Welcome to the quick Rogan review of the week. You know, one thing that's been interesting doing this show over the years is hearing from you guys, the listeners. Because a lot of you don't just message me about the episodes, you message me about what's going on in your lives. I get a lot of emails and, you know, they're about different things. You guys trying to improve your health, maybe get sober, guys trying to build something, fix their marriage, figure out what their purpose is in life, all kinds of things. And it's funny because if you really think about it, that's kind of always been the quiet thing underneath Rogan's podcast. Always his message, in a sense. You know, a lot of people think it's comedy or MMA or crazy conversations with scientists about hunters or UFOs or Bigfoot or whatever it is that Joe's talking about that week. But if you've listened long enough, like I have, for God, I don't know, 15, 16 years or whatever it's been, you realize something else has always been going on, and it's a lot of people trying to figure out how to become a better version of themselves. That's definitely what has happened for me. I started listening years ago like everybody else, and just because the conversations were interesting. But over time, something about that world kind of nudges you. You start working out more, maybe you start reading more, you start asking bigger questions about what you're doing with your life. And honestly, that path is a big part of what eventually pushed me into going back to school. And really becoming a therapist, definitely finding men's groups. I found those directly through a guest that Rogan had on his podcast who I met. And, you know, it's. It's even still kind of weird to. To say that out loud, but it's also made me realize something about this audience. There's a lot of people here who are actually trying to improve their lives. And yeah, that's. That's something that I've been thinking about that might be part of this whole Rogan universe that's worth paying a little bit more attention to. Anyway, just food for thought. Let's move on to this week's review. March 3rd through March. Basically, you know, this week had a very classic Rogan lineup. A legal deep dive, a chaotic comedian, a major international celebrity interview, and a combat combat sports discussion. It's the kind of mix that shows really how Rogan programs the show to hit kind of multiple audience segments in the same week. He really spread it out. We've got Aaron Siri. Stevo. Freaking legendary Stevo. Priyanka Chopra, Jonas and Shakur Stevenson. I think I said that right. First up, Aaron Siri, episode 2462. So Aaron is a constitutional attorney and a managing partner of Siri and Glimstad llp. He has become widely known for his work on medical freedom litigation, vaccine liability law, and Freedom of Information act cases targeting government agencies such as the FDA and the cdc. So, you know, a lot along the same lines as, I think, what RFK Jr had been up to in his legal career. A lot of this episode focused on legal frameworks surrounding vaccines, liability protections and government transparency. This was one of those Rogan episodes that becomes more of a legal education than a casual conversation. It's pretty heavy in that direction. Rogan was clearly curious about how regulatory systems actually function behind the scenes. The major topics discussed were the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, which was quite interesting. Why pharmaceutical companies have liability protections, government regulatory structures, FOIA lawsuits against federal agencies, and institutional trust, and public skepticism. A lot of the online vibe and feel for this episode was pretty mixed. You know, it's a lot of that kind of COVID anti Covid, you know, skepticism feeling. Listeners who are interested in policy and legal structure found it pretty interesting. Others felt it was way too technical and, you know, just kind of a bit heavy. Some of the comments of the week. Regardless of your opinion, Rogan always brings on people you never hear anywhere else. And that's a good point. Like, I can't think of anywhere else you would hear this individual unless you went to like a law suit or a legal specific type of podcast, which is so niche I don't know why most people would go there. Another comment this felt like law school seminar, but I learned a lot. Kind of true. Episode rating for this one 7.5 out of 10. Interesting, but definitely dense and niche. Up Next, Steve O episode 2463. Obviously everyone knows Steve O. He's a stunt performer, comedian and actor best known for his MTV series Jackass and other films. Over the last decade he has become equally known for his sobriety journey and stand up comedy career. Steve O returned to Rogan for another wild but surprisingly reflective conversation and you know, and a little bit of, I wouldn't say controversy, but it was like this moment of sympathy for like trans people and Rogan kind of did this pushback element or maybe re education. There's, there's a bit of a viral clip online that might be worth checking out if you find that interesting. The big theme here is addiction recovery and personal transformation which always resonates with Rogan and his audience. The major topics were the insane Jackass, stunt years, addiction and his path to sobriety, fame and self destructive behavior, touring as a stand up comedian and lessons learned from nearly dying many, many times. One thing that stood out is how Steve O how honest he is about his addiction, which makes the conversation feel real rather than, you know, performative. And overall the online vibe is very positive. People receive Steve O well. He's one of the most liked repeat guests. Best Comments of the week Steve O has one of the best redemption arcs in entertainment. And also the fact that this guy survived his 20s is a miracle. I like that one episode rating 8.5 out of 10 high rating people like this one. Funny, chaotic and unexpectedly thoughtful, which is interesting because Johnny Knoxville had the same thing. And I think maybe if you were on the show Jackass because your life is often in such peril, maybe that makes you quite reflective. I don't know so Priyanka Jonas, episode 2464 is an Indian actress, producer and entrepreneur who rose to fame in Bollywood before transitioning to Hollywood. She has starred numerous international films and TV shows and is one of the most globally recognized entertainment figures. This episode explored international entertainment career reinvention and the differences between Bollywood and Hollywood other than just the one letter. Rogan was clearly fascinated by how the Bollywood film system works. So was I. It was quite interesting, which is dramatically different from Hollywood and major topics discussed growing up in India, winning Miss World in 2000, transitioning from Bollywood to Hollywood, global fame and media pressure and building businesses and brand partnerships online Feeling and vibe it was mixed mostly and but generally positive. The mixed vibe was a lot of that was just many people didn't seem interested in in kind of the topics or just her as a person I guess from what I can see. But some Rogan fans prefer the comedy or science episodes, but others enjoyed hearing about a completely different entertainment world. Comments of the Week Interesting here how Bollywood actually works. Another comment Not a typical Rogan guess, but cool perspective. Episode rating solid 7 out of 10 and overall, good conversation, but less intense than typical Rogan episodes. And then Shakur Stevenson. This guy, phenomenal boxer. He's an undefeated professional boxer and former Olympic silver medalist. He is widely considered one of the most technically skilled fighters in modern boxing. The episode focused on fight strategy, boxing technique, and the psychology of elite combat sport competition. Rogan clearly respects Stevenson's fight IQ and defensive boxing style, which sparked a deeper conversation about the mental side of fighting generally. Again, like the fighter that was on recently, the other boxer. I mean, if you're not a big boxing fan, again, it's one of those skippable ones. And I would say overall if, if you're not generally into the MMA type episodes, then the same kind of thing, it's skippable. But if you're a fight fan, I mean this guy's a legend. Definitely worth checking out. Major topics Defensive boxing strategy, fight IQ and reading opponents, training camps and discipline, Boxing versus mma, striking styles, the future of boxing divisions. Overall vibe very positive with fight fans. Yeah, of course, fight fans love that one Comment of the week. Rogan talking fight strategy is always great, of course, because he's gets pumped about it. Shakur might be the smartest defensive boxer right now, I think. I agree. Episode Rating 8 out of 10 Great episode for combat sports fans. Solid all around. Overall, online reaction for this week. This was a very balanced Rogan week. Yeah, people really liked it and the overall weak rating ran through our AI system. 8 out of 10 it was a strong week. Classic Rogan week. I mean it kind of had a little bit of a mix of everything. You know, a week where every episode landed in a different lane. If you only listen to one this week, I probably would recommend Stevo episode. It just had the most viral clips come out of it and you know, there's, I don't want to say some controversies around Steve O, but there's. There's just kind of a lot of talk and energy around what he's up to right now. So anyway, hope that was useful. Enjoy it. There'll be more reviews later in the week. Take it easy.
