim it. Amen. So we keep it in our mouth. And then Hebrews chapter 10 and verse 23 says this. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith. Look at this. Without wavering, that means we're not on it one day and off of it the next day. It is a lifestyle that we are not wavering from. What God has said belongs to us. And we don't waver just because circumstances show up. We don't waver because this world is showing us something different. We hold fast to what God says. And that makes sense all the difference in the outcome of our life. Amen. Well, we're going to continue along these lines next time and you don't want to miss joining us next time. And until then, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.
