Hello friends. Just a quick one today, but I think you're gonna like it. We'll be back soon with another episode. Hey, nothing you hear on the Juice Box Podcast should be considered advice, medical or otherwise. Always consult a physician before making any changes to your healthcare. Has the Juice Box Podcast changed your health? I'm gathering structured feedback on whether listening to the podcast and participating in its online community has affected your physical and mental health positively, negatively, or not at all. I'm not fishing for compliments. I just want honest answers, including critical ones. I just want honest answers. That's what's going to make this data worth collecting for me and for the clinicians and researchers trying to understand community based diabetes education. I will be unveiling the results of the survey while I'm at ADCES in early August. At the same time, the website juiceboxpodcast.com surveyresults will go live. For now, just the survey is live. Today is Saturday, July 25th. Hoping to get a few hundred of you to respond. It honestly should take less than five minutes. It's all very clicky. There's not much to type, although there is spots for responses. What I'm saying to you is if this takes you more than eight or ten minutes, I'd be incredibly surprised. We already have a lot of people who have taken it and I'm looking for more. The more people that respond, the more valuable the data will be. The data's not going to be used for anything. I'm not selling it anywhere. I just want to show it to clinicians and say this is the response we get back from the podcast. So if you want doctors, CDEs, nurse practitioners to know what your experience has been like listening to the podcast, I would love it if you would take time to put your thoughts into the survey. Juiceboxpodcast.com survey works great on your phone or on a browser, tablet, wherever you want to do it. Let me see what else I got for you today. I've been working on something that I've been sharing just kind of briefly here and there. I guess I'll take another second to talk about it here. So it's a jukebox for kids songs that should help them understand their diabetes care a little bit. There's a grouping for really little kids. There's a grouping for tweens. There's even some songs for adults that are fashioned around the sort of mental health conversations that I've had with Erica. We have not. And by we I mean I have not gotten to it yet. There's gonna be bolas for songs. There are gonna be songs that help you get bolus for a certain, you know, item of food. They aren't there yet, but it's a little jukebox. It works really well. You can favorite some of your songs. I think you can download them too. Let me see here. You can add in the favorites. You can, you know, message them to people if you want. It's. It's pretty cool. I don't want, Sorry, don't want to play it here. I'll put one at the end anyway. Juiceboxpodcast.com Jukebox J U K E B O X if you think your children would enjoy it. I hear from people all the time. I don't know how to get my kid to listen to the podcast. They're too young, too much talking. So instead we sort of have, I think, these great little songs that will help them to understand some, some bigger ideas. Very quick little like singable stuff, you know, kind of thing you put on in the car so that like a five year old can bop along to. There's some stuff for tweens and honestly, there's a few songs here for adults that are actually really good. My opinion. Let's see. I could tell you how I made them. It's very AI based. I took the lyrics, basically, I took a management idea or a thought from the podcast, turned it into lyrics. I had AI help me write the lyrics. I made changes to the lyrics. It was sort of a collaboration. I know it sounds strange, but it's true. Then we used another AI to actually sing it, put it to music, and then I sort of acted as like a music producer. So if you don't like it, it's pretty much the way I thought it sounded. Good anyway. I really think it's interesting way to. It's an interesting way to hear information and I'm interested to hear what you think too. What else do we have here? If you guys like it, I can put it up on like Apple Music or Spotify. But I don't want to go to all that trouble if you're not digging it, you know what I mean? So right now it's just on that web page. Also, I guess I should tell you that if you go to the juiceboxpodcast.com webpage and you go to the menu at the top, right, the two lines, there's a link there that says audio app and if you click on that, it is like a web based app you can save on your phone where you can listen to the podcast or use some of the tools from the website and the jukeboxes in there as well, in case you want to try it that way. Speaking of the website, we added some new stuff. The frequently asked questions page has always been powered up, made better. There's the estimators for fat and protein, for bolusing, for basal adjustments, stuff like that. I put up this interesting thing. It's called rule of 10, 30, 60, 90 forecast. And reading your CGM trace you might find interesting, that's in the menu on the site as well. There's all the different guides. If you're a doctor. The clinician share portal is up now. You can share the podcast with people more easily through the website. All of the series are there if you want to listen online, if you prefer to listen online. And oh, Juice Cruise 2027 is for sale. So if you want to come with me in July 2027 we're going out of out of Florida on a Norwegian boat called the Norwegian Escape. There's some pictures there of this year's cruise and itinerary for next year's cruise. Yeah, we're going out of Orlando, Port Canaveral, day at sea, Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, day at sea, Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas and then back to Orlando. It's a five day cruise. It's really. The ship looks awesome. So check it out. What else, what else, what else? If you're listening to this and you're not subscribed or following, it'd be awesome if you could subscribe or follow in Apple podcasts or Spotify or wherever you get your audio from. And if you're a listener who's really again found the podcast valuable, taking that survey would be awesome. I would really, really appreciate it. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about when I say online community, you should check out the private Facebook group called Juice box podcast, type 1 diabetes or I think as of this recording, 86,000 members in there does a brisk business and it's completely free. By brisk business, I mean I think there's about 100 to 100 and we do about 150 posts a day, 8,000 likes, comments and hearts a day. It's really phenomenally supportive place. I think you'll see what you think. All right, I'm going to toss in, I'll tell you what I'll do. I'll put in an adult song, I'll put in a kitty song and I'll put in a tween. So. And I'LL do it by age. I'll go Kitty Tween adult right here for you. Thanks so much for listening. I'll be back very soon with another episode of the Juice Box Podcast. I do want to mention I put out his episode, one of his episodes last Saturday in remembrance, but Kent Schnackenberg has passed away sadly. He was an amazing type 1 diabetes advocate. If you don't know about Kent, go back about a week in your player and listen to an episode with him. He was just a really wonderful guy, and I'm very sad to see that he's passed. I'd like to wish his family well. All right, guys, here comes the music. Let me go from Kent passing away to Kitty Bop Song. What a producer I am, huh?

Sometimes my number's way up high sometimes sometimes it's low I wonder why but numbers never mean I'm bad no need to feel ashamed or sad A number's not naughty A number's not nice It's a clue that tells us what to do A number's not naughty A number's not nice It's a clue that tells us what to do A number is a little clue it whispers what we ought to do Maybe medicine, maybe snack we make our move and we're right on track A number's not naughty, A number's not nice It's a clue that tells us what to do what does the clue say? Let's go find out. Yeah. Juice is a sprinter gone in a flash Pizza's a marathon Hiding in the stash? You think you won at 9 o' clock at night? Then 2am rose in like we weren't done right? Slow food plays a long game so I play it longer the grease isn't cheating it just makes the night stronger. I see the whole board, not just the first two. Slow food plays the long game and I do too And I do do. Burgers, wings, Mac Alfredo. The heavier the plate, the longer the echo. That's not a reason to skip the slice. It's a reason to have a plan. Plans are nice. Slow food plays the long game, so I play it longer. Slow food plays the long game and I do too. Eat the pizza. Seriously, eat the pizza. Just don't let the pizza outsmart you. It's pizza. Slow food plays the long game, so I play it longer. Slow food plays the long game and I do too. There's a blue light by the bed There's a number on the screen There's a baby down the hallway sleeping through a broken dream I keep Honey in the kitchen I keep questions in my chest I keep waking up to wonder if he's breathing if I guessed it and I've been running with my phone out Making notes into the wind Trying to learn the ending before the day begins but the future keeps its distance no matter how I try I can build a thousand storms In a perfectly clear sky Worry is waste of imagination Pain and thunder where the stars still shine I can't be safe tomorrow night I can only love you through this time I can't hold every road I can't see every side I can't say tomorrow night that I can hold you now. I can hold you now. I read about the liver I read about the lows I read until the morning had nowhere else to go I asked the cure to hurry I asked the years to wait I tried to parent 40 birthdays from a Tuesday wide awake but you, you were laughing in the high chair with ban on your face and I almost miss the living Trying to outrun what I can't chase Fear came dressed as wisdom Said follow me, I know but fear can steal the garden Just warning you of snow Glory is a waste of imagination Pain and thunder where the stars still shine I can't save tomorrow night I can only love you through this time I can't hold every road I can't see every sign I can't see tomorrow night But I can hold you now. I can hold you down. If luck could be a calendar I'd mark every hurt and red if luck could be a locked door I'd keep the bad years from your bed Love is not a crystal ball Love is not control Love is sitting in the dark and not letting go so I'll learn the little arrows I'll learn the rise and fall I'll make peace with not knowing and still answer when worry is a waste of imagination Pain and thunder where the stars still shine I can't save tomorrow tonight I can only love you through this time I can't hold every road I can't see every sign I can't save tomorrow night But I can hold you now Worry is a waste of imagination and I am given fear enough the future isn't here yet Tonight is here with us I can't say tomorrow night But I can hold you now. I can hold you now. The sky is still blue Tomorrow can wait Tonight I've got you.
