There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the Healer. And we invite you to get something to take notes on, because we're not only believing God for answers for your life, but we would say this. God can even say things to you that didn't come out of my mouth just by sitting in the atmosphere of the Word. So I've got a studio audience here with me, and we are drawing together on the plan of God and on divine utterances for your life, because the more that's drawn out of me, the more flows into you. And so we're just grateful to take this time together with you. We're in the midst of our series called In Christ I Can and Listen. We all look so much better in him than outside of Him. And everything of God's best is stored up in Christ. So he's in us. And he's in us so that we can spend him. And we're not left to just spend us. We have a greater place and a greater one to draw on. And so we're learning and discovering what belongs to us because we're in Christ and how to put him to work for us. And know this. Learn to put him to work for us. How do we do that? Well, we respond to Him. We acknowledge Him. And the way we do that is by faith, we obey Him. And so how many of you know that anytime that God is going to move in our life, he's going to involve us. He's going to give us something to obey. And as we obey him, then we're giving Him a place for him to move and manifest. So our obedience is our part, the obedience of faith and the and power is God's part. So he doesn't expect us to do his part, but he cannot do our part. We must do our part. And we've been looking at, in this, in Christ I can. We've been looking at our place of faith, a faith that holds fast. Why is that important? Because everything that belongs to us in Christ we possess, but it's up to us to partake of it. And there will be, there will be opposition to us receiving everything that belongs to us in Christ, not from God. God's not a withholder, but the devil is always trying to steal, kill and to destroy. And we have to learn to hold fast in the face of opposition that's trying to steal from us everything that God has ever blessed us with. So holding fast is such a key, a key truth. And a key characteristic of the faith of God is that we learn how to hold fast. And so we've been talking about Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 6. Without faith, it's impossible to please God. Well, what kind of faith is it? It's a faith that doesn't quit. You know, Jesus made this statement when he was on the earth. He said, when I come back on the earth, will I find faith? Well, the amplified translation of that says, will I find persistence in faith? So it's a certain quality of faith, it's the spirit of faith that a lot of people will stay in faith when things are easy. But when there comes opposition, the kind of faith that is going to really make a difference is the kind of faith that will not quit, will not give up. Now think about it. You think about Daniel thrown in the lion's den for a crime of praying. His consistent walk with God is the only thing the enemies could find to accuse him with. Now think of this as a political man. He held a political office. He was serving. It wasn't an elected office, but it was to advise the king. So he was in a elevated role. And, and in those kinds of government, political type settings, there is such divisiveness, there is such working against one another in that field is so prevalent. And so his enemies tried to find dirt on his life. And when they looked, look at this, they couldn't find any dirt. Now think of that. They couldn't find one thing to accuse him with, except he prayed three times a day. That was the only thing that they could find to accuse him with. And so these men tricked the king into signing a decree that no one could make requests except of the king. Not to their own God, just to the king. And so they intended to target Daniel. And notice this, Daniel did not change what he did. The Bible says that he flung open his window and he prayed as normal. And three times a day he would spend going aside to spend time with God. And they set up, you know, a mock trial, so to speak, sentence him to be thrown into the lion's den. But notice this. All along the way, Daniel could have thought, why doesn't God deliver me at this point or at this point or at this point or at this point? Notice he went all the way into the lion's den. There were steps that could have been taken for his rescue all along the way, but none of those steps were used. He went all the way being thrown into the lion's den. And in there, God demonstrated. And listen, if Daniel would have been delivered, let's say if the king would have found out that these men had conspired to set Daniel up, if he had found that out, and God could have uncovered that. God could have shown some of these things before Daniel was thrown in the lion's den. But he didn't. And you don't always understand why God does certain things, but just know this. It's always the best way. The way God does it is always the best way. Now, if God would have delivered him early on in this process that he went through, even if God would have delivered him at those points, he would still have had his enemies in place. Those men would have still been in their political roles, their government roles, and they would have continued to harass him, because that's really what they were. They were harassing the man of God. Now, because God let it go all the way through that test, let him be thrown in the den, showed a miracle. I mean, the king. The king called. Everybody's going to worship this God now because they saw. He saw God deliver this man from the impossible. Listen, Daniel, being a political leader, being in the government, he had seen this form of punishment, this form of execution used. He had seen people thrown in the lion's den and no one coming out. But he believed God would do for him what he had never seen him do for anyone else. And that's what real faith is. You talk about holding fast. This is what I'm talking about. The kind of. The kind of faith that sees circumstances seemingly mount more and more against you, but you know the one you're dealing with, and you know that these things are a small thing in the hand of a great God. And so that's what Daniel. He did not go at any point and say, why isn't God delivering me? Why isn't at this point God delivering me? Why isn't at this point, no, God let It go past all these points that where we would have chosen to see deliverance. And he let it go all the way into him being thrown in the den. But notice once he was delivered out of the den, what happened? The king said now those who accused him and put him in there, let them go in and see if their God will deliver them. And what happened? His enemies were destroyed and he never had to deal with those men again. This is the, this is. See the wisdom of God. God didn't just want Daniel delivered from that situation. He wanted the harassment around him to stop. Stop. And so Daniel had a faith that knew how to hold fast. He didn't say he didn't develop a grudge against God for not delivering him sooner than he did, but he just delivered him while he's in that lion's den. And you know what, Daniel, the next morning, if you'll remember, the king came to the mouth of where that that den was and said, Daniel, was your God able to deliver you? And of course, Daniel answered back. And notice he didn't answer back with any kind of hate in his voice, with any kind of animosity toward the king or anyone else. He didn't develop a grudge. I want you to know people who, if they lay down their faith, the only thing that's left to pick up is a grudge. The only thing left to pick up is unbelief, offense. If you lay down your faith, what you going to pick up in its place? Something negative. And so he never laid down his faith. Therefore he never picked up anything negative against the king or those other men who had conspired for his defeat. But notice this. God vindicated him. And God turned the situation in the sense, well, really it wasn't even God who had those men thrown in. It was their harvest. They sowed toward a man of God and their harvest was they reap what they sowed. So really it was seed, time and harvest working in the lives of those men who had accused Daniel. But notice the way God delivered him meant that Daniel never had to deal with those opponents again. And when God delivers you, he intends that you not have even the smell of smoke on you, so to speak. He intends that you don't be. You don't just have things harassing your life. And so just know this. When God delivers, he knows the best way. Don't get offended if it doesn't happen the way you thought it should happen. Just hold fast to your faith. That's our job. Let God do. Let God deliver according to his Wisdom, he knows what's best. Our job is to just believe and keep, keep believing with an unwavering faith. Because when Jesus said, when I come back, will I find persistence in faith? Now, see, there's a certain kind of faith he's looking for, and it's the faith that won't quit. And it matters that we hold fast. And if we don't hold fast, we're going to. We're not going to benefit from all that belongs to us in Christ. God is not withholding anything from us, but we have an enemy that is trying to delay, interfere, hinder, rob, steal. And that's why we have to hold fast. Not because we have to coerce something out of God and he's taking a long time. It's because we have to hold fast to get past every enemy and every opposition to our inheritance, to what belongs to us in Christ. And so we refuse to be stolen from. So it is so important that we develop this characteristic in our faith that completely holds fast. Amen. Because like I said, if you're going to let go of your faith, what you going to hold on to? I mean, where are you going to hold on to that can deliver you? Well, the word hold fast means to hold hard. That means I'm not looking for any place to quit. I'm not looking for any place to give up. And when everything around me tells me to quit, I'm just holding harder. I just tighten my grip. And it's the way we live. And if you practice quitting, it's so much easier to quit next time. So you have to refuse to practice quitting. And sometimes it's easier to quit. But what do you get at the end of that? You get a compromised faith. You get a weakened faith. Amen. I remember something my. My mother on her side of the family, they had a family reunion. This was in the 1960s. And her aunts and uncles and everyone had come to this family reunion. And there was one particular uncle she hadn't seen in a while. And she said to him, now this is in the day when people really dressed, you know, if they went out in public, the women dressed up, the men dressed up. And so at this event, the men were wearing suits. And she walked up to one of the uncles that she hadn't seen in a while. And she said, you look so nice. That's such a beautiful suit you have on. And he said, carolyn, this is the first suit I have bought myself in 20 years. Because 20 years earlier he had been in a car accident and he had all these medical bills that had mounted up. And he had, my goodness, it was several hundreds, thousands of dollars worth of medical bills in the 40s that. And he said, I would not file bankruptcy. He said, if I owe a man, I will pay a man. And he said, I would not buy anything. Now, see, he didn't understand taking, Taking the word and having the divine help in that situation. But what, what I saw in this is that he recognized, if I have responsibility, I meet it. And he said, this is the first new suit I have bought myself in 20 years because I just got that debt paid off. Now, see, there's a holding fast in the honor of someone's lifestyle. Don't be a quitter. If you're responsible, meet those responsibilities. God will help you. But don't be a quitter and shift what, what is your responsibility to someone else. Because if you practice quitting, it will injure your faith. And there were times, you know, when different ones would say, well, you can take this route and it'll help you financially. I'd say, no, we can't, because I'll injure my faith going the. Going the easy route. I'm not trying to go the easy route. I'm going to do what's best for my faith, not what's easiest on my faith. I want you to know God is going to do things and put you in situations and allow and direct you and command you based on what's best for your faith, not what is easiest for your flesh. And if you kick against that, then you will delay your own spiritual development and growth. Because we have to know how to hold fast. When you know how to hold fast, God can use you on certain projects he can't use others on, because some, just some things, by the nature of them, there's an endurance that's called for. There is a no a, a no quitting sense that you have to have when you know what God's told you to do. Don't look for the shortcut. Don't look for something that's going to bring relief. Go all the way to victory. Don't settle for relief when God offers you victory. And so much of the time, people are looking for relief for their mind, relief for their flesh, and they're forfeiting their victory, the place that God really intended to take them. And so there were some things. For example, when my husband went home to be with the Lord, I mean, I became responsible for about $6.5 million in a moment. And there were eight large projects left unfinished and my dad was so sweet during that time. He would call me every day and say, baby, do you need some money? I wouldn't tell him. I never told my family where that put me financially. I never said anything about it because I wasn't looking to them. I didn't need them to know I needed my faith to stay focused on what God would do for me. And so every single day, he would call me and say, do you need money? My goodness, I needed. Yes, I needed money. I needed more than he was offering me. But I'm just saying this. I knew this, that if I take the help from Daddy, what that's going to end up doing is just bringing me relief. But it's not victory for what I'm facing. And so I did not want anybody around me to say, yeah, somebody bailed her out. I wanted, like Abraham, no man's going to say they made me rich. Amen. Nobody's going to step in and be my deliverer when I already have one. And so I had to hold fast. It would have been a relief for my flesh, and it would have been a shortcut on some things, but then it could be looked at, well, somebody helped her out. It wasn't God. Well, I would not rob God of him getting the glory of what he did for this family and for this ministry. And I want you to know it's not about relief. It's about victory. And the devil will always offer you relief. He will bid high for your relief, but don't give in, because your victory has already been won. And it's just you walking it out by faith as you hold fast. Amen. And so if people are just looking for the shortcut in life, they're going to cheat their spiritual life. They're going to cheat their faith. In Hebrews chapter 10, in verse 23, it says, Let us hold fast the profession of our faith. Look at this. Without wavering, for he is faithful that promised. If we're wavering, it's because we're not holding fast. So we refuse to waver. Because to be changing from day to day is a lack of faith we set ourselves, and we don't change it. Then I want you to see Revelation chapter 2, in verse 25, it says, but that which you have already, hold fast till I come. Now look at this. That which you have already, hold fast till I come. Now, we could read that two different ways. Once something has manifested and you already have it, hold fast to it. Why? Because the devil, who is a thief, he seeks to steal from you everything God's blessed you with. So you're going to have to hold fast to it. But I want us to see this other way of reading it. But that which you have already hold fast. What do we already have? We already have every victory. We already are the healed. We already are the prosperous. And we're going to hold fast to that in the face of symptoms. I already have my healing. I'm not trying to get it. I already have my prosperity. I'm not trying to get it. It's not money that makes me rich. It's who is in me who makes he is my wealth. And by staying with the greater one that's on the inside of me, he causes all the supply I ever need to come. And so we already have these things in Christ. They are already ours. And we have to hold fast to that when it looks like it's not true. Now listen to that. When it looks like it's not true, we have to hold fast. And we have to say this, the Word, it's the truth and no lie. It's the truth and no lie. Because how many times the devil will say, well, it's taken so long. Why is it taking so long, Devil? None of your business. I'm not answering to you and I'm not taking counsel from someone who failed. So do not think that you have to take counsel and answer answer to a being who is who you're who you've been delivered from. Amen. So we're to hold fast to. We already have all these things in Christ. Do you know that you have in Christ things that haven't shown up in your life? Absolutely. There's so much that belongs to your life in Christ that you haven't yet discovered, you haven't yet drawn on. There is so much do you know that your spirit knows things that your mind hasn't caught up with yet. But that doesn't mean your spirit doesn't know it. And sometimes we have to take time to. To be in the presence of God to find out what does my spirit know? What has God been trying to communicate to me? Even so, there are things that belong to us that we have not partaken of yet in Christ. And some of it, it's because for future seasons that we're going to come into. God has already stored up everything we're going to need for a season we've not yet arrived in. And so we already have possession of things that we've not yet partaken of. So hold fast to that which you have Even though it hasn't manifested yet. Because if you will hold fast, it will manifest. Amen. Another thing that we have to hold fast to is hold fast to what God said to you. Because there are so many times that God will say something to you and it looks like it's not going to happen. It looks like it's so different. Well, that's why God said it, because he knew it would look so good different. And he didn't want you to give up on what he knows and what he planned. I remember in the midst of one of the transactions that I had to complete after my husband's homegoing, God said to me a certain step to take regarding a certain party we were dealing with. And I did. And it made it look like it did it worse. It made it look like it went really in the wrong direction. And I just said no. God said to do that. And after 10 months that whole thing turned. But I want you to know it looked like it wasn't turning. But I don't care what it looked like. I had to hold fast to what God said. And when it looked like it wasn't turning, I would say no, that's what God said to do. God's always right. And what God says, if we follow what God says, it always works. Now when does it not work? Whenever we added our own reasoning into what God said, when we adjusted something, or when we, when we took away something or added something onto what God said, then we can't be assured that it's going to work out right. But if we'll just do what God said. Amen. And so hold fast to what God says to you. And I know this before I make, before I make a step towards something. If there's a project that we've got to work on, I've got to know what did God say to me about that? Why do I need to know that? Because there's going to come opposition. And if I know what God said, then I have a ready answer in my mouth for when the devil shows up. I already know what to tell the devil. I don't have to scrounge around and find what am I going to say to the devil? I know what I'm going to tell him. I'm going to tell him what God said to me. And even if God didn't say anything to me, but I had a peace about doing it, that's what I answer. Because I can't tell you the number of times I've done something because I just simply had a peace I had the inward witness that this was the right thing to do. I didn't hear a voice from God. I didn't have any spectacular leading. I just had a sense that this was the right thing to do. And when I followed that, and then the devil said, you shouldn't have done that. Said I always answer, no, I had peace about that. And because I had peace, that was the Spirit leading me. Because the Word tells us we shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. So notice this. Follow the peace that leads you. And when you have peace about something, that is your ready answer that you're to give to opposition. When the devil says, you did it wrong, you made a wrong decision, say, no, I didn't, because I had peace about doing that. Therefore, God's in this. Amen. So we don't just choose a random word. We have to know how God is leading us. It's easy to hold fast when you've already heard from God. It's easy to hold fast when you know what the Word says to you. And I would say this. The Bible is so vast, right? I mean, it's the wisdom of God written down. It's so vast that many times you have to look to the Holy Spirit and say, which verse would you have me to stand on? Listen, they're all living verses. They're quickened by the Spirit of God. But when the Spirit of God points out this verse, I mean, there have been seasons when every day that I would wake up in the face of that season of adversity, the Holy Ghost would say something to me that I would hold to just that day. The next day I would get up and he would say something more to me, and I would hold to it all day long. Then the next day he would say something, and I would hold to it all day long. Why? Because the Holy Spirit will quicken it. I know this, that the Word is alive. It's a living thing. It's already quickened. But when the Holy Ghost speaks to something, it becomes a revelation that I can hold to. So what am I saying? I don't just ch. I don't just randomly choose what I want. I don't cherry pick my favorite verses. I'm sensitive. How is the Holy Spirit leading me in the face of this opposition? What's my ready answer for that opposition? And the Holy Ghost will spotlight something for me. And listen, if he doesn't say something specifically to you, you've always got the Word. The Word's always anointed. You can always just speak the word and you can always have an overcoming word in your mouth no matter what the opposition is. But just speak what God says because that is your victory in the face of every opposition. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Episode 968 | In Christ I Can, Part 208
Date: March 18, 2026
Host: Nancy Dufresne
Focus: Persistent faith, holding fast to Christ’s promises, and living in victorious expectation
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her in-depth teaching series, "In Christ I Can," focusing on the critical theme of holding fast to our faith, especially in the face of adversity and delay. Using biblical examples, personal testimony, and practical wisdom, Nancy underscores that everything believers need is already theirs in Christ—but it is their unwavering, persistent faith that leads them into experience of these promises. She encourages listeners to live not for mere relief but for full victory, reminding them that God always delivers in the best way, even when the journey looks different from what we imagined.
