Welcome to the Jonathan Shuttlesworth Podcast. To stay connected, go to revival today.com. and now, here is evangelist Jonathan. Proverbs, chapter four. How many have been blessed this week? Praise God, about 41%. Sounds like we'll try to get it a little higher. Proverbs 4. 1. My children, listen when your father corrects you, pay attention and learn good judgment, for I'm giving you good guidance. Devin, the sound is great. Don't turn away from my instructions, for I, too, was once my father's son, tenderly loved by my. My mother's only child. My father taught me, take my words to heart, follow my commands and you will live. Now Solomon's talking about David, talking to him, but this is also dealing with the Bible, that God's instructions bring life. Can you say amen? Get wisdom. Develop good judgment. Don't forget my words or turn away from them. Don't turn your back on Wisdom, for she will protect you, love her, and she will guard you. Obviously, this isn't talking about university wisdom. Look at this guy, just showing off. Doing it with one hand, I can't do with my whole body. No, it's okay. It's an old phone. It was already broken. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do. And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. If you prize wisdom, she will make you great, talking about the wisdom of God. Embrace her and she will honor you. She will place a lovely wreath on your head, and she will present you with a beautiful crown. My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you'll live a long, good life. My dad used that scripture as justification to kill me if I didn't do what he said. I will teach you Wisdom's ways and lead you in straight paths. When you walk, you won't be held back. When you run, you won't stumble. Take look at that. When you walk, you won't be held back. When you run, you won't stumble. So the Bible not only doesn't teach that you don't. That you don't have to fall. It teaches that you don't even have to stumble. And then you go on a straight path. Take hold of my instructions. Don't let them go. Guard them, for they're the key to life. Don't do as the wicked do, and don't follow the path of evildoers. Don't even think about it. Don't go that way. Turn away and keep moving for evil people can't sleep until they've done their evil deed for the day they can't rest until they've caused someone to stumble. They eat the food of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. The way, but the way of the righteous is like the first gleam at dawn which shines brighter and brighter. Everybody say, brighter and brighter until the full light of day. So the Bible is telling you there about not stumbling and not being held back and walking on a straight path. And then it says, if you do what the Bible says, your life will be like the sun when it comes up at daybreak. The sun doesn't go up and down like this, and you don't know where it's going to be in the sky. It goes higher and higher in the sky until it reaches noon at full light of day. So the Bible's saying, if you do what the Bible says, your life will go up and up. Not up and down, not two good months and one bad month. One good month, three bad months. The Bible says, say this with me, from glory to glory, victory to victory, and strength to strength. And so I want you to go now to Matthew, chapter 25. Now that we saw that in the Bible, because they, they kind of give you the idea in church that we all fall into sin. We all. I don't know, man. That's a really big mistake to make in how you believe. The Bible says in Proverbs 23, verse 7, the expectation of the righteous will not be cut off. Say this with me. What you expect is what you experience. Yeah. If you think it's normal to get Fs in school, you're going to get Fs in school. If you're shooting to get 55s, you're going to get 55s. If your parents tell you it's not normal to get Fs, I expect you to get A's. And you start making that the mark that you hit. Then you start shooting differently and hitting differently. Let me see. Matthew 25, verse 1, Matthew 25:1 NLT. Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The five who were foolish didn't take enough oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise and took extra oil. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight they were roused by the shout, look, the bridegroom is coming. Come out and meet him. All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. Then the five foolish ones asked the others, please give us some of Your oil, because our lamps are going out. But the others replied, we don't have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves. But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. Later, the other five bridesmaids returned outside calling, lord, Lord, open the door for us now. If they're calling Lord, Lord, they're not witches or Satanists or a callist. We have a. We have a free range, kid. Whoa, wait, wait. Before you take them back. Hey, if you're coming up to say hi, I like your Dodger shirt. Good to see you. All right, see you at the end. Your mom seems pretty controlling, so I'll let her go. Him go with you. Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned. No, it's all right. I'm just messing around. She's glaring at me now. Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside calling, lord, Lord, open the door for us. But he and the he is Jesus. This is right after Jesus finished Matthew 24, his diatribe about what you would see happen before he returns. And he said, now listen to this story. A man went away on a long journey, and then there were 10 that were ready waiting for him to come back. 10 were originally ready. And as he delayed his coming, five ran out of oil and their fire ran out. And then when he came back, all 10 thought they were going to go into heaven. But then he said to the five, I don't. Believe me. I don't even know who you are. Then he made it personal. So you, too, everybody say, me, too, you too, must keep watch, for you do not know the day or the hour of my return. Jesus is coming soon. I'm not going to get into Bible prophecy signs, but, I mean, even agnostics and atheists are coming around in record number because the stuff that seemed impossible in the book of Revelation is happening now. When I was growing up in the 80s and my dad would preach out of Revelation that in the. In the Antichrist system, no man can buy or sell unless he receives a mark in his right hand or in his forehead. We just got credit cards. I think Burger King started accepting credit cards like in 1991. Everything was cash. Now it's hard. If you go to a seat, a Mariners game, you can't pay cash for anything. If you go to a cracking game, the hockey game, you can't pay cash for anything. It's cash only. All the Stuff that the Bible prophesied that seemed so ridiculous, like it would never happen is all here. So the Bible says, now that you're seeing the signs, that Christ is going to return. Easter's coming up. We celebrate that. Jesus rose from the dead, but he didn't die again, different than Lazarus. He didn't rise from the dead and die again. He ascended into heaven. And the angel said in Acts 1:11, just as you saw him go, one day he'll return. When he returns, the Bible says some will be ready to meet him, but the majority of the world will be not. Not because they turn their back on them. There'll be some people like that, some Satanists like less than one. I mean, the Satanist had their national convention in Boston, if you follow me on Instagram. I actually sent them, like, an encouragement video. I said, Listen, I know 80 people showed up. Don't worry about it. It'll grow. Just stick with it. So, I mean, in the whole country, you only had 80 people go to the. The Satanist convention. Most people are not going to go to hell because they gave God the middle finger and said, I don't like you. I hate the Bible. I hate church. There'll be a few like that, but not many. Jesus said they'll miss it because of the cares of this world. You don't have people walk up to Pastor Russell on Sunday and say, now listen, our family's not gonna be able to come to church much anymore because we. We've decided as a family, we hate God. No, they'll say something like this, we have to work, or my son made the travel hockey team, and unfortunately, we got the schedule, bro, and the games are on Saturdays and we won't travel back. And time for Sunday church, the cares of this world, the desire of nice for nice things, and the pride of life. And so the Bible tells you basically the opposite of what you're going to hear from every preacher besides me and Russell and a few more where it's like, preachers nowadays think it's their job to lull you into being comfortable. Like Jesus coming. How many know whether we sin or not? His grace covers everything. If you think God's grace covers everything, go stab three people to death tonight. And then as they're hauling you away in zip ties, tell them how God's grace covers everything and they'll fry you in the electric chair. Well, in Washington, maybe not. They'll give you 20 hours of community service, but still, you'll be punished because it doesn't. Grace is not A covering for sin. Grace is a heavenly empowerment to live in victory over sin. Can you say Amen? And so if Jesus goes into these parables right after he finishes Matthew 24 to keep, everybody say keep watch. It's talking about keeping watch on your own life. If people kept watch on their own life with the same vigor that they keep watch on other people's lives, everybody would go to heaven. You got people on Facebook and Twitter right now criticizing Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Paula White, every preacher that's on tv, Donald Trump, the, the, the opposite of Donald Trump. They have something to say about everybody. But the Bible says a wise man keeps a watch on his own life. I spend 300 plus nights a year preaching, but when it's all said and done, basically all I can control is my life. My, my wife who's married to me and my daughter. The Bible says you can control you and your own house. And, and that's what my focus is on. I'm, I've been preaching the word every night. I'm going to preach it tonight as hard as I can. I'm going to call people to Christ. But really, when it's all said and done, people say, what do you think about Benny Hinn? I go months without thinking about Benny Hinn. I'm not sitting around thinking about other people. I'm getting the word out to people and calling them to Christ. But one thing's for sure, my number one goal is not to build more churches. My number one goal is not to have bigger crusades. Those are goals. But my number one goal is to make heaven myself. And what I want to do in this era of backsliding, I mean, there must be 50 plus ministries, mid level to high level ministries. I'm not talking little ministries, major ministries. We're in March, we're halfway through March. And there's probably 50 plus ministers that have fallen this year. Inappropriate text messages, sexual misconduct, child pornography, all kinds of things. So what I want to do, the Bible says in the last days, one of the signs is there'll be a great falling away. The Bible says a great departure from the faith. Many will depart from the faith. That doesn't mean that people that will get more sinful. It means people will depart from the faith. Let me ask you a question. Spokane has an airport, right? If I depart from Spokane, where do I have to have been at least once? Spokane. So to depart from the faith doesn't mean you were outside the faith and went further. It means people. I know some of these people, they were really in the faith. Guys that had big crusades, guys that were 10 times the minister I am that right now there's a crusade evangelist that doesn't even. He's in a bar probably right now in Oklahoma. One time he called a preacher friend of mine, he had a gun with him at the bar and the other preacher talked about killing himself. He doesn't even believe in miracles anymore. My friend that's a preacher said, what about the miracles in your own meetings? I mean, this guy in Africa had people get out of wheelchairs, blind people healed. He went, ah, I don't even know anymore. See, the devil is the author of Unbelief. If you give a place to him, he can take your spirit that was once on fire and make it cold and dead. But I came tonight to make sure that 300 plus people in Spokane will leave here on fire for God. And the fire will never go out. If you believe it, can you say Amen? Let me see. Revelation Chapter one. Revelation, Chapter one. So then what do you keep a watch on? Let me do. Revelation 1:14. Jesus makes an appearance after he rose from the dead. He comes back to visit John on the isle of Patmos. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like flames of fire. His feet were like bronze refined in a furnace. And his voice thundered like mighty ocean waves. He held seven stars in his right hand. A two edged sword proceeded from his mouth and his face was like the sun in all its brilliance. When I saw him, I fell as one dead at his feet. But he laid his right hand on me and said, don't be afraid. Everybody say, don't be afraid. I am the first and the last. I am the living one who died. But look, now I am alive and I live forevermore. And I hold the keys of death and the grave. Write down what you've seen, both the things that are now happening and the things that will happen. And then he tells them to keep going. Go to chapter two, verse one. No, no, I'll do the verse before the second part of it then. Seven star. The seven stars are the seven angels of the seven churches. If you look it up in a Bible concordance, they'll all tell you that's the seven pastors of those ancient churches. And the seven lampstands are the seven churches. Two, one, write this letter to the angel of the church in Ephesus. So Jesus comes back and has John write seven letters to seven churches now for all the people on Christian tv. And I'm on Christian tv. So I'm not against people just because they're on Christian tv, but I am against preaching crap that's not in the Bible. So when. When people say that grace covers everything and no matter what, what, you know, God forgives it all. God forgives all our future sins, present sins, and past sins. Bro. I would tell you after the ninth bro in a message, you're probably listening to bad doctrine. But when they say that, what do you do with the Book of Revelation? Because Jesus wrote seven letters to seven churches. Let me see what Chad GPT says. Hey, the seven churches that Jesus wrote letters to, if you were grading those churches by what Jesus said, how many would get an A? How many would get a C? And how many would get an F? Hello? If we were given grades based on Jesus's feedback, it might look something like this. Two churches, Smyrna and Philadelphia, would probably get an A since Jesus had no rebuke for them, only encouragement. A few, like Ephesus or Pergamum, might get a C, some praise, but also serious warnings. Laodicea would definitely get an F, as they were lukewarm and received the strongest rebuke. In short, some shining stars, some needing work, and a couple that got called out hard. Two A's, two F's, three C's. So Jesus said. Now, if Jesus was writing letters back to churches the way you hear most people preach, it would just be seven A's. Hey, I know you guys are having it hard. Some of you are sleeping around. We all make mistakes, dude. But he didn't write that. Some of them. He wrote, you're being persecuted and you're remaining faithful and I want you to know there's a reward waiting for you. A. Then there's others that he said, you're doing good in this area, but if you don't clean this thing up, it's going to destroy the church. Then there's others that he said, put Revelation 3, verse 1, Revelation 3:1. This is the letter to the angel of the church in Sardis. This is the message from the one who has the sevenfold spirit of God and the seven stars. I know all the things you do and that you have a reputation for being alive, but you are. I could have broke that up a little better. I know all the things you do. To me, this would be what would be written to the Charismatic Pentecostal Church in the United States and Canada, and I'm a part of that church. But generally this is what you'd write. I know you have a Reputation for being alive, but you're dead. That would be. It is. It is shocking to me to hear Holy Spirit filled churches preaching against Catholics and Baptists and everybody, as if they have it all figured out and there's less than 40 people there, no invitation to receive Jesus Christ. Nobody gets saved, nobody gets healed, nobody gets filled with the Holy Ghost. But they think they have everything because they've got banners and dancing and an electric guitar. You need to keep a watch on yourself and what you preach and how you live. Let me see. First Corinthians 9, 24 to 27 NLT. Don't you realize that in a race. This is Paul talking. The Holy Ghost talking through Paul. Don't you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to finish. Put it back. If you would run to what? Wouldn't you say that most preaching that you hear is run to finish preaching? As long as we make it. No, Paul said, I'm not trying to make it. I'm trying to win. You're going to win the prize when you stand before Christ in Jesus name. Everybody say run to win. All athletes are disciplined in their training. I think of there's a soccer player named Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He's a striker. He played. When you play striker, that's the main attacker in soccer. You normally are done at about 32. Maybe you can come over to the MLS and play 33 and 34, but you need to be young and fast to play that position. He played until he was 45 and went to a team named AC Milan in Italy that used to be a great team, but hadn't won a championship. They said, how much longer are you going to play? He said, until I bring A championship to AC Milan. And he did. I think at 45 years old, he's not a Christian. But they said everybody would go out and party. You know, soccer players are like famous partiers. Everybody would go out and party and drink. And he won it now, not because he was a Christian, not because of a religious conviction. He would not drink, he said, because I need to keep my body in top shape to win this prize. He reminded me of what Paul's going to say. He said, look at athletes that keep their body disciplined to receive a prize that will fade away. Or in our case, in America, if you win the super bowl, you don't even get to take the trophy home. If you win the Stanley Cup, I think every player gets it for 48 hours and you have to give it back. But Paul said, we're doing what we're doing to receive a prize that. That will remain forever. But he said, learn a lesson from athletes. All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. Now, if I didn't have any preaching to do this week or for the next six weeks, I don't drink alcohol. I never have and I never will. And the more I see, ministries get taken out from a casual stance on alcohol, which is a lot. Very few people have stone cold sober affairs. Excuse me, would you like to have sex? There's alcohol involved. There's places people go and drink there. There's a way that. Why do people drink? It makes me lose my inhibitions. It loosens me up. People need less loosened up. And so I had a preacher ask me one time. He said, you don't drink alcohol. I said, I don't. He said, I do. Okay, I wasn't bringing it up. You brought it up. He said, why don't you drink now? I just took it out of the realm of scripture because I'm sure he had his scriptures. You know, Jesus turned water into wine. If you can turn your tap on and get it to turn purple, drink all you want. It obviously was a supernatural beverage. But the Bible has about 51 things to say about alcohol. 49 are negative, one's neutral, and one's like, kind of positive. It messes people up. And then I'll tell you this, while I'm on the subject, after seeing a zillion people get their ministries and lives ruined by alcohol, well, I'll leave it. I'll just say what I said to that guy. I said, let's take it out of the realm of scripture. I said, I'm preaching. Back then, I used to do a 10am service and a 7pm service every day. So I said, when we were talking at night and he had ordered alcohol, he said, how come you don't drink? I said, I'm preaching at 10 in the morning. He said, well, yeah, but what about other days? I said, there are no other days. This is my schedule. 10:00am, 7:00pm so there's literally no time I could drink that. I. At my weight, I never haven't drank before. I would come into the pulpit hungover either at 10am or 7pm it would start getting very obvious that I had been drinking. You know, I was thinking, today, angels are like everywhere, bro. You're like, I think he's drinking. That doesn't sound like him. So I said, if I kept your schedule, I could drink. But at my schedule, even if you believed in drinking, you couldn't drink. So when you're busy about the work of the Lord, it cuts a lot of things out of your life that will sideline you. Can you say amen? All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. Now, I want to talk to you a little bit about the eternal prize tonight. And you may never hear anything like this again, but I want you to hear it tonight. Now, you don't have to believe this because this isn't in the Bible. The prize part is. But one old preacher at 92 died that night. His son that was in the ministry, that was like 68. He had a vision or a dream when he slept that his dad was received into heaven. And when he walked in, there was a massive stadium. And when he walked in, everyone was clapping. And when he looked, it was all the people who had attended his churches and received Jesus Christ throughout his whole ministry. And they made an announcement over heaven's loudspeaker when he walked into the stadium. Please welcome Pastor so and so. And everyone stood up and clapped and Jesus put a crown on his head. But my friend, there is a day coming. There really is a hell, but there also really is a heaven. And one day you're going to stand before God and hear, well done, my good and faithful servant. Enter now into the joy of the Lord. Everybody say an eternal price. 26. So I run with purpose in every step. I'm not just shadowboxing. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, this is Paul talking. I fear that after preaching to others, I myself might be disqualified. Paul didn't say, hey, once you're saved, you don't have to worry about it. He said, I actually still, as the head apostle, keep a close watch on myself, what I teach and how I live. King James Lest after preaching to others, I myself become a castaway. I want to preach tonight that you're going to spend Last night we dealt with giving your life to the ministry. But tonight you can make a consecration that not only am I going to start off well, I'm going to go in the middle well, and I'm going to finish strong in Jesus name. My culture may go to the left, my culture may go to the right, but I've made my decision. I'm going straight down the middle and I'm going to serve The Lord with all my heart, all my soul, and all my strength. If you make that decision tonight, let heaven hear your hand clap and your mighty shout. There's a church that I. I preached in quite a bit. It was one of the founding churches of Pentecost after Azusa Street. And today there was an old lady. I won't say her name, especially now that I called her an old lady, but she's a great preacher. They had her come preach at that church. And this is a church that was birthed after a video. I'm going to show you where people realized people had been taught that the things of the Bible weren't for today. There was no baptism of the Holy Spirit. There was no miracles. There was no gifts of the Spirit. And then people started reading the Bible and saying, it never says that I'm going to have what they had in the Book of Acts. Well, this church popped up, ended up being one of the largest churches in the country. And so 100 years later, which is not that long, I'm 45, I'm halfway to 100, just about, it goes quick, A hundred years later, they have this older woman come and preach. She's Pentecostal. She preaches on the baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues. That church that was founded on that doctrine gave an altar call for people that wanted to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues. A bunch of people came up, and as she got ready to pray for them, the pastor came with another mic and said, I believe that we'll all be filled as we go back to our seats today. And as we go to the parking lot. Thank you so and so for speaking. And cut the whole altar call off. So then as they were going back, he took the mic away from his mouth and. And he said, we have several donors at this church that aren't comfortable with that. And so though I do that and believe in it, we don't do it here. The fire went out. People compromised for money. People compromised. I'm telling you right now. You might think I'm talking tough if somebody came to me and said, I'm going to give you your ministry, $10 million a month. Just don't talk about the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I would tell them they can take their money, put it away somewhere. Almost forgot I was in church for a second and they could keep it. I will not be bought with money. There's nothing I'm going to allow to take me off this course. I'm not only going to make heaven I'm going to stick with the Holy Ghost, no matter how unpopular it gets. To be filled with the spirit and speak in tongues and pray for the sick and cast out devils. I made up my mind. I don't care what's popular. I care what the word says. And I'm going to have that in my life. Hallelujah. You feel the stirring in you tonight? God's calling people back to that. Nobody thinks they're dead. Everybody thinks they have a good ministry and that they're a good Christian. And if you got to know them, there's a reason I killed my wife. And if you got to know me, there's actually a reason I robbed the bank. I'm a product of a bad childhood or whatever. You almost meet nobody. It's why you can't get anybody to repent. Everybody's got an excuse for what they do, but a wise man. My dad taught me something. He's been preaching almost 50 years. He said, keep your Bible on your bed at night, and when you go to your bed to sleep, read it. And then he said, do a like an examination of yourself. Have I drifted closer to God today or further away? Because there's no neutral. And backsliding is never a blowout. Nobody finishes like me. Nobody finishes a message like tonight that's never had any alcohol and goes, you know what I want to have? Crystal meth. No, it's a slow. Like a tire leak. It's a slow leak. And. And then people in. In. In not making decisions or in making wrong decisions. After months or years go by, they realize, son of a guy. I used to be faithful to church. I used to be on fire for God. I used to be a soul winner. And I'm nothing now. I'm lost. And so I want today. This is not to condemn you. This is because if I'm going to fly from Pittsburgh here, I want everybody in this place not to have just had a good time in church, but to have an assurance in your soul. I know I'm living a holy life. I know I'm living a life that's built on the word of God. Can you say amen? And so how did this thing start? How do you have a church that used to be full, go, empty? How do you have a church that used to have five, by the way? That church that doesn't allow speaking in tongues, that was built on speaking in tongues? They used to have 5,000 people on Sunday. They have about none now. 80, 60. It's empty. People can't see it. You know, the Bible talks about how it blinds you people, they can't see it. They think everything's going great. We have small groups now. We're up to 11. They don't see it. They don't take a step back and realize we've gone down, not up. How did this thing called Pentecost blow up in 1906? Now, obviously it's in Acts, chapter two, but what the Bible calls it, the latter rain. That everything that you see in the Book of Acts is going to happen again in this hour. Everything you see in the book of Acts is going to happen again in this hour. It's happening right now. When the city has to send people on a Thursday night and say, there's too many people, we're going to count heads. And the devil's already trying to shut down a church that used to be empty. It's a sign that God's not going to let the devil have the last say in this generation. Can you say amen? Yeah. So I want you to see, you know, you only know what you know if you think high cuisine is chicken fingers and French fries in a tub of ranch dressing. And I'm not against that. But if you think that's Michelin star food, that's what you know. But then you go eat somewhere else, you know, My dad told me, his mother, we have like Scottish, Irish descendant ancestry. The Scottish and Irish are great people, but they boil the hell out of everything. They make steak. Not well done, like extra well done, like a hockey puck. My dad said I hated steak. Then we went over these rich people's house in Wisconsin that went to my dad's church, my grandpa's church, and they made a steak, medium rare. My dad said I cut it and ate it. And I said, what is this? I've never had this before. And my grandma spoke up and said, yes, you have, Tiff. That's steak. I make it all the time. He said, this isn't steak. This is something else. Well, it was steak, but compared to her steak, it was something else. And so if you think church, if all you've ever had of church is a boiled old piece of shoe leather and you say, I hate church. It's boring for what you know it is. But I want you to know tonight there's a medium rare juicy steak. And you can taste and see that what you had is not what there is, that there's a God that touches and blesses his people. Can you say amen? Watch this. I want you to see what. What launched all this.

April 9, 1906. The location 214 Bonnie Brae Street. On the third day of a ten day fast, William Seymour began to preach to the prayer group from Acts chapter 2, verse 4. And they were all three filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
A
Pause. It they the city sent people to count heads here. I just want to say something by the Holy Ghost. This specific church pursuit. Spokane will never have a building big enough to hold the crowds that will come to hear the gospel here. Continue.
B
Afterwards, Mr. Edward Lee asked Seymour to lay hands on him as they did in the Scriptures and pray that he would receive the Holy Ghost. When they finished, Lee lifted his hands and began speaking in tongues. This experience sent shockwaves through the room and at the same time a young lady named Jenny Moore fell from her stool where she was sitting.
A
The power of God fell and I was baptized in the Holy Ghost and fire with the evidence of Spirit speaking in tongues. As I looked at God, it seemed as if a vessel broke within me and water surged up through my being which when it had reached my mouth, it poured out in a torrent of languages God had given me. I sang under the power of the Spirit in many languages. And in the home where the meeting was held, the Spirit led me to the piano where I played and sang under the inspiration, although I had not learned how to play.
B
Several other believers in the room were knocked to the ground by the power of the Spirit and six of them began to speak in tongues as well. Their shouts of joy could be heard throughout the neighborhood as the prayer meeting overflowed to the front porch.
A
Pause. That's what our churches do. They overflow buildings, so get used to it. It's been happening for over 100 years. They broke the porch of that poor family's home that hosted the prayer meeting. Keep going.
B
Many curious neighbors gathered and soon others began speaking in tongues and praising God. The word spread rapidly. By the next morning, the crowd had grown so great that it was difficult to approach the house. The porch became a pulpit as William Seymour began to preach to the crowd. This continued for three days and nights. It has been said that during this three day street service, the house shook under the exuberant praising of a hungry people. Even on one occasion, the porch collapsed at the weight of all the people. Services continued almost day and night with healings reported and hundreds of people filled with the Spirit. After the third day, it was determined that a new location was needed.
A
After the third day, it was determined the new location that was needed. That's, that was, that's code for the family said get out of here. You've ruined our home. Keep going.
B
House the growing crowd of seekers. William Seymour and his followers soon found a vacated two story church building. Previous used to stable horses. It had been converted into apartment housing upstairs with a large unfinished bar like room on the downstairs. Its address was 312 Azusa Street. The revival at Azusa stretched from the early morning deep into the evening every day for three and a half years. One woman described the services with the following words.
A
A sound like a rushing mighty wind filled the room. And I was baptized with the Holy Ghost and fire. Rivers of joy and love divine flooded my soul. God also gave me the Bible evidence of receiving this experience and letting me speak in another language. But the greatest joy in my heart was the knowledge that I had received power to witness for Christ and power to tell others what great things God can do in a human life.
B
William Seymour would preach and soon following his sermon, the altars were flooded with seekers. No urging was necessary. By the end of the first month you could find 800 people gathered within the building and over 500 gathered outside. And it only continued to grow.
A
There was such power in the preached word that people would shake in their seats and many would have the power fall on them as the word germinated in in their hearts and they would burst out speaking or singing in other languages. Holy Spirit. Would they lay hands on them or would they receive the baptism and speak with tongues back in the audience? Or did they have a tarrying room or what?
B
Well, they had a room upstairs they
A
called the upper room where you went
B
to tarry for the Holy Spirit. But we could not control the spirit of God.
A
Sometimes a person would receive the Holy
B
Ghost right in an audience with, without even an altar call. Just stand right up and begin speaking in other tongues as the Spirit give up. I maintain you don't have to come to a specific place called an altar.
A
You give up in your heart and
B
the Lord will save you.
A
Then there, wherever you are. People heard them speak in their own language. The Japanese, Chinese and all the different nationalities. They heard them speak and the gospel was preached to them. You mean they had not learned these languages? Oh no, they had not learned because the spirit of God filled them. Now you saw this and heard this with your own ears? I certainly did.
B
Thousands of people visited the mission services over the course of three years. Whether they were drawn by a spiritual hunger or a fascination for the bizarre. Whatever the case those who came were impacted. Many who came with unkind motives left for full of the Holy Ghost and a desire to spread the message of Pentecost. Hundreds of people were baptized with the Holy Ghost. Then hundreds turned into thousands and thousands turned into millions.
A
History reports that guy in the bottom right corner, his name is John G. Lake. He pastored here in Spokane before he came to Spokane. Coming out of those meetings, he went to South Africa and started 1100 churches in five years. Yeah, that's what the Holy Ghost does. Keep going.
B
Revival as the greatest revival to ever sweep across North America. More than any other time in Earth's history, we need the Spirit to fall again on us. Now is the time. Today is the day. We need a fresh outpouring of God's spirit on our nation like never before.
A
Read that out loud, if you would, On all flesh. Everybody say, the fire must never go out. Let me see. Revelation 3, 15 NLT. I know this is Jesus to another church. I know all the things you do. That you're neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other. But since you're like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, this is not written to sinners. This is written to the church, neither hot nor cold. I will vomit you in the King James out of my mouth. They cleaned it up for new living. Translation. Keep going. You say, I'm rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing. That's how churches are now. They have plenty of money. There's. There's denominations that I could name that. Their average attendance in America on Sunday is like 26, 22. I don't know how that's like. I don't know how you can have that few people come to church. I could fry chicken and get more people to show up than that. But they got money in the bank, you know, they'll even say. They'll. They'll literally say what Jesus said and not realize they're saying it. We. We're one of the largest holders of real estate in the world. Our real estate holdings are worth over a billion dollars. You say, I'm rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing. And you don't realize that you're wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. All of those things are bad by themselves. All of them together. To be wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked, that's terrible. 18. So I advise you buy gold from me, gold that's been tried or purified by fire. Then you'll Be rich. Also buy white garments from me. Everybody say purity so you will not be ashamed of your nakedness. And ointment for your eyes so that you can see. I correct and discipline everyone I love. Don't change this verse yet, so be diligent. Turn from your indifference. The Bible says the mark of the end time church would not be that they're cold, but that they're not hot, they're lukewarm. And he didn't say turn from your wicked sin. He said, turn from your indifference. Indifference. What do you think about church? It's good, you know. Are you coming Sunday? We'll see. Let's call it indifference. No, no. Made up mind. Turn from your indifference. Look, I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and will share a meal as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne just as I was victorious and sat with my father on his throne. Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the spirit and understand what he's saying. To the churches. Is anybody here an auto mechanic? No auto mechanics in the whole place. Anybody know how to fix a car? Good Lord. Nobody wants to do it professionally. You hate money. I believe you. You look like you can fix a car. Okay, if I told you my car is not working and now you haven't seen it, but then ask me some questions, what would be your first question? Huh? What's wrong with it? It won't run. I can't get it to turn on. Huh? Check. What? Check the spark plugs first. Okay. I checked that. Those are okay. What else? Fuel. The tank's full. What else? Say it again. Power. Oil. The. There's a checklist. If somebody tells you things aren't working, there's a checklist to get the car to work again. So spiritually, if you read the Bible, there's a checklist if things aren't working, if life's not working, it's not God. And don't get around a bunch of other failures in church that just say, yeah, nothing works. No. Remember Proverbs 4. The path of the upright shines brighter and brighter. So if I know the problem is not the car, the problem is something is broken down. Just like you can have an automobile checklist. What's a Bible? Checklist to check. How can I know whether I'm lukewarm or cold or hot? What's the way to measure it? Number one. Nehemiah. Eight, ten. Then he said unto them, go your way. Eat the fat, drink the sweet. And send portions unto them to whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy unto the Lord. Neither be ye sorry. For the joy of the Lord is your strength. Psalm 16:11. Thou wilt show me the path of life in thy presence. In the presence of God is fullness of at his right hand pleasures forevermore. Another scripture. Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. How can you tell when you're living a life that that's overflowing with the Holy Ghost? That you're carrying the fire of God? Number one, Mark. And I have it Number one for a reason. Everybody say the word Joy. The Bible says when Jesus sent the disciples out to preach, they came back and joyfully reported everything that happened. Happy are the people whose God is the Lord. You're not supposed to look like you were baptized in pickle juice, You know, we'd have old people in church. That's Brother Anderson. He prays six hours a day. To who? The devil? Why does his face look like that? Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. My wife and I were preaching in. I won't say where. We were preaching at a conference. It was 11 years ago. And the one preacher was a big name preacher. He was standing next to me, said something to him, light hearted. And he went like this. And then I said another thing to him and he was like. And then he was just like this the whole time we were there. And I turned to my wife, I'm not judgmental, but I said, that guy's got some kind of sin because he's not happy. Nobody has a face like that and is living clean for the Lord. And so it came out less than a year later. The lady that he had with him on the trip that he told everybody was his goddaughter. He was married. He was sleeping with her on the road and he left the church, wouldn't repent. And yeah, you could tell people that are living right before God are the happiest people you'll ever meet. You meet Dag Heywood Mills that you saw doing those meetings in Africa. He's having fun. I've been with him on the road. We laugh. Me and Pastor Russell have laughed so much. Russell's lost even more weight this week because we're laughing. When people made flowers of that helicopter. We didn't. We didn't issue a statement back. We made fun of it. We made an AI Thing of that critic falling off the helicopter. Okay. I was just making sure it wasn't. Making sure it wasn't antifa. I thought they were man they're recruiting super young. They would say, happy are the people whose God is the Lord. Last week, that lady with the 666 tattoo and her family came and got hit with the presence of God. They came in with stern faces, they were tattooed up with occultic symbols. But when they came to receive Christ, they didn't get more serious. They laughed for an hour, laying on their back. Because joy is a fruit of the spirit and joy gives strength. I prophesy tonight, everybody that came in here battling depression and fear and anxiety and worry. God's giving you a baptism of joy today in Jesus name. If you receive it, go ahead and do it. You're already doing. Clap your hands and give God a mighty shout. Somebody shout hallelujah. So keep, keep an eye on your joint meter. We've been preaching all year and it's been difficult. Something's wrong, brother. The Holy Spirit. The Bible says they beat Paul. I'm telling you what kind of joy there is in the Holy Ghost. They beat his back with rods, put him in prison in iron chains and shut the prison door. And the first thing he did was not call a lawyer or write an epistle. He prayed. And he didn't sing worship to God. He sang what to God? Praise, which is exuberant, full bodied expression. And the Bible says the other prisoners heard them. Not through the Sheetrock. There was no Sheetrock. It was stone, a dungeon. And all the prisoners. You beat his back. He was 60 years old, beat his back, lock him in prison. And he goes, hey, I feel like singing something. And he starts singing. And soon all the chains fell off and all the prison doors came open. Because they can't take your joy when it comes from the Holy Ghost. And if they can't take your joy, they can't take your strength. Number one, check your joy. Number two. Jeremiah 15:16. The words. Thy words were found and I did eat them. And thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart. For I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts. Thy words were found and. And I did eat them. Jeremiah said, I ate this thing. I feast on this book. Psalm 119:97. Oh, how I love thy law. It is my meditation day and night. Number two, A passion for God's word. Days should not go by without you reading the Bible. Joshua chapter one. Meditate on it day and night. You know, as much as Pastor Russell and I joke around, like during the day and are enjoying ourselves without trying, we end up talking about scriptures. You can't get around a man of God for very long. Dag Heywood Mills called me the other day, and we were just talking. We're talking ministry. Just hadn't talked in a while. He was on the golf course with a little Bluetooth thing in, and he goes, hey, did you ever read the Scripture, Proverbs 11:25? He that waters others will be watered himself. He said, that's what I taught on for the offering on Sunday. He said, I looked up what it meant to water, and it means to make grow. So when you make God's thing grow, he makes. You know. We weren't trying to talk about the Bible. The Bible is a dominant thing in the life of the believer. They that love thy law, they meditate on it day and night. Let me see Joshua 1 2, Joshua 1 2. You can do nlt Moses, my servant, is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan river into the land that I'm giving them. I promise you what I promised Moses. Wherever you set your foot, you'll be on land that I've given to you. Then it tells all the land. Verse 5. No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will never fail you, and I'll never abandon you. Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Don't deviate from them turning either to the right or the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do. Study this book of instruction. Continually. Meditate on it day and night, so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in everything you do. This is my command. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Let me see. Psalm 23. The Word. This word. These words. They'll make you a different person. The Lord is my shepherd. I have everything I need. He makes me rest in green meadows. He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength and guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. He restored. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I'll dwell in the house of the lord forever. Deuteronomy 28. Deuteronomy 28, 1:14. And it shall come to pass. Let me see. Nlt if you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I'm giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. Everybody say, high above all the nations of the world. I'm not saying it after the fact. I could pull up YouTube from three years ago when we were acquiring an aircraft. I told the church, they just think you're nuts and you want your own plane. I said, the Lord spoke to me to go and acquire an aircraft because the day will come if I don't that I won't be able to do what he called me to do because air travel will become so discombobulated that you won't be able to keep your travel schedule. So get your own jet. Well, here we are right now. You can't fly out when you want. Three hour TSA lines, 50% of flights canceled. But I won't be affected by it because There's a Falcon 900 that God gave me to go into all the churches this weekend and do what God's called me to do. I will set you high above all the nations of the earth. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God, your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. Everybody said, my children are blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you'll be blessed. The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They'll attack you from one direction, but they'll run from you in seven. The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land that he's given you. If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do. Then all the nations of the world will see that you're a people claimed by God and they'll stand in awe of you. The Lord will give you prosperity. And I don't believe in that. Well, then rip the page out of your Bible. But it's there anyway. The Lord will give you prosperity in the land. He swore to your ancestors to give you, Blessing you with many children, numerous livestock and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many, but thou shalt not borrow. If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I'm giving you today and be careful to obey them, the Lord will make you always the head and never the tail. You will always be on top and you'll never be at the bottom. That means the last defeat you saw will be the last defeat you ever see. This place is clapping and shouting and all I've done is yell those Bible verses at you. There's a ton more in there. God has told you he's going to make you strong. He's going to give you victory. He's going to bless you. He's going to give you homes to live in. He's going to take care of you. He's going to protect you. The Word gives you strength to stay on fire. Number 3. Ephesians 6:18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for the saints. Nlt pray in the Spirit. How often and how many occasions? Jude 1:20. But ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith. Praying in the Holy ghost. Jude, verse 20. But you dear friends must build each other up in your most holy faith. Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit. What do you read Jesus doing in the morning? Having bacon and eggs or withdrawing to go do what? Pray. As the Son of God with no earthly father and no stain of sin. He went out to pray. Pray. Where can you go? England is getting dominated by Islam. What church has all night prayer? I'm sure there's some. They're probably Nigerian churches or South Korean churches. But I doubt there'd be any white English churches that do half night prayer. All night prayer. This is not prayer. Lord, as we open the service, be with us today. Lord, as we close. Bless us as we go our separate ways. Lord, as we receive the offering, multiply it to the unintended use. Bless the gift of the giver and those that have not to give in thy name. That's head prayer. Pray always in the power of the Holy Spirit. I would make a request tonight that if you have never been baptized in the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues, I would turn my faith on right now. That tonight in this atmosphere, I'm going to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and Pray in other tongues because you can't pray in English for more than 90 seconds or whatever your language is. You know, you're Lord, bless Grandma and my Aunt Linda and help me today and help me draft. You do not know what you should pray for, nor how you should pray. But when you get filled with the Holy Ghost, the Bible says in Acts, chapter four, they prayed until the building was shaken. I want to tell you, when you pray, it's more than just talking to God. You kind of step in to the realm of heaven. The Bible says Jesus prayed and his form and countenance was changed and his. His face became glowing white. And the disciples that couldn't heal that boy that had seizures and was deaf in his ears, Jesus came right down. Before he could even speak. The devil manifested because it couldn't take the coating that was on Christ from crossing through that veil and spending time with God. I want to tell you something. There's a reason the devil doesn't like praying in tongues. There's a reason. There's a kind of service. You know what I've done? I've paid attention. What do they mock? What does the world mock? What part of Christianity are they okay with? You know, if you want to meet, that's fine. If you want to read verses, that's fine. But what do they make fun of? If you pray in tongues, if you lay hands on the sick, if you cast out devils, then they get mad. So what? I made up my mind. Anything that makes the devil mad, we're not going to do it less, going to do it more. And this end time, church is going to be a holy ghost. Praying in tongues at all times till the building shakes, till the fire falls. Pray and pray and pray and pray. Go ahead, take 30 seconds and clap your hands and give God a mighty shout. Pray always in the power. Pray. Pray. It sounds like this. Comes from your spirit. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Number four. Second Timothy 2:19 to 22. Second Timothy 2:19 22. But God's truth stands firm like a foundation stone. So number three is prayer. A passion for prayer? Not well, I didn't pray today. Oh God. First of all, if you're calling him God, check yourself. Say a word with me. Father, He's God to people that are about to get hit by a truck, oh God. But to you, through Jesus Christ, he's Father. Father, in the name of Jesus, can you say Amen? Father, in the name of Jesus? The Bible says, ask what you will ask for. Rain in the time of rain. God's Truth stands a passion for prayer. Then here's number four. But God's truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription. The Lord knows those who are his. And all who belong to the Lord must turn. This is not written to citizens of that city. It's written to the church. All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil. In a wealthy home, some utensils are made of gold and silver and some are made of wood and clay. So now you know, modern, like our time. When your friends come over after high school, your parents don't leave out even the good, the mid range silverware, let alone if you have one of anybody besides me, have one of those things in your house, like a cabinet. And it had plates and forks that have never been used. You know, it's like, I don't know how special of an occasion we're saving these for, but it's been there for 25 years. In fact, if I don't know if my mom's watching or not, if I go to her house and visit again, I'm to take all those plates out and put a baloney sandwich on it and just use it. So you got. No, when your friends come over, they, they, they lay out the Dixie plastic forks and spoons. And then when there's a Thanksgiving, there's special. Well, Paul said, in a wealthy home, some utensils are made of gold and silver and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions. The cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean and you will be ready for the master to use you for every good work. What in particular? Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. So notice, keep that scripture. There's things that stimulate youthful lust. You go into a club, there's a kind of music they play to get you thinking about sex. I told my daughter, you know, I never went to any dances growing up. Christian school, secular school. My sister is pretty. She got homecoming queen and someone had to receive the award for her because she wasn't. We don't. We didn't go to dances. So Camila wanted to go to the dance at her school. And she said, hey, Pa, can I go to the dance? Our school, she goes to a Christian school. I said, what did your mom say? She said, she said to ask you. I said, no. And she got sad. I said, there's things you don't understand now, but you'll understand as you get older that because the hand of God's on you for ministry. There's things that are permissible to do that we still don't do. And I said, you know, what's a dance either A, you're going to be listening to secular music up on some guy, which it could be problematic, you know, if you're a parent and you think dances are the 1950s where people are twirling each other. They're not, they're precursors to sex. And then I said, second, the only other way would be they're going to be playing like Forest Frank and you're going to be dancing up on some guy. And that's even weirder in a way to be like up on someone to Christian music. Was that Cece Winans? So I said, you know, we just, that's not our scene because we run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Anything you talk about stirs up that desire for that thing. That's why coming here night after night you've been hearing faith filled words out of the Bible and it's been stirring up a desire in you to please God and live for God. Then all the songs are the same at a club or whatever they play. It's all about sex. And girl, I'm going to get you all alone and take off all your clothes. You can't be in that kind of atmosphere and it not have an effect on you. So where people miss it. And you can see this with David and Bathsheba and, and you can see it with Achan. Four Stages to Sin Achan took stuff he wasn't supposed to take and this is what he said I saw. Everybody say I saw. It starts with what you look at. The older I get, the more of an anointing I feel on the dumb little things I learned in kindergarten and Christian school. Be careful little eyes, what you see, be careful little feet. Where you go, just keep a guard on what you're looking at and what you're listening to and where you're going and it'll keep you straight. But most people don't deal with it. Then what you look at fosters a passion for that thing. That's why they put Mariners games on TV for free and cracking games for free and Seahawks games for free. If you look at it long enough, you're going to start making plans to spend three paychecks on a seat and get to that game and get a $21 hot dog and a $14 Pepsi and go there. Because what you look at determines what you want. What? What you don't want, want. Don't watch what you don't want in your life. Refuse to watch. I saw, then I coveted, then I took, then I hid. So most people don't deal with it till stage three, after they're taken, after they're drinking, after they're having sex. I fell into sin. No, you didn't. First you looked, then that look cultivated a passion, then you acted on that passion. That was Achan. Same with David. David saw Bathsheba. He wanted her. He took her and had an affair with her. Then he had the husband killed to cover up the sin. And it is amazing how good people are getting at covering up their sin. They make phones with a feature just for adulterers that you can have a locked section of contacts so your wife doesn't see who's to going, calling or who's text messaging. I want to say something that I probably wouldn't have said six months ago, but after watching all these ministries fall tonight, if you have a secret life and you've learned to hide it from your pastor or your wife or your congregants or other friends, you can't hide it from God. Get rid of sin or sin will get rid of you. Be a pure vessel fit for the master's gift use and God will use you to do great things. Come on. If you commit to that, take 30 seconds and let God hear your hand clap. And I probably said enough, but I'm going to say more. Beware of people that have a soft place for sin. Now think of this. This sounds like the most like inane. I don't even know if that's a word inane example. But my dad didn't let me go to the movie theater growing up at all. In fact, if you were an Assemblies of God minister, you had to sign a form that you want to go to the. When my grandfather was an Assemblies of God minister, you had to sign a form that you wanted golf because gambling went on on the golf course. See, that's legalistic. Let me ask you a question. Do you feel like things were better when things were legalistic or do you think it's better now that it's a freaking free for all? There's whole denominations that don't exist anymore because of alcohol and loose. You know, there's one group and I like the people. But if you went and preached at the conference, they had a clock counting down from 35 minutes when you preach. And then they'd all go to the hotel, to the open bar in the lobby and all the pastors, everybody drink. We're into Graceboro. Come on, it's no big deal. And you know, I said to one guy, you'd have done better if you had no clock for the preaching and a 35 minute clock up at the bar. Interesting how service had to be done in 90 minutes, but you'd go stay at the bar for three and a half hours. But God is raising up a new church that's holy and spotless and does not have a light place for sin. It spends time in his presence. Go ahead and clap and shout a little bit. So check this out. I know this sounds like an extreme example, but I. I did my first internship. I won't say where, but it was in upstate New York coming out of Bible school, and the pastor invited me to go see a movie. I said, no, I don't go to the movies. And he just starts making fun of me. Oh, come on, bro. You're going to love when you get to the book of Galatians and read about grace. You should go now. The Bible literally says, if someone thinks something's a sin, even if it's not a sin, don't encourage them to do it because you're teaching them to violate their conscience. So then that guy. Oh, you know, making fun of me because I won't go to the movies, you know, you think, all right, good, then don't go. I wasn't telling him not to go. I was just saying, you know, I wasn't even telling him I don't believe in going. He said, let's go to the movies. I told him no twice. Why not? I said, because, you know, I don't go. Oh, then they get mad. People do that, that drink, you know, I've never given anybody a hard time for drinking alcohol, even pastors and stuff. But if you don't drink, they give you a hard time. Okay, you're not, you're not. You want a beer or something? No, I'm good. Oh, come on. What, you don't drink? No. Why not? I haven't really seen it. Help too many people. I know people that drink. Homer Simpson, Peter Griffin. Their lives are a wreck. So I'm going more the Ned Flanders route. Oh, come on. You should drink. You know, one time I was 23. Back when I was 23, I weighed 138 pounds. I'm like 193 now. So I'm sitting and eating at an Italian Pentecostal pastors. I was preaching at his church. I preached Sunday morning and then we were going to have a six o' clock service Sunday night. So we finish eating and he pours a shot of Sambuca and then says, pours one for me and goes, have someone helps with digestion. I said, I'm good. You know, I've never had alcohol. I'm not starting now. But I just said, I just said, no, I'm good. I'm full. Oh, come on. See, they feel convicted. They want you to drink too. Just like when you're in a gang, you have to shoot someone so they know you won't rat out. It's literally no different in the ministry world. Everything they do, they want you to do so then they know you're not going to rat on them. So I said, no, I'm good. You know, I'm not going to drink. Oh, come on. They, you should have some, it's fine. So I literally said this to him. This guy's 62. This will show you. Wisdom doesn't come with age, it comes from the Bible. That's why Jesus could sit at 12 years old and lecture adults. Wisdom does not come with age. If, if it did, every time I pass somebody that's in their 60s carrying a 36 pack of beer and they're coming into the hotel and I'm leaving the hotel to go to church, it would be the opposite. I'd have the beer at, in my 30s and they'd be going to church in their 60s. If wisdom came with age, everybody over the age of 50 would be a born again Christian. But they're not. Say, with me, wisdom comes from the word of God. So then I literally said to the guy, I said, listen, brother, so and so. I'm 138lbs, I've never had alcohol. I preach in your church in an hour and 20 minutes. Do you think now would be a good time to start doing shots? Yeah, you have a point there. Yes, I do have a point. Why are you trying to push me to drink? Be careful about being around people that push you to sin. There's a guy in the Bible that had an unclean desire. He wanted to sleep with his stepsister in, in the Old Testament. And then he had a friend and, and instead of his friend saying, hey, listen, that's an insane idea, don't do it. His friend said, listen, I'll tell you what to do. Pretend to be sick. Ask your father to have her bring you your breakfast, and when she's in the room, lock the door, and then you can have your way with her. And he raped Her. And it caused a bunch of problems in the family. You know why? Because he had a bad desire but didn't have the guts to act on it. But his friend pushed him in that direction. I want you to ask yourself right now, who have you surrounded yourself with? Are your friends pulling you towards God or your friends pulling you away from God? I would surround myself with Holy Ghost filled people that when you're weak, they don't push you to hell. When you're weak, they pray for you and pick you up and pull you across the line. I'm gonna be that person for you tonight. I'm gonna lay my hands on you and strengthen you by the Holy Ghost. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust, man. You know, David was a man after God's own heart. And he went nuts. Who's this chick? She's married. I don't care. Bring her to me. I'll sleep with her then. Oh, she's pregnant. I'll tell her husband to come in from war so that he'll go sleep with her. And then he'll think it's his kid. No, he won't sleep with her. He said he's not going to leave his men. Then put them on the front lines and have him killed. And then he's done. He doesn't even feel bad about it. And then Nathan the Prophet comes to him and says, hey, King David, there's a man in this kingdom who has a sheep. And he loves that sheep. It's like a pet to him. He loved it like a kid. And somebody came and took that sheep from him and killed him. And David said, that man will die today. And Nathan the Prophet said, you are that man. See, people judge everybody. But if you'll turn the magnifying glass, I'm going to tell you I'm not making myself the bright shining example of Christianity. But I do not spend much time. As loose as I see and as much fun as I have on. Check the news at other people's expense. I keep a tight watch on me. Where's Abraham? Stand up so people can see over there. Abraham's with me on the road. My time's accounted for. No one can accuse me of anything because I have a witness with me everywhere I go. So if somebody accused me, I want to be. No, there's more to the story. I would sue that woman. I would sue the lumberjack that could cut down the tree that they wrote the paper on against me because I'm not spending time now. It's sad that you have to say this, but let me say it now that I'm. I'm this deep into it. Don't get manipulated by somebody that's unclean. No pastor has to personally disciple you at their house. And if you're a pastor, she's like a daughter to me. Quit having people that are like a daughter to you. Do your preaching from the pulpit. Go home with your wife and kids and quit being weird. Can you say amen? Stop abusing spiritual authority. God is raising up tonight a revival of holiness in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lust. Instead, pursue righteous liveth. Everybody say run from, run to. So get away from things that foster carnal desires and then pursue. What have you been doing this week? Where are you tonight? It's not a mystery. What, were you all drugged? I don't know. I just woke up. Someone hit me over the head. Are you tied to your chair? Where are you tonight? Church. Because whether you know it or not, in Washington state, the second least church place in the United States, clearly something's already happened on the inside of you that you said, I don't give two poo's what the culture's doing. I'm gonna run from sin and run to things that pursue righteous living. Choose who you hang out with. Don't end up hanging out with people. Choose who you hang out with. Me and Russell hang out. He. He inspires me to have more churches. He inspires me to preach more. He inspires me to think about the Bible. Never heard him one time say, that chick's hot. Ever. He talks Bible, he talks church, he talks doctrine. When I'm around him, I feel like I'm not doing enough for God. I want to challenge every person tonight. As God fills you with the fire, run with other people that are on fire and fulfill your destiny. Hallelujah. Pursue righteous living. Pursue faithfulness. Pursue love. Pursue peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Can you say amen? There's a guy, you know, out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Watch yourself. There's a guy a couple years ago, he's in the ministry. I liked him a lot. He fell. He's gone. Fell into sin. Out. We were standing on a platform. Praise and worship. I'm getting ready to preach. And he goes, who's that lady in the front row? I said, I don't know. He said, is she married? I said, I don't know. He went, man, I don't think she's married. She's so beautiful. I wonder why no one's married her. Are you okay? You know when you're thinking about whether chicks are married or not and you're married and we're singing worship songs, you have a problem. Yeah. Hope that helps somebody enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. Number four, a passion for purity. Specifically sexual purity. The Bible says in First Corinthians, chapter 6, no other sin so clearly affects the body as sexual sin. You know, God says it's just. It's just physical contact. Oh, yeah. My wife is much less upset if I slap someone than if I have sex with someone besides her. It's not such. It's not just physical contact. It's a spiritual thing, and it carries. Great break now, if you. Now what? One reason people don't preach on this is because they're afraid to make people sad that have made mistakes. If you've made a mistake, God will forgive you. But I'm not gonna not preach on holiness so that people don't feel bad. We should all keep an account of our life that from this day forward, I'm done screwing up. I'm gonna serve God and walk a straight path from now till the coming of the Lord. Lord, if you believe it, go ahead, take 30 seconds as a testimony. Clap your hands, give God a mighty shout. Number 5. Second Corinthians 9, 7. Every man, according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give, not grudgingly, not of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver. Acts 20:35. I have shown you all things how that so laboring ye ought to support the weak. Let me see how it says in the NLT. 2035. NLT and I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of our Lord Jesus. This is Paul's like, parting words to whole group of people. It's more blessed to give than to receive. Number five. Everybody say a passion for giving. I'm talking about giving money, right? Whether we give our time, our talent, or our treasure. Your treasure is your time and talent. It took the best of your time and the best of your talent. The thing that you're the best at. You spent a lot of time that week. That's why money is valuable, you know, in the natural. It's just like whatever it is, linen or whatever they make it out of, whatever the mix of fabric, fabrics are. That's all it is with ink on it. But the reason it's hard to let it go is if you make a thousand dollars a week after taxes, and you put $1,000 in the offering, you just put, what, 52 hours of your life in the offering. It took my best, my time away from my family and stuff. And I'm giving this to the Lord. And the Bible says there's something very spiritual about money. Where a man's treasure is there, his heart will be also. So not only is there a reward for giving and a passion for giving, when you serve the Lord in doing it, you tie yourself in. When you give to God's work, you tie your heart in with the kingdom. I know where Jesse Duplantis is this week. I know where dad Gatewood Mills is this week. I give 20,000amonth to Dag Heywood Mills. I don't forget about it. My money is tied with those crusades. I can't be there, but I want to help with the greatest evangelistic effort I've ever done. All the people that complain about Kenneth Copeland and his jets and homes, remember when we watched that Reinhardt Bonnke video Yesterday? He gave $63 million to fund those crusades. So you shouldn't be shocked that God's blessed them. When you give, you receive. Your gift comes back back to you, pressed down, shaken together, running over to make room for more. I don't know whether he wants me to say it or not, but Pastor Russell's got. Got four churches going right now, two major building projects, and he walked 150. What did you give me? $150,000 check two days ago and said, this is for your ministry. That's a man who's on fire for God. When you get full of the Holy Ghost, you're not trying to save, and I can't give him that. You have a heart to give and give and give. And then as you give, your gift comes back to you pressed down, shaken together, and running over. There's nobody that leaves a church and keeps giving other than my great grandfather. But he never was in church in the first place. He just tithed. He's a weird guy. He tithed every week and never went to church. I've never heard of that in my life. But you can ask any pastor if somebody leaves a church if you go check their giving records. Pastor Greg, how many months before do they, like, quit giving? 3 to 6 months. They check out with their heart and where your treasure is, there your heart is. So their heart checks out, Their giving checks out. Then they check out tithing and offerings with all the Great benefits there are that God opens the windows of heaven and pours out a blessing that's so great you don't have enough room to receive it. See? See, Pastor Russell's a giver like that, and he's in. There's not enough room. When the city's coming in week three of you having a church to tell you you have too many people on a Thursday night in Washington, you have entered into the not enough room to receive anointing. Can you say amen? But above all that, it would say above all that it ties your heart. If people check out what they're giving when they leave church, then giving forces your heart into God's thing. It's a very spiritual thing. And I want to say something here, and you're supposed to say nice stuff at the beginning to get the crowd on your side. But I'm saying it here at the end. The most generous people. I was thinking about this when I was getting ready that I've ever had connect with us in the ministry are in Washington state. Pastor Greg gave 100,000 from the church. Churches don't give anything. Churches. Churches charge for pizza parties. They don't give $100,000. Casinos don't give $100,000 dot. Pastor Greg gave me 100,000. Pastor Russell gave me 150 and gave me 100 before. And I think Pastor Greg did it twice. There's a guy in this building that's a pastor that sold the house, signed the house over the church. And it closes at the end of the month, just before we move into our new church. That'll be just like the book of Acts. 380,000 in the account. Washington, somehow, I would say even outpacing Texas has committed givers in this state. And I believe those seeds have gone up as an offering to God. And God is visiting Spokane. God is visiting Seattle. The devil will not write the last chapter of Washington State. The people that are going to turn the tide are here right now. And you're going to do it not by might, not by power, but by the spirit of Almighty God. A passion to give. Number six. Anybody getting anything out of this? Psalm 84. 2. My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth, for the courts of the Lord. My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth, for the courts of the Lord. Not just to serve God, not just to be in his presence. My heart longs. I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of God's temple with my whole Being body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God. Psalm 27:4. This is my sister's life verse. She wrote a song. These are all the lyrics to it. One thing I have desired of the Lord, that I will seek after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. Number six. A Passion for Church. Can you get that video of Camila cleaning in church? This made my year. My wife, of course, I married a Puerto Rican lady, so they're kind of big on cleaning. And she told my daughter, that's 13, she was going to serve. My daughter just turned 13, she was going to serve in children's church. And on the drive in, she said, don't go. Just hang out in children's church because you're a teenager. And so it's just a way to get out of service. She said, if you're going to go up there. Adoles said, lazy people. Let me find it. Let me find the post. Because all I did was copy and paste what Adulles sister told me that Adulles told her on the way in. See, we kind of wanted to be the opposite. Pastor's kids. There's a way to raise your kids. Obviously, Russell was raised like that. Our dads are preachers, but we're not like sitting in the back with a nose ring. Yeah, he's one of those faith preachers. You'll see if anybody gets healed or not. No, we're in it. Our parents transferred A Passion for God's House and now Russell's building them all over the place. This is Adalus. I told her before service, your time at Mighty Kids is a reflection of the love you have for God. It's a form of worship to him. So work hard. Then I talked about how losers don't work hard. So Adalys older sister, Tasha was filming her without knowing it, so nobody told her to do it. When Adalys said, if you're going to go up there to do kids ministry work, make the church like it's your thing. And so Tasha went and found her and this was her. Fabuloso. Let me say that one more time, just because I miss her. Yeah, you know, it's amazing. Like, Jeff's here doing security. He started working in church before he was saved. He moved down and went to our churches because he was sick of the vaccine mandate stuff and our church was open. He had the meanest face of anyone I've Ever seen his face could kill people. And then I've noticed since then it's like he can still kill people. But he does it with a smile now, like a Christian soft countenance as he beats them into the ground. When you start making God's thing your thing and serve in God's house, no one should ever have to invite you as a Christ Christian to go to church. The last time a pastor ever called you and said, we haven't seen you in three weeks. Yeah, I've been sad. Quit being sad. It's a wonder we have any people to go to our church because I have the shortest counseling sessions in the history of church. I've been battling sadness. Well, quit. Our marriage isn't going good. Start making it go better. Stop making excuses and start making up your mind. Done struggling. I'm going to live an overcomer's life in Jesus name. When did you get saved, Chuck? What year did you get saved? What year did you get saved? 2012. Then started serving at the church in Fort Worth. He's all in now. He disciples people without knowing he's discipling people. Because when tough guys come to the church in Texas, we put them on security. We have a policy. If you like people, be a greeter. If you don't like people, do security. And so they get, they, they get around Chuck. And Chuck, they realize, oh, I don't have to be a, a castrated, estrogen soaked passive loser to serve God. I, I, I, I can be a man. And they get around him and he shows them how to serve God. There should be a hundred percent of the people that are here that contact their pastor after tonight and say, tell me where you want me to serve. This church is my church. I'm not going to be faithful to attend. I'm going to serve in the house of God. And what you make happen in God's house, God makes happen in your house. A passion for God's house. And number seven. And I close with this. Did you get something out of tonight? Number seven, Acts 20:24. This is a powerful scripture, but none of these things move me. Neither count I. My life is dear to myself so that I might finish my course with joy. There's that word again. In the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus to testify the gospel of grace, of the grace of God. Nlt. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. If you make that your scripture as a, as a preacher, you can't retire, my life is worth nothing to me. You gotta. You should be careful. I heard you go to Nigeria. You need to be careful. No, actually, my life's worth nothing to me unless I go to Nigeria, my life exists. Otherwise, I. I'll just go to heaven. You know, where's a better place to retire than Palm Beach? Heaven. So if I'm not going to do work here, I'm going home. My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned to me by the Lord Jesus. I want every hand lifted across this place tonight as a gift from God. Every person is going to know. Let me see the scripture. Every person is going to know their assignment from the Lord Jesus. Me and Russell don't fight. He's assigned to the Pacific Northwest. If his churches grow to 350,000, doesn't affect me in Pittsburgh, his assignments here. If he has me come up here, I'm going to help him in his assignment. Grow the Bible school, grow the church. I'm going to pour my life out to help his thing here. I'm not in competition with him. Pastor Greg and I have a great relationship, saying, I want to see people flourish. The country has 340 million people in it. You can't fit 340 million in one church. We need many great pastors. We need many great evangelists. We need many great youth pastors that won't just sit around and hope more kids show up, that'll go into the high schools and have crusades and call people to Christ. And tonight is a night where not only are you going to make heaven, you're going to get full of God's fire to do the work that's been assigned to you by the Lord Jesus. The work of telling others the good news about the wonderful grace of God. The work of telling others the good news about the wonderful grace of God. Look up at me real quick. Say this with me. It's difficult to fall away from something you're pushing. If you're pushing Christ to other people, it's hard to fall away from something you're pushing. So when you're actively looking to reach people for Christ, it's very difficult to backslide. This is going to sound like a fake story, but it's a true story. I was not, like, running around telling everybody about Jesus at my high school. But junior year, I can't remember who I heard preach, but it just kind of dawned on me. I'm going to graduate this year, and I've not led. Can you get the Penn State crusade. That will be a good one to close with. I haven't led anybody to Jesus Christ at my school in three years. I got one year left. So my dad was going to preach at my home church. He wasn't the pastor. And I invited eight of my closest friends. And God help me, my eight friends didn't want to come to church by themselves because they had never been. So they invited friends who then invited friends to come with them. And I ended up our high school. I lived in Bangor, Maine. Our high school only had 400 people in it, and we had 66 people from the high school come that Sunday to come hear my dad preach. And so when my dad gave the invitation to get saved, 65 of them came forward and got saved. My one friend, Dave, didn't get saved. But I mean, people I didn't invite, the whole, think of this at a church of 300 and some. There were 60, some high school kids crying at the altar, receiving Jesus Christ. These kids were agnostic. It was the number one academic school in Maine. So they were like, I don't need God. Their parents were rich. It was a private school. You know, it was amazing. And so it was really amazing. Monday, the captain of the football team that got saved on Sunday, he came to me at study hall on Monday like, mad as a hornet because I want to talk to you. I said, what? Why did you tell your dad everything about my life? I said, I didn't tell my dad anything. He went, yeah. He mentioned sleeping with your girlfriend, drinking beer. Like, are you. You think you're the only person in America that does those things? He said, I can't believe you told him everything. I said. I said, jack, my dad got home Saturday night from whatever city he was preaching in. I never had a chance to talk to him at all. Then how do you know all those things? It felt like he was talking just to me. I told him about the Holy Spirit and conviction, and he cried and hugged me and said he was sorry. Later in that year, they were throwing a big pot party, you know, party, party. And this guy, I was a junior still, this guy comes up to me to invite me to the party. He goes, hey, Jonathan, you're really funny. We'd love to have you at this party that we're throwing. Midway through inviting me, he goes, oh, you're a. You're a Christian. Your dad's the one everybody went to go hear, right? I said, yeah, never mind, don't come. It. It would be bad. It'll, like, ruin your life. Don't go. And I got. I didn't even have a chance to respond to the temptation. The devil rescinded the. The temptation mid temptation. Literally. I just stood there. Hey, you should come to the party. It's going to be great. Your dad's a preacher, right? Yeah. Don't come. You know you're uninvited. We don't want you here. I pray that that grace would come on every child that's here, every teenager, every college student, every mother, every father, that people won't even invite you because they'll know you as a Jesus man, a Jesus woman. Everywhere you go, you'll take Jesus with you. Stand on your feet, everybody. As you do, give God an even bigger hand clap tonight in Spokane, Washington. Come on, give the Lord the biggest hand clap that you've ever given anybody. Give Jesus a big, big hand clap in this place. Every head bowed, every eye closed. No, you know what? Look back up. This was powerful. I want to put this in your spirit while you're on your feet. So the same thing happened at a revival we had in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania. This college student realized he hadn't led one person to Christ at Penn State, organized an open field crusade at Penn State University and asked me to preach it for seven minutes. Those kids wanted nothing to do with it. And then they broke down. You'll watch. This is what God's gonna. Everybody say, a passion number seven is a passion to win people to Christ and to release God's power into their life. To pray for people. When somebody tells you they're battling depression, you'll go, yeah, me too. You say, give me your hands and let me pray. I'm gonna pray now. Think of this. I want you to remember this. Someone told me this 25 years ago, and it changed my life. Anytime somebody opens up to you about a problem, that's the Holy Spirit, like fishing it out of them. And when they open up to you pray, you'll never. You'll. I mean, I don't think you'll ever have anybody if you say, well, let me pray about that. So, no, I don't want prayer. And even if they did say, well, you. You opened up to me, then leave me alone then. But if they volunteer the information, there's something about your life pulling the confession out. This is going to be you. This is me, when I didn't even have a clue what I was doing. Watch this at Penn State University. Bump it ahead 10 seconds. I still get nervous watching this because it looks like it's not Going to work out. I have the pleasure to introduce you guys. A great mentor to me. He's gonna give you guys, speak to you guys a little bit. A quick message, right quick. Put your hands together for Jonathan Shadowsworth because they think I'm a dj. Thank you so much. I think that's the happiest anybody's ever been to see me. So thank you. Thank you. I appreciate you sticking around up until now. This is going to be the best part of your night. And if you listen, it's going to be something that'll impact your life for the rest of your life. Amen. How many? You are freshmen just starting out right now. What an awesome time. Time to allow God to do something in your life tonight that will make sure that everything works out the way. God, what an outfit to wear at a rave. I'm dressed like a picnic table. Keep going. And I want to see that happen. You know, this is a little bit of a different party. Penn State. We are Penn. Most places that you go to party, you wake up in the morning and wonder what you did. The only difference on this one is we want you to lay your head to the pillow at night tonight and know that you have peace with God and that your sins are forgiven. This isn't about religious fanaticism. Jesus didn't die for religious fanatics. John 3:16 says, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him will not perish, but will have everlasting life. Jesus said in Matthew 7 broad is the way. As if it wasn't hard enough, they brought a church lady that's playing like the closing credits. Music to Friday the 13th as I give the altar call Just to compound it just to up the difficulty to expert keep going that leads to destruction but straight is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to everlasting life. We know the easy thing to do is stay with song is this or mock or say that's a bunch of foolishness. But it takes courage and conviction to not bank your life and bank your eternal soul against the word of God. That's always proved true. But to say I'm gonna make up my mind. You can't speak for the whole group. You can only speak for you. You can make up your mind tonight and speak say as for me in my life, I'm not going to go to hell. I'm going to make Jesus Christ my lord and savior. You say, jonathan, that's me. I don't know that I'm saved. Or I know that I'm not saved, but tonight I want to give my life to the now. Everybody was like against me and then the word calmed them all down. It's amazing to see them. They're like vacation Bible school students now. Go ahead. Lord Jesus Christ, if that's you, I want you to put your hand up high and wave it at me right now. And we're gonna pray. God bless you. Keep it up in the air. God bless you. Look all over this place. Wonderful. Praise the Lord God. Hallelujah. We'll go ahead and clap as they lift their hands. Please play the savage. I start preaching in Ohio in the morning, so I have to leave right after this. But this I'm gonna drive back with a big smile on my face face because I know God's going to do a great work right now. This is what I want only because this isn't my way of doing things. This is God's way of doing things. He said, if you confess me before men, so August 30, 2014, for the rest of your life will be the day where when you lay your head to the pillow, you can say, I know I'm saved. Because on the intramural field I came out of a crowd and la, like Jesus said, I confessed him publicly. I want every person that lifted a hand that meant business with God. I want you to come around this barrier and meet me right in front of the speakers and we're going to pray together. I won't hold you long. I'm not going to do anything strange, but I want watch this girl in the pink with her boyfriend. Need to get you a girlfriend like this. Watch. Keep going. I want you to come out of the crowd and join me right here in Jesus name. Go ahead. Clap for them as they come. That's a good woman right there. The hands that clap for souls will never be empty. Come right around the barrier and meet me right here. Welcome. They don't even know what to do when they face the crowd. Like we're gonna stone them. God bless every one of you. I'm so proud of you. I'm so happy for you. This is not a game. This is real. This is not some religion thing. This is when God reaches down from heaven and changes your heart. I only do this not so this turns into some religious recital. Some people have never prayed. So I'm going to give you the words to say and I want you to say them from the bottom of your heart. Come on, say it out loud. Dear Heavenly Father, I've come forward tonight to show you that I'm. I mean business with you. You. I'm sorry for my sins. Please forgive me. Have mercy on me. I need your help. I'm not like everybody else. So I don't want to live like everybody else. I want to live for you. I want to fulfill the destiny you have for me. In Jesus name. Now say this. I believe in my heart. You raised Jesus from the dead. I confess with my mouth. Jesus is Lord and my Savior. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Make me like you. Give me a new heart. Cleanse my mind. Make me new. In Jesus name. I am saved. I am a Christian. God is my Father. Heaven is my home. And I'll live forever. And I will not turn back. In Jesus name. Amen. And Amen. One more time, give a great hand clap to Jesus Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of Lords. That's what you're going to do. You're going to fulfill the assignment that God has on your life. The work of telling other people. One more. This one's only like 30 seconds. This is a whole town getting saved. Dag Haywood Mills in Angola. No. So he gave the invitation for people to receive Christ. Everyone raised their hand. So he told the interpreter, no, you're not interpreting it right. Tell him this is not for people that want prayer. This is for people that need to receive Jesus. He said. I interpreted that. He said, no one's ever done this before. No one's ever come to this town. Cabinde Angola. Take a look. Take a look. Question mark. My name is. Please write this name in the book of life. I thank you for writing my name in the book of life. Believe. Say, I love you, jesus. Trust you. I trust you. I trust you in the name of Jesus. Sadly, you don't have to go to Africa to do that. There's people that are on their way to hell that have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Pacific Northwest. But not for long. I said not for long. Very soon this place is going to be an annoying place to be if you don't want to hear about Jesus. Because you won't be able to go two blocks without somebody telling you. Excuse me. Has any ever told you that Jesus loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life that'll rescue to sin? You're going to change the tithe in this place in Jesus name if you know that's true tonight. One more time, give the Lord Almighty hand clap and shout hallelujah. Somebody shout hallelujah. Hallelujah. Every hand lifted, every head bow. P man, I feel this cooking in here. Every person that's been lulled into lukewarmness, your fire has gone out. Your fire that used to burn bright is low. You don't look forward to going to church and you're the pastor. You don't look forward to youth night and you're the youth pastor. The fire has gone low. The oil has all but run out. Tonight I'm calling to you on behalf of Jesus. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If you'll hear my voice and open the door, I will come in. He's calling to you. He's calling you to get rid of sin, get rid of indifference, get rid of lukewarmness. In the name of Jesus, let me pray for you. I curse indifference. I curse lukewarmness. I curse everything that tries to snuff the fire of God out. In Jesus name, I lose the fire of the Holy Ghost that the you'll burn bright for God. If you've grown dim, you'll take another jump up off the mat and finish your race strong. Not only are you going to make heaven, you're going to run across the the finish line and receive the prize. Not run to finish, but run to win. In Jesus name. If you've been running a secret life online or whatever, today you get rid of sin instead of sin getting rid of you. In Jesus name. In Jesus name. If you're filled with the spirit, begin to pray in the spirit, even right now. Tonight is a holy night. Tonight is a holy night. God's calling to people tonight. Finish strong. I'm not going to be one of the five that lost their oil and the fire went out. I'm getting extra oil, extra fire. In Jesus name. In Jesus name. You sound good. Keep praying. Pray always in the Holy Ghost building up here. The fire must never go out. We go to war in the spirit tonight against anything that will try to steal our fire. In Jesus name. Every head bowed, every eye closed. You can put your hands down. I'm not going to ask you the specifics and I'm not going to embarrass anybody. But if you're here tonight and you say, Jonathan, whether anybody else comes forward or not tonight, I recognize that I've allowed myself to to lose Book of Acts Christianity and settle for Western American Christianity. Instead of asking, how close can I get to the heart of God and stay on this planet, I've been asking how. What can I do and still go to heaven? Is this a sin? How much of this can I do and still make heaven. I've allowed people to lie to me and tell me that things that God condemns are okay and God understands. But tonight the Holy Spirit's woken me up and I make a decision. I'm not going to hell. I'm not coddling sin. I'm not living a lukewarm life. Tonight I choose the fire. And the fire will never go out. I'm gonna be an example to my family, an example to my church. I'm gonna live for God in a world that celebrates wickedness. I'm going to live a righteous, holy, sexually pure, morally pure life in Jesus name. If you say Jonathan. I've never received Jesus Christ like those university students. I've never heard this before, but tonight I want to receive Christ. Or second. I once made a genuine commitment to Jesus Christ, but I've allowed the busyness of life, the cares of this world, work schedule, to take God's place in my life. But tonight I'm coming back. Never to leave again. Tonight I repent. I get rid of lukewarm living. I. I go to war personally with anything that would try to take God's place in my life. God's not going to be something on my to do list every week. He's my God. He's my everything. I serve him with all my heart. If you've never done that, or you once did and you fell away, and you say tonight, Jonathan, when you pray, I want you to pray with and for me. I want you to put your hand up high and wave it at me like they did in Angola. I want the fire. I want to finish strong. I want to finish well. I'm done with lukewarm living. I'm done convincing myself that it's okay. You'll fall into sin. I'm gonna live holy under the coming of the Lord. Who else? Keep your hands up. Tonight is my night. I'm not gonna finish like Samson. I'm gonna finish like Elijah. I'm gonna finish like Samuel. I'm gonna finish like Paul. Very quickly. Everyone that lifted a hand, if you want to come up as a couple or as friends, you're more than welcome. But everyone that lifted a hand, come out of the crowd and join me at the front as they play. We're gonna pr. Pray every hand that was lifted. Come, come. Keep coming. Keep coming. Tonight's your night. Tonight's your night. Tonight's your night. No more lukewarm living. Who else before we pray? If God's dealing with your heart, come now. Come now give your life at the altar. Let God take you as his vessel and use you from this day forward. Tell the devil goodbye. You and I are finished. I'm not living how you tell me to live. I'm living a pure and holy and clean life under the coming of the Lord. Awesome. Everyone that came forward, lift your hands to the Lord. I'm going to lead you in a prayer and I want you to pray this prayer after me. There's a real God that hears you say this, and even as you're praying it, He. He does a work on the inside of you. All sin gets cleared out. Right now, all lukewarmness is consumed by God's living fire. In Jesus name, say this out loud. Heavenly Father, I've come forward tonight to give you my life. I turn my back on sin. I repent. I repent of sin. I repent of lukewarmness. I repent of indifference. In Jesus name, I believe in my heart you raised Jesus from the dead. I confess with my mouth. Jesus is Lord and my Savior. Right now I receive forgiveness. By the blood of Jesus, I am saved. I am forgiven. I am clean. In Jesus name, amen. Thank you for sharing the Jonathan Shuttlesworth Podcast. Jonathan Shuttlesworth Podcast | Host: Jonathan Shuttlesworth | Date: May 14, 2026
In this powerful episode, Jonathan Shuttlesworth delivers a passionate and practical message focused on sustaining spiritual fervor and ensuring one’s readiness for Heaven. Using a "7-point checklist," Jonathan emphasizes personal vigilance in faith, spiritual discipline, and active pursuit of holiness, all in the context of a society and church landscape marked by indifference and spiritual decline. Drawing from Scripture, personal anecdotes, and revival history, he calls listeners to examine themselves, reignite their spiritual fire, and engage in a victorious Christian life.
Jonathan systematically unveils a detailed checklist, urging listeners to self-examination based on biblical measures of spiritual health:
On modern grace teaching:
"If you think God's grace covers everything, go stab three people to death tonight, and then as they’re hauling you away, tell them how God’s grace covers everything... Grace is not a covering for sin; grace is a heavenly empowerment to live in victory over sin." — Jonathan, (00:16:45)
On personal responsibility:
"At the end of the day, all I can control is my life… My number one goal is to make heaven myself." — Jonathan, (00:25:02)
On the dangers of indifference:
"The mark of the end time church would not be that they’re cold, but that they’re not hot—lukewarm. And He didn’t say turn from your wicked sin. He said, turn from your indifference." — Jonathan, (01:04:19)
On personal purity:
"Be careful little eyes what you see, be careful little feet where you go… What you look at determines what you want. Don’t watch what you don’t want in your life." — Jonathan, (01:39:33)
On the importance of Christian friends:
"Surround yourself with Holy Ghost-filled people that, when you’re weak, they don’t push you to hell, they pray for you and pick you up." — Jonathan, (01:41:24)
On spiritual joy:
“You’re not supposed to look like you were baptized in pickle juice.” — Jonathan, (01:09:45)
On personal soul-winning:
“It’s difficult to fall away from something you’re pushing. If you’re pushing Christ to other people, it’s hard to fall away from something you’re pushing.” — Jonathan, (02:17:25)
"Tonight, I make a decision: I’m not going to hell. I’m not coddling sin. I’m not living a lukewarm life. Tonight I choose the fire, and the fire will never go out. I’m gonna be an example to my family, an example to my church. I’m gonna live for God in a world that celebrates wickedness. I’m going to live a righteous, holy, sexually pure, morally pure life in Jesus’ name." — Jonathan, (02:30:00)
