And, you know, we were recently with them and you know, part of their set, like, at one of their songs, they finish, like, holding hands. It's like this power bitch kind of move. Like, that is not our relationship or our other brothers.

And Oprah had a TV show so I taped her on Oprah and it was right after Tom Cruise dumped her and she was blindsided and it was like he dumped her like a month before the 10 years was up where when it's sometimes that happens so you don't have to pay as much. And she just kept going. You know, Oprah is weird. It was weird. And I was just like weird. I don't really do a good Australian, but weird. I might have it down after today talking to you guys.

Well, you know they say to get there to start speaking with an Australian accent as an American say no, but

One of them I think is funny as fuck. I can swear on your show. Yes.

Luke, I say is the least one that I would have thought I would have had to have spent all of this time with. Now like we're contracted to be together all the friggin time.

He just was. He was like my special brother. He's gay. We used to. Oh, so you have two gay.

Me and Patrick are gay and we used to just have a lot of wild fun together. So I think that's why the fantasy. Listen, Patrick's on his own journey. I don't think he is at all. They're pretty, like, the family's pretty supportive. A lot of them are. Like, we knew Scott would end up there. We just didn't know Luke would be sitting.

Scott didn't have the cognitive function to get himself into this position by himself. Like, he's not good with technology.

So how did you guys. I know that you kind of popped off during TikTok and what was really, what was it that you started to do it, saw that it got traction and that like, wait a minute, this is really fun and we could actually make this profitable.

[Luke]

Well, it was during COVID and in Melbourne, Australia, where we're from, there was a massive lockdown there.

[Heather McDonald]

Right.

[Luke]

The most locked down city during the

[Scott (Sassy)]

time in the world.

[Luke]

So the house, I was, I was in a rental that got sold and I needed to go to go somewhere to go live. So then fast forward, I'm at Scott's house.

[Scott (Sassy)]

I had the nice house in the pool.

[Heather McDonald]

So it was like, I'm gonna live with him and you will not be arrested because it's 2026. Did you, before going to his house, do like a 10 day in a hut by yourself to make sure that you were not bringing any germs with you?

[Luke]

No, no, I was that working in a hospital. So I'm a radiographer working in a public hospital. So I had germs everywhere. I was bringing them to him. I.

[Heather McDonald]

It didn't matter. So you're like, okay, fine.

[Luke]

And even though I was still working, I was pretty fortunate back then. There was a lot of people that weren't able to work. They were losing jobs. But I still was able to go to work. However, I still wanted to do something. There was still something that I needed to get out. And then that was through social media. I always wanted to make content, just didn't know what to make content about. I didn't want to be the face of anything.

[Scott (Sassy)]

Then I'm living with Scott, I'm happy to.

[Luke]

And I leave a Towel on the ground. And he's squealing like, ah, there's a towel, a wet towel. It's gonna ruin my rug. And I would just film those interactions.

[Heather McDonald]

And at that time, five, six years ago, were you already married and were your kids already married?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Kids weren't there. My husband and I been together while 13 years. Kids only came along two and a half years ago.

[Heather McDonald]

Oh, so they're little?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Yeah. Okay. Yeah. And they were born in Texas.

[Heather McDonald]

Awesome. Yeah.

So fast forward. I uploaded one video, and it did really well online. I think it got over a million views overnight. And I was like, ooh, gave me a little buzz. I'm like, I want to do that again. Didn't change the recipe, just changed.

And it was me and my wedding, and it was the way I responded to it. So our celebrant accidentally pronounced me and my husband, husband and wife.

And I went, whoa.

And I went viral video.

And then so he just kept putting it up online, and people just had this huge response towards us, and then the rest was history. He started pranking me and fucking. Here we are.

Let's quickly just tell the day in the life of when Selena Gomez decided she also want. She wanted to be the sister in the family. And let's just hear about that.

So I'm laying on the couch one day. Selena had already started following us, and she was commenting on quite a few of our videos. And then one day, I'm half asleep on the couch on my phone. I get a dm. I'm like, oh, here we go. And then it's her team. Rare beauty. Everyone's just copied in together. And they're like, hey, Selena's got some time in a few days. She would love to meet you guys. Are you open for it in Australia? So we're in Melbourne, Australia, right now. And I was like, what the fuck?

Because she was in there.

[Scott (Sassy)]

No. Oh, no, no.

I'm calling Scott. I'm like, hey, Selena wants to meet us. It was like, off, shit, prank, goodbye. And that's up on me. So I'm like, oh, now I'm gonna have to convince him it's actually the team. So I'm screenshotting, setting. I'm like, no, it's happening. Like, I think they want us to go the next week. So sure enough, I think it was the next day, black cars arrived, picked us up, put us on a plane straight to la, straight to First Classic is of course.

And hang on. No, you know what?

I was not a private plane or I Wasn't traveling.

I. They booked us business. Next day. It was next day. And I went, I don't fly United. I'm not getting on a United flight.

We've had trauma.

United, we've not added. We don't know why.

We've been grounded in America before.

You just had really trauma.

And then they went, no problem. And they put us on Quantus then. And the.

The best thing about you, that United Airlines flight was canceled.

Yeah, it was canceled. The one we were supposed to be on. And we're like, oh, okay.

So you fly there? Fly.

We get here to America.

[Heather McDonald]

Well, you get out of the la, so you land in lax, and there's more black cars waiting.

[Scott (Sassy)]

Customs is like, border, border. Like, border force. Customs was like, what are you doing here? And I was like, oh, we're here to see Selena Gomez. And he was like, I'm sorry, sir. And I'm like, we're here to see Selena, you know? And he was like, what?

[Heather McDonald]

Like, that's your reason? Like, your reason for filling out the thing. It's like business or pleasure?

[Scott (Sassy)]

You're like, selena, we look like crazy fans. He's like, I'm sorry, sir. And I'm like, have you got TikTok? He's like, no. And I'm like, instagram? He's like, no. And I'm like, snapchat. Like. And looks like, yeah, like, showing the dance. He's like, get on in there, guys. Like, say hi to Selena for me. And then we're like, we get out. And I'm like, what did he think I was saying to him? Like, we're speaking two different languages.

We get in more black cars, go to this beautiful hotel, get picked up by her team. They take us out to Nobu Malibu, because they have to sense check us, right? Are they the real deal? Are they psychopaths? Or are they what we hope that they are?

And then the next day we went to this house and we hung out with her. And, you know, she just. The celebrities at her scale that have come into our world, we feel they wouldn't be able to infiltrate or come into it if they weren't the real deal.

And they're like, yeah, she's our stepsister. That's like, how, like, half sister. And then I say, and then I said to her. And then I just walk out of the interview and, like, I leave them, like, gaslit. Like, what the fuck? Why didn't we know that? And she goes, keep telling that story. That's hilarious. And I was like, yay. That's how you know she's like one of our people.

Well, I loved this one thing coming across your feed that you did this really funny idea where you tell your parent who your parents are. Great. We did these. One of us did these bad things. Growing up that you didn't know about. Guess which one did it? But they were all fake, so they're just, like, horrified that they raised two monsters. They're like, where were we? What do you mean, you did this? How did you come up with that idea?

And then we saw this uncle at our dad's 70th recently. He's like, you don't know what you guys have done at work. Everyone was like, you kissed Sassy Scott

We could have been dangerous.

She said, I just have to say that video of when he shaved your dog's hair off or something. She's like, was the funniest. And I forgot that prank had happened.

Because there's been so many over the years, and everyone you meet has a different one that they love.

Yeah.

Now, there was another one that you did where you took him yelling at you about you drank all the milk, and he was really excited to have that milk for an iced coffee, which honestly, stuff like that. I've been married 26 years. I'm on your side.

[Scott (Sassy)]

You get it?

Of course I'm on your side. And I always remember it was my milk.

[Luke]

I don't care.

[Scott (Sassy)]

It's my house. And he would eat everything else. He would drink things. Luke was the type that. I don't know if he did it on purpose or he is lazy. What you did. That's true.

So then you put it to a certain. So he has someone put it to, like. I guess it was like, whatever, AI Song or something, but you put all the words to it. It went to a song, and then it just shows you coming out to the pool where he's relaxing, screaming about the milk. The iced coffee is not gonna be the same.

And.

[Heather McDonald]

But I was like. I mean, I think you were really mad then.

I was mad.

You were really mad.

Because for days, Luke's the type that would just. He would, like, prep me before he knew I was gonna pop. He would do lots of things.

So this was planned out.

This was a delivery come for his coffee. The pranks, early days.

You don't just do stuff, like, accidentally. And he gets mad.

Yes, he does, but he doesn't film that. He knows if he does enough things to get me mad over the week,

like, I'm not gonna do a prank right after. He's, like, bought a punnet of roses and he's all happy. Like, I need him already at a lower benchmark.

Yeah. So Luke would, like, leave things around the house, and he'd go to work for eight hours. And, like, he was just, like, messy in my home. And really, like, I had a big problem.

Heather, can I just make it clear? I was paying top dollar in rent, by the way.

You had a good house. And. But, like, we had a contract. I kicked Luke out once, and I created a contract for him to come back in. And one of the terms, I got lawyers to write a Contract. But I. One of the terms was he would walk into my house and go, oh, your dogs are so annoying. And I'd be like, just pat them and say hello. Yeah.

He's like, pay me to be back on. They'll be scratching.

And you cannot talk about pets in la.

They're happy to see you better.

Now, I remember one time my daughter said I was mad about something, and she just. She was young, like 12. I've been doing standup for a very long time. And, you know, I would talk about my life and stuff in the standup, and I was getting mad about something. And she goes to her younger brothers, don't worry, in two weeks, it'll be part of her act, and she'll be laughing about it. And I was like, she read that?

Yeah.

[Heather McDonald]

And I was like, yeah, you're right. That's, like, the only reason, like, when people are like, oh, my God, you've been married so long. And I remember one time I said to Natasha Leggero, who's a comedian, I go, well, staying married's kind of my brand.

Mom always said she wanted four boys, but I don't know if I've.

Well, everyone always said that one no, but she said I had her on the line. I had three brothers, three sisters. And she said, you know, my brothers would smack on and fight, but they would move on with the day. Totally. She said me and my sisters were so.

It's so different.

So different. And she just said, I just. I didn't want that in a house again.

[Heather McDonald]

It's so true. I remember when my. My sons would fight and stuff and I'd be like, that's it. You know, you're not playing together anymore. And then they'd be like, okay, we're fine. Because like, they don't want to not be able to. And it's just like. It's just so. It is such. So fascinating, like the, the difference between boys and girls. And it has nothing to do with sexuality or anything.

Not at all.

Correct. You have a boy's brain. You have a boy's mentality of like, you know, getting mad and then getting over it and busting each other's balls in a way that women don't. They. When women do it, it's called mean girls.

When guys do it, it's just like busting balls, whatever, teasing. And it's like all fine. It's just. So now who is her favorite?

It changes. But most of the time would be you. But then you had twin boys and she loves that.

I was a very shy, anxious child growing up too.

So also I just think, like, because you kind of have like a round face now. It must have been just a very

high face, blue eyes. The rest of us had brown eyes. He had blue eyed baby.

Oh my gosh. So I'm the youngest of five, but all of us had brown eyes except for my sister. And my mom made such a big deal about the blue eyes. Like, she put us in like matching outfits. And my sister would always get the blue one and then I'd get what other color was available. And finally I like jokingly, cause I was basically doing stand up as a young kid, brought that up. And she felt so bad. And then everything that she got me after that was blue or turquoise, whatever. Because I was like, why do you think that people with brown eyes can't wear blue? Like, why are you such a freak? You know? And it was just. Yeah, but also being the baby, I remember one time I felt my dad finally like, got mad at me for something. And I remember my brothers and all the older kids, they did, like, a slow, like, finally, like, clap. Like, they get really happy when the youngest one gets in trouble. Because you are the baby. You don't know any better.

Luke didn't even answer the friggin. You know, the landline growing up, like, till he was like, 16 years of age. A. Because I don't think he had to. Right, Right. Like, why the fuck would I get up and answer the phone?

[Luke]

Like, no one would be calling for me. Why would I answer?

[Scott (Sassy)]

To get up and get it.

Like, it was a laziness and an entitlement, but. But also, he didn't know how to talk to people. Luke would buckle.

Well, I also remember. I remember being young enough that I'm in a high chair and I remember going like, I couldn't say spoon. I'd say, poon. Poon. And then I remember one day, I was like, I think I know how to say spoon. But I was like, but why? Because I would just, like, point and they'd all get me stuff. And so then my mom, like, took me to a speech therapist and the guy's like. The doctor's like, no, she can talk. But, like, everybody.

I want to see if everyone talks for it.

[Heather McDonald]

And everybody's, like, catering to me.

[Scott (Sassy)]

Yep.

[Luke]

Yeah, funny that you said that. I remember in primary school, Here we go. I was given an envelope, I think, to a speech therapist. And I was like, absolutely not. And never gave it to Mum and Dad. Didn't you? It was a big yellow envelope. And I was like, oh, my God, they don't think I can speak. That brought back a memory.

[Heather McDonald]

That's so funny. So you guys had a great time working together. So now tell me a little bit. So do you like his husband?

Yeah, Marcus. Marcus is awesome.

And if he didn't, I'd, like, he'd know what came for him.

So I knew what. I always answered that way.

Yes. And so when did. But when. So when did you come out?

I was 24 or 25. Which was which? I mean, each of their own every. We all have our own journey, ride and story.

Did you ever think that you could be straight or try to have girlfriends?

Yeah.

I've gone down on girls. I had girlfriends, the hottest ones. Congrats.

Well, a lot of guys, a lot of gays don't even try.

That's true. I tried. And I was good at it.

And I didn't want to be gay, you know? Marcus and I, we always say, you can't be what you can't see.

How did the world watch this? And when he came out, I went, there's this shame. I went, mum and dad can't have two gay sons. So I felt really bad for them. And then. So I went deeper into the closet whilst Patrick was flying that flag.

And was Patrick like, come on, I think you are too, or nobody? Or did you anybody wonder?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Huh? We thought it was Scott, but it's Patrick. And then. So that kind of took a little bit of, like, heat off in a weird way.

[Heather McDonald]

But then was there a little bit. Did he. But was it. Maybe they were too celebratory? And then you're like, wait, I was the first gay?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Yeah, Patrick's definitely like, uh, let's not forget I walked so you could run.

[Heather McDonald]

Okay, so then when did you finally decide to officially say it?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Oh, listen, it was. It was my mental health. It all just became like, you know, it was too quite consuming. I had a close relationship with an. With a football player. So somebody played in Aussie rules, a players still never come out, you know, as gay to this day. And. And there was just too much. And I just remember going, this is going to eat me up and consume me. And it was. And I remember thinking, oh, my God, I just want to say something I shouldn't. You know, like, you hear about, I remember clocking, I'm just gonna marry a woman and I'm just gonna fuck a guy once every two weeks, right? And. And just like, keep it, like, behind closed doors. And I just remember thinking, this is crazy. Like, I. I committed to going, that's gonna be my life. And then I went, what are you doing? What do you mean? You're gonna have kids in a picket white fence and you're gonna fuck a man once every two weeks? Like, what? And then I. And then when I finally came out, it was. It was the best thing I ever did.

[Heather McDonald]

And were you. And your parents had already been very accepting of Patrick?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Yes, absolutely. And so, you know, and Mum was like, oh, my God. Like, she was more upset.

[Luke]

I remember Grandma was the biggest supporter at the time, wasn't she?

[Scott (Sassy)]

Yeah, Grandma was phenomenal. She was like, anyone got a problem, we'll fuck them up. Oh, geez.

[Heather McDonald]

I love it. Yeah.

Yeah.

She was your ride or die. She was the one you wanna play.

Was she the grandma of your dad or your mom.

Absolute true definition, meaning of matriarch. Luke and I have done live shows and everything, and, you know, the way we honor her, who was she was. Call it. She had a mouth on her like a trucker.

I say, I'm my grandmother's grandson, not my mother's son. My mum's never said. Our mum's never said a swear word in her life. She never cusses.

Never. And she would have four boys that would push her. You can imagine.

Yes. And we put up content now and it'll be like, did you have to use that one of the boys like the C word? We'll drop it every now and then. She's just, like, disgusted.

Yeah. Like, mom, it's making us money now.

[Heather McDonald]

So you. I was watching, going through your stuff and wait, I want to go to this way. I want to go back to these. This was kind of an emotional moment that you had on your show and you were talking about Mother's Day and how much you love your mother. And being that you are a gay man with a husband and you have these boys, you kind of really broke down. And I thought it was a really vulnerable moment that not a lot of gay parents discuss publicly in that there isn't a mother, per se, a female that. That is there to be with your children. And I just thought that was very vulnerable. And really, you want to just kind of explain what you were thinking when you were talking about it.

[Scott (Sassy)]

And Luke and I blew up really hard on TikTok and we're sharing a 1% of who we were in minute videos for so long, and I feel we are quite far more diverse. And there was more we wanted to say and do and share. And we've got stories for days, right. And we love the entertainment factor. And I love vulnerability as well, and especially in men. And I love. I stand up for women no matter what. Right? Like, I will back the woman and believe her first and foremost all the time. Why? Because history shows that we should. And I said actually to Joe last night at a dinner that actually when I was being called the, like, you know, the gay Slurpee, you know, in the clubs or whatever, partying. It was my girlfriends that would, like, jump and glass a guy, you know, it wasn't my. My. My. My bro mates that were like. They were the ones, like, hiding from it or like, trying to, like, disarm. It was always women that had my back. And, you know, we found ourselves one day, my husband and I, I clocked that, oh my God, I had such a beautiful mom and wonderful relationship still with her that I felt really emotional that my boys will never have a mom. It's not that I felt guilty, like, oh, no, they've only got two dads. Because everyone, I believe, just needs a parent that believes in them and is gonna, you know, bat for them and support them. I just went, they're never gonna have what we had in a mom. And from that point when I started sharing it on our podcast, because that allows us to share more of ourselves, I was able to, I think, really articulate how incredible women are purely by gender default. Usually are the ones that have to work a full time job and then come home and work another full time job purely by gender and the default of it. And I tried my hardest to really say to women and mums especially, I see you. And the most fucked up thing that happened after that was it felt like it took a man to say how incredible women are for women to be seen. Like women have been saying and been doing this job, as in being a mom and being the, you know, the full time, you know, having to get a full time job and then being a mom working full time. And it took a man to say, well done for them to go, thank you. Finally somebody sees us and I'm like, you didn't need a man to say, I see you. I think, what was, does that make sense?

[Heather McDonald]

Yes. But what I think was really cool about it is, you know, thank God anybody, you know, not anybody, but, you know, with the means if you, if you are not in a hetero relationship, you don't just roll over and get pregnant naturally. That we have this way of everybody having the ability to become a parent with, you know, the proper help and support. And whether you do that as a single person or whether you do it as a gay couple or whatever it might be, or, or you have to leave your partner because they are not a good partner. And I just think that, I think too often people in their support of gay men having children, you don't wanna bring up the fact, like, about the mom. Like, I've had other gay parents say, my child doesn't have a mom. And I go, no, I know they don't. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it. Like, I think sometimes gay men might have a little bit of a defensive, yes, like my child. And I'm like, no, I don't think anyone's. But I thought it was, you know, beautiful and true and Just like anybody would look at something where they're like, wow. Or if you're a working parent and you're like, wow. My mom was home all day with me, and my kids don't have that. Like, I kind of took that from that. Yes.

[Scott (Sassy)]

And that's what I. And that's what I meant. And a lot of people took their version from that. Like the DMs. Still to this day. People talk about that to me and women, a lot of them say, you healed something in me. I had a dad that didn't see me or parents. I had a mum that was terrible. I want you to know, I see how much you love being a parent. And then that's healed something in me that there are parents out there that love being a mum or a dad. Either way, there were so many incredible things that, like, you know, really came our way after sharing that.

[Heather McDonald]

Yeah. And I think it also just showed that you are someone, you know, you're this funny, outgoing person, but that you, you know, recognize. Recognize things that. That you. That you might think in your, like, funny way that you might not be there. So I think that's really important as funny people that in this industry, which I think makes the longevity of people like us last, is. Is showing that authenticity.

[Scott (Sassy)]

We're just scared. We ain't scared to show it all. But Ms. Rachel gave us no choice. My boys said, mummy one day. And I was like, the fuck? Oh.

[Heather McDonald]

Because of Ms. Reed. I'm like.

[Scott (Sassy)]

They were like 1 years old, and they're like, mama. And I was like, holy shit balls.

[Heather McDonald]

Yeah.

[Scott (Sassy)]

I didn't think I'd have to have this conversation with you boys at one. And I was like, sit down. I'm like, oh, God, here we go. I'm like, marcus, we gotta tell the boys that they don't have a mom. Right? Like, they got two dads. Sorry, boys. And we did, and we had this conversation, and we do it a lot. And I. And I talk to them. I'm very intentional with them because one day I went, we gotta tell them that they've got two dads. Because it's like. It feels like it's a very normal family. And it is our normal. But I went, we grow. We're in a very white, fucking, you know, privileged area. And, you know, one of my boys is, you know, is brown. The other one is gonna be. Is full of fucking life. They're gonna have to explain that they've got two dads and why they look the way they are and everything.

And I so they're fraternal twins.

They are fraternal twins, yes. So one's biologically mine, one's biologically Marcus's. Oh, so they have the same egg

donor and so they're technically. They're half brothers.

So this is the idea of doing any improv where I read out a fake scenario. Normally it's been sent in by someone from our audience too, where Scott has to react to it live. So it can be from anything. And I just think by doing that, by seeing that, anybody that gets that, whether you're a high school kid or whatever, you've got to toughen up your skin because this shit isn't going away and cyber bullying isn't going away. And there's gotta be a way to, like, be in this earth and. And use it because it's so valuable. It's not like you can't really be on social media. If you're not on social media, people suspect that there' wrong with you.

I'm like, sounds like I'm getting four hands or two double sessions, like, not wasting it. I walk in and there's these two Uzbeki women. One is sitting on the bed. The one that's clearly supposed to be massaging Luke. That's like, great. I've got an hour off. She's eating fried chicken on the bed as her mate starts massaging me, right?
