There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now.

top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad to have you today with us. For Jesus the healer. Thank you for taking the time to join us. And it is such a joy to bring the word to you. And it is one of the great delights and joy of my life to be able to spend this time with you. So thank you for taking the time to join us. And we're going to be continuing in our series called In Christ I Can. And I'm so glad that the Holy Ghost has directed us this way because, I mean, it's fed me so much, and I'm trusting that it's feeding you. And there's this topic, my goodness, there's no way we'll ever reach the end of it. And really, in eternity, we're still going to be singing and experiencing what belongs to us because we belong to Christ. And so it's such a joy to bring this to you. And I would encourage you, any episodes you may have missed, go back and watch them again because they'll be a blessing to you. And we also encourage you meditate on the things taught in these episodes. And you do that by watching it again and again and again. You know, when I have needed answers in my life at certain times, I would be led by the Spirit of God to listen many times to a certain sermon. And whenever the Spirit of God would lead me to one or when I recognized that there was help for me in a particular sermon, I would listen to that thing over and over. I'm talking like 50, 60, 70 times, even more in some cases, because that's how we drive that word into our spirit. And it's when it's established in us that it works for us. And so go back and watch any of the episodes that have really spoken to you over and over again. Watch them repeatedly, because that's one way of meditating on the Word. Of course. We want to remind you that in teaching on this series in Christ, I can we're learning really who we are in Christ and who he is in us, for us and through us. And when we recognize that, we no longer struggle with a poor self image because when we learn who he is, we really learn who we are because we are in him, he's in us. And there's just when we find out who we are in him, it removes all the struggles in life. So recognize this. If there's some arena you're struggling in, go back and find in the Word who you are in him pertaining to that arena of life. And so to do that we've made some resources available to you. You can go to our website@jesusthehealer.org and this is just a sampling of some of the in Christ scriptures. This one you can of course download. It's completely free. Go to our page called bookstore on our website and you can see where you can download this completely for free. You can keep it on your device or you can print it out and carry it with you. Then we also have the larger format and this contains, my goodness, 120 pages of in him scriptures. It's loaded. And a friend of this ministry took 229 different Bible translations and he compiled the best of those translations and he put them in this larger document. So that is free to you. So take advantage of that and as we said, don't just download it, but feed on these things, meditate on them. Because when you see who he is, you really see who you are too. And so I want us to go today to Ephesians chapter 3 and verse 20. Now we recognize that because we're in Christ, everything that belongs to him belongs to us. The Word tells us that we are joint heirs. We are co heirs with Him. So everything that the Father has given to Jesus, he gave to us as well. How can that be? Well, Jesus is the head, we are the body. How can a head have something and a body not also have the same flow? How can the vine have something and the branch not also receive of that flow? There's no separating the flow of what belongs to the vine also belongs and is going to flow into the branch. What is part of the head is also going to be flowing into the body and vice versa. So I want you to see this, that there doesn't need to be a stopping point from Jesus to us, but it's one continual flow because we are one with him and Everything that belongs to him belongs to us. Jesus. The Word tells us this even as he is talking about Jesus. So are we in this world, meaning we don't have to wait to heaven till we go to heaven to experience the oneness and the flow that belongs to us because of our oneness with Him. So I want you to see Ephesians, chapter 3, verse 20. Now this is the King James translation and listen to the largeness of what this verse tells us. It says now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us. Now the amplified classic translation of Ephesians 3, verse 20 reads this way now to him who by, in consequence of the action of his power that is at work within us, is able to carry out his purpose and do superabundantly far over and above all that we dare ask or think infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes or dreams. Look at that. I mean this verse. There is no ending to what this verse offers us, the largeness of it. Now look again. I want to just look at the wording in the King James translation. It says, now God is able to do. Look at the adjectives here. Exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. So know this that if you can ask for it, if you can think of it, God wants to do far above that. So don't limit God to just what you can ask. Don't just limit him to what you can think. But let him take your asking further. Let him take your thinking further. The Word tells us that God speaking says, my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. My ways are higher than your ways. He's not trying to distance us from him by saying, look how much further I am above than you are. He's inviting us to come up, come up into thinking. That we would think, humanly speaking would be impossible for it to be carried out. But he said here that he will do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Now, because the Word tells us that God God makes this statement. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts. I see it this way. If you can think of it, God's not going to use it. Why? Because his thinking is so much above our thinking. And how many times we try to figure out our solution, we try to figure out our answer. We try to figure out the way God is going to do something. And then people will many times get disappointed because the way they anticipated God to use, he didn't use. Well, why would he? He's got Higher ways, higher thoughts. So let's not. Let's not shortchange our lives by limiting God, by us trying to direct how he's going to meet our need. Now think of this. You look in the life of Daniel. He was a man who lived right before God. He lived clean. And if you look at the life of Daniel, you'll see a life free of scandal. There is absolutely no scandal around this man's life. We can read other. Our other forefathers of faith, so to speak. And we'll see. The Word will record places where there was a weakness or something that took their life a little bit off course in one way or another. And that's not to make them look bad. It's to show how God deals with men and how God works with men, even those who aren't perfect, because every man of God has feet of clay. We don't expect perfection, but we know this. We have a perfect God who flows through men who are imperfect. But we see that in the life of Daniel, he lived in such a way that there's not recorded any scandal. Now, he was a political man as well as a spiritual man. And he was raised up, trained and educated to have a place in the political arena. And his enemies. Because, you know, in the political arena, there's enemies. And these enemies to Daniel, they. They looked for ways to find something to accuse him with. Now, that speaks to every political. Every political era. There's always been opponents in the political arena trying to find something on their opponent. And they will. They will dig back far into the past. They'll go back to past relationships. They'll find any piece of dirt they can to turn that against that political figure. Well, this is what they did to Daniel. They were trying to find something to accuse him with. And his life was so clean before God that the only thing his opponents could find. Listen, people that hated him, people. People that wanted to remove him, all they could find on him was he prays. And he prays too much, and he prays daily. That's the. That's the lowest thing they could find about this man. Think of it. How many lives could endure that kind of examination? And all they could come up with, the negative, was he prayed. And so they took really what was a strength in his life, and they tried to turn it to be something that they would use against him. So his enemies really tricked the king into making an edict that no one could pray to anyone except to the king. And so Daniel didn't change anything that he did. He opened his Windows, like always, every day. And he prayed. He wasn't concerned that the enemies were going to hear him or accuse him. But notice this, this bogus charges that were brought up against Daniel. And when they were doing these mock trials against him, they were bogus charges, meaning there's no foundation under them. There's no really legitimate charge. And God did not deliver him during that process. Think of that now, don't you know, Daniel would have thought, hey, this would be a good time, God, for you to intervene. And he didn't seemingly even intervene, not anywhere along the way of this process. There were several steps in the process. Listen, Daniel was a political figure. He had seen this form of capital punishment that when someone was charged with a crime and they would be thrown in the lion's den. This was nothing new to him. He being a political figure, he knew about this way of capital punishment. And he knew he never saw anyone come walking out of that den of the lions. But notice, don't you know, he could have thought, God's going to deliver me at this point. And he didn't. And he could think, God's going to deliver me at this point. And he didn't. God's going to deliver me. He's going to visit the king in the middle of the night and give him a dream, show him I'm innocent. And God didn't. What is that? Now, see, it says that God does exceeding abundantly above all that we ask, look at this or think. And so it looks like God's not coming through for his man. Why? Because we think that we know a good way for God to work. We think we know a good way for God to meet our need. We think we know a good way for God to. To deliver us. And if he doesn't use what we think. Many times people lay down their confidence in God. Well, we are not authorized to decide how God will work, how God will move. Now, we do know this according to the word, God does not forsake his people. We know God will always work for us. But we're not always. It's not our position and our responsibility to dictate to God how to do it. Why? Because God is always right and God knows best. Now think of this. When God didn't take any of the processes along the way in this event in Daniel's life to intervene and to deliver Daniel, it goes all the way to Daniel being thrown in. I mean, as Daniel was coming up to the mouth of that lion's den, don't you know that in the Natural Daniel could have thought God, now would be a good time, because I've never seen anyone go in and come out. But Daniel knew God better than he knew how that punishment worked. So what did. What happens? He's thrown in. It looks like God has abandoned him, his man. But God's thinking is higher. So Daniel is thrown in that lion's den, and what do we see? We see God perform for him in a way that he's never performed for any other man up to that time. And Daniel, no doubt, I don't know if he spoke to the lions. I don't know if he just went in there confident that God would do something while he's in the den. But know this, he was not troubled. He had his. He did not have his face turned toward the lions. He had his face turned toward God. You can't focus on what's opposing you and be peaceful. You have to focus on who delivers you if you're going to be peaceful. And so we know this, that Daniel had been practicing a life of keeping his face turned toward God. Therefore, when he was faced. Faced with the lions, he knew how to still keep his face turned toward God, to keep his attention on God, not keep his attention on what was opposing him. Now we all are most. Most of us will be acquainted with the story what happened. Though those lions had no interest in Daniel whatsoever. It was completely against their nature. But whether they laid down and slept, whether they just. Whether they just became, if I could say this, like a domestic animal to him that night, I don't know what their behavior was, but we know they didn't touch him. Why do we know this? Well, not only does the word say this, but this is part of his covenant that angels are encamped round about us to deliver us in all our ways. And so Daniel, even if God hadn't spoke to him and said, those lines won't touch you, he knew by covenant that there's angels that would keep those lines from touching him. He. He was not, if I could say, casting away his confidence in God. Because God didn't seemingly intervene at this point. At that point, at that point, at that point, he didn't face the mouth of that den by going, say, God's abandoned me. He was cast into that den, still trusting God. Why? Is it because he did not think that his thoughts were higher than God's thoughts? You have to face any opposition knowing the thoughts of God are higher, and he has a higher way of working in my behalf. Now think of this. When the king comes the next morning, and he realizes that he's been used in this ploy against Daniel's life. He calls to the mouth, he comes to the mouth of the lion's den, and he says, daniel, was your God able to deliver you? And Daniel did not spew out words of offense, words of hate, words of rebellion. He said, oh, king. He said, yes, he did deliver me. And not only that, he. He came forth of his own. You know, he comes out of that lion's den completely untouched. So what happens is the. The system that these opponents, Daniel's opponents in the political arena used to try to end his life was the same system that was used to end their life. Now you have to think of this. If God would have delivered Daniel when this first started erupting, if he would have delivered him at any process, any step along the way of this process, those men who accused him would still be in place. But when God and his thoughts, his ways went into place, not only did God deliver Daniel, and he became a partaker of a miracle that no man had ever seen before. God was able to. Then the king did this. He says, what you have used against this man will now be used against you. And because he went all the way into that lion's den and yet delivered, these men were now thrown all the way in, and what they served was not big enough to deliver them. I want you to know, never serve anything or anyone who's not great enough to deliver you. And only God can do that. And so what we see is that when those opponents were thrown into the lion's den, them and their families were completely removed from the earth. What was that? Daniel was able to occupy his seat of authority without those opponents. He never faced those opponents again because that. That lion's den was used by God as a way to remove his opponents from his life. If God would have delivered Daniel through the trial process, through any other process going leading up to that lion's den, his opponents would have still been in place, and they would have harassed him and troubled him throughout the rest of the time that he occupied that position of authority. But in the high thinking of God, the highways of God, that he not only delivered Daniel and gave testimony to the king that there is a king, there is a God in heaven that delivers his people, he was a testimony to the nation. But not only that, those opponents are forever gone, and he never had to deal with them again. When God works to deliver you, he's not just wanting to bring you relief. He's wanting to make sure that that which tried to arise and trouble your life never returns to trouble your life again. Now our thinking can't see that far. Daniel no doubt couldn't see that far in his own thinking, but he did not doubt that God's thinking was not leaving him out. It was not going to put him in a place of risk. God still had a miracle for him. So I'm saying this to you, that if it doesn't look like the help and deliverance is showing up the way you thought, guess what? The Word already tells us this, that God works exceedingly, abundantly for far above anything that we ask or think. So don't cast away your confidence in God just because he doesn't work or move the way you think he should move and operate. Because the way he chooses will far bless your life. Much, much greater than any way you can conjure up or how you think God ought to operate. So what. What do I want to encourage you in? Quit thinking up your own route of deliverance. God doesn't need the way you think of it. God has his own way of thinking and his own way of delivering you. And so what we are to do is say, father, you know best and you're always right and you see the big picture. Listen, we only see what's in front of us. But God sees everything around us. And not only that, he sees that troubling that can be avoided in the future. And so he will operate and move and deliver you in such a way that it works for the whole and not just for that moment in time. If God would have delivered Daniel prior to being thrown in the lion's den, he would have delivered him from that moment. But the way he operated it delivered him from the rest of the time on earth, from those opponents. Those opponents never surfaced. Again, what am I saying to you? God's thinking is higher. So we're never casting away our confidence just because God didn't take our counsel on how we think he ought to work in our life. I want you to know we are free from trying to be God. That seat is not vacant and we're not occupying it. But know this. The way God thinks, the way God moves, is exceeding abundantly above anything we could ask for and anything we could think up. And I want to look at this in the Amplified Classic translation again. Ephesians, chapter 3, verse 20. It says now to him who by, in consequence of the action of his power that is at work within us. Look at this. His power is at work within us, whether you recognize it or not. Whether you feel it or not, his power is not a stagnant and inoperative power. It's an active, moving power. And you need to always know this. The power of God's working in my situation. Even if you don't see any evidence of it. You're to say the moment you release faith, power always begins with operating it's faith that activates the power of God. And the power of God is never separate from your life. But you do have to employ your faith to activate that power that is part of your life. So he says that power that is at work within us, he is able to carry out his purpose and do super abundantly far over and above all that we dare ask or think beyond our highest dreams, beyond our highest desires, beyond our highest thoughts, beyond our highest hopes, beyond our highest dreams. Look at that. If we could dare to think of it and lay in bed at night and we could, if I could say this, imagine to the farthest point that we could go in our imagination, God is superabundantly past that. Now. I love this word when it says that the way God works and moves is far over and above all that we dare ask or think. You know, growing up as a kid, did you ever have a friend that would say, I dare you to touch that, I dare you to pick that up. I dare you to go knock on that door. I dare you to eat that. You know how many times we would have someone dare us and we would take them up on that dare? I want you to know God says dare ask it, dare think it. And if you'll dare to the furthest you can ask, to the furthest you can think, he intends to go super abundantly beyond that. So I just want you to know that you are not going to exhaust God's ability when you think, oh I've asked so much, oh I believe for so much I have asked large we have to realize there is a. There is such a vast difference between how far our thinking goes and how far his thinking goes. He invites us into his thinking, but we're not to think in a way that limits Him. And know this. No matter how far we think we have advanced in our thought life with God, there's always more to and I want you to know that we are never to put the limits of our thinking on God and say this is how we think you ought to do it because I just trust him enough. Say, Father, whatever method you think, whatever avenue you want to use, whatever person you want to use, whatever steps you want to take, I trust you completely because you can be trusted and know this will never cast away our confidence in Him. Amen. Well, we're so grateful to be able to take this time and share it with you and we're going to continue next time along these lines and until next time, remember this Jesus is the Healer. God bless you.

Host: Nancy Dufresne
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her long-running teaching series, "In Christ I Can," focusing on the inexhaustible riches, authority, and flow of God available to every believer through union with Christ. Nancy particularly highlights the theme of Ephesians 3:20—God’s ability to do “exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think”—and demonstrates how God’s higher thoughts and ways often surpass human expectations, using Daniel’s experience in the lion’s den as a profound illustration.
On Meditation and Repetition:
“That’s how we drive that word into our spirit. And it’s when it’s established in us that it works for us.” (02:19)
On God’s Flow in Union with Christ:
“There’s no separating the flow of what belongs to the vine also belongs and is going to flow into the branch.” (05:55)
On God’s Higher Ways:
“We are not authorized to decide how God will work, how God will move. ... God will always work for us. But it’s not our position and our responsibility to dictate to God how to do it.” (20:00)
On Daniel’s Perspective in Trouble:
“You can’t focus on what’s opposing you and be peaceful. You have to focus on who delivers you if you’re going to be peaceful.” (22:51)
On the Purpose of God’s Deliverance:
“He’s not just wanting to bring you relief. He’s wanting to make sure that that which tried to arise and trouble your life never returns to trouble your life again.” (24:57)
On Trust and Confidence:
“Father, whatever method You think, whatever avenue You want to use ... I trust You completely because You can be trusted and know this: we’ll never cast away our confidence in Him.” (28:10)
Nancy concludes by urging believers to never limit God by their own expectations. Instead, trust in God’s unending, super-abundant capacity to do even more than we can ask or imagine, and never cast away confidence just because His methods or timing differ from our own.
“Whatever method you think, whatever avenue you want to use, whatever person you want to use, whatever steps you want to take, I trust you completely because you can be trusted ... we’ll never cast away our confidence in Him.” (28:10)
