There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

Welcome. We're so glad to have you with us today for Jesus the healer. And we are so delighted to be continuing in our series called In Christ I Can and I want us to turn today. Let's start by going to Colossians, chapter 2, verse 9. And this is the amplified. No, it's the living Bible translation. And I want us to read out of this. This has been one of our golden texts for this series. And it reads this way. For in Christ there is all of God in a human body. Listen to this next phrase. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are, are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. Just know this. Every other power that we would encounter, the power of sickness, the power of lack, the power of depression, the power of fear, all of those are a far lesser power. And so the power that's on the inside of us, the power that we're dealing with, it is the highest power. And so it's so important for us to recognize what this verse calls true. We have to call it true. And what is that? You have everything when you have Christ. So the Word is telling us everything that you're going to need to fulfill the plan of God. God has already provided. But it's simply our faith that's called for to receive everything, everything he has already provided for us. Now I want us to go to First Corinthians in chapter three. We'll start reading in verse 21. And again, this is the living Bible translation. And Paul is writing and he makes this statement. He said, so don't be proud of following the wise men of this world, for God has already given you everything you need. Look at that. Isn't that an amazing, all encompassing statement? Has already given you everything you need. How can that be well, we are full of God. We're full of the Word of Jesus, the Word, the Holy Ghost. We have the word of God to. To sow into our heart. What more could we need? Because out of God flows every provision. Out of God flows every answer. Out of God flows all the wisdom. So when we have him, we have everything. We're not going to run up to any. Any circumstance in this life and that circumstance be able to overcome who's in us and what has been provided for us. So we need to understand when this Word says you, you already have everything you need. We have to agree with that. When we're faced with a need, we can't say, I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm struggling so bad to get the bills paid. No, we have to say what God. So when the Word says, God's already given you everything you need, you say, father, I thank you that you've already provided everything I've ever need, I'll ever need. And you've assigned it to the. To the plan for my life. And so by faith, I receive all that you have already provided for me. So know this. He's already provided it. But it calls for our faith to receive what has been provided. Provided? Why? Because what he's provided, we have to partake of and to partake of. We have to do that by faith. So I want us to. Let's read that again. First. Corinthians 3, verse 21, the Living Bible translation so don't be proud of following the wise men of this world, for God has already given you everything you need. What's he's talking about? You're not going to have to go to the men of this world, you to gain. To gain their wisdom, because you already have a higher wisdom. You have the greater one on the inside of you. You had the divine genius on the inside of you. Don't go to a lower flow of counting on what men who don't know God would say. Don't go to a lower flow of leaning on someone else's worldly natural wisdom. Because we have in us a wisdom that cannot be surpassed. And so again, verse 21 says, For God has already given you everything you need. Verse 22 says this. He has given you Paul and Apollos and Peter as your helpers. Look at this, he begins. He lists three different men that God has given this church in Corinth. What are these? These are divine voices. They are ones that God has anointed to speak the word into this congregation. So when he says that God's already given you everything you ever need, notice this. He doesn't leave out men. He doesn't leave out someone who knows God better than you. God has filled people with himself and he sends them to speak into your life. Primarily, that's going to be your pastor. That's going to be someone who has been a spiritual voice in your life, but that should primarily be your pastor. So know this. To have to partake of everything God's already provided, you're going to need to listen to men. You're going to need to listen to someone who's going to teach you God's word. So know this. Paul said he. God has given you Paul and Apollos and Peter. Look at this as your helpers. They're not there to lord it over you. They're not to be the Holy Ghost to you. They don't lead your life. They help, unveil and teach and reveal the meaning of God's word to your life. But he calls themselves helpers. How many of you know you only have one Lord, and that is Jesus. And we're not to have men lording it over us, telling us how to live our lives, telling us decisions to make. We're to follow the Holy Ghost, but yet we have helpers to help us learn how the Holy Ghost, how He leads us, how to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit, how to recognize the dealings of God with our life. Because it's so much easier for us to learn from someone who already knows. And they're standing in front of us, such as your pastor on Sunday morning, standing in front of you, teaching you God's word, how much easier and quicker you learn when you're able to hear a voice. You're able to see a man. He's able to see your face, and he's able to diagnose by the Holy Ghost the health that you need. So don't overlook the men that God has put in your life. And notice this, when I say men, of course that includes any women. I mean, we're not. We're not going to trip up over that. Because when the Word talks about men, it's talking about mankind. And so God gives us those divine voices in our life who know God better than us. And know this. God will lead you to those who will lead you to Him. We're not to be following people who teach us to lean on them. Because the people we listen to need to teach us to lean on God. Lean on the Word. Yes, we can receive counsel. We can receive instruction, we can receive revelation from men. But I want you to know that that's not so. We can put our trust in men. We're always to only ever be leaning on God. But Paul said part of the help that we need are those men that God would give us to speak into our lives. So Paul says that he's a helper. He said that Apollos is a helper. Peter is a helper. Notice and recognize those people in your life who help your faith because they need to help your walk with God. They need to help you advance in spiritual things. Recognize who takes faith out of you when you talk to them. You can always be cordial to people. You can always be loving and kind to people. But you have to recognize who is to be a voice in my life. Well, the people who should be a voice in your life are those who put faith in you, put the word of God in you. You know, many times people listen to family simply because they're family. Well, as you, as you develop your own walk with God, as you advance in your own spiritual progress, you have to learn that nobody can trump God's voice in your life. You never let somebody else have a higher voice in your life than God. Thank God for our families. We love our families, but not all of our families maybe even have the counsel of God in their mouth. But maybe they don't have that. Maybe they haven't been taught what you've been taught. And so you can't just listen to someone just because they're family. You have to recognize, is this the counsel of the word of God in my. In my hearing that I'm. When somebody is speaking to you, is God speaking to you through that? And so recognize who puts faith in you, who sows the word in you, or who puts drama and difficulty and division in your life. You want to. You want to steer clear of that. Yes, you can love them, yes, you can be kind to them. But know who is to be a voice in your life. And don't just, if I could say this, live on autopilot, meaning you just let the people who you have always listened to be a spokesman into your life. You have to pay attention. Who do you speak to? And your faith comes up. Who do you speak to? And you find answers from God's word in their mouth. Recognize that, because those are the ones that God has given to help you. And I want you to know your victory is connected to another man. Because somebody has already been there. Somebody has already faced the test. You're facing they already know how the outcome is and they can warn you. If you make this step, I know where it's going to end up. I've been there. I've seen the outcome of that. So you have to be someone who's teachable. You know, if God is giving us someone, as Paul said, God has given the Corinthian church. He gave them Paul, Apollos and Peter. What's that mean? You're going to be teachable. You're going to have to be someone who listens. We can't, we have to recognize we don't know it all. And the Word is very clear about that because the Word tells us what we only know in part because someone else has other parts that we're going to have to listen to. You know, I appreciate what one precious man of God said. He, he was, he's a pastor himself, but he would come and be in our services because he says, as a pastor, I need to be fed. I want you to know if you're a pastor, you still need someone to help speak into your life, to encourage you in your race, encourage you in your call. As a, as a Minister for over 40 years, I've always had someone else that I listen to. Why? I want to recognize divine voices in my life to help me not just live successfully every day, but to reach the finish line so that I finish what I'm born for. Every person needs that, whether they're in the full time ministry or not in the full time ministry. And so this precious pastor, he said that God said something to him. He said, there are things that I will say to you in your private devotional time. There are things I'll speak to you by my spirit. But he said, there are only things that I will say to you through that divine supply that I put in your life. And you're going to have to be in their services to hear it. So know this. As a congregation member, as a sheep in the family of God, as a member of the body of Christ, you need a pastor. Why? Because you will not hear everything God has to teach you. Just by you sitting at home watching videos, watching, teaching. Listen, these resources, we're so blessed we can come to you on Jesus the healer and other programmers come to you and they teach the Word. But that's never going to replace a man of God seeing your face, who's a pastor to have oversight of your soul, someone you watch on television, someone, someone you watch online is not going to be anointed to have oversight of your soul, but a Pastor Will. And that is a safety net to our life. And so we need to recognize that God gives us men of God, women of God, to help speak into our life. Now when he gives those to us, we have to be teachable. We have to be willing to, to listen to someone. You know, we sat at a dinner table, my husband and I, with Kenneth Hagin, in 2003. He was holding his last crusade in the United States that he did in our church. And so we had him for a week. We were hosting him. And he sat around the dinner table one night after the evening service. And he made this statement that was very sobering. He said, most people don't listen when he said that. I examined myself. I said, God, I don't want to fall into the category of most people. This man was in his 87th year before he went home to be with the Lord. He had been in the ministry around 70 years. So he was qualified to speak about most people because he had been dealing for decades with the body of Christ. And he made this very sobering statement. Most people don't listen. Why do they not listen? Because they think they already know. And when you think you already know something, then you're not going to be open to hear something more from someone else. But I want you to know, always be teachable. Always have a tender heart. Always be somebody that is easily persuaded when you hear the Word. Don't be gullible. We're not believing everything we read on read in a book. We're not believing everything that we may watch online or see on television, because that doesn't loan credibility. What, what gives us credibility is Scripture. That when we teach the Word and we recognize that the Word is being taught to us, that we say, if that's in the Word, I'm persuaded. I'm going to receive that. I'm going to believe that. I'm going to hold to that. But we need to be someone who's easily taught. Not, not gullible, but easily taught. When they recognize the Word, that when they hear the Word, they recognize that's the Word of God. And I'm going to be quick to believe it. So know this. How we advance will be affected. And I'm talking about advancing in our lives spiritually will be affected by how, how, how easily we are led. How, how, how we listen to those who teach us how we listen to these divine connections that God has put in our life. Because if we'll listen, we'll accelerate more. I don't want to be somebody who has to go all the way down to the bottom before I recognize my way didn't work. If somebody is trying to warn me, instruct me, saying, don't go this way. I'm not going to be adamant and think I know it all and say I know what I'm doing. No, I'm going to be easily persuaded. I'm going to be easy to. I'm going to be easy to speak to. I'm not going to be a know it all, know it alls, find out they don't know it all the hard way. And I don't want the hard way. I want the easy way. So know this. Pay attention to those people that are divine supplies to your life, that put faith in you, speak the word of God in you, and that their counsel is accurate. You know, not everyone who tries to counsel you has the spirit of counsel. I mean, we have to have not just people's opinions spoken to us, but what would the Holy Ghost say to us? I recognize people who will carry the counsel of their, of the spirit in their mouth. For me, if they're just bent on giving me their opinion. I recognize that's just your opinion. And I don't, I don't quickly turn my ear to someone who is overly opinionated and very vocal about giving their opinion because my hearing isn't safe with that person. I want to recognize who is it that has the spirit of counsel in their mouth that they are, they're hearing some things that are in tune with the plan of God for my life, in tune with the spirit of God. And I can recognize that. Sometimes I find that in family, sometimes I find that in just ministers that I'm in fellowship with. But I know this. I want to be teachable. I don't want to fall into that category that dad Hagin was saying most people don't listen. So when he says most people don't listen, that means very few do listen. Well, I'm going to be one of the few. I'm going to be someone who I choose to listen. I'm not a know it all. And just because I've been in ministry longer doesn't mean I grow deaf to other people's wisdom. I don't start tuning people out thinking, well, I've been in this, so I know more. You know, I so love a testimony or. Well, it's really an event that happened. There was a man who. Two, two leading ministers were going to meet for lunch and each one of these leading ministers brought an employee with them to the lunch. One Minister brought his administrator. The other minister brought his financial man. So these two ministers were meeting for lunch and one minister who brought his administrator, they arrived at the restaurant a little bit. They arrived a little bit early. So when the second minister arrived and this second minister introduced the financial man that he brought with him, the first minister who was already at the restaurant, he had never seen this financial man. This is the first time he had ever met him. And the two ministers were shaking hands. And the one minister said to the minister, this is my financial, you know, advisor or financial man. And the other minister never seen him before. And he looked straight at this other minister as he shook his hand and said, don't you know that man's going to hurt you? He knew that by the spirit. And I so love what this other minister. Both of them had been in the ministry for over 50 years. They were leading voices in the body of Christ. And when that one minister was so accurate and bold to warn this other minister, I love what this other minister did, he turned his financial man and said, you're fired. Right there. Why? Because he said he recognized the counsel of the Spirit in the, in the mouth of this other man. Now I will say this. That man who fired his, his financial man, right there. Do you know his ministry was far more known than the other minister. But they still were equal. They were peers in ministry. Just because one is more recognizable than the other by public doesn't mean in the spirit realm they hold a higher place. He was submitted to another man. That spoke volumes to me when I said, look at this. This man is in his 80s and he was so willing to listen to another man who walked with God. He was so willing to be taught he wasn't in his 80s and going, Bless God. I've done this a long time. Nobody's going to tell me what to do. He was so willing to be led when he recognized the spirit of God speaking. Now, I know this about this minister. He would not have fired that financial man without it bearing witness with his spirit. He wouldn't have done it just because another man said it. But no doubt that bore witness with him. Why? Because anytime God would speak to you through another man, God's already said that to your own spirit. He's already dealt with you. And sometimes we just recognize that's a confirmation. No doubt that minister recognized this is a confirmation. And he just turned to him and that just blessed me so much that he didn't fall into the category that dad Hagin was talking about that say most don't Listen. He was one of the few that listened. No wonder he was a leading minister. No wonder he was on the forefront well into his 80s. In fact, he didn't. He didn't go home to be with the Lord until well into his 90s. But I was able to learn this characteristic about him. He was someone who listened to those who knew God and so know this. Paul said that in everything that God has given us, in that everything that he's given us, he's given us men. He's given us those who have walked with God, those who know God. And he. He puts them around our lives as safeguards. So I want you to know primarily, your pastor should be that person first and foremost in your life. That's why you don't just attend any old church just because it's convenient. You want to be led by the Spirit as to where you attend church, because that man will carry answers for your life. Not every man will carry answers for your life. The same someone can be a wonderful pastor that preaches the Word. But if God hasn't put. Hasn't led you to be under that minister, you want to find where is the place God is leading me. Because where God leads me to be, he has very specific help for my life. There's going to be an anointing on that pastor where God puts you under so that he can nourish the call on your life. And I'm not talking about a call to ministry. Every single person in the body of Christ is called to something. And so you have a plan that God is. Is wanting to fulfill through your life. But you're going to need the help of those who know God better than you. So be. Be wise. Recognize who puts faith in you, who sows the Word in you, who edifies you when you're around them. Who is it that puts drama in your life? Who is it that causes conflict? Who is it that would introduce strife or try to draw you into a wrong place? Recognize the right people and the wrong people and then know their place in your life. You can. If someone is not helping you advance spiritually, that doesn't mean you have to become unkind. It doesn't mean you have to, you know, say anything unlovely, but you just know to close your ears. They're not a voice in my life. And so thank God for the ones that God puts in our life because they are part of everything that belongs to us in Christ. So know this. When a pastor is standing in front of his congregation, he belongs to those people Notice this again. This is what Paul said in First Corinthians, chapter 3, verse 22. God has given you Paul and Apollos and. And Peter as your helpers. You need to look at your man and say, God's given me that man of God. No, he's. He's there first to be God's vessel, but he's given him to my life. Because without a pastor, without a shepherd, the Word tells us the sheep are scattered. And so to keep my life from being scattered, to keep my life from fainting, I have to have a pastor, someone who speaks the word of God into my life. And so they are gifts to us, and we need to see them. They're a gift to God. They're a gift from God to my life. That means if someone were to criticize your pastor to you, if someone were to say something that was inappropriate against your pastor, you already know. Shut that out. Correct. That. Nope. That's my man of God. He's a gift in my life. That doesn't mean he's perfect. This is not about perfection. It's about who's anointed, who is the divine connection in your life. And so we recognize that every man has feet of clay. But still, there are those that God anoints to help us in our life. And we don't ever find fault with those people that God has put to help us in our life. We pray for them because when they are accurate, our life is helped. That's why we should be praying for our pastor and recognizing when he stands in front of me, he's God's gift to my life, to my family. And I need what's in him. I need what's in my pastor in the. In the life of the pastor's wife. They are gifts to my life, and I will not dishonor them. I will honor them. I will protect their voice because they are helpers to my life, that part of everything that God has given me in Christ. And I honor every part that God has given me. Amen. Well, I didn't intend to stay that long on that subject, but it's important to us, because when the Word tells us that in Christ we have everything, part of that is divine help through those people that are anointed to speak into our lives. And so we thank God for them. Well, we don't. You don't want to miss next because we're going to continue along this direction. And until next time, remember this. Jesus is the healer. God bless you

Podcast Summary: "Jesus the Healer w/ Nancy Dufresne"—Episode 981 | In Christ I Can, Part 221 (April 6, 2026)
In this episode of "Jesus the Healer," Nancy Dufresne continues her extensive series “In Christ I Can,” focusing on the completeness believers possess in Christ, as detailed in scriptures such as Colossians 2 and 1 Corinthians 3. The main theme is the sufficiency of Christ for every need—spiritual, physical, and emotional—and the essential role that God-appointed spiritual leaders play in a believer’s journey. Dufresne emphasizes that divine connections (pastors and other helpers) are part of "all things" God has provided for His people.
