There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. And we're going to be continuing in this series called In Christ. I can and aren't you grateful to find out who you are in Christ and listen, the vast wealth of that is. It's remarkable. And I dare to say we're going to still be realizing in eternity what all belongs to us, because we are in Christ and we are going. We're going to start today with our golden scripture that we've been using throughout this series, and that is Colossians chapter two and verse nine. And this is the living Bible translation. It says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ, and you are filled with God through your union with Christ. Well, I like also what the King James translation says, verse 10. It says, you are complete in Him. And I want you to know it is our privilege for us to say in the face of adversity, I am complete in Him. My victory is complete. My supply is complete. All the resources I need for any situation, they're complete in Him. So what did God do? He took everything you're going to need to fulfill his plan. You're going to have everything you need to live this life that God authored for you, fully supplied. And then God put that supply in Christ. And I call him our treasure box. And then he is on the inside of us and we are in Him. And it is our privilege, but also our responsibility to draw out of who we are in Christ so that we can partake of all he made ours. Listen, in Christ we have everything we need. Outside of Christ, we're going to run into impossibilities. But in Christ we have everything we need, because as this verse says, so you have everything. When you have Christ, what Is it that you need? You have it in Christ, and it's just, it's up to our faith to lay hold of that. Now we've also said this. How is it that you draw on who you are in Christ? How do you spend who that who he is in you? Well, number one, we have faith, but we have a faith that obeys. So God will always give us something to obey. And so as we obey how he's leading us, then God gets in that movement of obedience, and then he is able to perform and fulfill through us everything that we are believing for him to do. We've been also, in the past episodes, we were looking at the place of confessing the Lord and acknowledging him publicly. Not just keeping it a private, personal thing, but we're not ashamed to boast about what God is doing for us, because we're not boasting about us, we're boasting about Him. And the more we acknowledge and confess what he's doing in us, the more he will work through us. And too many times people think that they're behind in their faith when really they just need to start confessing more. I. I was talking to someone very precious to me, and they had been. They're faced with a certain physical condition and they'd been feeding for a long period of time on healing scriptures and meditating on them and confessing them. And I said, well, that's all good and that's right, because that's part of faith. But I want you to know there's also this lovely component of acting on the word. So I said, don't just feed on the word, act as though it's true. So that means you're going to get out of your house, you're going to not just sit at home and wait for your body to change, you're going to do something. And within a week of them acting, their body began changing. Because I've found this out that manifestations normally don't just happen in the meditating and the confessing. It's when we put action. So faith believes something, it hears something, it says something, but it also acts in a way, it acts in line with what it's confessing. You know, when we confess by his stripes, I'm healed. That's so we'll know how to act that since we know we're healed, then we act in line with that. I love the simplest translation or simplest definition that a minister had given years ago about the subject of faith. And he said the simplest definition is this faith is acting like the word of God is true. And that is so. That is such. That's such an accurate way of saying faith. And since we believe it's true, we act like it's true, we talk like it's true, we think like it's true, we speak like it's true. But in this life of faith, because the word says that the just shall live by faith. And I would say this, you have to be just to live by faith and only the faith. And as we live by faith, it causes us to live the just life that God has authored for us. Faith is how we reach the end of everything that God has offered to us and made ours. But in this component and in this life of faith is also a word that I want to want us to focus on in the next several episodes. And that is this word endure. And because it's not, we have to realize that when. When we release our faith for something, the moment we release our faith, power always starts working. Now think of this with Daniel. He recognized in reading through the old covenant, he recognized that there were some things that God's people were going to be held in captivity for 70 years. And he recognized they had come to the end of that 70 years. But nothing had change. So he set himself to pray and to seek God about this. And so he began praying about God's people being delivered out of captivity. And he prayed, and nothing transpired. Nothing seemingly happened. And he set himself to go on a partial fast. And it wasn't a full fast, but a partial fast. And after 21 days, three weeks, then an angel appeared to him. And that angel said, I was sent the first day you prayed, but there was an evil spirit ruling that region, he said, that had withstood me. So I called for Michael the Archangel, and we broke through. So what was it? Daniel didn't see any of that activity in the spirit realm. You. He was just praying. And what was he doing? He was enduring because he had not yet received an answer. And what was it? The angel came and revealed the answer to Daniel. I want you to know the devil does not want you to see your answer manifest. But what are you going to have to do when something belongs to you in Christ, it is our present possession, we are to become partakers of it. And in that, partaking of it is a. Is a place of enduring, because as we endure, we will our answer manifest. And so many times people will think, well, either my faith isn't working or the word isn't working, or maybe I'm just missing it somehow, when it's really just calling for our endurance. Daniel did not second guess himself. He just kept bringing things before the Lord. And he was doing a partial fast as he carried on his daily life. And after three weeks, of course, the angel broke through. Why? Because the devil did not want Daniel receiving the answer. And in that answer, God revealed to him future ages. And so we see this, that the angel said, the first day you prayed, I was sent, but there was opposition. So when an answer is delayed, it's not that God is delayed, it's that the enemy is trying to. He's trying to hinder your answer from showing up. So don't ever accuse God of being slow or what's taking God so long. It's opposition. But as we. And we just keep holding our ground, doing our part, God will keep doing his part to make sure that that answer comes into manifestation for you. So endurance is a part of faith. People of faith are also to be people of endurance. I remember that there was a time before my husband and I met. He had gone through a very difficult season in his life. And Kenneth Hagin was a spiritual father to my husband and I. But Dr. Lester Sumrall, he was an apostle to the world, and he was a pastor to us, and he was so available to us, and he gave us much personal input and counsel and advice. And before my husband and I met, though, my Dr. Sumrall was a very vital person in my husband's life. And in this season of testing that my husband was going through, it was very severe. And he had invited Dr. Sumrall to come and preach in his church. And Dr. Sumrall came, but my husband was not in attendance of that service. And Dr. Sumrall preached a message that night, and it was called, don't quit. And then he wrote a note on his business card and slid it under the glass top that was on top of my husband's desk in his office. And basically the gist of it was this. He quoted revelations that he that endures till the end. And he started talking to him about endurance. And this is what this. This giant of a man of faith, this is what he wanted to teach this young minister, is that there are going to be seasons that you're just going to have to endure. And endurance is so critical in the life of faith because we're not quitters. If you don't endure, the only thing left to do is quit. So it's either endure or quit. And if you endure, you reach the end. If you quit, you never Know all that you gave up. And so this is what this giant of a general of faith wanted my husband to know. Endurance is the key. And so that it makes us to where we're not people of quitters. And I want you to know the Bible says that in the last day that one of the characteristics of people is that they'll be quitters, they're covenant breakers, they'll be quitters, they won't, they won't be faithful, they won't be true to the end. Well, we're faith people. And because our faith is, it originates with God, there is the ability in us to not quit. We are strengthened with might in our inner man. And we draw on the strength of God, the ability of God. God is the strength. He doesn't just give us strength, he is our strength. And because of that we had, we, we should never be quitting in this life. And endurance is a part of that. And the reason we endure is because answers do not always show up and manifest overnight. Now listen, if it's our inheritance, something that belongs to us, it doesn't have to take long. But there are other things that are going to take by the process of time, just by the nature of what it is that the answer that we need, sometimes it's revolve, it's regarding money, sometimes it's regarding homes and properties, and other people's hands are in it. There's other people involved. And so God is working with the entire picture. And sometimes we just see our part and say, what's taking so long? Well, many times there's many other parts that God is working on to bring things to pass in your life. So we simply endure until. Until everything is in position, in place for our answer to manifest. But endurance does not mean we don't ever arrive. We should not be enduring 20, 30, 40 years and answer's not coming, something's off, we're on the wrong road if that happens. But look at Job, that he endured, that he lost everything and God gave it back to him double. But it only took around nine months or so for that restoration to happen. It didn't take 20, 30, 40 years. And so. But there is this component in faith and that is endurance. And can I tell you this, endurance is not a negative word. It's not something that's heavy and hard to deal with. Because whenever we are staying full of the Word and the Spirit, Jesus said, take my yoke upon you. It's my. My yoke is easy, My burden is light. So even while we're Enduring. We should not come under a flow of hardship. We should stay focused on him. We keep ourselves aware that God is working for us. God is working in us and through us. And therefore we can be joyful in the endurance of process. We're not to be downcast and acting like the weight of the world is on us. That's not the life of faith. The life of faith is a joyful life. And so we should be rejoicing the whole time we're enduring. And so I want you to recognize that the devil will try to hinder and he'll try to stop things from happening. But just because he hinders doesn't mean he can abort anything. If we will keep enduring, God will see to it that we reach the end or the fulfillment of what we're believing for this word endure. Just the definition of endurance means to support without breaking or yielding, to force or pressure. So endurance does not mean that you come through on the other side and you're all tore up when you're on the other side. No, you endure without breaking. You're not breaking down. Think about it. When Jesus was in the wilderness of temptation for 40 days, 40 nights, he came through that. And the Bible says that he came out full of the Spirit. So notice it didn't break him down during that season. It did not weaken him. He came out full, full of the full of the Spirit, and it did not diminish his spiritual life. He came out stronger. Endurance is not going to end you up in a weakened condition. Bible endurance means you come out stronger because this definition says we support without breaking or yielding to faith, force or pressure. How many of you know the devil will send all kinds of pressure, pressure against the mind, pressure against the body, to where you have symptoms and things that seem to be layered, one upon another, of opposition. But we endure. We don't yield to that. Now, I want to read Proverbs chapter 24 in verse 10, and this is the amplified classic translation. It says this. If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Notice the problem isn't that there's adversity. We have to make sure we have strength. So we are to be fortified. What's that mean? Well, how many of you know that as we feed on the Word, we're strengthened? As we stay full of the Spirit, we're strengthened. But also the joy of the Lord is our strength. As we stay in the joy flow, we stay in the flow of strength. That strength is the outflow of a joyful life. And so when we're faced with different circumstances, don't lose your joy. Stay in joy. For the joy of the Lord is our strength. And so joy pays off in strength. Stay in that joy. Flow. But here it says, if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. Notice that God's not even pointing that the devil's the problem just because there's adversity. I remember years ago, I was in my, oh, my mid-20s, and I was going through a particular test, and I was doing all I knew to do, standing my ground. And I had a quite spectacular experience in the midst of that Jesus. I was in the middle of a service, and Jesus came walking up the aisle, walking toward the platform. And he came up and stood by me on the platform. And you say, did you see him? No. By a word of knowledge, I knew where he was. And I heard him. And he said this. He said, where is your faith? Well, I recognize he's rebuking me. I'm going through a test. I'm under attack. But yet when Jesus shows up, because when. When I recognized he was present place, I thought, this is the end of that test. The devil's going, the devil's done for. He's been messing with me. This is the end of it. And so I expected Jesus to talk about the test. When he came to me, though, he talked to me about, where's your faith? He rebuked me. Well, doesn't that sound familiar with when the disciples were in the boat and the boat started filling up with water? They woke Jesus up. He spoke to the storm, spoke to the waves. It stopped. And then he turned around and said to the disciples, where's your faith? He rebuked them for how they handled the storm. Notice that storm didn't get any of Jesus attention. He rebuked them for their lack of handling the storm. Right. That's what God did to me that day. When Jesus came on that platform, he said, where is your faith? And I was just stunned because I go, my goodness, I'm the one being attacked. And I'm in trouble with Jesus, you know? But what was he saying? He's letting me know the devil's not your problem. That's not your problem. Your problem is you're not using your faith. What was it? I had laid down the strength of my faith, and my faith was wavering. It was not strong. Now, this is what Proverbs 24 says, verse 10 says, if you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. It's on you that we need to be strengthened. Why? We have everything available to us to walk in strength. We have the Word, we have the power of God. We have the Holy Ghost, we have the body of Christ. We have a pastor. All the components that play into a strength in life. God expects us to be strong. He does not expect us to cave in and weaken. And anyway, we. God expects something of us, and we need to. We need to meet his expectation. You know, sometimes people, your family or relatives, they love you and they may call to you and say, oh, I'm so sorry you're going through this. Well, that's not going to help strengthen you. Sometimes when you're going through a test, you need someone who's going to talk straight to you, not to someone who's going to sympathize with you because you don't want words around you that turn you weak. You want words around you that put something in you and make you get back up on your feet and stand strong. I remember another situation. I was around 30 years old about the time we were starting our church here in Southern California and going through a particular test. And I said to God one day, I said I had been going through that test about a year and a half or so. And I said to God, I said, I feel like I have literally been beat on. Like if somebody were to put me in the corner and just beat blow after blow after blow. Well, you know, that's what Paul said. He talked about a buffeting that he had endured. And what is that? That means blow after blow after blow. And you find out the way the devil works. If he can get into one arena, maybe the financial arena, and he'll make a blow there. He doesn't intend to stay in the financial arena. He intends to start reaching into every arena. Then he'll start attacking the marriage, then he'll start attacking the children, or he'll start attacking the health. And he'll. He doesn't intend to stay confined to one arena. He only needs one arena of entrance. And then he'll try to attack every arena while he's in that place or position, that entrance that he gained. But I remember saying to God, I felt like I had been beat on, meaning every single arena seemed like it had been touched by this. And I said to God, after a year and a half, I said, I feel like I have been beat on. And I expected to kind of really, I expected a little bit of a correction, you know, because I realized those were kind of weakened words. And God was so Kind to me. He said to me, he said, that just means that you're in the last and final stage of the test. I go, what do you mean? And he took me over there to Matthew chapter seven. And he gave me. He tutored me in this. And he brought out, you'll remember, in Matthew 7:25, it talks about the two houses that there's a storm. One house was built on the rock. The other house was built on the sand. And the same storm came to both houses. And the house that was on the. The house that was on the rock, it stood. The house that was on the. On the sand, it fell. And it said, and great was the fall of it. And when I was reading that passage, because he brought that passage to me, remember, it said, the rains came, the rain fell, the flood came, the winds blew and beat on that house. And God said to me, that's the fourth stages of a test. He said, the rains fell, the floods came, and winds blew and then beat upon that house. And I said, that's. That describes it. That's what I'm at. And he said, that's showing. That's the end of the storm. And so he said to me, he said, what determined whether or not there was success in the face of that storm? And I said, well, the house was still standing at the end of the storm. And he said, are you still standing? I said, I am still standing. I haven't thrown in my faith. I haven't quit. I'm still holding fast. I'm doing all I know to do. I have not quit. And he said, then you win. He said, you pass the test. Now, see where I thought. I thought that. Now, this was in my younger days. I thought that if I was in faith, I wouldn't be feeling what I was feeling. But that's not true. It's not. Do you feel what you feel? It's. Are you still standing in spite of what you feel? And so I saw this, that when the rains came, I felt that. And then floods came. What's that? Everything gets touched in a flood and the winds blow. What is that? You could hear all the accusations, all the threats of the enemy that were so strong in the hearing and beat on that house. And so I remember this. It's. Well, it's really talking. When it's talking about the house, it's talking about a man's life. He's talking about the difference of someone who's built their life on the word and someone who didn't build their life on the word. The Same storm came to both houses, to both lives, but the outcome was different because of the foundation we are to endure by having a Foundation of the Word under us. Without a Foundation of the Word, things are going to be compromised. But I remember growing up in our hometown, we did not get a lot of snow. No, we had a lot of cold weather in southwest Oklahoma. We had a lot of wind because it was the plains of southwest Oklahoma. But in that, we didn't have as much snow, but we had a lot of ice. And so we had a nice storm that came, and it broke down all the power lines. And so we would be without power, and we would be at home in the house. And for us, there were four kids in the family. And during that time, we would. We had really a great time. The TV didn't work, Things didn't work, but we'd pull out all the games. We'd pull out all these different things, and we just. Mother would put food together, and we'd turn on candles or light candles or whatever and turn on flashlights. And we. We had a party inside the house because school was dismissed. Daddy couldn't farm, so he was home. Mother couldn't go to work, so we all got to be home together. And under that storm, we were having the best time inside that house. This house that's feeling the wind, the flood, the winds, the rain, all of that inside. The people having a good time. I want you to know you can be facing a great test, but inside you're having a good time. And that's what Endur means. It means you're still joyful, even though all these things are going on around your life. All circumstances, all kinds of symptoms, all kinds of things may be showing up. But you're having a good time on the inside because you're in faith and you're occupied with your victory instead of being occupied with what's trying to rob you of your victory. So I want you to know that not only is the faith of God in you, the endurance of God is in you. And so you build that. You build that word strong in your spirit, and you establish a strong foundation. And know this, that no storm will make you frightened. And it will only tend to show you how great and strong the ability of God is to sustain you and to put you on the other side of any difficulty. Amen. Well, we're going to continue along this line next time. And until next time, remember this. Jesus is the healer. God bless you

In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her long-running series “In Christ I Can,” with a focus on the vital role of endurance in the life of faith. Drawing from biblical examples, personal stories, and practical teaching, Nancy encourages listeners to not only believe and confess God’s promises but also to “endure” as key to seeing victories and manifestations come to pass. The central message is that, in Christ, believers already possess everything they need, and through faith and endurance, they can receive every provision.
