There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. Thank you for taking the time to spend with us around the Word. And aren't you thankful for the Word? It takes our life and it gives us the best life. Why? Because the word of God is the thoughts of God. You know, God, through his Word, is offering us his way of thinking. Why would we ever hold to our way of thinking when we're offered God's way of thinking? And so that's called renewing the mind, taking on God's way of thinking. When we see that what God says is differently than, is different than how we've been taught to believe or how to think, then we lack down what we were, what we thought, or what we've been taught to make sure that we come in line with how God thinks. And that's called renewing of the mind. Because the renewed mind is a mind that thinks like God, taking on his way of thinking. Why do we do that? Because he's always right. I mean, this is the great. This is the great truth of it all. This is the great victory of it all. God is always right, and he's never done anyone wrong. And so I've got me a bit of a studio audience in here, and we're just drawing together on what God has for us in this episode. So thank you for joining us. We're in the middle of our series, and I say in the middle, maybe we're in the end of it, I don't know. But we've been on it for a year almost, and we've been teaching on in Christ. I can. And I want you to know that once you're born again, you're in him, he's in you. And it can boggle the natural mind to think. What does all of that hold for Us. Well, we're finding out in the Word what that means for us, that we are in him, he's in us. And everything God planned for your life, everything God has prepared for your life, everything he's provided for your life, he put in the treasure box of Christ. And then he put Christ in us and said, now spend to your heart's delight. And how many of you know God has done given us all things to enjoy? God wants you to enjoy your life. He wants you to enjoy what you're born for. He wants you to enjoy what he commands of you. Because he is not a hard taskmaster. I remember that there was one attack. You know, the devil's gonna challenge you on different fronts all through your life. And the more skillful we become with the Word, the easier it is to get past those attacks, so to speak. But I remember a time years into when I was preaching. I mean, I'd been preaching, my goodness, maybe 20 years at that time, and there came just a sense of, you know, I don't want to do this. The fear of trying to hold me out of the pulpit. And I remember one day that had been going on for a couple weeks, and I remember I said, I refuse to dread what I'm born for. And when I said that, that was the end of that thing. Left. Why? Because God has given you a plan for your life not to dread and not to step back from, but to enjoy. So it's. The struggle is, when we kick against something of his plan, something that he has for our life, if we kick against it, we're going to find ourselves struggling. And so if there's a struggle, what are we kicking against that God has for us? And people will say, well, I don't want to travel, or I don't want to preach. Because not everyone's called to preach, only some are. But I will say this. Whatever. What if he told you to start a business? Whatever he's told you to do, don't dread it. Because he has equipped you, empowered you and provided for you so that you can enjoy what he planned for you. And so know this. If it's not enjoyed, we're doing it wrong. And it's not the devil that's causing the problem. We're doing it wrong. Either we're thinking wrong, we're speaking wrong, we're believing wrong, or we're doing wrong. And so everything that God authored for us is to be enjoyed. And right after my husband went home to be with the Lord, God dealt with me in a very spectacular way. And one of the things that heaven said to me is, run your race with joy. And I want you to know it doesn't just matter that we run. It matters how we run. And to run sorrowfully, to run out of fear, to run daily doubting or to run with any kind of depression or oppression about us, that's the wrong way to run. We need to be running this race with joy, enjoying ourselves all along the way, because that's the way to truly represent God rightly. You know, I would not appreciate my children when they were growing up to go to church and act like they didn't enjoy their home. We're going to have trouble if you're going and portraying to people that you have anything less than a good life in our home. God doesn't want to be misrepresented either. And he does not want us misrepresenting him wrongly by being less than joyful because it is a poor reflection on him when we're not joyful, because we're implying that this household of faith that we're a part of is not enough. Well, I want you to know what is in that household of faith and the household of faith that is our setting of life. It's more than enough. More than enough. And so we should enjoy it. And everything you're born for, you need to embrace it and be grateful for it and choose to be delighted with it. We're to live on the delight side. Amen. And so what the word said in Psalm 112:1, it says, Blessed is the man who delights greatly in the commands of the Lord. Notice this. We're to delight greatly. Not just a little bit, but delight greatly. Why? Because if you don't, you're gonna live on the sad side of life instead of on the delighted side. And we are called to live on the delighted side of life. That means we got no complaint in our mouth. We got no criticism in our mouth. We're not having to forgive God. I don't have to forgive God for anything. He's never done me anything but right. And when people don't realize how good he is, they can blame God for things. And it's completely false blame. God has been accused of so much stuff he's never done wrong. And. And I mean, all through generations, people have accused him of all kinds of difficulty, all kinds of hardship, killing their children, killing this, killing a family member, killing this person, killing that one, causing all kinds of, you know, catastrophes on the earth. Why did God allow it? God didn't allow it. And I would have to say, some things that have gone wrong in our life, we allowed because we didn't have the knowledge of how to use our faith. We didn't have the knowledge of what God provided for us. But that's why what we're doing in episodes like these, we're running out ignorance so that we don't blame the wrong one. Amen. And John, chapter 1010. Jesus was telling us how to think right? John 10:10, Jesus said this. He said, but the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. Anything that steals, kills and destroys. That's from the thief. Jesus said, but I've come that you might have life and have it more abundantly. So anything that's good and anything that's a blessing comes from the God's side. Anything that's less than good, anything that steals, kills or destroys from your life comes from the devil. And I mean, if you don't get that straight, you're going to struggle in life. If you're going to fall under the prey of the devil, accusing God in the face of you and get you blaming God and get you upset with God. You know, it's just, it's. It's just we just need to think, right? We just need to think right. And the word is the thoughts of God so that we come into his way of thinking and just know this. God has given us the best life. And if we're not living it, it's not God's fault. It's because we don't know what we need to know. But thank God, we're learning together. Amen. One of the things that we've talked about in Christ is knowing this, that we possess all things that we need. Everything that belongs to Christ belongs to us. Everything we need in this life for success. God put that in Christ and He put Christ in us. So it's about us turning toward him, acknowledging him, drawing on him, learning to put him to work for us through us. And when we do that, we end up living the way God intended, the way God authored for it. But it does require our faith. We possess all good things, but we have to become a partaker of what we possess. What's that mean? We have to experience what God's provided for us. How do we do that? Only by faith. And by faith we obey God. I said by faith we obey God. Faith is an obedience to God. If people are not obeying, they're not in faith, because faith will obey God. Amen. So part of the faith life, and it's so critical that we learn it is learning how to hold fast in the time. From the time we release our faith for something until it manifests, we have to hold fast. But once we receive something from God, the thief comes immediately to steal, kill and destroy. He's always trying to take from us what we have received from God and we must hold fast to what we receive from God and we have to learn. And we've been talking about this in previous episodes. Go back and watch previous episodes to see what we've stated on this. The Word tells us what you have received from God. You have to hold fast to it. Now, one of the things that we have to hold fast to is what did God say to you? Because when God gives you a command, when he tells you to do something, he speaks to you. You're going to have to hold fast to what God said so that you can walk into the fulfillment what God commanded. It can't be fulfilled if you're not going to hold fast to what God said. Because when the devil, when God says something, the devil's going to try to draw you away from obeying that. And you have to tell the needs and the circumstances and the situations that arise around you. You have to tell them what God said. Know this, that in the wilderness of temptation, Jesus policy of dealing with the devil was saying, it is written. And he would always tell the devil what God said. And it said in Romans chapter 4 that Abraham believed according to what was spoken. So what did he do? He held himself on course by always harping back, pointing back, rehearsing again what God said to him. And that's the policy of advancing and laying hold of and fulfilling what belongs to us in Christ. We have to hold to what God said. I remember the testimony that my husband would often give years before we were married. He was pastoring a church when he first started in ministry in Torrance, California, and he had moved the congregation into a building. God had told him, that's your building. They had rented the building, they had renovated the building, and then I believe they ended up purchasing that same building. Well, the city had it zoned differently, meaning they were saying a church could not be residing in that property. It had to be rezoned for there to be a church there. But God had told my husband, that's the building. And so there was a city council meeting and they were to vote on the rezoning that would allow them to meet in this building as a congregation. And God had told my husband, that's your building. So he had told the congregation that. And so they were going to have a city council meeting, and it was announced about it a particular evening that it would meet. And so my husband had invited the congregation to come and attend that city council meeting in support of the rezoning of that building. And so they were. I don't know, there were a couple of hundred congregation members that were there, and they were all praying in the spirit real quietly under their breath. You know, not because they're hoping this works. You know, they're not doing it in fear, crossing their fingers, but they're praying because they're just there drawing on the plan of God for that setting. And so they're praying quietly in the spirit. And Ed is presenting his case of why it needs to be rezoned to allow them to meet in that building. And one of the council. Well, it was the mayor that was there and said, well, we don't want it to be rezoned for a church because it's close to a Runway, you know, where an airport. And what if an airplane were to land on that building and kill everyone in the building? And my husband said, well, Mayor, just last week you dedicated a hospital that was built at the end of the Runway. So my husband kind of dismantled that argument. You say. So every time that they would say, somebody on the council or something would say why it shouldn't be zoned for to accommodate a church, my husband would have to answer that. And so they had answered that all along the way in that meeting that night. And so finally they were going to put it to a vote. And so my husband said you could hear, just real quietly, this hum of the congregation praying in the spirit in other tongues under their breath. And so they took a vote, and they were voting out loud. And so there was a recorder there. They would call them. Is that what they call them? Like a court recorder? And I don't know if that's the same for that city council meeting, but someone is taking. They're taking notes on that live meeting right there. So each one of the council members voted so that that recorder, the person doing the recording, was typing manually into their machine. And they would type the name of the person voting and then their vote. And so they went all the way around, and they lost the. They lost it by one vote. And so they had voted down for the rezoning. And my husband said, all of a sudden, all the humming of praying in the Spirit quit, you know, the whole congregation. And he said, now I look at them, and they're just looking at me like you told us this was our building. And now they have voted the rezoning down. And at this time, my husband said, I just stood there and he said, God, what do I do? And God said, don't move. What is that? Hold fast, because it's going to look in life like things are going the wrong direction. Don't you flinch, don't you back down. Don't you give up. Don't you think a plan B. Because God's plan always works and you don't need plan B. And so my husband said, I just stood there and they said, all of a sudden the person, the lady who was recording these votes, she held up her hand and said, we have to revote. She said, I don't know why, but my machine stopped. It would not let me record the votes. And my husband always said this. An angel put his finger in that machine, said, you're not recording that. Why? It's the truth. Because that wasn't the truth. The truth was what God said, their vote was not the truth. So the angel is saying, you're not recording that. So my husband always said, I believe an angel put his finger in that machine, said, we're not recording that. And so the recorder said, we have to revote. I cannot, because I did not get all of that accurately when it was being stated. So we have to revote. And when they said that, one of the men stood up, said, oh, just give it to him. And he changed his vote at the last minute. That's why we hold fast, because many times it will look like it's going the wrong direction. But if you'll just stand steady with what God said, this is how you become a partaker of what belongs to you in Christ. Because many times it can look like you're not going to partake, but you have to hold fast by faith. And we are told, hold fast to your profession of faith. And so my husband had to do that. And in that, they got that turnaround, that last minute miracle. And I will tell you, once you hold fast and you see what God will do for you when you hold fast, you're equipped for the next time that you hold fast. You had the experience of what holding fast in faith will accomplish for you. Amen. Think about it. When the three Hebrew men were thrown in the fiery furnace, we were talking about it on the previous episode, Daniel, when he was going to be thrown in the lion's den, God did not deliver him anywhere along that process. He delivered him at the very last step. He had already been thrown in the lion's den. We don't even have record. Now, you remember when the king came to the mouth of the den the next morning, said, daniel, was your God able to deliver you? And he answered, you know, God is great. You know. Yes, O King, he delivered me. Well, notice he said he sent his angel and shut the mouths of the lions. Do you know that we don't have any record that an angel appeared? We don't have any record about an angel. We just have the Word. And the Word says that his, that God, that the angels will mount guard around us. What did Daniel know? He knew the Word was protecting me. And the Word already told me that I have angels round about me, protecting me. And I want you to know that even if you never saw an angel, even if God never told you there was an angel, you have an angel, a guardian angel protecting your life. And you can know this. I'm guarded every day, whether God ever tells me. And the plan of God is guarded. And that angel is there guarding my life. He's guarding the plan of God, and it will come to pass. And that's what Daniel was stating. He said God sent an angel and shut their mouth. And it wasn't that the lions weren't hungry that day because they threw in the men who had accused him and the angels and the lions ate well that day. Why, they were ready to eat. It wasn't that they weren't hungry. But those enemies did not have anything helping them in that den. But Daniel had divine help. And I want you to know you have divine help. Anything God has to employ for your victory, he will employ it. Now, we have also the same thing, which is Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. God did not deliver them anywhere along the way. He did not change the heart of the king. He did not tell the king, don't you touch these men. The king had them thrown into the fiery furnace. And God didn't deliver them at any step along that way. And if you're not careful, you can decide how you think God ought to deliver you. And if you do that, then you'll weaken in faith. Because a real faith, it trusts God to deliver in God's best way. And God's going to deliver you in such a way that it will set your future in a very powerful way. And this is what happened with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. Remember the setting that there was given a call that all those who were leaders, political leaders, government leaders, were gathered together. And King Nebuchadnezzar said, they're going to play the music. And once the music plays, you are to fall down and worship the golden image of myself that has been set up. And they said, and if you don't, you're going to be thrown in the fiery furnace. Meaning you don't get choose. You don't get a choice, you know, choose your way. And when they played the music, everyone bowed down. So you can see the three who didn't, they're standing up tall. So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, everyone saw who didn't bow. And so they gave word to the king. They said, there's three men here who aren't bowing. So the king said, called for them, and he spoke to them face to face. And he said, I'm going to give you another chance. We're going to play the music. And once that music is played, if you don't bow, we're going to throw you in the fiery furnace. And I love what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego said. They said, if it be so, if you throw us in, the God whom we serve is able to deliver us, and he will. But if not, if you don't throw us in, us in, know that we're still not going to worship youp. Now, many will misquote this. They'll say, if it be so, if youf throw us in, God is able to deliver us, and he will. But if not. But if God doesn't deliver us, we're not worshiping youg. Well, you don't have to tell Him. If God doesn't deliver you, you don't have to tell him you're not worshiping him because you're crispy, you know, you're fried up. You are going to be in the fire. There's there. There's no bowing anywhere. So that's the misunderstanding of the passage. I got audience members here laughing. But it's the truth. We have to read it rightly. If it be so, if you throw us in, the God whom we serve is able to deliver us, and he will. But if not. But if you don't throw us in. What's this mean? They believe that the king would change his word. Before they believed God wouldn't deliver them, they believed that, that that king would back down. But they knew God would not fail them. And so they said, if it be so, if you throw us in, the God whom we serve is able to deliver us, and he will. But if not. But if you don't throw us in Just know this. We're still not worshiping meaning this. We're not looking for relief. We're not looking for an escape door. God will deliver us. We don't need man to give us an escape route. Well, you know this. They had them bound and they threw them in. Notice this that the men who threw them in were burned up. Now, that should have been a sign right there that the mighty men, they. They took their mightiest men. They didn't just take the. The buck private in the military and throw them in. They took some of their leading men of war. They took some of their leading men in battle and they had them bound up. And it took out the. It took out the king's best that day. And that should have been a sign to them. You might leave these men alone because it's not doing anything to them. But that fire has already destroyed your mighty men. So they threw them in. And it said that in the fire. It said that the king looked and lo, he saw four men walking and loose in the fire. Now, see, they had been bound. What did the fire do? It just burned off the. It just burned off the binding. It did not burn up the men. It just took off what bound them. But I want you to see this. It said that the king saw four men loose and walking. It didn't say Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego saw four men. They might not have seen the fourth man in the fire. They might not have seen the son of God in the fire, but the king saw him. Why? Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego didn't need to see him. Why? They already knew what God would do. It's the one who didn't know what God would do that needed to see something more. I want you to know there are times that you may say, I don't see anything more. Listen, when you got faith, you don't have to see something more because you know, you believe. Having to see more is for people who don't have faith. But when you have faith, you don't need God to show you every little thing because you trust the God who delivers. You trust the God who provides. You trust the God who sets everything right. But don't decide how God's going to deliver. You don't decide how God's going to do it. You just let God do it the way he. He knows is right. Why? Because he's going to do what's best for your faith. And when they came out, what happened? Even King Nebuchadnezzar said their God is God. And then he declared that now this is the national religion right here. A nation was changed and turned toward God that day because three men held fast. When you know how to hold fast, God can use you in ways he can't use other people. And when there are some projects, there are some, there are some instances, there are some situations that call for only people who know how to hold fast to touch into that. And so when we know how to hold fast, God can use us in a greater way. So know this that in Christ all things belong to you. So hold fast to that, regardless of what circumstances, situations, or any conditions. Conditions say Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this Jesus is the healer. God bless you.
