There's enough power in every sick room and in every hospital room to raise up that sick one that may be describing you. You may be in a sick room, you may be in a hospital room. And I want to remind you, power is present. That power is there to do a work, believe in what's not. Try to get something, but notice that he's already made it yours. It's present right where you're at. Say, I receive that power. I receive that power. I receive it right now. I receive it right now from the top of my head. From the top of my head. The soles of my feet. The soles of my feet. Welcome. We're so glad you're joining us today for Jesus the healer. We invite you to get your Bible and get something to take notes on and follow along with us because we're just believing God for answers for your life. And we want you to note anything that he would say to you. We're still in the midst of our series called In Christ I Can and we are offering you some information, some resources that we want to get into your hands. You can go to our website@jesusthehealer.org go to the bookstore page and you can download completely for free. We have the in him scriptures. This is just a sampling of some of the scriptures, but then we have a complete listing of them. And this is what it looks like. And we have, I believe it's 229 different Bible translations that are referenced in this larger compilation. And we want to get that into your hands so you can begin to feed on and meditate on these scriptures that tell you who you are in Christ. Because when you see who he is, you really see who you are. Because as he is, so are you in this world. And so we are learning to discover who he's made us to be. And then we're learning to live as rich as we are. And we have been using in this series, our golden text has been Colossians, chapter two, verse nine. And I'm going to read out of the living Bible translation. Paul is writing and he says, for in Christ there is all of God in a human body. So you have everything when you have Christ. And you are filled with God through your union with Christ. He is the highest ruler with authority over every other power. So know this. Every other thing, every circumstance, every situation that would oppose you, it's a lesser flow than the. Than the greater one on the inside, inside of you. And I so appreciate this statement that Paul makes when he says, you have everything when you have Christ, and thank God that means physically, mentally, materially, for your home, for your business, for your family, whatever the need may be. The answer for it is in Christ. Everything that God planned for your life, he put in Christ, and then he put Christ in you. And so now all we have to do is draw on and partake of the greater One that's on the inside of us. And how do we do that? We do it by faith. Our faith is so very important because that's how we tap into the flow of the greater One that's on the inside of us. Who he is in us is not an automatic flow. We have to open the door for him to flow, manifest and produce in our lives. And that is, we open. We open the door of faith to Him. And so by faith, we open that door and we draw on who he is. And we. We have to learn this in the face of every situation in life. We're to ask ourselves, what does the Word say about this? What does God say about this? Because when Paul makes his statement, you have everything. When you have Christ, it's not just something tangible that we have. It's not just a home, a building, a business, resources. We also have offered to us the thoughts of God, the wisdom of God. How many of you know the Word of God is the thoughts of God written down for us? Why? So that we can come up into his way of thinking. And part of what belongs to us in Christ is a sound mind. That's part of our inheritance. And there is no need to ever have a troubled, struggling mind. When we have been given a sound mind in Christ is our inheritance. And as we renew our minds with the Word of God, taking on God's way of thinking, we come into that soundness of mind. Know this. It's an unsound mind to say, I'll stick with my own way of thinking, even though God's offering me his thoughts. No, we say, I'm taking the thoughts of God and I'm making them my own. That means that when we see what the Word says, and it's not in line with how we've been raised to think or how we've just been operating in our. In our daily life, we lay down the way we think to pick up the way God thinks. Because when we do, we're picking up wisdom. And wisdom is the principal thing. It's the answer to every difficulty, every challenge in life. And so when we have everything, we also have to recognize we have the word of God, the thoughts of God, the wisdom of God available to us. And as we move by faith, we can implement that word of God and we can draw on everything God has made ours. Now, in previous episodes, we were looking at Isaiah, chapter 48 and verse 17, the King James translation. I want us to go back and look at that passage again. God is speaking. And he said, I am the Lord thy God, which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Now, when we look at this word prophet, he's not just referring to something financial, because in the Hebrew, the word prophet means to climb, to ascend, to excel, to gain ground. Another one says, rising above circumstances. So what's that mean? There's always further to go in God. God always offers us more. That we're not to just stay at the point we've always been, but we're to advance. How many of you know that it takes faith to move with God? It takes faith to not be stagnant and not just be left behind at the point where we've always been. But we're to keep advancing with God, and we do that by faith. So it says again in Isaiah 48, 17, I am the Lord thy God, which teacheth thee to profit. He'll teach us the way to go. He'll teach us steps to make so that we can progress, so that we can go further, further in the plan of God, further in moving with what God has authored for our lives. God just won't leave us where he found us. Thank God. He loves us as he. As we are, but he don't. He doesn't leave us as we are. He teaches us to advance and move further with him. And it goes on and says, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go? Listen, he won't make you go a direction, but there's a way your life should go. And he'll lead you that way. He won't force you that way. He won't drive you that way, but he'll get out and he'll lead you and say, you can come this way if you want to. You know, that's one thing about when you're learning to discern. Is God leading me or is the devil trying to take me off course? One thing that you'll find, God leads. He doesn't push, he doesn't drive. To have someone that's leading you, that means they're out in front of you. But the devil will get behind. So to Speak and try to push you through pressure, through opposition, try to make you look like you don't have a choice. But you better hurry. You better do this, do this, do this. God doesn't drive us. He leads us. And the thing about with him leading, he's up front, and he doesn't force us to follow. He just offers us the right way to go. And if we're not careful, even though he's leading, we can turn and make. We can go to the right or left when he didn't make that turn. So we have to make sure that we don't. We don't try to get out ahead of God. We keep him in the lead. We don't try to take that lead position away from Him. He will lead us and he'll teach us how to follow Him. He'll teach us how to advance in Him. He'll teach us how to live above circumstances because he will teach us to profit in every single arena of life. And know this, God is wanting to raise our level. He's wanting to raise the way we live. He's wanting to raise and improve the quality of life. But we're going to have to follow him if we're. If we're going to experience that. God said to me years ago, he said, I'm not the one who determines the standard of your living. You determine your standard. So know this, that you can live any standard you want. And he'll back you up even if it's a less than standard. He'll help you to live exactly at the place you're reaching for. But if you want to reach for more, he'll empower you to reach for more. Reaching for more doesn't offend Him. Whenever Jesus was feeding the multitude, there were 5,000 men that day. So you know, there's at least 20,000 people because there's women, there's children. There was a great multitude that day. They had been following Jesus and listening to. Listening to him in a rural country setting. And Jesus told his disciples, he said, I don't want to send them away without feeding them because I don't want them to grow weak and weary on the way back home. So he said, let's feed them. And of course, they were thinking in their own resources, what can they do to feed this great multitude? But there was a little boy who offered five loaves and two fish. And you think, well, why would he offer that? Well, the little boy thought, this is enough for me. Why isn't it enough? And so he offered something. And Jesus Took what was not enough, and he looked up to heaven. He blessed it, he break it, and it became more than enough. When did it become more than enough? In the distribution. So know this, that when you're believing for God, if you'll. If you're believing God for increase, just start distributing what you do have. And in the distribution, use your faith, and God will cause what is not enough to become more than enough. But what we see about this one, one, one of the writers of the gospel, when they recorded this passage, and I believe it's in the amplified classic translation, it said, and they. They all took as much as they wanted. So when the disciples distributed that food, it began multiplying. And it said, and they took as much as they wanted. Notice it didn't say they took as much as God wanted for them. God did not put any limits on their taking. Jesus didn't put any limits on their taking. He didn't say, hey, there's a multitude out here. Kind of try to hold back a little bit. No, you know that some people would have taken quite a lot. They hadn't eaten, they'd been with him for several days. And it said, they took as much as they wanted. I want you to know the inheritance that is yours in Christ, it'll never run dry. Take as much as you want, and in the taking as much as you want. That means that we're not troubled or we don't criticize someone else who took more than us. God didn't give them more, they took more. You know, you could have in that distribution among that multitude, you could have somebody saying, hey, don't take that much. Well, Jesus never said, don't take that much. They could watch somebody maybe take more or less than them, but there was no limits on them. Look around at someone who didn't take much and say, well, I shouldn't have much. Take as much as you want. And I want you to know, whenever you renew your mind with the word of God and you begin to see how large God is in his generosity, how expansive he is in the blessings that are on your life, that nothing of God will limit you. That he'll never say, hey, you want too much. Hey, you're asking for too much. Hey, you think too large. You'll never find that from God. He will always fund a large reach. He'll always fund the large hand of faith. And so know this, that if we're not having all that we want, then we're invited to take more. And we'll never offend God at it in the taking. And I know this. I have had different people in times of ministry that they would say, well, you know, I don't really have a. Have a problem being generous and giving to others. I just have a problem with being generous toward myself. And I said, well, that's still poverty, because prosperity works in the giving, but it also works in the receiving. And I want to say this, we know this, that even in Genesis, early on in creation, God established a law. It's called the law of sowing and reaping. And it is a law that when you sow something, you reap something. Well, I want you to know when we sow and we're generous toward others, we should reap a harvest on that. And I want to put it in these terms to you. If you sow but you fail to reap, you broke the law. It's not the law of sowing, it's not the law of reaping. It's the law of sowing and reaping. So to be generous in the sowing, but not be generous in reaping a harvest, you're breaking the law because the law is sowing and reaping. So know this. It's not holy to not reap. It's to break the law to not reap. Because these two things are forever joined together, sowing and reaping. So know this. Think larger. Because God will not rebuke you for thinking large. He won't rebuke you for harvesting all that belongs to you for reaping the fullness of the harvest. My dad was a cotton and wheat farmer for four decades, and he never once went out to a crop that he had planted and said, you know what? There's just too big a harvest for one family. In that. He never. He never decided, I shouldn't have all that harvest. He saw it in his field. He knew it was his. And I want you to know you should never look at something and say, that's just too much for me. Not. Not in the mind of God. But I want you to know you'll only receive as much as you take. Because that's what it said about the people in that multitude that day. They took as much as they wanted. Sometimes people say, well, how come somebody has this and I don't? Well, increase your want. Because they took as much as they wanted. If you don't want more, if you don't want much, you don't take much. But if you want more, God will fund and he'll supply and make sure that you have your handful of the taking. If you'll just reach out with that hand of faith and take it. It honors God when we take abundantly what he's provided. Think of it in this way. If a woman cooks and she cooks a big lavish meal for her family and they just come and they just take tidbits, they just take a little bit and she's worked all day, she's spent a lot of time, she's spent money to go and provide that meal and the people just kind of nibble on it. They don't take much of it. That mom is not very pleased with that crowd because she did too much to provide for them and they didn't value what took her time and effort and money. I want you to know it cost Heaven everything for you to have everything. So we need to honor the price that heaven paid by lavishly enjoying, lavishly appreciating, lavishly partaking of everything that's been provided. Amen. That's renewed thinking. That's right. Thinking it doesn't honor God when we think we shouldn't have it because it costs him everything for you to have everything. And it pleases him when we take everything he's provided for us. Amen. I remember this one story for a period of time. My son and his wife and their, their youngest, their oldest son rather was young and they were moving from one house to another. And so they lived with us for a short time. And I would travel of course with my husband's son. But I was pastoring at the time, so I was home more. And because my grandbaby was in the house, I wanted to make sure that grandbaby that I cooked for that grandbaby. Now I didn't always cook for everybody else, but I wanted to make sure that grandbaby was fed. So I would cook if I was at home, I would cook for our family, I would cook for my husband if he was home. And my son's daughter in law and my daughter in law would help and my sister son would help. But I'm just saying I wanted to make sure that grandbaby had a meal without a receipt taped to it, you know, so I would cook. And one night, I mean I, I made some chicken fried steak and I had made mashed potatoes and I had made gravy and the green beans and I had done the whole got more of a southern cooking thing and I made homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch. This wasn't anything out of a can. I mean we made it all that night and I went back to the room. We had a sitting area in our, in our master bedroom. And my husband was back in that sitting area. And when I had gotten dinner prepared, I came back there and I said, I said, supper is ready. And he said, well, I wanted to go eat. And he named it Fast Food Joint. And I said very lovingly, very directly, I said, get to the kitchen. Why you're not going to go off to some fast food place when I have been, I have been all afternoon in that kitchen making that dinner. He got up there and he went in there and he ate. And what pleased me, everybody wanted more. And because they wanted more and they came back for seconds that when it all ran out, they couldn't believe that there wasn't more. But that's what pleased me when they took all that had been provided. I want you to know it doesn't please God when we say I shouldn't or, you know, I've messed up so much in life, I made so many wrong decisions. I shouldn't have this nice of a house, I shouldn't have this nice of a car. Get to the kitchen. He provided it all. He doesn't like having argument of why he should not. Why you should not have something. I want you to know everything in Christ belongs to you. And it honors God when we partake of it. And we're going to have to partake of it by faith. Amen. Well, Jude makes this statement, he wrote, and he said, earnestly contend, faith. Why? When we earnestly contend for the faith, then we're. If I could say this, we are putting in place a faith in our life that can receive much of what belongs to us in Christ. I'm reminded of how the testimony that we are to have a robust faith, not a struggling faith, not a faith that barely gets by, but we are to contend for the faith. And it says the faith that was once delivered unto the saints. What's that mean, the original version? I mean, not a watered down diluted version of faith, but the original version of faith. Earnestly contend for it. Why is that? He wouldn't say earnestly contend if there wasn't going to be opposition to it. He's letting us know there's going to be opposition. So you be earnest and you contend that you don't give up on anything of the faith, that that belongs to you in Christ. And so it says, earnestly contend for the faith, letting us know you're not going to float into this, but on purpose, you're going to develop a faith that Lays hold of everything that God's provided. And God wants us to have a robust faith. And if we're not moving with a robust faith, thank God, he'll correct us. He'll talk to us. He'll give us a talking to. And sometimes we need a talking to, right? I mean, Jesus would turn to his disciples and say, where's your faith? I mean, he would rebuke them for not using the faith they had. And can I say this? The devil is always trying to point to you about your measure of faith or how much faith you have. Because the devil, if you're faced with opposition, the devil would say, you don't have enough faith for that. You don't have enough faith for that. He's always trying to get you mindful of how much faith you have. But the thing that I saw about Jesus, it wasn't so much about how much faith they had. It was, were they using the faith they had? I want you to know, don't be so occupied about how much faith you had. Just use the faith you do have and what will happen. It will cause that faith to be fortified and strengthened and keep feeding your faith. Because everyone who has a great faith never started with a great faith. They just kept. They just kept feeding their faith and exercising their faith every day. There was one minister that she. She had taught on healing for years. She was one who was a woman of faith. But at some point in her life, she was 62 years old and due to some kind of physical condition, she didn't spell it out, but she ended up in a wheelchair and she ended up blind. I don't know if it would have been maybe something with diabetes that affected her feet, affected her sight, I don't know what it was. But here at 62 years old, even though she had had a thriving ministry, she's in a wheelchair and she's sitting there blind. And one day Jesus appeared to her and he stood in front of her and he just said this. What are you doing in this wheelchair? Meaning, this doesn't fit my children. This doesn't fit you. So she had just settled back into a place through test and opposition, and she was not taking. Taking the strides that she should be making. And when Jesus did that to her, he stood in front of her with that correction, what are you doing in this wheelchair? He wasn't mad at her, but he was letting her know, you have faith for something different than this. And she said, it woke her up, it woke up her faith. And that woman not only received her healing and was up and out of that wheelchair, received her sight. She lived till she was 104, and she drove herself across country preaching till her dying day almost. She was not relying on other people to service her life, to cart her around. But I want you to know it can look like you've been giving up ground. Take it back. It looks like sometimes in our lives that we've laid down some things, pick them back up. There are things that I started believing God for in my faith. And I realized I just let it kind of fall by the wayside. We've all probably done that in some way to some measure. But I want you to know, pick it back up. Because when you've sown for something and you've sown the word in your heart, you've even sown financially for some things, you've sown in serving in the local church, you've sown in serving your pastor. Can I tell you this? A spiritual harvest never rots, that it is still available for you to reap with your faith. Now, my dad, when he would plant cotton or wheat, there was a time when that crop would reach its peak. And he would always want to make sure he harvested at the peak of the season. He didn't want to harvest it too young, he didn't want to harvest it too late. Why is it if a crop was left in the field too long, it would rot and he would not be able to get any kind of harvest from that crop? That seed that he had planted, well, I want you to know, in the spirit realm, it doesn't rot. And you can go back. And things you should have been walking in years ago, don't beat yourself up for it. Just go reap it and begin to walk in some things. Enjoy some things that God's provided for you. Don't lay down any of it. Earnestly contend for the faith. Because if we've gotten behind in our faith, we can catch up in our faith. If we've let some things go, we can pick them back up. You know, God no doubt has said things to you of what the plan of God holds for your life. Don't lay them down. When my husband, when he went to the Lord, went home to be with the Lord, there were things that God had spoken to him about his future. There were things that God had shown him about his future. And you say, well, didn't God know that he would not live out the years to see those? God doesn't show us and speak to us based on what he knows about us. He speaks to us what he knows about his plan for us. So God was showing him his plan. And so when my husband, when he went home to be with the Lord, I looked at those things that were, if I could say this, unfinished that God had shown him, that was to happen. And I picked them up. I decided, I'm going to walk this out. I'm going to join my faith to this. And why is that I could do that because I was called in a similar flow as my husband. It wasn't like he was called to fivefold ministry and I wasn't. We were both called to fivefold ministry, so it suited what I was called to. But the things that some of the things we're doing today, I just decided they weren't going to go unfinished. I was going to add my faith to them. What am I saying? It's never too late. Pick it up. I said pick it up. Because all that belongs to you in Christ is so abundant and everything good belongs to you. We don't need to leave any of it unaccessed. Amen. Well, you don't want to miss next time. And until next time, remember this. Jesus is the healer. God bless you.

It is my joy to spotlight some of the most important books that I've been able to write. These are on the Mind. There's three of them that's in this bundle. First of all, there's the book A Sound, Disciplined Mind. And then we have this one, Living Free From Worry. And then the third one is called Answer It. God has given us revelation on it and we want you to get hold of because I want you to know that a sound mind is part of your inheritance in Christ. But we have to learn how to cooperate with God in receiving and walking in that flow of a sound mind. You can get these materials today by going to our web site@jesusthehealer.org and you can order them from that place. God bless you.

Episode 994 | In Christ I Can, Part 234
Date: April 23, 2026
In this episode, Nancy Dufresne continues her long-running series "In Christ I Can," exploring the deep spiritual truths of what belongs to believers through their union with Christ. She teaches on the themes of faith, the inheritance available in Christ, how to receive and take hold of God’s promises, renewing the mind, and the importance of robust, active faith to live above circumstances. The episode offers both theological insight and practical exhortation, using both scriptural exposition and relatable life stories.
Nancy Dufresne’s tone is warm, exhortative, and encouraging. She urges listeners to actively participate in their inheritance in Christ, to be bold both in giving and receiving, to renew their minds with the Word, and to never limit God’s supply or their own expectations. Her use of scripture, practical stories, and strong declarations seeks to equip believers to walk in all God has provided, without guilt or small thinking. The message underlines personal responsibility in faith, the generosity of God, and the necessity of an active, robust trust in what Christ has secured for every believer.
